Speaker 2 (00:21):
Great game of football? Oh oh extremely extremely great game
of football. Your type of ball, oh my type of ball?
All day in America, Baby. The Texans beat their Bills
twenty three to nineteen.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Man, we got to go through this.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
One right here, man, because I just I just didn't
see what happened happening you feel me right there, baby
either des I just didn't get out there, buddy, And
I gotta break this down for you, because this.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Is plays that was just going and going.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Houston, get out there. The first play they gone ahead,
do a pass. You know what I'm saying. They I
think it was Stover. He drops the pass. The next
play they give it to Marks, he gets seven. And
then on third down they proceed to go empty and
throw the ball for what I what for what? I
don't get it. I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
They don't get it either. Damn.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Hunting early early, three and out on the first one,
Buffalo get out there, man, and they do with Buffalo
has been known for doing.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
They had, They gonna heading that ball to cooks. Cooks,
get that folk what they say. That's a successful that
successful thing. You're supposed to get forty percent on the
first and then you get sixty percent on the second.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Stay ahead of the sticks.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Staying ahead of the sticks, man, Alan, he gone ahead
on the second down.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
He get pressured though.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
You know, he gone ahead, get it to the tight end,
and he knocked that thing. It looked like he had
stepped out of bounds. To me, even if he had
called it, I don't think it would have counted.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Third down.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I think they get what was it, five of the
six yards they needed. They took away what was supposed
to be a legal man downfield. Are you allowed to
do that, like go down and then come back like
that must be a thing.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Long as he don't release the ball before, you.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Know, Yeah, as long as he'll let the ball go.
So obviously, fourth and one they do what they do.
Quarterback gone ahead, Alan, big body, jump over.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
The top, dude.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
He jumped over and got almost three yards that was crazy. Yes,
that was crazy. I like that.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
That was crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
The first down they stopped Cooks though they stuffed him up.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
He ain't get nothing. And then I think that was
the second down.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
What Cooks. It was looked like it should have been
what like a like a two yard two yard loss
something like that. And then they went on ahead and
blitzed Alan and he reached that things out Frozens right
into the blitz with the swing pass to Johnson. They
(02:56):
gone ahead, get thirteen for the first time. Like the
next one, the boy knocks just stiff arm. What's what's
zero's number?
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Man?
Speaker 2 (03:06):
He just stiffed armed him ground. That was a linebacker,
wasn't it. Yes, it was nine yards.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Bro just stiffed arm him something stupid. Mm hm. Third
and one.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
They get to that third and one that man Cooks
do they had like nine people within five yards of
the line dude.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
I think.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I think the other two might have been within another
five yards.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
He broke through that thing, dude.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
And next thing, you know, house called thirty five yards
house call.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
I was like, Oh, this is supposed to be the number.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
One defense they had, Like you said, they got stiff arm.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
That was what that was probably their worst drive. Oh no,
far no, they was. They had to tighten up. Kicker
helped him though.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
He went on ahead and missed that extra point, you
know what I'm saying. And then here they get a
good return on the kickoff. I think they ended up
starting at like the forty one. First played, Chubb went
for about seven. Second one, I think he went for
about five, and then finally Mills connects for a nice
(04:16):
ten yard that he just threaded that in there, like
I thought he was going to the one, dude, and
he threaded it to the Higgins on the back.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yeah, that was a good ball, bro that Yeah, I
ain't gonna lie that was That was That was good.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
And then the next play he just misses the dude,
Like how you just totally missed that one. But second
down he comes Mark Marx did his thing.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Now, Mark, he was total the ball too, and he
went he went. He went twelve on that one.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Immediately another first down later, I think he went for
like nineteen.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Then again two explosive runs.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Dude, that DV didn't want none of seventy seven pulling
up out of there though, Like that's when you're allowed
to cut.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
This is decision. Cut, can't cut.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Then get down there. It's first and goal, dude, I
think it was on the six. They run it on
the first down and then your boy meals proceeds to
miss on the second down Like that that that was
something they could have They could have got a little closer.
And then on the third down he makes a great
throw but the receiver can't hold on.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
To It's worry my man Kirk was worried about getting
the feed in instead of you gotta grab you catch
the ball first, and then you're gonna drag your feet,
gonna just dead that second leg.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
You put the first one in. Catch the ball, you.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Know, yes, dude, Now you gotta settle for three. It's
three to six and then Buffalo like they start What
was it like at their twelve because they got a
holding penalty.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
On the kickoff return?
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Mm hm and uh again they staying ahead of the
sticks the first down, I think Cook's got well maybe
maybe five, but if he got a trip, bro, it
was gonna be six.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
That might have been another one they was they were
sitting there on.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Then that second down, I think it was what the
dude's name, sekire Yes Shakeir dude, he lost.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
He lost too, like them boys were flying to That's
what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
After that first drive, they was making a lot of plays,
you know what I'm saying. Houston's defense that second that
the d line attacking in the secondary, catching tackles.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Yeah, and third down, Alan well it would have been
a sack if he hadn't pushed him forward.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
But he he hits him. Dude.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
And I see Alan doing to kick fumble everything on
the ground.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
I'm thinking he might be up out of the game. Bro. Yeah,
I didn't know what it was, his risk something he got.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, yeah, he pops up though they end up they
ended up having to punt. They give it back to
Houston Chubb. I think he ge ends up getting the ball.
On the first down, he didn't get too much. But
again on the second down, dude, Meil was like, he's
missing wide open receivers.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Dude, they had he left a lot of points on
the field that touched it. Well, the touchdown wasn't his fault,
but then this one on the third and on the
third down on the third and six, he's wide open.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
He's wide open. You just got to get get him,
get get to get that ball, get that ball in
his hands.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, that third down is what you're talking about with
the receiver couldn't get his feet down, Yes, dude, he
just couldn't. Like you gotta you gotta make that a
little easier for him. Dude, Yes, he's wide open. So
they punted the ball. But ay, man, they punted the
ball and the punter man, he dropped that thing like
like Tiger Woods used to. Man, I don't know how
he got that ball to turn like it did. M hm, bro,
(07:36):
they dropped, they drop it down. I think it was
what inside the inside the five were at the five.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Man buffalo get the ball. And I think it was
Allen on that second down hit Davis for like twenty two.
