Speaker 1 (00:00):
Crime Stories with Nancy Grace. He did it? Did Sean
Diddy Combs order a million dollar hit on Tupac Shakur?
Bell documents say, oh yes, he did. Good evening, I'm
Nancy Grace. This is Crime Stories. Thank you for being
(00:22):
with us.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
New allegations made against disgraced rappers Sean Diddy Combs.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Well, the walls are falling in around Sean Puffy aka
Diddy Combs. As we learn in court documents, he is
named seventy seven times, at least as it relates to
the murder of Tupac Secur. Now it's a very long,
it circuitous explanation, but what it boils down to is
(00:52):
the East Coast West Coast feud and allegations that he
offered one million dollars for the death of two pots
Shakur even calling making a phone call just after the
hit claiman was that me like somebody else ordered to hit?
Joining me in All Star panel to make sense of
(01:14):
what we know right now.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
But listen, things are not looking good for Sean Diddy Combs.
In addition to lawsuits, raids, federal investigation and at secret
grand jury, the only living suspect in Tupac Shakur's murder
now implicates Puff Daddy in the September seventh, nineteen ninety
six drive by shooting. A recent court filing for Dwayne
KFD Davis's upcoming murder trial mentions Puppy seventy seven times,
(01:35):
while Vegas police confirm that Combs has never been and
is not a suspect. The mogul silence is deafening.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Okay, you got to take you into account that KFD
wants bail and could be willing to say anything to
get it. But here's the problem with that argument. This
document has been buried away for a long time under wraps.
It was a profer. What is a profer. A proffer
(02:03):
is when you go outside of the jury's presence, typically
in the judges chamber, sometimes close the courtroom, and you
tell the judge what you're going to bring into evidence
because you need a ruling whether it's admissible or inadmissible.
Sometimes that profer of evidence can be so volatile. If
you put it in front of a jury before it's allowed,
(02:25):
you have a mistrial. It can be that volatile, that inflammatory,
And that's what this document is never meant to see
the light of day, where Sean Puffy comes is named
we know of seventy seven times in the murder, the
hit on Tupac Shakur. It wasn't supposed to come out,
(02:47):
well it has. You know what, how did the whole
thing start? Listen?
Speaker 3 (02:52):
The East Coast West Coast refue begins with the near
death of Tupac Shakuri Quad Records, Manhattan. Tupac's invited to
record when he's attacked by three armed men and shot
five times, but lives Vibe magazine says that Sean Puffy
Combs and Notorious Big were both at the studio and
may have known Shakur was being set up.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Tupac's belief Puffy and Big new about the Quad Records
attack adds to the feud between colmb's East Coast Bad
Boy Records and Suge Knight's West Coast Death Row Records.
It escalates when Tupac Shakur, Shug Knight, and Mob Pyru
associates run into South Side Crip Baby Lane Anderson at
the Vegas Mike Tyson, Bruce Selden fight.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Good Gravy that goes back to forever ago. You know what,
Let's figure out what's happening straight out to Lauren Colin,
joining US investigative reporter, hosts of The Outlier podcast and
co host of Primetime Crime on YouTube. Lauren, thank you
for being with us. Listen. Have you ever seen Raiders
(03:55):
at the Lost Art? And I believe it's the arc
of the Covenant that is in the end Indiana Jong
gets it and it's put in a paper in a
cardboard box and sealed up, and it's carted away and
it's put on the bottom shelf of something that looks
like the Story's room for the Smithsonian, never to be
(04:17):
seen again. This document, this document has cracked open the
murder of Tupac, Secure wide open. Tell me about it.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
Yes, Kei b d absolutely never thought this would see
the light of day. He is very upset in court.
He said, you broke the proffer agreement. I told you
all this because I was on a task force to
help the LAPD figure out who killed Tupac and also
who killed Biggie Small's. He was helping with both of
(04:48):
these things. So in response to his bail request, the
state put out this one hundred and seventy nine page
document which is extamming. They are saying, look, Dwayne Davis look,
keep d If you can be paid for murder, then
why should you be out on the street.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Okay, you know what Daryl Cohen, a former felony prosecutor's
handled his share of murder cases. Now defense attorney Darryl
Cohen explain in more simple terms if you can, what
is a profer and why this document naming Sean Puffy
Combes as ordering the hit on Tupac Shaker a million
(05:26):
dollar hit was never supposed to see.
