Let's go to a game.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Buddy Hill and Javirant was warned by the NBA about
the end of the finger guns. But but again tonight,
y'all hit the game winner?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Man, you know who he beat, beat the heat Joe.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
If you could, if you look as a veteran player
seventeen eighteen years in this league, if you had an
opportunity to sit down with Jah and impart some wisdom
upon him, what would you tell him? I tell him, uh, joh, come, come,
come spend some time with me. Come getting this hot
yoga room, and we're gonna zap all that little energy
(03:25):
up out of you, and it ain't gonna beat none
of them. Man, he ain't gonna be fired no more
than guys.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
We're gonna we're gonna get you, right.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
But I think that's kind of what the NBA is lacking, honestly,
that veteran presence that can help these young guys, because
nowadays you got guys getting drafted and they go on
to teams, and and and Jah is.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
The guy who they looking up joab.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
He twenty three, twenty four, And these are the guys
who you know, your young guys are looking up to him,
immolating and want to be like So, I think you
gotta have older guys in there, man, who can really
teach these dudes or rope show him how to be
pros on and off the floor.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
Yes, yeah, hey, Joe, do you think, obviously you think
about players like that that are young, like a job
and some of the other players that around the league,
do you think trying to tone down some of the
some of the mannerisms, some of the extracurricular activity and
things they like to do on the court, do you
think that it will take away from their game and
what makes them them being that he's so young and
(04:21):
he can resonate with with the rest of the youth.
You think they'll take away some of that some of
that that that what makes Joah Joah in general.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, No, I love it.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I know they probably gonna try to ban some of
the stuff, but I love the antiques and the celebrations
and things that. I think that's kind of what makes
the game. That's what fans love to see. It's just
like in football when when guys sc they love to
see the dancing and teams come together, the good camaraderie
of teams, and fans enjoy watching that. You know, they
don't want to just see a boring game. They want
(04:51):
to see the excitement that comes with it. So I
hope they don't eliminate or give technical fouls for all excessiveness.
H some of it's kind of warranted. But man, I
ain't gonna lie ojo some of this stuff he'll kind
of getting out of hand.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Man.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I watched a lot of AU basketball. I got an
AAU program myself. Man, these kids as soon as they
hit one shot, they shooting at your head.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
They're talking about they spread the whole building down her joke.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Hey, hey, man, listen, they shooting up the whole jim uh.
I love to see the fire in them and the
competitive nature that comes with it. But some of the antis, Yeah,
they start fights. Bro, they started fighting. They playing Yeah,
O Joe, what do the younger people see? Because think
about it, all these kids not do. All they do
(05:42):
now is shoot threes. They saw Steph got three seven
years old. They launched it. The same thing with the NFL.
Whatever they see the NFL, they see the gritty, they see, hey,
oh Joe, remember they outlawed the throat slash. You had
kick kids of the hot young kids throat slashing.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
So that's the same at these kids they want to
emulate that. They want to be that.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
And so the NFL and these sports leagues said, nah,
we don't we you know, we ain't trying to set
that president.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
We want you to have fun.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
And I get it to a certain certain extent, but
sometimes I think the players do go overboard. I think
they got a responsibility because these young kids look up
to them. You you you selling shoes, you selling merch,
you selling things. You say, Hey, I want you to
I want you to support me. I want you to
be blame blah, blah blah. But then when we do that, now,
don't do that.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Nah.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Them kids be bought all the way in everything you do,
everything you wear, how you talk, what you do.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
They follow that. Yeah, and job and Joe's polarizing man.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
He ultimately could have been or could be the postal
boyd the NBA, and kids gravitate toward that, like I'm saying, shoes,
his clothes, how you wear his hair, like, man, I
see these kids now with their dread, with their dreads
back up in a little only tails John black Man
listening people.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
They think, they think they jive. And because he the same.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
The reason why they like Steph because you see Steph
like damn Steph like a regular man. Steph sixth two,
been Steph y'all sixth too. I can't be lebron man.
I ain't finna be no six nine. I ain't finna
be no shock, I ain't finna be no yokic. But
I can beat y'all. I can really grow up to
be six two. I could be Steph Curry. So that's
(07:22):
why a lot of time people gravitate towards the smaller
guys because they see themselves. I could be that That's
why Jordan and Kobe, the smaller guys, they seem to resonate.
Ain't nobody said, man, I want to be shocked. I
want to be Jokic. I want to be Kareem. Why
you think, don't nobody to throw the sky hook? The
most unstoppable shot that's ever been created. It ain't nobody
basically threw it since he threw it.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Hey, Hey, and.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
You got all these trainers out here taking these kids
through drills on nobody teaching.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Them how to shoot no sky hook man over that
left shoulder. Hey, they ain't teaching that. They teaching that.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
That tween twin side step high, yep, catch yet Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
It is.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Yeah, you uncle Joe, I think I like it. I
understand exactly where y'all coming from. But when you got
players like Anthony Vers, players like Jamaran, I mean, Steph
is a little different, just the way he carries himself.
And you look at the individual's background and the image
that they try to portray, there's a reason why they're special.
When they play the game of basketball. There's a certain
way that they carry themselves. There's a certain group that
(08:26):
they try to emulate, or a certain a certain certain
cachet and way that they carry themselves and they want
to keep that same, that same that or when they
play the game of play the game of basketball. And
all I was saying is there's some things you can
eliminate that they do in game. I just don't want
to take too much away from them that makes them
(08:48):
who they are. There's a certain infactor with Anthony Avers
and the Jamaran that makes them who they are. And
I think if you take too much and try to
tone them down too much, it takes away from their
game in general and what they bring.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
I agree, and it's gonna kind of doll it down
a little bit and make it but less watchable. I mean,
they say the game, they say the basketball game has
been struggling, but you know, our stars have been performing.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
We just got to keep him on the floor.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
And you remember, think about it with who do the
kids love the guy that the guy that had a
bigger No, I don't. It's hard to say somebody had
a bigger impact than Alan Iverson. Alan I was the
first one to start wearing the sleeve all well, not
damn near everybody were to sleep.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Alan Iverson.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
You couldn't go to the store and buy a five
x T shirt cause he had up bottle ball. He
did wasn't he wasn't about if you couldn't find no
forty jeans because he had him on his head. People
the one to They trained the dress code because of him, because.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
He was man. He look, you ain't like you ain't lie.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I had near a few of them polities too.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
But boy, look, I remember when the league changed the
dress code.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Man.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Look, we used to come to the plane and sweats
flip flops, and it took all that way.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
You had to come on that suited and booted.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
I was like, oh my god, hey guys short of Hey, Joe,
you remember that cameboard do that couple doue rags?
Speaker 2 (10:05):
They had the due rags on the tall teeth.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
I was like David starting, heyya, all these corporate sponsors,
all this money we spent it, y'all fin to clean
this issue up?
