Julian Reeves returns to Culture Raises Us to deliver a powerful reminder: the future isn’t owned by corporations—it’s being built by creators. In this inspiring conversation, Julian explores the rise of a builder’s culture, where AI, discipline, and spiritual intention collide to empower a new generation of independent thinkers, makers, and leaders.

He breaks down how consumer culture thrives on dopamine while builders thrive on discipline, and why now—more than ever—is the time to embrace creation over consumption. Whether you're starting a business, leveling up creatively, or seeking personal growth, Julian makes the case for building systems, rituals, and legacies that truly matter.

Learn how AI can be your army, not your adversary, and why self-mastery and intentional living are the keys to unlocking your full potential. This episode is a roadmap for the dreamers, doers, and disruptors who know they were made to lead.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Julian's back. You know, I always talk about this gentleman
as a key part of what the future of things
will look like, and you know, you have been talking
about this notion of builders a lot. Give some context
on what it means to be a builder in today's world,
and not just in tech or business, but you know,
culturally and spiritually.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Yeah, for sure, I think from a high level, being
a builder today definitely just means creating with intention while
the rest of the world is consuming so much on autopilot.
So it's not just about, like you said, building companies
or building tech. It's really just like what systems, what beliefs,
what philosophies, rituals, legacies, what kind of things like that

(00:44):
are your building? And it's like what will outlive me?
Will be the question that I think a lot of
people are asking now and then with AI it makes
it a lot easier to start building things that I'll
live you for sure.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Is it a difference or how do you distinguish between
a consumer culture and a builder culture in this same scenario?
Is there a difference?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yeah? I mean it put it simply, consumer culture is dopamine.
A builder culture is disciplined. So all consumers are constantly scrolling,
are constantly scrolling. The builders are the ones that are
really creating culture. And so I feel like consumers had
it so easy because it's so simple just to get

(01:28):
on your phone, and so the builders are going to
be the ones who can have that work ethic to
put it down and really take time to just build
things and create things that are new and original. For sure.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
You know you also have been talking about how the
world is varying very anti corporate. Why do you think
there's this growing culture distrust towards corporations?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah, this is my favorite question by far, for sure.
I think there's two sides of this. So the distrust
is because I think that now with just the ability
to have more information to just as GBT any question,
you can look behind the curtain so much. You can
see what these companies are doing. You can see why
these layouts are happening, you can see things kind of crumbling,
and so from the other perspective, the other side of

(02:16):
this question now was like why is it going so
anti corporate? Is because now it's so easy to offer
value to other people and monetize your own passions and
skill set, whereas before it took so much to be
able to be an entrepreneur. You can now easily generate
a business plan. You can easily use AI to be
your quote unquote assistance and employees if you really want

(02:38):
to understand it and self teach yourself. So I think
as AI gets better, as people become more empowered to
become a builder and see what's possible, you're going to
see less and less corporate jobs just because people feel
more empowered that they can do things on their own independently.
You know.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
I think that's a great segue of your advocacy of
AI is pretty evident. And there's so many people though
who fear AI will replace creators and you kind of
you kind of talked about it just now a little
bit and you've used it though to empower your own work.
What mindset shift is needed though, to move from this

(03:18):
sense of fear to a position of leverage.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Yeah, I think the fear part of it is like
AI is coming for me, But I mean truthfully, it's
like AI is coming from you, these tools to build
with you. So now you have a lot more clarity
and what you're doing, you now are not just operating alone.
You're operating with the army. So it's not that AI
is going to take over, it's the people who are

(03:44):
using AD build their own army are going to take over.
So that's how I'd like to look at that for sure.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yo, that visual that you just painted right there, how
AI is going to help you build your army Like
that is totally a mindset shift from the fear that
many people have in them based off of how it
was positioned or how they're absorbing it or how they're
viewing it right now. But that's the that's the that's

(04:10):
the switch. That is the like if you can switch
over to looking at how it's going to assist you
to build your army. That was a gem.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I mean, an army is nothing without as general. So
it's like you shouldn't be fearing the sheet, You should
be fearing the wolf who knows how to control the
sheet for sure. You know.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
The other thing we talked about recently was this this
notion of live elite. What what?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
What?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
What is?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
What is that? Yeah? So live elite is somebody actually
coined this term for me. So I'm a very disciplined person.
I have my rituals, you know, in terms of like
I only drink water every day. I make sure I run.
I have a certain thing with not looking at my
phone after a certain amount of time, you know at night,
and live elite is just my philosophy I live by
to make sure every habit have is elite.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
For sure. How does that connect to this deeper spiritual
responsibility or self mastery, intentionality and your creation like mindset.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah, for sure. I mean this even goes back to
what we're talking about briefly before in terms of not
being at a consumer and being a creator, because a
lot of times it is easy just to relax at
nine and go ahead to turn on the Netflix, just
to even while you're working, turn on some YouTube or
something to start consuming. And so for me, spiritually, it's
about building myself up to a point where I'm kind

(05:35):
of building a spiritual fortress where I'm building the mental toughness.
I'm building these habits, using these supplements, et cetera that
can allow me as a builder to have the most
leverage possible.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
For sure, you're trying to be the best version of yourself.
It sounds like you're trying to maximize all the tools
that you're at at your disposal, but you're also trying
to minimize all the things that can be hazardous because
of potential over consumption or over stimulation.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
It sounds like, yeah, for sure. I think it's just
it's going to be so easy to step into that
world of consumption and it can lead you down a
path of distraction and wasting time. And I just know
that the way that my goals are and what I
want to build in the legacy I want to leave,
there just has to be systems set up in place
to make sure that I can live up to those

(06:25):
standards I have for myself.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
So what advice would you give to someone who feels
the call to build but doesn't know where to start
or how to start?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah, for sure, I would say you will get as
far as your desire to learn will take you. So
if you don't know how to build yet, there is
nothing stopping you from using YouTube. YouTube is zero dollars,
it's free, and there are plenty of free courses on
things called like Coursera where you can learn AI, you

(06:55):
can learn creation. There's nothing stopping anybody from being an
entrepreneur that can build a business with AI to grant
the financial freedom. So I would say there's nothing stopping
people from learning everything they need to learn in order
to be who they want to be now. And it's
never been easier, never been easier.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
It's and again, I think you've just made it very
digestible for people to wrap their head around how to
get into something that might seem so daunting but really
isn't and it is really here to help you become
the best independent self living a full free life, which
is amazing. So with that, in ten years, what does

(07:37):
the world look like if more people kind of adopt
this builder's mindset rooted in some of the values and
intentional living that you spoke on.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
For sure, So I wasn't alive back when it was
Black Wall Street, but I imagine it will be something
similar to that where a lot of people, the masses
now are taking it upon themselves, have the initiative to
build their own businesses, own communities and just depend way
less on corporations. You're going to see probably the fall
of a lot of these big corporations that used to

(08:08):
kind of just pay people, you know, minimum wage or
just give them entry level jobs. Because now I like
to relate it back to Bactley. Basically, the early nineteen hundreds,
when the vehicle became popular, the lower class and middle
class got a tool that changed the trajectory of their life,
the exact same thing that's going on right now. Where
with AI, the lower class and middle class have access

(08:29):
to free AI tools that give them infinite knowledge to
change the trajectory of their life. So we'll see in
ten years how different things look.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
For sure, Man, I can't thank you enough once again
for your insight, your hunger, and your desire to share.
I appreciate you

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Of course, happy to be here,
