Crime Alert, imancy, grace breaking crime needs now. A fire
breaks out at the Richard family home. Neighbors call Kansas firefighters,
who find five children and mom, Stephanie Richard, all suffering
from severe lacerations. As they're pulled from the fire, they
tell EMTs that Dad Matthew Richard attack them then set
the fire himself.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Nancy Matthew Richard is a youth pastor at Crossroads Christian
Church in Shawnee, Kansas. Richard's biography reads that quote, He's
a big kid who loves teaching little kids about Jesus.
The oldest of the five children injured is nineteen years old.
Each of the victims is expected to make a full
recovery from their injuries. It's not clear what sparked Richard's
attack on his family, but the investigation is still ongoing.

Missouri cops have the tough job of picking up a
ring tailed lemur, an exotic animal not meant to be

In a confrontation that police initially claimed involved a driver
lunching at an officer with a knife outside a vehicle,
a judge has now dismissed murder and other charges against
a Philadelphia cop who shot and killed the driver through
a rolled up window. With the latest Sidney Sumner with Crime.

Online, Municipal Judge Wendy Pugh agreed with the defense counsel
who claimed the officer might have feared for his life
because he believed the driver, twenty seven year old Eddie
Irozari had a gun. Irozari was seen clutching a knife
close to his right leg as officers approached his stopped
vehicle in footage from a police body camera that was
at their preliminary hearing of dismissed officer Mark Dial After

a brief pursuit caused by erratic driving. The officers had
stopped Irazari on a residential street. The decision was reached
following a twenty minute viewing of the terrifying film in
a courtroom that was crowded with police and Irozari's family members.
According to his lawyers, it was shortly after noon on
August fourteenth that Dial discharged his weapon at close range,

acting in self defense. Irosari's family member seems shocked and
upset by Pugh's decision, which prosecutors expect to appeal. The
victim's relatives told the press that police shouldn't have to
shoot someone dead just because they are speeding or acting unreasonably.

Bodycam video reveals Dials shot Irozari roughly seven seconds after
exiting a police suv and approaching the vehicle. He discharged
a total of six rounds. After being reported missing late
Monday morning, Baltimore police have now discovered the body of
the founder of a software business whose career achievements put

her on a Forbes thirty Under thirty list earlier this year.
According to the authorities, twenty six year old Papa La
Pier had experienced blunt force trauma. Available record state Lapeer
may have lived in the apartment building where her body
was discovered. At a news conference, officials identified a suspect
in the case, thirty two year old Jason Billingsley, who

was paroled following a previous sex assault case last October.
He admitted guilt to first degree sex assault in twenty fifteen.
This according to court documents, Officials claimed they had no
grounds for thinking LaPier was acquainted with Billingsley. Richard Worley,
the acting chief of Police for Baltimore, says Billingsley needs
to be regarded as armed and dangerous. A Louisiana man

who escaped his attempted murder conviction in nineteen ninety one
has now been apprehended more than three decades later, after
police discovered him hiding in Mexico once again. Crime online

The FBI says sixty three year old greg Lawson was
located in Mexico and returned to the United States. In
nineteen ninety one, Lawson was charged with shooting a man
in Bionville Parish. According to our Friends with KSLA, Lawson
left the courthouse as the jury was about to enter
The courtroom to find him guilty of the charge of
attempted murder. His truck later discovered a block from the courthouse.

The FBI shared a video of Lawson being escorted by
police at an airport on x formerly known as Twitter.

In the footage, Lawson seems to laugh nervously as police
restrain him with handcuffs.