Speaker 6 (05:29):
The light of day, Lincy. Before there's a trial. When
there's a trial, we have what's called opening statement. That's
when the lawyer says he or she anticipates this is
the evidence that's going to happen from their side, a profit,
back up, a little bit back up before trial. This
is a document or a video or an oral statement
(05:55):
that says, this is why we are here. This is
what I anticipate that you guys will find. Guys, being
plural for a male female doesn't matter. This is what
I anticipate you're going to find. And this is what
I'm telling you has happened. But you got to keep
it quiet because somebody finds out.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I'm toast guys now. In addition, to all of the
other issues, closing in on Sean Puvey Combs. Is he
going to be charged in the murder of Tupac Shakur?
Now the Feds say he has never been a suspect.
He is not a suspect. Okay, I'll take that with
a box assault. Let's go back to how the whole
(06:38):
thing started.
Speaker 7 (06:38):
Tupac Shakur, along with sug Night and members of their entourage,
which include members of mom Piru, came to Vegas to
attend the Mike Tyson fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Members of the South Side Content crips, which included Davis
along with his nephew Orlando Anderson, We're also in attendance
at the same event. As both were leaving the fight,
members of Death Row Records spotted Orlando Anderson near an
(07:01):
elevator bank inside the MGM, and at that time they
began to.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Kick and punch him. Hear that elevator bank.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
Following this incident, Tupac and sug Knight both left the
MGM to make their way to a post fight party
which was to occur at a local nightclub at the
same time, where it spread amongst members of the south
Side Compton crypts of what had occurred inside the MGM.
That's when Dwayne Davis began to devise a plan to
obtain a firearm and retaliate against sug Night and mister
(07:30):
Shakur for what occurred inside the hotel against mister Anderson.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
So Robert Crispin joining US, formerly with the Federal Task
Force for the US DOJ, now at Crispin Special Investigations.
You're telling me sat up by this for one minute,
that the whole hit on Tupac Shakur was over a
fight at the MGM elevator bank than I of the
(07:56):
Tyson fight. It's a lot deeper than.
Speaker 8 (07:59):
That, way back, so deep, I'm sure maybe that's where
they just wanted to start it from, to kind of
deflect from all the other stuff that's been going on.
I don't know, but if I can just run back
to this profit letter real quick, which in the federal side,
after you've been arrested, you know, you do the five
K one, or before you've been arrested, you do the
five K one, which is cooperating with the government and
(08:21):
going in and proffering what you know and what can
you do to help the government's case accelerate and go
further and identify more conspirators.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Ie.
Speaker 8 (08:33):
Obviously he then became a police informant. I'm sure you're
going to find out. Undercover calls were there. There were
meetings out in New York. There were meetings all over
the place, meaning and we call them chance encounters of
the government, meaning we follow you, Nancy, and you go
to a gas station and I send the informant and
to get gash right next to you and lo and
(08:54):
behold it's hey, Nancy. Wow, it's so funny to run
into you. And the next thing, you know, we start
that or you start that conversation with the informant who's
wearing a wire or a digital recorder and randomly at
some gas station.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yeah, you know what, Robin Chrispin, I think a lot
of you, But I got where's this going? Could you
wrap it up? Blease? You put it tight with a
bow and spit it out.
Speaker 8 (09:17):
I probably tipped the scale that night, and that got
him upset. That's when they went to get the gun,
and that's when they went.
Speaker 9 (09:22):
And did what they did.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Sure, okay that I understand. Hey, the whole thing is
caught on video. And remember Davis along with nephew Orlando Anderson,
are there. Okay, they're leaving the Tyson fight death Row records.
Peep spot Orlando Anderson and they began to viciously attack him.
(09:47):
Viciously attack him. Okay. After this attack caught on video,
Davis gets a gun. Listen.
Speaker 7 (09:57):
After Davis attained a gun, he entered into a white
cat along with Terence Brown, DeAndre Smith, and Orlando Anderson.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
As they were in the white Cadillac.
