Authorities in Turks and Cacos discovered the body of a
man during their ongoing efforts to locate an American citizen
who was reported missing nearly two weeks ago. Local officials
made an announcement. Over the weekend, the Royal Turks and
Caicos Islands Police Force received a report around five pm

(00:24):
local time about a body seen in some bushes. Officers
quickly responded to the scene on Miracle Close in Grace
Bay and found the body, according to a statement released
by the police on Sunday. As of today, the identity
of the deceased individual has not yet been confirmed. A
police spokesperson stated the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police

(00:47):
Force offers heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of
the deceased. Acting Commissioner Rodney Adams expressed on Sunday authorities
have refrained from drawing any direct links between this discovery
and the ongoing search for Brian Terrence, a fifty one
year old man resident of New York City who was

(01:08):
last seen at the Paradise Inn near Grace Bay Beach
on June twenty five. Surveillance footage captured Terrence leaving his
condo around four am on June twenty five, heading toward
the town in Grace Bay. We asked the public to
avoid speculation and allow the investigation to officially confirm the
identity through the proper channels. Adams stated Terrence was vacationing

(01:32):
in Turks and Caicos with his wife. Carl Defosio, a
private investigator contracted by the family, confirmed to NBC that
Terrence's wife had gone to bed early that night. According
to Defosio, Terrence stayed up to watch television before going
for a late night walk with his phone but without
his passport. She checked on him twice and he was

(01:54):
either watching TV or doing something else. When she got
up at seven am. He was missing, if Fausio, stated.
A spokesperson for the State Department previously stated they are
aware of a US citizen missing in Turks and Caicos.
When a US citizen goes missing, we collaborate closely with
local authorities during their search efforts and strive to maintain

(02:16):
open lines of communication with the family, a spokesperson said
last week. The safety and security of US citizens abroad
is our highest priority. We are prepared to provide assistance
to US citizens in need and with their families. The
police of Turks and Cacoasts say the investigation is ongoing.

(02:37):
They will be investigating this as a homicide pending outcomes
from the local medical examiner. For Crime and Justice News
after this and Ohio man is in custody in Kentucky
after allegedly shooting his friend during a physical altercation. As

(02:59):
reported by local authorities in the Bluegrass State, Anthony Emerson,
thirty five, faces a murder charge. According to the records
at the Pulaski County Jail, the incident transpired early Sunday
morning near Lake Cumberland. That's a large lake area that
spans multiple counties in Kentucky. Tragically, Thomas Wayne Dick, thirty five,

(03:20):
died due to injury sustained from a gunshot wound, as
stated by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. Emerson is a
resident at Batavia, Ohio that's about twenty five miles east
of Cincinnati, while Dick is from Aurora, Indiana, a small
town just across the state line. The two friends had
traveled nearly two hundred miles south to a lakeside property

(03:43):
where the confrontation ultimately took place. On the day of
the incident, Emerson made a call to nine one one.
Did he break into the residents to dispatch her ask
Based on audio obtained by CBS affiliate WKYT, Emerson reportedly said, no,
he didn't break man. We got into an argument. He
came at me. I had no choice. When the dispatcher asks, Sir,

(04:06):
who shot him, Emerson said, I did. He came in
and threatened my life. I didn't have a choice. Please
just come and save him. Due to the remote location
and some confusion regarding the address provided by Emerson attributed
to a lack of proper signage along with the rural
gravel road, law enforcement took about twenty minutes to reach
the scene. The father told me that these two were friends,

(04:29):
said Pulaski County Deputy Corner Keith Prince, Lifelong friends. I
might add, they just got into a fight. One shot
the other. During the call, Emerson allegedly mentioned that he
shot Dick in the upper chest, maintaining that although Dick
was unharmed, he felt threatened. By the time authorities arrived
shortly after one thirty am, Dick had already died. According

(04:51):
to the sheriff's deputies. The motive behind the altercation remains unclear.
Emerson reportedly acknowledged to the nine to one one dispatcher
that he and Dick had been drinking prior to the incident.
He is currently being held at the Pulawski County Detention
Center and a bond is set at one million dollars.
The investigation is ongoing and local authorities are seeking assistance

(05:12):
from the public with any additional information. In a surprising
turn of events, a statue of Ronald McDonald was brazenly
taken from the only McDonald's in a quiet Pennsylvania town
in broad daylight, prompting local law enforcement to investigate what
they are calling a mcnapping. The stolen statue features the

(05:33):
iconic smiling character in his vibrant yellow outfit, as captured
by surveillance footage released by the Nequshion Police Department. We're
not joking here. This was a serious case of mcnapping,
said the police department. Ronald was last spotted beaming blissfully,
unaware of the treachery unfolding around him. Eyewitnesses reported that

(05:54):
he didn't resist at all, The NPDS shared on their
Facebook page to the culprits, we understand that these are
challenging times and therapy can be pricey, but abducting a
beloved plastic symbol of happiness, that's a mcfelanie. Authorities are
asking the community to watch for missing Ronald, suggesting he
might be spotted at a gathering, in the passenger seat

(06:16):
of a car, or even awkwardly positioned in a backyard.
The young perpetrators were seen on security cameras speeding away
from the scene in a black car with an unreadable
license plate. Many McDonald's restaurants have phased out the company's
classic mascots over the last decade, opting for a modern look.
This includes the removal of Ronald MacDonald and other characters,

(06:39):
like Grimace, who enjoyed a resurgence in popularity in twenty
twenty two with the launch of a milkshake in his name.
In twenty seventeen, a pair of hamburglars made headlines for
stealing a life size Ronald's statue from New Jersey. Before that,
in Vermont, an individual decapitated Ronald and amputated his foot.

(07:00):
In twenty nineteen a would be artists controversially crucified the
beloved mascot, dubbing the piece Mcjesus, which unexpectedly ignited a
religious controversy in Israel, resulting in a riot as outraged
Christians demanded the artwork be taken down, with three police
officers being firebombed in the chaos. Interestingly, a matching Ronald's

(07:23):
statue is currently listed on eBay for twenty five hundred
dollars with a pickup location near Pennsylvania, that small town
where this Ronald is missing. In the meantime, the MC
mystery continues. For the latest crime injustice news, follow Crime
