Speaker 1 (00:27):
Take a deep breath in through your nose. Hold it now,
release slowly again deep in, helle hold release, repeating internally

(01:02):
to yourself as you connect to my voice. I am deeply,
deeply well.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Wow, I.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Am deeply well. I am deeply.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I'm Debbie Brown and this is the Deeply Well Podcast.
Welcome to today's episode. I'm your host, Debbie Brown. This week,
Oh my god, there's so many things happening in the world,

(01:51):
so I just hope that everyone is staying as grounded
as they possibly can. And I think it is just
so important for us to really seek some solace, you know.
I think this is a very interesting moment in time
where many of us, especially those that are empathic or

(02:15):
have a higher sensitivity to the things going on around them.
For those that have had a complex lived experience, and
you know, in some ways by that I mean you
have experienced and observed both the villains and the heroes
in your life. I think it is so important for
those of us that have the ability to bear witness

(02:36):
to what is really happening in the world right now.
In America, right now, we're witnessing a lot. We have
been for many years. And I also say this to
someone that is not idealistic about the human experience. There
has never been peace on earth, so I don't ever
really have the expectation of that being the ideal. You know,

(02:59):
I think we are here working out a lot of
challenge and a lot of karma in a multitude of ways.
But you know, at least in terms of my lifetime,
the things that I'm witnessing on a global scale, I've
never experienced before. And there's a lot of fear, there's
a lot of confusion. There's a lot of confusion, and

(03:22):
there are a lot of things that are happening that
we can't even fully fathom the outcomes of in so
many countries right now. You know, there are things that
are happening that we won't really know the effect it
has truly on human evolution, on us as a species,
on our mental health until more time passes. And you know,

(03:47):
I don't have a solution to that, but I'll just
say that I'm present to witnessing that, and it's so
important for us to keep going. It is so important
for us to not get bogged down in in other
people and their views of right and wrong. It's really
important right now to stay present, to stay attuned to

(04:10):
your inner truth and to your value system. It's incredibly
important too as much as we are able to stretch
our hearts open and have overall compassion for everyone, but
most especially for ourselves. And it's really important that we
meet our needs right now. And I cannot stress that enough.
And I say this especially to any activists that are

(04:32):
listening to, any therapists that are listening to any caretakers
that are listening to anyone who is listening that occupies
space as a role model, as a leader to anyone.
So that doesn't have to mean big position or you know,
having a large audience ship on social media. But if
you're the leader in your friend group, if you're the

(04:53):
leader and your family, if it's you against the world
right like, there is a deep need for you to
be realistically present with the fact that it is essential
to your wellness and well being to take care of
yourself more than you may typically right now. So I

(05:16):
know sometimes that can be irritating. I know sometimes they're
just flat out isn't the time. And I also know
that depending on what your life has looked like at
a certain point in your growth, it can actually feel
really resentful to have to care for yourself more when
you've always been caring for yourself. There's a lot of

(05:37):
things that we have as barriers to the way we love,
nurture and care ourselves. But I think it's really important
right now to take some time to think about that,
to look at that, to consider that, And there's no
pressure on how you act on it, but it could
be really really meaningful to just notice how much care

(05:58):
or not you take with yourself. You know, if you're
used to being the bigger person, if you're used to
being strong, if you're used to plowing through a lot
of different circumstances and not having a lot of emotion
around it. Especially, it's important you take time to see
how you're really feeling right now, and even if there
are no solutions for it, to be honest about it,

(06:19):
to gut check it and then to find remedies. And
we can't always do everything right. We can't always remove
what is the human experience, what is our karma. We
can't always remove what it is that we are being
asked to see and know and feel. But what we
can do is try to find a way to bring
harmony to our physical bodies. By in even the most microways,

(06:44):
adding in some counterbalance into our lives, and so that
can really look like taking time to take deep breaths
every day, every day, especially when you're overwhelmed, especially when
you're exhausted. It really is easy than you think, and
it's as simple as deep, slow inhales, starting in your belly,

(07:07):
rising up your chest, using your nose, and then full
exhale through purse lips, through your mouth. It's a really