Speaker 7 (10:07):
Mister Davis took the gun that he had obtained and
provided it to the passengers. As they were driving west
on Flamingo Road near Covalt, they located the black BMW
which was driven by Suge Knight and then the passion
sheet was Tupac Shakur and as they turned around, they
pulled up near the pasture's side of that vehicle and
immediately began shooting at mister Knight and mister Shakour.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Shakur has hit four times in the chest. Suge Knight
is grazed in the head by a bullet fragment. Tupai
Shakur dies six days later.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Okay, so that's the response. Crime Stories with Nancy Grace,
Karen Start joining me renowned TV and radio trauma expert.
(10:59):
You can find her at karen start dot com. That's
Karen with a seat if you're looking for her Karen. So,
a fight goes down, Okay, the nephew gets beat up
and beaten up really badly, and instead of like most
people would call police or nine one one, what do
they do? Davis goes and gets a gun. They jump
(11:22):
in the white Cadillac and they go looking for Secure
and they find him. Now, explain to me that response,
because I bet if you got beat up, or your
husband Mark got beaten up, you would not go get
a gun, hop in a cadillac and try to chase
the people down. You'd call nine one one a police.
So what is this?
Speaker 10 (11:43):
Well, I'm not part of a gang, Nancy, So you're
talking about a whole different culture where they get angry.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
They've been angry, I really believe.
Speaker 10 (11:53):
Before this even happened, because why did they beat him up?
So this folk feud is going on and their response
to the fighter is I think I'm just gonna go
kill him because they wanted to do that.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
They've been ordered to do that.
Speaker 10 (12:08):
Anyway, so they needed some kind of an excuse. That's
why it's not the kind of thing where you say, oh,
there's a fight, let me call the police. They're going
to handle this themselves.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
So here's the way it goes down to Lauren Colin
joining us, a host of the outlawer, the nephew, the
younger nephew of Keefe d who is Dwayne Davis. The
younger nephew is Orlando Davis. He's the one that gets
beaten up. I mean, yes, thank you. He is the
(12:40):
one that gets beaten up horribly. He's kicked. I'm surprised
he didn't get killed because he's being kicked viciously. And
the lobby of the MGM for Pete's sake, and people
are just milling around like nothing's happening, which amazes me.
I few have the good sense to run. But so
instead of calling nine to one one or what do
(13:01):
they do? They grab guns and they take off. Okay,
what happens next? Listen.
Speaker 11 (13:07):
March nineteen ninety seven, the Notorious big is in la
to promote his new album Life After Death. Biggy shoots
a video, gives a radio interview, and presents a music award.
Scheduled to fly to London, he cancels and stays in
LA for an after party, accompanied by a Bad Boy
Records entourage including d Rock Butler, will Cease Gene Deal,
(13:28):
Tone Jacobs, Stevie j and Sean, Puffy.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Combs, Dwayne Keathy.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
D Davis claims credit for Tupac's murder on Beet and
in his memoir, he says Puffy Combs wanted Night and
Tupac's heads after their disc track hit them up. When
Davis offers to carry out the hits, Combs agrees to
pay him one million dollars. According to Davis, Eric zip Martin,
a New York drug dealer, suggests they have the perfect
(13:53):
opportunity to carry out Puffy's hit and even provides the gun. Davis, Anderson,
Terrence Brown, and DeAndre Smith stake out the club where
she Cour is performing, but Tupac's a no show and
the Crips abandoned the plan. Driving down the strip, they
spat Night and Tupac stopped in traffic, Brown flips a
U turn in their white Cadillac. Davis passes Anderson the gun,
(14:13):
and Anderson leans over Smith to shoot Tupac.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Okay, so bottom line, Orlando Anderson the suspected shooter who
is Keepd's nephew, is a triggerman, according to these newly
obtained documents that name Sean Puffy Combs as ordering the hit,
the million dollar hit. Now, I'm going to bring in
(14:38):
an expert, and you may wonder why this expert right now.
Her name is Shannon Henry. She's the president founder of
sas GO Surviving Assault Standing Strong. It's a nonprofit mission
to help get rid of abuse on women and trafficking.
