That's where does she decide to go? And oh kay
love that. That's what's up.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, yeah, I just went to my mom's graduation in Virginia.
I thought I wasn't gonna make it. I was delayed, canceled, readbooked.
I had to like fly to Charlotte, drive to Virginia.
I thought I was gonna make it back. Like traveling
right now is just crazy, Like these airlines are just
they don't care no more. They charge me whatever, and

(03:15):
then it's not even a guarantee that you're gonna get
to your destination.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
But I made it in time to see my mama
walk across the stage. I'm so proud of her.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
And it was just like a beautiful celebration this mother's
day after watching her achieve one of her dreams.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Like it was just amazing to see that.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So they shout out to we love mom.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yeah, shout out to the O G Humble batty.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Okay, yeah, how was your Mother's Day Alexis? You know,
it was actually very light, which I appreciate. Usually I
try to disappear, especially because my kids are older and
why not. But this time it started off the day before.
It's like a nice little weekend, you know. I started

(04:06):
off going to beach club that we like and just
hanging out there, so that was nice and easy and
easing into it. And then on Saturday, I actually was
honored along with fifteen other women. Trina had a with
her foundation had just highlighted amazing women called she Is Everything.

(04:26):
So I was humbled and honored to receive the Style
and Substance Award and my mother and my daughter, so
it was actually kind of dope to be there and
do a little brunch and hang out with some other
amazing women.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
And so we did that.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
And then on Sunday slept in which was awesome to do,
and ended up going to Houston's with my mother and
my daughter. Again, I loved me some Houston.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
I do too.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
They were like, where do you want to go? And
I was like, Houston It's my favorite place. You know,
It's consistent, the drinks, the food, and just really enjoy that.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
And so that's what I did for Mother's a weekend.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
And then just this week is my last week of school,
which I'm super excited about. So I'm on my last
little finishing my blog, culinary school as well as my
oldest son.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
He graduates on Sundays.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
So I'm preparing myself, preparing the house for relatives coming
in town, and just really getting in the swing of
things of really just getting ready to be prepared for
the ends of the year in this summer transition.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
So just trying to get everyone's.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Camps in order, their au schedules in order, traveling.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Also, I have to do an externship.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
So when I am cooking in the restaurant called Smith
and Webster, Okay, you guys.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Are gonna have to come back a Holliboyd. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
So it actually is working out because you know, he's
a friend of all of us, and we reached out
and I've been to the establishment. I'm gonna be working
the line, gonna be the and I'm gonna be expediting
the food as it comes out. So y'all gonna have
to come through for the after you know, the next
six weeks.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
I'll be there Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, yep.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Getting by my culinary on in the back, and we're
just gonna also do some dope events to in conjunction
with it, just so we can bring awareness to the community.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
He does a lot of outreach and things like that,
and we.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Want to you know, highlight this this journey, so uh
inviting every woman you know, come through, so it should
be interesting.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Well why are you so dark? You're the light. And
I've been cussing my lady.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
You know, took all my she just took all my
podcast stuff, like this is my computer.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Yeah, alcoholic in Tampa.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
So I was doing a lot of cleaning and rearranging
and adjusting. So I had a clean lady come and
she just did what the hell didn't want to do.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
I'm like clean, cleaned it on out of there.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Okay, Okay, I'm just making sure all right, Well that's
what's up. I mean Mother's Day is I feel like
it's such a special holiday, like for everybody because everybody
got a mama, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
So to me, it's like one of the holidays.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I feel like everybody feels the spirit, you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Everybody just I just do it. I love this time
of year.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
The weather's getting nice, you know, schools about to be out, Like,
spirits are just high right now, and I just love that. Yeah,
we're very exciting. Well I'm glad again having mothers stay
to all the mothers. But now time to get into
the tea baby, because it is five. We're gonna start
off right now with the Diddy situation. And it does
not look that. I feel so bad, and I'm a

