Park and Pennsylvania authorities have transferred the investigation of the
missing woman Kata Scott to the homicide unit, although they
are not treating her case as a homicide. They say. Scott,
twenty three, was last seen on the evening of October fourth,
in Philadelphia. According to a statement from the Philadelphia Police Department,

(00:24):
Scott was reportedly seen leaving the assisted living facility where
she worked, and in the days before her disappearance, she
had been receiving threatening phone calls. According to authorities, since
that time, there has been no activity from her cell
phone or social media accounts, and she has not made
contact with her family or friends. Her car was still

(00:46):
parked outside her place of employment. Authorities believe it is
unlikely she left on her own. Accord Deputy Commissioner Frank
Venora expressed concern about the nature of her disappearance, saying
it's a troubling missing person report. We don't know if
foul play was involved, but we certainly see signs that
this person wasn't voluntarily missing and didn't just walk away.

(01:11):
In response to her disappearance, Scott's family has launched a
GoFundMe campaign to offer a reward for credible information that
could lead to her safe return. Every dollar raise strengthens
our ability to bring her home and encourages anyone with
information to come forward, her family said, emphasizing that the
fundraiser aims to raise awareness, supports search efforts, and ensure

(01:33):
that every lead is investigated. In the meantime, friends, family
and supporters are actively spreading the word about her case,
using hashtags like help find Kada and hashtag Kada Scott
to increase visibility. The ongoing search has involved canine units
and has included searching the nearby heavily wooded areas, as

(01:56):
reported by CBS News. Additionally, the FBI has joined the
efforts to locate Scott. Her friends and family say they
will not give up searching on foot in the cold
and rain, they will find her.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
To be honest, I'm just I'm just hurt right now,
like I got, I'm feel of a raised anger right now.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I'm just trying to stay strong. From my cousin.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
We've been out here since yesterday in a rain in
the parks in Aubury, and today we decided to come
out here over in this area to me, something is
very strong over here in this area, and at this
point it's really just about getting out here and looking
for her.
