So when did you guys start watching? Well, actually, Lindsey
got me. Lindsay got me into the show not that
long ago. Um, I stumbled upon it maybe right before

the Sailboat one that just happened like last season, and
I got into it. And then only a few weeks
ago I got Kelly into it. And then she went
down like a quarantine rabbit hole and went back to
the beginning and watched all of them. And this is
a week ago. You say it was like a week ago. Yeah, click.

I thought doing it in a year was very fast.
So Lindsay got me into the show really recently. The
last season of was it med right, I don't even know.
It was like the last few last seasons, even just
the last few episodes, and I was like, I have
been sleeping on this show. So I got super excited
about it totally. Like you said, one down a quarantine

rabbit hole. Now I haven't gotten I'm kind of doing
things sort of like sequentially. So I started with episode one,
I mean with season one, and I'm all the way
up to season seven now, so I've been watching that
like in between all of the episodes of this current season. Both. Yes,
but I haven't gotten back to I haven't started even

with season one med okay, so I have to. So
I have barely watched any MEDA. So that's what that's
that's my achilles. He'll don't get any discussion about that.
That sounds pre incredible. Also, you have this is what
we've been talking about on this show because we were
doing an episode today. For the whole year. Um, we
keep talking about how um, you know, we we know everything.

We've seen everything, and so when we talk about something,
we saw every episode this year. We have been doing
the show forever and forgot stuff, and so it's like
you have such a it's like every episode aired this
month for you. Exactly, it really did. And I think
I'm going to start from the beginning to because this
is what I need right now. During this time, it

has been a very very important thing for me. They're
my friends. Yeah, I feel very close to all of them.

those horribly obnoxious guests who go in the wheelhouse and
start feeling him up and telling him how good he
looks in his uniform and inviting him to dinner and
like trying to fee him oysters off of my fork.

time they leave, I say something snarky, like I don't
even mean it, I just like I have something to say.
But that's how you'd be as a guest to the crew,
you know, Like to you guys, i'd be like this motherfucker.

because I know the hell of service so well that
I would definitely be like, oh my god, if you
I mean take your time. Literally, I would give them
so many chances to give them, like an hour to
get me a rose. And I wouldn't complain for me, like,
I know it's not the same thing, but it's similar.
But I worked on a cruise ship, and so I
would have a lot of sympathy for those people. Yeah,

but then at a certain point it turns right and
then you're like, I know how hard you have to
be working here, and I've done it before, so why
can't you just yeah, fucking mora. I think when you
get money, you have like a good week where you're
a good person, yeah, and then it destroys you other. Okay,

what has been your favorite season from what you've watched
so far? Wow? Um, I would say I think like
the first couple honestly, Like I'm I really love Eddie,
even though there's a lot. I mean, there's a lot
to unpack there, and there's there were there was a
time when I did not love him definitely, Um, but

I enjoy watching him and I like his his seasons.
I think I like the original like maybe two seasons
where he was trying to drive Rocky to suicide. Oh God,
that's when I stopped liking him, And now I like
him again. We can get into it, people can redeem themselves.
I think I hated him at that moment and I
enjoyed Kate's season. I like Kate's seasons. Every season in

every season's the other? What was the other on MED?
I guess she's in literally everything I've seen on the regular.
Kate wasn't two to seven regular, and then the first
season of Regular they had Adrian Gang, who was the worst.
I'm glad she's gone. And then Hannah so far has

been all of Med until season five basically, and I
like Hannah, but there's something special about Kate. Kate is
Kate is my soul mate. I want I want to
throw a new, a new question into the mix and

The most memorable Charter guests is Foam Steve Foam Mexico Mansion.