You're hearing all of this about an alleged hit by
(15:00):
Sean Puffy Combs. The fat sah no, no, no, no, no, it's
not a suspect on Secure, Like, there's twenty thousand people
milling around in Vegas and nobody knows what happens. Fine,
are you surprised after you've heard about violence by Sean
Puffy Combs on Cassie Ventura. This exclusive video of Cassie
(15:23):
Ventura being viciously beaten by Sean Puffy Combs is from
our friends at CNN, kicking her, beating her, and then
him issuing that I don't even know what to call it.
It's kind of more a pr statement as opposed to
an apology. But there's no doubt he did it because
he issues an apology.
Speaker 12 (15:45):
It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in
your life. Sometimes you got to do that. I was,
I mean, I had rock bottom. But I make no excuses.
My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full
(16:07):
responsibility from my ashes in that video.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
So now these bombshell documents have emerged from some moldial
paper box somewhere, and now we know for sure the
Sean Puppy Comes is implicated in the murder of Chupac Shakur.
Are you surprised? If so, why not?
Speaker 13 (16:31):
Only am I not surprised, but the most important part
is his victims aren't surprised.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Nancy.
Speaker 13 (16:38):
This is thirty years ago, and if we walk through
the history of Ditty, through those years, we meet people
like Kim Porter who was abused by Ditty, We meet
people like Cassie Little Rod, all of these people that
are in the wake of devastation of what he's done.
This is just corroborating evidence for who he is and
(16:58):
what he's capable of.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Are you saying that because my experience and domestic violence,
very often the purp doesn't attack anyone except the female victim.
They love object. But you're saying you're not surprised violence
spills over in other areas of the purp's life.
Speaker 13 (17:18):
Explain that, right, And you know, we want to keep
these things under control. If we're an abuser, we want
to manipulate only the person that is the object of
our I don't even want to call it affection, but
our abuse. But the problem with this is sometimes it
(17:38):
seeps out into the rest of our lives, into his career.
We see it in his career. You know, there's a
point where Steve Stout sued him, who is a record
label exect, for assault. So you've got that his social life.
These are the people that he surrounded himself with, gang members,
people like that. So not only is heus for what
(18:00):
he is on the inside, which he shows to Cassie,
but for what he is on the outside and the
people that he surrounds himself with. And it gets all
over everybody, and we're seeing it.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
All these years later, and now we're hearing Sean Puffy
Combs offered a million dollar hit for the murder of
two parts secured. Now remember fed say no, no, no, no, no, no,
not a suspect that comes as not a suspect. But
I can tell you this much to Robert Crispin, private
investigator now at Crispin Special Investigations. But listen to this
(18:32):
former Federal Task Force for the United States Department of
Justice DEA, Miami Field Division, former homicide and Crimes against
Children investigator. Okay, Robert Crispin, I know the FED is saying, yeah,
he's not a suspect, but there's a big problem. When
your name shows up seventy seven times in an official
(18:58):
court offer as ordering a murder hit, that's the problem.
Speaker 8 (19:04):
Yeah, I mean, clearly it's a problem. But I will
tell you from working cases, you got to have coroberating
evidence from something other than a statement from somebody. I
am nearly positive that after that information was given out
that they're some type of a controlled call, attempted some
(19:25):
type of the investigation to tie the cell phones in
together back on that night. Something more has to be
present or more tangible that we can touch to prove
it other than somebody's word, especially if they have a
criminal history.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
It's tough. You don't want to hear it.
Speaker 8 (19:44):
But unfortunately, he hasn't been arrested yet, which leads me
to believe that they don't have enough trust me as
a FED If I had enough to arrest you, I
didn't wait. I went out and I got you. And
the FEDS would love to tag and arrest of he
did he trust me?
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Would?
Speaker 8 (20:00):
This has just gone too long. They just don't have
that one thread that they need. That's my opinion. That's
why he's not in custom.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Yeah. I hear what Chrispin is saying, Daryld Cohen, But
remember Darald Cohen. Before I prosecuted felonies in inner City Atlanta,
I was a FED guys with the FEDS for three years.
