Speaker 3 (00:13):
Good thing, Cam Newton, I've seen you came at me
because I said Jaelen Hurst did.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
What you couldn't do, that was win a super Bowl.
So you want to get all in your feelings. They
shut your tight jean wearing ass up. Man, you had
on a jersey with a bow tie.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
You corny ass.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
Get out of here and you will never be able
to with jail and hurt.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
You super goofy, corny.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Assing, get out of here.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
You what you do? You won MVP, win a super
Bowl in a super Bowl MVP, and you.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Hating on him because he did what you couldn't do
within a super Bowl, anything to two of them.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
So when you hating on him, just know you wasn't
better than you talk.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Can you name one of my albums?
Speaker 2 (01:04):
You ain't got to be able to name.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
One of my albums? Wrong with you? You in my space?
You ain't bigger than me in this space. You a
little ass boy in this space, Your little ass boy.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
I could come sign you. Damn hey, no personal man. Look,
anybody ever made Gilly besides me.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
And I know Gilly. We don't play basketball together.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
He got that energy all the time. He took that person.
He took that. He absolutely did got a ring on your.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
That's what the idea came, you know, when the Bengals
winning Super Bowl. I'm hoping they give me a ring,
you know, uh being being being the team mascot, being
the best ambassador for an organization, even though I don't
play anymore. So I'm hoping I do get a ring
this season.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
I don't hope you get a ringing season, ain't. I
ain't gonna lie to you, Joe, I hope you don't.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Damn Joe, you ain't.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
I even keeping the one hundred, Just keep keep the one, honey, man.
I can't sit here and say I hope you get one.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
No, I don't, Okay, I feel I feel you. It's cool.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
I could have got I should have got one. I
should have got su bow fifty ring. Oh I couldn't.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
I'm asking you, why, though, why?
Speaker 4 (02:32):
Why?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Why? Why? Why? Why could I already got three?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Why you need another one?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
I mean that was nice though he listen.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Because look, I don't know, like, I don't know what
the type of relationship that you have with Mike, I
can pick up the phone and call it right now.
But the relationship that I had with mister B, mister
B on the Broncos from nineteen eighty four un till
I think the uh the Walton Pener family bought it
(03:01):
in twenty two. I want to say, maybe nineteen twenty
twenty two, something like that, twenty whatever, other than John Elway.
I defy you to find a player that mister B
loved more than Shanna Sharp, other than John Elway.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Now that I think about it, now that you just said,
I like that. You said that, now that I would
like that, Now I'm gonna raise another one. Were to
ask Mike Brown, Yeah, if you would ask Katie, if
you'd ask Troy, if you asked the rest of the family,
their kids, what players do they love the most that
(03:42):
play for that organization? Who do you think they gonna say?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Shit? I mean, I mean you you posed in the question.
I guess you mean you? Who else?
Speaker 3 (03:52):
If you ask the fans, who did love the most
that has played for that organization?
Speaker 1 (03:58):
His uh, his kids or putting the young kids are
putting together a love for something, and they asked me
to ask me to sit down and speak for it.
And his daughter Brittany, I know, I know, I know all,
I know all the kids. But they asked me to speak.
And they say, Shannon, the reason why we ask you,
and I'm gonna ask. I'm gonna speak with Brittany and
(04:19):
ask does she mind if I share the note that
she wrote? She said, because our dad was so serious,
except when he was around you. You come in the
locker room, that's my domain. You get what everybody else
get bagged on. And they respect. Hey you, Hey, you
(04:42):
get on bus number two. If you break your hands,
back to the back.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
You getting it.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Anybody come back to the back, go get it. Whether
you mister b whether you might share a hand, it
didn't matter. I will give you that work. And they respected.
He respec back to that, Oh Joe, I did things,
and he and and he told me, he said, only
you got the only you would ever even think about that.
(05:09):
Rike said, sharpy, ain't nobody else got. Ain't nobody else
got the brands to do what you just did. But
he appreciated that, and he took a liking to me.
Even way before I became Shannon Shark.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Had a girl.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
My girlfriend and I we're expecting that first she found
out she was pregnant. By this time, O Joe, I
do them went brought up. She's like, shann ooh you
know what I want?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I said, what you want?
Speaker 5 (05:37):
She said, I want a first coat? I said you like, yeah, hey,
you know I don't. I don't have got that mink me.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
So I thought on me, oh, Joe, well you got money.
He talking about she don't feel well. I said, okay,
well let's go to the doctor. You don't feel The
doctor come back and say, well, I know why you
don't feel well. I said, don't watch you don't feel well?
Speaker 4 (06:07):
What you know?
Speaker 3 (06:08):
I don't know?
Speaker 5 (06:08):
Not congratulations. I'm like, you know the wrong go they
gonna give you a contract or something. But you talking
about congratulations? What the hell you're talking about?
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Come on you? Yeah, I real, I swear, I swear
I said congratulations or what it said? The the girlfriend's pregnant? Congratulations?
Speaker 3 (06:35):
How you feel? How you felt?
Speaker 2 (06:37):
How you felt?
Speaker 5 (06:39):
Bro, I just spent twelve five on me, coll I
need that money back. Let me tell you be how
I fell. I felt sick to my stomach. Now we
got two people in that mo fok sick to not
feeling well hurt. Hey listen, Hey, hey, so Joe. So
I tell him I go back and I tried to
(07:00):
explain to the people.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
I said, look, I found out my girlfriend is pregnant,
and I was wondering if I can get a refund.
They say they're not gonna give you no refund. I
called mister B. I said, mister B, I got a problem.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
He said.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
He always called me sharpail. He called me eighty four.
He said, Sharpe, what, What's what's going on? I said,
mister B. My girlfriend's pregnant and I purchased the first
code not knowing that she was pregnant, and it's we
need baby supplies, not a first code, he said. He said, here,
(07:33):
I'm gonna give you my personal attorney. His name was
Rich Slifker. If you and Denver you y'all know Rich Slifker.
He was also in charge of mister Bowler's a state.
Rich Slifker and Joe Ellis. I called Rich. He said,
I expected yourself, mister Sharper. He said, how you doing.
I explained my situation in the of the day I
got my money back. Yeah, you might be all right, man,
(07:57):
he may he may look out for you. Why are
you laughing on him?
Speaker 2 (08:03):
He may look at for you.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Oh yeah, oh for sure, Oh for sure. And when
I retired. I remember when I retired, Joe he asked me,
he said, are you sure. He's like, uh, you want
to coach? You want to do anything? I said, mister B.
I say, for the first time in twenty six years,
I want to do something other than play football. I
thought about doing something other than playing football. He said, sharply.
(08:32):
He said, if you ever need anything, hey, he said,
any game you want to go to, anything that's in
this I said, So, who I need to call? He said,
you don't need to he say, he said, you don't
need to call anybody. I said, mister B. I ain't
got no I ain't got no credentials. He said, your
face is your condential. That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
Man.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Man, Look, oh, Joe, anything that was at my hot,
any game, super Bowl, I'll go? I said, Hey, I call.
I say, uh, the super Bowl in New York. I called,
I want to go to the super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Got you?
Speaker 1 (09:10):
He's like, say, well, who you bringing, I say, I say,
it ain't nobody. I said, who can I bring? He said,
you got sweet.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
Man?
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Oh y'all a twelve person Sweet, it's three people in there. Hey,
sometimes me, yes, So guess what, oh Yoe, So guess what?
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Now?
Speaker 2 (09:34):
We go to there?
Speaker 1 (09:35):
In Super Bowl fifty, they got the Eyes beat out.
I left early, I say, in New York, Seattle beat
the Brakes. Offer said, So they go to San Francisco
Broncos against cam Hey, I want to go to the
thing again. Twelve twelve person, sweet, these people in there.
