Speaker 1 (00:07):
To the class of and the family, friends, teachers, and
neighbors who helped them along the way. Congratulations, he did it.
Graduation might look a little different this year, and it'll
almost certainly feel different, But whether you're celebrating with a
small in person crew or gearing up for another virtual event,

(00:28):
this is your moment, which is why we're bringing you
the commencement you deserve, full of wisdom to help you
step into the real world and enter a brand new normal.
Ready to get inspired, put your hands together for one
of this year's incredible commencement speakers, the one the only Demilovadom.

(00:56):
You know what they say, It's always darkest before dawn,
and here we are to get other. Finally, a new
dawn for a new chapter in your life. I know
this past year has been unprecedented for me, for you,
and for the world. We've lost loved ones, we've let
go of old ways, We've mourned the loss of many comforts.
But if there is one thing that remains constant and true,

(01:18):
it's that you have the ability to change the world.
As you embark on this new chapter of your life,
Remember how strong you are when you thought you couldn't
do one more day of this. You did, remember that
you carried yourself to the finish line in time of crisis,
and in doing so, you've already set yourself up to
succeed in one of the real world's toughest lessons, perseverance.

(01:43):
I sat wondering what I could say here today in
hopes of inspiring you as you begin this next chapter
in your lives, and that's the word I kept circling
back to, perseverance. It's easier to remember our failures and
when we gave up, But more importantly, you have to
remember and hold close to the moments when you kept
fighting through the struggle and then arrived on top of

(02:05):
the mountain of success. However, when you've reached the top,
know that the most important view is not looking out
at the world before you. It's reaching back and helping
others come to the top with you. Society can only
change for the better if we're at the top together.
Remind ourselves of our common humanity and that we succeed

(02:27):
most when we succeed together. Practice kindness for yourself and
turn that into compassion for others. There's a light at
the end of this tunnel, and your job is to
illuminate it for others class with you at the Helm,
I know the future is bright and the best is
yet to come. I'm rooting for you, and I'm celebrating you. Congratulations.