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Right, hey, stern one going he he got everybody.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Hey, I saw Tim Duncan come pick his MVP trophy
l with with flip flops in short so hey, hey,
I remember those days, bro, I remember those days, those
good times.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Man. And he kind of went, he kind of got
back to that. Yeah, you got all the guys are
not coming. They used to.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
There was a time that you know, suit suit suit,
but you know, you see guys still coming with some sweat.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
A man.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
A man said, look here, I ain't wear I ain't
spending no money on it. Hey, I get all this
free gear or I'm aware it.
Speaker 7 (10:50):
Yeah, I'm aware, and you do it.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
After the game, kill wear a pigeon.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
On national television, Taylor Rooks asked, John, tell me everything
that last podestion possession. John, say a pigeon was guarding me.
Go get a bucket to win the game. Hey, Jay, John,
John got a ship. Kill whatever, my guy. He's from
the crib, he's from lot right. Hey, we ain't gonna
act like they don't act like that. Hey, it was
(11:16):
a great shot caller him, played great defense. It was
a great shot. He made a tough shot. Man, get
it back. But I'll tell you what I'm gonna tell
you what I think happened in that game. Uh, the
little guard was testing him and impressing him so much.
The loot Donovan hid. Yeah, it kind of turned John
to the point where he was trying to make a
point and uh, he kind of turned there on the
(11:37):
kind of got it, got it, got it going, you
know what I mean, yecause he definitely got to go
into the second half.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
He got to go on to the second half. He
turned and because yeah, he turned.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Yeah, because he said they was bored me and kind
of got to him because I think he had like
twenty seven points in the second half, and obviously he'll
hit the game winner.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
So that was exciting.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
The Bucks are coming up and win against Tuesday, in
which they shot sixty nine percent from the field, which
was the highest in an NBA game since nineteen ninety eight,
and the fifty eight and fifty almost fifty nine percent
from the three port rage? Is there anybody, honestly, Joe,
is there anybody really? As well as Yonnis has played,
Cleveland has been the best team in the East record wise,
(12:16):
But is there anybody in the East that can challenge Boston?
Speaker 2 (12:26):
No? No, But I'll tell you what.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
To start the season, I had the Bucks making some noise.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Man.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
I know it's been unfortunate, you know, with Dang going out,
you know, with calf injury, the blood clock things and
uh man, we can't expect these type of numbers from
Yannis every night, man, right right, man, he played out
his mind tonight and the mother guys around him stepped up.
They had to step up and make plays.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Man.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
I mean it's since winning, oh man. And Harr's just
like he did everything. You know in the postseason. They
don't let you get up and down. And Yas is
like he likes to get up and down. He sees
a crack. Yeah, hey, he hey, y'all is like a road.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
He still crack. He gonna slide through it and no
get away from you. So you can't every time in.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
The playoffs boxing nailbows. Baby, you're gonna have to pass
that thing. Them boys gonna make. If them boys gonna
make eight nine threes together. Okay, we that, But you
think you finna get to this rim and have a
dunk fence all night that we are not doing. You know,
when somebody has twenty assists, there are a lot of
shots being made, man, a lot of shots being made. Yeah,
(13:31):
it was, and I think everybody chipped in the night.
They had a bunch of guys in double figures who
made who made quite a few threes.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
So obviously Jianna's had it going.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
If he had thirty five points twenty assists and how
many rebounds? We probably had about seven rebounds. Hey, oh Joe,
them two k number right there, baby.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah, it is a matter of fact.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
I'm gonna go back to something you just said earlier,
right real quick, and it just dawned on me. You said,
out the East, there's no threat for the Celtics at all. Well,
if there's no threat for the Celtics basically saying they
going back to the NBA finals basically yeah, okay, Well
if they going back to then in the finals, who
do you see them facing out the West?
Speaker 7 (14:09):
And do they even have a threat out the West,
let alone forget the East.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Yeah, they got a thread out in the West. Yeah,
they got a threat.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
I like I like okc bro, I like okayc uh,
not only because they got shape, but because all them
other dudes around them. They know they role and they defend. Man,
they defend. They sit down, they sit in their chair
and play defense. And in the playoffs, that's what it's
gonna come down to. And what they're the youngest team
in the NBA.
Speaker 7 (14:38):
For you, they are they are man, They.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Finna he They gonna be getting up and down all night.
They gonna average probably forty two minutes a game in
the playoffs, right out of a forty eight minute ball, and.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
He probably bareently gonna stay down. They ain't gonna do
nothing unless unless unless they unless.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
They blowing them out, and you know, you try to
blow somebody, you know, try to get some rest like that.
But other than that, Yeah, your best players play the
MVP race. Coming down to the wild Sga is on
play pace to win his first scoring title. Right now,
he's at thirty two point nine points a game. The
Thunder record sixty four to twelve to have an outside
chance to become the third team to win seventy games
in the season. Okay season Okay needs to win out
(15:15):
to join the ninety five ninety six Bulls in the
twenty fifteen to sixteen Warriors as the only teams in
NBA history to win seventy or more games in the
regular season. Meanwhile, Nikola Loki Jokic, they just called him
yok if attempted to be make Hentrey becoming the third
player to yeah, the third player to win four MVPs
in a five year span, joining Lebron twenty eight to
(15:36):
twenty twelve. He won for Bill Russell sixty one through
sixty five. Unfortunately, Yoki is not gonna win the MVP.
Just like the first got to average a triple double,
Oscar Robinson didn't win the MVP in that sixty one
to sixty two season. Yokis just averaging twenty nine points,
seven points a game, twelve point eight rebounds a game,
(15:57):
ten point two assists the game, and he shot fifty
four percent from the field and forty two percent from
the three. And unfortunately, Joe, he's not going to the MVP. Man,
that dude is balling out of control. But I'm gonna
be honest with you. I love washing him play. I
love how he plays at his own pace, and he
(16:19):
make guys around him better too. He's a willing passer,
which makes him harder the guard because you know, if
you double team, he's gonna give it right up and
them dude's making shots around him. But to be honest,
my pick would be Shade too. I enjoy watching Shade.
I love his poison patience, you know, throughout the game.
And like I say, defensively, he's always gonna be tops
(16:40):
and steals. He sits down, he sits down and play
defense as well. So I love both players, man, but
if I.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Had a vote, mine would probably be Shaffy. You know
what's gonna happen. It's gonna be the same situation.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
Like we go back, Joe and being a student of
the game, you go back and look at that sixty
one sixty two season, Bill Russell way the MVP. But
that was the year that Will average fifteen twenty five.
That was the first year Oscar had a thirty point
triple double. Jared West average thirty, Elgin Baylor was was
thirty and eighteen.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Call it.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
You go back and look at that was the great statistically,
that was the greatest offensive season on record. Go back
and look at those guys and look at the numbers.
You're like, hold on and when you hear like will average,
But how much did he average?
