Speaker 1 (00:00):
Crime Alert hourly update, breaking crime news. Now.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm Nicole parton a bizarre story. A forty two year
old man in Florida was shot and killed after navigating
a lake populated with alligators and even sustaining an alligator bite,
then allegedly confronting police officers who responded to the situation.
Timothy Schultz succumbed to his injuries on May twenty six,
following a shooting incident involving the Polk County Sheriff's Office,

(00:27):
As detailed by Sheriff Grady Judd during a Facebook live briefing,
The Sheriff's office received a call about Schultz around five
point fifty six am that morning, with the nine to
one one caller describing him as bizarre and shaking at
a nearby racetrack. Officers arrived at the racetrack roughly three
minutes later, but could not locate Schultz. After an unsuccessful

(00:50):
search lasting about half an hour, the effort was called off.
A subsequent call came into nine one one around seven
forty three am, with a witness reportedly seeing Schultz in
a lake steaming with alligators and expressing concerns that the
man seemed quote drunk or high. According to reports, Schultz
declined a life preserver offered by a bystander and allegedly

(01:14):
growled at another man who tried to help him. Sheriff
Judd indicated that deputies arrived shortly after Shultz managed to
exit the lake, although he appeared to have an alligator
bite to his arm. As officers approached, they saw Schultz
with garden shears, and he was reportedly attempting to break
into a car by throwing a brick into the window.

(01:36):
After that, he attacked authorities for more. Here's my favorite sheriff,
Sheriff Grady Judd.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
The fact that he was bitten by an alligator significantly
and still continued his rampage is shocking. But if you're
on enough math, then the person you see is not
the person that's attacking.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
When the deputies attend to detain him using non lethal methods,
Schultz allegedly charged at them while brandishing the shears. He
was tased, but continued to advance toward the officers. The
situation escalated when Schultz tried to reach into the police car,
presumably trying to access a firearm, prompting the officers to

(02:19):
fire their weapons. Sheriff Judd confirmed that Schultz was shot
multiple times and did not survive. He explained quote, he
attempted to assault my deputies with garden shears and then
tried to enter their car, which constituted armed burglary. At
that point, all warning ceased and immediate action was necessary.
A witness reportedly believed that the officers should have escalated

(02:42):
their response sooner. The incident is currently under investigation, and
the officers involved have been placed on a standard administrative
leave pending the outcome of the investigation. They will also
participate in a mandatory evaluation and debriefing with the department's
psychological team. The officers was still in training, and the
sheriff commended both officers for their action during the incident.

(03:06):
Sheriff Judd noted that Schultz had a significant criminal history,
including multiple previous encounters with law enforcement. His most recent
arrest in April of twenty twenty five. He had been
released on May twenty with past charges related to methan
fitamine possession. In discussing the incident, Judge emphasized that his
officers acted appropriately and expressed no regret about their decisions

(03:29):
to use lethal force. We had to stop him. We
had to ensure the safety of both our officers and
those in the community, he said. The sheriff concluded by
confirming Schultz's death, stating quote he was deader than four o'clock.
In a press release, the Sheriff's office outlined that four
separate investigations are currently under way. An independent inquiry by

(03:51):
the tenth Judicial Circuits Officer Involved Deadly Incident Task Force,
an internal investigation by the Poe County Sheriff's Office, and
an autopsy conducted by the Polk County Medical Examiner to
determine the calls and manner of death or crime. Injustice
news after this rapper fifty cent has received the green

(04:16):

an executive, Mitchell Green, who owes him seven million dollars
due to a fraud conviction. A recent report from all
Hip Hop states that the federal bankruptcy judge has permitted
fifty Cents company to place a lean on Green's residence
in Westport. Mitchell Green, who once held the position of

(04:38):
director of brand Management, confess to embezzling over two million
dollars from the company in twenty twenty after being threatened
by exposure. Following a legal confrontation, the court ruled in
favor of the company, awarding them nearly seven million dollars.
Green's attempt to declare bankruptcy in order to dodge the
judgment were unsuccessful, as the court deemed the debt non dischargeable.

(05:01):
In twenty twenty three, fifty Cent playfully commented on Instagram
about this prospect of taking over Green's home, saying I
think I'm gonna put epoxy floors all over the place
and jokingly suggesting he would keep the family photos as

isn't the only reason fifty cent has been making headlines recently.

(05:23):
He's also been active on social media regarding Diddy and
the latter's current criminal trial. After two weeks of witness testimonies,

gray hair in court, captioning it with a humorous prediction,

that was the medical examiner's official ruling after a closed
