Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, is your favorite sports thunk here.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Don't forget to hit that subscribe button to join the
fastest growing community on YouTube. Remember, Nightcap doesn't happen without you,
so please subscribe or you're gonna make Ocho crime. Jerry
Jones shows the opening training camp by taking a shot
at Michael Parsons Ocho.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Let's take a listen to what Jerry had to say.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Just because we signed him doesn't mean we're going to
have him. He was hurt six games last year. Seriously,
we've signed I remember signing a player for the highest
paid at the position in the league and he got
knocked out two thirds of the year dok Prescott. So
there's a lot of things you can think about when
you just as the player does when you're thinking about

(00:47):
committing and guaranteed money.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
He just can't help himself.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Dallas Cowboys fans, Dallas Cowboy players, this is your head coach.
This is your excuse me, you're the head coach. Hey,
this is the man that he is the head coach. Huh,
this is the man that the show. This is the man.

Speaker 5 (01:09):
Just let you know in short term, how they really
feel about you.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
After all, this is how they really feel about you.
There's nothing like getting taking a dig or taking a
shot at your two star players. Your two star players.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
Oh well, I made one of the highest paid, but
he missed it, miss.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
The season because of injury. We play football. It's a
contact sport. It's a barbaric sports. Sometimes injuries do happen.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I remember he made his I remember he made another
quarterback the highest paid, and he never took a shot
of him and he stayed injury. But that ain't none
of my business. I don't even know why I brought
that up about yo.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
This is who you have to go out there and
play for. This is who you have to go.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Out I want to know if Tony Romo, your owner,
thinks about you. But we know that.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
See the thing is, oh g see I remember in
twenty sixteen when Colin Nipton, Oh, but Jerry loves his players.
Jerry loves people that look like you and I that
can do something for it. Don't you fool yourself? See
the mistake that people make, Oh Jerry.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
No, no no, no no no no no no.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Michael Lown could do things for it. Daz Bryants can
do things for it. Emmitt Smith could do things for it.
Charles Haley could do things for it, Nate Newton, Larry Allen,
I could go on and on and on. Stop fooling yourself. Oh,
out of the kind and so your heart.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Okay, okay, I have a question, and just as for
the Chat, for the people in chat as well, if
you played for the Cowboys organization, how would you feel
as a player understanding that's how the man who runs
the shoe and writes your checks felt about you.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I already know how it feel an I've done my home.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
How does how does that even give you the motivation
even want to play for that man? Outside of the money.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
That's all I'm doing. See what he is upset?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
He's upset at Dak because Dak has always imposed him.
Dak has already always been what it was. You're the owner,
I'm the player. A lot of players get close to Jerry.
Dak has never allowed that to happen. Todd Franz comes in,
does the negotiating hard line boom, I'm up out of here.
That goes about his business. Dak ain't trying to go

(03:35):
to his house. Dak is not trying to go out
and hang out with him. Dak is that Dak does
what he does. Dak now has a family boom their business.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
You see he.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Taking the shot at Michael because Michael wouldn't let him,
wouldn't let him glazing. Oh oh, it's between me and
the player. You never did a deal with just the
player when the player had representation. But you know what's
going to cost you because you let Max crosb get
a new deal, You let Miles Garrett get a new deal.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
You let TJ. Watt get a big new deal. And
guess what.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Michael Parsons is three to four years younger in all
of them, so guess what he's about to do.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Pole vaudem so whatever, TJ.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Why Michael Parson's gonna get a million to two million
dollars more? And don't give me that junk. I play
in Texas? Oh well I do. I know the ain't
no state income tax and I'm glad for that. So
that's forty two forty three million, Uncle Sam, I'm going
to go get thirty six percent of it no state taxes, right.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
And I'm understanding. Obviously.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
I wanted to text Michael, I wanted to call him,
but I was like, you know what, I'm not even
gonna bother him.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Just sad. How you feel? How does that make you feel?

Speaker 1 (04:50):
And I'm just I'm like croud that this is my
only thing.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
My owner thinks about me. Now, what about the time
he missed some games? But I guarantee you there's some
games that he should have missed more because I know
Michael had some issues going on. But that ain't nothing
my business. I don't even know why I brought that
up again. Damn I keep telling people business.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
You know how many times all of us have played
the game of football and went out there anyway? Yeah,
it had to take toward all pills, had to take,
had to take the tod shot just yeah, the.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Marca Yeah, corterfone. Yes, all that shooting up in your
shoulders and then your knees. Not why you shoot my
knees up? I shot my ankles up, shot my shoulders up.
Ribs did all that? O?

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Yo?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Did all that?

Speaker 4 (05:33):
I mean, how do we not how do we not
understand and just have any self awareness where that's the
kind of stuff that you say to yourself.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
What you never say out loud about the players that
are on your team. You don't say stuff like that
out loud.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Had the nerves dead and in my ankles, so I
couldn't feel no pain the whole that that's what nerves do.
They allow you to feel pain and says, okay, hey,
bro back off that I had my nerves, had my
nerves in my because dading, so I couldn't feel paid
so I could go out there and play. And then
to have somebody talk like that, man, please, I'd have
lost it.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I would have lost it.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
You know what's funny is when you think about the owners.
Obviously it's thirty two owners. I think Jerry is the
only one with the cohones to come out and say
how he really feels.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
No one else would do that. That's why would you
what you saw today?

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Nobody else why wouldn't but Jed Jerry.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
See, that's what Jerry wanted to be about him. See,
Jared don't want no superstar because you know why he
want a superstar because he would never take a Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
He would never.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
He couldn't play for Taton Manny because they'd be bigger
than he is and he don't want that to happen. Right,
I've been bad fortune. I played for two owners, mister Bowling.
I did something for his his his family today. Yes,
Sir Joe, it was about us. We were the superstars.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Tell the amount of time, Sharper, I ain't catching no passes, Sharper,
I ain't making no tackles. What the hell?