(09:59):
I got fee passes, I got a field path. I
go anywhere the celebration. I'm on the field half time. Hey,
I'm on the field pre game. I'm walking everywhere, just
wherever I want to go. Like I said, I know
he had a very special relationship with John, But in
the thirty plus years that he owned that team, I
(10:22):
was number two to number seven, that's for sure. And
when I went to the Hall of Fame, Ojoe he
called me. I was like hello, He's like sharpie. I said,
mister b how you get my number?
Speaker 2 (10:40):
He said?
Speaker 5 (10:41):
He said, Sharpie, I'm not a whole lot that I
can't get. I said, okay to shape, but he said
he wanted to congratulate me, that he was proud of me.
He said, Hey, I don't know if y'all know this,
O Joe, it's expensive to go to the hall.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
He caught you.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
It costs to go to the hall, so he said,
he said, you know, he said, sharpie, call Lisa, his
secretary on Monday. Give her a ballpark idea. Man, please,
thirty five people. He flew am in. Put him up,
(11:22):
and that's what's up. That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
The food, the party, the party, all the food, the alcohol.
He paid for it.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Now you know you're gonna get the ring, the ring.
How many people you want to bring? I say, mister
b you know I got my kids. I got my mom,
I got my sister. I say, my high school coach
and his wife.
Speaker 5 (11:45):
I got my Spanish teacher, her husband who was my
junior high principal.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Brought them all in. That's Saturday night. Mike, call me
eighty four. What you're doing? I said, And we're just
sitting around, Mike, we ain't doing nothing. He said, Uh,
I want to throw your party. I said, Matt, Matt,
you ain't got to do that. They said, nah.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
He said I got everything taking care of said how
many people you got? I said, it's about I said, Mike,
it's about twelve fourteen of us.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Oh Yo Alaskan king crown left alone, Jumbo prons.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
The steak lost. I'm talking about every day. That's why
I'm saying, if so when, like when you got a relationship,
I gat I called Mike shenahead right now, I called
Kyle and get a job tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Hey, for what you want to do?
Speaker 1 (12:44):
I say, I want to loaf until noon and then
I want to loaf the rest of the day too,
but I want to be on payroll while I'm doing it.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Let me ask you what what y'all think about this?
O Joe? Let me let me what y'all think about
give camp. We saw, we saw r C's response to.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
We saw Gilly's response to Cam, and we've already are Joe,
you weren't here.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
What's your response? What? I'm gonna start with you first, Joe, Joe,
what do you what's your what's your take?
Speaker 5 (13:19):
I just thought it was too person of a shot
because we can talk trash back and forth. You know,
it could be a good sparring session. But I just
think when he gets personal, Bro, I think it kind
of draws a line, you know what I mean. Like so, so,
I don't know if he take it personal. When Cam
said something about him dropping an album, and I think
it just kind of no holds bars.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
He just he just went he he wouldn't preserve after that. Yeah,
what you think, Joe?
Speaker 3 (13:47):
You got to understand that culture already.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Know what time it is.
Speaker 6 (13:49):
You know.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
The id needs to die. You say the wrong thing,
I'm gonna say the wrong thing. You say the right
I'm gonna say the right thing. Respect is arned, it's
not given. Therefore, when you take shots, you have to
you expect the other individual.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Something coming back, Something's coming back.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
That's the space that we live in. Cam. He not
gonna back down. Gilly. We've known Gilly for a very
long time, and what he does, he's not gonna back down.
You say something, he's gonna say something back. You say
something to Cam, he gonna say something back. Ryan and
probably Ryan, I'm sure probably at some point he's gonna respond.
I'm assuming so, or maybe not, because I'm assuming Ryan
and and Cam will probably have to see each other
(14:25):
at some point, you know, on ESPN but but still
that is that is that that's just one topic. It
won't cause any feud in the work environment other than that. Listen,
it's entertainment. At the end of the day, nothing will
probably happen outside of those mics and in that space
of podcasting. So I think, listen, it's a good Jabin war.
It's like, it's a good Jabin war. May may May
(14:46):
the best man win in that situation.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Yeah, I agree with I agree with both of you guys.
I hate when it gets personal, you know, I hate
when Cam. You know, Cam was a quarterback. Obviously, his
influence is going to be different than any other player
on the field, regardless where around was drafted, regardless of
how many probos. There's not any quarterback that's worth anything's
going to have more value basically than anybody else. Cam
(15:13):
was an MVP. Cam was a multiple time Pro Bowl player. Yes,
Cam won the Heisman. Camp up, his accolades speak for themselves.
We don't know, we don't need to go off and
list them. And and for me, if Cam had just
stuck like, look, this is what I'm saying, it's hard
for me to evaluate Jalen Hurts when he has so
(15:34):
much talent around. I'm not saying that he's not talented,
but it's easier for me to evaluate someone when they
don't have as much talent where they don't just have
to turn around and hand the ball off and have
saquad and hit his head on the goal post from
eighty or he has or he has you know, these
two receivers that's Pro Bowl receivers, or an offensive line
(15:57):
that's as good as that's ever been a sample. Keep
Ryan's accolades out of it. Ryan, keep Cam whether he
did or did not jump on that football. Okay, we
know that we know Cam didn't jump on the football,
(16:19):
and he said it. If he could go back and
do anything different in his playing career, that's the one
thing that he would have done. So if you want
to evaluate a player, evaluate the player says. This is why,
this is why everybody's not gonna like your opinion, MM,
(16:39):
because if you try, you can try to pease everybody, ohho,
and the one person that's gonna be very disappointed and
upset as you. Because when you try to pease everybody,
the only person that's hurting you and disappointed please everybody.
You can't, nor should you attempt to hell now, Yeah,
(17:00):
I look Gilly, my guy. I love Gilly. I love
Waller Wallow. You know, I talked to the brothers and
they good people, they really are. Gilly take things like
to the Eagles, like and I've been I've been in
a very similar situation one time before. And uh, it's
(17:21):
probably one of the times that I regret something that
you know, you you somebody says something about a team
or a player that you like, and then you take
it personal, you take personal shots at them, and then
you know, you have to realize, Okay, that might entitled
to his opinion, that's his opinion. Just because you feel
passionate about this as a pro and he feels passionate
(17:45):
about this as a negative, it doesn't make you more
right than him.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
It doesn't make him more right than you. That's his opinion.
I agree with you, Joe. I think when when cav like, well,
hey bro.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
I think.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Gilly like what bro?
Speaker 4 (18:01):
Whoa?
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Whoa whoa.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
That's why he said you're not bigging than me and this,
and that's when it started to get real personally. You
could tell yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but we know
it's gonna be it's gonna be some back and forth.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Man, Jalen Hurst is is a very polarizing figure because
it's not like, you know, every other year.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
I mean, think about it. We had.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Doug Wig and then we had a big Low, so
we got eighty seven, and then we had to go
all the way to twenty twelve before we got another
So we had to go almost three decades before we
got another Black to win the Super Bowl at the quarterback.
And then we got Mahomes and now we got Jalen Hurst.
(18:54):
So it's not like it's just littered and so now
it's like you know, and I think maybe RC and
maybe Guilly feel like, man, they being they being unfairly
criticized because excuse me when when when Tom won his
first who Bow, they applauded it.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
And he threw for a buck forty two, but were
trying to find ways.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
But that's I mean, when you're an analyst, when you
know your job is a critique and analyze. The only
thing I will say about this, and this is what
I always never went to journalism school. I didn't go
to Syracuse, I didn't go to Missouri. I didn't go
to anyone of these fancy journalism school But this is
what I do know, never become a part of the story.
You see now cam Ryan are part of the Jalen
(19:46):
Hurt story. This should be about Jalen Hurts. But they've
become a part of the story. You stay away from
the story, you talk about it, you critique, you analyze,
but you don't become a hard But the.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Critiquing and the analyzation is why they're part of the
jail and her storrhythm.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
No, you can do that.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
But see now we're not talking about them, we're talking
about what cam RC going back, the kid, going back
and forth.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
I mean, they're gonna squash that. That that that ain't
that ain't nothing that that's all that's all talked. They're
gonna squash it. Uh, it's not going anywhere outside of
the space in which we're doing right now. And that
that's so that that that's a good thing.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
I agree, But you see a that podcast isn't serious
and sports Yeah absolutely, you everybody got a mic see that,
Joe body got something to say, and everybody like, hey,
we're the king of this and we're the king of that,
and we started this and we started that.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I don't know, I don't know who started what but uh,
there's enough for everybody give there's enough.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Fair Hey, Henry Forward and invented well, he didn't invented car.