(08:00):
an article and I saw where they stated that the
girls had to leave.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
I don't know if it was because it was just.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Too much, Like I don't know if I was born
through something, if you know, I was dealing with somebody
as a mother who was born through something like that,
a mother of children, I would want my daughters in
a situation like that. Yeah, they can support, But you
would or wouldn't You said you wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I would not. No, yes, yeah, I know.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I think especially a situation like this when it's about
abuse and like sexual abuse, you know, we have to
still protect our children, even if it's from our own family,
you know what I mean? Like I feel like you
need to protect their innocence at all costs. Yeah, they're
like in high school or did they did.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
They graduate already? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I know one that's yeah, the one older one, and
then there's either they're I.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Don't or something like that.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
But I just still feel like, you know, there's a point,
you know, where we need to protect our children. I
feel like we're in a day and age where we
just feel like our children can handle it, and you know,
they're more.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Mature and everything like that.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
But I just really feel like, you know, children have
a place, and in the courtroom, you never know what
a witness might say, what might come out, You just
never know. And I feel like, you know, they're gonna
need therapy if they're not already in therapy, because this
is their father that is being accused of.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
All these things.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
And you know, children or even grown ups don't even
know how to always process something like this. This is
very traumatic, This is very you know, even if the
allegations are not true, still this is a very life
changing experience. And I can't imagine a young person being
able to process everything that they're hearing and everything that

(10:02):
they're going through, and when they have to leave the
courtroom and they're around their peers and they're at school
and they're on the internet and they're reading different things
that are being said about their dad, I just don't
know that allowing them to be in the courtroom to
hear the most raw versions of these stories. Three Yeah,

(10:24):
I agree with you, Ashley, that's a tough one. I
didn't read where they were escorted, you know, they had
to leave or anything like that. I did see like
clips here and there, and just I know at the
beginning it was definitely they were they were finishing up
the jury selection and then started getting into the opening
statements and having a calling a couple of witnesses. So

(10:47):
I hope they were kind of escorted out after, you know,
right before those testimonies came out, because people are stating there,
you know, when you're under oath like that, you're obviously
stating facts that have happened, and you want to you know,
you're their reason, and that is tough. I understand they
want to be there to support their father and as

(11:08):
well as the fact that some of them are a
little older, you know, adults, young adults, but at the
same time, this is stuff that's obviously like evidence and
also now going to be held against him or whatever
the case may be in the court of law.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
So it's like, this is tough. I mean, yeah, And
so the latest story that they're saying is that.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Did he hire an escort and made him and Cassie
have sex in front of him?

Speaker 2 (11:40):
And made him pee in her mouth. This is the thing.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
It's like, are we saying like this actual situation of
them like pampeing in her mouth? Was that like abuse?
Or was this something that they just partooking? Is that
what the defense is saying? Like this is just like
how they.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Normally, you know, have sexual relations.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Like what is the what is the defense saying in
this situation.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
I'm no lawyer, no judge, no none of that.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
I have been asked to go to jermy duty and
been dismissed a couple of times. But this right here,
I don't think he's on trial for the sexual stuff.
I feel like what people do in their bedrooms and
their homes is their thing.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Now when it becomes criminal, That's what I think.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
There's this is the testament to his character and forestion
and just very much intimidation. So I'm not I'm not sure,
you know the difference of you know, what the what
the evidence is going. But I don't think he's on
trial for that. They're just really showing his character. So
you know, when you start doing this all these sexual things,

(12:55):
and again, what people do behind closed doors is their thing. Fine,
what a but now it's coming to the forefront of
how who you really are and what you're into, and
people are gonna the public is gonna judge. So I
don't know if that's you know, the prosecuting sides what
they're trying to show, like, you know, he is someone

(13:16):
who has these you know, levels of X, Y and Z,
but they're presenting their case. So the thing is we're
gonna find out as the public eventually, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
I always say, what's done in the dark comes to
the light.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
So we're just gonna be sitting here watching this, and
I'm sure it's gonna be some kind of like Law
and Order episode coming out like later on or something
like that, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
So yeah, they're about to make.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Documentaries for ages about Diddy in this whole situation, just
like they did one with r Kelly, the whole Me.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Too movement with Epstein.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Like I feel like, first of all, people are really
interested in seeing like these great men, these mobiles, these
mobiles get taken down.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
It's interesting to people.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
People love to dig in and see these people be
pulled and ripped apart their lives just one minute, like
their far from greatness.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
People love that they see.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
They love you to climb, and you're right, they want
to help somebody bring them down. But you know, it's
it's it's unfortunate because this is when you really see
who or you know, your supporters are, who's in your corner,
who's backing you up. But it's tough when you have
this in front of us, like, you know, all this evidence,
and then we've seen him be in such one way,