Speaker 2 (07:04):
I need to be up there and talking and carrying on.
That's what I pay you guys for. I said, you
play us quite well.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
I don't get why Jerry felt to open up training
camp like this.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Everything that comes up doesn't need to come out right,
but Michael or.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
What you're thinking does need to be said.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Every little thought, especially stuff that you know, is gonna
ruffle people's feathers.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Catch me the headlines.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Hell, the only thing that should be catching headlines today
is Cowboys open up training camp and George picking looks
motherfucking good. Excuse my language, sorry, George Pickens look good.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
Day one. That's it.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
That's what that should be the conversation, not what you
said about Dak and what you said about Michael Man.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
JJ Watt took to uh Twitter excuse me X to
defend him. Anytime you can publicly take a dig, get
your star quarterback and your young star pass Russell simultaneously
right before the season begins.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
You gotta just take it. Nothing makes guys want to fight.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
For you more than hearing how upset you are that
they got hurt while fighting for you.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Michael reposted that no discount for you, Jerry.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
M Wait, hold on, hold on?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
What if?

Speaker 5 (08:31):
What if you think, excuse me, what if it even
goes worse? What if Michael says, you know that that's
how you feel about me?

Speaker 6 (08:38):
Trade men't trade?

Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yeah? Then what.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
And the funny thing is funny, I'm just finding out
all about Jerry's ways because I never played for the Cowboys,
and obviously when I was playing, you know, I'm I'm
I'm I'm blind.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
To what's going on over there.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
But you're the one introduce me and told me about
the whole thing with Jimmy Johnson.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Yeah, so that raised my eyebrows.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
But I thought, Okay, maybe that's just okay, maybe that's
just a one off. Maybe they just had a disagreement
and he not really liked that, but they got into it.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
But he thought after three years, he thought, after he
hired eighty nine with Jimmy's first year, that's the year
he took over, he brought the I think bum bright.
I think that's where he brought the Cowboys from. So
he took over him and him and Jimmy and eighty nine.
Constroy was their first draft pick. They won the championship
in four in ninety two, win it again in ninety three,
and again in ninety five, So in four years, so

(09:35):
eighty nine, ninety ninety one, ninety two. So in the
fourth year, he thought he knew more football than Jimmy.
Now see Jimmy will see what Jimmy could do. Jimmy
was coming from college at the you so all these
guys is coming out, Yes, who knew him because he
tried to.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Recruit him after you.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Yeah, see Jerry think because somebody handed him a piece
of paper that they've done all the work for. See,
Jerry's that guy that does I'm no part of the project,
but he gets an eight. You ain't do nothing. You
just happened to own the team. You did nothing. Jimmy,
the scouts, the evaluators, they did.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
All the work. It burned them. It burned them that
Jimmy got the credit.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Everybody gave Jimmy the credit, and he wanted Jimmy to
toast it.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
And that's that's a tough spot to be in for
a player.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
It has to be just to hear that from your
owner has to be a tough spot to be in.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
You know, he's running it.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
It's supposed to be a football team, it's supposed to
be an organization. But you're running it like I'm not
gonna say the T bird. You're running it like.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
The P word.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Oh Joe, as long as you.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
Saw ja, Yes, yes, okay, okay, you see what I'm
more on. Yeah, okay, you're running You're running it like that.
You don't say you don't. You don't say that about
the players that you paying. You don't complain.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Oh, I made the quarterback the highest state because you fucking.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Waited to pay him.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
You waited till the last waited to the last minute.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
You would got Michael Parsons on the fifth year option,
so you waited till the last minute. He said it,
and I used to say this all the time. I
am not going to give you. I would give you
a discount if you signed me with a couple of
years left, because now you're giving me guaranteed money. I'm
not giving you a disk account. If you make me
get to the punctuation. V end No, bro, I got

(11:34):
to get maximum dollar out of you, max value. But see,
here's the thing on Joe. I know who Jerry is,
and as long as they know who Jerry is, they
should never have a problem with it. He applauds to
what you do, not who you are. M it's transactional

(11:55):
to him. You can provide a service, a damn good one.
You're gonna pat you on the back. But if you
think it's anything more than that, you're sadly mistaken. Sadly mistaken.

Speaker 6 (12:08):
Man.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
That's that's I ain't never heard nothing like that.

Speaker 6 (12:12):
Now.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
I know a lot of them think like that. One
thing to think, but to actually say.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Bro, listen, see a lot of times people want to
they'll take what he says about them, But I listen
to what he says about everything else and how he
handles everything else.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
That told me a lot.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Oh you're told are gonna be on the line, your
hand's gonna be over the heart.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
Oh oh oh doing that? Oh yeah, yeah, Okay, I
see what we go over this.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Yeah, I see what I see how you think?

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Yeah, I mean, listen, it's unfortunate you.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
I hate, like I said, I know Michael Little. I
like him a lot, great personality. No, it's represented it,
But I'm gonna be very very disappointed if y'all don't
rake Jerry ass cross the colt, if y'all don't get
at least forty two forty three million dollars, if y'all
don't get if y'all don't get ten million, if y'all
don't get five million more than what TJ Watt got.