You know. On one case alone, I had a whole
room full of cardboard boxes of evidence floor to ceiling,
(20:29):
and they still didn't move on it. For Pete's sake.
I mean, so they're so slow, it's like a Byzantine labyrinth.
It's insane. So I don't know. I don't know if
the Feds have enough or they don't have enough. But
I can't tell you this much. When your name pops
up nearly eighty times connecting you to a hit on
(20:52):
Tupac Shakur, you're up the creek without a paddle. I'm
surprised this guy's still walking around.
Speaker 6 (20:57):
I think Nantcy they're waiting. The magic word here is
yet they don't have enough evidence yet in their view,
because the fans you were there. I haven't been a
federal prosecutor, but I certainly have been in federal court enough.
You know that when they get you, they've got you.
You can't move left, you can't move right, you can't
(21:18):
move up, you can't move down. There is no movement.
They have got you every which way, and that's probably
what they're waiting for. And I agree they're looking for two.
They're looking for the murderer of Tupac, but more than that,
they're looking for somebody called puff Diddy. They want him
and they want him bad. He's been associated with far
(21:40):
more crimes and they've executed search warrants on the East coast,
the West coast. They want him and they want him badly.
And then they've got the other videos of him being
so kind. And I say that with all facetiousness, they're
going to get him, and the word is yet they will.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Well, oh what, darryl Uh, I'm not holding my breath.
You do know Tupac Shaker was going down in nineteen
ninety six and nothing has happened yet, so okay. In
the meantime, listen to.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
This Dwayne Keethy d Davis claims credit for Tupac's murder
on beet and in his memoir he says Puffy Combs
wanted Knight and Tupac's heads after their disc track hit
them up. When Davis offers to carry out the hits,
Combs agrees to pay him one million dollars. According to Davis,
Eric zip Martin, a New York drug dealer, suggests they
(22:32):
have the perfect opportunity to carry out Puffy's hit, and
even provides the gun. Davis, Anderson, Terrence Brown, and DeAndre
Smith stake out the club where Shakur is performing, but
Tupac's a no show and the Crips abandoned the plan.
Driving down the strip, they spot Night and Tupac stopped
in traffic. Brown flips a U turn in their white Cadillac.
Davis passes Anderson the gun, and Anderson leans over Smith
(22:55):
to shoot Tupac.
Speaker 9 (22:56):
Davis public claims about Tupac's murder reinvigorate the Cave. Vegas
police search Kefd's home in Henderson, Nevada. Among items, sees
our computers, hard drives, and magazine articles about Tupac and
his death. After a grand jury, Dwayne Davis is arrested
for murder.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
I can't believe this, Lauren Colin. It took Keifd claiming
credit for Tupac's murder, not only on Beet, but in
his memoirs he wrote about it. It took that to
reinvigorate their words, not mine the case. There's his book
(23:34):
Common Street Legend where he admits to his part in
Tupac's murder. Well, you have to go on Beet and
confess to murder before you can get arrested. Man. You
cannot get arrested in that town.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
And just so you know, he was still bragging about
it as he was being taken out in puffs in
twenty twenty three. But Nancy, I want to point something out.
The fight at the MGM that happened because allegedly Orlando
Anderson stole a death Row Records medallion.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
These were very important.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
There were bounties for these medallions, so they were getting
revenge on Orlando Anderson. And also it should be known
that Keith d is not actually in this video.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Okay, let me understand what Lauren Colin just said. Now,
Lauren Collin, OJ Simpson is a double killer. We all
know that. But then after he skated on those charges,
he then goes and does an armed robbery and an
aggravated assault with one of my old co defendants that
I put behind bars on trafficking drugs, Charles Erlik. They
(24:41):
get together and go commit an armed robbery in Vegas
over what they claim was sports paraphernalia souvenirs that really
belonged to Simpson, and that was the justification. Okay, you're
telling me, oh, well this happened because Orlando had stolen
(25:02):
a medallion. I don't care why it happened.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
True, well, I want to clarify that though I wanted
to just put that out there. And also, don't do
a few death Row Records and Bad Boy Records.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
This is also important.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
It's like the bloods in the Crypts here, these two
record labels were at odd. They were hugely competitive, and
in my opinion here I mean, did he you know
he had a lot to lose if if Death Row
Records did better than Bad Boy Records.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
Second verse, same as the first. Don't care why Tupac
Shakur was gunned down. Don't care. There is no justification
for cold blooded murder. I don't care who stole whose
rap medallion? Don't care, don't care about their food. They're
all rolling in millions of dollars. What are they fighting about?
