Katharine Hoggle, thirty eight from Clarksburg, Maryland, was indicted on
two counts of first degree murdered by a grand jury
on Thursday in relation to the presumed deaths of her children,
Sarah and Jacob Hoggle. This announcement was made by the
Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office in a press release on Monday.

(00:23):
Authorities have indicated that Hogle was the last person known
to have seen her children, three year old Sarah and
two year old Jacob, before they vanished in September twenty fourteen.
They have not been located since. At the time of
their disappearance, Hogle informed her boyfriend Troy Turner, who is
also the father of her children, that she had placed

(00:46):
them in a new daycare. However, she did not reveal
their location when Turner attempted to pick them up, as
he recounted in twenty seventeen. Since then, he has led
numerous search efforts and created a Facebook page titled Find Sarah,
Find Jacob. Hoggle, who has faced challenges with mental health issues,

(01:07):

after a court deemed her unfit to stand trial. Her
attorney told NBC four that his client was incompetent to
stand trial then, and she's incompetent to do so now.
If she never becomes competent, I can say this, she
won't be tried. Who cannot try someone unless they're competent.

(01:30):
Hoggle spent several years in a psychiatric facility, but was
released last month, according to the Associated Press. To date,
she has not provided authorities with any information regarding her
children's whereabouts. The Montgomery County State's Attorney's office announced that
Hoggle was taken into custody on Friday after authorities learned

is set for Monday. More crime and justice news after this.
