He's got a nice beer, doesn't he He got a
nice beer.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
He's not as fun as Jack though.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
It's so great to be home back in Boston. It
really is, It really is. You know, we've had quite
a busy week. We had the Duncan House out in Dedham.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
That's a tongue twister.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Can you plain what you did there all week?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Juels, Well, we did a bunch of episodes of Dudes
on Dudes. We did a bunch of episodes of Games
with Names. Awesome guests, a couple.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Future guests, a couple of guests of the past. I
saw you were at Morgan Wallen.

Speaker 8 (02:55):
How was that Morgan wall Yeah, Morgan wall was Really
it was an honor to be able to do the
walk out with him. So about four months ago, his
team hit me up and they're like, yo, gronk well someone.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
From the Patriots. Because the team hit up him.

Speaker 8 (03:09):
They hit the up the Patriots, and the Patriots hit
me up. They're like, yo, you want to do the
walk out with Morgan wall And I was like, I'm
already going to the concert. I got a suite, my
family's going, no problem, let's do it. So about three
months later I came up with this brilliant idea and
I was.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
The idea, right.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
I pitched it to them.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I wonder what it is.

Speaker 8 (03:26):
Team, I'm like, all right, this is what we're gonna do.
I emailed them back, all right, Morgan Wallan is gonna
walk by me. I'm gonna be at my locker, I'm
gonna be putting my helmet on, all suited up, and
I'm gonna walk out with Morgan wall and acting like
his bodyguard. And then out of nowhere there's gonna be
someone in a Miami Dolphins uniform trying to get the
Morgan walling and I'm gonna level that motherfucker, come boom,

(03:51):
and then out of nowhere there's gonna be a New
York Jet guy coming.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I'm gonna level him.

Speaker 8 (03:56):
And then out of nowhere there's gonna be a Buffalo
Bill's guy. I'm gonna throw him to the round and
give him the people's elbow like I did a tradavious wife.
Guess what, No reply.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Back at all, no reply back.

Speaker 8 (04:08):
So five days before the concert, I'm like, I guess
I got booted.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I haven't heard from them.

Speaker 8 (04:14):
Two days later I get a text message, Yo, Gronk,
you still down to do the walk? I was like,
of course, and never brought up the email, never brought
up anything. And then I was just chilling in my
house with Camille and I was like, Comelle, I.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Need some props. We walked through the garage.

Speaker 8 (04:29):
She found that six one seven Boston Strong Patriots jersey.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I was like, yes, that's dope. Rob Ninkovich was there.
He was hating on it. He's like, oh, that's weak.
You're gonna wear that jersey?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I mean, not never hating, always hating, always hating.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
And then we walk in my office. I'm like, look
at that Patriot guitar right there. I gotta bring that
out with me as well. And then we were in
the back room and Morgan.

Speaker 8 (04:53):
Was like, you should you should ground spike that guitar.
And I was like, great idea, Morgan, that was already
in my mind. And I was like, you know, I
can't ground spike. What out of touchdown pass? So he
tossed me the guitar, spike the shit out of it,
and come boom.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
The rest was history, and he got were any of
you guys at that concert?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Did you guys see Gronk break a guitar? I'm probably sure. Yeah,
I'm probably sure. He also did the playground, Yes, so
explain what is this Boston playground the Gronk Playground.

Speaker 8 (05:24):
It was such an amazing day. We opened it up
last Tuesday. And when I first retired with the new
Engham Patriots, after we won that Super Bowl versus Los
Angeles Rams in Atlanta. Yes, get up for Julian he
was MVP of that game, Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yes, And.

Speaker 8 (05:45):
It was that Super Bowl, right, I think it was,
I mean every Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
So I'm getting confused.

Speaker 8 (05:49):
You're MVP, but so I'll retire that year and then
I wanted to give back to the city of Boston
because everyone in the city of Boston, you know, gave
everything they had to me while while I was playing
for the New England Patriots.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
So I was like, I caught up.

Speaker 8 (06:04):
Susan Hurley, who runs all the foundations for the Boston
Marathon and runs my Marathon foundation. I was like, I
got a great idea. I have the Grand Nation Youth
Foundation as well. I was like, I want to build
a playground in the city of Boston to give back
to the community for everything that they have given me,
you know, throughout my playing time in New England. And
that was in twenty nineteen and now we fast forward.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
It took six years to get it done.

Speaker 8 (06:29):
Yeah, you know the states, you know the cities, all
the laws I got to get passed.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
It's all good.

Speaker 8 (06:34):
But it was well worth the wait and it was
one of the coolest experiences opening it up. A one
point eight million dollar playground from the Grand Nation Youth Foundation, and.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I bet you there's people.

Speaker 8 (06:46):
I bet you there's people in here that contributed to
the Grank Nation Youth Foundation as well.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
So thank you guys for that.

Speaker 8 (06:52):
It wasn't just me raising the money, as a lot
of people that had great contributions as well. Julian's done
things for me before we're The money went to the
foundation as well. There's a lot of Boston Marathon runners
out there where the money went to the foundation then
went to the playground. So thank you to everyone that contributed.
It was one of the best moments ever. And if
you go buy the playground, it's packed with kids.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Every single day.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Let's go right. What a guy.

Speaker 8 (07:17):
And speaking of doing great things as well, Julian, I
just saw recently you were at.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
The Boston Children's Hospital.

Speaker 8 (07:23):
Why don't you tell us a little bit a little
bit of something about that.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
You know, it was real apparent when we first came
to New England.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Mister Craft and missus Kraft at the time before she passed,
made it clear that if you're going to be a
New England Patriot, you're gonna make an impact on this
community in a positive manner. And over the years we
used to go to that children's hospital all the time
and it brings such a different perspective to your life.
You know, now that I'm a father, you see some

(07:51):
of these parents and these little kids that are are
you know, they're going through a lot of tough times
and when you could change and distract for a day
or bring a smile to them, I mean, it's something
that really brings you and hits you home.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
So you know, I was trying to do that.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
I wanted to go feel that and see some of
the friends that I made over the Boston Children's Hospital Hospital.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Can we give a.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Round of applause or Boston Children Yes, there was kids
from everywhere.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
There was kids from everywhere everywhere. We went to the
We also hit that Duncan House.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
This whole week, did all our content there, but uh,
we had a great week.

Speaker 8 (08:29):
Well, before we get into the show, can we give
a round of applause to Julin everyone this year's Patriots.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Hall of Fame.

Speaker 8 (08:38):
Yes, birth ballot, birth ballot, well deserved, well deserved.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Hold on, hold on, hold on? Can we give him
a round of applause? For the guy who signed a
one year, i mean one day contract and he's retiring
to patre robnook out.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Guy, I'm tricking everyone. That's a one year contract. I'm
coming back. I'm coming back.

Speaker 8 (09:05):
For one game so I can blow out my hammy
and go on the I iron get paid.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
But I'll retell you as a patriot. It's all good,
It's all good.

Speaker 8 (09:12):
I mean the salary caps like five hundred million dollars. Now,
I'm sure they can, you know, put some money.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Aside for me a lot of people. Hey, guys, we
have a great show for you tonight. We have some
amazing guests that you guys are gonna love. We have
some fun games.

Speaker 8 (09:26):

as well throughout the show, so pay attention.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
And then what else?

Speaker 11 (09:32):
What is that?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Oh? Oh, we got the Duncan wheel as well.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Check it out, the old Duncan wheel.

Speaker 8 (09:37):
Guys all love Dunkin Donuts, don't you, hey.

Speaker 12 (09:42):

where you guys at. Not yet, we get there. We'll
get there.

Speaker 8 (09:53):
First off, let us be the first ones to.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Say welcome to the nuthouse.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
M hmm, before we get to the wheel. We're gonna
get to the wheel. Just hold on.

Speaker 8 (10:05):
We'll be spending that all night long, like it's high
school spinning the bottle.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
You know how it goes.

Speaker 8 (10:10):
You just want more and more and more, and if
it doesn't land on the one you want, you disclose
your eyes and spin again.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
But we gotta, we gotta, we gotta go over a
few nuthouse rules for tonight. All right, So let's start
with rule number one. First rule, we can't spike shot glasses.

Speaker 13 (10:28):
Grub boo.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Boo for Julian, Well can I spike water bottles? Oh
oh oh, oh ship. We don't want our guests to
be wet.

Speaker 8 (10:47):
I mean like at one am, we want them to
be all wet, but not not like right now, like
that ain't good.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
That ain't that's my seat.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
That's that ain't good. Mm hmmm. All right, Julian, you're
gonna have to sit in that. We get a towel.