(14:36):
you know, publicly, and then you know privately we're learning
about him even more. So it's definitely a tough situation.
I really hate it because did he really was like
a prominent figure. I mean, he's been around for Salt
for for decades, you know, and has done a lot
in the community and in their entertainment, and so it

(15:00):
is sad to see this, But you know, what's done
in the darkness gonna always come to light.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Maybe so hopefully, you know, I don't know, hopefully this
stuff isn't true. But these victims, you know, they demand,
they deserve justice. So hopefully, you know, this case just
does that what it's supposed to do. But I feel
sorry for his family.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
I feel sorry you know that they want to be
there to support him through this, but having to sit
there and listen to these things about your dad about.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
You know, things that you wouldn't normally hear.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
About your father, like his sexual you know, escapades and
all this.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
That's I don't know. To me, that's been much, and
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
I think I wouldn't ask that if I was Ditty,
I wouldn't ask that out of my children to sit
in there and to support me in that way. I
just think that's the that much. That's my take on it.
You back shri Rellica, and he does have adult sons,

(16:14):
you know, adult children that can be there if he
really does want that family support.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Yeah, yes, no, yes, no, I think so. I agree.
But yeah, so we'll see how this thing plays out
with Diddy. I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
I think this is the case that I do want to,
you know, watch how it plays out. I want to,
you know, literally, I want to hear the defense. I
want to hear all of the details because this is
somebody that was held up to, you know, a certain standard,
and it's just a shame that this is what we're

(16:57):
dealing with now. So I'm going to be tuned in
on this case and watching it. What about y'all, Well,
they see you now, sorry, my lightning is cool.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, it is a bad situation.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
I definitely gotta be so will the end on it.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
It just sucks.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
It's sticked me, but I hope justice is served for everyone.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
And you know what'll study any dark will come to
the light.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
So for sure, well we're gonna see and they're gonna
have memes for days. They already said, did he gray hair?

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Now? Looking crazy? It's probably Russell.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
There in the courtroom, right, It's gonna be the places.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
I said, there's no no cameras in the courtroom right
for this case.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Now they got like drawings people, you know the little
drawings they may Yeah, this this coverage is not no cameras,
no fault nothing.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
It's not even lost.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
No. Yeah, all right, you guys all speaking of you know, celebrities,
you know locked up. Did y'all hear the news in
regard to Tory Lanees Tory Lanes had it was reported
that he was stabbed about fourteen times.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
I saw that. I did not see that. I saw that.
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Okay, I don't know that much about Tory Lanes, but
is he one of those that be claiming a set
me a dang like is he affiliated.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
I never heard him playing playing the game. I don't know,
because I'm just trying to figure out who's gonna come
after him. What he in there doing that he gonna
get He got stabbed to the point where he's been
to him and don't ever want to go.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
So I'm sure it's just, you know, it's it's some
kind of beat for some week. I don't know any details,
but it's not an easy place to be, but that
is touring was down fourteen times, including second little ten
back fourteen tours, so tooted the back of his said
and one to the left side of his faith.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Damn somebody to kill him.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Both of his laws collapsed and he was placed on
the breathing here.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
He is now breathing on his all.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Despite that and pain, he's talking normally, in good spirits
and deeply thankful to die that he's pulling through. He
also wants to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
It's it's so bad.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
It's sad because you don't know why people have, you know, why,
what's their tank their thoughts when you're in a I mean,
with his situation, I don't know, it's like what what
is the reason for them to attack him like that,

(20:10):
We don't know. That's awful if somebody wanted him dead,
like somebody was trying to kill that man fourteen times
his lungs are collapsed, Like that's bad. That means like
they had time. Well, I guess if you're going real fast,
that's crazy. Still listen, I'll get it. I mean tax

(20:32):
team in with the right people and having a little,
a little squat set up in there to protect me
because you never know. I watched all of them jet
I'm not judge, but the jail, the jail, most straight
all TV shows, and I'm into all of that. And
it be the the guards stay the end on it
like it's a whole thing.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Like people be getting paid, they be getting.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Drugs from the guards, like it's all like inner workings,
like situation in them jails and in them prisons. And yeah,
that's one place I don't want to ever be in
because it is not a safe place. Like you need
a t I want to tell y'all my little story