Next Cooks went on head, stayed ahead of the sticks.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
He was Cooks, are ask some yards too, dude? No, yeah,
for sure, yeah he did. He did that they they
were they were doing. He was running the ball really well.
Oh yeah, for sure. And then second down Allen brought
it out for the tight end for eight.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
And then I think.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
It was Cooks again like vision crazy like cut it
all the way back against the grand He got he
got thirteen on that one, and they ended up getting
them down to like a fourth and one or two
something like that. Yep, and Alan hits Johnson for twenty
three twenty three, boy h first down though they went off, dude,
(08:39):
who was the d N ninety eight though the d
tackle bro he smacked, He smacked old boy got through there,
smacked old boy.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
It was. It was with a loss of two on
that one on first down, dude.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
The next play go that man Andrews Anderson.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
They lose ten on that one.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
They was able to go ahead on third down, forced
him into a you know, a bad play. They was
able to hold him to a field goal. So now
it's six to no, sorry it's three. It's three to nine,
nine to three, yeah, yeah, and then Mills comes out
on the first down and finally connects on their to
(09:19):
I think it was Collins for Yeah, it was Collins twenty.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Four, twenty five, something like that.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Brother and do he was finishing on them runs, so
he was trying to destroy them.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
DB's dude, No, he was, dude, he was trying to
destroy them.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
DB's next play meals goals and scrambles for I think
it was only like four or five, but they give
face mask face mask add another what was it fifteen
on top of it, and then they go and do
a receiver like reverse around. He went to go get it,
du listen, he got fired on though he did he got.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Hey, he did get fired on. Hey, he did get
fired on. I take sweet fed on Jesse right there.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Houston's out there. But this is what I love. Houston's
out there smacking. They're trying to find everybody. They're hunting,
you know what I'm saying. They said they was out
there hunting, and they looked like it, dude, that's number
one number that dude.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
They they big game hunting, the big game hunt. Look
number one, number two offense in the league, a big
game hunting. And then immediately on the second down, your
boy he throws it short like I'm like, yo, it's
no way he can, like disc get seriously uncomfortable because
you gonna at a defense like out there.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
All day every day with what he's doing over here.
They already play. They get to that fourth and one
and that boy marks takes limits dude and makes lemon
they dude.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Dropping it on them, bro dragging old boy like dragging
what what he ended up picking up like six, which
should have been a loss of at least one or two.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
That's the dude.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
The next play meals again short like hit the defender
in this back dude, ha turned around, he had one mmh.
All he had to do is look he.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Was but look, well, you know when you're not.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
He not in a position yet, so he would still
felt like he was in trail because if you would
have threw a good ball, it would have been a
tough so was playing.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
That's why he didn't look back.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
If you're not in a position to look back, then
the ball would have landed right over his head if
it was a good thrown ball. He's playing like he's
gonna drop a dime, not expecting the ball on h
him be under thrown hit him.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
In the back of the head.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
So good job by the dB not to start looking
back early, because then if you would have dimed, they
like play through his hands. You know what I'm saying.
You're nine positions back yet.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Right right? I got yeah? For sure? For sure?
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Second down they get an incomplete, but they get an
illegal contact that the first down would have turned into
what a third and ten right there?
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Yep?
Speaker 2 (11:46):
And then yoh, why is you trying a receiver? Pass,
bro y'all are running the ball effectively.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
You're doing well. You're trying to be too smart for
your own good, like you're trying to trick yourself. Like, no,
make him stop it first before you start trying to trickle.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Mm hm.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
I don't know how he was able to scramble for
that for nine, but but.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
He did it, dude, He did what he had he made. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Yeah, and then I believe it was like third and one.
I'm thinking, you know, they about to settle for three again.
They what is it thirtieth ranked in the red zone,
but Mark said, nah, let me go ahead and let
me go ahead and do this man, And then they
get stopped on that first down. Immediately line back up.
Looked like they're about to run the same play. The
(12:31):
boy suck into that play Actually a bad eyes, dude,
and Kurt is wide open for the touchdown?
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Bro yep, why open for the touchdown? Now? They up? Hey? Up?
Ten to what ten and nine? Yes, sir?
Speaker 2 (12:47):
But uh I think it was uh was the missfield
go that made it ten to nine? Yes, it would
have been.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
It would have been ten ten ten.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Yeah, Buffalo. It was the was the first first play
wasn't it. The linebacker ended up dropping back getting that
good little well, he should have picked that, dude.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
It was a little high. That was a good tip, bro.
He should he had that in his hand, but he
cliff palled it to his man if he couldn't catch it.
That was kind of it was kind of high. Tip drill,
he tip drill, tip drill. They don't hit. As long
as it don't hit the ground, we get you know what?
For sure? He tips it the DV gone ahead, pick
it up to the house. Dude, when stupid with it.
(13:33):
I love that he had.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
He had vision to score, Yeah, but blocking the damn
back in the.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Back, get it sent back. Buffalo got lucky on that one.
Houston come out there and they don't do nothing with it.
They able to hold them and they have to settle
for a field that's a that's a sweat.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Got great field position. You actually scored, no question, no question.
It's thirteen to nine. You still up, and you know
you still up. Yeah, you're still feeling good. You're still
feeling good until you kick the damn ball. You ain't lying.
But deebo debo, how about how about that return though?
(14:15):
Did you see what.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
That spin because but he was about he was about
to run into getting smacked and you know, right before collision,
but he probably closes out and closed his eyes, closes
out one hundred.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Percent right before impact. He's ready, He's like boom, he
hits buddy and spins and he wasn't even really ready
to spend. He was kind of I think the return
was embracive and.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Momentum but minimum, but just yep, momentum kept them going.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
So that was just like unfortunate for them dudes.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
And then into the natural dead leg of the one
on one on the kicker, he had no chance.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
He just took it to the man. He ain't have
a chance.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
You go, you you go from what up by foe
to now you down by three?
