Speaker 1 (00:07):
Welcome back to the DBO and Joe Show.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
I am your host, James d BO Harrison. I'm here
with my co host, Joe Hayden. Make sure you guys
like and subscribe. You don't want to miss nothing that
we got going on. So Joe, I went on ahead
and wore my college shirt to day. Make sure I
keep myself professional and I don't. I don't go to
saying things that's unprofessional, you know. So that's yeah, that's
(00:32):
that's why I had to put on that.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
You're keeping a classy today.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Got to got to you know, after you know, Sunday,
I'm not feeling myself, you know what I mean. Sokay,
but we're well, we'll get into that. Let's let's let's
see what I went down with this Eagles Super Bowl
rematch with the Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Man. So the Chiefs obviously lost.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
We know that they're now going too for the first
time since two and fourteen. Dude, Patrick Mahomes starts owing
two for the first time since his sophomore year in
high school. Bro, While yes, tell me about it. Jaden
Hurst is now three and two against pat including the playoffs,
two and one in the regular season, Brother, what do
(01:19):
you have to say about this, brother.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I think so, long story short, this is not good
for the for the Chiefs. I didn't think they started
off too well this season. Obviously going on too. But
this is my thing, this is my take on the game.
Let's just get into what I think went.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I think the Chiefs need to start getting a run game.
They're depending too much on Patrick Mahomes to be Patrick Mahomes,
and I know that's gonna be the situation where he's
gonna do great things. He's gonna be able to use
his less, he's gonna be able to extend plays.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
But there's no running game.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
We need to see more for check up, we need
to see more Kareem Hunt more just being able to
get some play action, being able to just take some
pressure off of him.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
So that was one of my main things there.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
And then at the same time, Kim and Travis Kelcey,
Travis was balling. When you're playing against when it's good
on good, when you're playing against a team like the Eagles,
those little things like that that dropped in the end zone,
that's you.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Got to drop that turned into a pick. So that
turned into that.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
I mean that drop was turned into a turnover, you
know what I'm saying, which was turning the points. And
when you give the Eagles team which does have a
run game, then being able to give the ball to
Sakwon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, didn't have the numbers, didn't do
extremely too well. But when it was third and ten,
when it was time that ball to Devonte Smith on
the side, for him to catch that ball on third
and ten, and then and then for them to be
(02:42):
able to get the touch.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Push you know what I'm saying, to score that touchdown.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
And then with not giving the ball back to Patrick Mahomes,
that's the thing I look about them instead of the
thing that the Ravens would do with kick it back
to them, give them a chance. No, let's finish this here.
Our team is better than yours. We're going to get
this first down to walk out of the stadium. He's
not worried about yards, he's not worried about how many
all this. No, I left this game and we won,
(03:06):
and y'all lost, and we're gonna get to the next stadium.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
So that's why I rock with the Eagles big time.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Not getting the ball back to the Chiefs but then
with the Chiefs, when you're playing good on good, you're
going to you can't make turnovers like that. But I
think at the same time, you need some run game.
Patrick Mahomes needs some help there where you do have
to check out, you do have Korean hunt, get them
involved where they're like totally so they have to worry
about them.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
So I think it was a really good game.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
I think the Chiefs still got stuff to work on,
you know, saying as far as like run game wise,
Patrick Mahomes is still nice.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
But the Eagles, I think.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
It's more Eagles good getting out of that stadium playing
winning football. And I think that's that's what it is
when I see the Eagles play. That's just a great
football team.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, I think you know, the offense is built to
run the football. You went and God, say KWin for
a reason, and he went, exactly what it is that
you know y'all want him to do. They're winning with
the time of possession. You know, they're giving their defense
time to rest, which is you know, letting them when
they run the ball. You know, he's not getting stopped
for negative yards very often, so they're staying ahead of
(04:10):
the chains.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Defense gets the rest.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
They come out there and when it comes down to it,
you know, just the last couple of games, like the
defense plays better than the defense that they play against,
and they do nothing so that they can be in
those situations to win those games.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Come that fourth.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Quarter, they said, complementary football, bro, Yes, very oh yes, dude,
it's very, very very complementary football.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
You know when you look at it. I think it
was Chris was it Chris Jones? Yeah, Chris Jones said
to Hurts at the end of the game. He said,
you didn't even get a hundred yards, and Hurts said,
we won the fucking game.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Shut your ass up. You know.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
That's that's really what it came down to. He did
what was necessary for his team to win. He may
not have put up the numbers that you know he
had put up in the Super Bowl, but he did
what was necessary for his team to win. And I
think that's all you can ask for, is for the
offense and defense to compliment each other and special teams
(05:11):
add into it. And that's you know, that's really what
they have going on right now, you know, over in Philly,
and you you really can't knock it too much, man, but.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
You love to see it. At the end of the day,
you know what I'm saying. People love to see points.
You want to see your quarterback throwing uh outside here.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
I like seeing a hard fought, defensive game where I
don't want to see five hundred yards on the field.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
I don't want to see. That's not exciting to me. Dude,
I don't understand that.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
I mean, somebody's playing bad. Somebody's playing that.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
It's bad football being played. If there's no question, you
know what I'm saying, passing, You know what I'm saying, somebody's.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Yes, yes, who's in the wrong spot. Yeah, So that's
when we're gonna get to what. I had to go
ahead and put my college shirt on. You know, I
had to get professional because we got to we got
to talk about my Stellers, you know.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
So yeah bad, Yeah, yeah, we lost.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
I was My question was, Look, this is what I
wanted to talk to you about, James. I wanted to
see how how you were with the Stellers winning. If
you get real cranky and start wearing collar shirts when
they lose, I guess you start wearing collar shirts when
they lose and don't towld up where they win.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Hey, I'm gonna tell you, it ain't nothing like when
you lose and you actually playing.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
It ain't nothing like that. You're right, you know, Hey,
I left the game. As soon as I left the game, brother,
I wasn't bad, you know, I was. I was.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
I was pretty good. I'm you were present. You were
in the building, Yes, yes, I was in the building, brother.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
So it's not that, it's not that.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
It's not the same, not the same concept as when
you're you know, you're actually playing the game.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
No, for sure.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
For the first time since two thousand and two, the
Stealers have allowed more than thirty points. In the first
two games, the Stellers defense gave up fourteen players of
ten yards or more. The defense with six first with sixth.
Former first rounder allowed back to back one hundred yard
rushers cuttness Man. Stillers don't give up rushing. That's just
(07:09):
something as a base that's one of the things that's
supposed to be the standard. You don't give up one
hundred yard rusher, and dude, I don't. I really can't
understand what's going on with the defense. I'm nervous, I'm scared,
I'm Yeah, I'm actually a little.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Past that, dude.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Like the defense is bad, dude, Like you gave up
thirty two points to the Jets for almost four hundred
yards dude.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
What was it?
Speaker 2 (07:41):
One hundred and eighty two rushing and the Bills just
dog walked the Jets.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yeah, we gave up one hundred and fifty four yards total, dude.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Like, we're in trouble, man, what do you think are listen?
