Wigmaker/Influencer May Only Serve 3 Years for Crash That Killed a NYC Mom and Two Daughters | Crime Alert

A wigmaker/social media influencer from Brooklyn, New York will be sentenced today for a March crash that killed a mother and her two daughters. A Bexar County, Texas sheriff’s deputy is arrested after deputies say he showed up uninvited at his girlfriend’s home and choked her during a fight: the 12th deputy in the department arrested this year. Crime Alert hourly update, breaking crime news Now. I'm Drew Nelson,
a wig maker, slash social media influencer from Brooklyn, New York,
was set to be sentenced today for a March crash
that killed a mother and her two daughters. Prosecutors wanted
up to fifteen years, but Judge Danny Chun offered the
thirty three year old Miriam You're Remy a sentence of
three to nine years after she pleaded guilty demandslaughter. The

Brooklyn District Attorney's office objected to the deal, da Eric
Gonzalez saying, quote, the lives of Natasha Sada and her
young daughters were stolen by the callous choices of a
chronically reckless driver on Ocean Parkway.

been on the road in the first place. If that
was my family, I will seek for a harsher punishment.

I think about them every time I've passed by around here,
especially since they're my community and I live right here,
so like I feel very connected, so it kind of
just hits a little harder.

Investigators say, your Remy sped through a red LA light
in her blue Outy A three and slammed into a
camera before rolling forward and hitting thirty four year old
Natasha Saada and her three children. Eight year old Diana
and five year old Deborah died at the scene. Four
year old Philip was hurt and rushed to the hospital.
The cameras driver and four passengers were also hurt but survived.

Police say Yoimi was driving with a suspended license. Records
show she had more than ninety three violations, twenty school
zone speeding tickets, and over ten thousand dollars in unpaid fines.
She had been caught speeding again and again since twenty
twenty three. The crash shook the tight Gravesend community, with
Police Commissioner Jessica Tish saying quote a mother and two

young children killed, another child fighting for his life, a
family and a neighborhood devastated in an instant. Brooklyn Prosecutor
Melissa Carvehall also said, quote, in my over twenty five
years as a prosecutor in Brooklyn, this still remains one
of the worst collisions that I have ever seen on
a New York City street. The case has renewed calls
for the Stop Super Speeders Act, which would force repeat

Investigators say Corporal Jonathan Emaia, aged thirty six, was taken
into custody Monday while on duty. He faces charges of
assault of a family or household member by impeding breath

and interfering with a request for emergency help. Jail records
show he bonded out early Tuesday morning. He has a
court date set for December seventeenth. BCSO said the assault
happened around midnight Sunday. The victim is a civilian employee
with the Sheriff's office. She told investigators that Amaya arrived
at her home without warning and started questioning her about
quote unquote talking to other people. She said that she

had tried to end their one year relationship three days
earlier after finding a second phone she believed Amaya was
using to talk to other women. The affidavit said the
argument grew louder when she asked him to leave. She
told him she would call police if he stayed. Investigators
said Amaya then grabbed her phone as she dialed nine
to one one and threw it across the room. Deputy
said he then grabbed her arms, pushed her against a wall,

and put her in a headlock. After the interview with
the victim, detectives obtained a warrant and arrested Amaya. He
was booked into the Bear County Adult Detention Center. Sheriff
Hobbier Salazar said, quote our Public Integrity Unit did an
outstanding job of acting swiftly in making this arrest and
insuring the safety of the victim. We will continue to
act in the best interests of justice, regardless of who

the perpetrator is. BCSO says. Amaya was first hired in
twenty eighteen and promoted to corporal in twenty twenty three.
KSAT reports he is the twelfth deputy taken into custody
this year on the Bear County fours. Madelina Kojakari was
an eleven year old Romanian born girl living in Cornelias,
North Carolina, when she disappeared, last seen on school surveillance

video getting off her bus near her home on November
twenty first of twenty twenty two, but her parents did
not report her missing until December fifteenth. Investigators searched the
Kojakari home and said some of Maddelina's belongings were missing,
and that a detective noted a backyard fire pit. A
warrant stated her quote mattress, clothing, Halloween costume, and family
photos had been burned in the burn pit. Investigators uncovered

troubling details, with school officials warning that Maddelina had been
absent for days, a councilor alerting police when she missed
more than one meeting. Warrants unsealed earlier this year allege
her mom paid thousands of dollars to a priest in Moldova.
And hit a large bag of cash, and that dad
admitted helping burn belongings in the fire pit. The mother
claims she did did not know where Maddelina was. She

later left for Moldova and was named a suspect. The
father was convicted of failing to report the disappearance. There
is a reward of up to twenty five thousand dollars
for information. Madelina is white, four feet ten ninety pounds.
When she disappeared with brown hair and brown eyes, she