Steve Captain Lee's good friend. He goes down to Mexico Mansions,
hangs out with Steve. That's what makes That's the kind
of stuff that makes me think Captain Lee isn't perfect.
He does with terrible people. He hung out with him off, Yeah,
they're friends friends. Well, yeah, I do know that he's

posted about going down to Mexico Mansions with his family
and stuff like Mexico Mansions. It's Steve's giant Mexican resort property,
owns a bunch of mansions that you can rent and
then they have like a full staff in them and
then they like cook for you or take care of
you and play with alligators apparently little baby alligators. I mean, well,

like Rachel the chef, I thought, these guests right now,
we're going to be like the worst, and they want
to be great. Yeah, biggest turnaround I think history reality. Yeah,
But honestly, can I just say you, guys, every season
that I finished, I'm like, that was the best season. So,
like to answer your question, I'm actually not sure they're

all the best. Right after I watched, I'm like, that
was incredible, full of tops and uh you know, topsy
turvy ups and downs. Everything uh fell apart and then
it came back together, and like, I'm really enjoying this
current season a lot. Yeah, it's good. I love Rachel.
I mean you kind of already answered this, But my
final question is usually who's your favorite? And so like,
who's your favorite cast member to have ever been on

the show? And it sounds like you guys really like Kate.
I really like Kate. I love Kate, I think any
other I really love Rachel. I mean she's only been
on this season as far as I know, unless she
was on med. But um, and I really love Chef Ben.
He cracked me up. He really cracks me up. Yeah,
Chef Ben's a classic. I wish you'd come back, but

I think his time is over. I think it happens.
You just get real burnt out right. I mean you can't. Yeah,
they're doing this crazy job and it's a show. It's
just a lot. I'm sure you're sleeping there. I mean
it's like you can't escape it. Like when I worked
on that. I worked on a cruise ship for six months.
It was like you we need yes, Like you can't

go anywhere. Everyone knows where you live, you can't call
out sick. It's like you're just trapped in this space.
And it's like you can't like, oh my grandmother's six Sorry,
I can't come to work today. It's like no, like
there's someone sleeping on top of you. Like that's it,
you know. So I think it's like after a while,
you gotta like bounce. Yeah, And I do think because

like these people like gain a level of celebrity and
like followings that it's like why the funk would I
keep doing? Right? Like I could just sell tummy t
whatever it's called on Instagram and like live my Life
tumm probably all of them are. That's a key Instagram
influencer brand. They reach out to everybody. Yeah, they're also

there's something about living in a van. So many of
these people live in a van and travel around and
document their adventures. Adam does, Asia does, Rocky does, There's others. Yeah,
they're The van industry is all mixed up in this.

They like they like the nomad list, surf and turf. Well,
the thing about the yacht van cruise ship, this is
the connection. Okay, So the cool thing about like working
on a yacht or a ship. I've never lived in
a van, but I can imagine that's similar. Is like
when you backpack through Europe, and when you backpack to travel,
you have to like take your ship out on pack

it go to a new place. Then you go to
a new place. When you live on in a cruise
ship or when you live on a yacht, you may
be moving, the ship is moving, but you're staying in
the same bed. So like, while it's this nomadic life,
there is a sense of like I don't have to move,
it's just coming with me and I feel like that's
probably the same as the van. It's like you just

stick the van, stick all your ship in the van.
You get to travel, but you don't have to keep
like loading and loading and unloading and loading, and they're
used to small spaces. Yeah, so what do you do
on the cruise ship. I was a singer on a ship,
like right out of college, so you were like high talent.
You weren't like what could be You were like, I'm

the singer. We were treated like guests based like a
hierarchy of like it was kind of the first time
I saw like, oh, I'm the only American girl in
the ship, so I'm treated a certain way compared to
like the guy who like works at the bar from
the Philippines. Like. It was a very interesting, weird experience.