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Or will average fifteen to twenty five? No MVP?
Speaker 3 (17:30):
Oscar thirty point three average, hold up fifteen twenty five
and he didn't win the MVP. Bill Russell won the
MVP that season, but Jared West was like thirty six
and eight.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Who else.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Who's Elgin Baylor elgend Baylor average walked Elgin Baylor average
like twenty seven and eighteen. Walt Bellamy average. I mean
the numbers were crazy. You're gonna look at the top five,
the top six guys and the mv P race and
probably any other year they win it.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
But Russell w it that year.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
And I think we're gonna go back fift twenty five,
thirty years from now, we're gonna look, they're gonna pull
up the Coola Yoki's numbers and the ain't gonna say,
ain't no where hell if he didn't win the MVP,
who did right? Right, Because that's the conversation we're having now.
Like you said, hold on, we'll average fifty and twenty
five and didn't win the n v P. No, uh,
(18:29):
Boston Bill Russell. That must have been putting belt the ass.
They did well, they won't they won any great titles.
So yeah, they put they they told every they would
tear it everybody and did. We'll say, y'all, y'all, y'all
would playing with me. Then he came back at average
forty four and twenty seven the next year, just to
let y'all know it. What wasn't the fluke? Oh Joe, Yeah, Joe,
(18:53):
I remember we talked about this a couple of years.
Last year, O Joe is that Mello was feeling in
some type of way, He said, because they gave the
fifteen to Jokic. And I'm saying, and I said, Joe,
bro they took this man in the second round and
when he got drafted, they were doing a taco bell commercial.
They had no idea he was gonna turn out to
(19:13):
be this because that they had that. He just asked,
in the first round, you don't run the risk of
this is a transcendent player and taking him in the
second round if you think you're gonna do anything. But unfortunately,
they're not gonna remember Carl Melo Ward at fifteen.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
That number belongs to Nikola Jokic.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
I mean it shouldn't.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Listen, I get as great as Nicole's playing right now.
Hold on, I'm you not eracing for Carmolo did in
that that man got.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
Three MVPs in the finals MVP. I tell you what.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
Joe who wore thirty four, who won thirty four in
Milwaukee before Johanni's.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Ray Allen, do you remember the thirty four? Oh, Joe
exactly exactly.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Okay, hey, hey he was a bad yes going yes, yes,
but you look at what Joannis is doing.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Right, yeah, yeah, and yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
And that's what I don't like about us. Sometimes sometimes
we become a prison or prisoner of the moment and
we forget what those before us actually did. You know,
And I listen, I understand. I love what Joker is doing.
I love it. But we talked about the other fifteen
We talked about that. We talk about mister miss.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Ojo, mister mister put the shows.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Est I get all that, I get all that in
ten years, ain't nobody gonna remember that, just like you
don't remember ray allen Ward thirty four in Milwaukee because
of what Yannis is doing.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Do you realize what? Oh Yo?
Speaker 3 (20:42):
I don't think you realized what this man is doing?
Having Joe Yo laid in eighteen nineteen years. You know,
I studied the game. I've been following this game since
seventy seven, seventy eight, and I know a lot of
the history what Yo Kischen is doing.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
I'm sorry, Ojo. Yeah. Hey, So do y'all think that
y'all think the big man gonna ever come back? No?
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Yeah, man, you know you talk about the big No,
you gotta be you gotta be like a yo ki,
you gotta be you gotta be one of those big
you talk about the big that just running head down
to the block and play with his back to the basket.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Oh hell no, yeah, call and call the game. The
game is showing.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
Hey, but I'm saying, you know, once once in a while,
you know, every error, we get a guy who come in.
He made you know, he built a little different from
everybody else. I think, if you can dominate, you know,
you know, be the size of a seven footer who
just unguardable down there, it'll come back. But now they
don't try to take no more, Like, don't those guys
work on their post game for real? They all doing
(21:47):
picking pop shooting three from different spots, so the game
is totally different.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
They don't even raise him like that no more.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Think about it. Look at Zach Edy, Man, you saw
Zach Edy trading. He's shooting three. He's seven folk. Look,
ain't with me withiby seven four and a half? It's
self five with you? Yeah, and he ain't playing with
his back to the basket. It's over, Joe, it's over.
If you gotta got self fired and he ain't playing
with his back to the basket.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Hey, the game is change. I like me. He's ah,
he's a he's a freaking nagent.
Speaker 7 (22:28):
Go ahead, go ahead by Luke.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Both his girlfriends sat next to each other. Yes, I
during the game.
Speaker 7 (22:35):
Oh yeah, Hey, that's lie.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
That's lie. You're doing that you sitting you sitting two together?
Who oh? I mean?
Speaker 7 (22:41):
I mean I would?
Speaker 2 (22:42):
I would, you know I would.
Speaker 5 (22:45):
And if if I was, if I was in my day,
you know, and if I was still playing like that,
you know I would. All of this is conversation and
being honest and telling the truth because when you when
you're bringing in that that kind of money as an
NBA player, you know you you will have those that
will play like that and have a great understanding not
being that I'm over the hill now, you know, and
I'm I'm I'm I'm working and I'm an instruction environment.
Speaker 7 (23:07):
You know, I can't. I can't move like that no more.
But as I see fit during that time, would I
be able to do it? Absolutely? What I have to
women that would be willing to do it? Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (23:20):
You know?
Speaker 5 (23:20):
And then you add you add you factor in the
NBA revenue and salary that you're bringing in.
Speaker 7 (23:26):
How many women would decline that?
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Not very many?
Speaker 7 (23:30):
And he he ain't just have just no anybody sitting
next to each other.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
These ain't just no scragglers now. Yeah, but we talked
about it. We talked about a how we talk about tens?
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Yeah, what you mean? What would you do it?
Speaker 7 (23:47):
Can you pull it off?
Speaker 2 (23:48):
I can't pull it off? No, I ain't never I
ain't never been that uh that bold. Nah, I never been.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
I've never been no fabio old Lazari Lizario. I've never
been one of those guys that that could could do that.
Speaker 7 (24:06):
Wait, hold on, wh whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa
time out of time out? Now, you don't play the
field for a long time. I don't mean to get
in your personal business now. If you can have two
women sit courtside, now, I understand you wouldn't do it publicly,
So I don't mean to be in personal business. Yes,
I'm nosy. So you ain't never had two women before
in general? Or you just are you? You got to
(24:26):
be locked in with one?
Speaker 3 (24:28):
I mean, oh, youore to have like talk to me.
I had taken women come to a game. Yeah, but
I wouldn't date nobody.
Speaker 7 (24:38):
Okay, I see, I see you're going with I like
that I like it. Did they sit together?
Speaker 6 (24:41):
Now?
Speaker 7 (24:43):
Okay, okay, so it's okay, So you hadn't So you
hadn't it.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Yeah, I wouldn't. Did you know? There wasn't no situation.
