Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to our pizza party.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Well, what are we celebrating football?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Obviously it want to be a pizza party without some friends.

Speaker 4 (00:09):
Let's hear from our friends to see what burning questions
you have about this NFL season.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
And thank you to the Journal for sponsoring the episode.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Well, I'm hungry Jewels.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
So I'm gonna start off with a slice of pizza.
We got peperoni, me trio and bacon. This is the
Italian meat Trio.

Speaker 5 (00:30):
What's up, dudes. It's Juicy Ja from Vegas and I'm
calling to see what you guys think. Sooner are gonna
happen a UNC national title for my Raiders win the
Super Bowl?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
That's tough, ma, man, it's a tough question right there,
He goes. What's the time frame window that we have here.
If it's within the next ten years, neither are gonna win.
If it's in the next twenty years, and possibly one
of them may win a national championship or a Super Bowl.
So I'd say, uh, I would just go with the Raiders,

(01:02):
though I would say Raiders.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
I'm gonna go with the Raiders as well.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
It's you gotta get the you gotta get the.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
The guys at UNC, it's basketball school. It's tough.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Bus coach can only go so far. Bruster's owning. We're
going by odds and the probability. I'm a math guy.
There's thirty two teams, so you have a chance to
win a super Bowl one out of thirty two. There's
about one hundred forty two NCAA Division one teams. One
divided by one hundred and forty two is like less

(01:37):
than one percent, way less than one percent. So you
have like a three point like three percent chance of
winning a super Bowl in the NFL, and in college
you have like a point five chance of winning uh
A National championship. So I will go with the Lass
Vegas Raiders, So win a super Bowl before UNC wins

(02:01):
the national champions I agree.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
That's the next one Jewels quick question.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
If you could relive one play in your career, not
to change it, but just to feel it again, which
one would it be and what would you be yelling
in your head during it? Love the show Man.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Punt returns. Touchdowns are awesome, like.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Couse, the moment lasts so long, like everyone like it's
a long play. Everyone's like working their balls off. It's
it's like a full team play and everything right has
to go. So like I would say, like that one
of those Indianapolis punt returns against McAfee, that.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Those were those were always you smack of feed him.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Now he actually smacked me on the other one, but
he I got caught in a juke and he got me.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
New smack smack of feed his punt. We we did.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
But those punk returns, those are like exciting fun like action,
thrilled filled place.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Well, here's a here's a which.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Well, speaking about McAfee, I actually returned one of his
on side kicks and almost brought it to the house,
Like Tippy towed the sideline, returned the on side kick,
started running, I got like ten yards in it, Tippy
towed the sideline and fell out of bounce. It was
the same club. It was the same game that I
threw the guy out of the club. And I really
wish I brought that ball to the house. Then I
could talk shit to mcafeel like, yeah, I returned your

(03:29):
on side kick to the house. That would be cool.
I to say, I smack a feed him, but just
like you did, Julis. But my favorite play let's talking
about that game when I threw that defensive.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Back on the Colts out of the club.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
If I could relive that, I always wanted to be
a bouncer growing up, so that was a special moment
for me. I would love to relive that, and I
still can. I can become a bouncer out of night
life and and go throw some people at the club.
So maybe I'll relive it one day.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Frequent we should just remake Roadhouse.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Jewel Rob, What is your diet like as a an
avilla athlete?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
And what was a cheap dan Meil looks like? Thanks
cheat days, baby.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Pizza. That's why we're eating right now. I'm already on
my second slice four minutes. I'm gonna probably eat the
whole entire thing with Julian easy. But I'm a big
I'm a big I'm a Buffalo guy, so I'm big.
I'm pizza obviously, also chicken wings and subs. I love
meatball subs. I love chicken finger subs, and I love

(04:26):
cheese steak subs. And the specialty I really like you
get in Buffalo is called the stinger, and it consists
of chicken fingers and steak both on the sub with
a lot of blue cheese, lettuce and tomato.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
That's my number one favorite cheat man, This stinger, This stinger,
my number one cheat day.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Gotta be a berg or like a French dip or burrito,
handheld rito, French dip, burger, tacos or dumplings, love dumplings,
pan fried of course, pain fried, of course, a little crisp.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
But regular, regular diet.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
I mean, I'm a big smoothie guy, little mitt What
is it called intermitute fastest intermitting?

