parton a disturbing update out of North Carolina today where
a woman accused in the brutal murder of a young,
intellectually disabled woman is still walking free despite repeated violations
of her bond conditions. America Deal, one of four people

charged in connection with the twenty twenty killing of twenty
one year old Mary Collins, has failed to charge her
ankle monitor and missed curfew multiple times over the past
two years, yet a judge has now removed the monitor altogether,
saying it's unreliable. Prosecutors say Deal helped conceal Colin's body

using dish detergent and pumpkin spice, shower jail to mask
the smell, and even stuffed the girl's body inside a mattress,
but her attorney argues she is not a threat, is
employed and is working closely with the DA's office. She
was eighteen years old when this happened and was forced

into a terrible situation, said Dil's lawyer Lambert. Again, her
willingness to help has not changed, but Mary Colin's family
says the justice system continues to fail them. Mary, who
had a mental capacity of a fifteen year old due
to a genetic disorder, was stabbed one hundred and thirty
three times in an apartment in Charlotte's Noda neighborhood. Her

by people's s thought were friends, then killed in retribution
for refusing to have sex with them. They bled her
out in a bathtub like an animal, said Mary's grandmother,

gasp in the courtroom and we started crying. I remember
putting my hands over my ears, trying not to hear.

more than that.

forcibly taken outside of residence early Sunday morning. The police
department shared the footage on x appealing to the community
for assistance in identifying both the woman and the man
seen grabbing her from behind. The video shows her screaming

is crucial in ensuring her safety, the police stated in
a post on Monday. If you recognize her or have
any information about her identity or whereabouts, please call nine

have pursued multiple leads, they have yet to identify the
individuals involved. Authorities have labeled the event as a potential