Speaker 14 (11:00):

we're all little towel man.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
We're a little washed.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
All right.

Speaker 8 (11:08):
Well, now that I got a rule, Julian needs a
rule as well.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
And the second rule is no thirst traps.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Oh oh oh, we get it, bro weeah, we got it.
You're trying to work out. Julian's trying to work out
and show the people working out.

Speaker 8 (11:29):
Well, your shirt will probably my guess is his shirt

Speaker 2 (11:36):

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Let's get into the rules, rob Rule three, do not
mention these two guys.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
They will not be at the show. Just want to
warn you. Do not mention them.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Don't even think of their names, all right?

Speaker 8 (11:50):
And the fourth rule is light on the glazing, everybody,
Jack Jack.

Speaker 15 (11:57):
Julis you're looking rip tonight, brother boom glazier.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Easy on the glazing. And in the fifth and final rule,
leave it all in the field. I don't think that's
gonna be a problem. I don't think that's gonna be
a problem now, not at all.

Speaker 8 (12:12):
Jewles left down the field. I left on the field.
And this is the most fired up I've been since
I've retired. Everyone, so thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Should we bring out our first guest?

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Hold on my phone is vibrating right now. This is bullshit.
Whos possibly call them? Pip my phone out of here.
They're distracting me.

Speaker 8 (12:31):
No distractions, as coach would say, well until he gets
the UNC, then that's many.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Until he gets the UNC.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Who's the first guest huh, who could it be? Well,
she's a model, actress and a host.

Speaker 11 (12:45):
Hey, hey, I got a girl.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
You can't be bringing out models now, jeweles.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Well she is a swimsuit SI swimsuit model.

Speaker 8 (12:53):
This is getting worse now, but hopefully this girl comes
out in her bikini then yeah, well.

be Ralphie's mom. Everybody coming out?

Speaker 12 (13:12):

Speaker 2 (13:32):

Speaker 5 (13:36):

Speaker 16 (13:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (13:37):
I don't think we've ever done a podcast together.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
We never have. This is a first. Everyone give me
that this is our first.

Speaker 8 (13:45):
So maybe we'll see why we never have, or maybe
we should start doing more.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Maybe we'll have to. Let's start it out.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Come.

Speaker 10 (13:53):
You am I the first girl on Dudes on Dudes.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
You're the first dude at on Dudes on Dudes. Oh,

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Into it, all right, give us some nitty gritty on Rob.
What's something that no one knows about Rob that you
only know? Does he pick his nosey's bugger as well?

Speaker 10 (14:18):
All right, so you guys already know that.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
I think Camille already knows that.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
So he us something something really good on Rob.

Speaker 10 (14:28):
It's more like, what do I want to share and
then people know that I still date you with those habits?
No something people, Okay.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Anything Camille, Okay, okay, I won't be embarrassed.

Speaker 10 (14:40):
I don't know if it's that good, but anything, anything, okay.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Rob.

Speaker 10 (14:45):
It's very rare that he sleeps through the night, so
he usually wakes up around three four in the morning.
And I used to panic, thinking that there was a
house fire. But it's just like Rob cooking eggs at
like three am, like like wakes up like a hungry
beast twenty four seven. So if I wake up in
the middle of the nights, like run to the restroom.
Rob and Ralphie are just in the kitchen eating food

(15:06):
together the night, it's like a regular happened. He's got
to break the sing like the gross thing you got to.

Speaker 8 (15:12):
Tell him something provocative. Come on, I know there's a
lot more out there. That was the PG I cook
eggs at provocative?

Speaker 10 (15:22):
Rob, What do you do that's provocative that I can share?

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Like?

Speaker 10 (15:25):
Do you have something in your mind? Do we need
to tell whispers me?

Speaker 2 (15:30):
What about the stuff Ralphie and I do together? What we.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Hit the wheel?

Speaker 10 (15:41):
The wheel.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
That we riped farts together?

Speaker 10 (15:48):
Okay, that's okay, Yeah, they make out and rip farts together,
hit the wheel.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
You gotta spend it a little harder than that. I heard.

Speaker 10 (15:56):
If I spin it hard, will be here like all day.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
But what do we get here? Let's see Mount Rushmore?

Speaker 10 (16:03):
I'm scared?

Speaker 1 (16:04):
What's that? All right?

Speaker 4 (16:05):
Jack?

Speaker 1 (16:05):
What's the Mount Rushmore? Come here? You let your Mount
Rushmore of Boston celebrities? Oh?

Speaker 10 (16:11):
Who is the Mount Rushmore?

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Top four Boston Celebrities divorces?

Speaker 10 (16:15):
Okay, Tom, I think let's.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Hear it from you guys.

Speaker 10 (16:18):
So I got this, I got this, Joe, Tom Brady
number one.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
I'm Brady number one?

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Easy?

Speaker 10 (16:31):
I'm going.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Is someone saying Tony Hawk, Now we got Brady? All right?

Speaker 10 (16:38):
I'm going with the Matt Damon.

Speaker 17 (16:41):
Matt Damon, I'm going with David Ortiz, David Orgon.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Big Poppy. It's our fucking city number four.

Speaker 10 (16:53):
I heard of Pedro. All right, I'm going with this.
What's coming in at fourth? I'm giving it a Danny
Jules Gronk for fourth place. I think you guys are
pretty legendary.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Sound glaze it up?

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Baby?

Speaker 18 (17:18):
Wait?

Speaker 10 (17:18):
Who should have been number four?

Speaker 1 (17:23):
What's you saying?

Speaker 2 (17:24):
And Mark?

Speaker 10 (17:29):
Let's give it some Mark, let's go all right? All right,
all right, all right, I'm gonna answer your guys questions.
I have a little game for you.

Speaker 14 (17:39):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Is that okay? All right, let's go.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Okay.

Speaker 10 (17:45):
So, since you two know each other so well, I
figured it was time to put that to the test
with a little game that I'm gonna call dudely Weds.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Dudely Weds.

Speaker 10 (17:57):
Okay, this is how you play. The rules are really simple.
Listen up, Rob, if I if I give you a question,
do you have whiteboards? I'm going to give you a
question and each of you will answer with what you
think the other would say.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Did you listen to Rob?

Speaker 10 (18:13):
So don't write what you would do? Write what Jules.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
Would I got your baby? Okay, you know I'm smart.

Speaker 10 (18:21):
I know you're smart, but sometimes you don't listen all this.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Okay, I'll take that funny lap.

Speaker 10 (18:30):
No laugh at my jokes. This is like the number
one thing in our house? Was Was that a good one?
So that was a good one for me? Okay, then
we're going to compare. You'll each get one point for
each correct answer, not sixty nine, just one. All right,
Now let's get into it. Are you ready? Penn's ready,
Marker's ready, don't think?

Speaker 1 (18:47):
All right? All right, I'm peaking.

Speaker 10 (18:49):
What is your favorite moment from your career?

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (18:55):
What do you think Rob's is? What do you think
Julian's is? I think I know Rob's Let me see
your answer. I think you're right, Julian, Rob crossed out
his first answer.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Cheat is very anxiously. There should be like a time like,
come on, Rob, what do you got?

Speaker 10 (19:18):
I got seconds?

Speaker 2 (19:19):
All right? You ready?

Speaker 14 (19:20):
How do you do this?

Speaker 8 (19:21):
Hold on?

Speaker 10 (19:22):
All right, Julian, flip your board? What DoD Rob say?

Speaker 1 (19:26):
I think Rob would have said? Super Bowl forty nine?
Everyone scored?

Speaker 10 (19:30):
What was your answer?

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Or?

Speaker 15 (19:32):
What is it?

Speaker 8 (19:32):
Super Bowl catch versus Atlanta Falcons, the fingertip catch?

Speaker 10 (19:39):
So Rob, what is your favorite moment of your career.

Speaker 8 (19:43):
Julian got it right winning Super Bowl forty nine versus
Seattle Seahawks. We all contributed or Julian had the game
winning touchdown. Our boy Amon Dola scored Marine out of
the backfield, about ten catches, over.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
One hundred yards, plenty of first downs. It was just
such a good game.

Speaker 8 (20:00):
And then the Malcolm Butler interception to seal the Yeah,
seal the deal.

Speaker 10 (20:06):
Julian, what would your answer be?

Speaker 1 (20:08):
My answer would have been not that that was a
cool catch, but my answer would have been AFC Championship
twenty eighteen and we went into the goddamn Kansas City
Chiefs room.