(21:18):
back in my little Hey game. Oh no, ned a
little you know, And it was right around in about
the valley. But I got locked up right because I
was defending my friend fighter. And it carried on like
the fight carried on, like the beef carried on. And
one day no, I was leaving it. So I was

(21:42):
leaving in Columbus, going back to uh court Brag.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
I was stationed. I was just you know, branding with
the military.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
And you know Columbus wee you know how we feel
like we always have to fight, do whatever, run out
of mount do whatever. So I seen the girl. It's crazy.
Actually I want to tell you who it is. Actually
when we get off yeah, off the oh the person,
you know, the sister, the person's system. So I think

(22:10):
I can see her on the highway right and I'm
like this is because she was this is secting my
home and everything, y'all know.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
So we driving next.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
To each other and I pulled up sicky gas and
she follows me off the interstate, the girl to the gas.
They't try to come after Nissa. I had that like
I had to be her ass. Ye're rich, but you
know whatever. Girl I got arrested and I was like,
I'm not to be a.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Child, like I can't do that. I can't do this time.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
I was begging with the guy who who you know,
the process or whatever.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
I was like changing the clothes. They had a.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Dead full of the little the little dropsuits and the
nasty little.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Slip just going to pick one. Listen.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
I was like please, they kept me in the hold
and Sale my mama had to post bail or whatever.
I was like, I would never ever ever get in
any trouble no more.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
That was it. I was like fighting a right, Hell.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
No, yeah, they ain't holding Sale. I got locked up
for uh driving with a suspended license, and yeah, I
was in there for literally five minutes. Like my parents
followed us to the jail and they've tried to hold

(23:35):
me in along, but they're like there it was like
nobody else in there. Then they had no reason to
hold me. So I was literally in there for five minutes.
Like I stood up in this cell like this the
whole time. I was not about to sit down to that.
I was like, I'm gonna make sure I paid my
speed and take me so I don't ever have to
do that for your risk, for them to lock people up. Yeah,

(23:57):
because I used to drive back and forth from to
Speagee to Atlanta all the time, and I that area there, Yeah,
that's right there, and I would get tickets all the time,
so I thought I had paid all of them, and
I guess one of them I didn't.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Pay and they put a worn out for me.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I guess it's a warrant, right, it's a warning for your.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Rest if you yeah, and then it'll come up first
and you go to court.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
You don't go to court, then then you put annch
worn out for yours. Yeah, well that's what had happened.
Child and a police officer. He was such an asshole because.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
He was like he was like, oh, he asked me
could he search my car? And you know I didn't.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
I wasn't like really like I didn't know my rights
for real, but I just knew I was supposed to
say no.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
So when he was like can I search your car?

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I was like no. He was like okay, well why not?
And I was just like, like, what do you need
to search my car for? Like you arrested me for
a ticket, like you know, Like I I didn't know
what to say, but he was getting pissed off, so
he was like, well, I was gonna let your parents
come take your car. They were literally on the way
to take my car. But since I wouldn't let him
search my car. He told my car like all the

(25:11):
way across like super far, like two hours away. Like
I couldn't believe that. Then when I got in the
car in the back seat with my hands, you know, handcuffed,
he would turn. Every time he would turn, he would
like turn extra hert.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
So I was like rolling on. He didn't put my.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Feetbelt on me cause I was like rolling around in
the back seat busting my head on the damn everywhere. So, yeah,
I'm never gonna get arrested again. I've never been.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
I've never been in handcuffs except forerate in the bedroom.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
So that's where they're gonna be, and that's where they're
gonna stay because AIRL do it. You're only a bad
girl in the bedroom. Okay, that's it. Okay, I never same.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
I don't want to. I learned. Yeah, see just from
listening to y'all, that's enough.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
I mean I have, I have. I watched movies. I
watch enough Law and Order. I watched enough of this.

Speaker 2 (26:12):

Speaker 1 (26:33):
They say he's in good You said, well, he's been
good spirits right now. Okay, so that's a good thing.
At least he will. I mean, I don't know if
this will help him that.

Speaker 2 (26:46):

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