(25:56):
A vicious sight broke out and one side vowed revenge.
My only question right now to hey with a medallion
or a feud? Don't care. All I care about right
now is did Sean Puffy Combs order this hit?
Speaker 2 (26:16):
KEFD claims Diddy paid one million dollars to have Tupac eliminated.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
I'll tell you this much, and my name popped up
seventy seven times in documents, in court documents belonging to
the FEDS. I would be worried right now. To Lauren
Colin joining us, a host of the Outlier podcast Investigative Reporter,
isn't it true that Sean Puffy Combs has taken everything
down from his social media except for one happy birthday
(26:45):
wish to his daughter?
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Oh yeah, and he has his La mansion for sale.
I mean he is keeping a low profile right now.
It's also been said that he has obtained three different
law offices. I mean, why do you need three.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
I think I know why guys. Did comes order the
hit on Tupac Shakur. Did he offer a million dollars
pay day to whoever would kill his rival? And yes,
Shakour died immediately thereafter according to evidence. Now the fans
insist he's not a suspect. Okay, listen to this.
Speaker 7 (27:24):
Within the first few months of the investigation, our detectives
knew most of the information I just briefed you on. However,
we never had the necessary evidence to bring this case
forward and present it for criminal charges. It wasn't until
twenty eighteen that this case was reinvigorated as additional information
(27:44):
came to light related to this homicide, specifically Dwayne Davis's
own emissions to his involvement in this homicide investigation that
he provided to numerous different media outlets.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Dwayne Davis was.
Speaker 7 (27:58):
The shot caller for this group of individuals that committed
this crime, and he orchestrated the plan that was carried
out to commit this crime.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Here being Vegas Police lieutenant, that's Jason Johansson speaking echo
ing what we heard now private investigator former Fed Robert
Crispins saying that they are looking for just the right
connection to tie the assassination of Tupac Shakur to Sean
Puffy Comes doesn't even exist. Fans keep insisting he's not
(28:31):
a suspect. You know, Darryl Cohen, you ever heard the
phrase from Shakespeare? Mean thanks thou dost protest too much?
I didn't ask them, is diddy? Sean Puffy Comes a
murder suspect a Shakur's murder. They just keep putting it
out there. He's not a suspect. He's not a suspect.
Speaker 6 (28:48):
He's not a suspect until he becomes a defendant. Antie
Joeybarra once said it ain't over until it's over, and
it ain't even close to being over. You just wait
and saw Sean Puffy Holmes is not going to be
a suspect ever until he's a defendant. You just wait.
Time will tell, And it's certainly been twenty eight years,
(29:09):
so another six months or year doesn't matter. The more
pressure that he is under, the more he is going
to start wilting and freaking out if he does what
I predict he's going to do, and we'll.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
See Karen starting joining me a renowned psychologist at Karenstark
dot com Karen. We earlier heard INVESSID reporter Lauren Conlin
trying to make some feeble attempt to explain why the
nephew Orlando Anderson, who's Keith E. D. Davis' younger nephew,
(29:43):
why he was beaten up so viciously at the MGM
Grand following the Tyson fite that reportedly Orlando Orlando Anderson
had stolen a gold I don't mean golden, I mean
gold medallion, some rap medallion. So he was being attacked.
(30:05):
Why does that matter under the law. Revenge as not
a defense to murder.
Speaker 10 (30:14):
And let's look at his If you look at Sean
puvy Cohne's background, right, this is an nefarious, narcissistic guy
who got away with abusing women, doing all kinds of things.
It doesn't really matter, Nancy, although I could see they
find excuses, but they are looking to destroy each other.
(30:36):
Their competitive and it's not a professional organization where they
just do their best to do a good job. They
are angry. This is how they are going about their lives.