Speaker 11 (20:19):
That would be.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
We weren't supposed to do.

Speaker 10 (20:24):
It on the road.

Speaker 8 (20:26):
I just want to talk about that game real quick.
That's a great answer to Julian. If you go back
and watch that game, about the last eight minutes of
the game, we had like four third and tens or
fourth and tens, and every single time Tom Brady looked
at Julian Edelman and it was completed for a first
down to keep that chains going.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
But we needed the one to seal the deal. And
who had the last one on third and ten?

Speaker 3 (20:51):
Double goes to Edelman Rob Gronkowski on a slant round
burst down.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Baby, let's go Rob. And then we whipped their ass
in overtime and Rexburg ran it in.

Speaker 8 (21:03):
The end zone right behind me, and we beat them
in the FC championship game on the road in Kansas
City City.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Baby, that was it.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Next question, I don't know exactly. I don't think anyone
got one right, but yeah, zero, that was my favorite.

Speaker 10 (21:18):
My favorite super Bowl game is super Bowl forty nine
because that was my first ever Super Bowl. I was
also a cheerleader for the team, so I was there
and I witnessed that Malcolm Butler interception and your first
touchdown and your first Super Bowl touchdown. And I got
a super Bowl ring too, and then I snuck it
to the team hotel, so the Patriots get better security
because we celebrated together after the game.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Oh so everyone got a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
I had two touchdowns that night.

Speaker 18 (21:49):
I like.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
It all right. One scored great, great game.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Who did you score with Julian?

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Huh, that wasn't the question. Moving on a question, Robbie,
this is my my game, my game. It was a joke.

Speaker 10 (22:02):
When when were you, oh, when were you most annoyed
with each other.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Is that? Now?

Speaker 10 (22:12):
My question is is that hard for you guys to answer? Easy?
Do you get each other's nerves through the years? I
can answer this question.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
I don't know when I was annoyed with I don't
think I ever got annoyed with Rob, but I know
I annoyed his ass.

Speaker 10 (22:27):
Rob's like writing a really long answer.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
Jesus Christ.

Speaker 10 (22:32):
All right, let me let me do this answer differently.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
All right? Wait?

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Wait, do we put our answers first?

Speaker 10 (22:36):
No, Julian, what do you think Rob wrote up on
the board?

Speaker 1 (22:40):
What do I think Rob wrote on the board?

Speaker 10 (22:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Oh did I write? I wrote for him?

Speaker 1 (22:46):
What I thought I think he? Oh? No, what he
thinks I was most annoyed.

Speaker 10 (22:51):
I know it's a little confusing.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I was worried about it.

Speaker 10 (22:53):
What do you think you've done to annoy Wait? I'm
actually confused.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
I think I'm confused as well.

Speaker 10 (22:59):
Wait, hold on on, what were you most annoyed with
each other? When were you annoyed with each other?

Speaker 1 (23:05):
If I was Gronk, I know when I was annoyed.
If I was me, I was annoyed with Gronk.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Never.

Speaker 10 (23:13):
Oh, you know you have to have an answer because
I know he definitely has an answer, so like then
we'll everyone.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
I really don't have an answer.

Speaker 10 (23:18):
Oh that's sad.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
I don't remember. I remember annoyed. Nice for you.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
You're so sweet man.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
What did you think? Uh?

Speaker 2 (23:25):
I wrote?

Speaker 8 (23:27):
Wait, I'm a little confused. I'm supposed to write when
you you most annoyed me?

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Yes, all right, all right, then I'm right, all right?

Speaker 8 (23:34):
Then I did it right, Pardo Julian in the locker room.
He just took it up, you know, too many notches sometimes,
like we bring in a guy he's in a wheelchair,
you know, we a he's a wide receiver, and then all.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
Why did we sign this guy?

Speaker 2 (23:49):
He's gonna take my job?

Speaker 8 (23:50):
Like Julian ree laughs, The guy's in a wheelchair. No, no, no, no, Bill,
I'm gonna go talk to Bill like like fuck, I'm playing.
I'm playing like my arm doesn't hurt anymore. Like you
just I'm like, joint, you're going too overboard.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Bro was competitive. I was a competitive guy.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
So it was a good thing. Though. It was a
good thing.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
When so what about how do we do this one?

Speaker 19 (24:15):
Now?

Speaker 1 (24:16):
When was Rob annoyed with me? Yeah?

Speaker 10 (24:18):
He went, So, when were you most annoyed with each other.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
I think I annoyed Rob the most before practice because
Rob would be sitting in his locker all tired, damn
near naked, and I would just sit there. And I
knew because if we needed to have Rob to have
a great practice for everyone to have confidence. And so
I would sit there and I see the big fellaws
just sitting in his locker. He's probably in a lot

(24:43):
of pain, which he he was. I'd sit there and
I go over his shoulder.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I go, he he's big, he's bad, He's big, bad Rob.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
And know when I'd keep on doing it and he
would sit there and nudget off, I go, he's big,
he's bad, he's big bad. All of a sudden he
started jumping up balls and everything. Hey can he get
fired up?

Speaker 2 (25:12):
But that was that was that it m M yeah,
Because sometimes you just kept doing it. I'm like, I'm
like jewels, chill out, like I get it. I get it.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
But he did Rob to have a good practice for
us to no.

Speaker 8 (25:21):
It worked, man, every time, and I appreciated that because
you need the guys in the locker room to pick
you up. It's a grind, you know, every single week
you're getting hit, you're getting banged up.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
You're practicing hard. Coach Balichuck never gave us.

Speaker 8 (25:32):
A break, no days off and know, no days off,
so it was like, oh, you had to pick each
other up. And that's why we were such a great
team because of guys like Julian picking myself up. I
would pick up Julian whenever he needed. Tom was there
to pick you up. I mean so many other guys
and so many friends. The defense would pick you up.
We would pick up the defense, and that's why we
were such a great team, and we had such a
great bond.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
And won so many championships together. So I appreciate that.
Jewels no problem.

Speaker 10 (25:56):
You want to know what, Julian, I actually remember a
time you were at our house. This might have been
like I don't even know, eight or nine years ago,
and we were in the game room the Foxborough House
and I remember Rob when Upstairscholl get ready. You guys
are about to go out and have a boys' night,
And you were like, you know what annoys me about Gronk?
And I was like what, And you were like, I
spent all this time and all this money on this
designer outfit. He's gonna go upstairs and put on these

(26:20):
Neon orange shorts and this Neon red shirt and nothing's
gonna match. And everybody's still gonna think he's so swaggy
and cool and he's such a goof and he still
pulls chicks.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
And I was like, whoa.

Speaker 10 (26:34):
Even in the Neon outphit And I was like, actually
it worked for me, but I just remember you being
like that pisses me off.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
It's still like, not my guy would go out and
did freaking Jordan flipflops, going to like we're going to
like a fancy restaurant.

Speaker 10 (26:47):
No, he's so fancy tonight for you. I've never seen him.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
He looks handsome.

Speaker 16 (26:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (26:54):
Look, I'm gonna skip the next question because he kind
of already answered. It was how do you cheer the
other up? But I think it's like that song that
you sing to him. That would have been.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Jack Kyler, who won?

Speaker 2 (27:06):
We all lost Jules.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
That confused me so much.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I'm confused.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
You're Julian, You're Rob who zoo? I don't even know who.

Speaker 10 (27:13):
We're gonna answer one last question to make this game
makes sense. For the winning point, okay, for all the marbles.
What is your favorite place on Earth?

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Right.

Speaker 10 (27:23):
Julian's answer right. Rob's answer, Thank you, Camille.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Where's Rob's favorite place?

Speaker 10 (27:38):
I don't even think he knows? So any answers?

Speaker 11 (27:40):
Right, I got it, I got it, all right, I
got it too.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
I got it Rob.

Speaker 10 (27:48):
You go first, say your answer in person. You don't
have to flip your board because you have Julian's answer.
Say your answer. What's your favorite place on Earth?

Speaker 2 (27:56):
My favorite place? Yes, I love being in the ocean.

Speaker 10 (28:00):
Oh, what was your answer?

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Foxborough House.

Speaker 10 (28:04):
He's always there, He's always there.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
He's always at his fox Bro House. I'm like Rob,
where you at it?

Speaker 10 (28:10):
Loves to take naps in there.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
All right? What's my favorite place?

Speaker 10 (28:14):
What is your favorite place on Earth?