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Yes, and you ain't even get to touch field as
the defense. Dude, that hurts. That sucked. That hurts.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
I'm like, yo, this is gonna be one of them
games where you play your you play your butt off, and.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
You don't come away with it.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Literally your defense is balling. They haven't they have. They
scored one touchdown on you guys, and they missed the
extra point. You know what I'm saying. Now you're going
down because special teams. Wait, I might have been set, dude.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Houston came out there and yeah, surprise, it was only
a minute thirty nine left, bro, And they.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Answer right before half.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
They go six plays, seventy five yards for a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
And on top of that, that man meals.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
He makes up for missing the throws for the previous
for the previous half, Dude, he goes beside for six
seventy past plays all plass plays. Dude, they didn't they didn't.
They didn't run the ball, not one time. Mm hmm,
twenty to sixteen and half. Yes, I'm like, okay, all
(16:07):
the defense got to do is what they been doing, buddy.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Buffalo come out there. I think they're able to convert.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Like maybe it was one third well sorry, one first down,
the first down, and then Houston locked in. I think
the next first they pressured Allen. He ended up for
like scrambling for two yards. They gone ahead and sit
Cooks down. On the next play, he only get two
(16:37):
and then due, I ain't never seen.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Nobody lose that many yards on the sack.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Eighteen my burned down, bru this man eight scrambling, but
man fell down on the ground.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
We then got to get up, run back. He trying
to revert.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
You see how many times seventy six was trying to
get a back block, so he didn't get you know
what I'm saying, because you know you can't crack. Yes, yes,
you know what I'm saying. It kept on trying to
shield them off. He was playing like boxing them out.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Broh Man. And then you know, they ended up halving
to punt whatever.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
So Houston gets the ball and they proceed to go penalty,
penalty penalty.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
They get the illegal man downfield.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Next they get a hold over there and then the
third down like they declined. I think what was it
a holding penalty or was it an illegal another illegal
man downfield? Buffalo ended up declining because they didn't make
the first anyway.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Yeah, so it was just bad. It was real bad
ball a bunch. You couldn't even get the plays.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
You didn't know. I was like, this is I couldn't
They didn't run a player.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Every play was a flag, right, They punted the ball
back to Buffalo, and I don't know what secure. I
don't know what he was thinking, dude, Like he was
backing up, like running backwards, running back, and then on
top of that, they got a whole penalty, dude, so
that that back put the ball on the nine yard line.
That start to drive dude in Houston's defenses on Allen's
(18:07):
back bay.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Mm hmm. Second, now he gotta.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Throw it away because they on his back pressure down
that boy Hunter put the old lineman in the spin
machine right in the matrix.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
He gets sacked.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
They gotta punt the rock back over there to Houston,
and I'm thinking, Houston, go do something with that thing.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Baby. They go three and out. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
When you're on that fourth down, bruddy, and you're about
to go for that punt fake? What made them think
they can move the whole offensive line? I don't know, Like,
you can't do that.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
That's why they got the flat because the offensive line. Yeah,
they called him for a false start. You exploded the
whole He ran up behind them and then everybody moved right.
The whole line just shifted.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Like you can't do that, y'all set already, Like you said,
I don't know they did. I ain't no way they practiced.
They had to practice that in practice. They had say, Hey,
that might never be legal. I don't think that's gonna work, coach,
like I don't know, Like, yeah, that was that was
that was that was not good. That turned into fourth
and seven.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
No question, dude.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
They gotta punt the rock Buffalo, get the rock back
and third down.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
But then even though when they get the ball back,
my Manfair catches the ball on the six yard line.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Again.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Hey, I'm just looking like, just let it make them
have to catch the ball there.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
It's gonna be bumped in the end zone. Keep your
heels on the tent or like do something.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
But you're just fielding yourself in bad position like this,
like I'm taking here there.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Like you gotta take the chance. And how much more
are you gonna lose? You know what I'm saying, Like
you got.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Lost it last time. You know what I'm saying, like,
let it go. See what happened? Yea, let it go?
R third down? Secure? Secure?
Speaker 2 (20:00):
I said, yeah, I think he fumbos. Houston recovers.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Now, great play, great play, great play, another great player.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Houston gets the ball back. I think they're like.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
At the twenty almost inside the twenty something somewhere around there,
and I believe they end up getting you know, eleven
maybe or something like that.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
On a first and ten or something like that.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
So now they have whatever it is they have, but
again they have to settle for a field goal.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
They get a delayed game penalty, Like how.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
You let that happen? And you right there, somebody got
a call time even the sideline.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Like I know, I know, Like it's not the defense
is putting you in so many favorable positions.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
You should be blowing the bills out. Why they shouldn't
even be this close right now? Bro, I'm with you,
like it.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Is no way they should be as close as they
are right now. Like anyway, brother, they go ahead and
now it's what is it?
Speaker 1 (21:09):
What's the score?
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Then twenty three sixteen? They went, boy, gave it a
twenty six yard field goal, right right.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Right, it's twenty three sixteen. Now Buffalo come back out there,
and the defense jump on his neck.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
He me jd.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
They sack him on first down, desk yo, and then
my guy, now we're going into the Anderson on the
third quarter on the third down and third and thirteen,
he gone ahead and get you.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
The only time he messes.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Up, he let he let Jos scramble out of that
thing for fourteen because he lost contained.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
You gotta tell the d N if you're gonna go in,
you gotta stay out. You know what I'm saying that
they were doing a great job the whole time, container Allen,
because you gotta keep your lanes.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
He can't escape if he can't get through the middle.
And on the outside, y'all does Hunter and Hollard and Junior,
y'all are right there. There's nowhere to go as soon
as you get to your first time.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
And that's the only thing. And like I'm never bashing Will,
but just letting them know. It was thirty thirteen and
the only reason why he got away.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Was because you said. I was like this, No, don't
go in there, Yes, don't go in.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
No, you come up out of that thing. I think
that is at preceding second down, Cooks went for like
twenty and then finally Houston locks it down. I think
they ran like four plays in a row on that
one and on this fourth.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
And one, Cooks run.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Cooks gets three on first down, Cooks gets five on
second down, and then on third down, he gets one.
So we get a fourth and one, dude, fourth and one.
They went on head s mad. They pushed the whole
line back he lost two yards. They turned it over
on downs right there, and did.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
You see how hype the defense was. Did you see
how the corner everything is some dirty to your job.