And I wouldn't be surprised if he ordered this hit.
They've been saying that for years. Let's just hope that
they actually get him and find something that brings him
(30:59):
to justice.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Okay, So, guys, earlier you were hearing how in the
middle of this bond hearing, a bail hearing Dwayne Davis's bail,
he interrupts the judge okay, to stop this from coming out.
Speaker 11 (31:16):
Listen Clark County Prosecutor's opposition to Dwayne Davis's bail mentioned
Sean Combs nearly eighty times. They argue Davis should not
get bail because he admits he orchestrated Shakerz murder on
the promise of payment from Comb's. During a hearing, Davis
cuts off Judge Carly Kearny to argue his claims about
Diddy made during a two thousand and eight profer agreement
(31:37):
should not be allowed into evidence.
Speaker 12 (31:39):
Now, Nova says, how for fifteen years is a doing
all kind of TV or news people.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
A proper agreement. Dwayne Davis jumps up and starts interrupting
the judge. Okay, to you, Lauren Colin, what happened there
that was interesting?
Speaker 5 (32:00):
Nancy, He was clearly very upset and very nervous at
what was about to happen.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Not only that, Nancy.
Speaker 5 (32:08):
Cash Jones, who was an entertainment rapper had already said
I'm going to put up fifteen percent of your bail,
Dwayne Davis, and allegedly this was because he wanted once
Dwayne got out, he wanted him to be part of
this television series, this documentary, and the judge also was like,
wait a minute, wait a minute, no way, you're not
(32:28):
doing either. So PPD he realizes at this point he
is in a world of garbage.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Law enforcement says Diddy is not and never has been,
a suspect in the killing of Tupac.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Yeah, that's what they're saying. But in a one hundred
and seventy nine page filing, it's revealed that Dwayne Davis
confessed to Tupac's murder and implication Sean Puffy comes, so
are they going to rely on their own documents or
not listen?
Speaker 14 (33:07):
Prosecutors? One hundred and seventy nine page filing reveals that
Dwayne Davis confessed to Tupac's murder ten years prior to
his public statements. Two thousand and eight, Davis is charged
for his participation in an LAPCP ring, facing twenty five
years in prison. The LAPD offers him a profit agreement
regarding the nineteen ninety six drive by shooting of Shakur,
(33:28):
Davis details the planning, attack and aftermath of the shooting
down to a confirmation call from Puffy, who allegedly asked,
was that US okay?
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Did you hear that? To Shannon Henry joining US president
founder SASS surviving assault, standing strong reportedly after the hit.
After Tupac's been shot, it took him six days to die.
This happened in nineteen ninety six. According to Davis, there
was a confirmation call, a phone call from Sean Puffy
(34:01):
Combs after he hears Tupac's been hit, and he says, quote,
was that us, like somebody else has a hit. That's right,
that's right.
Speaker 13 (34:11):
And I know this is all in line with how
he behaves, making sure that he's everything's being followed through
with making sure that the directives he gives are followed.
My fear is is that it's not what you know,
but what you can prove, and my hope is that
this ties him directly to what has happened to Tupac. Now,
(34:34):
my other fear is with all of this coming out,
that people are going to forget the history of Diddy
and what he's done, and that this distracts us from
the decades of violence and abuse. And I just pray
that this is corroborating evidence and that our victims will
finally see justice, all of them.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
You know another thing, and you don't normally have this
to Robert Crispin and Darryl co when I think you
agree with me. You don't normally only get evidence on tape.
But guess what we've got it. Listen, oh quick, it's
not who brought up the amount of one million dollars.
Speaker 6 (35:14):
H Puffy.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
So Lauren and Colin joining me, investigative reporter. We are
actually hearing and this is all the way from two
thousand and eight. Two thousand and eight, you hear Davis
stating that Combs ordered the hit. Explain what we're hearing. Correct.
Speaker 5 (35:39):
In two thousand and eight, he gave this interview stating
or kepd gave this interview stating that they were hanging
out in California, a group of people. They were in
a room and Puffy said he went by Puffy at
the time. I would give anything for Shove's head, he said,
Shug perhaps that Tupac as well. But we all know
(36:01):
what happened.