Speaker 1 (28:16):
My favorite place is with my my daughter.

Speaker 10 (28:18):
I was gonna say that with Lily.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
I was going to say that too, but that was
the obvious. Julian, what what do you think my favorite was?

Speaker 5 (28:24):
Well?

Speaker 2 (28:25):
This, I definitely know this used to be your favorite place?

Speaker 5 (28:27):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (28:28):
I used to see it all the time. It is
all the time.

Speaker 8 (28:31):
Uh up Tom's butt, Come on, Bob's I'm gonna be
open man ever play man, I'm going to be open here.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
Come on, come on, Bob's some would call that a
smart man.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
He did.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
He delivers the football. He delivers the football. Need those catches?
All right?

Speaker 10 (28:49):
Well, I don't know that's you, guys. That was for
all the marbles.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
So how about come here everyone? How about come here?
How about come here everybody?

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Yeah, girls of the bride, all right, great job you too.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
You killed it.

Speaker 10 (29:10):
Oh, you guys are fine. All right, guys, enjoy the
rest of the show. You have great dudes.

Speaker 20 (29:16):
We'll be right back after this quick break.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Are you guys ready for our next guests? Well, one
of the guests.

Speaker 8 (29:28):
Touch dude's butts, and the one guests liked to but
getting touched.

Speaker 3 (29:34):
Everyone give a big round of applies for Brian Hoyer
and David Andrews.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Super Bowl champions Rob are.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Here, Roub.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
You see here?

Speaker 1 (29:48):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (29:49):
Bro?

Speaker 1 (29:49):
I like touching butts?

Speaker 2 (29:51):
I guess five minutes David? Thank you, man, welcome. What's
going on? Fellows? How you doing tonight?

Speaker 21 (29:58):
What's up?

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Man?

Speaker 1 (29:59):
The last time I I was in this building was
watch Dave Chappelle. You guys are big time m hm.
And you guys want any podcasting advice from us or anything? Well,
That's why I'm here for I'm any advice you can help,
we have absolutely none. We just come up here and
just talk. That's what we do too.

Speaker 14 (30:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Really it's the best way to go about is there analysts?

Speaker 5 (30:17):
Right?

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Analysts? Podcasters?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (30:20):
I like to touch butts. He likes his butt being touched.

Speaker 21 (30:23):
I'm gonna miss my butt be in touched.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
I mean, can you explain that? Can you explain a
Saturday walk through practice when you don't have a girdle on,
you have just boxers and the quarterback has just put
his hands up and literally lift your balls up.

Speaker 18 (30:37):
I may feel like doing it more in like high school,
when you're a little bit more afraid of that stuff.

Speaker 21 (30:41):
Yeah, and like you're like sixteen years old and you're.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Like, go ahead, do it, you know, do it? You know.

Speaker 21 (30:49):
Then as I got older, it started to hurt. You know,
I think I have callouses, he callous?

Speaker 1 (30:53):
That bad oh, and start drooping a little bit.

Speaker 18 (30:57):
Yeah, but there's I don't know, it's there's nothing like
a quarterback center relationship.

Speaker 21 (31:03):
There's nothing like it.

Speaker 18 (31:04):
And you know, been very fortunate to have a lot
of great quarterbacks in my career, and obviously Tommy was
a psychopath about all of it. Shotgun snaps under center.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Explain like, what about a shotgun snap? Is he insane about?

Speaker 2 (31:18):
I don't.

Speaker 18 (31:18):
I don't know, Like that's what I got there, and
I was really good at shotgun snapping, and he'd be like,
I need it like this, I need faster. He wanted
it faster, tighter, spirals, all that stuff, and that to
me is very different. I think the whole quarterback center
exchange is getting lost in football with a lot of
these offenses.

Speaker 21 (31:36):
But that's a soap opera for another day.

Speaker 18 (31:39):
But he just, like, you know, very particular, all the
stories about the towels, none of that ship's made up,
Like coming around in practice, you know it's hot, you're
dying out there in training camp, ripping your pants of
just powder, powder power, and it's just like, I thank

(32:00):
god we didn't play in like tam. I don't know
how he dealed with it when he went to Tampa,
like because at least here it's not humid, you know,
And but he was peculiar about it, but there was
method to I mean, what are you gonna say as
a rookie when you come in and Tom Brady's in
year fourteen or whatever it was? What am myself. No, gosh, sure,
do whatever you want. I just was laying there submissive,

(32:21):
you know whatever.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
By the way, can we give a round of applause
for David Andrews' career? Yes, undrafted free agent comes in
right away, wins his Super Bowl, wins two. I mean, gosh, boy,
dog throw on this analyst cap, like, what is the
twenty twenty five Patriots gonna be.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Like right now? I'm excited, Jules.

Speaker 17 (32:45):
I know you were a practice about a week ago,
and I started being an analyst last year. We had
a tough season, but there's a lot to be excited about.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
Our boy. Josh McDaniels is back, Raves is back. I
love that pairing with the.

Speaker 17 (32:59):
Young Drake may a lot to be excited about. And man,
this Traveon Henderson. I don't know if I've ever seen
any like him.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Oh.

Speaker 17 (33:07):
We we were in the stadium practice, which was a
little different. Remember when we were in the stadium practice,
it was a glorified walk through. Braves was having full
on team draft competition. I don't think I've ever seen
a running.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Back hit the hole out of the backfield like this
guy hit. And then of course the first staff, the
first kickoff of the preseason takes it to the house. Wow. Yeah,
we got some new guys.

Speaker 17 (33:28):
On defense, you guys are gonna love Robert splane Is.
He is like the defensive version of Julian Edelman. He
is just gonna run through a brick wall, no matter
what it takes. Harold Landry a guy who's played with
Brabes Gonzo, I mean, top corner in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
There's a lot to be excited about Beck.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Yah.

Speaker 4 (33:45):
Heck, what's the best.

Speaker 8 (33:46):
Trait that Josh McDaniels brings to the table for the
offense this season.

Speaker 17 (33:49):
Well, as you guys know, you were in the system
for a long time, he is going to empower Drake
May to be the commander.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
On the field.

Speaker 17 (33:56):
He's gonna be out there. You're going to see him
point in the mic. We saw it a few nights
ago in that stadium practice. He's getting alerts. He's getting
back in the shotgun, he sees the blitz, he's alerted
to a pass. It's something that they didn't ask him
to do last year. So he's taking that role on.
I think there may be a few bumps in the road,
but it's a learning process and as you guys know,
we watched Tom do it for all those years when

(34:16):
the quarterbacks in control. What's the famous clip, Hey, Rob,
stand up. You're gonna see Drake out there navigating the offense.
And look, Josh is gonna be right there with him
the whole way. There's not a coach that I played
for that I respect more than Josh McDaniels. So we
should all be excited about him being back.

Speaker 8 (34:31):
And Josh McDaniels, if you started your career in New England,
how did Josh help you develop in your first few
years as a quarterback.

Speaker 17 (34:38):
Yes, So if you guys remember Billy Oh was here
then was he had just taken over for Josh College
see football, make sure we go support Billy Oh.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Yeah, Billy Oh was here.

Speaker 17 (34:50):
And then when I left and came back, that was
when Josh was here and you and I were having
fun on your podcast talking about to Read It route.
The things that Josh has developed have really been innovative
in the game of football, and so I think, look,
we got a young left tackle, first round pick, a
great guy who kind of reminds me of my podcast
partner here, David Andrews.

Speaker 18 (35:09):
He's got to get more money to me though, But
was that a lot more money than me?

Speaker 21 (35:13):
That's true that I got a plane ticket in a
box of pizza.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
There there you go. Yeah, look to undrafted guys up here.
I mean, we didn't get much, Dave. Let's let's we
gotta play the hits. I mean, that's too much analysts, right, analytics?
What's the best Gronk story that you remember in a
locker room?

Speaker 18 (35:30):
So it's not the best, But for me, it was
the most impactful because I was a young rookie and
you know, you're just trying to find your way, and
you know, when I got to the team, you and Rob,
you know, are up there and you're really just trying
to You don't feel like you're a part of the
team yet you're just this young guy. I was undrafted,

(35:51):
you know, I'm just and me and Buddy walked into
the sauna one day and Rob was in there, so
you're just kind of like, hey man, and you're just
kind of like sitting there.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
And are we naked? Are we wearing clothes? Are we
toiled up?

Speaker 2 (36:04):
I think I think we were.

Speaker 21 (36:08):
Elite grays.