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
We can't stop the run. We can't get consistent pressure
on the quarterback. You got dude, what what is it?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
What's his name? Uh? Damn?
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Darnald hit us for almost three hundred No hit Palker
hit us for one hundred and five rushing. Dude, he
was almost well, he was over. He was over eight
yards of rush.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Our offensive line is bad, dude. We can't get a
running game going. Jalen Warren is having to break a
tackle in the backfield twenty five percent of the time, dude,
if not more before he gets out the backfield.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Jalen Warren was the only bright spot I would say
out there, dude, we can't we can't protect. He was
our leading catcher out there. He was our leading pass catcher.
We can't have our leading car. And then then the
receiver started dropping passes, dude, like, I.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Don't it was, it didn't look I was a.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Little distruck anyway. And then you got the you got
the turnover like right there in the end zone. That
didn't help us at all. And then on top of that,
like when it came down to it, we lost the
turnover techer over racial because the special teams just Johnson
just had a brain fart. I don't know what happened there.
I am, dude, I'm up at I'm bumping the top,
you know, I'm in.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
I'm in, I'm in the suite over there.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
And as soon as he touched the ball, dude, the
first thing I did, and he didn't turn and go
to it, I'm yelling like he can hear me the.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Ball know what I'm screaming and yelling like you hear me.
I'm like, yo, I'm like, I'm invested in this a
little too deep right now.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
I'm yelling from like, you know, like the four hundred
right there, you know where you underneath the.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
I know exactly what I'm yelling from the four hundred
like he could hear me. You know what I'm saying, like, dude,
we are we are in trouble.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Dude, that did it just wasn't like That's what I'm saying,
no debo. It just that that those things Danny Smith
we talked about Danny Smith Special Teams. Is he teaches that.
That's what you got, Like, that's something I don't think
that Danny's Danny Smith does not not teach that stuff.
He doesn't teach because I used to be the returner
in that meeting room. He would teach us about the
keeping your foot out of bounds when you when you're
(10:15):
trying to get it.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Grab the ball, put one foot in, one foot out,
and now all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
So just the little the little nuances that you wouldn't
really know. He would definitely teach us all of that stuff.
So just that going into the game, that's that's a
brain fart. But that's something that's going to put you
behind the eight ball. That's not that's seven points. You
know what I'm saying that playing the games like this,
when the offense isn't going like that, we're not getting
that that that.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Put us down by ten right then and there like brother,
and then it's not in time, Like.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
How do you not even attempt Like the whole stadium
is yelling get the ball?
Speaker 3 (10:47):
That that for sure, for sure, I mean he he
he he wild out right there, that's not that's that.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
There's no excuses for that. Bro.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
We're professionals. You're the kickoff return of the starting and
you start them. You're back there, you know what I'm saying,
everything about it, And then people I say this too, though,
like even with the run, the run, the run defense
is looking kind of crazy.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
I think it's got it gotta be gaps, it got
to be you know.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
What I'm saying, because he's sometimes listen, getting to the
second level with without getting touched, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
So that's just you don't listen. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
I know we're bad, like we need we need to
we need to get better. But then I'm trying to
look at it and I'm like, is this a scheme thing?
Like are we just got to a point to where
we're trying to cover everything and we're covering nothing?
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Now, like what is going on?
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I would say some of the things though, I would
see simple mental errors.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
You know.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Coach t how he thrives on fact, don't get beat
to the flat. Don't get beat to the flat. We
were seeing when he's doing boots, just people running but
naked open to the flat.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
For like catching it runs for thirty forty yards, I'm like,
that's just discipline, you know what I'm saying, that's somebody's assignment.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
That where's your man? Like that needs to be your man.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Whenever running we're deep overs and I'm seeing jailen them
dudes coming across or the dig routes. You know what
I'm saying, Like there's there's gaps in some of these
are zone coveragees, you know what I'm saying, Some of
these are mans. But we got to be able to
understand who has who. There's a reason we're not covering everything,
like they're gonna be able to do catching tackles. But
people running got free through your secondary makes no sense,
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Someone should be around there. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
I think the big thing with the zone is, yeah,
that's your zone. But when you get a guy that
sits down in your zone, you want to kind of
try and relate to him, you know what I mean? No, no, no,
a thousand percent if somebody we're not even relating, like
he's just going there, scooting down, sitting there and we're
making like we didn't even see or or field this dude,
like you gotta you gotta have.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Something we're saying. We're saying the same thing. When someone
gets into your zone, they were matching. We're matching, we're
matching because you know these fire zones its zone.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
Then man, once he gets once he's in.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Your zone, that you got the zone, you go, you
go until you get out of your zone and get
back like you're passing basically to the next zone.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Like we're just sitting there like, oh, mazone.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Is right here in front of this hash and yeah,
I see him sitting in between the hashes, but or
I don't feeling whatever that may be.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
And I'm not going to.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Try and at least scoop that way to try and
you know, try and relate to him. I don't, Yeah,
I don't.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Like I said, we're bad right now on both sides
of the of the line, on defense and offense. And
when you don't have success there, you cannot have success
on the football field. And that's where we're at. You
got to control a lot of scorch I don't. They
(13:38):
average still is only average five yards of play? Like
how do how do you average only five yards of
playing and you're you're passing the rock like, I don't.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
I think you know what it was.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
I got too excited, but I know you got real hype.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
It was a lot of we we we we we yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know the Stellers. I've been doing a lot of
the Stellers right now, you know what I'm saying, Like
a lot of.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Separated now you back vested.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Yeah, Like you know, the most successful runs that they ore,
passes that they had was the short stuff, you know,
giving it to the running back.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
He just you know, he just dartened up out of there.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Yeah. It was Jalen warren Man getting getting yat, getting
y'alls after the catch, jumping over people, hurtling folks, giving
everything he had. But at the same time, like we
need some more, DK, we need some more to figure
out a way to get Calvin Austin.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
On the ball. He don't normally do that, you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
So it was it was a it's a it's a combination,
but The big thing is we got to get settled
up front on both sides of the ball so that
you can do what it is football is made to do.
Pass the ball, run the ball, stop the pass, stop
the run. Yeah, because we can't do either one of those,
it's gonna be troubled.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
It's gonna be trouble. Bro.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
We can't have Walker he was running through the defense
when we're trying to get more possessions. We gotta be
able to stop the run. And we can't keep having
just big plays.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Was it eight eight yards of toe eight one a toe?