(13:15):
TJ got three years, one hundred and forty three million.
He got one hundred and eight guaranteed with one year.
Oh man, y'all better get you one hundred and fifteen
million guarantee under guaranteed. As a matter of fact, Jerry,
since you've been nasty, I want a hundred of it
and signing. I want a hundred up My was than
fifteen and signing.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
As soon as I signed out of line, I'm not
even shaking hand day.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
I'm not happy to be a cowboy, but I'm more
happy than I get to a secure of my family.
This is generational wealth. My family and my dad, my brother. Hey,
we're good now.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
God, that's crazy, dot he really said that out loud.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, but that's oh Joe don't you like that? Don't
you let me know where I'm staying with you? See
so far too many times, far too many times, I
just need to know. See that's the difference between the
South and the North, and it's how there.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
You know they don't like it. They tell you, Yeah,
I don't like.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
You, Bob.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
As opposed to hide.

Speaker 6 (14:26):
Right, Yeah, they tell.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Y'all what he thinks.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Michael actually reported the training camp today despite the contract
stand up. Should know? Should Michael trust Jerry Joe's enough
to report the camp? Yeah, I'm gonna report to camp.
I'm a report to the camp. I don't want to
get no money back. I don't want to, but I
just because they've tried to. That's another thing.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Oh Joe, See see what they put in there?

Speaker 6 (14:57):
Now?

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Hey, there's no forgiveness, though it doubles. I mean what
it started up. Fifteen thousand, thirty thousand, you missed ten,
you missed ten, fifteen days of practice.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
That's over a million dollars that the team can't forget.
Forgive mm hmm.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
But now that you know, you go on there, you
know you play the game.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Hey, I played the game for the.

Speaker 6 (15:24):
Jersey.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
I'm playing on the number, the name on the back
of my jersey. Eft that name on the front, because
that's what you said to me.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
Yeah, basically, basically and not so many words.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, that's crazy, So hey, go do what you do, Michael.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
I hope Michael get twenty five sacks and the fifty
and the forty million. You're gonna pass fifty now fifty, Mili, Michael,
hopefully you get a contract extension.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
What's Michael playing on? What's this fifty option? Twenty what?

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Because he's outside, he's the edge or here a d
N twenty four minutes? Michael, all you do is that
you pay your monthly expenses. Don't you buy nothing, don't
you buy a car, don't you ay tell your mom
and dad say look here, there will be no expenses
going on.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
I'm gonna play my rent. I'm gonna pay X, Y
and Z. I'm just gonna pay monthly expenses. I almost
sit tight because if this, you know what, try to
franchise me.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I'm not coming. I'm not signing no franchise tag. I'm
not signing a franchise tag. Not gonna do it.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
And you think you think you would have played with him.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Yeah, you do realize here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Oh Joe, you didn't do it to me now, so
you've made me run the gauntlet two years in the row? Well,
oh no, bro, I got to hit you over the
head with a heavy hammer. Yes, absolutely, if I'm Michael, Yes,
the price goes The price goes up ten percent every
year that you don't get this done.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
So right now, it's forty two million. You don't pay
me this year. Guess what it is?

Speaker 2 (17:22):
A ten percent increase forty six million, and plus another
ten percent on the sign up on the guaranteed money.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
I don't, I don't. Is he does he purposely? What
is the method? You did it with CD Lamb? You
did it with that? Did d Elliott? Because he's he's.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Thinking they're going to give him a discount. I'm not
giving you a discount when you're making me run to
the last year of the contract.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Oh Joe, I'm not see he thought.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
That would give him a discount, like Wentz and Golf
gave their team's discounts. But those teams, they were first
and second overall pick. They got huge. Their total contract
was guaranteed. They got four they got thirty five million,
they got thirty two million fully guaranteed. I don't know
what that That was the fourth round pick, so I
don't really know what those numbers are. Then three years

(18:16):
into the deal they give a new contract.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
That is what they did with that.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
So, oh, Joe, I've already gotten thirty two thirty three
billion dollars are guaranteed. Plus you come to me early, Okay,
I give you a little discount. I help you, I
help the salary camp.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
Right, understandable.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
I'm not giving you a discount when I'm that low
of a draft pick. My first contract, not first one.
I'm trying to split your dome. Oh yes, absolutely, Now
I might give you one the second one, but that's
my choosing. No, you say, oh, you know, you tell
me that's you know, football business and let football people

(18:57):
do football things. Well, I'm gonna let y'all handle that
salary camp. So my job is not to try to
help y'all manage all salary camp. I'm trying to extract
because I care just about as much as.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Winning as you do.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
Jerry Jones has shown you over the last thirty years
he doesn't care about winning.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
So guess what me either? Do you care about making money?
So do I tight end. Cayle Pitt, Kyle, how you doing?

Speaker 6 (19:26):
Brow you doing?

Speaker 1 (19:28):
It's oh Joe and Joe Ahi so Joe joining us tonight.

Speaker 6 (19:32):
Man, Okay, appreciate you having me on here. How y'all doing.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
I'm gonna get right into it. Michael Pennick Jr. Unprompted,
not from the reporters, not by anybody encouraging, the first
thing out of his mouth. Hey man, y'all saw kp
There's gonna be a lot.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
More of that today. What what? What? What happened today?

Speaker 2 (19:53):
For people that weren't at camp, that didn't get an
opportunity to see what has Michael Pinnis Junior so excited
that he started off his press conference mentioning Kyle Pits.

Speaker 7 (20:08):
Obviously it is day one his first day camp. You know,
the emotions is high. We had a pretty good day
as the offense, just jeling and moving the ball down
the field, and you know, it's a turning. It's always
great to be a safety blanker, for these quarterbacks to
be somebody relies on.