(15:38):
But yeah, I was for six months. There were four
performers and we had our own rooms, which was really great. Um,
so we were treated really well compared to the rest
of the crew. Right. The hierarchy the cast system within
boats really damning. It's so truly like mirrors like society

(15:58):
in a way that you're like, oh, we don't have
to keep doing it this way, but they're like, no, no,
there's a rank and you because you're the lowest of
the low you are you need to be sexually harassed.
And it's like, yeah, like you're on a boat, normal
rules don't apply. You've left the earth and now you're
in the military. Yeah. For example, like the laundry guys,

there are four people in one room and they worked
like a ten hour, twelve hour day, right, or let's
say even more than that. We did a show, had
our own room and then we were like in Greece,
like you know, living our lives so the fullest and
just taking home a bunch of money. Like it was
really gross the way it was. Yeah, it was like

a casystem. It was very strange. The below deck crew,
they're kind of all on the same level. But you
did see this episode with like I'm taking your stripes away,
Like there still is that weird so power thing? Right, Yeah,
all right, let's get into it. Actually, So yeah, season
season eight, episode nine, So we continue with Francesca actually
bitching to Captain Lee about Elizabeth and being like every

time she takes a step forward, she takes like eight
steps back. Let me try and do an Australian accent.
I just don't know what to do with her. Why
that's British, that's pretty good. I usually start with like
cheese and chickens and strips and rice, and that gives
me and know you did it, and also and Paige

and eat the end of the Elizabeth is always eating
her chaise and pass and taking a step backward. Actually
it works, it works. You're welcome for the those take
those straps back, take the straps. I actually still can't

stand her, and I wouldn't last two days working under
that woman. Francesca. Yeah, I'm not a good enough employee
for her. And the way that Francesca takes all of
her ship, Like I know I couldn't or not Francesco.
Elizabeth takes all the Francesco's ship. I know that. Like
I couldn't take one of those. I couldn't take one

instance of someone talking to me that way. You really couldn't.
I would love to just for a scene, replace Elizabeth.
And I mean I had service jobs. I worked in
a bunch of restaurants. I had those conversations, and I
reacted the way you think I would. I went up
an assistant manager, needed to like key in something for me,

you know, I was totally in the weeds and I'm
just like running around. He's sitting there with like the
other managers at the bar, and I go up to him.
I was like, I need you to overhead this thing.
And then I come back like five minutes later and
I'm like, buddy, I need you to do it now. Yeah.
He was like, I'll do it when I get to it,
you know. And I'm like and I'm like, what are
you doing? Like you're just sitting here like this is insane. Anyway,

(18:53):
I got fired from that in UM, which is like great,
I don't want to work. I mean, you fucking suck. Yeah. Absolutely.
Here's the thing about in my petry, Like Elizabeth is
like the sweetest, kindest, like cutest, so like she should
be able to ride on that with the guests. She
should be able to use that. That's what I did.

(19:14):
I was a terrible server. I was like the schmoozer
of the schmoozer. But you can't expect any more from me.
I am not what you want me to be. So
I'm gonna I'm going to be the schmoozer. You do
that ship your strength. Yeah yeah, but yeah, Elizabeth's just
she's a she's a sweet dummy, which is unfortunate because
you know she would create that mask the mustard gas

bomb situation, but she has no idea, Like she's just
like yeah, like I do. At times see Francesca's point
of like she's just not improving and like doesn't listen
well because she's like too busy, like you know, thinking
about her crystals or whatever. I always think it's it's
because she keeps crystals in her bra and that would

really like distract me, Like I would always be like,
they're sending my bra, so it's my crystal. But also
like I don't think Francesca is a very good manager.
Like every time, like Elizabeth tries to speak to her,
like hey, can we talk, She's always like no, I'm busy,
or like I can't explain to any further, So I
don't know what I think. Francesco kind of gave up

on her really quickly and then has basically had it
out for her ever since. She's been keeps going. She
keeps like tattling to Captain Lee, trying to get her fired,
and it's kind of it's kind of nasty. She's not
really doing anything to remedy the situation, right, Captain is
just kind of like, I don't care. It's hard. And
we talked against someone or a place service late in