Speaker 18 (36:10):
Those are gone now, so shame see, I have like
fifty pairs I have a bunch of mine. My wife
was like we were moving, She's like, what are all
these I'm like, they're not leaving their states.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
What are the grays?

Speaker 21 (36:20):
There's the gray underwear that I know, Yeah, they were.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
I mean there's a box of bin.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
There's a bin of gray underwear that was like communal underwears, literally,
but they were in the hot tub. So you go
in and you go see the communal underwear, You pick
up a pair, you go throw them on, you go
get in the hot tub, and like they would rewash it.
I'd be wearing like a forty six and like they
very fit.

Speaker 21 (36:41):
They're the most comfortable things.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
To sleep, most comfy things to sleep in.

Speaker 18 (36:44):
But so we go in the sauna and I just
ended up having like a fifteen minute conversation with Rob
And and as a as a rookie in the league,
like to sit there and just talk with Rob And
like a one on one normal situation. It just made
me feel a part of the team. I was like,

(37:06):
you know, this dude was like Superman. When I got here,
I was like, holy shit, Like we just talked. He
was like twenty seven at the time. I think it
just was such a cool experience for me, and I'll
never forget that moment. So it's not like the most
like crazy gronk Yoso fiesta, but like for me at
the time, it just was really impactful as a young

(37:28):
kid in the league trying to make the team, and
he gave me the time of day.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
Oh look at see.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
I've told you Robbie's not an annoying guy. He's the
big jolly green giants.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
A lot man. I kind of have a little story
about David two.

Speaker 8 (37:41):
This is when I knew he was such a great
player and we got a steal because he was an
undrafted player. I'm just throwing routes with Tom on the side,
and then we're just walking back into the locker room
and then I see you guys are always doing work,
always snapping the ball, doing the extra you know, Mike
Reids linebacker reads all that good stuff.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
And I'm walking in with Tom.

Speaker 8 (37:58):
He's like, bro, telling you we got to steal with
the center man, undrafted player. I love this guy. He's
a workhorse, he takes no ship. This is the guy
and he's going to be the guy.

Speaker 18 (38:08):
For a while, I was like Julian, I was trying
to get up his along those times.

Speaker 8 (38:14):
I was like, dang.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
I was like, this is legit, man.

Speaker 8 (38:16):
We got an undrafted free agent player right out of
college and he's going to be our starter for a while.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
So that's when I knew you were the real deal.
And Tom was hyping you up.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Do you hear what he said?

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Now? What he said?

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Did you say?

Speaker 18 (38:26):
I was trying to be like Jeules. I was making
sure if this guy liked me, maybe there's a shot here.
He likes my butt, maybe I can stay.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
So smart man.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
Well, you guys are opposite. Tom was up your butt
and Julian.

Speaker 21 (38:40):
Like the human centipede.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Alredy horror horror, already horror horror, so funny, Jewels, I'm
the only other one that gets it. Yeah, well, what's
your best crunk story, hoy?

Speaker 11 (38:50):
Yeah, but I got a few.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
First of all, let him know who threw your first
touchdown passing the NFL.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Yes it was, Yes, it was my first touch.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
It was the preseason, but it was your first.

Speaker 8 (39:00):
It was week two, and like I wanted the ball
more like. I was like, I need the ball more like.
And Tom kind of only throws you the ball if
he trusts in you, and it's really higher to gain
his trust because the chemistry to build that up it
takes time, and he has his guys already, so I
get my opportunity. I'm in with the threes, you know,
the twos in the second third quarter of the second

(39:21):
preseason game, and like my route got called. It's a
seam route, and I'm like, all right, I gotta just burst.
Hoyer is always looking for me. I feel like I'm
the best receiver on the field right now because we're
with the threes and fours and twos. I'm like, Hoyer's
going to throw me the ball if I just get
some leverage, i just take off in Atlanta, go up
to see him. Hoyer throws me a nice laser up
in the air. I jon't catch it, land the guy

(39:42):
tries to tackle me, falls the guys, and boom, I'm
in the end zone. And it kind of boosted my
career tremendously because Hoyer believed in me.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
You just need someone to believe in you, and Hoyer believed.

Speaker 8 (39:54):
In me from the beginning, and he helped boosts me.
Because Tom's watching that film as well, so he goes,
damn nice throw.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Look at Gronk with that route.

Speaker 8 (40:03):
If you're trusting in him, you're always throwing him because
he's always working with the twos. I was working with
Hoyer a lot. Well, maybe I gotta go to Gronk.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Let me see the connection we have.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
So thank you Hoyer for That's not my favorite Gronk story.

Speaker 17 (40:14):
What is your favorite Gunk story? Twenty eleven, your second year.
It's the last game of the year. We've already clinched
the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
We're beaten.

Speaker 17 (40:21):
It was Buffalo, right, this is a great We're being
Buffalo and they're monitoring the tight end receiving yard record
with you and Jimmy Graham.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
Yes, and the Saints game had finished.

Speaker 17 (40:31):
You needed like four more yards, so they put Robin
and they put him in at receiver and they're like
looking like I get the play call and they're like, look,
Gronk needs four yards.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
He's gonna grow good with him.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
And I was already pulled. We were whooping.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
It was yeah, you already out in Buffalo's by I.

Speaker 8 (40:44):
Mean, we had we sealed the deal. We're going to
the playoffs. We have you know the number, I think
one seat. I'm sitting on the bench and Billy, we
gotta get this record, get Gronk back in the game.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
We're getting this right.

Speaker 17 (40:55):
We were like running, we were like taking knee, like
we gotta get in. So they called to play and
Rob has never played receiver before, and they're like, look,
just put him out there.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
He's gonna run a five yard hitch.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
Get the record. Move on.

Speaker 17 (41:07):
Well, they pressed you, and so in football with a hitch,
you can't run a hitch versus press. It converts to
a fade. And I'm looking out there. I'm like, I
don't even know if Rob knows this rule. And all
of a sudden, the ball snapped and I'm looking and
he just put his hand up.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
I lofted it out there.

Speaker 17 (41:22):
Instead of a five yard catch, it was like a
twenty two yard fade route.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
It's got the feed in.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Broke the record.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yes, let's go.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Without Hoyer, there would be no ground.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Should we hit the wheel, Hit the wheel, hit the wheel, wheel.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
O soft, Oh, A little harder, A little hard, A
little hard, little hard.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
It's greased up a lot of w D forty.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
All right, where's he gonna go, Where's he gonna go?
Where's he gonna go? Where's it gonna go? Oh? Ames
and names yack, What is this one?

Speaker 15 (42:01):
Brian and David, each of you got to give me
the greatest game of all time, which.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
I'm going first before he steals it, and you guys
already hit it. The twenty eighteen AFC Championship Game twenty eighteen.

Speaker 17 (42:14):
I played for fifteen years and I'm not even a
pick in a game that I stepped on.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
The field that was electric.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
You hit on it.

Speaker 17 (42:20):
It was cold as shit. It was us against the world.
We didn't like Kansas City. They were trying to knock
on the door against our dynasty. We go into overtime,
big plays from both of you. We were joking about
it the other day when that ball almost tipped your pinky.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Definitely hit my hand.

Speaker 3 (42:35):
And I'm sitting there every time, every time I'm at
the airport, I see a Kansas didn't hit your hand.

Speaker 1 (42:41):
I look at him. I go, damn straight, dude.

Speaker 21 (42:46):
I was watching that on the big screen.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
I was like, all this, it did not.

Speaker 1 (42:50):
It did not. I don't know, but guys, I don't
think so. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
They zoomed in.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
We've really picked the next goddamn play. It doesn't matter.
That's right.

Speaker 18 (42:58):
That did not get called back though, was that at
the all side?

Speaker 1 (43:01):
No, No, you're thinking of the other one. The other
one to me, Yeah side.

Speaker 21 (43:07):
I remember he threw the pick and he's like. I
was like, you know, I'm so mad. I thought, he goes, no,
he's all sides.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
I saw it.

Speaker 5 (43:13):
I was like, no, I did.

Speaker 18 (43:14):
You wouldn't have thrown an eight yard route if you
knew the guy was right, you would have thrown it deep.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
Yeah. One of their linebackers, he was lying. One of
the linebackers came up to me and I saw I
didn't see the flag. I'm sitting there, and he said,
good luck next year, Bud. I was sitting there and.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Taking all my I'm a poor loser if you guys
didn't know. So I'm over here like, no, motherfucking this guy,
and thank god we got that. What's your favorite game? Uh,
greatest game of all time doesn't have to be a
game you played in one that you think that any game.