You're not gonna make the play.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
But he ran there and smacked the full back like
just met him, So there's no bouncing, there's nowhere you
can go. That's how defenses. Every play is not for you,
but something's gonna be dirty to your job. And he
was hyped like when he smacked them, he knew he.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Didn't make the play, but it set up everybody else
to fill up their gaps and send them back and
all lost. And then every he was turned like every
man job, every.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Man, do your job and turn out how it needs
to turn out.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
That play with.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
The coaches hype that that joint just CITs me. That
play made me hip.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Oh no, of course, your coach to come on, man,
hey Houston, get out there, and you know what they do.
Three and out not a not a damn thing, not
a damn thing, dude. That where allen though, he get
back out there on that set, on that on that
second down, Buffalo, get back out there, hey, no shit,
(23:51):
your sacks next play though, will almost strip after that sack.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Though, they got that boys reef, I think for like forty.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
Four sure, yeah, this is Alan again sat again. Hey,
every man, whoople man, that's what they was doing. Every
man whoop whoop man.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
On the third down, they almost sacked him in. He
just was able to throw it away into the back
of the.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Off to the bat off. His alignment almost looked like
grounding to me. But he had a dude round okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I seen him. I'll see them late. Yeah they yeah.
I was with you too. I'm like, where are you
the view and I'm like, oh, okay, buddy right there.
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
So they ended up selling for a field goal is
nineteen to twenty three, dude, Yes, sir, Hey man, Houston
get out there.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
First down.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Damn meals his Higgins for what was sixteen completion.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
He's toe tap on the sideline. Just sweet it. That's it.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Buffalo stiffened Doug made him punt, and now Buffalo get
the ball back with two eight left.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Bro, Yes, sir, seventeen years it is.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
It is no way I'm happy in this situation, even
though we have sacked the draws off this boy, I
am not happy in this situation. They go out there, Bro.
On that second and ten at the forty seventh, Bro,
they sacking for ten. Okay, h The next play on
the third down, they sacking for seven.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
That's eight sacks.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Yes, it could have been nine with the one that
they you know, he pushed him forward and.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Hit him forward in the back and he got a
gained the yard, they said for sure, which it is
fourth and twenty.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
It ain't no way. I'm like, this is over with, Bro,
this is over with dude. Here's the crazy thing. When
I saw dude catch the ball and I seen old
dude coming towards it was like, Dude, it's hooking ladder
is coming.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
It's hooking ladder. It's coming. You can see it, like
from a mile a mile away, Bru.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
And they pick up the whole first plus more plus more.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
That hook and ladder was ran clean as hell though,
de bo Bru.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
And then the next play he throws Allen throws the
ball down there. They lucky dude didn't have a little
bit more room because he caught that, but he couldn't
get both of.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Them feet down. Yeah, but that was a fade that
would have been at that two. That was good defense too.
That was a good defense.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
It was a good position, good catch, one foot in,
one foot out.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
Yeah, dude, that would have been at the two if
they was able to do that, dude, man, I would
have been ready to lose my mind.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Brouh.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
And then they get to the fourth and one and
they get a false start. Brother, like you get fourth
and one, you get a false start. Now they kick
y'all back fire. I think they by now they had
what they had the Houston, like twenty twenty five somewhere
around there.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
They was at the seventeen fire y'all said the twenty
two y'all.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Line, okay, and then they pressure Allen again. He can't
step through on that thing. He prosted short and he
gets picked off.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
Game over Yeah, yep, yep.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
And on top of it, they got an o PI anyway, right.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Everybody was they talking about, you know, defense? No, They're like, no,
that's office, that's offense. Buddy ran over there, smack, Buddy
ran over there and off so you can run back.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
You know how bad that would have hurt them if
they actually caught that pass and then they had that
Oh yeah, no for sure.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
But then I still would have been nervous because like
they go drop him back.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
I mean, I just see this man.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yes, but Josh Allen, we know you never know, man, Houston, Yo.
At one point, Cleveland was the number one defense.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Okay, Houston, it's currently the number one defense, Joe, Now, Joe,
that's what the number one defense looks like.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
And that's how you operate. You make the plays when
it counts. Oh Devo.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Allen was sacked eight times, bro, more than he's ever
been sacked in one game in his career. It could
have been nine, Like I said, it could have been.
The four man rush was terrorizing them. They got hit
when they blitzed. That was the crazy thing, dude. They
got hit when they blitzed. Anderson and Hunter just terrorized
Allen all night, dude, which helped to the what two
(28:28):
interceptions and a fumble that they recovered, bruh That turnover
on downs in the red zone.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
The red zone turnover. They ain't get nothing from that.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
Like that was the opportunity where they could have had
another three or six or seven whatever it may be.
Houston made plays when it counted in situational football. That
is what number one defenses do. Buffalo had nothing to do.
They could not protect that man last night to save anything, Like.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
Yeah, Debo, what you're saying is is absolutely correct. The
defensive line was just on them every time. It only
took four uh Will Haye Hunter. And the thing was
with Stingley and the secondary, they're real sticky. Everybody there
was nobody really running Scott Free. The biggest plays they
had was Will Anderson if he went have lost contained
(29:27):
on that third down, and then when Shakira caught that
swing pass that that that he made two people miss
in the open field. If they just eliminate those plays,
there's like nothing really there because the dealon's wanted to
get there. The secondary is sticky, they make plays, they
own on people. So like the main thing is with
them is Houston on offense, are they gonna be able
(29:49):
to score those touchdowns?
Speaker 1 (29:51):
I think with c J.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
Stroud gets back, it's going to be really really big
for him because you got a great defense like this,
Uh we got you got Nico Collins, you have some
good some good pieces of offense. You have a Christian
Kirk some of these players, like I think in the
red zone, just a RedZone efficiency, don't turn the ball over,
be able to score touchdowns instead of field goals. The
future looks bright because that defense. They're out there, they're hunting,
(30:13):
They look hungry, they look happy to be able to
hit people.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 3 (30:18):
Like that, when Hunter and them are talking about rushing
the passer, that just looks like that doesn't look like
it travels. That defense travels is number one for a
reason in yards yes, and points allowed.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
You know what I say. They number one in total defense.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
They number one in points, They second in takeaways, They
second and turnover mars when they third and third down percentage,
they third and pass defense, and fourth and rush defense. Dude,
it ain't nothing that they don't do well. Like when
you have all that, all I need my offense to
do is give me seventeen points, control the ball and
(30:53):
don't turn it over too.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
It's easy from there. The resident that that it looked
it looked good. It looked good. It was with the
backup quarterback.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
He missed a couple of passes, but then at the
same time he was able to get get him down
there when they needed to score.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Now, he answered, they answered, when it counted like they answered,
they went on head, No, we ain't gonna go down
here down mm hmm man with Man and thirty eight.