(07:29):
great releasing breath. It helps you, especially if you do
a couple intervals of it, it helps you to really
release the physical biological tension you're feeling in your body.
And when that happens, that also helps to surrender the
spirit and surrender the mind. And I do these breaths
all day, all day, whenever I need to. Sometimes it's

(07:49):
in traffic, sometimes it's because I'm Whitney seeing something horrifying.
But those breaths do help me stay present with my
human experience, and they help honor my human experience. All
of that embodied work, that integration work that we do
on ourselves, the mindfulness work where we invite our bodies

(08:09):
into our mental process, our emotional process, our spiritual process
that always serves as a way to meet your need
and to anchor you into right now. And when you
feel anchored, you're able to make the highest choices that
are available to you. When you're able to make the

(08:30):
highest choices that are available to you, you are able
to bring a sense of safety and stability inside of
your body that cannot be taken from you. So I
want to invite everyone to consider taking some deep breaths.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Un Una Das India.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Wow, I was not expecting to start the episode with that,
but hey, y'all, ten minutes later, that's where I was.
So right now, as I'm recording this episode, just to
create a little context, I'm actually in Cabo. I'm in
the Baja Peninsula. Every July, I take my son for
a little special summer getaway here, and so we're spending

(17:04):
some time together, and it's just so present to me
how fast the time is going, and it's so present
to me just how much I learn and have the
opportunity to see and be with him. It's miraculous. I'm
so grateful for my child, just the most sacred, sacred, sacred,

(17:27):
special special special special, deep, deep, deep, deep experience. And
the year is twenty twenty four, but at some point
in the future, if my son ever finds himself listening
to this episode, quest Mandela, your mother loves you, your
mother enjoys you, your mother honors you, your mother respects you.

(17:50):
I'm so grateful for your life. I'm so grateful for
the opportunity to love you. All Right, y'all, we are
getting into something that is going to feel extra special.

(18:12):
I love astrology. As the og listeners of this show.
No we have exploreded in every season. I've had some
absolutely phenomenal, phenomenal, gifted wise astrologers, expert astrologers on this show.
And today I want to share with you an absolute
fan favorite, my dear, dear friend Darryl Gaines, Guiding Planet

(18:37):
master astrologer, incredible person, vivid storyteller and just extraordinary friend.
So he is a fan favorite. His episode that we
did earlier this season, I mean, Jess continues to rank
rank rank as one of the highest like top three

(18:57):
listened to episodes. I've just had the chance to read
so many dms from those that have connected to that
episode that you know went on to follow his work
and connect with his work and how meaningful it was
for them, And so Darryl is doing me this special
honor of joining me for a very special summer series.

(19:17):
So the next few episodes we're going to be deep
diving with Daryl what he sees in our astrology right now,
the astrology on the planet, the astrology in the US,
and what are some themes you know. One of the
ways he describes astrology, which is always so meaningful for me,
is as a sacred science, and I believe and know
that to be true. I have been studying my chart

(19:40):
my whole life. But I had one of my first
Yoddish Vedic astrology readings when I was about eighteen, and
then I had another one at an incredibly pivotal time
in my life, in my Saturn return. I've gone on
to probably have hundreds. But I really love and live
by my.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
Chart.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
It can be a really beautiful, sacred spiritual experience, and
understanding some of the themes and the archetypes of your
life help give you a little bit more feedback in
context for things that you may have been experiencing, and
it's kind of like, oh, what that's in my chart.

(20:24):
It's really special, it's really wild, and so Darryl is
going to be looking at the forecast and letting us
know what is in the sky right now, what is
the bigger themes of the energies that are at play,
how those energies, if we choose to maximize on them,
can be beneficial for us, I think especially, and this

(20:44):
is something I love about the pattern app and also
co Star. They really tie in understanding of the human
psyche with astrology in a very very beautiful way that
I think can help with some shadow work. And Daryl
is just a master, So he is blessing us with
some deeper understandings of the themes that are available to

(21:07):
us right now, and some thoughts and ideas and guidance
about how to work with that energy individually. So I'm
so honored to share him with you, and we will
be exploring with him more and more as the summer progresses.