I didn't want no. I didn't want no, you know.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
And I was like, you know what, just my luck
somebody somebody, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, Now I'm dumb.
Speaker 7 (24:59):
You got you got to be able to talk to
him and and and have a great understanding.
Speaker 5 (25:03):
Because if you tell the youth to the beginning and
give them my option whether to stay or go, nine
times out of ten, they're gonna stay anyway and be
accepting of the fact that you you told the truth.
I'm just I'm just telling you. I ain't tell you
what I heard. I'm telling you what.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
I believe you. Oh, I believe you, But I ain't.
Speaker 7 (25:21):
That ain't me no more.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Now you know what game I would take him to?
What what I ain't playing about?
Speaker 6 (25:28):
Now?
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Where can I Where can I take him that we're
gonna go and go?
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Wow?
Speaker 7 (25:33):
Let me let me tell you something. We have a
tour that starts in what June? Right, you can have
too right there at the show in the front row.
Speaker 2 (25:41):

Speaker 3 (25:44):

be at the show, Yeah, okay, okay, Mama coming for real?
Oh mm hmm, Let my mama.
Speaker 2 (26:03):

Speaker 7 (26:03):
I'm excited. Can you give me one guess? Can you
tell me one guest?
Speaker 1 (26:06):
No?
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Not yet?
Speaker 3 (26:08):
No, No, I'm not bringing my mom. Plus it's gonna
be too late. My mom being the bad sleep.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
Mama. Oh mama, mama, Mama, ate my mama eighty two. Okay.
Speaker 5 (26:21):

starting to come to me as I think about just
the scenario and having two women at a game, and
you know, with your experience and people in the chat
that have been in relationships.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Just in generally, I ain't be with no damn two
women at once.
Speaker 7 (29:32):
Oh you have?
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Hell? Now, I wouldn't even. I wouldn't even. I wouldn't even.
I wouldn't even chance it. Now you couldn't pay me enough?
That ain't nothing. But that ain't nothing, but the loss

Speaker 7 (30:12):
You ain't never had one mess with you up north,
another wild mess with you down south.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
It's me and her, that's it. That's all I got
for you anyway. Listen.
Speaker 7 (30:23):
But I'm just telling you.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
I'm telling you this back in my day, this is
back in college days. I ain't done none of this,
none of this. I'm told I'm tool for all that time.
But I was trying to get back to the point
about lou Will and having two women of the game
and understand how smooth and how much patience he has
to have as a man.
Speaker 7 (30:39):
Fellas.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
This is for you and the chat as well. You
know how difficult it is dealing with one woman. Oh Joe, Hey, honey,
what do you want to eat?
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Two? All you do is cutting the time and half
I ain't got before. I ain't got before. Good minutes
out of two. Now you're mad. Now you the group
chat you was talking about you, I'm in there. So
that's all I got for you. You got two minutes

being with it, ain't it.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Ain't that.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
That ain't my thing. Like I said, I've had people
like oh and hey, No, I don't I'm good. I
don't want any of that. I don't want any of that.
I'm telling you at this juncture, it is a lawsuit.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Leave it alone. I'm not talking about this juncture.
Speaker 7 (31:44):
That's that's why, that's why I spoken in past.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Yeah, in past, Yeah, I mean I told you nothing
that I told you.
Speaker 3 (31:51):
I got spade. I got two of the possible. With two,
I ain't got noe of the possible. It's noumble the possible.
I ain't even got it too.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
It's a post. I got to hate the diamond, but

d R now you never. You can't never say never never, okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Man from me.
Speaker 3 (32:26):
By I mean, look, I might be the central figure
in my family. Talk to me, but I'm the least important.
If you didn't understand that. Yeah, mom My, sister, my brother,
my kids are everything, everything, everything. So for me, whatever
(32:53):
whatever escap escapade or experience that I haven't.
Speaker 7 (32:58):
Gotten right, you ain't get it in that. I'm good, Yes, sir,
I listen.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
I'm with you when you're right. I'm with you when
you're right. But I'm gonna tell you one thing. It's
a roller coaster, boy. Yeah, it's a roller coaster.
Speaker 7 (33:11):
Yes it is.
Speaker 5 (33:12):
I'll never forget first time nineteen ninety six. Had three
of them, No, hey, had three of them, had me
changed to the bed. I'm gonna tell you where I
was at.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Change.
Speaker 7 (33:25):
Yeah, yeah, change, But they well, I don't, I don't play.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Listen to me.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell your story. I
ain't told the story. I ain't told nobody except my homeboys.
At the in Miami nineteen ninety six, I skipped school.
They picked me up, took me to the Executive Palace
in Uncle Chobe. If you're in the chatty for Miami,
you know about the Executive Palace. They had me chained
to the bed. I ain't a bondage, you know, unbelievable experience.
(33:53):
I don't want to get too in depth with it.
I don't want to accept. I don't want to upset
you know, you know my people.
Speaker 7 (33:59):
You know what baby you know? Yeah, I don't know.
I know she, I know she watched it.
Speaker 5 (34:03):
I don't want to you know, but hey, it's a
roller coaster. But you hear me, it's an experience like
no other.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
I don't got the stomach no more for what roller coasters?
You know how good? O Joe? You know what I'm saying, Hey,
let me get on these sparks. Let somebody, let somebody
in it. The possible.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
No, no, it ain't gonna be no to it, the
possible if you add the sparks to the if you
already add the sparks to it.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
I already know. Hey, I got too, cause I got
I got both the jokers. I won't give you too.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
I got both jokers, big joke, a little joker, the
one on the bicycle and the one that's not on
the bicycle. If you play cards, you know what I'm
talking about. The bicycle car. I got the big joke,
a little joker. Yes, sir, Now, I want y'all to
know I got a king of another suit. It's not
a spade. I can't I can't be certain that it's
(34:56):
gonna walk because somebody might.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
Somebody might there to throw off and cut it, o't yoe.
So that's all I got for you, So no, don't me.
I got you too, as I got it possible. But
I'm just saying it might get cut up. I got you.
Speaker 7 (35:18):
That's funny, man, I'm just saying that's funny.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
No, I could not, I could, hey, And.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
I'm just reminiscing on them days man, back then, man,
you know where as you know, when you're younger, you
just just you've done some things that you just don't
understand how you're able to do. And especially when you
think about it at the age we're at now, I couldn't.
I couldn't pull it off. I don't have the energy
or the attention span to be able to make sure
(35:45):
no one is left out, you know. So I was
back in them days, you know, but when my younger
dad was like oct to push in there. Yeah, and
I make sure I don't leave anybody out. That makes
sure everybody is in tune, and I'm sharp and detailing
all that I'm doing that everyone feels like they're hard.
Speaker 7 (36:00):
I mean, Eunison, it's all about becoming the one.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Okay, I ain't even hold you. I can't. I can't
do it. I ain't gotta know.