Speaker 1 (15:12):
It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Had thirteen carries do That's what I'm saying, Like it's
guaranteed first downs.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
Man, get up, get to do the ball two times.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Yeah, anyway, man, listen, I really I'm going on.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Let's go on to the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Man, yeah, man over the game was crazy shoot out
in the fourth quarter, Man Dak pers Scott in the
fourth quarter versus the Giants, he was fifteen or twenty
one hundred and eighty seven yards, one touchdown, one sixteen Passerwady.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
That's nothing new to me. Back like that.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
I think that's the thing he do in the fourth
quarter and most of the time, it was because they
was down and you're playing a little lighter defense. But
I don't, you know, I don't know if that was
the case. Here is the Giants, So it's kind to be,
you know, expected a little bit, you know, but I
will say this, would it being the Giants and them
(16:11):
having the defense that they have. I don't know if
the Cowboys are better than what we thought they were
right now.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
You know they won the game, that's good.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
But you let the Giants put thirty seven on you, brother,
five hundred and six yards, four hundred and five passing
and no real pressure on rush. You are missing Micah
Parsons right now because you look at it.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
A week ago, Washington.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Held them to only two hundred and thirty one yards.
They couldn't even piss al drop. Now you come in
here and you throw up five. You gotta shoot out
with them, So you got to play Washington. I don't
know if that's going to fair world for you, considering
you both played the same opponent and it's two totally
(17:04):
different outcomes. H So, I don't think they don't. I
don't think they I think I reacted the first week.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
You know, they ain't really you saying they ain't really
prove too much right here.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
No, I think they actually put me back into the
mindset of the cowboys.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
That they have been in work.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Actually it's a little worse now because five hundred and
six yards to the Giants, m four hundred and five cooking.
I mean to the uh yeah, to the Giants, four
hundred and five cooking, Russell cooking, bro.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
That's what I'm trying.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
Russell, I thought they won that game when he threw
that bomb.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
He did.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
They had more yards, They had more yards, they would
they they look good.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
So the good thing is just speak for Russell.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
They ended.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
He bought himself some time because even though they lost
this game, Russell was cooking, Russell was balling. Russell wasn't
the reason why they lost this game. The defense needed
to play a little bit better and make some more stops.
Like they scored that touchdown with twenty five seconds left.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
I'm like, Oh, Russell just.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Won this game. Came back like the offense was playing amazing.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
The defense blew it, letting them get down and make
that field goal with twenty five seconds left. You need
to play somehow they get into prevent defense.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
But they're just letting that. That's what we always talk about.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
A little bit more pressure, don't give him twenty five
yards or just free chill, stand up said soon he
turned around right on him, Like that's just pitch and catch.
You gotta be on them and you're not playing to
when you're playing not to lose, and that's how you
lose the game.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
So that's just that's my thing there. But Russell played
really really good.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Russell played good enough to win, and that's that's just
a good step for the Giants. But with all that
being said, I don't think they're that good of a
team anyway. And for them and for the Cowboys to
get out with a win, that's bravo, bravo. I think
you're a better team. You should have got out there
with a win. There's no reason that I don't think
they should be on the field with you guys like that.
But it was somehow y'all won that game.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
So I don't. I'm not.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
It doesn't make me feel too much better about.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Still had the kick a sixty four yard field goal,
and the kicker is amazing.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
He's not tripping, he's not tripping as soon as he
gets to the fifty.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
They feel like they got a field goal. You know
what I'm saying. The Cowboys kicker is unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Oh, no question, dude.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
He got two of the I think he got two
of the four longest kicks in NFL history. He's making
six sixty four yards or longer. Yeah, yeah, for sure,
he's doing the thing. He already already, uh Pro Bowl already,
Oh for sure, just right there.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Off that long as long as he don't long as
he don't do nothing.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
Crazy, yeah him, and bank roll him and bank roll bars.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
But then like like you know, on the other side,
like the Giants, they really didn't help themself. You know,
the first drive, you got to tackle James Hudson, who
committed four penalties on the one drive. He had unnecessary roughness,
he had a false start, another unnecessary roughness, and another
false start.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
So they benched.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
So says Hudson was bent the following drive and got
into it on the sideline with the ball. Is that
how you say that? Yeah, Coach d Bo. Dave Bo, Yeah,
Coach Dabo. Last week, mckadn Kyle meet neighbors, Neighbors, Neighbors,
neighbors Number one, no big that bigger elite. Neighbors has
(20:41):
issues with the same.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
With the same day. That's da Bo, that's dat man.
You just get coach Dbo. Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
All right, So now this week it's Husting's uh, it's
Hustling acting up on the sideline.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
And you had Elik last week. You think he's uh,
he got an issue over there.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
You think he can lead this team or they just
ain't got no confidence any I.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
Think he can lead the team. I think it's two
separate situations.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
I think Neighbors was going at coach Davo because he
wanted the ball. He's trying to just get the offense going.
He just don't feel like, you know what I'm saying,
he was getting involved enough. Hudson's wiling Husson. You committed
four fouls on one.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Drive, back to back to back to back. You're the problem.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
I don't know what Davo is doing that you're coming
all these fouls. You know what I'm saying, has nothing
to do with him. That's you being not not being professional,
not being ready, false, starting unncessarily roughence getting your feelings
like doing stuff after the play, causing penalty yards.
Speaker 2 (21:53):
You're getting your pies before and after you're tripping penal
going to play or whatever.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
That that's going to happen, and then you're doing roughness
after play. You know what I'm saying, Like you're losing yourself.
So I think that there's two different, separate things that
coach they both was getting after with neighbors and him.
It's just really he's trying to get better. He's trying
to get the ball. Coach with something like, I'm trying
to figure something out. Great player, I want to get
the ball. I want to do better.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Hudson.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
I think he's tripping on the sideline.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
I don't know what the situation was, but you are
unnecessary rough ast. You have two of those piles and
you have two false start files.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
What do you do? That's what I want to know.
Those are personal files. Right? Do you get fined for those?
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
I think it might depend on the unnecessary roughness.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
If you get a quarterback it's unnecessary roughness, you get fined.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
For that, Yeah, yep, I mean yeah, yep.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Probably don't.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Do you get fined for every every hit you get
on the quarterback that's unnecessarily not not necessarily it depends
if they thought it was a correct call or not.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
Okay, Okay, Sometimes they make.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
A call and they'll look at it later on and
you won't get a you know, you won't get a
fine for it. So depending on what they see and
they actually do do that, so it's not automatic, you know.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
So yeah, I don't know if he got fined for
them or what kind of lets say, references did he have.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
But he was wild.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
I don't know why he was over there arguing, I see,
you got your Cleveland, your Cleveland stuff on. You got,
you got, you got, you got some some good stuff
to say about Cleveland, because I mean, the Ravens just beat.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
These boys forty one to seventeen.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
You know, Kyle van Noy, he said all they had
to do was go to go to dinner as a team.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Man, get it together.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
Man, make sure they don't have no more collapses like
they did in the last last last week or the
fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Man, it worked. The Ravens now what thirteen.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
To two following losses since twenty twenty twenty twenty two. Yeah,
it was ten three, A halftime game was going good.
I thought you was probably like pounding your chest, were
about to do this.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
Huh No, the defense man, they was playing really really well.
It was playing really well, keeping the game close. Flacco
was just doing There was a lot of checkdowns at
the beginning of the game. Almost then when when it
was getting tight through almost through the pick six, he
had to strip sack fumble. So, I mean, Flaco wasn't
doing too well this game, and I think the defense
(24:24):
was trying to keep us into the game as long
as they could. We started doing just eras uh Delpit,
shout out Delpit. He prevented two touchdowns. He balled out.