He went on out there and took him on the
touchdown drive so huge, all on his arm to run
the rock. Now one time, one time, devout, that's handed him.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
You know what I'm saying, Like, Yeah, that was that
was nice. That was nice. That's what answering when you
need him.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Defense going down there and hunishing, dude, putting pressure on
the quarterback exactly what we gona need when the stealers.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Face the Bears this week. Dude.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
All right, and I'm talking to the defense too. You
know I put everything on the defense.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
You do.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
You do this because I'm a defensive guy, John, I know.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
I know. If I'm a defensive guy, our job is
to stop you from scoring. If we do our job,
then we win. Period. Yes, defense has.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
To continue what they've been doing and build and get
better than they were the previous week.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
The next week, and so on and so on week
after week.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
We have to stop the run and make Chicago one dimensional,
make them have to pass the ball. We do that,
we can get them into third and long situations, dude,
and get at the klub Like if we're able to
do that you know, and we create these opportunities, then
(32:36):
we now create opportunities to get turnovers because we need turnovers.
We have to give our offense more opportunities on the
field because we don't execute well on a continuous basis
of right on the offensive side. And when you look
at it, you know Chicago's offense, dude, Like they're number
(32:59):
four muffins in the NFL, they're number two in Russian.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
They have Swift and the other dude, both of them
dudes almost averaging like four to eight a rush. And
then you add you know Cale up in there with
his scrambling. I think just from you know, his scrambling,
it's not designed total runs for him.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Like he's fifth I.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Think rushing quarterback in the NFL, and that's only behind Lamar, Allen.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Hurts and Daniels.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Yes, dude, if we do not stop the run, we're
going to be in for a long row in the offense, dude,
they have.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
To take advantage of Chicago's defense.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
They're a twenty seventh ranked defense and they're twenty fifth
in the rush.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Dude. Now here's an issue, though, Well, what's what's yes,
what's the issue?
Speaker 2 (33:58):
The issue is they're number one in interception rating. That's
why we have to run the ball effectively because we
can't get into situations where we're behind the change and
we have to pass the ball. On top of that,
they're number two in third down percentage, so they know
what to do on third downs when.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
They money downs.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
We can't be behind the change as an offense, not
doing things effectively and having to rely on the past game.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Therefore, that's why it's critically.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Important that our defense shut them down so that they
cannot score points. Like the offense, we cannot turn the
ball over. We need to stay uphead of the change
so we have favorable down and distance situations that second
and six or that third and three and four, whatever
that is. We have to have that effectiveness or a
(34:53):
success rate as they say it, when we get out
there as an offense.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Yep, I'm with you.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
I think for shelf Show we need to have Mount
Washington playing out in the game big time. I think
him being able to help in the run game, run blocking,
and then being able to in the past game. Also,
you don't know if you're gonna run all past music
there because we could run behind him because he's three hundred,
he's gonna block and we could play action and be
able to pass. So I think being able to use Washington,
(35:21):
being able to stay ahead of the sticks like you're
saying using game, Well, if we could just get the
ball into their hands early, but by staying ahead, I
know we need to run for sure, but we have
to run.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
We have to we have to run.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
But I'm just saying making sure we stay ahead of
the sticks and not turning the ball over on defense
like you said, Debo, we cannot let Swift start toting
the ball on us.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
They can't get ahead of the.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Sticks, and we need to be opportunistic because when we
get in those third down and long situations where TJ.
Watt can get the strip sacks, where Hot Smith, where
Nick Berfect, where they can just come strip the quarterback,
be able to get after.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Contain lanes too. We don't need to be able to
like just trying to beat your not individual. When the
rush is a team, DCNS line the front line, d.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Tackles, y'all, stay in y'all's lanes, d NS be able
to come and flush him forward so he's not being
able to escape.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Not only stay in your lane dude, don't get pushed
off the ball. No, sure, you cannot get pushed off
the ball, Dude, I don't care if you double team,
grab grass, drop down. If you don't do just just
fall to the ground, make a pile. If you can't
do nothing else. You can't get pushed back three four
yards this vertical hole.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
No, A thousand thousand.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
We can't do that, and it just looks like we
may not even you know, have Aaron. He he looks
like he broke or fracture some type of bone in
his wrist. And you know he's saying, you know, if
he's able to protect himself, he's going to play.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
He was out of practice.
Speaker 2 (36:47):
He was wearing a wrist stabilizer and he took you know,
some snaps, some reps from gun. But you think you
think he'll play Sunday if he if he's able to play.
Do you think he'll play even if he's not able
to play? Or would you just prefer to see you know, Rudolph,
you know, get out there.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Who would you want to see?
Speaker 3 (37:09):
I want to I don't want a rod to get
I want him to be able to protect itself because
it is on his non on hand and if you
do all I know about having the broken fingers, you
can't protect your head from going down to the ground.
You praise, so you ain't you not being able to
You're going to go throw that wrist out, dude, you
yourself from hitting the ground. And now it may not
(37:31):
be longer be a fract it may be a total break.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
I don't I don't think it's smart for him to
actually play. I believe that we can can beat this
team as long as Mason can go out there and
be effective and we can actually run the ball and
get them to where they are now, you know, biting
up on some of the play action things, so we
(37:55):
can get deep balls and be efficient and hitting the
you know, the short routes, getting and then creating you know.
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Yack gota, we gotta get the catch.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Like you said, Darnelle Washington, that boy three eleven, you're
trying to tackle offensive lineman one thousand percent that are
throwing out stiff arms and trying to hurdle you.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Doing all that. All that as the size of the
right tackle. Yes, so I think it's gonna be big
for Mason Rudolph. I think Mason Rudolf can do it.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
He showed us a lot of times he's been the
starting quarterback, uh, and I think he just knows what
he has to come in there and do his job.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
He knows this. I like Mason's d ball. I like him.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
He could throw the bang eights if he can get
the run game going. You know what I'm saying. He
can be able to hit a DK on some of
those passes. And I like I like Mason. I like
the way he throws the ball. So just being able
to go protect it, knowing what he's got to go do.
