Four people are killed and at least thirteen others injured
when a speeding driver slams into a crowd outside Bradley's
on Seventh, a popular bar with the queer community in
Tampa's Ebor City District. Police identified the suspect as twenty
two year old Silas Sampson of Date City. He was

allegedly fleeing from Florida Highway Patrol troopers after a failed
attempt to crash the fleeing car intentionally. Tampa Police Chief

Assistant Prosecutor Joshua Sparling told the court that Hoole regularly

beat the boy and that Mason hid his injuries from

the child was lucky in his room for hours without
food or water, and died of blunt force trauma and
possible suffocation. During her plea hearing, Mason admitted to shoving

Court record show she also admitted to lying to investigators
and covering up earlier child Protective Services visits that could

an agreement requiring her to testify against Hoole when his
trial begins early next year. Mason remains in custody at
the Saint Clair County Jail and faces up to life