He's first American. But there's Mercedes. So you got Mercedes,
you got BMW, you got Ferrari, you got Lamborghini, you
got Ford, you got Chevy, you got Tesla. And Tesla
only came Tesla in less than twenty years old and
(21:28):
ten times the value. Your damn there, Every Tesla can
buy all the car dealership, every every BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari,
Lambeau and his lands to the market.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
But I hope you right, Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know,
I hope you're right.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
I'm gonna take your word for it because because you hey,
you know how we are, Joe, we don't like to
let stuff go.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
I will.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
I don't like.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
I didn't say. I didn't say they were gonna let
it go. I said, it's not going anywhere outside of
the space of what we actually do.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
That's the camera.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
It's good if it's going to continue, it's going to
continue here, which is a good thing, you know, for
those it's it's entertaining, it's fun, it's attracting eyes and
viewers to each said. Individuals, podcasts, or people want to
hear what's being said, whether whether it's good or whether
it's bad, and at some point they'll die out because
football season is right around the corner.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
You're right about that, Yeah, but you a it's something
about us man. We we a we polarizing the Jalen Hurts,
Lamar Jackson, Man.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Those conversations around those individuals you just name, it gets
very passionate. Yeah, for them, it gets very passionate.
Speaker 5 (22:55):
So we need to find me somebody that's that's passionate
about me like they passionate about Lamar and Jay Hurts.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Hey, Hey, I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
No, I don't want nothing, need I'll toss it.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
For you now, don't don't do that. You're good.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
I got to make sure I turn this here on
the night. I don't know what has going on down here. Damn.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
I feel like, ooh, I don't listen. I listen when
when I when I when the show is on. It's
two things I'm not gonna do. I'm not gonna be
using my electricity and the AC unit. At the same time,
you ain't for them. I ain't for the run. My
goddamn Bill Scott hash shipped me.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Yeah, I'll be running, sir, it's gonna be I ever
got one of the other hold on, hold on, so
you come home, oh Joe, and it be hot? Does
I don't know what in the house. Yeah, running much man.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Listen, my light bill will never be over a hundred
one hundred dollars never ever. I unplugged everything out the sockets.
Uh uh everything. If it's not you, I'm unplugging.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
I can't joke. I can't come on high.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
I got my I got I keep my air at
six date degrees six D. That's called yeah, baby.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Man, listen, we're in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Get off, Get off.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
You can wait till you get in the house. You
can wait till you get in the house and then
turn the A C on. Having it running you you
wasting money, You waste electricity.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
It's somebody here, It's always somebody. We got to keep
it on. O Joe, Yeah, all right, O yo.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Jamar Chase, ESPN's top rated receiver has a bone depict
with Madden ratings adjusted, and here's rating of him.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Let's take a listen to what Jamar I had to say.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I think I called my rating and I called Chad
right away, and I told him this is wrong rating.
What was all about? It wasn't nine nine? Se was
gonna fix her. I hope he is. I mean, if he.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Don't get mad at him, Hey, I don't wait him
on that. I agree. I think you should be bout
ninety nine.
Speaker 3 (25:09):

Speaker 3 (30:17):
You know, man technology?
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Here you go though, that's all the signals far left
as coverages. I've seen you a better list show in
the calls. But when they run quarters and none, the
safeties can throw between no en re routes and slid
blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Bett living North U s t A.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
I think that's University of Texas San Antonio ending up
winning the game for thirty six?
Speaker 2 (30:45):
What d boy got going on? Man?
Speaker 3 (30:48):
You think that's real? Tho is has been confirmed? Its
allegedly Yeah, yeah, allegedly. Oh no, because if this was real,
it it would have made a lot more noise than
caught a lot more traction.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
I don't know if it's I mean, we have to
see when it got released, because maybe nobody knew about it.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Damn, I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 5 (31:15):
He cast today, man, he cast the Hey they have
a good time, man, Oh joe, Hey, these boys in
college living their best life?
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Man? What trying to talk? Oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Do you see the story about Malik Beasley how he
owed the barb twenty some thousand do? I'm like, how
much the man? If you all barbered twenty some thousand dollars,
you ain't paid? This man saying he was a kid
all the way tonight. This man will cut your hair
for thirty years for free besides cut hell too, ain't no, yeah, man,
(31:45):
I'm like, come on, bro, look, I mean normally you
fly the guy. I don't know how you guys do it,
but the way it works, like, if you fly your
barber out, you have to pay him for all the
haircuts that he missed. So if he comes out he
was gonna cut hair on Friday, he's gonna cut hair
on Saturday. You making him miss that. You got to
(32:05):
compensate that man for that. That's what I did. I
fly my barber out, I fly him in. I get
him a rental car and all the haircuts, all the
money that he would have made cutting it. I compensated
for that massage therapist. It's the same thing. So I
don't know, you can't fly barber out. I say, okay, bro,
hair is one hundred dollars. Our hair is three hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Oh, you have to pay him for the cuts that
he lost out on Friday inside, right.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Even if you even buying his flight. Yeah, yeah, yes,
and you got you put you put him up. I
mean Joe stayed, you know, Joe stayed at the house.
But when I was in Baltimore. I would fly him in.
He's from Harrisburg. Joe would come in. He cut my
hair like September, Like September, first of October. We started losing.
(32:53):
I said, I said, inn you bad. Look you can
come in, but you ain't cutting my hair no more.
I got him a rental car. He go, he go
see his uh, he go to Hashburg, like a forty
minute drive. I see him at the game. He up
out of there.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
But but twenty on how you get up to that number?
I don't know. Yeah, I don't either. I don't either.
I don't either. Now these guys be I don't know
what these guys though.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Man, Man, listen, that's a lot. That's a lot of bread.
Twenty eight thousand dollars for her cut.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
He gotta do something on and cut half. I can't.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
I can't relate on.
Speaker 6 (33:32):
You know.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
I cut my own here. I got my tea line
of clippers. I got my tea line of clippers I've
had for years and whenever I got to go somewhere,
I just cut it myself.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
Man.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Matter of fact, I need a haircut right now. I
gotta I gotta shoot the New York tomorrow. I gotta
shoot in New York tomorrow all the way to Monday,
you know, take care of a business and shave up
through some stuff. Man United going to watch Man United play.
I'm doing some stuff with esp and on Monday, you know,
so you know, I'm I'm gonna give him my makeup
and get me headlined and get do that whatnot.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
So you know.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Yeah, like I said, I don't know if there's any
truth for this, but if I mean, it's gonna come out.
But guys, you're gonna get ping if you if you're
an athlete, and they're like, hold on this, guys, somebody
keep betting under or somebody keep betting this.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
There's a pattern to this.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
O JO and you ojo, but you're making sixteen you
making seven, eight, ten million dollars.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Come on, man, y'all willing to risk that. Gambling? Y'all
know how gamble. You y'all know that in the sports,
you could do a lot of things. But you can't.
You can't. You can't do that.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Yeah, yeah, listen, everybody has advice, and a lot of
players have a vice when it comes to gambling. I'm
not sure what a lot of players have a vice
when to come to uh drinking. I'm not sure if
that's a vice or consideringvice for any time it gets
in the way of what you do and it gets
in the way. Yes, absolutely, it's harmful.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
I don't see how.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
I don't see how gambling could be that exciting when
you make such when you make such an abnormal amount
of money to where the small amounts you make gambling,
it wouldn't be that fun. Hows it even that that fun?
Speaker 2 (35:21):
But I don't know. It's I get game. I get game.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
You're playing poker, you're playing black jack, a million dollars
a hand, so in thirty seconds, boom, I want a
million dollars.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Who wha time.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
About talking about who the hell playing blackjack with a
million dollars a hand?