He's not trying to go out there. No, he's They're
not putting the team on him. You don't got to
go win it. We're not putting the whole thing on
your back. We're just asking you to gun down there
and maintain the ship. Just keep it the key to
(38:56):
us afloat, keep it going. Don't do nothing crazy, but
just play. Play play the play the play. Play If
it ain't there, man, and don't.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Go away.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
If it ain't I if the you know, if the drop,
if the if the dump is there dumping.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
If it's not, and you can't go ahead, you gotta
take your shack, like.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
Don't do anything that's going to give them the ability
to get extra possessions, and we're giving away possessions we can't,
especially when it's going to give him short fields or
takes away opportunities where we could have scored points.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
He had three drives last week and we scored two
touchdowns and got a field goal on another one. We
could have scored three touchdowns on all three of them.
So just do what you're doing. Just you know what
I'm saying, what I've seen last week. If I'm going
from previous, just do that. You know what I'm saying.
You got a weak of practice. You I know he's
preparing like he's gonna be able to be out there.
So even that giving them a little more confidence knowing
like all right, bet like this could be literally on me.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
You know what I'm saying. I haven't feeling better too.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Yeah, speaking of speaking of confidence, is your door the
guy the Browns. The Browns up against the Raiders. But
I want to let.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
You in on a little secret.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
The quarterbacks are oh and seventeen in their first career
starts since the teams joint in a foul deep what
do you what do you expect to see and what
do you say they need or should doore needs to
(40:25):
do to make sure that the Browns come away with
a victory. Because for me, you know, I don't know. Well,
it's reports out there that Joe Flapper before he left it.
You know, he was upset that they wasn't opening up
the playbook, they wasn't throwing the ball down the field,
you know, because you know the offensive coordinator didn't.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
You know, that's not what he wanted to do.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
So now this kind of puts me in a situation off.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
That's something that wasn't part of the plan.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Then what we're dealing with Gabriel, we may end up
dealing with with Shador.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
Or is it going to be a.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
Situation where we see shaudor actually taking the shots down
the field or you know, I'm just kind of thinking
like we might have might have jumped the gun on
you know, Gabriel being a dumped down passer. You tell me,
I would say hold up and something else. Brother, you're
(41:28):
playing the Raiders. Yes, if your defense, that's what your
defense is supposed to do. It's no way Shador can
lose this game. Unless he loses this game.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Debo you are saying what I was about to say,
best things, best case scenario. We're going against the Vegas Raiders. Okay, Shadoor,
I'm not asking you. Nobody's asking you to go out
there and be a world beater. You know what I'm saying.
We're just you to go in there and the simple
(42:01):
throws we need. We're not asking you to go We
need to run the ball. Our offensive line needs to
make sure Juggins gets going.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
We need to stay ahead of the sticks.
Speaker 3 (42:09):
Just the same things that we're saying for like the
Mason Rudolph, the teams that have great defenses.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
You don't lose the games for those guys.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
You know what I'm saying. You don't put them in
bad positions. They're gonna go out there and ball out.
You know what I'm saying. What you do is stay
ahead of the sticks, hold the ball, convert on third down.
You know what I'm saying, don't turn the ball over.
So when me and Sha Door, they need to go
in run the ball really well. Juggins, they need the
offensive line needs to protect them. Know that he's a
young quarterback coming in. This is his first start and
not all it's already pressure. It's a lot going on.
(42:39):
But just like when we had Dylan Gabriel in there
and some thirds downs, I would see that he would
throw the ball into the.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
Ground even if it's not the open to play. But
on third and six, when you have an out route,
hit that out route. You know what I'm saying, to
move the chains.
Speaker 3 (42:51):
If there's nothing's there, you know what I'm saying, throw out,
throw it away. You know what I'm saying, Just smart decisions.
Not being out there trying to do too much, throwing interceptions,
turning the ball over, hurting your team because you got
a great we have a great defense. Defense needs to
go out there and perform. Try to create turnovers, get
you the ball back and on their side of the field.
You know what I'm saying, Like where you have short
(43:12):
short short fields, when you get in the red zone,
try to get touchdowns instead of interceptions. But if you don't,
don't turn it over, still be able to get three.
You know what I'm saying, like, just do the simple things.
Do the simple things right, and we're gonna be able
to see progress and not you're not losing the game.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
And on thirty and six is when you can able
to create hit that hit that five and out. You
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Scramble maybe for a couple of first downs, Extend a
couple of drives, you know what I'm saying, and then
hit a couple of big passes. If you hit a
fifteen yard dig, you know what I'm saying, some out
routes on time, sixteen for twenty two.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
You know what I'm saying. One hundred and sixty hundred
and seventy yards, two touchdowns and we win the game
or one touchdown, no turnovers. You know what I'm saying.
You scrambled a couple of times, So nobody's looking for
you to.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
Be thirty for thirty for thirty five, three hundy yards,
three touchdowns. No one has say that's not what we're
asking from you. That's not That would be amazing, you
know what I'm saying. But for you to go out
there and just be a consistent quarterback, were be able
to just not turn the ball over, hit simple passes
that we need, and not just be airmailing stuff, throwing
(44:14):
stuff into traffic, you know what I'm saying. Like those
turnovers that you had, don't turn the ball over because
we have a great defense eat that.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
You know what I'm saying. Something just jumped in my head, Joe.
But you know what, do you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 2 (44:27):
Man?
Speaker 1 (44:27):
Do you know what I'm saying? Just jumped in my head? Man,
Miles is Gary is about to play the Freighters. Bro Yeah,
he's going for the record. He might get it. Is
that what you was thinking about? Oh my god? That,
Oh my god? Broh Lord Lord.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
And on top of that, Miles could get the record
and Shaid Dough could break the record.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
He can be the.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
First quarterback that gets a win his first career start.
The Browns rejoined the NFL. Who hey, Joe, I'm gonna
I'm gonna have to watch this one. You got to debo.