Speaker 21 (43:42):
Greatest game of all time.

Speaker 18 (43:44):
It's easy and it's such a cop out for us
as the twenty sixteen Super.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
Bowl twenty sixteen twenty eight to three.

Speaker 21 (43:51):
Yeah, and for me personally, it was really cool.

Speaker 18 (43:54):
My uncle was the head coach of the Falcons when
I was young. He took him to their last Super
Bowl before that nine. So, like I grew up a
Falcons fan, wanted to go to Atlanta. They wouldn't really
sign me coming out of college, and then New England did,
so I had a lot of bitter because they fired
my uncle wouldn't sign me and I and I was

(44:16):
an Atlanta fan growing up, and I was like, you know,
so to beat those guys and how we beat them?

Speaker 2 (44:24):
To hell with them? You know, like.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
So basically you're telling us fuck Atlanta, right, I still.

Speaker 21 (44:34):
I got a Georgia hat off, you know.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
I mean, but hey, I just tried to get that.
I was just trying to get the crowd going, yeah,
you know, I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 21 (44:40):
I just to beat that team, beat them that way.

Speaker 18 (44:44):
I mean, no, that's never maybe that Red Sox versus
the Yankees, like that's a great comeback, but like that's
a it's a different sport.

Speaker 1 (44:52):
Baseball.

Speaker 21 (44:52):
There's multiple games, like twenty eight to three in one game.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
Three is crazy.

Speaker 18 (44:56):
I remember watching this year's Super Bowl and everyone's like
Chiefs could come back.

Speaker 21 (45:00):
I'm like, they're not coming out.

Speaker 18 (45:01):
Like that was such a special special and the game
how we weren't getting beat we were beating ourselves.

Speaker 21 (45:08):
That's what gave us confidence to come back. So that's
never gonna happen again.

Speaker 18 (45:12):
I don't.

Speaker 8 (45:13):
And David, since it's your favorite game of all time,
can you give a little glimpse to the fans out
there what went down during halftime?

Speaker 18 (45:19):
Yeah, this is always my favorite question because everyone expects
it's going to be like a miracle speech.

Speaker 21 (45:24):
You had Julian trying to give.

Speaker 18 (45:26):
That speech, and every you know, everyone, it's just because
he's going to be a hell of a story.

Speaker 21 (45:31):
He was miked up, so he was just trying.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
To give it.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
A hell of a story trying, but I don't know
hell of a story.

Speaker 18 (45:39):
I don't know if you remember this, but what I
remember from that game at halftime is, you know, it's
a longer halftime, so it's very different. But Josh comes
in the whiteboard and he wrote forty four plays or
forty five plays, whatever the.

Speaker 21 (45:53):
Time of possession is, make it count.

Speaker 18 (45:56):
And it was like, at a moment for me, I
looked at that and it kind of clicked, like, do
we've ran forty five plays and one half of football?

Speaker 1 (46:02):
That's a lot. You averaged sixty.

Speaker 18 (46:04):
Yeah, you average sixty in a game. I think that
was the record for the most plays. We ran ninety
nine plays that game. It's the most record of a
Super Bowl plays.

Speaker 21 (46:13):
And I'll just remember that. And I do remember Bill saying,
twenty eight points.

Speaker 5 (46:18):
Are not going to be enough going to win.

Speaker 21 (46:19):
They're not gonna be enough. And I was talking to
Bill this offseason and he goes, he goes.

Speaker 5 (46:24):
I did say that.

Speaker 18 (46:25):
But when they scored thirty five, he was like, I thought, fuck,
he goes, he goes, he goes, He goes, like that
might be enough to be or whatever it was. He's
like that that might be enough to beat us. And
but like there was no big miracle speech. I think
we knew as a team. Like offensively, you look at
that game. We threw the pick on their side of
the fifty, We had the fumble on their side of

(46:47):
the fifty, and I think Steven missed the field goal
on their side of the So those three scoring opportunities,
it wasn't like we were going three.

Speaker 21 (46:54):
And out every play.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
Now we were driving.

Speaker 18 (46:56):
Yeah, we had a lot of success, we just weren't
capitalizing on it. So I think walking into the locker room.
It was more about us than it was about them,
and it's those weird sayings. Bill said, Right, there's games
you play where you're not in control of the score,
but you're in control of the game. And I feel
like that was the perfect motto of that game. We
weren't in control of the game or the score, but

(47:17):
we were in controlling the game.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
Well, how about that?

Speaker 3 (47:23):
Twenty eight to three. All right, we gotta move on
now to our next guest. Let's give a round of
a plot for David Andrews.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
Thank you guys, fighting harder than.

Speaker 8 (47:34):
Check out the Quick Snap podcast I want to say

Speaker 8 (47:49):
All right, and as you guys know, we got a podcast.

Speaker 2 (47:52):

Speaker 3 (47:55):
Yeah, and our missions basically go out and categorize the
baddest dudes in the world on what kind of dude
they are.

Speaker 8 (48:01):
And right now we're gonna give you some examples what
types of dudes on dudes they are, and we want
to hear what you guys think. Does that sound good?

Speaker 5 (48:10):
All right?

Speaker 1 (48:10):
All right, let's start out with category one.

Speaker 3 (48:12):
The freak? Who are some freaks? Guys, give me some
freak too. A freak is someone who walks in. You're like,

Speaker 21 (48:34):
He's a freak.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
Have you guys ever seen that man? His hand literally
wraps around to my elbow. All right, let's get on
to the next one. Studs. If you guys go to studies,
who's the studs?

Speaker 10 (48:48):
Studs?

Speaker 3 (48:49):
Someone who's been the guy their whole life? They had
washboard dabs at loround, well rounded, well rounded guy who's
God give me.

Speaker 8 (48:57):
Some is top ten. Here we got Dante high Tower,
biggest caps in.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Football, Joel Burrow, he's just not just a great player,
very good looking as who.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
Else is the stud who's our last stud o?

Speaker 3 (49:14):
Joe Sinko race to stud he did race the stud

guys that reinvent themselves all the time, Guys that are
like intellectually X and O guy.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
They always they're smart guys. Who's a wiz out there?

Speaker 8 (49:28):
Those the game inside and out knows everything? Could be
a coach coach Ballichack, of course.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
He's a wiz.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
Who else could be a win and knows more football
than coach? Who we got?

Speaker 8 (49:39):
We got smart guy went to Stafford, win to Stanford?

Speaker 1 (49:44):
Who else is a whizz guy?

Speaker 2 (49:45):
Play receiver?

Speaker 1 (49:46):
Huh smart? Smartest football player they've ever gone? Oh?

Speaker 8 (49:50):
Oh, coach? Well, he's a rigs intelligent, clutch innovative.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
What's another category, rob, dudes?

Speaker 5 (49:58):
Dudes?

Speaker 8 (49:59):
Is what the dude's positive attitude? Calm, cool and collective
brings the team together?

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Blue guy?

Speaker 3 (50:06):
A blue guy who is that wet? You always need
a guy you could bully all the time.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
And he was very bully of bull and he brought
the team together for that. So he was like a
blue guy. Who else do we got? Baker Mayfield?

Speaker 5 (50:20):
Mayfield?

Speaker 1 (50:21):
You want to drink a beer with Baker?

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Right?

Speaker 1 (50:23):
Everyone wants to drink a beer with Baker Mayfield? Who
who's our last guy?

Speaker 2 (50:27):
We got a sola?

Speaker 3 (50:33):
I always ask him, why are you wearing sunglasses at night?
The guy looks at me and says when you're cool,
it's always Sonny. I mean, he's just a.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
Blue type of guy. And finally we have the dog
of the team.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
What are the dogs?

Speaker 8 (50:47):
Someone who was relentless, someone that's motivated, a guy that
is physically and mentally tough and never gives up no
matter the long rise of the pony?

Speaker 1 (50:55):
Who are some stuff?

Speaker 2 (50:56):
A bath stole?

Speaker 1 (50:58):
Who he's a dog? Tom Brady's a box.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
Here was another dog? I read read read, yes, animal.

Speaker 3 (51:07):
He knocked me out of a game. Once he's a dog,
he could cover the hook. Adam gonna tarry, gonna tarry
snow huh m hmm. Wait, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Jules?

Speaker 1 (51:20):
Wait, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (51:21):
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Huh? You know what happened? What happened?

Speaker 2 (51:25):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (51:26):
What's one?

Speaker 22 (51:45):
More?

