I'm Drew Nilson. A mother in Metro Atlanta, is charged
with killing her eleven year old daughter after police found
the girl dead during a welfare check inside their Sandy
Springs condominium. Police said they found the child's Saturday morning,
entering the home at Laurel Grove after a family member
asked for the welfare check. Officers then secured the scene,
with detectives coming in to take over the case. The mother,

Shannon Grimes, were sent to a hospital for evaluation.

Malice murderer, felony murderer, cruelty to children in the first degree,
possession of a knife during the commission of the crime,
and also tampering with evidence.

That Sandy Springs Police Sergeant Leon Milholland, speaking to our
TV news partners at Fox five Atlanta, officers told neighbors
they were safe as work at the scene went on. Still,
neighbors say they are shocked. They say the pair had
lived in the complex for at least ten years and
say both were kind and polite. You literally say to yourself,
how could I not have known what in the world

was going on? That's Mona di Agostino who lives upstairs.
She says she had known the little girl since she
was a toddler, calling her sweet and shy. She said
she could not make sense of what took place behind
the walls just below her. Another neighbor spoke about the
need to watch out for each other. Just because they
might have a smile on their face doesn't mean it's
all okay. You don't know what's going on. Police say

the work has been hard for them. They said the
case is tough for the family and the whole community.
Her school is now giving support to students and staff

A police chief sings a bar of radiohead, revealing the
name of a sting that ended with sixteen arrests, a
case Bloomington, and so did a police call Operation Creep.
Officers ran the three day sting beginning November fifth. They
used apps and social pages, deploying decoys who said they
were a seventeen year old girl. The men still came
expecting to have sex with a minor. Chief Booker Hodges

say most of the men were from the Twin Cities area.
He said one of the suspects tried to pull rank
when he was arrested, the man saying quote, I'm ice Boys.
Police shared video from the sting, one suspect walking in
with a bag that held cocaine, methamphetamine, and eight guns.
Another man told the decoy he planned to show up
with a gun. Officers tackled him in the hotel. The

suspects were from several different backgrounds, one driving from Metro Transit,
one working for the Pollution Control Agency, one working for
the Brown County Historical Society, and of course Ice Boys.
Not all of them have been charged. A thirty two
year old woman vanishes from her home in California, leaving
absolutely everything behind. Diana rose A Lejandre Garcia Gonzalez lived

in winter Haven with her girlfriend. She was last heard
from by her family on April ninth of twenty twenty.
Deputy said she may have vanished in early May. Her
family did not know she was gone at first. Months passed.
Her mother called other relatives in June and asked if
anyone had seen her. Nobody had Her aunt Jenny Espino
filed the missing person report on June thirtieth. Deputy said

Diana left her purse, she left her cell phone, She
left all of her things in the home. She had
been known to travel between winter Haven, Yuma, and Mexico,
but there have been no sightings in any of those
places since she vanished. The Imperial County Sheriff's Office says
there was an early report of what they described as
domestic issues in the home, but they said the report
did not suggest kidnapping. The first public plea from deputies

came in July. Her loved ones made a Facebook page
called Help Find Diana rose Alejandre Garcia Gonzalez. They shared
her photos, they shared every update from law enforcement. Her
family said she would never run. They said she loved
her five children who lived with their father, and Yuma
aunt Jenny said quote, She's out there somewhere, Just need
to bring her home. A massive search of winter Haven

followed in October. Advocates with for the Missing helped the
family and volunteers walking wide swaths of land but found nothing.
The FBI later added a reward of up to ten
thousand dollars. They asked the public for any tip, no
matter how small. They asked people in winter Haven, Yuma,
and Mexico to be on the lookout for her. Diana
was five ft three two fifty with brown eyes, often

dyed her hair light brown or blonde. She was white Hispanic.
She had piercings in her ears and lip. She had
the name Gavino tattooed on her right ankle, the name
Jose on the left side of her upper back, the
names Isabella, Valerie, Evelyn, Michael, and Nathaniel her children's names
on her right arm. She had the name Chumucho with
a heart and horns on her right wrist and a
Queen of Hearts on her left ring finger. Both Arizona

and California agencies still list her as missing under suspicious circumstances.