He did his part. I mean I had I had
eyes on him, just watching him to see how good
he played, very very very good to see him ball out.
But I don't think our offense did too well. Like
(24:45):
there was just too many checkdowns. We didn't take really
any chances down the field, and then when we did,
we threw picks and it just didn't look like our
offense had too much going at all. The defense was
trying to keep us in the game, but at the
end of the day, once that second half came, it
just was too much for us.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Oh, no question, Like like like Miles Garrett said, I
guess after the game, he said, I mean, this shit
is embarrassing. We got to do better on defense. We
got to do better as a team. I mean, I
think that's cool that you know, uh he said that,
But you know it's uh, it's it's fought everywhere, and
(25:22):
like you said, at the end of it, the second half,
they gave up a lot of points, I guess, so yeah,
you know, they got to do their part too to
bomb the.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
D hop Man.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
Look, it's it's it's like we said earlier debo, it's
three phases. You got offense, you got defense, and you
got special teams. They gave up a big old pump
return or kick return, and at the same time they
gave up a pump block that basically was a touchdown.
So our special teams wasn't playing well at all. The
defense was doing. They were fighting at the first half,
trying to keep it reasonable, but then like you.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Gotta get get the short fields.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
And then at the same day, bombed the d hop
hop had a great play Lamar Jackson scrambling using his
feet and then they still have Derek Henry running the ball.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
So defense was fighting.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
But you know, you can only do if you just
sit back, and you were to just look at the numbers,
not not look at the game, you would be like,
how did this game end up forty one to seventeen?
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Yeah, because they were putting just short fields, like you said,
punk blocks, easy situations where like nobody's helping each other out,
you know what I'm saying. So special teams wasn't helping
out situations. Defense was fighting offense wasn't really putting defense
in good spots. So it just was a whole overall.
The team just got to do better. Man, it didn't.
It didn't look too good.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Do you do you think it should be a quarterback change?
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Kevin Stefanski said after the game that he won't consider
change at quarterback in week in week three, I think
he's just.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Trying to I mean, I think he's trying to build
us up some more time. But I'm not gonna lie
when Dylan came in there at the end, even if
it's gonna be Dylan, I like your door, somebody with
some spunk that's gonna give us some spark.
Speaker 4 (26:54):
I love Floyd Flacco, I know, but we know he's
gonna give us.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
He's gonna check it down.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
He's gonna try to be consistent. He's gonna be a
veteran that's going to try to steer the ship. We
know he's gonna do for us. When we had these
younger guys in there, he's faster, he's more athletic, he's
mobile the past. When he's in there, he's throw he's
throwing touchdown passes. He doesn't really throw to me interceptions.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
And he's young. He looks like he's ready.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
So if the Browns want to give some more, if
you want to have some more chances to put a
spark in your offense, the younger dudes are ready.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
They're sitting there. It looks like Flaka at the.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
End of the day when he keeps doing these check
down to me, I'm like, the one reason why I
do like them, because if you're gonna you can throw
a dec you can throw a good fly ball, you
can throw a good fit, you can throw a good
deep post, a good overball.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
If you're not going to throw them, then I put
the other dudes in there.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
You know what I'm saying. Anybody can kind of check
the ball down. We need we need more points, we
need something.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Once you put one of the other guys in there,
you add into a component of them being able to run,
and now you can't just you know, turn your back
and lock up everybody, or just go ahead and do
whatever it is you want to do it while you're rushing,
you know.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Come inside outside. However it is.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
That you want to rush him, you got to take
into account now, like, oh, hold up, this quarterback can run,
and he could, he could get out the pocket on me.
So now you've got to rush in your lanes correctly
instead of taking those liberties that you you you're gonna
take with h You're not worried about him, you know,
getting out of the pocket taking off on you. You know,
the worst thing he's gonna do is get out the
pocket and maybe get a couple of yards if he
(28:16):
if he does that, and he's gonna get down. I
mean he's uh, I think he a little older than me.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Yeah, y'all, y'all pick up. You know, y'all Browns.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
You know, they're they're basically get you know, anything that
they they think can help him and then just rationalize
everything else out. You know, I don't know how y'all
work over there, what like, what's the components that'd be like,
all right, I'm gonna put this guy here and.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
We're gonna do this.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Like just go ahead and say, you know what we're
rebuilding and start with one of your young guys. And
because I don't, I don't think it's gonna get it
can't get much worse.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Right, I mean, right now, right now, when when I
saw that offense the other day when I was watching Flac, oh,
just just throw the ball. You know what I'm saying,
give it a chance. You know what I'm saying, We
know what it is. I mean, we we need, we
need something different. I think behind the quarterback and uh
that that game just wasn't too he just didn't do
too much for me. And I like like, oh, but
(29:20):
I'm just saying that form a fans perspective, if you
want to be able to get a spark going on
the offense, Uh, that just it just looks real vanilla.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
I mean, it wasn't that bad until, like you said,
they got into the second half. It was you know,
it was close up until then.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
We didn't get no but offense, we we didn't score
any we didn't know.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
That's you know what I'm saying we did defense played good,
was fighting as long as they could both weeks.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Though, when I'm not.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
Mad at the defense at all, you didn't.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
You're gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
You're gonna fight and just make sure you try to
keep the yards down. But if you get put in
short field positions and you're continuing to be on the
field all the time, you know what I'm saying, that
that makes it's a tough.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Yeah, the short field makes it makes it real, real
tough because now you've got to go out there and
try and put the fire out and you know, worst
case scenario in some of those situations, the best you're
gonna be able to do is three, you know, unless
they go and shank a field goal or something. So yeah,
I'm not I'm not too uh, I'm not too hype
(30:24):
on the Browns.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
I want them to keep fla going there as long
as they can, especially when they come play us, Like
keep him in there when they come play, Like make
sure you're putting back in.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
There and the recond they're gonna matter when we come
play all you already know what it is that don't matter.
They're gonna try to fenagle.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Something they're gonna try to fenagle something. Man. They did
it in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
Oh man, let's go over here with to the Bengals. Man,
the Bengals and the Jaguars. Dude, Bengals beat them thirty
one to twenty seven. But Joe Burrow is dealing with
turf toe that may require surgery. He suspected to be
sidelined for approximately three months. Dude, that's a minute. Do
(31:09):
you think they can win with Jake Browne well with
him missing that much time.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
I don't know too much about their backup quarterback, but
I'm just I'm just sad for Joe Burrow now twenty three.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
I think he went four and three and seven starts
in twenty three.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Okay, Okay, I'm just sad about Joe Burrow now though, man,
because he's gonna be out for a minute.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
And this is just becoming a thing. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
He missed a lot of games twenty twenty, twenty twenty three,
now twenty twenty five. He say he's missing up to
three months. I could be you know what I'm saying,
twelve games. I'm just hoping not all of these injuries.