Speaker 6 (20:22):
So for him to have a confidence in me is amazing.
Ghat on't yo no.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
I was going to say, I hope Zach Robinson right
that is officer of coordinator. Yes, yes, sir, listen, I'm
hoping Zach Robinson can get back to putting you well.
Obviously I don't think he was there. He was there
your rookie year, but get you back to doing what
you do best. Understanding what you did at Florida that
you can still do in the NFL. There are so
many mismatches that you can create based on what you're

(20:50):
gonna do in your unique skill set. When we talk
about the tight ends in the NFL Top five, you
were supposed to be an out conversation based.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
On what you could do. After rookie season you had
a thousand yards.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Obviously, due to injury, there have been some minor setbacks,
but this is a year for you to get back
to what you're known for, and that's being a stellar
playmaker regardless of what's around your regards to who's in
front of you. And I'm hoping brother Robinson does everything
you can to put you back in position and make
the plays that I know you can make, because not
only it's gonna help you and Bill your confidence, but

(21:21):
it's gonna make brother Michael Penning Junior also be his
confidence and be that quarterback number one that the Falcons
have been in search of since Mike Ryan's been gone.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Sure, sure, well, now, how difficult is it you have
the outstanding rookie year. As oh Jo mentioned, over a
thousand yards. There hadn't been very many tight ends to
come in as a rookie and get a thousand yards.
Now you get that. So the expectations are through the
roof because you know, you hire a draft pick and
you'll come out like gangbusters.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
And then injuries then quarterback turnover.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
How difficult is it to take stay positive when your
quarterback they're the quarterback carousel and the injury start to mount.

Speaker 7 (22:04):
I mean, obviously everybody has a different path, and I
think mine is pretty unique. Just obviously it be in
my fifth year and it being my fifth quarterback, but
I've learned something from everyone from Matt to Marcus, to
Desmond to Taylor, from Kirk. I mean, everybody brings something
special to the table, and just to learn a lot.
And now this'd be my first year of having someone

(22:25):
from the previous year as a quarterback and you know,
growing the continuity over the summer, working out together, getting
those routes in. It's amazing to see it and you know,
just to grow that relationship with him, just to you know,
work working this time during camp on the way to
game one.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Hey, what's up, run, How you doing?

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Man?

Speaker 6 (22:46):
Chilling, chilling, chilling, chilling.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Uh Man, what's what's your expectations on on the file?

Speaker 6 (22:51):
Because this year on the season, this upcoming season.

Speaker 7 (22:54):
First, I want to go as first expectations because we
takeing it in. We're by progression, you know, just first
a healthy camp, right, get out of it as healthy
and then you know, getting ready for week one and
just trying to stack as many wins as we can
because obviously Atlanta is a hard fan base. It's a
it's a city that is very passionate about their sports
for sure, and just to be able to we want

(23:16):
to get back to you know, having Mercedes been rocking,
which we.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
Have last year.

Speaker 7 (23:20):
But you know we have some different things ups and
bumps in the road, but we hear that. You know,
we're coming together and we all bought in this second
year system, so now you know, we got the opportunity
to take it to the next step.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
Right, Okay, Hey, you heard I want to say, would
it being to say your second year in the system,
how comfortable are you with the offense where you don't
have to think anymore. You can hear the play cold,
you go out there and you can just line up
based in front of me. You can just go without
having to think.

Speaker 7 (23:47):
Yeah, very very confident. And like I said, it's year
or two. We've been working in the summer, just mentally
and physically. So it's just you know, so now we're
hearing camp. We're not taking a step back. We just
now we're just going against the defense and they'll be
passed on next week and you know, going into strong
practice and you know, into the preseason.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
So things like that is big for us. Having played
the position that you played.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
And I don't know if people understand this, but when
you injured, you are a move tight end, lining you
up outside the numbers. They'll put you in motion, they'll
put you in the slot, you'll line up top, they'll
put you in the backfield.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
But when you're injured, it's hard. Man.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
I just want to get Hey, I just want to
get somewhere and just go all this back.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
I can't because I can't do it.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
And if and you know, you know what, like my
body just is not giving me what I want, But
because the fans have seen what you're capable of, they
don't understand that body.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
The mind is willing, but the body just ain't able
right now.

Speaker 7 (24:48):
Yeah, I mean, obviously everyone goes through injuries, some people don't.
But in my specification of having the knee and just
different little small, small things is it's just a testament
of what's going to happen this year. And I'm excited
for what's going to happen and how, you know, we're
growing as an offense and how we're going to take
that next step. So it's so we got some games.
You're going to start Week one with Tampa divisional game,

(25:09):
and you know, go out there and try and get
the first win and just keep building them and you know,
hopefully and win our division and then you know, taking
a step by step from there.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
You know, I have I have one question.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
How much I don't want to call it, don't I
don't want to say power, But most of the time
it's called power to me. You know, when a player
can go to an officer coordinator and go to your
head coach and ask to do more.

Speaker 5 (25:31):
Are you healthy enough? Where is your body back in the.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
State where you can ask coach Robinson, listen, I need
you to put me in a different position to be able
to make plays, because if you put me out here
at a receiver, it's a mismatch.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
You know, if you put me in motion, you know
it's a mismatch.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
Is your body is a knee at a point now
where you can do a multitude of things offensively.

Speaker 5 (25:50):
To open up the play and also for you one.

Speaker 7 (25:52):
Hundred percent and just mentally being able to play faster,
because that's a big thing when you hear the plays,
be able to break the huddle and play fast. So definitely,
you know, being the best asset to this offense is
the goal because it's a bunch of playmakers on this offense,
from you know, Drake, Jean Mooney, Ray Ray, I mean
everybody can you know, we can spread everybody out and
then you know, you go Nickel never running it, you know, Tyler.