the season, and Francesca, like Chase and Craca, God Damnito
so much love enough skills to be able to do
the things. That's that Like she could just say delegate,
like you do this, this, this, and then we'll do
all the other stuff. But there's tons of stuff that
girl can do and be good at it. Yeah, she's

she's not the brightest bull, but she's not a complete moron,
like she can do essential things. Yeah. And I also
I do think I do personally think that she was
promoted prematurely. I don't think she should have become second
to so quickly. I don't know why Francesco promoted her
so fast. I guess in comparison to when Izzy was
a stew was like just truly moving as quick as molasses,
just like so slow. Later we find out it's because

she literally lost all like she was in a coma
and and couldn't like she was paralyzed. So now I
like felt bad being like she's so slow, and it's like, no,
she actually has to relearn to walk, like that's information
we need. But right, right, But I mean like, yes,
compared to Izzy, Yes, Elizabeth was doing great, But I
don't think she should have promoted her to begin with,
because I do think Elizabeth is a great third stew

you know, she's a great like at least I don't know.
I mean, I think we find to have. Yeah, maybe
the crystals actually are interfere with some like stuff that's
going and mentally, you know what I mean, there's some
sending out some wavelengths that are Yeah, she's too interested

in the energy than her job, which is always going
to hold you back in my opinion. Uh well, anyway,
is he and Elizabeth they're talking shit about Francesca in
the weird like high up room where you have to
go up the stairs, which I didn't even realize was
a thing until I saw that. Is he is literally
being like, you would be a better manager than her,
and I'm like, well that's that's that's a little too far.

But then is he calls Francesca fucking twat, which Francesca
hears this conversation was lit. Oh I know this isn't happen.
Actually I jumped ahead. This conversation happens later, So this
is just Elizabeth telling Iszy uh that Francesca sucks to

her while they're at the beach picnic. Yes, is He
tells Elizabeth that Ash and Francesca got to jump in
the water once guests were gone, and then then Elizabeth's like,
that's not fair. She's punishing me on purpose. And then
Izzy gets Elizabeth to jump in the water as well
with her after the guests go back to the boat.
And then at some point is He says that she

should probably go see a therapist, which I didn't really
understand the through line to that. Me neither, But I
will say is he has a great ass, and I
was very surprised by that. I didn't see her coming.
She hadn't. I didn't notice it. She had a great
little bikini body. I think the women on the show
are generally pretty hot. Any of the men those outfits

like don't you can't tell, And so when she was
in a bikini, I was like, damn, girl, get it.
I can explain the therapist thing. I think I understood
what was going Yeah, tell us, Yeah. I think she
was just saying she tries to help the underdog. She
tries to help people who are going through something emotional,
like as a way to kind of heal herself because
she can't heal herself, so she tries to save other people.

So she's like, maybe I should talk to my therapist

we didn't talk at all about how there's a new spinoff, Yeah,

at all. But we know an editor on it, and
I would love to have her own show. I'm just

two people who happen to live in the same vicinity,

out of my way to watch Galli Talk. I don't
need to hear any three weeks from now. It's our
favorite show now, it's all we talk about. We stopped
watching regular below Deck and we only watch Galli Talk.
We already watched those episodes. We do not need to

understand why they keep encouraging calling to wrap over everything.

So everything about it, It's only going to take me

You just keep moving so good. They're great. Even this episode,

the second half was so good, and I was like,
so good. Because I'm interspersing this season because it only
comes out once a week, so for the other six
days of the week, I have to fill my time

I feel like it was boring until it was kind
of boring until the seventh episode when three people got
fired or left in the same in the same um.

flip it around and for like hours, and they went
over and watched it and they were like, it's wonderful
that we get to watch this. They were for him,
We feel so bad he has to do that for us,

game moment where these people are just being so casually
nice and polite and delightful. Rob the new deckhand, who
