Crime Alert. I'm Drew Nelson Breaking crime news Now. An
Oklahoma man says he was bowed with duct tape and
forced to jump off a bridge. Braden Marsh says the
people who did it were his friends. It sounded to
him like it would be another fun day at the
lake with Sean Loney, Jason Lawson, and Brianna Nomer. As
the group of four rode in a truck, Marsh says,
(00:25):
the driver Loney, stops the truck at the river bridge
on Highway fifty six in Oakmunkey County and claims he
has to fix a canoe that is lashed to the truck.
He tells kfo R what happens next he gets out.
He goes to my door, points a gun. He is like, hey,
you're gonna jump or I'm gonna shoo you. Marsh tells
the TV station Lawson's hands were shaking quote, so I
(00:48):
knew the intent of the gun wasn't to be shot.
It was to intimidate. Marsh says, Lawson is serving as
a lookout. He refuses to jump. At that point, he
says Loney pistol whipped him and threw him off the bridge.
Marsh says that Once they realized the fall did not
kill him, his two male friends got him back in
the truck, bound him using duct tape on his mouth, hands,
(01:10):
and feet, and threw him again into the Deep Fork River. Then,
he says, he was able to wiggle free from the
duct tape binding. He hid in the woods, watching the
three suspects as they waited to see if he was
still alive. They got in the truck and left him
for dead. Later, he was able to flag down some
help at the main road. He was taken to a hospital,
where a collapse lung among other injuries. Doctors inserted a
(01:33):
chest tube, and he stayed that way for five days.
He says they told him the fall punctured as lung.
Sean Lunney was arrested the same day police found the
gun money allegedly used, and Jason Lawson and Brianna Nomer
were arrested after that. All three are facing a charge
of kidnapping. Loney also faces aggravated assault and battery and
a felony gun charge. Lawson is facing charges of assault
(01:56):
and battery with a deadly weapon and attempted first degree murder.
Marsh says he doesn't know why the three suspects would
attack him like that. More Crime and Justice news after this,
your honor. My name is Brianna Mitchello, and I appear
(02:18):
before you today not only as a grieving mother but
also an advocate for justice. A New Jersey man will
serve twenty five years in prison for manslaughter. His son
died after being forced to run on a treadmill. Corey
Mitchello was only six years old. His dad, Christopher Gregor,
was convicted of aggravated manslaughter. Here's his mom, Brianna Mitchello.
(02:39):
I standing here before you to plead for justice that
Corey rightfully deserves. I'm depressed for the maximum sentence of
Christopher Gregor. It was twenty years for manslaughter in five
years to be served consecutively for endangering the welfare of
a child. It happened in April of twenty twenty one.
The New York Post reported at the time Christopher Gregor
(02:59):
called Corey quote too fat. Their surveillance video of the
incident shows Gregor making the little boy run on the treadmill,
gradually increasing the speed. Little Corey falls, but Gregor over
and over puts the little boy back on the treadmill
while continuing to increase the speed. The video from the
Atlantic Heights clubhouse reveals the shocking moment Gregor bites the
(03:21):
child bites him on the head. It was only days
later that they finally took him to the hospital. At
that time, Gregor was charged with child endangerment. The trial
reveals the boy suffered severe symptoms, including slurred speech and
difficulty breathing. As he receives a CT scan, he has
a seizure and dies. The autopsy reveals the cause of
death as blunt force trauma of the chest and abdomen,
(03:43):
leading to the upgraded charges of manslaughter against Gregor. In court,
Christopher Gregor maintains his innocence, but after a six week
trial that started in April, he was convicted on both charges.
At sentencing, Gregor told the court quote, I want to
assure you on April second, I did nothing to cause
Corey's passing, and goes on to say I did not
(04:03):
harm my son before the judge gave him the twenty
five year sentence. New Jersey's no early Release Act means
Gregor will have to serve more than twenty one years
of his sentence before he's eligible for parole. The seven
