Speaker 2 (00:22):
How you feel?
Speaker 3 (00:24):
I could tell, honestly, Debo, when you always keep throwing
this shade my side, understand, I'm I'm even.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I love the Browns. I love the Steelers.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
When the Steelers do good, I feel well when the
Browns do good.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I feel well when they.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Do Okay, Okay, So that being the case, let me
ask you a question. When you're going to the hall,
what you're going in as.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
It would be a Cleveland Brown debot it that's all.
That's all I was checking, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Okay, look, bump all that. Let's talk about it. Let's
talk about your Steelers. How are you feeling? I see
you feeling wold chested today. I'm feeling really double toiled up.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
I woke up in the morning, you know, like Ricky Bobby,
and we just pissed excellence. You know when when when
we win, I get French. You know what I'm saying,
I kind of don't. I kind of don't know what
to do with my hands, you know, you know, I
just what did I do?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Oh? You got rings on your fingers? Bad? I didn't
even notice that. They just they just be there sometimes anyway.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
But uh, let me go ahead, let me get let
me get you.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Let me give a view of that one right here,
this one right here. You go.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Really like this one, Joe, you really like this one. Oh,
it's two of them things over there.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
What is that? There's two of them things over there.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
I couldn't be I couldn't be more proud. I couldn't
be more proud. You deserve it.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
You worked hard for those super little rings. You worked
hard for those super Bowl rings, and you know what,
you deserve to flying them.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
And I'm here then and then listen.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I've got the I got I got the black version
of it too. Though. You know what I'm saying that
you keep it off.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I was just just yeah, that's just sometimes you know,
you deserve it.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Sometimes it happened like that, you know, I to give
you your flowers.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
I mean, you know, I'm giving my still es state flowers.
We're giving all of them. He's still a nation, you know,
Rise up. This is what we do.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Man. You know what I'm saying that that's just that's
just how it happens. Man.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
You know, so excited you I'm just saying. I'm just saying,
we go out there. I mean, thirty four, thirty two.
You know what we got right here? Aaronz Rodgers. He
threw four touchdowns in his debut. Brother, he had a
four touchdowns, zero interception game.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
That's the twenty eighth time in his career.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Dude, he ties guess who Tom Brady for the most
in NFL history. Rogers said to him, he said, there's
probably people in this organization that didn't think I could
play anymore. So it was nice to remind those people
that I still can. I'm just happy to beat everybody
associated with the Jets.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
You know what, man, I.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Was extremely extremely happy to see Aaron back in Aaron form.
That is something that we really didn't get to see
a lot of last year when he was with the Jets.
So I'm happy. How surprised are you to see how
well Aaron did? And honestly, I'm not surprised at all.
(03:17):
I'm not surprised at all.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Remember I said this before, Aaron Rodgers is one of
my favorite quarterbacks of all time, being able to throw
the ball, putting it in the positions that are amazing.
He doesn't turn the ball over. He's not going to
be the reason that they lose the game. He's going
to be the reason why they normally are going.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
To win a game.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
So I just think with even this time, the defense
didn't play as good as I expected. They were running
the ball very, very free hal Bruce Brice Hall, he
was breaking through everything, you know what I'm saying, looking
like he wasn't getting touched a lot of the time.
So I just love the fact that Aaron Rodgers, no
matter what happens, they was able to win the game.
He wasn't turning the ball over. He threw four touchdown
passes in completion. Just it was just great to see.
(03:56):
It was like an artist at work, and that's what
I love to see that he normally does. And at
the beginning of the game, it's going to be the
line protecting him, trying to keep him up right because
he's not as mobile as he used to be, so
the first player of the game he got sacked.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
I was a little spooked.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
I didn't want to see him get up you know
what I'm saying, Like, come on line, just keep him
up right. He is a little older, so as long
as they protect him, he's gonna be able to put
the ball where it needs to be. He's not going
to turn the boat over. He's not gonna lose games
for the stealers. So that was just good to see him.
Coach Tomlin and Cam leaving after the joint Aaron Rodgers like, yeah,
I don't hear nothing now now, so yeah, it was
(04:31):
good to see.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah. So I'm gonna tell you something.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
This is the first time I have ever watched every
game that was played on a Sunday. Dude, Like, I've
seen a lot of games, and it's gonna sound crazy.
I've never I was never a player that was like this,
but just watching the games and not being in a
position where.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I'm able to control it.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Now, I'm trying to get like an insider, who I
think is going to do what?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
You know how much you know.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
H know who's gonna win? Basically you know I can't
control it, and just from this week just looking. I
believe there's a little bit of luck or how shall
I say, missed opportunities or favored almost dude, as far
(05:19):
as who will have that edge at the end. You know,
you go back to Aaron. Aaron had four touchdowns and
he had no picks. It was a couple opportunities there
where they had the ball in their hand and they
missed that opportunity. You know, you get into it later
in the game and you get the Bible all the
(05:42):
way around and DK comes up with the ball. You know,
I go to other games, you know, even at the
start of the Baltimore you know game, it was right
there on the first drive, Raven had the ball in
his hand. Opportunity, he missed the opportunity, drops the ball.
They going to score something, you know what I'm saying.
So when I when I when I when I was
looking at all these games, dude, it uh, I don't
(06:05):
know if I'm just you know, trying to pick out something.
You know, how you're watching film. I'm back to you know,
watching film. I done seen every game, so I'm trying
to get some type of you know, insight.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
To to what's going on.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
My big positives, I should say from this is uh,
you know, able to see Aaron, you know, get back
into the forum that you know, we're used to seeing
him play and really impacting the game. And and in
the most positive way.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Something else is the special teams.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
You know, the special teams they made, they made big
plays they got gave the defense, gave the offense another
opportunity that they wouldn't have had. You know, he got Bosworth,
he's back, he's you know, he looks like he's back
at what the forum was he left off last year.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
So those those are positive.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
But again, as as you were saying, my you say
it's a little thing, but my big cause for concern
is the offensive line. Like the fact that Aaron has
a great knowledge and understanding of the game is the
reason he wasn't pressured more than he was. And he
(07:13):
was pressured during that game even with him getting the
ball off. So to have him back there and able
to see it right now and get the ball off,
able to check out of things and make it a
quick route and you know something, and now.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
The offensive line.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Not being able to you know, get efficient run blocking,
you know, no consistency in the run block. And that's
another thing where you know, Aaron had to adjust to
having now's where you know, how it goes to an
actual run game alternative where instead of handing the ball off,
you just throw it right now and let the receiver
you know, try and get yards, you know, so you
(07:52):
still stay ahead of the sticks. That was cost for
concern for me as far as the offense went. The defense, dude,
we gotta be able to stop the run.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
I was not.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
You know, impressed or happy with how you know, our
d line was playing, how how the whole defense was
playing to be to be honest with you, we didn't
have any like real consistency and.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Stopping to run.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
I think they almost average what five yards and carry
things at least. Yeah, So when you you know, you
add that to the fact that we didn't have real
consistent you know, quarterback pressure, you know, on uh on
on on him to to get him to be able
to you know, have to let the ball go sooner
than he wanted to. That's my you know, that's that's
(08:47):
my biggest issue. I don't see it as a panic.