Speaker 1 (51:45):
Another?

Speaker 10 (51:46):
More?

Speaker 1 (51:46):
Another guy?

Speaker 10 (51:49):
Three?

Speaker 7 (51:50):
Two?

Speaker 1 (51:52):
One?

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Flashed off?

Speaker 10 (51:55):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (51:56):
Another more?

Speaker 10 (51:57):
Another more?

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Five?

Speaker 22 (52:00):
Are more?

Speaker 10 (52:07):
What more?

Speaker 4 (52:08):
Last one?

Speaker 1 (52:09):
Last? One?

Speaker 2 (52:10):
Four?

Speaker 4 (52:11):
Three?

Speaker 1 (52:12):
True?

Speaker 8 (52:18):
Hey preacher, Preacher, ladies and gentlemen, welcome you doing man,
starting point guard of the Boston Celtics.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
Pagan Preacher.

Speaker 1 (52:35):
I wanted though it's hard to depth prospection, it is different,
it's different. What's going on?

Speaker 18 (52:40):
Bro?

Speaker 21 (52:41):
I much appreciate you all having me?

Speaker 1 (52:43):
What's this haty preacher?

Speaker 5 (52:45):
Mm hmm, All.

Speaker 8 (52:48):
Right, before we get started, what's the key to making
a half court shot?

Speaker 2 (52:51):
I see you out there all the time. Just toss
it up, swish. It's a lot of big deal.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
It's a lot of luck. Likeractice this you practice never.
I feel like it's just being in the moment.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
You're adrenaline.

Speaker 23 (53:03):
You guys probably know at certain moments you just kind
of out of a different experience.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
I don't know, I can't explain.

Speaker 1 (53:09):
It, but yeah, but like you're almost like a kicker.

Speaker 3 (53:12):
They literally like sub you in when it's like ten
seconds to go in the half just so you could
shoot and you nail them.

Speaker 1 (53:18):
Like, yeah, you don't practice these No.

Speaker 23 (53:21):
I feel like Joe kind of earned the trust though,
because in practice, nobody would shoot him when we were
scrimmaging and stuff, and I would always let him fly,
and then like I would always get kind of close.
You really, when you're bed half court, you really shouldn't
be getting that close, Like it should be an airball
because it's like a hard shot, and I would get close.
And then a Game two of the NBA Finals, I

(53:42):
told him like we had like maybe two second stuff,
and I'm like, Joe kind of gave him that look
and he was like, all right, get in.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
I banked it in.

Speaker 23 (53:50):
Oh, but then the next time I don't know the
to switch it from the distance.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
That was a lot of luck, but yeah, a lot
of luck.

Speaker 8 (54:00):
Jeezy, how many three pointers you take a practice to
get to that level that you want to get to,
so when it comes to game time, it's just natural
and easy put it up and just swish it.

Speaker 23 (54:11):
I would say growing up though, definitely around like five hundred.
Nowadays three three hundred probably.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
Makes a day five hundred shots a day about three.

Speaker 23 (54:19):
I mean it changes now because it's more instead of like,
you know, doing a bunch of makes I do a
lot of high intensity twenty to thirty minute workout instead
of counting. So growing up those three to five hundred every.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
Day, that's incredible.

Speaker 8 (54:34):
It just shows that how much practice and how much
commitment it takes become just a natural at what you do.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Man.

Speaker 8 (54:40):
So five hundred shots a day is not easy to
do on a daily basis, man, And to do it
on a every day, every single week is just incredible,
And it just shows your work ethic as well, you
got any tips, Yes, give it a round the plus
for paying everyone for.

Speaker 2 (54:55):
What he does.

Speaker 8 (54:57):
But you got you got any tips on handles too,
because it's in credible your guys athleticism, your hand eye
coronation to go up and down the court. You got
a defender reaching for the ball all the time. You
gotta look what's going on down the court where your
teammates are to give them a pass. You got any
tips on dribbling and handling the ball? Because I like
to play basketball every once a while, but I can
tell you this my drills, my handles absolutely suck, but

(55:18):
I just love to do the drills to work on
my hand eye conation.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
So if you got any tips from me, I.

Speaker 1 (55:23):
Can put you to drills. Put them through some drills.

Speaker 8 (55:26):
What's what's what's the best drill just to get better handles?
Is it two dribbles at once?

Speaker 2 (55:31):
No?

Speaker 23 (55:31):
No, I always say just use one basketball and basketball. Yeah,
just to start off at least two dribble two balls
might be a little advanced right now.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
Now to do it to do a high speed all right,
I know you're an athlete, but it's tough, man, It's tough.
It can be tiring.

Speaker 14 (55:47):
M hm.

Speaker 1 (55:48):
We got to talk about this.

Speaker 3 (55:49):
You just got announced to being the starting point guard
for the Boston cell pleas.

Speaker 1 (56:02):
The Boston Celtics. It's a legendary organization. How does how
does that? How does that happen? And how do you feel?
Like do you take the pride in that?

Speaker 23 (56:15):
What's a high standard? So I better be ready for
the opportunity. So, uh, that's kind of where my mindset is. Obviously,
it's a long season, so things can change. Yeah, And
it's not like I'm a a waiver in my mindset.
So if there ever is a time I need to
come off the bench like that is okay. But obviously
starting and you know, filling the role of guys that

(56:35):
have left, like Drew Holliday, the people I've played behind,
So I've learned a lot.

Speaker 4 (56:40):
So I'm ready for the opportunity.

Speaker 14 (56:42):
Yeah, and uh, I'm ready to give it off.

Speaker 1 (56:44):
Look at that great answer, great answer.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
But what's it like putting it on that Celtics jersey?

Speaker 23 (56:50):
Oh, it's incredible. It's incredible. Like you said, it's like
a historic franchise. I grew up watching them. You see
the Laker Celtics when you got Larry Bird, Magic Johnson.
That's when it started. So, uh, you know, just being
a kid and then coming to play for the Celtics.
Is it's a crazy world.

Speaker 2 (57:07):
We live in.

Speaker 1 (57:07):
But definitely I'm sure it's just.

Speaker 23 (57:09):

Speaker 3 (57:31):
Something like how is he at practice? Does he bring
in like a town clip or something to fire you up?
And like have him and Ben Affleck doing line?

Speaker 23 (57:39):
I mean he does, he's the things he has is
to do is like you know, obviously do army stuff
like that. Stuff's all fine, but it's really his like
certain comments. Uh, he's obviously always joking. It was actually
one of this one. I don't know if I should
really say this, but uh, there's a song you know,
don't get comfortable.

Speaker 1 (57:56):
Yeah, yeah, you know talk about he's a Yeah I
played this at my wedding.

Speaker 4 (57:59):

if you can say to his wife, that means he
can say it to you.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (58:10):

Speaker 13 (01:13:04):
I mean, if you know Mike Rabel and Vince, you
can attest to this that you knew he was going
to be a coach.

Speaker 5 (01:13:09):
You knew he was going to be a coach. I
mean just the way he approached the game. You think
about it. You know, he picked up on the office
of playbook.

Speaker 13 (01:13:16):
Even though he had a few plays and gets a
lot of credit for scoring touchdowns, the routs, wasn't that
goddamn good though, I.

Speaker 5 (01:13:22):
Mean they wasn't they wasn't that great.

Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
But you know, he had a.

Speaker 13 (01:13:28):
Sense about the game, man, and then he brought everybody together,
and for Mike, like one of my the things I
remember him most. It's not as a player. I'm gonna
keep you one hundred. You know what Mike did when
it was cold?

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
Oh what is he doing?

Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
What are you doing?

Speaker 5 (01:13:46):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
Shot up?

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
Always shot up?

Speaker 16 (01:14:00):
Y'all know about Corvus Vaka. Yes, hey, Corpus vodka. Right now,
this is the number one selling vodka. We fastly growing
to be the number one vodka New Weekend thanks to
you guys. But Mike Rabel, I know he doesn't do
this to his players, but Mike Rabey, I'm gonna tell
on his ass right now. Every time it was cold,
Mike Rabel had a flask in the locker room. So

(01:14:21):
the defensive guys, we'll go out to get a little warm,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 13 (01:14:25):
So you always had to take a shot, and that
was Mike Rabel. So that's my favorite memory of Mike
Rabel was like, you know, he got us warm.

Speaker 5 (01:14:33):
So it wasn't like it used to be. We had
to drive the practice.

Speaker 13 (01:14:36):
Bro like these little kids like Pop Warner, I mean,
Locker Girls Stadium wasn't shit.