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Oh then people that play that, people play two fifty
five hundred thousand. Yeah, they're called waves like a video
game into our real life.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Real life. But they got video game.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Ain't nobody paying on me? And then come on, come on, now,
come on now, come on.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Man, I'm talking about the back room back then they
playing back then.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Oh yeah, for sure, Oh yeah, them big whales come
in there. They they'll mess up your quarterly earnings. Mm hmm, bakarah, Yeah, poker.
They come in there. Oh yeah, because it's the excitement,
it's the thrill of it. It's like sky diving. It's
like it's like, you know, racing cars or something like that.
(36:20):
You get them adrenaline rush.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Where is the goddamn excitement and adrilline in the rush?
And losing a million to five hundred thousand in one hand?
Speaker 2 (36:29):
But what if you win a million dollars five hundred thousand?
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Who got the goddamn money?
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Come on, all right, that is my business boy. They
got plenty of people got money like that. There used
to be a place out there on Benyons. Benya was
the only place that I've ever heard that your first
bet could be it. So if you come in there
says I want to bet a million dollars on the
craft table, on the black jack table, he would accept it.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
Hey, you are to go.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
You are to go to Vegas and let him tell
you the story about the dude named Arnie. There was
a dude named Arnie and he.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
Had like Arnie, Arnie, Arnie Arnie Ornstein.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
From He had no not Ornie. His name was Arnie.
He's he was an immigrant.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
But anyway he had he was up on the horseshoe,
probably thirty forty million dollars.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
They had.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
They had to go to his room to get five
th and twenty five hundred dollars chips because he had
them all. He wasn't satisfied. He said, I want all
the money. He lost it all back. Feel like he
was up like thirty forty million dollars.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
The story and he lost it all back, lost it
all back. Were he at were he hot tail up
out of that? When you are yes, Oh yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
Telling that I wouldn't have been there taking that goddamn chance,
because if you got the money to be able to
bet that, what the fuck I'm doing it in the
first place?
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Oh Joe, If you see like you do like your excitement,
you say you like riding bulls and you like doing
things for excitement.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
There your guard see matter of fact, he do me
a favor. If uh, somebody's gonna see this. For those
of you that are whales, if you see this, could
you please send me a d M. I would love
just just to sit there and watch that. That's exciting
to me.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
You might be bad luck? Why would I be bad luck?
Speaker 3 (38:30):
Everything I touched her to go.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Well, yeah, yeah, uh, Larry Flynt used to be like,
who is Larry fly used to be what was it
Penninghouse or hustle?
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Oh I know you're about Okay, okay, okay, yeah, okay,
I know you're.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
About Carry Packard, the Australian billionaire.
Speaker 5 (38:51):
They doing it for fun, man, They I mean, they're
gonna they want to win a little bit, but they
don't mind losing a few.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
Man.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
You see Drake may You see Drake be betting three
millions of betting five hundred thousand million dollars.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Joy Mayweather.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
I've heard the Jordan stories. But Jordan his his the
revenue that his stream of income is different.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
He can he can loco these guys that's bet and
they got way more for the guy that's be bet
like this, they got more money than Jordan.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
Yeah. It's the thrill, man, the thrill. They get a thrill.
Yeah they do. Yeah, that ain't me. No, I stopped.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
I used to go out there, you know, I go
out there bet, you know, I bet. You know, hey,
like hey, Shan in the NFL. Shannon got kids in
private school, she got kids going to college.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
College for him.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
Just listen listen, I'm putting out a p s A.
If you are well and you you you gamble, I
would love I just I just want to see it.
I just want to be there when I'm obviously you know,
I don't know you.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Know who you know who gambles like that, gambles like
seventy five one hundred hundred fifty thousand dollars hand.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
They ain't a white Yeah yeah, yeah that she.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
I'm not trying to see that. Huh. I ain't trying
to see that. I'm trying to see the people that
gamble five hundred thousand for a million dollars a hand.
I want to see I want to see that at first.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
But they are a lot of times they like they
don't let want people to know because they don't want
nobody the casino.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
To get them.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
What do you mean get them?
Speaker 2 (40:21):
Huh?
Speaker 4 (40:22):
So?
Speaker 1 (40:22):
I so I fly you in on a private yet
I pick you up, bring you in because I don't
if you got that kind of money, I don't want
the other casinos to know you.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
Okay, okay, okay, okay oko.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
I don't want I don't want nobody to know who
you are. That's that's that's really damn.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
I got to keep that to speaking of gambling. Speaking
of gambling, I mean, obviously I don't do it. But
this movie was phenomenal. This movie was very, very good.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Well round the Gambler.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
Please send me saw theme We had to go onto
the Shark, and I think he went to his mama
for a last thy uh. I think her last twenty
fifty thousand. She said, this is the last twenty fifty
thousand to give you. He got beat up out of Shark.
Michael K Mike K.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
Williams in it.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Yo, oh man, that that movie was good my world,
and that was like people in the real world can't
be like this. That's impossible. You lost money, then you go,
you go borrow money again.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
That's yes, that's how you That's how you get in
debt to the Shark. That's how you get in debt
to the.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Man.
Speaker 3 (41:24):
I don't want no party.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Oh no, you remember the.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Movie round I never saw that one. I never saw that.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Yeah, man, Matt dam when he played Edward Norman was
in it.
Speaker 3 (41:41):
Yeah, Edward Norton, the one from Primal Fear with Richard
Gear Yes, yes, boy.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
You can act. I like him. I got it. Rounders
rounders real good.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Dwayne Wade says is a top three player of all
time and goes off on Bleacher Report for ranking him
eleventh on their all time list. If you ask us
Hooper who played against Cole, all of us are going
to talk top three of all time. I agree, Yeah,
So what about the guys that played against Kareem? Where
(42:19):
we're gonna rank Kareem, all the guys that played, all
the guys that played against Jordan.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Somebody. I'm not saying Kobe should be eleven.
Speaker 5 (42:28):
I'm not.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
Look, whatever the case may be, but you see what
you see what Jordan? Jordan got number one, and I
think the lawyer's heat rank was like two or three.
Lebron the highest heat rank was two. Maybe the lawyers
heat rank was like three. So for the most part,
people have been having Jordan going back and forth. Okay,
wherever you go. Hey, look, you can debate this until
(42:52):
the cows come home. But and I've said this, Joe,
the guy that gets undervalue the most is Kareem abdu
it yep.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
I agree, because he had he had the uh, he
had the scoring record for the longest.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
He had it for forty years until Lebron broke it. Yeah,
when he got he had it for almost forty years.
Nobody thought. They didn't think nobody. First of all, big
guys played that long. Because after you get to a
certain point, a Kareem, a Kareem get the rebound to
kick it out. Ay magic will hold that thing up.
Let Kareem get down there to the block. Kareem throw
that hand up. They throw it to him. He throw
(43:29):
the skyhook, go back down. Nobody thought anybody was gonna
break it, because even when Karl Malong got close, Karma
long body fell apart. Klobe Kobe started falling apart, Jordan
started the body started breaking down. So they ain't nobody
gonna break it. They didn't think nobody could break it.
But he got six MVPs six, He got more than anybody.
(43:55):
And back then the last that was the last year
that the players were allowed to vote. The players come
up with the MVP Joe. They don't let it. They
don't let it happen no more.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
No, because in sixty two was it sixty two? I think,
uh no, no, no, I don't understand.
Speaker 5 (44:14):
I don't understand why why the players can't vote. They
think it's favoritism. Yeah, don't think they'll kick you real.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
No, they're not. Because of my friend, my buddy. That's
how it was for the Pro Bowl. Hey man, man,
he's such and such a man. Make sure you vote
for such and so. No, y'all ain't gonna keep it real.
Let's be real. We got friends and they on the ballot.
I'm gonna vote for him. Hey, Plus, he in a contract.
You're knowing that if he makes first the second team
all NBA, guess what he gets.