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yeah, but smoothie is not a cheat mail like.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
You, Nobody asks what's your diet? Like as an NFL athlete?
Oh yeah, yeah, that was a smoothy guy. Yeah, big
smoothie guy.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
I am too.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Man, when you're burning so many calories, in order to
replace that many calories, it's really easy to do with
a smoothie.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Just chuck it down.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Just always biting food and chewing, Like it's tough to
have six thousand calories a day. When you got to
chew six thousand calories, it's easy to have a shake
and just toss it down and boom, that's fifteen hundred
calories right there in the shake.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Can you guys give us a team that will make
a surprising playoff appearance.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Of course, not the problem, man, I'm so glad that
you asked for real, alright, I love giving predictions, but
I'm gonna go with Brian Dable and the New England
not the New England Giants, tough New York Giants. Sorry,
just enjoying my pizza too much. That really, because the
pizza is just so delicious. But New York Giants head

(06:03):
coach Brian Dable. You want know why because the first
year he took over the Giants, he took over a
horrendous team and he turned it into a playoff team.
And last year they were horrendous. So let's just pretend
it's his first year coaching again and that he's going
to go back to the playoffs again because of that reason.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
I like that's I'm gonna go to Pats. Let's let's
see him make the playoffs. I think big, big start
to the season, a lot of excitement, a lot of
new guys, a lot of old guys.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
I'm excited for the Pats. I love the Jorna. I
love it more.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
I like their I like the sweet sauce. It's kind
of a sweet sauce. I've loved the Jonna since I
was a kid.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Mitrio, hmmm from the Jorna.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
What he most excited for this year?

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Guys, I'm excited. You want to know a game I'm
excited for. I'm excited for the rematch of the Philadelphia
Eagles versus Dallas Cowboys because Week one, when they face
off each other on Thursday night to start the season,
it was a great game and there was a weather delay,
and I believe that weather delay was a huge factor
in the outcome of the game. So I want to

(07:11):
see the rematch whenever it is, whatever week it is,
whenever it comes up, and I want to see that
rematch played in Dallas with no weather delay and see
who comes out victorious.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Good answer, Rob, Let's take a quick break from answering
calls and just enjoy this pizza for I mean, we
already took one down.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Appreciate the pizza.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
I honestly, do you like which one do you like better?

Speaker 4 (07:38):
The four cheese or the Well, I'm a Metrio meathead.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
The meat Trio just fits me. Same. You need like
a dipper with the cheese.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Jesus great by itself still, but ma'am, this new Dejoinal
wood fire style pizza show. Here, it's the Spotuls. We
just finished one full Italian metri drill and now we're
onto the four cheese and we're about to demoluse this one.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
So the Supremes, especially la.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I like it because it got a little peppers on there,
a little pepper on, you know, little bell peppers.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Or do you like it because it's bestly hoday Like.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
It's a tough word to say, and you feel really
a tarian when you.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Say anytime you get to emphasize a culture in the word,
I'm a freaking fan of I knew it. So go
pick up the new Dejorna wood fired style crust pizza
available now at Walmart.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
It's not delivery, it's the Jarno.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
What team are you guys most excited to watch this season?

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Oh? The team I'm excited to watch?

Speaker 5 (08:48):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Oh, I'm gonna go with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because
of the wide receiver corpse. Baker Mayfield distributes the ball
very well. They got two outstanding running Mike Evans just
keeps producing at a high level. Chris Godwin's back from injury.
They got that wide receiver in the first round that
they're saying, it's spectacular. It's gonna be a high powered offense.
And who doesn't love to watch football when there's high

(09:12):
powered offenses on the field, And that's what the Bucks have.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I'm really excited to watch these Packers.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Like the mic up Ice mark, the Micah Parson trade
is that big of a deal. He's gonna instantaneously make
them a contending Super Bowl team. And then I like
the draft pick Golden, first round draft pick, first first
round draft pick used on a receiver for like the
first time ever in the organization's history or something like that.
They already have a young nucleus of receivers that are

(09:40):
already pretty dang good. Christian Watson needs to stay healthy,
but downs there's another where there's the other one. There's
a few, there's like five of them. They're all really
good football players. You put on a true number one
with Golden, with Josh Jacobs in the backfield, gives jan option,
It gives Jordan Love a lot of options. So I'm
excited to watch them. And then you got mic on

(10:02):
the defense, Like, it's gonna be an exciting year in
that that division.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
What's your mount rushmore of pizza toppings.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
How do we feel about pineapple?