We gotta be dialed in in Viva what in Viva
(45:16):
Las Vegas. I gotta watch it. I think she is
gonna be able to do it.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
I hope, because the Browns defense gonna come along, and
then we just had that offense.
Speaker 1 (45:23):
Do what I said with the odds is I'm dropping.
I'm dropping. I'm dropping fifty thousand on Shad.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
Oh Man get and get his first career start, winning
and break the record. The Curse of the Cleveland Browns
since they rejoined the NFL the first time starting quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
I canna put fifty thousand on it. Are you you
a lie? I'm gonna thank you.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
I'm gonna thank you at advance. Okay, still it's got
the one o'clock. Y'all got the full I'm gonna thank
you in advancee Hey.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
Bruh, I appreciate that debo.
Speaker 2 (45:58):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
And if you don't, what, brother, I'm gonna have to
see you though. I'm gonna have to go see you.
If you don't do that need half that tilling me.
That's that pressure. That's that real pressure. That's that depot pressure.
Speaking of you know, speaking a little bit of pressure, man.
So Ceee.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Lamb confirmed the rumors that, you know, he and George
Pickings had been out past curfew after having dinner and
drinks at Red Rock Casino in Vegas. Okay, okay, now
they were benched for the first couple of series. I thought,
I think it was supposed to be for the whole game,
but things the Boys was benched for the first series.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Bro, it was just one. It was the first two.
It was the first two. Are you sure? I'm positive? Bro?
I'm positive because things I think that was when they
ended up getting.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
The field goal, and then I think I think they
were trying to sit them down for the whole game,
but things got hectic, you know. But you said, hey,
I'm shooting down any claims that you know, I had
been seeing throwing up at seven thirty am. He said,
(47:08):
you know, such claims were offensive to him because he
can hold down his liquor. Dude, what should have been
offensive that you was actually out drinking before the game?
Like and miss past curfew? That's crazy, you know, Yeah,
I know it's Vegas, Bros. You could go back, and
(47:30):
you can go back, and you know, you can go
back in the offseason if you really want to get
some Vegas in brother.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
No for show for show. I mean, yeah, you ever
had anybody that you know went on ahead and got
it got it in? Man? Look miss curfew and debo debo?
You are you? I mean, are you are hilarious?
Speaker 3 (47:50):
Because yes, I had plenty of teammates, our teammates with
a good man, young Johnny that he had a game
and he flew to Vegas before a game. You know
what I'm saying a little So yeah, I got plenty
teammates that did some wild things.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
You know. Uh, that's it. Uh what you mean, I'm
just asking. I don't know. I'm just yeah, I got
I got, I got I got some more.
Speaker 3 (48:12):
But I'm gonna hear the draft Johnny. Johnny already told
on himself, so I feel comfortable. That's my So the
story is already out there anybody else.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
I was just saying, you know, because we running, were
running honest podcast.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
You know what I'm saying. Oh no, for sure, for sure. Parents.
I don't want to be I don't want to be
too transparent before game day.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
Game day was never no, I'm never missing nothing, and
I'm not doing nothing before game day.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Chilling, chilling during the week.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
Sometimes when I was on the younger side, like you said,
I might have stepped out, you know, been a little
bit to gag wrestling and woke up your live.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
I'm a little late.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
I was too scared. I was too scared to do
see that's anything because you know you came in drafted. Bro,
that's when it's a package deal.
Speaker 1 (48:54):
Because they needed an extra body. I get one, and
that's crazy to cut me like they cut checks.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
You know, Bo, you ain't lying I did have a
little extra wiggle room because I was like, yeah, Joe,
you're gonna be here for a while, dude.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
Money.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
Speaking of money, man, James Winston says he regrets letting
his family and friends spend four hundred a month, four
a month, Joe, have you ever heard of anybody spending
that letting anybody spend that much money on their family
or friend.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
Like or a twelve sixteen. Oh my one point six
one point six every four I lost? But how many
months was it?
Speaker 3 (49:39):
Bruh, Listen, that's crazy, bro, Listen, that's crazy. You four
hundred a month. You don't know what you don't know?
But uh yeah, just telling them, like no, you can't.
What people don't realize is this NFL thing And like
(50:00):
this money, it is not going to last.
Speaker 1 (50:01):
NFL stands for not for long.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
If Jameis Wilson had five million, Jameis Wilson touched two
point five million dollars, so that five isn't two and
a half.
Speaker 1 (50:11):
And then you have to live for the rest of
your life. And that's the thing.
Speaker 3 (50:14):
Everything costs everything window like this window.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
But you're trying to spread it to this You got
that and here's the thing to young guys. You gotta
see young guys that don't see the end. It's care
as if every day could be the end, dude, Because
the average NFL career is what three and a half year?
(50:38):
I think three is like it is. It's not going
to be long if your average. Some people are fortunate enough,
such as you and I to get.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
Longer careers going, but.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
You cannot let that money just run through your fingers
still because you have it. And the biggest issue with
guys is they don't see it coming to an end,
and they don't see it coming to an end until
it's already there. And now they're like, oh, man, I
gotta do this, I gotta do that, I gotta take
(51:13):
care of my body.
Speaker 1 (51:14):
I gotta do whatever I need to do to get
back healthy.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
And nine times out of ten they hurt something and
they can't get back to where they were. And now
it's somebody else in there that's younger, that's faster, that's stronger,
that's cheaper. Yeah, they're running off with what it was
that you had but didn't take advantage of it because
(51:36):
you were too busy.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
Living the high life, spending, flashing and all that. It's so.
Speaker 3 (51:44):
For kids, I mean finally being able to make your dream,
never having the money before. You gotta realize, though, it's
like this thing that you believe in. Now it's your job,
it's what you do. And this you're hitting the lottery
every single year. It could be gone before you before
you know it. But telling the player that while you're
in it, you think you're about to get your next deal.
(52:05):
This contract is what it is like now I'm about.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
To get the bag. And that's how always everybody thinks.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
But you got to always think like no matter what,
if you're done, if you play a ten year career,
you get in when you're twenty one, twenty two years old,
you're thirty two, done out, and then you get Now
if this is good, this is this is long, this
is this is even if you play on the long
end like me and you, if you only think if
you can only do four or three or two, you
know what I'm saying, Like, that's just you know what
(52:30):
I'm saying, Like, that's.