Don't keep adding up, you know what I'm saying, building up,
making sure that because it just seemed like a I
don't want it to be a pattern. I hope Joe
Burrow stays healthy, but I just want him to you
know what I'm saying, watch yourself. But I don't think
(31:55):
this is a good good thing for the Bengals at all.
Joe Burrow's one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
He's one of my top five. He doesn't he makes
all right, he does all for me.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
I don't think they have a shot with the other guy.
The defense is not playing that well right now. They
have times or series that they do well, and then
when it comes down to the whole the whole game,
it's it's not uh, it's not always as consistent as
it needs to be.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
I just don't.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
I don't like it without having Burrow in there to
go ahead and throw points up.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
You know what I'm saying. I don't like it at
all without Joe Borrow.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
The Bengals Jaguars defense, you know, I don't think they're uh,
one of the defenses that it would be difficult to
you know, score thirty one on.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
So yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Don't think that the Jaguars not not doing too much
this year either, so them doing that.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
On it, they got Travis going both way each other
or what they do. I mean, I think this this
in this game.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
That first game, he think he played like six naps
on defense and probably like thirty five on offense. And
I think this one he might have played. I think
I know he played more. So I know he had
a pass breakup. I saw a great pass breakup, had
about two tackles, so he looked, he looked better. He's
like he's getting more comfortable. I want him to. I
don't know exactly how they're doing it. I think that
(33:21):
he could be. I think he could do more. I
think he could do more plays. I think I think
he wants to. I think they would want to. If
it was up to me, I would have him start
at cornerback. Mainly, I think they want to have him
at receiver because you know they need they need another receiver.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
That think his.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Offensive ability is going to be able to score points?
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Why corner like he I think he's going to.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
I think he'll get more at at at at the receiver.
You take him out at receiver, like who else they
go throw to? And then you know the adjustments he
can make to get to the ball is unreal. No,
for sure, you get you're giving you.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Know, you give.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
What's his name opportunities to not opportunities. But if he
makes Aaron.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Throw, Yeah, Trevor, you give Trevor, you know Lee way
when he you know, makes a throw that's not exactly
where it should be and he can you know he
can adjust to it and get to it. I don't,
I don't.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
I don't see him being able to be so much
better on the defensive side that I would take him
off of the offensive side. I would, I would do
what they're doing, but I think I would be more.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Situational with it.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
I don't know, so you would have him, I mean
either way, I would have him played. I love him
on the offense side of the ball. I love him
on the defense side of the ball. I think they
need to give him more. I think he's ready for
more snaps.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Just what if you think, Okay, I'll see what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
You know what I'm saying, give me more and hav
him going almost like he was going in college.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
I mean, get kind of kind of kind of I gause.
I think on the on the offense side of the ball.
At receiver, there's a lot of plays where receivers don't
play one hundred percent of the snaps period.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
No, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
They rotated, So it's a way that even if you're
the number one receiver, you guys could play eighty percent
of the snaps, you know what I'm saying. So if
Travis Hunter is the number two receiver on the team,
he could play fit sixty percent of the snaps. There's
not all formations, not all the stuff where if there's
two wives, sometimes he'll be in, sometimes he'll be out.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
But also if you take him out and you only
got him in.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
There or you know, say like you said sixty percent,
when you could have him eighty percent or eighty five percent,
that takes away the defense having to worry about him
and have that threat in there, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
So I just think just getting them because I think
Travis hunters. It's not that I want to. I think
he's ready. I think that him being different than any
like a lot of.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
The other players.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
From as far as we saw him do it on
the defense side of the ball, we saw him do
it on the office side of the ball in college.
But I think just his work ethic, what he does
off the football field, how football is really his thing.
He don't drink, he don't smoke, he's not out doing
nothing else. He's trying to be in the facility and
be the best player that he could be. So I
think film wise, he's one of the dudes that is
(36:13):
different that I think he's ready for more. He can
take more on and he takes care of his body
like I think, starting earlier than other players would have,
you know what I'm saying. So I think with all
of that being said, giving him a little bit more,
like giving him a little bit more exposure out there
on the field isn't going to isn't going to hurt.
I think we'll do nothing but help his help him,
help his progression and help him.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I understand where you're at.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
Yeah, he don't do nothing but football and work out.
You know, he the biggest thing. You gotta have it.
You gotta have the endurance in the win to be
able to go both ways. You know, that's a that's
a big thing.
Speaker 4 (36:48):
And I'm not mad at it because people at the
same time, but when we played.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Like when I was a rookie in Cleveland, we said,
defensive snaps is out there a lot in all special
teams our averaging like ninety snaps a game, you know
what I'm saying. So it's not that if he's out
there playing, he's right now, he's playing forty three on
defense or forty thirty six on defense and six on offense.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
That's forty four snaps in the game.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
How do you playing ninety snaps a game? Bro, Bro?
Speaker 4 (37:14):
I mean that's that's when that's you're You're on the.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Field a lot. You're on the field a lot.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
Oh, and then I'm playing all off the team. Yeah,
and I'm playing.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Off I was right, Yeah, I was doing that. I
was starting and playing all all four phases.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
But I will use a record like kicking off the field,
I'm doing kickoff, I'm doing kickoff return, I'm doing punt,
I'm doing punt return, you know what I'm saying. And
then I'm doing defense. Every playing we out there for
a lot of defense. You will play sixty five seventy snaps,
you know what I'm saying, and then twenty twenty five
thirty special team jones.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
You out there Oh, dude, I didn't even think about that.
I was playing like that. That's wold. You know what
I'm saying. You don't really call him.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
But if you put up your whole all the snaps
really out there playing, you can get some snap.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
You get up there in the nineties.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Oh yeah, yeah, I forgot all about the four you
do for a quarter. That's easy. That's sixteen. That's your sixty.
You probably go do more. You could get up there, dude.
Speaker 1 (38:10):
It's easy. But we've got a problem over here in
Miami though. Man, both show up, dude.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
The Dolphins are owing two after a thirty three to
twenty seven loss to the Patriots. You lost to the Patriots, dude, Like.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
They allowed it? Whoa dude. Listen.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
They allowed their opponents on the first ten drives of
this season to score. The first team drives, everybody scored,
so Indy scored the whole game, and then the first
three drives of the New England game, New England scored.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
I think they've only stopped three times. They've only stopped
the offense three times. I think so far this year.
I could be wrong. Somebody looked that up. Check that
out for me. Dude, like you think it's already hopeless
in Miami, DoD, I think it's over.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
I mean, hopeless is a big word. But like we got,
it's not looking good. They're on a downhill spiral. I'll
tell you that they're not going this way, They're going
that way.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Listen.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
I would say that. Did you hear what the coach
said in this interview?
Speaker 1 (39:21):
What he said? What did he say? He said?
Speaker 2 (39:24):
He basically they're asking him something about winning, and he
basically said, well, you gotta win to win.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
I swear to give me that quote. I need that
quote so bad.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Like I'm looking at him and I'm like, yo, he
looked like he miamied out if you know what.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
I mean, Like, what is dude? It was?