Speaker 13 (36:02):
After that.
Speaker 5 (36:03):
Now, KEVD also claimed that he never got the money. Nancy,
he never got this million dollar Eric zip Martin got
this money. This is very interesting as well.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Do I care if a hit man didn't get paid. No,
let's hear the interview again. Please.
Speaker 6 (36:22):
He said kill anything when he'll do it.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
He said it in front of all those people.
Speaker 6 (36:26):
I'll go and leave it, old crips, we'll wipe it,
oh quick. You know, there's nothing who.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
Brought up the amount of one million dollars?
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Okay, let me stay. It's kind of it's kind of grainy,
he says. Quote. He said he'd give us anything for them.
Dude's head. He said it in front of all of
them people. I couldn't believe it. A whole room full
of crips. Will wipe their ass out quick. You know,
it's nothing question who brought the amount of one million dollars? Davis?
(37:03):
He did? Detective Puffy did Davis. Yeah, okay, listen to
the rest.
Speaker 6 (37:13):
Here. You go.
Speaker 7 (37:16):
Check your records where they will Biggy ever involved in
any of these conversations.
Speaker 14 (37:20):
That you always just good.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
This is okay, So, Lauren Collin, what are we hearing there?
Speaker 5 (37:28):
We are hearing that keepd implicates Puffy and says, this
is all Puffy is doing, and listen, I believe it.
Do they really want us to think that keypd masterminded
this entire thing? I mean, do you hear him speak?
I for one completely believed that Puffy masterminded it, even
though he's not a suspect. But yeah, this this goes
(37:48):
back and this could be a big conspiracy.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
To commit murder charge.
Speaker 9 (37:54):
Sean didd Comb's legal team has been notified that he
is the subject of a federal investigation, and the notification
implies that Comb's is quote within the scope of an investigation,
but not a quote target. That designation can be upgraded
or downgraded as the investigation continues. A grand jury is
(38:14):
reportedly hearing evidence tied to the investigation, but there is
no indication that any charges are pending.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
Similar to what Shannon Henry from SAS and Karen start
renown psychologists have stated, violence seemingly spills over into other
areas of Sempa becomes his life. Listen.
Speaker 14 (38:32):
Vibe magazine editor in chief Danielle Smith has Comb's posen
angel Wings to go with the tagline the Good, the Bad,
and the Puffy for the cover of the December ninety
seven January ninety eight double issue. A few days before
the release, Combs insists on approving the cover. Vibe denies
his request, and Smith later receives a phone call from
Combs threatening to see her quote dead in the trunk
(38:55):
of a car. Her coworkers rush to hide Smith afraid
of what Diddy and his posse might do.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
So let me understand this Sean Puffy comes. According to
this female magazine editor in chief at Vibe Magazine, Danielle Smith,
she sets up a cover sheet for him. He wants
to approve it. She says, no, we don't do that,
and he threatens that he will see her dead in
(39:22):
the trunk of a car. Okay, Karen Starr, what about it?
No surprise, Nancy.
Speaker 10 (39:28):
This is his response to everything.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
Think about it.
Speaker 10 (39:32):
You do something wrong, you cross this path, and he
is going to say, Okay, you're ending up in this car.
You're ending up shot, you're ending up something, threatening people.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
And he gets.
Speaker 10 (39:44):
Away with it for years, along with abusing the women
because he's so charming. Everybody thinks he's so wonderful. But
not anymore. It's all catching up with him.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
And of course, what a coinkydink. The next morning, the
Vibe office is trashed. Listen.
Speaker 11 (40:01):
The next morning, staffers find the Vibe office broken into
and all of its servers stolen. The entire issue is gone.
Editors immediately suspect Combs and his bad boy crew are
behind the robbery. Luckily, an employee saved a copy to
a personal drive and the magazine makes its delivery for print.
Smith says at the time she did not realize the
(40:21):
extent of the potential danger Combs post, but now looks
back on the incident unnerved.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
What a coinky dank right. And remember, according to the FEDS,
Sean Puffy Combs aka Diddy is not a suspect in
the Martyr of Twopot Shaker Nancy Gray signing off goodbye friend,