Speaker 1 (52:31):
Something that people don't really think about.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
You think your career is gonna last a long time
and not the next year, I'm gonna be able to
stack it.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
The next year no, I'm I'm gonna get a deal
this one, so I'm gonna be able to do this
stuff now. No, once you get out after two years,
after five years, after ten years, when you can.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
Probably sit down and have all of that stacked sitting
in the bank and with whatever whatever you were able
to play with. You know what I'm saying, being able
to have that nugget or being able to set budgets
for yourself, go of knowing at the end of the year.
I underad this much of my con because at the
end of once it's all.
Speaker 1 (52:59):
Done, what can I have for me? What can I
be able to walk away with?
Speaker 3 (53:03):
Because there's been dudes that always planning on now the
next year was I'm gonna be able to start stacking
my and then it's gone. So it's planning like this
could be gone tomorrow every every year, so every dude
has to make sure that they're stacking it.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
Matter of fact, this is what I'll say.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
When you're playing, everybody wants to be around you.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
So all those.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Business connections that you can make instead of making the
connections with Joe blow that does this or that, like
make the connections with people who do investments, make the
connection with people who own you and know those multi
million dollar companies, corporations, billion dollar corporation, Like, make those connections.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
They want to be around you. Yes, take advantage of
these opportunities.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
They want to talk to you now, are right then
and there because when you're when you're.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
Done, they don't care about it. You don't want to see.
Speaker 2 (53:59):
They can't flaunch you in front of whoever or whatever,
take pictures with you in sales with so and so,
like when you're in there, dude, you use that. I
think we're too busy trying to you know, do whatever
it is that we're trying to do when we're young.
I was one of those guys, be honest you. I
didn't even save money, dude. I didn't until I had
my son, dude, and then I was like, oh snap,
(54:19):
I got somebody else other than myself. And that's really
what started me to save and invest in and and
you know, building the actual, you know, a life after football.
Speaker 3 (54:34):
So I was I think I got drafted and I
heard so many other you know, the horror stories because
I was a highly drafted player, debo, you know what
I'm saying. So coming into a lot of money, you
know what I'm saying. It was just something that wasn't
I wasn't normally used to. So at the beginning I
can say I definitely did a lot of the wrong things.
Speaker 1 (54:53):
But you got to go through trial and error. You
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (54:56):
You have family, friends, you got things that you gotta
be able to set boundaries.
Speaker 1 (55:00):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
You have getting married, having a family, knowing like this
could all be gone.
Speaker 1 (55:04):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (55:05):
You want to take care of people, But the end
of the day, once it's all done, you'll be looking
at you crazy if you don't.
Speaker 1 (55:11):
Have anything left, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
So being able to say even stack so when you
do retire, you can be able to live fruitfully and
be able to take care of people and move how
you want to and be and keep your sanity.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
Yeah, yeah, for sure. Hey look here they say. L
Angelo Ball revealed that he only tips was ten twenty
dollars on a four hundred dollars million He said, that's
how I rock.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
We got we got the video. I think I think
we got we got the video on that No, we don't.
Speaker 2 (55:41):
Okay, cool anyway that boy say that's how you rock.
How you tip bro.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Meal never de Bo'm I'm I'm a gracious tipper and
I learned my parents. We always did with my parents
are twenty percent, and that's basically how I do all
the time.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
I'm a twenty percent tipper, and.
Speaker 3 (55:58):
That's just that's for bad if I if it's a
good service, I might go twenty five to thirty.
Speaker 1 (56:02):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (56:02):
But like I really I think that if somebody doing
a good service and I'm getting really good, really good help,
I love.
Speaker 1 (56:10):
I'm a good tip.
Speaker 3 (56:11):
I learned from my parents though they always did that,
So I'll tell you this.
Speaker 1 (56:16):
So I'm like, I'm like a fifteen to twenty tipper. Okay.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
And the reason I my big pet peeve is if
I have water and my water go empty, my water
ain't full.
Speaker 1 (56:32):
That's a problem for me. So you only go get
fifteen to twenty percent.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
Now, if I have somebody that's really tendative and really
takes care of me.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
I'm going to take care of them.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
Got you, Depending on what the bill is, I made
tip one hundred percent of the big m depending on
where I'm at. So yeah, I did something else like
I want to, especially if you get a good server.
That's that's just what they is, you know, saying you
look around, it's not them just treating you that way.
You see me at this table and that table, and
they're doing the same. I'm like, yo, that's a good service.
(57:03):
So I'm sure when I come in here they see that,
see their reservation for James here, Hey, make sure you
give me their server if they if they don't, because
you know, I'm gonna. And then on top of that,
if they're not there, the service go be like yo,
so and so tips well, but you got to make
sure you take care of them, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (57:18):
So, yeah, I have to. You have to.
Speaker 2 (57:20):
You have to tip well, dude, it's not it's not
a you know, an option. You're going out no matter
what happens, you have to tip.
Speaker 1 (57:28):
Well.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
It's nothing worse than you know, you as a server
going and serving somebody. And then I don't care if
the service is average, like you still have to tip.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Well, like no, no, no, nowhere should.
Speaker 2 (57:42):
Anybody get less than eighteen to twenty percent if they
did their job effectively.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Now they did they go above.
Speaker 2 (57:48):
And be on and they're being just like disrespected hey
and above and beyond, and they just they I ain't
gonna lie, dude.
Speaker 1 (57:55):
I think I said that one time, and I don't
know if the.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
Server heard it somewhere, right, Dude, I couldn't get a
simple water out of my glass, bro, without him coming
back and.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
Filling that thing, making sure he was on top. Yes,
so you took care of him, dude, no question, Bro,
I'm like I had to. I had to do this one. No,
I'm good. I don't need no more water, man, I
ain't gonna.
Speaker 3 (58:18):
I'm no for it's sure. I'm with you one thousand
percent debo.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
Good tip.
Speaker 3 (58:26):
No matter what, Like you said eighteen to twenty, they're
doing their job.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
They got a job to do.
Speaker 3 (58:30):
But I'm a thousand percent normal because I go by this.
I normally divided by four or I divided by five.
Whatever the bill is, how much it costs, I divided
by four or five, So I know I'm gonna get
either twenty five percent or twenty percent for sure.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (58:45):