I just see it as concerned. It's the first game.
You have guys that come out and play up. You
have some guys that may get a little nervous and
may not play up to the level that they're capable of.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
I will put I will put a lot of that
on with the Jets. I think Justin Fields played an
amazing game. I think him with with Brycehall being able
to have that run game consistent. He was using his legs,
he looked like a wide receiver. He looked like a
running back out there when he was toting the ball,
hitting the edge full speed, you know what I'm saying,
trying to get those first downs, and then some of
those passes to Wilson was actually.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
On the money.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
And when that run game is that good, When Bryce
Saw's breaking runs for ten fifteen yards and then Justin
Fields is like doing that Reid option, taking it and pulling.
Running for fifteen yards is going to bring up the defense.
So I think he was doing a good job of,
you know, just keeping us kind of on our heels.
We didn't know really what to do if he was
going to run it, if Haul was going to run it,
or if he was actually going through.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Well, that's what happens when you can't you know, when
you can't stop the run, you're you're opening up a whole,
Shane warns, because now the play actually comes into play,
and they were keeping fields you know, upright for most
of it. So now he's having the time to actually
look and see and and and know where he needs
to put the ball without being rushed to say, Okay,
(10:07):
I think it's gonna be here because I'm feeling this pressure.
I'm either going to get I'm either going to get hit,
sacked or whatever. And without having a consistent you know, run,
you can't consistently stop the run game.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
There.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
They were just basically almost like having their way, you know,
at points of the game. And if it wasn't for
you know, you know, Aaron going and doing something that
puts him, you know, like you said the twenty eight
time four touchdown no interception game, and that was one
of the big things where you know, we didn't have
a turnover, they did and gave us another possession and
(10:42):
the outcome, you know.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Is the outcome back a Rod too, like you said
he was, he was getting it to different options a
lot of different players. I didn't even know who fifteen
was when he got the first touchdown pass of the game.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
It worked out when he works out at the same
gym with my trainer out there and in Arizona.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
That's why I knew. That's why I knew who he was.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
So shout out, shout out fifteen because he was spansing.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Yeah, Yeah, he did his thing. He did his thing
for sure.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
What about Oh, in my last before you go, Before
you go, I had to say the thing too. You
talked about my man, bank Row Boss. That's what I
called him when I was there with the Steelers. Bank Boss,
bank Row Boss. He gonna come through in the clutch.
He's looking sweet. He doing what he gotta do. I
love Boss. Me and Boss have a great relationship. Every
time he kicked it off when I ran defense ran out,
(11:34):
Me and him tapped up every time. I love him.
He had an off year a couple of years ago,
but we went to the Pro Bowl together. And that's
another clutch part. Special teams him, Danny Smith, coach, Danny Smith,
all that gum in his mouth. He's the one of
the best special teams coaches for sure, still in the league.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
He's the man.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
So I think him with bank Row Boss. And then
we got old, we got veteran a Rod. They team
is just looking like and now like I said, wait,
just win, win and you can understand. Now let's go
to and up. You know what I'm saying. We got
the Seahawks coming to the crib. So shout out bank roboj,
shout out Danny Smith.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
They look good. We wont definitely, definitely. So let's let's
get over here to this. This Bill's Ravens game. Man,
the Ravens had a fifteen point lead, dude, and we're
in the fourth flild It says they had a ninety
one ninety nine point one win probability forty to twenty
(12:29):
five with less than five minutes to go. Well, we
got Derek Hearing costly fun on the fourth quarter. My
thing is this on this I'm not going again. I
told you I was watching these games. Man, I don't
watch all these games. So I'm going into the category
again of you know, missed opportunities and.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
So the first quarter you had Josh Allen and he's
going down. He throws the ball the raven right into
his hand, he drops it. They end up scoring. They
end up scoring seven points on that right. So in
my head, now, like I said, I'm watching all these games.
Maybe you know the luck is.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Leaning towards them, right, And then you get to the
end of the.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Uh, you know, of the second end of the second
quarter begin, you know, and thirty seconds left, I believe
they had and you let.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Them go down there and score three points. You know
what I hate.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I hate the pre event defense, dude, I think it
play a regular defense until your quarter, don't you go?
And you give him? You get Josh Allen all this
time you rush no one like no one on that plate,
and you think he's not going to find a way
to come up with that.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
That makes no sense.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Now again, going back to the left, and you get
into the third quarter, you know they had a penalty,
The penalty ends up, gives them an opportunity. The Bills
go down, they score again. Okay, it's you know it
may be with it be okay. So you get to
the fourth quarter, right, and they're still to me as
(14:07):
if they're playing you know, their regular offense and defense.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
And I believe it was Cooks.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
You know, they pressured him, he did a little pass,
he goes down and he gets almost you know, he
almost gets the touchdown, right, So they go back.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
And forth for hot second.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Then Baltimore they go and I believe it was about
twelve minutes left in the fourth quarter. Okay, and they
score and then they missed the pat that's when they
talking about it was twenty five to forty. In my head,
I'm like, yo, this is a two score game, and
(14:44):
in these two scores you could possibly lose because if
they go for two both times, that puts him at
forty one. You were at forty. This is what I'm
thinking in my head.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Right.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
So the game goes, they go to the run the ball,
try and burn the clock, and it looks like to me,
the defense goes to the prevent, the big pass, all
that stuff. Right, Yes, what happens again, I told you
I've been watching these games. I'm feeling like they luck
(15:14):
thing hitting again.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
It's it's still.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
But you get the tip pass that goes to Koleman
for a touchdown. Right, Buffalo. Now remind you they still
have all their timeouts. Okay, Baltimore's going back on the field.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
The very first play fortune misfortune, three minutes left, Derrick
Henry fulmos the rock, dude. Buffalo scores. Okay, they score
two minutes. Well, I don't think it was a little after
two minutes lift. I think it was like one fifty
(15:50):
something that was left on the clock. Now, mind you,
they still got all their timeouts right then and there.