(26:13):
So we got the one two punds and just being
able to definitely take that take that load for sure.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Did you hear because of the injury, because of some
lack of production, there was rumor swirling possibly Kyle Pitts
might be on the move.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
How did you stay in the moment.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
How did you like, I'm here right now, if and
when that were to arise that I'm somewhere else, I'll
deal with that then.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
But how did you stay president in the moment?

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Because people say, oh, I don't think it's hard by
you talking about me, you know, unless there's another Cole
Pits I don't know about. But in the meantime you
talking about Cayle me, I'm Kyle Pits, and I hear
all of this going on. How were you able to
stay focused, stay president? And says, you know what, if
it happens, it happens. But in the meantime, I'm here.

Speaker 7 (27:00):
I mean, I'm I'm very much deep in my face
so I know what God is playing for me. But
most important is like, you know, those people have a job,
and fans are fans for a reason.

Speaker 6 (27:10):
They can't do what we do, so they don't really
know me.

Speaker 7 (27:13):
You know, I know the player I am, and I
know the bumps and the bruises and the different things
we had to go through in these past couple of years.
But it's you know, everybody here as their time, and
you know, I feel like my mom is coming.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Oh yeah, Hey, carryall, y'all go ahead, Joe, y'all open
up here in Atlanta against Tampa.

Speaker 6 (27:31):
Yes, sir, man, I come.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
To the game with you, Joe says, Say what's up?

Speaker 6 (27:41):
What you're trying to do? Joe? All right?

Speaker 3 (27:46):
U K.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
You can't come to the game with us.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
That's crazy.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
Hey, Cale, I be there, man, I'm worried about it. Hey, Joe,
I be there. We want we want we in Atlanta.

Speaker 7 (27:59):
Man, y'all heard y'all heard that. Make sure y'all goot
y'all in the house, and y'all y'all good. Everything set
up better?

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Heard that they be rocket? Okay, I ain't gonna line
you up here. Don't heard it be rocket? The food
be banging, I mean, and they got this, Uh you
get what.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Is a hot dog?

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I don't need no glisters, so I gotta come up
with something else. But you get a pretzel, a big
large soda prize and all the food is like except alcohol?

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Is that all you could eat? Like a certain rice?

Speaker 7 (28:25):
We got one of the best owners in the business, mister. Yes, yes,
that's a great man and experid of everybody. And you
know it's a great time. It's only one way to
you know, taste for yourself. You gotta come see it,
you know what I'm Yeah, we had to get him
to the bed.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
You gotta let me ask you this though the preseason.
Con Can I come to a preseason game?

Speaker 6 (28:49):
You won't even you don't even like sitting there with.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Hey, Cale, I got I got a question, right, do
you understand the serious which I've just learned and this
is long after I'm done playing, you understand the seriousness
between the Falcons and the Saints rivalry?

Speaker 6 (29:09):
At first I didn't really if.

Speaker 7 (29:12):
At first I didn't and I and I didn't really
understand that the hatred it's not like a dislike, it's hatred. Yeah,
and it's like that's kind of like Georgia Ros Florida.
You know that young it doesn't matter if you dinged up,
you find a way to get on that field.

Speaker 6 (29:28):
You know.

Speaker 7 (29:28):
That's that's the that's a robbery game. It's gonna be
down to the last, you know, and thanks to the
great team. And I feel like, you know, each year
it's a fight. Mm yeah to be able to go
down and Caesars Domus is loud to you know, especially
when we come into town. So it's like you know,
vice versas when they come up here and they you know,
they're there, their fan base travels heavy, and it's you know,

(29:51):
it's a very competitive game.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Yeah, gole let me ask you this when when you
look at it, where the where you started? And now
you see all these guys they got to make brides
that come in and they got the Hockinsons, and they
got the little porters and they got all these guys,
and don't.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Simulate that what whoa whoa? What? What? What happened to?
What happened to? Y'all? Ain't y'all ain't talking about me
no more? Y'all.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Y'all know I've been that boy. I've been him. I
just been Nick Dunk. So y'all just go look over me.

Speaker 7 (30:18):
That's okay, Look, that's all right, that's all right. You know,
it's not too many people who have perfect careers, you know.
So so you know, when I get back on the map,
other things will do the thing. I gotta do what
I need to do first.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
Stuff.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Right, You said today that you're not paying attention to
any outside noise.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
I don't read that rat poison.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
I don't get on Twitter, and I don't listen to
the box, who can't come out here and not a
degree whether and come and do what I do. Expand
on the rat poison because that was coach sab was
one of his favorite saying that rat Port, you get
a little praise or you get some negativity, and it
festers the kid.

Speaker 7 (30:54):
Yeah, even though I didn't go to Alabama, that was
something that just watching him and I had a couple
buddies go to Alabama, that was something that they would
say that he's big on. So I never really, like
I said, I don't read it because they can't come
out there in the heat of the moment and hear
a play call and game on the line of people screaming.
You can't hear the snap count and go out there
and perform. So it's like, I don't I don't really

(31:15):
value that at all. And you guys know those athletes
they're they're on the sidelines for a reason. They just
you know, they're invest because they've bett Now you know,
like we know it is to go out there, run
across the middle fourth quarter, catch that ball and moved
a stick right right.

Speaker 5 (31:29):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
But Port, I don't know if this is true, but
this is what's being reported that you're being you you.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
They see you more with the receiver group than with
the tight end group. It's I don't know. I ain't
like you said, I can't do what you do. Piss
no more.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I can't come out there and not a degree, not
even with an umbrella and beat rade.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
I can't be out there that heat. Me and heat
don't get along anymore, not no more, no no more.