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Let me know, I honestly.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
I like pineapple and the pizza with I like the
whole you get a Hawaiian pizza. One one slice is
enough one. I can't like have the whole night of
pizza with pineapple on it. But I don't hate it.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
I'm not one of those people. Oh what the kid, dude,
it's pretty killer.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
Sometimes you get those pineapple char barbecue chicken type pizzas,
like those things fucking kick ass.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
But one pepperoni.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Pepperoni's always one. One is always pepperoni.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Two sausage alter my top two as well.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
And then three is a toss for me because I
love black olives on my pizza or mushrooms. I like
mushrooms like I like a combination pizza. I like like
all like usually pepperoni, sausage, and then like the a
couple of veggies, including back all those peppers.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
You're two for four, No, what's yours? Mine's the first
two that you hit. That's why I was like, we're
on the same page. But last then you went off track.
Oh she wants three, Oh you want three?

Speaker 1 (11:21):
You want three?

Speaker 4 (11:22):
So then I went to meet four. I went, yeah,
that's Mount Rushmore. Yeah, oh all right, Mount Rushmore is four.
You're right, good point, all right. So mine's pepperoni and
sausage obviously, And well then I really like meat, so
I'm gonna go with bacon as well. A big bacon guy.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Love bacon in the morning for breakfast, love bacon basically
for dinner as well. I love bacon at any time.
So bacon is on there. But then I want to
go a different route. You know, I'm gonna go with
a type of you know, some type of veggies, definitely, probably.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Rob's veggies, like hamburger meat.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Oh peppers, love peppers, not not like the Hot peppers,
but just Bill Peppers, Bell Peppers exactly. So Bell Peppers
loved that some flavoring as well. So those three meets
with Bell Peppers. It's definitely my Mount Rushmore. And that
makes for the most delicious pizza that.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
You can have. I like it.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
I would eat that last one. Here we go, last one,
best one.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
He is a Bob from Biloxi, Mississippi.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
Do you guys think Rogers has enough left in the
tank to get the Stealers of the playoffs or.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Biloxi, Mississippi.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
I can tell you something about Bloxi, Mississippi. When I
got my knee blown out when I was on the
New England Patriots. I got my surgery down in Pensacola,
Florida from doctor Andrews, and Bilexi, Mississippi, was the closest
city with the casino. So it was about six days
into surgery. It was a day off, so I got

(12:50):
in the car, went for a ride to Bilexi, Mississippi,
went to casino and had myself a day. I did
not win, but it gave me some entertainment. And that's
all there is to doing Biloxi, Mississippi, as well as
go to that dang casino and lose all your money.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
You're a riverboat gambler. Huh h Is it on a river?
Was it on a river? Was right on the ocean? Oh?
So the oh guy Lexi, Mississippi's on the ocean? Yes, man, Mississippi.
I I've never been good time, good old time.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Aaron Rodgers washed. I don't think Aaron Rodgers is washed.
I think he's not. Aaron Rodgers of seven eight years ago.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Of twenty ten when he won the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
But I think if the Stillers can protect the middle
of the pocket and give Aaron Rodgers time.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
I think he's gonna do good. He looked pretty good
last eight weeks of last year. He looked like a
He looked Aaron Rodger esque.

Speaker 5 (13:52):
M h.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Because he still could throw the ball.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
He just can't move the same and and when you
get older, it's it's harder to move. But he mind wise,
not washed, arm wise not washed. Like if Aaron is
seventy five percent of what he was, he's still better
than like ninety percent of people that throw in the
National Football League. That's how good of a thrower he was,

(14:15):
you know what I mean. So he still has the
mind in the arm. It's such a team sport. He
has to have the protection.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Yes, if the defense is solid like it always is
for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the wide receivers come and
play DK. If DK comes and shows out, the offensive
line can do what they just need to do to
protect Aaron Rodgers. Just for a long enough time for
him to just read the defense and unleash Eppa, he
will be a very solid player.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Solid, not washed, though not washed. He's not boshed.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Biloxi, Mississippi, is boshed for nightlifeuse you know was good.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
The nightlife I was looking for wasn't really there, so
that's boshed. They probably don't have an lmfao. I was looking.
I was waiting for that.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
I know you were, I know you were. Okay, those
are some great calls.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
Is there any party better than a pizza party?

Speaker 3 (15:14):
I don't think so. That was awesome. Thanks again to
our friends at the Jarno. Can't wait for our next
pizza party.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
And go pick up new Dejorna woodfire style crust pizza
available at Walmart.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
It's not delivery, it's the GNA