Speaker 2 (39:48):
It was no, it was nothing in his eyes that
said he was upset. It was just, uh, it give
me that. Somebody gotta give me that clip so you
could hear it. I'm like, what did he just say?
Speaker 1 (40:05):
It was like to win?
Speaker 2 (40:06):
You don't know what to say, so, yeah, we got it,
Well you do. I'm trying to tell you it's like
we gotta win to win. I'm trying to tell.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
You, yeah, man, that's that. That doesn't sound too motivating. No,
not motivating at all. Like my coach can't even give
me something, you know, on the.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Just something to give us some hope, Like you gotta
win to win, I don't.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
I mean they gotta not getting to stop in the
first ten drives of the season.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Hold up, I got the quote, brother, I got the quote.
Hold up, I'm gonna give you to you right now.
It said McDaniel said, to win games, you have to
win games, not lose the game.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
You won't dope. Something wrong with him, something wrong with
the people, something wrong with him.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
Hey, you just said to win the game, you have
to win the game, not lose the game. Who the
fiddle faddle don't know that.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
Something going on over there? Dog is stink.
Speaker 2 (41:19):
I'm trying to tell you the stink bad dude. It
smelled like a bag of chopped up dunk. I'm telling
you it's bad. What I told you that I played for.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
I played for your man, and he he was all
he was a rob receiver coach in Cleveland. I said,
he's a very brilliant, brilliant man. He's a brilliant, brilliant mind.
But I don't know if he should be a head coach,
because that's not a head coach answer.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
We gotta win the game. That is not an answer
for anybody.
Speaker 4 (41:47):
I know.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
I think you know he's trying to I'm just here
to you, you might as well just win. Markin Johnson,
I don't get I'm just here, so I don't get.
Speaker 3 (41:54):
Fine, he's just you know, but you know, like Bill
Belichick won't even answer questions. He's being a smart as
he knows what he's saying. He knows you got to
win the game.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Hey lose the game.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Belichick be answering questions but not really answer. He don't
even talk like that. He'll be mumbling and all that.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
I know.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
That's that's his personality to do the same thing a
bet Belichick, No, you gotta win the game.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
That don't even make sense. At least Belichick makes sense
to win.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
To win the game, you have to win the game,
not lose the game. Do you understand that? No, I'm
just go and tell.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
My he gotta be saying that because he's just annoyed
with the question.
Speaker 1 (42:34):
To win the game. You got to win the game, son,
not lose the game.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
To all those kids out there, to everybody that's looking
for the answer.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
I got the answer from mc daniels. You want to
win the game. To win the game, you have to
win the game. I lose. It was like an epiphany
to me. Boom, Oh my god, he's right. I don't
want none of what he's on. That was nothing. I
(43:13):
don't want nothing away. He's draw hilarious.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
Okay, listen, man, all right, so we will roll over
here to the Bears.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
All right.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
The Bears and first year head coach Ben Johnson or
zero and two now Caleb's underwhelming against him, fifty two
to twenty one, lost to the Lions. Hey see, the
Lions is who I thought they were. See they went
on out there, So Green Bay is really that because
(43:47):
what they did to the Lions, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
And then the Lions went over here and put them
paws on them.
Speaker 4 (43:54):
You know what I'm saying, Yes, because.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
My child, they probably had people like wi girlfriends in this.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Sad like get your hands on my baby, your hand
my baby was like that, Like that's that's out of control.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
I'm telling you. We talked about we talked about this.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
We talked about you can't you can't you can't put
no you can't put no fifty piece on me.
Speaker 1 (44:14):
Man.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
They went and they had a point to prove. We
talked about the lines. We said, what they're gonna is
what they're gonna do. We're gonna see what happens when
the Bears play the lines. And I'm like, I believe
in the Lions bore than I believe in the Bears.
Just the organization of what they got going on, and
they went to prove a point. They dog stumpthing boys
and wasn't trying to know that. That's why I like
(44:36):
the lines, because like this is professional football. You know
what I'm saying, Like, no disrespect, but you gotta stop it.
You gotta you gotta stop question keep us out the
end zone, you know what I'm saying. So that's why
I rock with how the Lions went about this, like
trying to prove a point.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
People talking crazy about their offense.
Speaker 3 (44:51):
They like this, Okay, we're gonna get it pop and
we're gonna get it back rocking, running back Gibbs. We
wanna get it to We're gonna get it rocking. So
they did a great job and at the end of
the day, you gotta stop himself. I'm not mad at
any team that's trying to get theirself going. When you're
coming off the loss, coming off not playing well, coming
off not feeling good, you're gonna go do what you
gotta do, because you know, if it was the other
on the other foot, they would try to.
Speaker 4 (45:13):
Dog stump you. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
So, yeah, they got a places you can for sure,
for sure, and you know, they got Caleb some help,
and you know in this offseason they brought in a
couple of new pieces, and you know, it just I
don't I don't know if it if it's really helping.
I mean, did you did you see the Bears looking
this bad with them actually adding something to helping.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
I didn't think they was gonna look this bad. But
I mean, I still, like you said, it's for me.
For me, it's a bigger sign of it's nothing. I
don't know what Caleb can do. I think it's the top,
it's the it's the kitchen. Whoever's bringing and putting the
pieces and stuff together, it's not working. And I don't
know if it's the play calling now because it's just
it's happening to the too many quarterbacks I don't think that.
(45:55):
I think if he would have Leaven gone a different situation,
he may look like a better quarterback.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
I don't know what the Bears got going on over there.
He doesn't look like anything's going on.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
Time got a backup quarterback over there.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
Now, it's not who Tyson his name is Tyson Beigent.
He's a he's a undrafted He's he's an undrafted guy.
I think he went Bears. Yeah, yeah, dude, I'm like,
he's undrafted. I think they just signed him to like
a ten million dollar contract like three weeks ago. Bro,
(46:29):
Like they're serious. I'm trying to tell you, like he
went in. I want to say it was the maybe
the last two series of the game. Okay, Like obviously
to get some you know, get some snaps in and
you're talking, you know, like I said, undrafted backup, they
(46:50):
just got to do a ten million dollar contract three
weeks ago. Oh and his daddy, dude is Travis, like
the arm wrestling champion dude.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
Oh yeah, do you think do you think they just
doing that to give him some snaps. They're not about
to they're not about to start him.
Speaker 1 (47:07):
I just gave him. I just gave him ten million
three weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
Not to not to go ahead and maybe say, hey,
maybe we uh you know, maybe we don't messed up.
