a twenty four year police veteran sworn to protect and serve,
stands accused of a staggering betrayal of duty after he
allegedly ignored three frantic nine one one calls reporting a
violent shooting, choosing instead to hit an ATM for cash

and grab a pizza while a murder suicide tragedy unfolded.
Janine Simanchik, the victim's mom, spoke to CBS New York.
A lot of agencies failed her. She tried to get
restraining orders, nobody called her back. Franklin Township Police Sergeant
Kevin Blero has been on administrative leave since August second,

the day authorities found the bodies of veterinarian lorn Samanchik,
thirty three, and her boyfriend, volunteer firefighter Tyler Webb, twenty nine,
inside her Pittstown home. They also found the remains of
the killer, Samanchi's forty five year old ex New Jersey
State Police Lieutenant Ricardo Santos, who had taken his own life.

Prosecutor Renee Robeson's office alleges that on the night of
August one, Sergeant Poleera was dispatched to investigate the gunshots
and screaming reported by concerned neighbors Listen seven runshot AM, SCREAMAM.
Instead of responding, Bulero immediately drove one point five miles

in the opposite direction to a TD bank, where surveillance
captured him with drawing one hundred dollars. He then continued
his bizarre detour, spending fifty minutes at Duke's Pizzeria before
socializing at the Pittstown Inn for nearly an hour. The
most egregious failure, GPS data reportedly revealed the on duty

officer spent approximately five five consecutive hours from eleven twenty
seven pm until four thirty three am parked at Locust
Grove Cemetery, during which time he recorded no law enforcement
activity whatsoever. Bullerro's gross failure to respond and his subsequent

attempt to cover his tracks came just hours before the
bodies were found dead, just six hundred feet from the
initial nine to one one collars location. He compounded his
misconduct by filling an official police report that falsely claimed
he had checked the area for twenty minutes and was
unable to locate the source of the shots. Balero, who

has served the community for nearly twenty five years, has
been charged with official misconduct and tampering with records. He
faces ten years in prison and a one hundred and
fifty thousand dollars fine. While his attorney dismissed the prosecution
as quote unquote unfortunate, claiming Bolero's inaction quotequote could not
have stopped the tragedy end quote, the victim's families rerupted

in fury. The families slammed the sergeant's egregious conduct, calling
the failure of local and state police the quote tip
of the iceberg end quote. Balero is set to appear

After this, a horrifying attack ripped through a Bronx apartment,

leaving a twelve year old girl fighting for her life
after her stepfather allegedly carried out a sickening, calculated assault
that culminated in him hammering a long metal screw into
the side of her skull, puncturing her brain. The brutal
rampage erupted at the family's home on East one hundred

(03:52):
and seventy third Street, where suspect Joshua Burnside twenty eight,
first launched a vicious attack on his thirty one year
old wife multiple times. Sources confirmed the terrified woman grabbed
a knife in self defense during the argument, but the
maniac disarmed her and used that weapon to violently slash

her face and stab her in the stomach, causing major
internal injuries. As the frantic woman fled the apartment, bleeding
profusely and pounding on neighbors doors for help, the bloodshed escalated.
One neighbor recounted seeing the mom bleeding from her abdomen
as she begged for aid. This one, who did not
want to be idd spoke to News twelve. She was screaming,

my babies, I've seen a little girl's face. That's when
I really knew it was really a big deal. The
savage attacker turned his fury then on his young stepdaughter,
who had witnessed the initial assault. Burnside stabbed the girl
repeatedly across her body before grabbing the long screw and
violently driving it into the side of her head. Law

enforcement sources detailed the chilling discovery. Doctors initially noticed significant
bruising on the girl's head before locating the screw which
had pierced her skull and entered her brain. The twelve
year old underwent emergency surgery and remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Her mom was also treated for her major stab wounds

before being released. Thankfully, two younger children in the apartment,
a five year old boy and two year old girl,
the man's natural children were not hurt. Burnside was apprehended
at the scene. He's currently booked on multiple charges of
felony assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the
welfare of a child. However, due to the girl's life

threatening injuries, police sources immediately indicated those charges are expected
to be upgraded to attempted murder. And talk about a
water bottle warrior forget the charts. TikTok musician Zachariah Binoy
just earned the first Trap of the Year award after
body slamming two home invaders with his light green o

Wala water bottle. The drama erupted at the thirty year
old's la pad when two hooded goons tried to shatter
his patio paradise around nine pm. Instead of running, Benoi
grabbed his trusty flask, the o Wala Free sip bottle,
which he called the icon the Superstar, and charged straight

into the fray. Take a listen to his TikTok post nass.
He lunged at me, I swung once, hit him kind
of on the temple, and then again on the side
of his head. The content creator used that bottle like
a metal mace, swinging it hard until the handle just
snapped clean right off. The intruder immediately lost his composure
and scrambled over the fence to join his accomplice on

a quick retreat. The video of the hydration heroics has
already racked up over twenty two million views in counting.
That water bottle might be dented and handleless, but it
proved to be a serious bottleneck for crime. Looks like
Benoi's enemies just learned that when he comes at you,
he does not just make music, He makes a splash.