I'm like, this is not going to end well. I
believe that they're going to lose the game. How do
you lose a game. I don't care that they lost.
I do care that they lost game. Only reason I
care that they lost the game it's the Ravens. I
want them to lose. I want to lose.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
All the time. I wish everybody could have lost.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
The only reason Cincinnati or Cleveland couldn't lost because they
was playing each other, right, So I want them to lose.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
But what I.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Hate seeing is defenses that it looked like to me,
go and start shutting it down and packing it up
because they think they're far enough ahead that you can
lax into it. Even with the defensive calling. Like the
defensive calling didn't even look the same to me. It
looked like a you know, up to keep everything up front,
don't let them get big plays, you know, tackle to catch, Like,
(16:40):
I don't think there's something you can do, obviously, it's
not something you could do when they have Josh Allen,
plus they got like all their timeouts. Them boys didn't
even have to use a time out until it was
what after a minute something when they got the ball
back it's and then again they went to the ravens.
(17:01):
Hey they go run the ball and make them use
their timeouts. Well, it don't work if they're knowing that
you're just going to run the ball. You gotta let
Lamar open up that play book, give them an opportunity
to make a play like you win some, you lose
some hinsight. Being fifty to fifty, I'm thinking.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
They would have liked to have took a chance of
passing the rocket and seeing what happened. You So like
they were playing like not to lose instead of to
win the game. I felt like.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
When they got to that fourth quarter with the twelve
minutes left, they started playing to run the clock out
and make them use a plot to try and score.
It wasn't the same offense that they had the first
you know, three and so quarters. It wasn't the same
(17:47):
defense that they played the first you know three or
so quarters.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
That's I feel like one thousand percent.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
But the part where you were saying that you watching
the games and the misfortune happen win. My man, you're
up fifteen points, right, and you have Dereck Henry and
you have Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
When he fumbled that ball, that's that's just that's just unfortunate.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
We can't have that when we're trying to close out
the bills. You know what I'm saying, That's just something
that can't happen. And then when we do get the
ball back, understanding they only need a field goal to
beat us, you know what I'm saying, Like, not only
do they don't have to just score, they just need
a field goal.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
We need to keep the ball away from Josh Allen.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Nothing that we've done is showing me that we're gonna
be able to stop him with our defense. So it's
fourth and two. I'm going forward. I'm heading it Joe
to Lamar, Lamar.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
And Derek Henry. We're running a re option.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
We're doing something with maybe like a little pass option
in the flat. I'm keeping the ball in our hands.
We're gonna determine if we're gonna be able to close
this out with a fourth and two, one play to
win the game. You get this first down, now you
can basically kneel it out. You punted it back to
Josh Allen depending on your defense, which has shown me
we can't stop him.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Right now, you're saying, like, what are we doing? Look
like they couldn't stop him at all. He needs to
get a field goal.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
So like at the end of the day, Well, my
thing is everything being what it was. We up fifteen
derreck Henry fumble, all right, boom, they got the ball back,
they scored, They're going to get the ball and score
again and get a field goal something. I'm not letting
him get the ball back if I'm the Ravens, you
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
So that's my mindset. You got to play to win
the game.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
You're already playing back letting them just think it dunk
down the field of scoring. You cheap the ball in
your best player's hands and try to get that first
down to close it out. Don't don't leave it on
the defense. So I think that's where they messed up.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Yeah, I guess, Derek said. He said, I told my
teammates after the game that the loss is on me.
I own it like a man. I got lxic days ago.
They made a play, but I put this on this
loss on me. I'll take care of the ball. I
feel like it would be different, It would be a
different if I take care of the ball. I feel
like it would be a different situation.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Yes, if he does that, you know, it makes it
to where they have a better opportunity to win. But
I think it was a combination of would look like
to me, you know, the offense trying to burn time
and the defense trying not to get big plays you know,
chalked up on them, and just you.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
Going some play calling. You gotta stay, Yeah, you got
to you got to stay. Don't act like we're not
trying to. We're not trying to just walk out of here.
We want to beat them. We want to continue to
score points. You know what I'm saying, not like looking
at the clock, clock watching right.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
So, you know, you go in situation like this and
you lose, you know that right there is going to
going to wear you know, on your confidence. You know,
going into another situation where you may be in that
same you know, in that same situation and now you're
kind of you know, things start.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Going, they get they get a little touch here, they
get a little little something there.
Speaker 1 (20:47):
You know, that's something that may creep into you know,
some guy's minds. I'm hoping that it's not. But you know,
when you're out there calling and you're playing through it,
especially when you can't make the calls as a offensive sorry,
as a defensive play caller, and you're you're taking your
calls from you know, the coordinator, it gets it gets frustrated.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Yeah, and I think now too, it's starting to get
to a point where the Ravens got to start looking
at it's really it's nobody else but the Bills or
the Chiefs, you know what I'm saying, Like they started
like it gets a little tight situation. No other teams
are beating the Ravens in this game. They have fifteen
on anybody else. I'm not seeing them losing. I can
see if it's the Bills with Josh Allen or the
Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes, where they've been in situation and
(21:33):
it just got a little sticky, got tricky where they
just can't close out these teams.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
I don't know why. Like you said, the play calling too,
you got to give it.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
You got like I said, it's ninety percent you know
the player. You know, you got to give credit to
Josh Allen. You know the raining who went He went
what thirty three for forty six with almost four hundred yards,
passing two touchdowns, you know, along with you know, two
more scores on the ground.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
You know, so.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
You can't just you know, say it. He balled out,
no doubt, no question. But the Ravens, you know, they
gave him. I believe they gave him a little help
by making it, you know a little easier and not
not putting the pressure on him, not playing your defense
the way you were playing it before. You know, you
allowed him to actually become the Bills all time Russian
leader in that game for touchdowns, you know what I'm saying,
(22:22):
Like the Russian leader for a football team, and you
know in franchise, you know.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
History, that's that's wild. You know. Should Josh Allen be
an early MVV payered after this? You think? I think so?
For sure?