Speaker 5 (44:45):
He gets a Super Bowl? Then here, but then here's
the thing. Then we leave it in the hands of
people who never played it in the sport before. And
now now you're still gonna have a draw back from that.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
You're not gonna Yeah, you're not gonna You're not gonna
be able to pee a pe. Everybody, somebody gonna have.
Somebody's gonna be upset what you say. So let me
ask you this, Joe, you played the game. Where was
ranked from all those guys? So you got him in
the top you got him in the top five. I
(45:16):
was thinking more like two guardists. I ain't know what
he was talking about, like the whole league. Yeah, because
they see they didn't, right, they didn't rant position. They
ranked the top what was it? The top twenty five,
the top one hundred, and ask can you pop the
list up right? Okay, there it is. There was the
top one hundred. Number one was Michael Jordan. Number two
was Lebron James. Number three was Kareem ab Jeorgijabbar. Number
(45:40):
four was Magic Johnson. Number five with Shaquille O'Neill. Number
seven is Tim Duncan, Number eleven is Larry Bird, Number
nine is Wilt Chamberlain. Number ten is Stephen Curry. Number
eleven was Kobe.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
But that's tough. No, I got it. I'm gonna have
to put him in the top ten. I don't know
who I'm taking now. But see that's the thing. Oh Joe,
what's that? Yeah? What is that?
Speaker 3 (46:15):
You can see that?
Speaker 2 (46:17):
It's blurry? Damn?
Speaker 4 (46:20):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (46:21):
Me and Kobe sitting there arguing that news cafe.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
Yeah, when you take when you who you taking out,
You're taking out Jordan, You're taking out Lebron, Kareem, Magic, Russell,
Shaq Duncan, Bird, Will Curry. Because I guarantee you guys
that played against Magic Johnson say, Magic Johnson's coming out
of the top five guys that played against Shaq. Tim
(46:48):
Duncan is very underrated, very underrated. Larry Bird, Well, I
mean what we do will will what we'll we'll average
what it will average. He wasn't MVP as a rookie
already in twenty seven? Who go who gonna get twenty?
Speaker 2 (47:13):
Man? The numbers he put up were you buys?
Speaker 1 (47:18):
What just you might as well just take you might
as well just start over, say you know what, we
want somebody to really realistically have a chance of getting
the rebounds. And so because you're not gonna get it.
But even if you did that, ain't nobody gonna catch kareem.
Ain't nobody go care? Ain't no, it ain't no rebounds.
First of all, the guys shoot too well now, they
(47:39):
don't miss that many shots in order for you to
get the will got the record with fifty five rebounds
in the game.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Nobody getting fifty five rebounds in the game.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
I can't remember. I can't remember. I don't know if
anybody I can't. I think the most rebounds I think
somebody's gotten that. I can remember. It's probably thirty four
to thirty five. So just think you still fifteen rebound short.
So you're not gonna get that. The question is if
we put Kobe in the top ten, who we take
(48:09):
it out. That's a good question because if you if
you look, if you look at it, if you look
at let's let's be real, only two guys. Only one
guy in the top ten got one regular season MVP.
That's Shack, but he got three postseason MVPs. Mike got five,
(48:29):
Jordan got four, Kareem's got six, Magic's got three, Russell's
got five, Duncan's got three.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
Duncan's got two MVPs.
Speaker 1 (48:38):
I think two with regular seasons, Bird got three, Wilt
has four, Steph Curry has two. Okay finals MVPs, Jordan
has six, Lebron has four, Kareem has two, Magic has three.
They didn't have that with Russell. Shaq has three, Duncan
(48:58):
has three, Bird has two. They didn't have that they
had Uh. I think we'll have a chance to get
it once so and Curry has one Finals MVP. It's
tougher than you think it really is because it can't
(49:23):
just be about scoring. It's got to be about all
Star games, finals, finals, MVPs, regular season m vps, all
NBA's I think all that has to factor in.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
So what So let's just say, for.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
The sake of argument, we're gonna put him in that
We're gonna put him in the top of level. Are
we kicking Steph out? Are we kicking wild out? We're
kicking Larry out? We kicking Duncan, shot Russell Magic way somehow, Well,
you got to take somebody out. You take lebron if
Jordan Kareem Magic. We're gonna get him in, but we
(50:05):
ain't gonna get itim in it. That was expense, Chad,
who y'all want out? We kick it out after chat
and who we kick it out to get cobD to
top ten.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
That's I just think that. I think it's hard. I
think it's hard. Yeah, damn.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
Eras errors makes it difficult because people like well, I
can't take Bill Russell Loe. He got eleven championships. He
got eleven championships in five MVPs.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Shaq was as.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
Dominant as anybody's ever played the game. Tim Duncan two
and three fifteen times all in all defensive selection Bird
with the last guy to win three consecutive mv P
well one four, Stephan got two.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
That's the hell class yeah, Chatty said to put Kobe
in there.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
Mm hmm, Hey, I don't. I don't understand why Kobe
Bryant is getting so much disrespect with all these lists
with him being.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
What's disrespect what's disrespectful? Oh Joe?
Speaker 3 (51:29):
The only the people that actually played against Kobe actually
have him much higher than those that didn't play against him.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
But here's the thing, A lot of this happened when
Kobe passed because I remember the number when Kobe was alive,
people saying he was a ball hog and he was selfish.
The very people that said he was a ball hog
is selfish. They praised and Lottie, they praised and lotted
him in depth when they didn't give him that praise
and adulation. He's alive, right, Okay, they say Kobe is
(52:00):
top three, So d Wade, who are you taking out
of the top three? You're taking Jordan Lebron or Kareem
Mount because you said he's top three.
Speaker 2 (52:08):
That's what I need today, a.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
Listening knowing d Wade just based off he would probably
take he would probably take Kareem.
Speaker 5 (52:18):
Out, the man that was the all time leading score
despite despite exactly what you getting ready to say, Yes, with.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
Six m vps, Yes, with five championships. Yes, the all
time leads score. Taking him out, Joe, So.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
You take it. You're taking lab out.
Speaker 1 (52:38):
Four regular season MVPs, four finals, MVPs, twenty one time
All Star twenty one No. Twenty one time All Star,
twenty one time All NBA selection, three, three finals, three
uh All Star Game MVPs. You're taking Jordan now they
(53:02):
have an agent, Okay. So, so I just want to know.
D Wade said he's top three. I just want to
know who he's taking out of the top three to
put Coked in.
Speaker 5 (53:10):
I'm gonna have to ask d Wade that I don't know.
I'm having a hard time. I'm having a hard time
getting him in there, top.
Speaker 3 (53:19):
Three, you know what I'm finn I'm finna ask him.
Speaker 1 (53:27):
Because because the way you do it, Like, Okay, such
a sun should have made it, because you y'all do
usually something. Joe, such and such should have made the
All Star Game. Okay, if I take the All Star team,
if I take if I put him in, who am
I taking out? O?
Speaker 2 (53:39):
Joe?
Speaker 1 (53:39):
We do this all the time with the Pro Bowl.
Man such and such should have made it. I said, well,
O Yoe, who you taking out?
Speaker 2 (53:46):
Mm hmm, I get it.
Speaker 3 (53:47):
Yeah, it gets tough.
Speaker 1 (53:50):
So that so forgetting the top ten, d Wade didn't
say he should have been top ten. D Wade said
he should have been top three. So with that being said,
that means Jordan Lebron or Kareem has to come out
if there's no way other round it, because you can't
have I don't think that. Maybe they did a little
(54:12):
later down, but nobody was they had, you know, okay,
but two guys at number four, two guys at number
twelve or thirteen, Michael, Jordan Lebron, James Kareem.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
I do it, pray what again?
Speaker 3 (54:28):
I'm telling you who he's taken out? You know he
ain't taken out Jordan. You know he ain't taken out.
He taking out Cap, going to take out Kareem. Despite
all the accolades that you just ran down. I guarantee you.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
People don't realize how good Korea was. He's gonna win
the third MVP had he not messed his ankle up.