Speaker 7 (36:06):
I know I feel you, I feel you, I feel you.
But I was different, you know, you know, I know
you was.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Hell when you was well hell? Hey? That that that
what called hell?
Speaker 3 (36:16):
Yeah, that what that what I put a I worked
a double oner. I did a double oo. I did
a double I did a double now sha like back
in Jackson saying sut down up to me and night.
You got me working day and night.
Speaker 7 (36:33):
Man. Hello, hello, oh we just say you worked the
double loader.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
I pulled the double oder. I put it over time.
Yeah yeah, yeah, I dated myself. I don't know if
they I don't even know. There's still an existence of
Lakinta back then, Lakenita about thirty five dollars about lakina
Man l a q u I and yeh yeah they
still got him.
Speaker 7 (36:55):
Yeah lakina In. Yeah, especially when you're on the road.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
He oh, bro, you know, bro, look I had a
little paper back then you known a little little thirdy
thirty five centred dollars, get you to night, little tax

I'm a I might be giving it too, but I'm
a sweater.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
I sweat that. The room gotta be icy cold.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
It's it's embarrassing because you know, I'm I'm just like man,
she ain't gonnaver want to see Billo bow hey, I
mean that thing like a Baptist minister.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
Theadn have enough father, Oh bad boy, I did something.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Yeah yeah back of the day with Joe you hey,

hell what wow?
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (37:44):
I was wait, hey, boy got boy, boy, I got
some man listen man the stories man.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
All if they was, oh, y'all like the same room.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
I like the same room too, cause I feel that
if it's something about that room and space. If I
get you know, gettor, either get a faux ball or
a five ball. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
On the sope, I think the room. It was the room.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Hey, let me get that room. Let me get that,
savor is the room I had that available. They said, well,
mister Shopper won't be available to tomorrow. I said, when
I come back tomorrow, but let me get it. I'll
be back to the ball.
Speaker 2 (38:27):
Let me get it. There was something about that bed.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
I don't know what it was, but boy, hold on,
oh drop it got I tell you.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
What I have thought about.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
I said, now, what about old Shape at eighteen nineteen
twenty on the Sparks.
Speaker 7 (38:45):
No, I don't do that, Jesus, don't do that.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Don't do that.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Hey, hey, I had to put some I don't have
to put somebody's legs back together bad at eighteen nineteen
tweety on the Fox.
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (39:03):
Ay, matter of fact, the body or is already producing
its own spark in general, especially, Can you imagine.
Speaker 7 (39:11):
And you add something to that?
Speaker 2 (39:14):
Man?
Speaker 7 (39:14):
Please? What them some days?
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Boy? Show hope you with the Bible study that week?
Speaker 7 (39:26):
Wet them some day?
Speaker 2 (39:26):
I boy, what a time? What a time?
Speaker 3 (39:32):
Joel and B would undergo orthoscopic surgery on his left
knee next week and B rule out for the season
in late February, as the Sixers met with doctors to
determine the best treatment to alleviate the knee issues was surgery.
Oh your hair's a wild stat The game's played since
the start of the twenty fourteen to fifteen season. Uh
(39:53):
the year Joeling bad end of the draft. Carmelo's Anthony
twelfth year Carmelo Anthony has played what more games?
Speaker 6 (40:01):
Is?
Speaker 2 (40:01):
This is why I'm reading this? Correct, lar Ash more
games than Joeling Bees.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
And Melo has been retired for three years and he
still played more games than Joeling Bees.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Is that correct? Four seventy to four fifty two.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Shawn's is reporting that Carmelo got the call that he's
going to the prob to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
I thought, I thought I thought basketball was five years,
but I guess they reduced it to three years. Or
you're a great player, Like, uh, who was that Wayne Gretzky?
He retired, They put him in the Hall of Fame?
Like what the hell are we waiting for? Like certain
guys on show, like why you wait, tom Brady? White,
you make Tom Brady wait? Why you make payon Manny wait?
(40:39):
Why you make like a hell, come on now?
Speaker 2 (40:41):
What he waiting for?
Speaker 7 (40:43):
There's no point, Yeah, it's no point.
Speaker 5 (40:45):
We took about it, and we took about players at
at Mount Rushmore, at that position, well actually respective craft
in general.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
Yeah, I mean some things you just like, I mean,
why would you make Lebron Wait a minute, Lebron, you're retired, Okay,
we got a ceremony next week?
Speaker 2 (40:59):
Makes you? I mean, but for real, do what we doing?
And I don't think.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
I don't think Lebron is one of those guys that
he's gonna come back, come back.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
And you know, I want to play like Jordan Dedda,
you know, magic.
Speaker 3 (41:15):
Because it had been really cool, hadding Magic because Magic
came back and played, and when Bird was gonna go
in Magic like I want to go ahead, and David
Stern wouldn't let that happen. But that had been really
cool because I really think those two guys should have
gone to if any two guys like Russell and Chamberlain,
Magic and Magic and Bird, some of those guys should
(41:37):
let's like just going together, that you're going together. They
really should, oh Joe. Aisha Howard has addressed the rumor
a legend Anthony Edwards requested to pay eighteen years of
child support up front amid their court battle. She said,
where do these lives? Where do these lives be coming from?
You ever heard a rumor about yourself and actually wanted
(41:59):
to hear more?
Speaker 2 (42:00):
Like, no way? What did I do next?
Speaker 3 (42:03):
There are no court documents, motions or proceedings that have occurred,
nor have I been offered or agreed to such terms.
Would it actually be smart just to pay the whole
eighteen years one payment of only one point eight million?
Speaker 2 (42:21):
Yes? Yeah, I mean this is I wouldn't make. It's tough,
O Joe. It's tough. It's tough. It's tough. Because and
we're just just speculate. I don't know. I don't know
a man like that, have I have I met him before? Yes,
(42:42):
it's tough because he young.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Is reported that he didn't want the kid. Now he
forced to, you know, be want to be with the kid.
So I just think the thing is I would say this,
take some time, cool down. You're upset right now because
you didn't want.
Speaker 2 (43:04):
To be with her.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
You were just having a good time, yes, sir. And
sometimes when you lay you gotta pay.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:12):
And that's the only advice I would give him. I say, son,
that child didn't have to come. M h it didn't.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
It was two.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
It was two grown folks. I mean, you practice long enough,
you're gonna get good at it.
Speaker 7 (43:28):
Mm hmm. Yeah, you're right. I mean, listen, it's unfortunate circumstance.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
You know.
Speaker 5 (43:34):
I know aunt very well, good friend of mine, and
the situation is unfortunate. Now we're all different and how
we operate now, I can only put myself in his shoe. Yes,
if I was an now you know me, I didn't
do things the traditional way. I didn't do things traditional way.
