selling author, wife of Weezer's Basis, being shot by police
during a chaotic search for hit and run suspects in California.
Jillian Lauren Schriner, fifty one years old, who rose to
fame with memoirs about her time in the Harem of
the Prince of Brunei, was at the center of an
earlier report about the April eighth shooting outside her Eagle

Rock home. On Friday, the LAPD released bodycam and security
footage showing Lauren barefoot in her backyard wearing a Weezer shirt,
carrying a handgun. Drop the guy, drop the guy.

Bodycam footage shows Lauren lying face down on the street
as officers handcuffed her. A Glock nine millimeter handgun and
a spent casing were recovered from the scene. Lauren, who
was not involved in the hit and run, was charged
with attempted murder and posted one million dollars bond. She's
due back in court tomorrow. In a nine to one
one call released by police, Lauren said, quote, I had
my gun. He said put down that gun. I said,

put down your working gun, and then he shot me.
Investigators believe she may have mistaken police for intruders. Lauren
first gained public attention with her memoir Some Girls, My
Life in a Harem, recounting her time as a call
girl for Prince Jeffrey Bolcaya of Brunei. She later published
the best selling memoir Everything You Ever Wanted, the novel Pretty,
and the true crime book Behold the Monster, based on

in the twenty twenty one documentary series Confronting a serial Killer.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Weezer bassist
Scott Schreiner, and they share two adopted sons. The LAPED

is found dead in a Miami prison. David Kanesovitch, aged
thirty seven, died by suicide Monday at the Federal Detention
Center According to his lawyer, he had been held without
bond since May of last year, when he was arrested
at Miami International Airport after arriving from Serbia. He was
charged with kidnapping resulting in death, foreign domestic violence resulting

in death, and foreign murder of a US national in
the disappearance of Anna Maria Hanaw Kanesevitch. Anna, who was
born Colombian but a US citizen, vanished from her apartment
in Madrid, Spain, February second of two thousand and four.
Authorities believe Kanesevich flew from Miami to Servia, rented a car,
then drove to Spain with plans to harm her. Security

footage showed a man in a motorcycle helmet disabling a
camera at Anna's building and later leaving with a suitcase.
Investigators say that was Kanesevitch. Police tied him to purchases
of duct tape and spray paint at a hardware store
near Anna's home. Stolen license plates found near her building
matched those used on his rental car when he returned
the car to Serbia. It had an extra four thy

eight hundred miles, darkened windows, and was missing some important stickers.
The morning after Anna vanished, Prosecutors said Kanesevich asked a
woman he met online to translate two messages into perfect
Colombian Spanish. Those same messages were later sent from Hona's
phone to her friends, falsely claiming she had left with
a man she had just met on His body has

never been found. Her family filed a wrongful death suit
against Kanesevitch earlier this year. They said in a statement
after his death, quote the suicide of honor's murderer closes
a painful chapter in our lives, previously filled with the
dread that he might not base justice. Now we may
never know where he put on his body. Kanesevitch had
pleaded not guilty and maintained he was in Serbia at

the time. His lawyers said they were quote devastated by
his death and hoped for quote an appropriate prompt investigation.
Anna and David Kanesevitch had been married for thirteen years.
They shared millions of dollars worth of real estate and
had been locked in a bitter divorce over their fortune
after Anna moved to Spain. Prosecutors said David sold off
their properties for over six million dollars before her disappearance.

With his death, prosecutors are expected to close the criminal
case on His family says they remain committed to finding
her and keeping her memory alive. Joel Allan Emudson, aged
twenty six, was last seen early on October eighteenth, nineteen
ninety six, in Willison, North Dakota. It launched his boat
from a ramp on the Missouri River in Mackenzie County
that morning. By noon, the boat was found drifting on

the north side of the river in Williams County, about
three miles east of the Lewis and Clark Bridge. His
hunting boat was still in the boat. Marx suggested the
boat had struck something, possibly a log. Amondson was reported
missing around six pm that day. Authorities believe he fell
into the water and drowned. His parents continue to hope
he is alive somewhere. His body has never been found.

Almondson was a strong swimmer and in excellent shape at
the time he disappeared. In the past, he had suffered
two skull fractures, one at age two, another at age nineteen.
Police have not ruled out the chance that he may
have developed amnesia and just doesn't know who he is.
Eminson is white with brown hair and hazel eyes. Five
nine one eight. Mackenzie County Sheriff's Office is still investigating.
