Authorities in Indianapolis have arrested the parents of a one
year old boy who was pronounced dead just minutes after
arriving at a local hospital. Police say thirty five year
old Wendy Alvarado and thirty one year old Dunio Rozelles
faced preliminary charges of child neglect resulting in death. According

(00:24):
to court documents, the couple brought their son Angel to
a hospital on Monday morning. They told staff the baby
was quote cold to touch. Angel was pronounced dead fifteen
minutes later. Investigators say the child weighed only ten pounds
and appeared very malnourished and underweight. His body reportedly showed bruises, scratches,

(00:46):
and scarring. Alvardo immediately requested a lawyer and refused to
speak to police. Detectives executed a search warrant at the
couple's home, where they found two young children alone. Those children,
along with two others in the school, are now in
states custody. Police also discovered oxy codone in a drawer
accessible to the youngest children. Rosales allegedly admitted to smoking

(01:09):
metha and phitamine before and after taking Angel to the hospital.
When questioned, he claimed Angel was born premature and quote
barely eats, but he said the baby was always smiling
and laughing, so they never thought he needed medical help.
And autopsy has been performed, but the results are pending.
Both parents remain in the Marion County Jail without bonds.