Speaker 1 (47:18):
Maybe we need to go ahead and see if we
can't that. I'm not in him. You know, at what
point do you say, I mean, he don't.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
He don't consistently do what he needs to do, Like
the first quarter seems to be the only time he
could do something.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (47:38):
And yeah, if I was Caleb, I would hope they
try something stupid like that and let me get up
out of there and go somewhere else, like if they're
thinking crazy like that, like Kayla's the problem.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
I think the Bears are really lost their minds. That's
just my thing. You you think the Bears are the problem.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
You don't think he has any no downside.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
I think that he had some downside. I think that
he could do better.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
But I think that he's the He's not the reason
why they're losing games. I don't think that he's been
in his position where they're they're not helping him with
the play calling, they're not helping them as much with
the run game, Like with the line, he's scrambling. I
just don't think with all other quarterback Justin Fields is
looking better like then then I think it's the coaches.
I think that he is. I don't think he's being
(48:21):
coached that well over there. That's just my personal opinion.
I feel like he goes to a different team, he
would do better.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
I don't know, man, I don't know if he would,
if he would do better, because I ain't I ain't
seen him do better. That's I mean. I'm saying, you
know what I'm doing. I'm doing like you know, I'm
doing like my guy over there, Dames. You know, I
don't know if he would do better. I ain't seen
him do better. I ain't seen him do better. So
I don't know if he could do better. But how
you do better? You got to do better?
Speaker 1 (48:48):
Right that? Hey, boom, you got that? How you do better?
Speaker 2 (48:53):
You gotta do better, got to do better? Yo, Hey,
we need that one right there.
Speaker 1 (49:00):
You got to you gotta do better. Yes, we'll see,
we'll see that. Bright Jared golf dude.
Speaker 2 (49:10):
He had three and thirty four yards, five tudies, five tuddies.
Speaker 1 (49:17):
Defens wasn't helping me then?
Speaker 3 (49:18):
Now, No, that's that's That's That's what I'm trying to
tell you. How many like Caleb. He gonna do as
only much as he can. But he can't stop five
tuddies getting thrown in the air. He can't stop them
not getting after golf, them not stopping to run. You
know what I'm saying. I mean, it's a lot going.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
On over there.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
We could try and get some points over there, get
some more points. We get some more points. How concerned
are you with Chicago? How concerned should they be over there?
It should be very concerned.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
That should be very cause there's not too many positives
going on over there right now.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
There should be some uh, some furniture movements. Some people
should be getting new addresses.
Speaker 1 (49:54):
One percent. That's the only way, that's the only way. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (50:00):
I never really been That's the whole thing. I don't
want to.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
Be a hater, but I just never really been a Brown,
a Bear, a Bears fan. And they just not They
just don't prove to me to be like ready to
ready to make something shape. Like just the people with Trubisky,
with Justin Fields, with all these quarterbacks have still been
going there and not Rocket. I can understand. I played
for the Cleveland Browns. So's not to say this organization wise.
(50:26):
You know, I'm srying get moving.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
It could be it could get ugly, right right? Are
you confident in the Bears? Do you like them? Do
you like what? No?
Speaker 2 (50:38):
I don't listen, man, I got I got issues with Bears, man, But.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
Listen, you got issue with Caleb too. I got issues
with Caleb too. M hmm okay respectfully.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Like I don't know, man, I just I can't have
my quarterback painting nails. Dude, I just you you you're
too busy floshing your nails in the first quarter.
Speaker 1 (51:07):
You can't do nothing next three. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
Okay. Do you think it's his work ethic? It's dedication
and stuff like he worried about too much other stuff.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
I'm worried about painting my nails in a football game, Bro?
What is that going to do for me on the field.
I can see taping your fingers, I can see I
can see doing all that you're talking about purely aesthetics,
like of your hands.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
Yeah, okay, no, I feel it. I can feel that.
I can feel that.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
I'm lost about I mean, that's my quarterback. Listen, man,
I can't no, I can't, I can't do it. But
the coach they beat the Broncos twenty nine to twenty eight.
That boy, uh, they say Jones about that man, the
(52:03):
coach are two and oh for the first time since
two thousand and nine, course of the first team in
the Super Bowl era to not punting in either of
their first two games.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
Now that that is fire.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
You didn't punt, not one that's impressed. One game you're
telling me, you just you just destroying people. You making sure,
worst case, you get at least three or they could
have went for a fourth and not made it too now,
but I don't think those case Like where do you
(52:40):
see where do you see the coats at? Manhe where
would you put the coats in the in the rankings
over there?
Speaker 1 (52:47):
I ain't gonna lie to you.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
Danny Dimes is in a good situation right now. And
this is what I'm talking about too, Like it's the team,
it's everybody.
Speaker 4 (52:56):
Everybody's playing. Well, hey guess what.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
They got what they got running game?
Speaker 3 (53:01):
They got a running game. They have a great running game.
They're not leaning on Daniel Jones. They're making sure he's
an asset. But at the same time, he's doing exactly
what he's acts to do, you know what I'm saying,
And they're not leaning and that defense is doing good,
running games doing well, and he's consistently getting wins. So
I'm very very happy for Daniel Jones. And this is
the thing what we're saying to the like him Jalen Hurts.
(53:24):
They're doing what they got to do to win. They
have great running games, they have a good defense, and
they're not leaned on to do everything. They don't have
to make every play, like with Patrick Mahomes. You have
a great quarterback here. When you have good running you
need to give him some running.
Speaker 1 (53:37):
Game at the end of the day.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
Just making sure that you have your quarterback trying to
do too much every time, like trying to be Superman.
It doesn't always work, and it's a team sport, so
them being able to do that extra is always going
to help out. But them having to have a great
running game like who we got a Taylor the running
back for the Colts. You know what I'm saying, Just
being able to turn around to hand the ball off
to him takes a lot of weight off you shoulder.
(54:00):
So I think this teams, these they're just doing a
really good job of all all three phases of working together,
and he's doing a great job of his one eleventh.
Speaker 1 (54:09):
For a while, I like to call it.
Speaker 2 (54:10):
Yeah, I tell people that all the time. And the
person I use is Ben. Like when Ben first came in,
Ben didn't have to be the guy he ended up
being like we had we had a run game, you know,
it was it was run, run, and you know, have him,
you know, do a pass and if he if you
couldn't find a receiver they were covered, he you know,
run around extra time. Now defense breaks down, it's spotting,
(54:33):
spot and throw, you know, But like you said, you
got to make them have to put seven eight guys
in the box because they want to stop that run game.
Speaker 1 (54:41):
Now, you give them that play action, and you give your.
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Quarterback opportunity to get easier to reads without having to
sit there and gun and try and read all of
the things that they're doing. And over the time of
the progression each year, each game, each game, each year,
your quarterback is going to naturally get better at doing
it from doing it, but trying to you know, throw
him in there and make them do it. You know,
from from day one. It's it's gonna be difficult yep
(55:06):
thousand and I think they do. It's That's what I'm saying,
is it's team ball and not just leaning because you
don't want to. They can be able to grow. I mean,
if they're going to have growing.
Speaker 3 (55:15):
Pains, he's not going to come in and be just
not making any mistakes. But it makes it so much
easier when you're not asked to just sit back on
first down and shotgun and sling the ball around where
you know, first down, you're not behind the sticks.