You know, there was an understanding between those and I
(43:54):
that I have kids from where I am extremely active
in all minds life and always having that's something that
I would be proud of, whether the individual or I
weren't together.
Speaker 7 (44:07):
You know, Oh you what man?
Speaker 2 (44:10):
You bullge?
Speaker 7 (44:10):
Having is mine? Oh bet, let's go.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
I got this.
Speaker 5 (44:14):
And I'm starting to pre playing everything ahead of the time,
having a girl boy when I think about Jim Clapp
gymnastics and football.
Speaker 7 (44:21):
But that's how that's how I operate, because who enjoys
having kids?
Speaker 2 (44:26):
I enjoyed.
Speaker 5 (44:26):
I'm active, I'm hands on and all that I do,
especially when it comes to that. But his situation is different.
Obviously he didn't want he didn't even want the child.
But obviously you do have to take responsibility.
Speaker 3 (44:39):
And it's different now because see the problem that I
have now is that they have this thing called Internet
and when something gets put on in and that it's
up there for propetuity and to know that one day
and this could not be true, but for a child
to read that, to say the father didn't want anything
to do with it or didn't want to be a
part of his life, that's hurtful.
Speaker 5 (45:00):
So that's yeah, he's also he's also speaking from anger
of course, also speaking from anger about the situation and
her understanding that you know, you know this is something
that I don't want now, and then you know, the
the other flip side of that is, well, if you
didn't want a child, you shouldn't you should have on him.
Speaker 2 (45:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (45:23):
So I mean, listen, it is tough. I mean that.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
Ah, I do. Like I said, I say her side,
you know A.
Speaker 5 (45:35):
I think when I think when cooler heads prevailed, all right,
it's gonna be all right, and he's going to be
as the father regards of the reports that are coming out,
I think he's great.
Speaker 7 (45:47):
I think it's gonna be great.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
And I.
Speaker 7 (45:51):
I love let me I got, let me take my
glass on.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
I love.
Speaker 7 (45:58):
Kids, love it, love it. I love being a father.
Speaker 5 (46:02):
If if, if, if, I wouldn't mind having the monk,
right man, I wouldn't mind having the monk. Matter of fact,
you know what, I'm gonna have twins. Yeah that's what
I'm gonna do. I'm finna have Yeah, that's what.
Speaker 7 (46:18):
Yeah, that's what. And then I'm done.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Only twins. I want to is range rovers or bentless.
Speaker 7 (46:24):
Matter of fact, I let me get I'm gonna get
two of them too. Guess what I'm gon getting with.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
A yeah, man, pay me by money, man. Hold on, hold, Hey, I'm.
Speaker 7 (46:37):
Finna have twins.
Speaker 5 (46:37):
So you want you want my kids to starve? Do
you want my kids to starve? You want the fifty
two hundred? Or you want me to be able to
provide for like.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
What about my kids? My kids starting they're grown, they
could work. They eat though.
Speaker 7 (46:52):
The nah, but they work, so they already.
Speaker 5 (46:56):
Making money the kids before they're born. I want to
make sure I can provide. So as long as I
got that fifty fifty, I'm gonna be able to fade.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Already have I'm just gonna I'm just gonna go and
and take it. You're going to check it at your check.
I'm a guardish your wager. Hey, chat, y'all think that
your guarden y'all think that your gardeners garnish your check?
Speaker 7 (47:25):
Nah, Chat y'all, chat don't do that?
Speaker 2 (47:27):
Yeah, ain't that? I would? You know what I'm gonna doing.
Speaker 3 (47:29):
I would put the crack put it on your credit,
I wud I would take it the collections.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
I'm done with this.
Speaker 5 (47:33):
We already we already ain't got to reparate O reparation
reparate how you said reparation.
Speaker 7 (47:40):
Yeah, we already got damn.
Speaker 2 (47:41):
No, don't don't.
Speaker 7 (47:41):
Don't take money from me, man, that that's all.
Speaker 2 (47:43):
I'm gonna sit it. Your collections, that's all I doing. Collections.
Speaker 7 (47:49):
You're gonna marvel sapre.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
No, I'm was centing colection. Whatever. Your credit I just
take my credit report, my credit card.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
I'm eight, twenty four. Oh, I think I'm gonna get
they fit that want to get they fifty. I gotta
get they fitty again. I used to be a fifty.
I'm twenty four right now. But I'm gonna put you on.
I want joy to go down to like four. Honey, No,
that that ain't happen.
Speaker 7 (48:11):
That ain't gonna happen. And I got some good credit.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
We got a very special, very special guest joining us,
a member of the Final four, Lady Bruins.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Uh key key, Rice, key key. How you doing. I'm
doing great, We're doing amazing. Well, congratulations.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
Has it has it really sunk into the like hold on,
We're part of the first group of young women that's
ever gone to the Final four at u c l A.
Speaker 2 (48:43):
That is a very very huge accomplishment.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
Yeah, I mean after the buzzer went off and we
were all celebrating.
Speaker 6 (48:49):
It was just so special because like that's part of
what I came here to do and part of what
my class came here to do. So I'm just so
excited that we were able to, you know, finally get
to the Final four and kind of take that next step.
But got two more games, so we're excited for that.
Getting ready to head down there tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (49:04):
You know, you think about it, Listen, I have one question,
and I really like this and that, and when you
think about postseason, postseason stuff to do.
Speaker 7 (49:14):
I saw something where you said.
Speaker 5 (49:15):
You want to become an NBA General measurer after after
your plan days are done.
Speaker 7 (49:20):
Yeah, right, what's the first move you'd make if you
happen to be a GYM.
Speaker 5 (49:24):
I'm just curious before we get into you know what
you're doing right now in college, what would be the
first move you make as a as a GM in NBA?
Speaker 6 (49:33):
First move? Well, if I was the GM of the MAVs,
I would not have my first move for sure.
Speaker 2 (49:44):
Yeah. I love it. I love it, I love it.
I love it.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
Oh yeah, okay, look at what you guys. Did you
lose the USC twice? You beat him in the Pac
ten championship. Obviously that was a huge compliment. Did that
guy give you the confidence confidence or were you always
confident that you have the type of team that could
advance to the final four and potentially win it all.
Speaker 6 (50:05):
Yeah, I mean this whole season we were ranked number
one for most of the year, obviously a top team
in the country. But I do think, you know, like
losing to a team twice is hard, and the SEC
is obviously a great team. Jugi's great and they have
a lot of great players. So but to finally like
to beat them in our conference championship and to kind
of get over that hump, it definitely kind of I
think gave us some more confidence, just because we knew, like,
(50:26):
all right, like we finally kind of beat the one
team that had beaten us this whole year and now
we're just like kind of, you know, playing out the
rest of the season.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
But we were really confident at that point.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
For sure.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
You look at you guys. You played LSU and that
game was nipping, took very back and forth. I mean,
you guys, get to a ten point lead, they will
lit down to two. You race out to an eight
point lead, they will let down to three, you guys,
and then all of a sudden, you get a couple
of big key rebounds and you kick it out to
a hot cass and she makes a couple of threes,
even though Laura Ben.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Said no, don't shoot. Okay, what do you think?
