four years in prison for chasing down two teenagers and
shooting them, killing a fourteen year old. On July fifth,
twenty twenty three, or As Sure heard a car alarm
outside his home in Aurora, Colorado. He armed himself with
a pistol and went outside. He saw two teens dressed

(00:22):
in black and believed they were trying to steal his
Hyundai Lantra. The teens fled in a Kia Rio. Sure
got into his car and gave chase. The teens crashed
four blocks away. They jumped out and ran. Sure opened
fire and kept firing. He shot fourteen year old Xavier

I can't express enough how much pain and grief that
were going to for two years to pass by and

That night, my friend and I made a mistake. We
took a car that didn't belong to us. I'm not
proud of that, and I've had to live with the
consequences of that choice. But no mistake, especially one that
didn't involve any violence, should ever lead to someone being hunted, down,
shot and killed.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Sure wept as he apologized before receiving his sentence.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I am sorry for the events that occurred that night,
for the pain, for the grief and trauma that have followed,

Each morning and afternoon, Roman acts evaded his sprinklers as
the school bus arrived to load and unload two children