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Like this, he him the way that he does, the
way he does it, the way that he goes out
there and consistently uses his legs if he gotta use
his legs. He threw the ball forty six times for
almost four hundred yards, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
So whatever they.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
Need him to do, he gets it done, and it's
going against the Baltimore Ravens. They put up forty points
and they put up forty one. So I mean, like
these numbers, the stats, what he's been doing. I mean,
he needs to be in one of the top for
MVP contention right now.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
Yeah, yeah, I would say that, but again, you know,
it's week one. Let's let's le let's not jump the gun.
I mean raining MVP. You know, we'll get past that.
Although I think Lamars should have had it last year,
but I was a lot.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
I think Lamars should have had it last year for sure.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Yeah, but you know, you got to look at you
got to look at uh, you know, other games.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
You gotta look at other quarterbacks. I like Aaron.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
You know that that was one hundred and thirty sixth
raging or something like that, Like like, like, come on,
I know he did something, he came back, he did
all that, you know, but you know Aaron did it.
You know he was getting pressured. You know, he didn't
he didn't have a run game with him. You know,
I like, I like Aaron. I'm just I mean it's
probably because I'm.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Not I'm not.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
I love Aaron studies. You know, what I'm saying to
multiple different receivers. And it's not like in DK Metcalf
didn't have the craziest game, right, he spreaded around. We
didn't brush for too many y'alls. So if it was
for him, you know what I'm saying, the Stillers would
have been a completely.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Different situation for sure.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
For sure, especially with defense struggling and you know everything else.
Yeah that, Uh, like I said, I'm I'm going towards
you know, I'm going I'm going.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Towards the black and yellow, because you know, we.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
You get real French man, I get real, you know
what I'm saying, I get real French. I started doing
things like talking with my hands. I don't know why,
because I'm not really that kind of person, you know
what I'm saying, But you know, do that real. And
then you know, they let Josh Auld do that. And
then the Bills fans they got crazy with it too.
(24:37):
They start they started putting their hands on people. Man,
Like somebody somebody threw a drink of Derrick Henry during
his touchdown run and I believe Lamar Lamar and.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
He got shoved in the head. Dude, do it in
his helmet, bro Like what are you doing in that situation?
Speaker 3 (25:00):
You know, I'm gonna try to stay away from the crowd.
But at the end of the day, he was hot.
He seeing his man him get slapped beside the head.
I saw him jump in there. Give him a little
little chofue. Hit him in the head too, though, Did
he got in the head too? Only in the head?
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yes, that he pushed, he pushed, He pushed. Dude didn't
do nothing the first the first, the first person who
pushed in the head, dude didn't do nothing. Then he
went the same cat pushed Lamar, and Lamar pushed him back,
like what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Like like what they do to these fans.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Man, it's not okay to keep putting your hands on people,
you know, but you know they need to I don't
know that Lamar did with.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Listen, listen, if it's me, if I'm the commissioner, you
need to lock him up. Do you realize that in
some states, assault is simply me saying I'm gonna kick
your hass I just made you fearful.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
That's a sawt.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Now, battery in some states is just unwanted touching. That's
worse at at best case, like it's battery. Worst case
it's a salt and battery. What are we talking about,
y'all talk about protecting the players. The NFL should talk
about protecting the players. That dude should have charges put
(26:17):
on him and he should be sitting in jail ready
to go to court. Protect the players and everything, not
just where it's head trauma and everything else. That y'all
really worried about your wallet and not the player in
every situation.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
You you are not lying.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
If they will be getting charge with as sawt and battery,
I promise you they will not put hands on any players.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I think that would be for sure, right saw.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Like I said, saw is just unwanted touching and some
you don't put your hands on people.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
People won't put their hands on you, and you nobody
touched nobody touching.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
You keep it handsier yourself. You treat people the way
you want to be treated. You know what I'm saying,
Just the simple things. That's what we did into the basics.
Let me pose a question. Let me pose a question.
Let me you don't even know what I'm talking about,
AII say, you.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Gotta look up the h you gotta I'll send you.
I'll send you to the shot, the shot that yeah,
I'll send it to you. Let's go on over here,
man and see what your.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Uh, your brownies did with the Bengals. So the Bengals
beat the Browns seventeen to sixteen.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Man, Dang.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
The Browns out ganged the Bengals three twenty seven to
one fourteen and had the ball on nearly thirty six minutes. Dude,
but it wasn't enough, brother, What uh? What went good?
What went wrong? What do you think the Browns could
have did better to come out and edge that game off?
Speaker 3 (27:54):
So the Browns defense shout out to the defense, I
was gonna lie. The first drive, Chase Brown just drove
the ball all straight down the field. He was everything
to score. They tightened up. Miles Garrett did amazing, had sacks.
It's just we need the end of the day. We
jamar Chase Higgins, they have Joe Burrow, they have an
explosive offense. We kept them the seventeen points. We got
(28:16):
to figure out a way to score a little bit
more points. I think Jerry Judy he ended up. He
dropped some passes and in some particular spots. We just
got to be able to get points on the board
man be able to make consistent first downs, keep drives going,
and put points on the board. I think that was
just the biggest thing our defense did well. Our offense
just can never We can't really establish our identity. We
(28:38):
don't know what our identity is. So I think that's
that's the main thing.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
For the Browns.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
But I'm really excited for the defense, but the offense still,
how do you think?
Speaker 2 (28:47):
How you think Flacco play man?
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Sure he didn't do he didn't do he didn't do awful,
He didn't do awful. He put I don't think that.
I don't think some of our receivers helped him out,
you know, And I don't think our run game obviously
them out either. You know, he's not going to be
a guy. He threw the ball forty five times, you
know what I'm saying. That's a that's a lot of.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Those for Joe.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
I think we need to have more of a run
game to be able to lean on the for him,
like him stepping back throwing the forty five times is
not a winning process for the Browns to win a
lot of games.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
I don't think I think we need to be Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
Didn't think I didn't think Cincinnati had that uh, that
that good of a defense, and especially along with how
you know the Browns had been doing in previous years
running the ball. I thought it would be one of
those situations where they could possibly, you know, squeeze it
out at the end. But like you said, to see Joe,
and they're doing you know, forty five you know passes.