Speaker 3 (50:57):
Good job, good job. So what are you thinking in
that ball game? You're like, damn, we're so close. We
have a ten point leader, and we don't let them
cut it all the way down to two. What's going
through your mind as the game starts to get later
in the ball game, but the game starts to tighten up.
Speaker 6 (51:12):
Yeah, I mean I think at one point I looked
over at the scoreboard we were up like I think
that's our biggest leader up like thirteens and third quarter
I was like, all right, like we got this, like wow,
and then we're gonna try to get closer. They definitely
get a little nervous and like, can't let this little boy,
especially because like LSU, there were the team that knocks
us out last year.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
So like when we needed that, we needed that revenge.
Speaker 6 (51:28):
You just wanted to get through the final four two
and like obviously a lot on the line, but like
we worked, we worked on special situations and just endgame
stuff so much in practice this year that I really had.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
A lot of confidence that we were going to be
able to find a way to get it done.
Speaker 6 (51:41):
But it is, like, you know, it was a little
bit nervous at the end there because they are great team,
Clage is great player, and so like you know, it's
never over till the buzzer sounds, So I just had
to finish it up.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (51:51):
Speaking of speaking of finishing things up, with the Final
four approaching, how is the UCLA team preparing to face
the next challenge? And if there were any lessons that
you learned from the LSU game, what are they to
make sure you don't have to deal with the next
team coming in whoever you do have to face, not not.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
The game they got page buckets.
Speaker 7 (52:13):
Yeah, so the game doesn't be as close as it
was this last time.
Speaker 5 (52:18):
You actually close it out without having to be fearful,
you know, towards the end.
Speaker 7 (52:21):
Of the game.
Speaker 6 (52:22):
Yeah, I mean I do think like at this point
of the year, like we're prepared that every team that
we're gonna play is going to be a great team.
So like we know matchups are going to be closed
like the game is going to be close down the line,
so we just got to be comfortable in those moments.
And I think like having played a few of those
games will help us, you know, just because we have
that like close game experience. But you know, we're you know,
we'll watch scout watch film kind of get ready. I
(52:44):
think we played Dukoon last year actually, so like having
that experience playing them and they played really well we
beat them last year will be good for our confidence
for sure.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
Kiki, who are some of the women that you watched
growing up? Obviously being a fabulous player that you are,
who are some of the women that you watch? And says,
you know what, that's I kind of what kind of
molded your game, but kind of some of the women
that inspired you to play basketball?
Speaker 6 (53:06):
Yeah, I mean I grew up watching Skylar Diggins, Rique,
Diana Tarassi and not only like in basketball, but like
I loved watching like Serena Williams. And now it's more
like they're like, well, like you know, really fantastic women
and other sports just kind of to see them be
great at their craft and that really inspired me for sure.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
Why you ce La?
Speaker 3 (53:25):
I mean obviously U c La is really not known
as a women's basketball program. You have Yukon, you have
the Lady Game, Cost, you have LSU Tennessee are probably
Notre Dame. It's probably more known as women college basketball.
Speaker 2 (53:40):
What made you choose u C l A?
Speaker 1 (53:43):
Yeah exactly because because I felt like, you know, UCLA
is not as song and like, obviously it will make
it known exactly I wanted to.
Speaker 6 (53:52):
I didn't want to go to a program that had
a bunch of national championships, that have been to the
final for a bunch of times. Like I felt like
it makes it even more special to go to a
place and help it big that level of that level
of program. So I think, you know, having that all
come into like you know reality now just makes makes
Steven more special.
Speaker 3 (54:09):
I just swear today that Olivia Miles, the Notre Dame player,
she's projected to be number two, but instead of ending
a w NBA draft, she ended a transfer a portal.
Speaker 2 (54:19):
Are you surprised by this?
Speaker 1 (54:22):
I was really surprised by that one, honestly, Yeah, really surprised.
Speaker 6 (54:25):
I mean, look, she's gonna be would be probably the
number two pick, and you're just having to come back
to college. I mean I think it speaks to like
nil and what you can get in college and you
know how great you know the college experience is. But like,
I don't think that happens often someone who's going to
be uh for sure lottery pick decides to come back
to college. I mean, I don't know exactly what went
into her decision, but yeah, surprised, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (54:47):
Your decision.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
She gonna make more money in college than she would
be at a rookie at the w n b A.
That's what we need to.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
Got. If it makes dollars, it makes sense exactly.
Speaker 5 (55:00):
And then you know, and speaking and speaking of the
w n b A, if you could build your start
in five any current NBA or w n A players,
who are you picking? I say, I I'd more say
w n b A, who is your starting five?
Speaker 6 (55:14):
Let's see, all right, I have Asia Wilson at the five,
at the five, Caitlin Clark one.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 2 (55:29):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (55:30):
I'm putting Stui at the four, like you got a
roster so far? Yeah, putting Nafisa at the three.
Speaker 2 (55:46):
Two defense, oh, you got some defense on that front line, and.
Speaker 1 (55:52):
Then at the two. Shoot, I'm going Chelsea Gray.
Speaker 2 (55:59):
Okay, I like I like it I thought you might
go with Riek.
Speaker 3 (56:03):
I thought you might take Erique, But okay, I like
because she's healthy.
Speaker 2 (56:08):
Now.
Speaker 3 (56:08):
If you watched then the Unrival in the semi final game, Chelsea,
I was expecting to see last year when she came back.
But you can tell the way she's playing now versus
the way she played, uh and when she got back
into the Olympics, that wasn't her. This is her that
we saw in the Unrival leading her team to the
first Titland Unrival.
Speaker 1 (56:31):
Yeah, she was tough, she was well.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
So let me ask you, So, let me ask you this.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
You give a probably got approached by a lot of
companies wanting to be you, wanting to do this Nil,
how do you determine who key Key's gonna align with?
Speaker 6 (56:47):
Yeah, I mean I think a lot of it is
like based on if I feel like we can build
like a long term partnership and just like how.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
How much money y'all got, How it's not.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
Yeah, god, it has to be good money.
Speaker 6 (57:04):
But like I think, you know, feeling like the brand
or company is like, you know, aligned with my values
and everything, and like obviously you know, I don't want
to be like associated with any anyone that's kind of like,
you know, kind of bring harm to my brand and
my name and everything. And then you have a big
part of it is money also, I mean like got
to do things that make sense and things that I
care about you. I think like that's when I get
(57:25):
like more into doing it and it becomes more organic
because it's like I care about the cause.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
Or whatever it is.
