champions across the two divisions, so we good for the Mustangs.
Andy Howe UFC two ninety eight, iliot To Puria becomes
a new featherweight champion in the world. Look, guys, I

can't say that. I can say that I'm not a
bit I'm a bit surprised that it went down the
way that it did, only because and only because he
said it to me, And you can go back to

the video when he says he's gonna do it one round,
I always double take because I know who Alexander Volklanowski is,
so almost was like, wait, what you think it's gonna
take you around to get this dude out of there?
He did it in too. You know. Volk started the
first couple of rounds and you can see him throwing

he fought Max Holloway the first time, he wasn't sure
how to approach Holloway as a puzzle and how he
wanted to fight him to try to become the champion,
So he fought behind a lot of kicks inside leg kick.
That first round, Volkanovski threw more kicks than I have
seen him throw in a really long time. That told

me right away that he was very weary of the power,
because again, the legs are longer than the arms, so
you can get to him with much less danger than
you trying to get to him with your hands. So
when I saw that, I said, this dude, he respected

the power of the Pooria. But he openly said that
when the Poorio started to get his range, he said,
even in the interviews, he's got to throw long combinations
try to get the vote. That's exactly what he did.
He threw a long combination and nothing landed right. He
went right to the body left of top, right hand

that kind of passed the ear of Volkanowski, and then
Alex turned right or over the top put him completely out.
You know, the reason he threw those long combinations, and
I keep pointing to the interview, is because he said

he didn't have to really respect the power of Volklanowski.
He said, it's different than it against Eric. He knew
how hard he hit, so he had to be very cautious.
This time he didn't need to, so he was willing
to extend his combination to four five punches, and ultimately
the fifth punch is what got the champion or the

former champion. You know, volk fought a good first round,
he really did, and he looked like himself. But it
was a weird dynamic in this fight because he felt

like Volkanowski was trying to be safe in a fight
against a guy that would never allow you to be safe.
To pour his confidence all week really was like mind blowing,
and he was so filled with belief or the belief

that he was gonna be a champ that when I left,
I said, Wow, he's got a ton of charisma, He's
got a ton of belief. And I'm talking to his coaches,
the brothers, and they said, man, we got him when
he was just a little boy. We've been seeing this,
We've seen his development time and time again, and this

feels like destiny for him to not only become champion,
but to become champion over someone that's been as dominant
as Voge. I thought, the poor you did a great job.
And when you call your shot like that against someone

that dominated in the way that Vogue did, you can
become a star. And as I said, prior. I believe
that this kid after that result, has star quality, has
star potential, and a big time push is in store
for Iliot to pour you. Now, anytime a great champion loses,

I'm not here to write this man off, and I
think you guys should reserve those thoughts for a little