Speaker 7 (31:59):
But you have your day when it was your two
days you know, love you. We won't have those no more.
We won't have those no more. But yeah, it's gonna be.
It's a plan, uh, following behind coach Morrison. You know
what rahiem and and you know of course z Rob
has definitely put together for me for this camp and
just entering this year. It's big on just you know,

(32:21):
like I said, buying in and you know, trusting what
they have and you know it's it's I would say hybrid,
won't won't, won't say you know, a specific position, definitely
want behind us.

Speaker 6 (32:30):
The more you can do, the better you are.

Speaker 5 (32:33):
I love it. I love it. I listen.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
I'm predicting I can do this. You ain't got to
say nothing. I'm predicting. Thirteen hundreds.

Speaker 5 (32:42):
Man, I'm telling you, I'm telling you, I'm telling what
it's gonna look like this year.

Speaker 6 (32:47):
So what's the so, what's the what's the prize? What?
We'll talk about it after.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
Yeah, just just call me.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I got you.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Depends I'm gonna put you on the spot. I won't
put you on the spot. Give me your top five
tight ends of all time.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
You study position, you played in the position, and keep
it a stack, keep it stack. If I ain't. If
I ain't in the top five, I'm cool with that.
I'm like you said, I would have hald my time
all the time I was in the top five if
I'm not now, but I was.

Speaker 7 (33:16):
No, I never get into specific numbers because you know,
everybody be like, oh, you're missing this person. It's really
just who you kind of model your game after. So
like my idn't no specific order. Would be definitely you,
Tony g Mike Dick, who was the start before I
would say Jason Wenton is someone who I feel like

(33:38):
in high school when I really started learning about the
tight end position, and you know, he wasn't maybe like
the fastest, but he knew how to beat you mentally.
So because I learned that from a Gunny and Lee Smith,
who you know, he may be older, but they they'll
beat to the spot. But uh mmmm yeah, Tony g You,
Mike Dicker, Jason, and I'm gonna have to I'm gonna

(34:00):
have to go give Travis's fowers. He the best doing
it right now, the best doing it was between him
and him and him and Georgia. When they like one,
they wouldn't be right there. They definitely setting the president
for how to play the position and how to win
at that position. It's definitely, you know, love watching them
on film.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Yeah, watching you play you kind of remind me of
myself the speed guy. We did a lot of my
damage outside and then the slot. I ain't really trying
to bang like that, but I had to block a
little bit more than you had. I had the block,
but I think Gates you moved. Gates wasn't that fast man.
Gates knew how to get open his catch touchdown. I'm like,
how does mo Folk getty touchdowns like that?

Speaker 1 (34:37):
But I couldn't.

Speaker 7 (34:37):
Understand Mark and And that's what I'm saying, like, you know,
me putting winning in him the top five.

Speaker 6 (34:42):
I really had Gates see in.

Speaker 7 (34:43):
The top five because that's who really you know him
in LA when he's playing with you know, Dame Thomas
with So that was I really was watching when I
was getting into a Washington you know, different tight ends.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
I was like, man, how they how they score all
the the touchdown? How this man got one hundred and
seventeen hundred and eighteen touchdowns for a tight end.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
That's unheard of.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Y'all will have to get on the ball if y'all
be cause I break it's gonna be that long time.
If somebody don't get on the ball up pits, I'm sorry,
you don't mean nobody gonna get that on the way
they throwing that ball. Now, tight ends don't score like that.
Man that joy.

Speaker 7 (35:18):
I feel like, yes, you had you had you some
games in the red zume where you was, you was hot.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
You had you some straighter games where you ten plus.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Sure, But here's the thing think about he had LT.
I mean he went LT went three years. LT had
sixty nine touchdownsand three years do you so?

Speaker 1 (35:39):
They?

Speaker 6 (35:40):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (35:41):
And so for a tight end, they've only been two
tight ends that have over one hundred TVs in a career.
That's that's a gonzo in Gates. So in one hundred
and one hundred plus year history, one hundred and five
hundred and six year history, they're only two tight ends
to put up those kind of numbers. He unless Hawkinson

(36:01):
and and Laporte and McBride and Kiddle. You get fifth,
you get on the ball. Man, It's hard to go
down there because, like you said, he could, he could score.
I could never. I was a guy that get yards.
I leave the game with one hundred and fifteen hundred
and sixty yards with no touchdowns, and that joker had
like eighty eight yards.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
We touchdown right right, go that way.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
Yeah, you got You gotta think you gotta remember Antonio
Gate's skill set to now they get down to that
goal line, they get him out there wide. Yeah, basketball
background to play man. Listen his ladder movement he moved
in short areas. His releases is like a damn receiver.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
What was his career length? How long did he play on?
I think he played sixteen. I think I think games
has got he got sixteen or seventeen pits. I think
he got sixteen.

Speaker 7 (36:52):
Yeah, I think it was I think it was sixteen.
Because my coach, Tim Brewster was he used to show
me all his tape when I was coming. Yeah, somebody
was in.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
I think he was in.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
I think Brewster was in Denver too, yep, okay, yeah,
he was Wade Harmon there when you got there. Who
is your position coach when you first got there?

Speaker 6 (37:13):
Justin Peel? Okay, justin Peel.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
That name signed for me. I think he played he
played here in the Lima. Okay, okay, okay, yeah, I
thought that name sounded familiar. You're one hundred percent healthy,
You're rare to go, oh Joe. Try to put some
numbers on you. What is health the precursor? Because I
know you. Look, I don't want to put you on
the spot and say, okay, give us a stat total

(37:37):
where you say one hundred and twelve hundred yards and
this health is the precursor and then everything else will
fall in the place after that.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Is that how you're approaching it?

Speaker 6 (37:45):
Not at all?

Speaker 7 (37:45):
Well, you know, once I got back to you know,
last year and in this offseason, feeling great, that's the
last thing in my mind.