Speaker 3 (57:30):
You're the first. You're the first nil athlete to sign
with Jordan Brand. Do you understand. I mean, look, there's
no there's not a knock on anybody else Nike and
Adidas and under Armor or whatever the case may be.
But you know the logo, that's where it goes by
the logo, and you're the first when you when you like,
(57:51):
have you really thought about having you.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
Like, hey, look at these Look at the je I got,
the one they got, the level they got, the fours.
I mean, what is that? What is that? What does
that feel like? What does that mean to you?
Speaker 1 (58:03):
To me? It feels like a lot of a big
shoe collection.
Speaker 2 (58:06):
A lot of.
Speaker 6 (58:11):
It's great though, I mean, yeah, one of the best
parts of it is all the gear and everything, for sure,
But I do think like kind of being aligned with
like a brand like Jordan, like any you know, any
basketball player you grow up and like you idolize Michael Jordan.
You know what he did for the game and what
he means all of us. So I think like for
for me to be the first and athlete that Jordan
chose to sign, like it just like it was kind
(58:34):
of a surreal moment when it all happened, and for
it to be like at such a young age, you
know what I mean, Like I signed my senior year
of high school, like going into college and everything. So
it really just like kind of itmotivated me to continue
to work hard because it's like, all right, like I
have a lot, a lot to live up to, but
also like a lot more coming if I continue to
put in the one more thing.
Speaker 3 (58:53):
Let me ask you this, give me the five shoes
Jordan's shoes. You don't have that you really really won't.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
I don't have. Honestly, I don't think I have any
There's none that I want that I don't have.
Speaker 2 (59:05):
You got a buck?
Speaker 6 (59:06):
Die off?
Speaker 2 (59:08):
What I don't kick you? Well, shoot your boy. I'm thirteen.
I'm a thirteen. Got you?
Speaker 1 (59:12):
I got you?
Speaker 2 (59:14):
I mean, so you may so I mean, you know
obviously the.
Speaker 3 (59:18):
Dunks and you know all the signature where they don't
have they don't make a whole lot of them.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
Did you get the did you get the air? Did
you get the d or Jordan's or did you get
the virgils? You ain't got those? You want to get those? Huh?
Speaker 1 (59:30):
Yeah, I'll ask for those for sure.
Speaker 2 (59:32):
Yeah, I don't believe you.
Speaker 3 (59:34):
Shoot, what's starn You're laying on the moved. You still
got a great collection, exactly.
Speaker 5 (59:39):
Listen, outside outside of basketball, I've learned some interesting things
about you. For when you like Marvel yep, you love
to cook, and you scuba certified. I'm Scooba certified too.
Speaker 1 (59:53):
Really, okay, the first.
Speaker 7 (59:55):
Thing I have to asked what I am Scooba certified?
Speaker 2 (59:58):
Don't worry aout, go ahead, go ahead, don't a prettih
your question.
Speaker 7 (01:00:01):
I just want to know, sorry about that. Where's the
coolest place you going diving?
Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
The coolest place that went diving was in Mozambique.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
What I was it?
Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
It was? That was dope.
Speaker 6 (01:00:16):
It was really cool. The water there so like so
clear and pretty. In this year, I think we saw
we saw a shark there, which is really cool. All right.
Speaker 7 (01:00:23):
That was my next question.
Speaker 5 (01:00:24):
Have there been any scares when you've been diving, because
I got scared when I went when I when school
were diving because I ran into a whale shark by accident,
and I obviously didn't didn't realize how big they were
until they get right.
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
Up on you.
Speaker 7 (01:00:37):
Even though they're they're they're they're not hostile, but.
Speaker 6 (01:00:39):
Just still Yeah, the shark though, Yeah, it was definitely
it was not it wasn't that big. It was like
a camera walk kind of shark. It wasn't that big,
but it was definitely scary. I mean, like, it's not
not cool to cump on a shark when you're diving. Yeah,
just the idea of it. But I haven't had any
any crazy scares. I mean, I think like one of
the scariest parts is honestly making sure I'm doing it
(01:01:00):
everything right so I'm not like messing up and like
messing up the tinker all that.
Speaker 7 (01:01:03):
But yeah, listen, all right, the fact that you love
to cook, I can't cook worth a damn.
Speaker 5 (01:01:08):
I'm horrible, and I think that might be one of
the reasons why I've been left by everybody that updated,
because I can't cook, But what is your go to dish?
Let's say, if you're try and impress somebody, it's your
go to this every time, and that's what you're gonna
make because you know they gonna like it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
Yeah, I'll make some talking.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
I thought you gonna say. I think some posta, some
linguine is.
Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
I'll keep it simple so I know, don't mess it up.
Speaker 7 (01:01:34):
Hey, lets is less is more, Less is more exactly.
And also you're a big Marvel fan.
Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
So which Marvel character do you think would make the
best basketball player? Just hypothetic speaking, if there was a
Marvel character that actually played basketball, who would be the best,
like the actor.
Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
Or the the character?
Speaker 7 (01:01:52):
Yeah, the character self?
Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Probably Captain America.
Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
Ah, I like that. I like that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
Kiki, you also played high school. You played high school soccer,
one Gatorade Player of the Year. What went into the
decision for you to choose basketball over soccer.
Speaker 6 (01:02:13):
Yeah, I thought for a little bit about doing both
in college, but I just felt like that would be
too much. I think, like playing one sport is already enough,
but to do both, And I think the biggest thing
is also just like I didn't want to take my
time away from this.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Sport that I like the most, which is basketball.
Speaker 6 (01:02:27):
And like I wanted to you know, I want to
be a pro. I want to do a lot of things,
and I think I needed to focus like fully on that.
But I think the biggest thing was just feeling like,
like the basketball community I like more than the soccer community,
just my teammates, the teams I was on and all
that stuff. I think that's what like really drew me
to just continue to play basketball. Well, you know, I
like this the fact that she played soccer and that
(01:02:51):
that makes me that much more of a fan now.
But this can all change based on your answer. All right,
Krishano or Messi Messi.
Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
Now you go.
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
Talking about kik.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
Kiki. Do we done all the white feel I'm saying, Oh, Joe,
I've been trying to tech Kiki. I've been trying to
tell this man this for the better part of two years.
He ain't want to hear done. I gotta say, so, whoop,
there it is.
Speaker 7 (01:03:24):
It's okay, it's all, It's all good.
Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
I mean, she no greatness. She played foker. She was
Gatorade Player of a Year, you know, and she was
top down. Yeah, I was.
Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
I was expecting to do, no worry about it. You
got what you got, messy mess He was in the
documentary Full Court Press.
Speaker 6 (01:03:53):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
You mentioned that you grew up watching President Obama and
I think you had an aunt that was like a
national security advibes to doing the President Obama's administration.
Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Correct. Did you get an opportunity to meet it?
Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
Yes, I have met him actually in properly.

a program that's really not known for ladies basketball, and
lo and behold she starts it and now a bunch