Because go back and look at the numbers when Magic
won the finals MVP. Go back and look at Kareem's numbers,
balling thirty three and fourteen. That's what he was averaging. Yeah,
(55:10):
Kareem had some years where he was thirty two and sixteen.
Like I said, just go back and look at Kareem's career. Look,
I understand a lot of people didn't like Kareem. A
lot of people didn't like that he changed his name
because he wasn't originally Kareem abdu with Jabbar. He was
a very surly. He didn't get along with a lot
of Kareem ain't take no junk. Go back, you did
something to Kareem. Kareem was punching you in your face.
(55:32):
It was really that simple. He rubbed a lot of reports.
That's why he ain't get no job. That's why he's
getting no head coaching job. Think about all the greats
that wanted to coach got an opportunity coach, Bill Russell,
Sam Jones, Jerry West, K C. Jones, Tom Hinson. There
were a lot of greats, el Jim Baylor, a lot
of the greats that wanted to Kareem never got that opportunity.
Speaker 2 (55:57):
Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, he was a bad boy man.
He hey, he probably had the one.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
The media didn't like the media that the player loved it,
but the Playoff loved it because you know how I
know the Playoff loved it, Mojo.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
They voted him six times m VP.
Speaker 3 (56:18):
That man.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
So, but that's what I give Wade the Nightcab crew,
my Oh, Joe, Joe, and myself.
Speaker 2 (56:28):
You said Kobe is top three. I need to know
who you take it out of that top three. That's it.
Speaker 5 (56:36):
Somebody's got to come out you. You can't have four
guys in the top three. He ain't, I'm gonna tell
you now. M J made the game sexy. He ain't
take m J out of that, Okay, And man, do
you know he ain't taking Bruin out of that? That
man every every buncket he scores in history books, everything,
(57:01):
he just he got a Joe, he got a cake
and he done got ice on it. And they all
he do is just keep every time he every time
he touched the flow. Yep, hey, he gonna make making it.
He making it hard and harder for the next person
who would even think they're gonna catch him.
Speaker 1 (57:17):
Yes, in the All Star Games, do you realize the
man got twenty one straight start All Star Game starts.
Speaker 2 (57:23):
It's not gonna have the ladies and gentlemen, no sound.
Speaker 1 (57:30):
And Kareem got nineteen starts in the All Star Game.
Shaq had some words for Rudy Gobert. Let's take a
listen to what Shaq had to say about Ruth.
Speaker 2 (57:41):
Hey, Rudy Gobert, why don't you like Rudy?
Speaker 6 (57:45):
Don't deserve it though, as the president of the Big
Man Lions, you're making big money.
Speaker 2 (57:50):
Play like a big man. That's it.
Speaker 6 (57:53):
Play like a big man. Throw some bowls, knock some
people out. Don't be letting the little white dudes from
Denver dunk on you and talk to you. Then you
got to grab him by the nine second. Come on, bro,
that's it if you're gonna get paid big money.
Speaker 7 (58:07):
I just want Shaq to still be on TV when
Rudy gets into the Hall of Fame, because it's gonna if.
Speaker 6 (58:12):
Rudy Gobert gets him to the Hall of Fame. Gobert
gets to the Hall of Fame, All well, it's dressed
to the mother ceremony.
Speaker 5 (58:22):
Hey get ready, Hey, look, I think with Shaq, because
Rudy is not an offensive guy, meaning he ain't shooting
the ball outside the paint. So hey, they ain't never
gonna get Rudy no credit on that. He is a
defensive bier. He he Hey, timing is everything, man, you
know he he came along at the right time. But
(58:43):
if you looking for him to offensively while you when
you think he has a mismatch, I think that's kind
of like what Shaq thinking. He like, man, he ain't
dominating the game. Like you getting paid two hundred something million,
You can't dominate.
Speaker 2 (58:57):
Shock.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
Like Shaq was going up to people, three people. If
you didn't have at least three people on SHOCKO.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
It wasn't even faund.
Speaker 6 (59:05):
You.
Speaker 1 (59:05):
Every team that Shock played against they had three bigs.
They are eighteen files. To give up Ojo, Yeah, because
two guys fire listen or they're gonna have ten pounds.
Speaker 5 (59:15):
Oh Joe I came in and oh one. That was Shock.
Shaq was still in like the prime of him. That
was the Apex Shock two thousand and one, two three. Yeah,
you can give it up, brother, Hey, we're gonna try
to get as much help as we can. You gotta
fight him. Yeah, it was it was unreal to try
(59:35):
and stop that do he was so huge and agile.
Speaker 2 (59:38):
I was like, it was unreal, bro. It was unreal.
Speaker 1 (59:44):
That's fine, Shack, shatg go, let it go. And the
thing is, here's the problem that you're running to deserve.
I mean, deserve is a very very tricky word because
sometimes we get God's mercy and grace when we don't
(01:00:04):
deserve it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
I look at it like this notepad man.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
Rudy's earned the money based on what they pay his
body of work. He's earned one hundred million, two hundred million,
whatever they pay him. Shack, ain't no shock. If you
waiting on somebody to be like you, you never gonna
see it with your own eyes in your lifetime.
Speaker 5 (01:00:30):
Analytically, when they when they look at it from that
point of view, he dominates the game, you know what
I mean? I mean, you know, yeah, so they looking
at it from a Distan perspective nowadays. But yeah, I
kind of I kind of understand what Shaq is talking about.
But Rudy's just not an offensive guy.
Speaker 6 (01:00:48):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
He can't. He ain't scoring outside that paint period.
Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
And you know what it is, Joe, and it looks
worse than this era because the scoring is up. See
if he was back in Shaq's era, he's been perfect.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
Because they never say anything about Rick Smiz, they did
say anything. They didn't say anything about Dwight Howard. But
Dwight had some years where he was twenty, he averaged
twenty points and twelve fourteen rebounds. So Dwight Howard was
always more of an offensive threat than Rudy Gobert. But
you look at Ben Wallace, So he's looking at it
(01:01:24):
in today's time when you got four or five guys
averaging thirty, and you got fifteen twenty thirty, twenty guys
averaging twenty and shock like bro you seven three, you
seven one seven three, and Bro, you giving twelve points
a game.
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
And so Shaggy look at it like bro for two
point fifty.
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
If Daddie Shack's looking at it, Shack taking Shack said,
if Dad played me two fifty, I can't forty.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
Absolutely absolutely, that's not Shank's thinking.
Speaker 5 (01:01:52):
Hey, y'all don't think the Hey, these guys look at
these contracts and the money that these dudes making nowadays.
If y'all don't think they look at it and kind
of frown upon its mother. They can't help it because
you can only put yourself in that position like man
if I was around this time, I'll be making X
amount of you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
Yes, but what you think?
Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
What you think will and mister Russell was thinking when
they making twenty thousand dollars a year and they see
guys making seventeen eighteen million a year the same thing,
don't ye mean? Look, I'm looking at these guys now.
We talked about George Kittle, he's making nineteen million, Ozzie
and killing and Mike Dicker and and uh John MCKEI.
(01:02:35):
They looking at me when I was making what I
was making, the money I was making. And guess what,
in ten years from now, they're gonna be a guy
making one hundred million dollars a year in basketball a
hundie because they say ant Man could possibly be making
eighty two million in twenty twenty seven season twenty seven
to twenty eight, ant Man could possibly get the highest
(01:02:56):
contract eighty two million a year, a million dollars a game.
Speaker 5 (01:03:00):
Yeah, man, hey, hey man, we have to pay respects
to the people who came before us, because yes, hey,
the money these dudes making now, boy, it's ridiculous. Shaq
also bet Mike Tyson that Klay Thompson's new relationship with
(01:03:22):
Meg the Stallion won't last board the sixth week.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
Man. She watched shack Man like this, hey man, just
give the opinion.
Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
Many in the gym they going golf and they're doing
all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
I'm happy for Clay living in best like Maine there, y'all.