(29:38):
That's uh, that's not something that I that I expected,
you know, forty.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
Five passes and we throw one, one tighty and two picks.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
We can't be having the turnovers. That's the part.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Now, Hey, one of them picks ain't his fault. One
of them picks ain't his fault. He came about his hand.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
That's the Jerry Judy. That's the Jerry j.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
That's when I said that her Judy drop. But that's
where I'm talking about the turnovers. We just can't be
giving the ball up. We got to make sure we
got to be at least get three, at least get
three the ends.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
Drives when we need to be able to get some points.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
So I mean, I think just we got to catch
the ball and hopefully we got to run the ball
better and not have mister Joe Flacco dropping back forty
five times, because that is not what I think is
our formula to win games.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Okay, yeah, for sure, sure, let's get on over here
to the Packers.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Man.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
The Packers beat the Lions twenty seven to thirteen. Jordan
Love threw a pair of touchdown passes and Parsons had
a sack in Green Bays debut. What what did you
think of that game?
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Man? The sole did you expect it? Did you? Did
you think that the Packers would win? I thought it
was going to be a lot closer than this.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
I thought the Lions and the Packers were more like
on the same level to see who's going to be
on the top of the division. But at the end
of the day, the Packers, like I said, I mean,
Jordan Loved balled out and Michael Parsons he didn't play
as many snaps, but like I said, his effort to
the ball, his you know what I'm saying. He got
him a sack and like he was chasing when he
was chasing the quarterback, he looked like he didn't have
(31:12):
a chance.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
His effort, his energy.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
I loved him being around the team and he brought
he brought some juice I'm going to take back what
I said to him.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
He looks very happy.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
I think it might be a good thing for everybody
to be in the facility on Tuesdays in Wisconsin.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
That's not a bad thing, you know what I'm saying.
Everybody good thing.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
It's a good thing anywhere do on Tuesdays because you know,
everybody is dedicated to.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
That same thousand percent.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Everything else is coming before the season. It's the season
when they had to think off, where would we rather be.
But to study the tape, to study the film, to
get right, you're going to get the extra lift.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
That's the extra that's that. I think it's gonna be
the difference. I think.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
I think Jordan, I'm with you. I think I think
he played I think he played excellent. And you know again,
you know, I go, I go back to the same thing.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
You know it was.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
It was a little opportunity there where they had a
ball in their hand and they could have could have
got it going the other way. You know, I'm just
I'm just looking for something that will give me an
as that's all it is.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
Looking for anything. As a fan.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
When you're watching these games and you start to see it,
you like you know when you're playing it like this
stuff happens. You know what I'm saying, like, oh no, something,
he just he just stripped them. But you like when
you're watching, you.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Like, yeah, I think the big thing for Detroit was
sorry for green Bay, was they gave Jordans the time
that he needed.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
To do what he needed to do. They blocked him.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Well, I was thinking that, you know, Detroit would be
able to get you know, more pressure than they did,
would you know, would be able to to stop you know, what.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Was going on. The Other thing is that.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Both sides of Detroit's offensive and defensive coordinators like they changed.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
You. Yeah, it's new guys in there.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
And as much as people don't want to say, you know,
we're still got the same system, nothing to change, Well
you got a different play caller.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Man that changes a lot. You know.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Sitting in there with Dick Lebow, as long as I
had him, you know, it was a blessing. Dick Lebow
would sit on the sideline and he didn't even have
a chart.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
He'd sit there and he'd be like.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Blah blah blah blah, and he called a defense from
his head by looking at the personnel. So when you're
a you know, when you're a coordinator, you want to
be a great coordinator, great offensive defense, especially a defensive coordinator.
You're you're you're playing a game of chess with the
offense coordinator. Yes, you know, it's it's it's times. Well,
all of coach Lebol's defenses, every every defense has one weakness.
(33:38):
When you start trying to cover more than one weakness,
you make holes in it. And he would tell us, Okay, listen,
we're gonna run this. If this happens, that's on me,
because that's on the defense. He's out there, he's playing
chess and he's trying to make better moves than his
offensive coordinator opponent. That was me And I think when
(34:02):
Detroit lost those two coordinators to head jobs, when they
hired the other two dudes so they could, you know,
keep the same system, and that's a good thing to do.
They were thinking that the turnaround of you know, playing
out the offense playing out the defense would be the same.
And it's not the same because now you have to
(34:25):
let that new coordinator get into a groove, get a
feel of the game, just as we as players get
a feel of the game. When you have a offensive
or defense coordinator that gets a feel of the game.
He can make better calls that are dictated to make
better plays against certain formations and you know everything else.
That way, it gives you a better opportunity to have,
(34:47):
you know, better play. That was what I say, Like,
I'm with you. I still believe that, you know, Green
Bay was going to win the game, but I didn't
believe that it would get you know, like that as
sideways as it it ended up getting, which really the
score doesn't justify how, you know, how outsideways.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
It was like they couldn't even run the ball.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
That's unheard of for Detroit, you know, and in the
last previous so many seasons, and.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Actually have we talked about their running backs?
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Man, yes, you got, you got, you got a two
headed monster over there, and they came out there and
just just shut it down. I believe what even with
the what's his name, the faster guy not not Montgomery, Yeah, Gibbs,
(35:39):
Like I think Gibbs caught like ten passes for sixty
something forty something yards or something like that's unheard.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
That man had thirty one thirty one yards on ten catches.
Thirty one. I lied he had thirty one yards.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Thirty on ten catches. Yeah, like that's that's just unheard of.
I think you know, Green Bay came out there ready
to get a job done, and they got.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
It done it.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
I think you made a good point too about the
coordinator's changing.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
My boy.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Aaron Glenn the coach, the head coach of the Jests.
He was my dB coach in Cleveland when I first
got there. One of the best dB coaches I ever heard,
was really on me about technique, tackling. You know what
I'm saying, being in the right position. Very very coached me,
very very hard, and that's what I needed, and that's
what I like, and that's what made me, kept me
accountable for everything. Because he played in the league too.
(36:27):
Aaron Glenn had forty one picks while he played in
the league. I have nothing but respect for a man
that played and is literally just giving me genuine gyms.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Wants me to be good.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
So that that coordinator switching and not getting that from AG,
that that energy, that juice.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
It could be different from Detroit.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
You know what I'm saying, It's another man trying to
give you the same calls as AG, but just don't
know what's going on.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
You gotta have that feel that that feel for the game.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Right you said chess, You setting them up for Oh no,
we're gonna do this, do this, do this, and then
we're gonna run it with this little blitz.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
So just knowing you trying to put the offensive coordinator
different position, you never know what this decordinate is doing.