Speaker 6 (37:51):
Now.

Speaker 7 (37:51):
It's just like I said, playing fast mentally, physically, being
able to get to my spot, and you know, being
the best answert for Mike. So when I do, when
I do, get my t is the first you know, first,
second down, third down, my way were moving a chain,
We're getting yank. That's that's the big thing.

Speaker 6 (38:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (38:06):
And you know putting that shoulder down across that goal line,
get moa chains, you know, be more valuable.

Speaker 6 (38:12):
For this offense.

Speaker 8 (38:14):
Yeah yeah, you heard that rise up? Yeah yeah, Yes,
it's an experience in that thing. Man, y'all you gotta
go check them Falcons out, baby.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (38:25):
So week one we were there in Tempa.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
And me, do you understand how hard it is, Joe,
Like when you're trying to evaluate like what we do.
We're gonna have to talk about the game. So how
we're gonna talk about the game that we don't watch
your television? If we had the Falcons game.

Speaker 5 (38:39):
I got a phone.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Use the phone.

Speaker 5 (38:41):
You got Twitter NFL games on your phone.

Speaker 4 (38:45):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
See that's the thing though, See so how you how
you watching the Falcons game? If you looking at your phone, we.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
Could just look at the tid bits, look at the tits.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Joe.

Speaker 6 (38:55):
I see where I'm coming from. I see where we're
coming from.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
Nah.

Speaker 5 (38:58):
Nah, he's just trying to get out of going to
the game. What are you doing? You go?

Speaker 6 (39:03):
He goes sneaking in one of these games. One of
the game.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Yeah, I'm about the primetime game. I'm gonna call. I'm
gonna have to call. I'm gonna have to call mister Blank.
I might have to go through the private tunnel, the
secret tunnel.

Speaker 7 (39:14):
Will Yeah, accommodation, Kyle Man.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Thanks for joining us, Man, We appreciate it. Stay healthy.
This is the year.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
You gotta stay healthy because you know what, this is
your fifth year. You know what, the fifth year of me?
What comes after the fifth year?

Speaker 6 (39:32):
They play it?

Speaker 2 (39:33):
Hey, Kittle got nineteen million A you could be the
first twenty million dollar guy.

Speaker 5 (39:39):
Should make it twenty two?

Speaker 6 (39:40):
Hello, I like that. Like that.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
I'm just saying the first got a the first with
the two in front of it.

Speaker 6 (39:46):
For a tight end.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
That made it my whole career. Damn, I might have
to do back out that, Joe and keep your head down.
Keep working, baby, chopping wood. Let's go now, break by
break baby, and congratulations man, continue six minutes, continue success,
Stay healthy, man, and come back and join us after
that first two one of your games, come back and
join us and talk to it, tell us about it.

Speaker 6 (40:07):
I got you. I'm gonna hold you to that, all right,
bet all right, appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Guys, just when you thought Cam and RCBEF was dead,
Gilly the kid hold my beer. Let's take a listen
to what Gilly had to say in response to cam
criticism of Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 9 (40:26):
Today, Cam Newton, I've seen you came at me because
I said Jillen Hurst did.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
What you couldn't do, that was win a super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (40:36):
So you want to get all in your feelings.

Speaker 5 (40:38):
May shut your tight jean wearing ass up.

Speaker 6 (40:40):
Man, you had on a jersey with a bow tie.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
You corny ass.

Speaker 9 (40:46):
Get out of here.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
You will never be able to for jail and hurt
you super goofy, corny answer, get out of here. You
what you do you want?

Speaker 9 (40:58):
N DP won a super Bowl, win a Super Bowl MVP,
and you hate on him because he did what you
couldn't do with a super Bowl anything to two of them.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
So when you hate on him, just know you wasn't
better than him. You talk about can you name one
of my albums?

Speaker 6 (41:17):
You ain't gotta be able to name one of my albums?

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Wrong with you?

Speaker 6 (41:21):
You and my Space? You ain't bigger than me? In
this space.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
You a little ass boy in this space, Your little
ass boy. I could come sign you. Damn damn.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
Hey, First, anybody ever made Gilly besides me? Anybody ever
made Gilly besides me?

Speaker 5 (41:45):
I met him and I know Gilly. We don't play
basketball together.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
He got that energy all the time. Yeah, he took
that person. Let me ask you what what y'all think
about this? O, Joe? Let me let what y'all think
about Gilly.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Camp. We saw, we saw r C's response to Cam.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
We saw Gilly's response to Cam, and we've already are Joe,
you weren't here.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
What's your response? What? I'm gonna start with you first, Joe, Joe,
what do you what's your what's your take on Gilly's.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
Response to Cam? I just thought it was too person
of a shot. Because we can talk trash back and forth.
You know, it could be a good sparring session. But
I just think when he gets personal, bro, I think
it kind of draws a line, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (42:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Like so, so, I don't know if he took it
personal when Cam said something about him dropping an album,
and I think it just kind of no holds bars.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
He just he just went he he wouldn't preserve after that. Yeah,
what you think, O Joe.

Speaker 5 (42:46):
Listen, you got to understand that culture already.

Speaker 6 (42:48):
Know what time it is. You know.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
Dad needs to die. You say the wrong thing, I'm
gonna say the wrong thing. You say the right I'm
gonna say the right thing. Respect is arned, it is
not given. Therefore, when you take shots, you have to
be you expect the other individuals.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
I'm coming back, something is coming back.

Speaker 5 (43:04):
That's the space that we live in.

Speaker 6 (43:05):
Cam.

Speaker 5 (43:06):
He's not gonna back down.

Speaker 6 (43:07):
Gilly.