I mean that's that's what. Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Yeah, I think it's I think it's different now. I
think with social media, who do I think like athletes
dated like celebs and entertainment.
Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Sure, but they kept it hush hush. Now you can.
Speaker 5 (01:04:08):
Get a picture anywhere now, yeah, yeah, yeah, Now I
think now Joe and O Joe, it's hey, you cross,
or you're an athlete or something.
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
You want to date a meg the statiu, or you
want to date a glow rilla, or you want to
date you know whomever.
Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
I don't want to throw nobody's name out there, because
you know, see, somebody try to be messing. So but
I'm just saying, if you are an athlete and you're
sauts Gardener's dating somebody, he dating somebody, what I thanks.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Yeah, So in the situation you go.
Speaker 5 (01:04:39):
Out to eat, y'all might just be in the As
my grandma say to cold and fade, y'all.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
You don't know you know what I mean? You can't
do nothing nowadays, oh Joe, No.
Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
No, no, but listen, if you want to hide, it's
high as possible if you really want to hide.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Yeah, but but see, but here's the thing, oh Jo,
A lot of people like what you hide me from?
Do you got something that you don't You tried me?
You don't want people to know about me? You got
somebody over here? Yeah, ain't, man, I know it's like
their privacy, bro, they do, Joe. Everybody don't want to
(01:05:20):
be like you out there like that, Oh Joe, dead serious, bro.
Some people really like the chill, bro. They don't really
be in that for the for the for the hooping and.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
Highland bro for real.
Speaker 5 (01:05:32):
Yeah okay, all right, So you mean telling me nowadays
when when people date, if I ain't got it, if
I ain't got you splaying it all over mine, I'm
doing something like matter.
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
Of fact, you know, even if you are splat all
these for Friday, ain't ain't stopping done, ain't changing, ain't changing.
You're not going to do a sit on here and
act like come on now.
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
No Ojo, I'm not saying that that doesn't happen. But
some people like their privacy, that's all. Everybody don't want
to date publicly. Everybody don't want to be in a
public relationship because guess what, everybody because the moment you
make it public, you get everybody feel like they have
the ability to chime in. And so if you break up,
(01:06:21):
if you break up, if you date publicly, what you
got to do? How you break up on?
Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
Yo?
Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
Probably? But everybody don't like that. Oyo, I like it.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
It don't bother me.
Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
I like it. Okay, that's you.
Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
I go through the same stuff the regular people. I'm
regular too, but we all go through the same ship.
What am I heding?
Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
Fuck?
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
They just deal with it internally because it's like when
you say, hey, some people greeth differently.
Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
Listen. It's good though. If you date publicly and you
break up public publicly, then you have your supporters to
help you. Code Steve Boom. There you go, see why
you want to break up. And then you sitting at
home crying you.
Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
Ain't got to be doing.
Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
You ain't got to do all that, and who's just
saying Who's just saying you're not doing that? Even though
you're putting on that front.
Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
I don't know, I don't do I don't do no crime.
I'm just saying I don't like. I don't like your
tone towards me.
Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
No, I'm just saying, just because you out there, you
saying a lot of times people be doing things publicly
and privately, they broke, they unhappy.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Okay, that's a man. Nobody looking at you. No, no,
damn way saying.
Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
I'm just I'm just saying every I think everybody should
stop hiding. If they stop hiding, you know, and you
do everything publicly, then you you know exactly what you're
getting yourself into.
Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
There's that's why there are two different words private and public,
because if everybody want to do what they wouldn't need it,
they wouldn't need a problem.
Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
Slow.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
Most of the time they want to be private and
keep everything else they got going on nice hush.
Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
And just because you public and just because you public,
that don't mean you do you you do you still
doing that?
Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
Yeah, you're right, You're right all all depending on who
you are.
Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
Let's get out of here on this one. Now, it's
time for our final segment. But evening. Now it's time
for Q and A man, oh yourn some bull joy.
Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
Yeah, yeah, just living.
Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Jay Breeses say so glad to have our own Big
three back.
Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
We missed you. I so we wish you a super
fast recovery. Guys, what match are you most excited to?
Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
To come this NFL seed? It's season on out the gate?
You got what's called You got Baltimore Buffalo out the gate? Yeah,
we got Cowboys got from.
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
The Cowboys got I think that. I think the Cowboys
opened up with Dallas. What you mean we opened up
with Dallas. Cowboys open up? Who Eagles night? I think
that's I think that.
Speaker 5 (01:09:06):
That's what I'm looking for it to. Man, I'm looking
for these boys to get off to a great star
hear me. Come on now, you gotta chier.
Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
In Philly. They whoever win the Super Bowl opened up
at home.
Speaker 5 (01:09:23):
Okay, they're gonna put Look, that's really good time to
go in there and pop them too while they while
they celebrating. Uh, they got a lot going on that week,
probably got family all the time. Might will come down
and thump them. It might be a good game to
get No. No, so who the Eagles open up with?
Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
As you said, the Cowboys at the Eagles on Sunday
Night football, But they opened up Thursday night. So who
the Eagles open up with? Yeah, it's Thursday, Joe, it's Thursday.
Who they open up with the Cowboys at the Eagle
on Thursday night.
Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
That's gonna be a a game.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
And then you got that's gonna be that's gonna be,
that's gonna do a monster number. I'm my monster boy boy.
I know a I know Fox like O Lord have Mercer.
How y'all get that game? How do we get that
from Ben him? And then hold on? Do Buffalo is
Buffalo at uh at uh as the Ravens at Buffalo?
(01:10:21):
Is that Sunday night? Or is that a CBS game?
I know they ain't finna get a cow get NBC
the Cowboys, Eagle and Baltimore u uh Buffalo?
Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
Oh my gosh, back to back to back.
Speaker 2 (01:10:44):
Yes, Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
And I think I think now, oh Joe, they'll flex,
They'll flex Thursday night games late in the season, because
you know, they flexed Sunday night games. Oh Joe, I
think now they have the ability to flex Thursday.
Speaker 3 (01:11:02):
You know what I just thought about what remember I
asked you that idea? What that I can do for
our age group, like streaming.
Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
Wise, you're trying to be a streamer, Like.
Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
No, I already already stream I already stream anyway. I
mean that's playing video games. I'm talking about like moving,
like moving around.
Speaker 7 (01:11:23):
What if I go to all the games? Huh, go ahead,
you're gonna come with me? No, no, no, no, I
want a critique. I like the critique and critique too.
Speaker 1 (01:11:35):
Oh tell you if it's hard to watch all the
games when you at a when you at a stadium,
it's virtually impossible because people talking to you, they want
to know what you think. But you do what you
feel you need to do. Oh, they got a Friday
game too. The Chiefs played the Chargers on YouTube. So
(01:11:58):
they got a Thursday, a Friday, and then this Sunday. Wow,
but who the Monday night game? The Monday night Minnesota
at Chicago. Some cowboys ain't gonna play no games this year. Man,
that's all y'all doing. We're finna get, we finna get.
(01:12:21):
Michael tookn't care. He just need to hold on Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
Nah.
Speaker 5 (01:12:26):
Nah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
They already told her y'all to talk about Hey, just
because we signed that, Jered said, without men y'all know
that man gonna be paid for the game one.
Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
I don't know nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
Well, he ain't even practicing.
Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
Hey, he ain't even.
Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
No, it ain't okay because he gonna go from zero
to one hundred an hour without practice. That's the problem.
Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
Nick Mars says, I love O Joe, but the fact
that brought your high school jersey just to make you
bad gives him nightcap trash talk championship. Yeah, send him
his jersey after I bought the jersey. Joke about sending me,
send him his jersey.
Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
I bought those.
Speaker 3 (01:13:08):
I don't know where you where you brought them from.
Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
It doesn't matter their mind. I purchased them.
Speaker 3 (01:13:13):
Okay, Well, can I have them?
Speaker 6 (01:13:15):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:13:17):
You got a signature on them?
Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Up?
Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
No, it's his high school jerseys. At least gotta sign No,
I know what I'm saying. I don't know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
I just like that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
It's like having them.
Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
Come sat and said at this point, oh, yo, owe
the chat some money? Also he does he owe y'all.
San France SF said, if we can name another top
seven quarterback who threw for under three thousand yards and
twenty touchdowns in the season, but won the Super Bowl MVP,
then Cam is wrong. If not, then he's correct. But
(01:13:58):
the Super Bowl MVP, it's different. The super Bowl MVP
is the Super Bowl, right, The regular season m VP
is the regular season.
Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
They're two separate things. Yeah, two separate things there that
I don't get.
Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
Through under three thousand yard name another top seven quarterback.
I mean if you go back in history, but they're
throwing the ball now. I mean, we can go back
and forth on this. Jalen is doing what they ask
to do. Go said, who wins a versus Beyonce versus Rihanna?
Between Rihanna has more number one hits than Beyonce. Who
(01:14:44):
wins versus?
Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
That's not my area. That's not my area expertise.
Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
They need to bring versus. You don't think they're gonna
bring it back.
Speaker 3 (01:14:56):
There's no reason to bring it back right now. I mean,
there's too much, too much other stuff going on. It
was perfect because it was COVID, So everybody was locked
in because.
Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
We'll lock back in. If you get from people gonna
come back around.
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
Well, I hope they hope they COVID or another another
something they give us locked in that we have to
have it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
No o we.
Speaker 5 (01:15:25):
Man, Rialny can't do no verses. She she got a
baby on the board. That'll be a mean vibe hunt Beyonce. Yes, lord,
you say she got more number one than Beyonce. That's
what he said.
Speaker 2 (01:15:39):
I don't know. We'd have to we'd have to go
to uh have to look.
Speaker 5 (01:15:44):
Ain't no way they're gonna let her lose no verses. Now,
I'm telling you all that letting her lose no verses? Man, Yeah, yeah, man?
What what what are Rihanna?
Speaker 6 (01:15:54):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Rihanna fans what they call?
Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
What they Because Nikki got the bars, Beyonce got to
be Hive, Meg Magne, Stallion got what the city girls?
Speaker 3 (01:16:05):
Hot girls girls, Rihanna?
Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
Some Navy? I forgot who got some navy?
Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
Rihanna her fans? It was something navy?
Speaker 2 (01:16:15):
Hey, Chad, what what Rihanna? What Rihanna fans are called
the navy? Okay? Navy?
Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
Jenny Rble said, I just started dating a guy with
a daughter. I met him and her at the barbecue.
My mom, through family friend brought them. She's a little darling.
How old is his daughter? Didn't say? Man, Because I
(01:16:49):
have seen some situations. I think the thing is is
that you gotta be you. You're not her mom, and
I don't know if I don't think she's I don't
maybe the child it is not looking for a mom.
So don't you go try to insert yourself into that role.
Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
Wait wait, wait, will give me that scenario one more time.
Speaker 2 (01:17:10):
Don't try to be that girl, little girl's mom.
Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
Oh it's a girl that the guy that has a daughter.
Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
Yeah, yeah, that's what it said. I just started dating
a guy with a daughter. Last I checked. A daughter
is a female? Is a is a young is a female?
That's my question is is I don't want to be presumptual?
She one and she too because it's gonna you know,
(01:17:36):
uh six, the daughter is six. Yeah, but that's that's
easy there. I mean, hey, take taking the build a bear. Go,
you know, go do some stuff like that, y'all. I mean,
you know it's cool.
Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
Y'all can do some stuff together. You don't have to go.
You have don't have to move too fast.
Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
I don't know what you mean.
Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
You don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:18:08):
Mm hmm, that's a little. That's a little. You need
to talk to the mama first and make sure everything
is cool.
Speaker 2 (01:18:13):
You ain't got to talk to oh, Joe, you got chilled.
Speaker 3 (01:18:17):
You know now you dating the dad. Now that's how
I get it makes the parma to have it have
your child around somebody knew you don't don't do that.
Speaker 1 (01:18:28):
I wanna ask your question if she gonna come talk
to me about having my having my daughter around some guy?
Speaker 2 (01:18:35):
Yeah all right, Oh yeah, you're real quiet on that one. Okay.
I want you to huh.
Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
She's the reason why I never had no problem. Now,
now you need to check all the boxes for you
get the dating other people and have them around other
people child.
Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
Now you don't.
Speaker 5 (01:18:49):
I don't remember. I don't remember anybody running anything about
running by anything by me.
Speaker 2 (01:18:54):
And they got married. They didn't tell me they were
getting married. They didn't tell me they were Dayton. No,
I'm cool with it.
Speaker 1 (01:19:01):
I would trust I'm gonna trust your judgment, just like
I asked you to trust mine. Okay, I'll never go
because at the end of the day, although we're co parenting,
I still have the vested interest in that child just
as much as you do.
Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
Okay, Okay, okay, okay, yeah, we don't. Yeah right, I
let hey listen, I'm talking to so and so now,
even though we're not together. But you know we're on
the same page now, now we know we align with
the same mindset for the betterment of the child. But
I'm over here. So when I want my baby with me,
I need you to meet her. I need y'all to
(01:19:35):
talk be on the same page. So when I move,
my child can move to in this individual that I'm theayting,
don't have to be gone elsewhere. You see what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (01:19:43):
Yeah, I get it. Yeah, that's great. I mean, look,
I look. I was very fortunate for the most part,
they were very cooperative. I would send my girlfriend down
because back then she would fly to Atlanta get key.
When it came to uh, you know, super Bowl. She
handled all that, taking them to taking them to see world,
(01:20:05):
and take them do all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
So yeah, listen, I love, I love, I love, I love,
I love stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (01:20:14):
Ed Terray up, witness your presidence in Baltimore, number eighty two.
Don't ever take no prisoners.
Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
You are the real deal. Appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
Earl Quentin May said, since y'all all retired, how do
you know when players are ready to make their moves?
Speaker 2 (01:20:29):
What which you mean retiring?
Speaker 4 (01:20:31):
Move?
Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
Man?
Speaker 5 (01:20:32):
I think you know we we we all love playing
the game, but once you see you can't you can.
For me, it's like, if I can't move or do
the things that I'm accustomed doing on the court, then
I don't want to play.
Speaker 2 (01:20:46):
I'm cool.
Speaker 5 (01:20:47):
That's and that happened with a lot of guys, whether
it's due to injury or whether it's just you know,
a lack of just working out.
Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
But as you get older, it's harder. Man, It's it's
a lot.
Speaker 5 (01:20:58):
Harder to play and compete and you age because man,
you have to you have to be so serious about
working out.
Speaker 2 (01:21:04):
Man, that's.
Speaker 4 (01:21:06):
It is.
Speaker 6 (01:21:08):
For me.
Speaker 1 (01:21:09):
Joe, Oh, Joe, I just realized I wasn't gonna be
able to do it. I wasn't gonna be able to
do anything else that was gonna change somebody's perception of
me catching another touchdown, going to another pro, bow, being
another all pro people had already made their mind up.
Dad saw me for fourteen years, So what could I
do to change the perception of what you thought of
me or what I was or wasn't nothing? And then
(01:21:30):
plus I wasn't the same anymore. I wasn't the same.
I wasn't Yeah, I could, I could catch.
Speaker 5 (01:21:36):
I could catch sixty seventy balls and get your eight
hundred yards, but it wasn't the same.
Speaker 1 (01:21:42):
I didn't have I couldn't I couldn't dominate. My yards
didn't mean the same it used to be. If I
got one hundred yards, we won.
Speaker 2 (01:21:49):
The game.
Speaker 1 (01:21:51):
Wasn't automatic because I had that kind of impact. That
kind of influence on the game, didn't man. And then
I still ain't gonna lie to that. I still enjoy training.
I still I'm still getting up shots by myself. It's
all therapeutic for me.
Speaker 5 (01:22:08):
Like I still I still enjoy that fact that that
part of it so h even if I wasn't able
to compete at a high level, I was still for
sure be playing the game, like I will still be
out there shooting or get It's just just a.
Speaker 2 (01:22:21):