Hopefully you call it you cheating the same defense, but
you don't have the same play calling vibe.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Yeah, yeah, for sure you got You gotta have a
feel for that game. And then also it's not just
the feel fork you gotta have a feel for it
depending on the players you're going against. What is that
offensive strengths? What is their weaknesses? What is the likelihood
of you know, so on and so forth. But you know,
after seeing this, do you think you think the pay
the who Packers Chiefs again?
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Thief again? You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (37:30):
You think the Packers are anything around? Pressing against my mouth, dude,
a pop off it?
Speaker 2 (37:37):
Who you think the Packers are the favorite in the
NFC North? I do? I do?
Speaker 3 (37:42):
Especially they didn't they never, they haven't tooken anything away.
Jordan Love is starting to play better ball, and Michael
Parson is there on the defensive.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Side, and yeah, they look they look ready, man.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
So I mean, especially after beating the Lions like this,
I don't know if it was better Packers bad Lions,
but I'm gonna go with better Packers because I don't think.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Jordan Love is getting any worse.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
And Michael Parsons on the team coming through, bringing the
juice and energy and speaking so highly about dudes, I ain't.
I'm switching my whole vibe about dudes being the facilities
now too, because the more I think about it, you
have a football season one year.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
You got to be there every day. That's your vibe.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
Mondays or Monday, Good Mondays, Tuesday, we're going to get
the preparation to get a jump on the next week.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
So I mean, I loving everybody being in there.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
So I think you know what I didn't like right
in season is the off season and guys would go
on vacation and to go do whatever, like actually away
from anything, not.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Doing I didn't. I didn't.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
I didn't like that, like that's time that you could
be using to try and get better. That's that's just
the way I felt about it. You know, once the
season started, I'm a person that I wasn't going anywhere
until it was done. And you know that's what it was.
If you had you know what I'm saying, and every day.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
What would you do? The bo would you get? You
you don't, you don't get It depends, it depends. As
soon as the off season was out.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
If everything was good and we did well, I'm going
straight to training.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
If everything my body is a little a little weak.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
Then you know, I'll take maybe a few few weeks off,
maybe three, four or six weeks off, whatever it may be,
I'll get the training. If we did terrible, I'm leaving
as soon as the season over with, and I'm going
I'm going to train. I'm getting on the first flight
smoking that evening, you know what I'm saying, Like, I'm
going to I'm going to I'm going to my trainer
(39:34):
and we hitting the ground running.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
So I was a person that found out.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Quickly that it's easier to stay in shape if you
never get out of shape, especially as you get older.
You know, when you're younger, you can you can go
in there and say, okay, yeah, I can take a
couple of weeks or you know, and come back, and
the older you get, the less time you could take off,
the more things you got to do to recover, or
(40:00):
that you're able to go out there and perform.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
I wish you. Yeah, I don't think it's no real
for real. I wouldn't think it was a real like
a take off if you were ever to go on vacation.
I mean, as soon as you get done, you need
to be still getting it in, have your trainers, whatever
you do kind of be set up. I feel like,
and I don't think once I first got out of
it up, once I first got out, like once I
started getting older, I would probably need it just a
(40:22):
good two three weeks.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
And I'm saying we're doing those two three weeks.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
We're still working out, but we're not doing no like cleats,
football stuff, like right back to it. I think there's
different the off season training sessions. You know what I'm saying,
But there's no point that you're not doing anything.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
You should always be.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
Working on something, getting your body right, still lifting, still
doing certain things, but there's different joints, so that.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
Not right after the season right back to cleats.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
The point is Joe saying, get your ass in there
on Tuesday and get some work done. Yes, some make
yourself better, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, Yeah, we
can't have what we had last week on or or
on Sunday or Monday, whatever it may be. We got
to get in here and get better. So Detroit like
(41:07):
they need to get better on the offensive side, Like,
are you concerned with Detroit's offensive performance?
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Do you think it is?
Speaker 1 (41:15):
It is calls to uh start maybe doing some furniture moving.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
Now it's super early in the season. They still got
them guys. Man, I know that they're gonna go in there.
It's depended on the coaching. They got to go give hard,
real talk. When these meeting rooms come and they starting
to watch who's missing their blocks? Why is it? Why
is it looking like this? Because the talent isn't gone.
We still have the same roster. We still got these
same players. So we got to make sure like this,
the hard earned facts. Who's not balling? Why are you
(41:41):
not balling? This isn't up to this isn't up to par.
So they got to really get into some meeting rooms
and figure it out. Because I don't think that the
players hasn't changed as much.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
They still have the.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
Same running back tandem back, there a lot of the
same line and so I think it's just being able
to look in the mirror and figure out this, this
ain't gonna work for us. So they just got they
got to get better, but they got to get better fast.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Yeah, speaking of you know, poorer performances on offense, the
Coats beat the Dolphins thirty three Day two. A completed
fourteen to twenty three passes for one to fourteen and
a touchdown, but he threw two interceptions, lost the fumble,
lost the fumble for a second turnover, multiple turnover game
in the past three starts.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Was this performance?
Speaker 1 (42:26):
Was this a bad performance or just a sign of tour?
Speaker 2 (42:30):
What do you think? Man?
Speaker 3 (42:33):
I the bad performance for sure. I mean when you
when you throw two picks and lose a fumble, that's
not that's not a good that's not a good game.
But at the same time, I'm not going to put
it all on tour because at the same time, the
Colts did not not score. So the Dolphins defense did
terrible out there in insistent TUIs did not play well
(42:54):
in any shape of the imagination, but their whole team
dropped the ball in this game, Dolphins defense terrible.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
To it looked terrible.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Tyrek was visibly pissed on the sideline obviously, because I mean,
this isn't what he wants to do out there.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
So I mean they just.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
Need to do a whole little reevaluation of what they
got going on.
Speaker 2 (43:12):
Because you think they should go ahead and break up
tour in Tyrek, Oh for sure. Yeah, that's been so,
been done, been done.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
Tyreek is after he told them that he didn't want
to be out there, and Tua came back like, man,
you need to be doing your thing and instantly first game,
soon as things go bad, to it has one of
these games you think Tyreek is not you think's gonna be.
They's gonna get a better friendship once they start playing
bad and he's already pissed.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
Listen, when it go bad, you gotta pull in. You
gotta get tighter, You gotta go closer. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
That's that's like to get closer to it bad in life.
You don't pull away from You don't pull away from God.