Speaker 4 (43:07):
We've known Gilly for a very long time, and what
he does, he's not gonna back down. You say something,
he's gonna say something back. You say something to Cam,
he gonna say something back.

Speaker 6 (43:14):
Bryan.

Speaker 5 (43:15):
Probably Bryan, I'm sure probably at some point he's gonna respond.

Speaker 4 (43:19):
I'm assuming so, or maybe not, because I'm assuming Ryan
and and Cam will probably have to see each other
at some point, you know, on ESPN.

Speaker 5 (43:26):
But but still, that is that is that, That's just
one topic. It won't cause any feud in the work
environment other than that. Listen, it's entertainment. At the end
of the day.

Speaker 4 (43:35):
Nothing will probably happen outside of those mics and in
that space of podcasting. So I think, listen, it's a
good Jabin war. It's like, it's a good Jabin war.
May may May the best man win in that situation.

Speaker 6 (43:48):
Yeah, I agree with I agree with both of you guys.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
I hate when it gets personal, you know, I hate
when Cam You know, Cam was a quarterback. Obviously, his
influence it's going to be different than any other player
on the field, regardless where around was drafted, regardless of
how many Pro bos. There's not any quarterback that's worth
anything's gonna have more value basically than anybody else. Cam
was an MVP, Cam was a multiple time Pro Bowl player.

(44:16):
Yet Cam won the Heisman. Camp up, his accolades speak
for themselves. We don't know, we don't need to go
off to list them. And for me, if Cam had
just stuck like, look, this is what I'm saying. It's
hard for me to evaluate Jalen Hurts when he has
so much talent around.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
I'm not saying that.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
He's not talented, but it's easier for me to evaluate
someone when they don't have as much talent, where they
don't just have to turn around and hand the ball
off and have saquad hit his head on the goal
post from eighty or he has a or he has
you know these two receivers that's Pro Bowl receivers, or

(44:55):
an offensive line that's as good as that's ever been
a symbol, Right, keep Ryan's accolades out of it. Ryan,
keep Cam whether he did or did not jump on
that football. Okay, we know that. We know Cam didn't

(45:16):
jump on the football, and he said it. If he
could go back and do anything different in his playing career,
that's the one thing that he would have done. So
if you want to evaluate a player, evaluate the player says.
This is why, this is why everybody's not gonna like
your opinion, right because if you try, you can try

(45:40):
to pease everybody, oh cho, Yeah, and the one person
that's gonna be very disappointed and upset as you, Because
when you try to pease everybody, the only person that's
hurting and disappointed as you.

Speaker 5 (45:52):
Yeah, you can't. You can't please everybody.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
You can't or should you attempt to.

Speaker 6 (45:56):
No?

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Hell, No, Geary, look, Gilly, my guy.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
I love Gilly. I love Waller Wallow. You know I
talk to them brothers and they good people, they really are.
Gilly take things like to the Eagles, like and I've
been I've been in a very similar situation one time before,
and uh, it's probably one of the times that I

(46:21):
regret something that you know, you you somebody says something
about a team or a player that you like, and
then you take it personal, you take personal shots at them,
and then you know you have to realize, Okay.

Speaker 1 (46:33):
That man is entitled to his opinion, right, that's his opinion.

Speaker 2 (46:37):
Just because you feel passionate about this as a pro
and he feels passionate about this as a negative, it
doesn't make you more right than him.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
It doesn't make him more right than you. That's his opinion.
I agree with you, Joe.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
I think when when cav like, well, hey, bro, I
can't name not one of your albums.

Speaker 6 (46:57):
I think that's why all gloves went out for Gilly, like, well.

Speaker 5 (47:00):
Bro, who whoa whoa who whoa whoa?

Speaker 2 (47:02):
Right, That's why he said you're not bigger than me
and this right, right, And that's when they started to
get real personally.

Speaker 6 (47:10):
You could tell yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I hate that.
But we know it's gonna be it's gonna be some
back and forth.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Man.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
Jalen hursts is a very polarizing figure because it's not like,
you know, every other year, I mean, think about it,
we had.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Doug Williams.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
Yeah, then we had a big low, so we got
eighty seven, and then we had to go all the
way to twenty twelve before we got another So we
had to go almost three decades before we got another
black to win the Super Bowl. Yeah at the quarterback.
And then we got Mahomes and now we got Jalen Hurst.
So it's not like it's just littered and so now

(47:57):
it's like, you know, and I think maybe our see
and maybe Gilly feel like many be they being unfairly
criticized because excuse me when when when Tom won his
first who bo, they applauded it.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
And he threw for a buck forty two. Yeah, but
we're trying to find ways.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
But that's I mean, when you're an analyst, when you
know your job is a critique and analyze. The only
thing I will say about this, and this is what
I always never went to journalism school. I didn't go
to Syracuse, I didn't go to Missouri. I didn't go
to any one of these fancy journalism school This is
what I do know never become a part of the story.
You see now, Cam Ryan are part of the Jalen

(48:45):
Hurt story. This should be about Jalen Hurts. Yeah, but
they've become a part of the story. You stay away
from the story. You talk about it, you critique, you analyze,
but you don't become a part of it.

Speaker 5 (48:59):
But the critiquing and the analyzation is why they're part
of the jail and her story.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
No, no, you can do that. But see now we're
not talking about them.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
We're talking about what cam RC going back and forth,
Cam and give it the kid, going back and forth.

Speaker 4 (49:13):
Right, Okay, they're gonna squash that. That that that ain't
that ain't nothing that that's all that's all talked.

Speaker 5 (49:20):
They're gonna squash it.

Speaker 4 (49:22):
Uh, it's not going anywhere outside of the space in
which we're doing right now.

Speaker 6 (49:26):
And that that's
