I'm Nicole Parton Out of Florida. David Gibson is currently
facing serious felony charges including kidnapping and sexual assault of
a woman, as well as the murder of a seventy
four year old woman. The case began when a Florida
woman who had been kidnapped and severely beaten managed to
escape from a storage bind where she had been held.

(00:25):
Captive authorities have arrested Gibson, who is also suspected of
killing that woman's mother in law. On the late afternoon
of April twenty eighth, the Washington County Sheriff's Office received
an urgent call around five twenty pm from a bystander
who discovered a victim of a brutal attack on Douglas
Ferry Road. Sheriff Kevin Cruz provided updates during a press

(00:47):
briefing the following morning, revealing that deputies arrived to find
a distressed woman, steel, unclothed, and in needge of urgent
medical care.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Here he is When our Amlys's and deputies arrived, she
was still handcuffed and still had DVE tape around her
neck and in her hair.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
The victim told deputies that Gibson, forty, had come to
her home the previous Sunday, alleging that her husband and
brother in law were thieves and owed him money. After
taking some items from her home, he reportedly assaulted her,
handcuffed her, and stripped her of her clothing. While she
lay defenseless, he brutally attacked her mother in law, Letty

(01:29):
Cooper Collins, leaving her with severe injuries. Gibson is accused
of then forcing the victim into a car, applying duct
tape to her mouth while threatening her with a gun,
and sexually assaulting her. Upon arriving at his home, he
allegedly confined her to a shed, placing her in an
oversized toolbox, and binding her with a rope in the

(01:51):
position that made her fear for her life in what
she told to deputies as being hogtied. Hours later, the
victim managed to free her self and escape from the toolbox,
using a tree to remove the duct tape from her mouth.
She fled and reached the road side, where a passerby
noticed her and called nine to one one. When law

(02:11):
enforcement arrived, they discovered Collins was dead in the bedroom
of the home, where the kidnapping had occurred, with Sheriff
cru stating she had been severely beaten to death. That's
the mother in law. The investigators believe the violence unfolded
throughout Sunday night. After an extensive search, Gibson was found
hiding in a wooded area near Douglas Ferry Road. Sheriff

(02:32):
CRUs expressed his condolences to the victim's family, saying we
are so sorry this horrific event has happened to this family.
On Wednesday, Gibson faced charges of aggravated battery, sexual assault,
and false imprisonment. The following day, additional charges of homicide,
aggravated battery, and abuse of a corpse were added. Gibson

(02:53):
has a lengthy criminal history, with thirty three felony charges
since nineteen ninety nine an eight prior prison terms, including
convictions for arson and drug related offenses. He is currently
being held without bond as he awaits trial, though it
is unclear if he has yet to secure legal representation.

Vanderberg Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for Noah McBride,
a teacher and track coach at North High School. He
is charged with multiple offenses, including eight counts of child seduction,
three counts of child solicitation, distributing harmful materials to a minor,
official misconduct, obstruction of justice, intimidation, and sexually assaulting a minor.

(04:02):
Authorities report that on Monday, the alleged victim came forward
and detailed numerous sexual encounters with McBride that began when
she was just fifteen years old. Deputy stated that the
victim claimed she and McBride engaged in sexual intercourse almost
every day, with exception of most weekends. According to the
Sheriff's office, these encounters allegedly took place in various locations,

(04:26):
including a hotel, parking lot, and a room within the
North High School. The victim further disclosed that McBride sometimes
recorded these encounters using his cell phone, while the warrant
indicates that McBride did not send the victim any of
the recorded videos. He did share an explicit photograph of himself. Additionally,
the victim reported that McBride threatened her to protect his

McBride has yet to be arrested and is still on