You pull it closer, You get into your word more
where you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
You gotta pull it closer. This is not this there.
This is not the word. This is the word.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
It's not the word. This is Tyreek a tour and
I'm not I'm not listen.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
You also got to look at the fact that the
Coats brought they scored on every possession, like dude was
dropping dimes over there, like that's the first time what
in I don't know how long it is that you
had a team score on every possession, Like they went
out there and they did something that that hadn't been
done in a long long time, like this.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Team time was done nineteen seventy seven.
Speaker 1 (44:27):
Yeah, okay, And then what uh Jones, Dude, he does
this his first time back with his first time making
his debut with with uh with the Giants. He went
out there and did exactly what he did here, like
the only other time it was done or the last
time it was done before, this was him doing it
(44:50):
with the.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
With the Giants.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
So Danny Dimes, Yes, Danny Dimes, that's what they calling him,
Danny Dimes. I'm trying to figure out who Danny Dimes was.
And then I go and look and I'm like him, Oh, okay,
changed when he doing that? You can you can you
can change the name of the Dimes.
Speaker 3 (45:06):
That's what I'm saying. It is actually ball man. It's
no problem with that. They whooked. He had that, That's
what I'm saying. The first scored on every single possession. Yes,
they did not not score. So Danny dins Man deserves
all love. If I was the Dolphins, I would be
pissed too, because you got scored on every time and
(45:28):
you only score eight points.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
So it's not a good day in Miami. Not a
good day. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Speaking of his old team, the Giants, the Commanders beat
the Giants twenty one to six. So New York offense
did not look competitive with Rush Wilson running it. Rush
was pressured on sixteen or forty five drop backs thirty
six percent, and handed the pressure poorly. He was two
of twelve for twenty six yards and was sat twice
(45:56):
when pressured. New York managed just two hundred thirty four
yards of total offense. Brother, they averaged three point two
yards of rush and stumbled twice in the red zone.
You think they should give a dark opportunity give him
a look.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
I said it earlier. We're gonna give that. That was
that was bad. So I said we was gonna get
the warning shot.
Speaker 3 (46:19):
We said he was gonna give him three games, and
I love Russ, that's my good man.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
But it wasn't looking too good. Uh day boy.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
I know he's not trying to pull a plug already.
He wants to give him a couple of more couple
of more chances. But I think if it looks like
this again week two, I don't see why not. You know,
you kind of know what you got, but you don't
want to throw your man out there and then Dark
be out there getting himmed up. You don't want to
just throw him out there and make sure your other
talent is abstutely performing. So if neighbors, I think we
got to get him going, just start throwing him the ball.
(46:47):
So if think Russell can get his relationship with neighbors going,
get some points on the board, it may not get
him kicked out. But if he looks like this again
week three, Dark is probably gonna be out there.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
If you got your quarterback getting pressure, you know, I
don't I don't know if I want to just throw
him out there and put him in the same situation.
You know, unless he has a higher understanding and and
and IQ of where to go with the ball and
he can get it out faster.
Speaker 2 (47:16):
That's something that, yeah, you can look at and do.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
But putting him him there with a learning curve of
not having a run game or you know, an offensive
line that's going to be able to protect him consistently,
I don't.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
I don't know if that's the thing to do either.
So they might just be throwing them out the drive
they do that game, and I don't. I mean, they
kind of did that with your guy, right, that's over
and that the coach right.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
Now, right, Yeah, But that's what I'm That's what I'm saying.
Is it is it the talent around whoever is the
quarterback or is it the quarterback? Because we got Danny
Dimes looking like amazing over there, and then we got
Russell Wilson coming to the spot. I'm like, so you
never really know. People didn't think that. Definitely didn't think
this highly of Daniel Dimes when he was.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
In New York.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Yeah, I'm thinking he got to be able to do
better than two or twelve.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
You know, with pressure.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
I mean, that's what seven six percent completion something like that.
It can't It got like he got to do better.
But at the same time, like you don't.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
You don't want to. You don't want to put him out.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
There if you don't have to at some point, if
it keeps going like this, they're going to have to
because you didn't draft him.
Speaker 2 (48:31):
Just the sitting there.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
Yeah, I will hold Russell Wilson just I will hope
that they can block it up for him.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
Like you said, too, had a lot of pressure coming.
Speaker 3 (48:39):
So but then you got to be able to know
where to go with the ball quick and that's pretty
what He's normally, pretty good at making quick decisions. So
if you got the pressure coming, hot routes, you know
what I'm saying, Like you said, now balls, being able
to just get it out of.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Your hands, for sure, you got to be able to
get that thing out of your hands. But like I said,
you got Aaron over there. Again, the protection is not great,
but Aaron has a great understanding where the ball needs
to go. Is a great understanding reading the defense alternative,
you know, shutdown run game because we aren't running the
ball effectively. Things like that a good quarterback can can effectively,
(49:15):
you know, equal out a lot of a lot of
bad things or things that are up to par. Yeah,
so the Bucks ooh, the Bucks beat the Falcons twenty
three to twenty in dramatic fashion.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
That's my guy. What's his name, Mom, It's Baker Mayfield.
Mayfield Yeah, yeah, yeah, always rooting for Baker.
Speaker 4 (49:44):
Man.
Speaker 2 (49:44):
Oh yeah, yeah. He threw. Uh, he threw.
Speaker 1 (49:47):
He threw a passing there that was like on a rope, dude,
Like I was like that. I was surprised. Ain't gonna
lie like, I mean, not really surprised. I was impressed.
I should say I just pressed. Yeah, I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
Man.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
Baker was never Baker always was just solid, solid, competent quarterback.
I wish back in the day, if the Brown they
had Baker, we could have kept them. Signing up for
a nice little deal, would have kind of kept the
quarterback position there.
Speaker 4 (50:11):
Good.
Speaker 2 (50:11):
But that's neither here nor there. That's neither here nor there.
Speaker 1 (50:14):
Yeah, Baker completed seventeen or thirty two passes, dude, for
one sixty seven three touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
Dude. Yeah, he's slaying that thing a little. The rookie
caught two touchdown passes, including to go ahead twenty five
yard with fifty nine seconds left remaining. That's wild.
Speaker 3 (50:33):
The man Baker has the clutch gen bro solid, solid,
solid quarterback. He's been doing a nine ten be for
a minute.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Him.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
Mike Evans just always root for Baker Man. He's always
just been solid, just hard worker, you know what I'm saying,
and getting it done.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
We go over here to the Broncos. The Broncos spoiled
cam Ward's debut. Man twenty to twelve went over the Titans.