Speaker 1 (55:26):
You got a second and four. You know what I'm saying,
That they don't know.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
If you're gonna run or pass it saying it makes
it way easier for a quarterback to convert that than
it is for a second second to ten to a
third and ten.
Speaker 1 (55:38):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
Just being able to keep them ahead of the sticks,
making sure that these are short yardage things where the
defense doesn't know if you're gonna run over pass, keeping
them on their heels helps them out so much.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Yeah, the Falcons and Vikings. See that's why ain't sold
on the Vikings, dude. The Falcons beat the Vikings twenty
two to six, but like twenty two to six, Oh
you you couldn't score no more.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
Than six points? Like, I didn't know what was going
on with that one, Like what did you think of
about car? Like, I don't know, man, it's well, I
know b John killed him. John Robinson killed him.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
He had like almost one hundred and seventy yards from scrimmage.
So he went out there and he did his thing.
Speaker 1 (56:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
If the Vikings are putting too much into the quarterback
and the jj yees and I don't I don't know
if he's like that like this the last two weeks.
(56:52):
I know he's not like that. I mean, he may
have been like that, you know, Michigan or whatever.
Speaker 3 (56:57):
But he had a really good fourth quarter last game.
This game did not look too good. I was hoping
that he.
Speaker 2 (57:02):
But again that what was that a good fourth quarter
by him? Were just horrible defense by them.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
It was a little you know, you got you gotta
make the plays. You gotta make the players that are understand.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
Yeah, I'll give like you said, I'll give him credit.
But they I think they assisted in helping him be able.
Speaker 3 (57:20):
They clip pauled it to him. Okay, I could respect that,
but you got you gotta make it. So yeah, these two,
I mean, this game was I was hoping he was
gonna come off with a better display after that last
coming off that hype fourth quarter. They only put up
six points. I don't think that looked too good. I
know the quarterback coach and my boy Josh mccount are
too excited about it. So I will hope to see
(57:41):
next week. Give him another week, a good week of preparation,
let's see what Let's see what he does next week.
Speaker 1 (57:46):
I'm gon gave him little bit more time.
Speaker 3 (57:47):
Like you said, he's still a Rookie's still young, you
know what I'm saying, Still young in the league. He's
still gonna have a lot of learning curves. But not
gonna throw out him yet because he's still athletic, he's
still mobile, and I've seen I've seen him make some
really good throws.
Speaker 1 (57:59):
So look, let me give Hi a chance, give some time. Yeah,
for sure.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
And now the Jets they got they got. You know,
they got stumped out by the Bills thirty to ten.
And that's why I'm so nervous. Because the Bills went
stumped the Jets out and we me and the Stillers
let them put thirty something on them, like they shut
down fields. Dude, like from the start office couldn't do
(58:24):
nothing like Cook round for one hundred and thirty two
two tugs on.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
Like the.
Speaker 4 (58:33):
I mean, I think you know, they had a week
of film.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
They had a week of film.
Speaker 3 (58:37):
Bills came to study, they came, they came ready to play.
They came studied up on study, up on fields. He
didn't really stand too much of a chance out there.
And at the same time, the Bills, their offense is amazing.
When you have Josh Allen and then being a great quarterback,
it doesn't matter because you can just hand the ball
off the Cook and he was toting you know what
I'm saying. When you have that knowing that you could
(58:58):
just give him the ball, it was kind of obvious.
They kind of spank the Jets up.
Speaker 2 (59:04):
Yeah, for sure, run through forty nine ers beat the Saints, Dude.
Mac Jones came in and relieved for Rock Party. Jones
threw for two hundred and seventy nine yards, a career
high and three touchdowns. Jones after the game said, I
worked a lot on my mindset this off season, the
line did a great job blocking for me. And when
(59:27):
they do that, I know I can sit in there
and let it fly. Shout out, no question, shout out
Mac Jones. Baby, let's get it going to go. I
gotta go ahead to my homeboy though. Kalles Campbell Man
Kaliz Campbell with twenty six seconds left, baby secure the
win for the Cardinals twenty G seven to twenty eight
(59:48):
O G. I think he in year nineteen. Congratulations to
the Cardinals. Into my dude, my guy, Klatest Campbell. He
trains with me in Az.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
Dude Love Love of Bro. Real good dude, real good dude. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Yeah, yeah, huge dude man again. Man, listen, we got
to get up out of here though. Congratulations to our
two ticket winners, UH James and Olivia, who went to
uh Yesterday's Stiller game. We're sorry it didn't come out
like you know you wanted to come out. But here's
Olivia at uh the game yesterday. Check it out, Olivia.
(01:00:28):
He had a little ball out there.
Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
Boom boom boom boom, ball out. You ain't put it
ball out, pull it, ball it out. Yo.
Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
We got some we got we got some super We
got some super chats we do. Yeah, we got Rick
from New York. We got Rick from New York doing
it at five and said, any good Potzi stories kendro Bell, Oh,
I got, I got some good posse stories. Not not
(01:01:06):
too many, uh, not too many kendro Bell stories, but
I got I got some good posse stories. But I
can't tell you because I got to get permission from
you first, because that's how good they are.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
Yeah. Yeah. Shad Dollars donated five and said.
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Ah, Shad Shah Dollars, that's my good man, that's why
good that's what got your good man.
Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
That's my right Now, that's the show, but the show.
Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Gary Age donated five and said, what's with the defense?
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
What's with the defenses? From college to pro body check? What?
Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
From college to pro body checking? Instead of wrapping up?
I've been seeing this soak. So many plays break. I've
been seeing so many plays break to big plays.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
From initial contact. I think it's.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
They're changing the rules so guys are afraid to put
their head in there. So if you put your head
in there and you make contact and the dude make
like he's hurt, you're gonna get fine. So it's a
lot of arm tackling going on. I think that's what
it is, and guys, that's what I think. For me,
I wouldn't I wouldn't care. I would just go and
(01:02:22):
make the tackle. But like facing like even if they're
doing it in high school too, even facing up somebody
is it's not all he say.
Speaker 3 (01:02:30):
Shoulder checking debo hes talking about people just launching into people,
like just trying.
Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
He's saying, he's saying guys aren't hitting and rapping. He's
saying they coming in and they're doing the bump and
not hitting.
Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
The rapping.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
I see it a lot. Yeah, dudes, is just like
trying to shoulder bump knock people.
Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
You know what I'm saying. They're not wrapping up.
Speaker 3 (01:02:46):
Be thinking they because they be thinking they coming up
with a little boom and they're gonna knock them off
their feet and they be bouncing off their little stuff.
You need to wrap up a little man, because a
lot do you be coming in that debo? You know,
I don't know if you was too big of a rapper,
you were exploding the people that like when you hit him,
they kind of coming off their feet. Dudes, be thinking
they're gonna do that and do like, man, come on,
just bounce off of that and keep going. Those dudes
(01:03:06):
gotta come and rap instead of trying to just.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
For show. Is that what is that name? Pronounce it
for me please? Oh Gerald Dean, last name? Yay.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