What uh I feel?
Speaker 2 (51:02):
Number one draft choice right, that's camp Yes, yes, that's
Pam Ward, number one pick man.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
And I saw that he did not do bad a lot,
like a couple of his receivers dropped a lot of
passes on it. He was putting it in a great spots,
you know what I'm saying, Like, I think Calvin really
dropped the couple dropped one. I saw like a three
passes in the fourth quarter dropped by his receiver.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
So he's a rookie quarterback out there trying to get
it done.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
I think that there's certain situations where they could have
helped him out and made it not like it, made
it made it closer, made the drive. He could have
had a game win the drive if they would have
cast some of those balls so he didn't look bad.
I think he's on his way and that I just
need them the same thing with these young quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
Keep him up right, keep him protected.
Speaker 3 (51:44):
Don't let this break his confidence, because you know you're
out there on there just expecting yourself to do so well.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
But it's going to be a learning curve. You're going
to have a learning curve.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
You're not just going to come in here and be
instantly get everything off the rip. I just want him
to just stay stay focused. They motivated, and know what
I'm saying, hopefully a teammate, they're going to start catching
some of these passes.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
But you looked, You look solid, my brother. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
So the Rams beat to Texas fourteen and nine, Matthew
Stafford passed with two forty five in a touchdown while
becoming the tenth quarterback in the NFL history with sixty
thousand yards in the air. Doesn't Stafford have the back
issue going on?
Speaker 3 (52:24):
I think he does, think a little strained, A little strained. Well,
you know, like I said too, he's been in the
league long time. Og that taking care of his body.
You know, as long as they could like protecting another line,
everybody's gonna be able to get it out of there.
He's been spending it for a long time and it's
just his his accuracy. Twenty one twenty nine, not too
many incompletions.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
Love Matthew Stafford for show for show we go going
over here to the forty nine er Seahawks third string
tight end. Late touchdown gives the forty nine Ers the
seventeen thirteen win over Seattle.
Speaker 2 (52:59):
Man.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
Oh wow, Oh, kittles got hurt in that game, buddy, Yeah,
he went out.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
What quarter the Kittles go out?
Speaker 1 (53:07):
Was his second or third quarter he went out? I
think it was so Uh what's his name? The quarterback?
I'm horrible with names. Dude, little dude, uh my man,
party party? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
I didn't think uh.
Speaker 1 (53:31):
I didn't think he did as well as what he
didn't do as well as he was doing, you know previously,
with you know, all the weapons that he had. So
I think they're going to have some some well I
won't I wouldn't say trouble, but they're gonna have some
some difficulty in getting uh getting through their schedule.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Maybe is there is a how how is a how's
it running?
Speaker 4 (53:59):
Bout?
Speaker 2 (53:59):
Has McCaffrey after.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
His back, He's healthy yeah, Yeah, Yeah, he played, Yeah,
he played.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
He played the game everything. I mean, I think I
don't think.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
I don't think it was that effective. I don't know
how many cars they actually ended up giving him. But
you know that's neither here nor there. The Cardinals beat
the Saints twenty to thirteen. Kylin Murray kind of did
his thing. He passed one sixty three. He hit Marvin
Harrison Junior five times, with seventy one yards in the touchdown.
Murray also rushed for thirty eight yards.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
So I like merasson Harrison Junior getting back into the zone.
I say he gained a lot of weight this offseason too,
just getting bigger or stronger, trying to be ready to
take on some contact.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
I think that should be solid.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
Colley, he getting in trouble, throw the thing up to
Mars's and Harrison Junior. I think that'd be that, that'd
be his success plan.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
Yeah. I mean, it's it's better than other than not
having Oh man, what about my man Travis Hunter?
Speaker 1 (55:05):
Where Travis do, babe? I seen I've seen a couple
a couple of players of it. I was watching I
was watching Red Zone going back and forth. I was
I was an overload on it.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (55:14):
I'm trying to figure out though with him playing with
Jacks beat them.
Speaker 1 (55:18):
Jacks beat the Panthers twenty to twenty six to ten.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (55:24):
Travis Hunter played thirty nine snaps, caught six passes for
thirty three yards. He played just six snaps on defense. Though, Yeah,
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
I didn't get that if you you hadn't played forty
four snaps. I mean, maybe it's just the first game
of the season, but I mean he.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
Got to play.
Speaker 3 (55:42):
He gots to hopefully, I think they might just be
warming them up to it, but.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
You gotta play more snaps. They got to be on it.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
It was the first game of the season. Like I said,
you gotta give them. You gotta give him a chance.
And that's something else. You know, you got some guys
going out with injuries and all that. You got guys
that you know, they haven't really played snaps like that,
and now you're telling them to go out here and
get me. I mean, you know, fifty sixty plays, one
hundred miles an hour, you're losing. You know, you're losing water.
You got your more you know, risks for muscle strains
(56:09):
and all that other stuff. That's that's one of the
things while you see a lot of these guys, you know,
going out early with these soft tissue injuries. You know,
it's a different thing of impact. You can't you can't
stop that, and but the soft tissue injuries that that
could be, you know, that could be slowed up by
just being you know, in better shape, practicing the way
that you're you're going to play and making sure it
(56:30):
takes Yeah, you're right, making sure you take care of
your body. You know, it's very very few people that
go game speed now in practice, especially with how they
got the rule set. But the Raiders beat the Patriots
twenty to thirteen. You know, Smith passed for three sixty
two and a touchdown. As you do, he did his thing.
Man rock Bowers had five catches for one hundred and
(56:52):
three before leaving the game with a knee injury.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
Though, Yeah, Myers added eight catches for ninety seven majors.
Speaker 3 (57:02):
Shout out Geno smith Man, he's been doing it for
a minute. He gonna make sure Bombing who's the receiver
number one for the Vegas Raiders because he was going
up top pork chop the whole game. I know, you
get along with man with names sometimes. But my boy
in Vegas Raiders receiver, I said that.
Speaker 2 (57:20):
Might be to do what I'm talking about. Who's number one?
What's number one's name? Let me check it.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Out, Trey Tucker. That's not there. There it is there,
it is. I like him a lot. He was balling.
Oh very so peep gang this here we're coming, we're
coming up. We're about to be out of time. But
look here, this is this is what's gonna happen. This