Speaker 5 (01:14:44):
For damn, but we had to drive over there.

Speaker 13 (01:14:46):
So we always had Mike Rabel had to drink, you know,
of course, whatever it was, whether it was vodka, whiskey
or anything else.

Speaker 5 (01:14:54):
But of course it's vodka now Corvus vodka.

Speaker 13 (01:14:56):
Everybody, let me show you all the bottle bottle real pineapple.

Speaker 5 (01:15:02):
Hey, what's god damn dunkin donors? I know they're paying y'all.

Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Yeah, cove.

Speaker 4 (01:15:10):
Drinking little tropical.

Speaker 13 (01:15:12):
Hey, I drink dunking on us every day, So we
gonna give them some love to But yeah, let's take
a shot shot of clock.

Speaker 5 (01:15:16):
Everybody. Everybody shot a clock to the Patriots dyn to see. Hey,
the shocking arrowy.

Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
In first ballot.

Speaker 13 (01:15:28):
Hall of Famer coming up, Rob Brownkowski, that's all you pro?

Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Hall of Famer?

Speaker 7 (01:15:33):
Ki Law.

Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
Yeah, well that's good. I taste that pineapple? Yeah yeah,
they say, what what's pineapple? Good for?

Speaker 1 (01:15:46):
Real pine Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
It's just a theory. Okay, it's just a theory.

Speaker 4 (01:15:51):
Out is it true?

Speaker 1 (01:15:52):
I think so?

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
I think so we'll find out tonight.

Speaker 4 (01:15:58):
Hot pineapples.

Speaker 10 (01:15:59):
Which wait a minute, man, you about to go to
the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 8 (01:16:06):
Huh man, you're getting inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
Yeah, they already what was When are.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
You getting inducted?

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
I think against Pittsburgh the third week of September. These
guys Gronk will be in there.

Speaker 3 (01:16:27):
But I want to know what's the most pissed you
two have ever seen Coach Belichick?

Speaker 5 (01:16:32):
Oh my gosh, man, I mean that's daily daily.

Speaker 3 (01:16:37):
I mean, because I don't see him ever getting mad
at defensive guy's person.

Speaker 11 (01:16:41):
You always I've never seen a love defensive guys.

Speaker 5 (01:16:47):
Bill Bill.

Speaker 12 (01:16:47):
Bill would cut us, especially when we used to play
teens that was tough like Pittsburgh Ravens. And even if
they wasn't tough, but the Jets.

Speaker 4 (01:16:59):
Those weeks will be hell for us.

Speaker 12 (01:17:02):
I mean it would be hell, not only to the
defense but the team because that's how bad and that's
how much he wanted it, right, So we would always
know his energy coming in started the meeting.

Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
We know it.

Speaker 12 (01:17:17):
But one of the funniest stories I have about Bill
being pissed at me, my rookie year right, and you
know rookies we do jokes and.

Speaker 5 (01:17:26):
All this stuff. So our first meeting in training camp
as a team.

Speaker 12 (01:17:33):
He called the rookies up to do a joke. So my, my, my, guys,
we was rebuildings. I mean, we just didn't care. I mean,
we was like, we're not we're not telling no jokes,
We're not man whatever. So we went up there we
got booed tye. We got booed o his ass. And

(01:17:53):
the next day at practice.

Speaker 5 (01:17:56):
We was warming up and we normally run over and run.

Speaker 12 (01:17:59):
Over and come back and that would be aving, we'll
break up. But that day we ran over, we came back,
and he stopped everybody from running except for the rookies.
This is before practice were rookies. We really don't know
what's going on. So he just blow the whist and
say take off. So we keep running and he just

(01:18:20):
keep doing it, take off, keep going, and a team
they're just waiting.

Speaker 5 (01:18:25):
It's nothing but rookies running. So eventually I looked over
and I got a little smart.

Speaker 12 (01:18:31):
I'm like, only the rookies running like So I looked
the bill and I'm like, why are we running? So
he smiled, he said are you ready to practice now?
So I said, f you, we've been ready to practice.
That was the first day of practice for a rookie.

(01:18:54):
Ty would tell you, ty, how.

Speaker 2 (01:18:56):
Good were we?

Speaker 4 (01:18:58):
How good were my rookie class? How good were big
as marquis?

Speaker 5 (01:19:04):
Here?

Speaker 1 (01:19:05):
We got you?

Speaker 5 (01:19:06):
You ain't getting ain't nobody in your.

Speaker 1 (01:19:08):
Class with my ask you?

Speaker 12 (01:19:10):
Well you so you're gonna play like you forgot when
you when you when you jumped the gate running front
the cops.

Speaker 5 (01:19:17):
What you said, rookie? What no you said like whooping
ass on football?

Speaker 4 (01:19:23):
No, ain't no, bob, the jokes you're talking.

Speaker 6 (01:19:26):
About the joke?

Speaker 5 (01:19:27):
Oh yeah, they got me on that. When they got
me on that, that was funny.

Speaker 13 (01:19:30):
I thought you was talking about footballers outside of you.

Speaker 5 (01:19:32):
I don't know who your class was. No, So we
we did a we did a prank. Oh yeah, that did.

Speaker 12 (01:19:37):
We more tied out and when my ass out, we
redeemed ourselves so good.

Speaker 4 (01:19:43):
Yeah, left us alone.

Speaker 5 (01:19:44):
I mean we came the next day. I was the
butt of the joke that I was.

Speaker 12 (01:19:49):
And you know those days, just remember as a rookie,
just everything we've been through, and you know the guys
that was veterans and stuff and what we had.

Speaker 5 (01:19:59):
Uh, it was special, and we we didn't realize that.

Speaker 12 (01:20:02):
Now we're retired, so we can take a breakface and
look back and see how good we were and exactly
like what we did a lot of times, we have
no clue when we were playing the game of what
we accomplishing.

Speaker 5 (01:20:17):
The only thing we are trained to do is play
football and win.

Speaker 2 (01:20:20):
And we did a lot of that.

Speaker 5 (01:20:23):
We did a lot of that.

Speaker 13 (01:20:25):
Y'all have to get shaved. You get ball head wrong.
They shave your head the vest that tradition study.

Speaker 8 (01:20:33):
And then I dragged James Laurenis in the end zone
with the mohawk, my rookie year.

Speaker 5 (01:20:37):
Oh yeah, and oh yeah, I'm a badass.

Speaker 1 (01:20:40):
They gave me the friar tuck.

Speaker 13 (01:20:43):
I jumped out the window over the door with Brian College.
I jumped out the window. I was like, you know,
I was one of them guys. You can't cut, you
can't cut the head, jump out the window, man. They
stole all my ship out my room man, and I
can't beat what Willie McGinnis, Bruce Armstrong and those guys
who had to.

Speaker 5 (01:21:00):
I had to take one for the team and just
go ahead and suck it up.

Speaker 3 (01:21:03):
Well, if you didn't want to shave your head, you
had to do an eyebrow. If you had guys that
had dreadlocks they.

Speaker 1 (01:21:07):
Didn't want or long hair they didn't want to cut it,
they'd have to cut off their eyebrows or fight or
in the dB.

Speaker 5 (01:21:13):
You don't want to fight the big guys, or you
got to.

Speaker 1 (01:21:15):
Fight the big dog ty.

Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Now I've seen some of the cut ups of Bill
getting mad at you. Can you explain one of them
that sticks out to you of a time where coach
may have m f you for something.

Speaker 5 (01:21:29):
Or I think me and Bill we seen differences on
doing it. Like I like to do things my way,
he liked to do things his way.

Speaker 1 (01:21:37):
How'd that go?

Speaker 5 (01:21:39):
It went on, It went in my favor because I
was not going to change how I did.

Speaker 13 (01:21:43):
You drafted me where I got drafted when you when
you was it yet first of all?

Speaker 5 (01:21:48):
And I said, until somebody beat me.

Speaker 13 (01:21:50):
And I was just that I wouldn't recommend young guys
don't listen to me with this ship, don't do it.
But you know, I was able to, you know, kind
of be myself and then eventually let me be myself.
So it was an instance where he would tell, like
a Sante Samuel, don't do this shit, they said, because
when we're going back to doing it my way. I

(01:22:13):
just never got beat. So it was like one of
those things. But Bill, he used to always try to
at first because he's a coach. You know, when I
come from college, I used to have a low stance.
I had to have my fingers hitting the ground, which
is not great technique, but that's what I was comfortable with.
And he said, as soon as I get beat, you know,
we're going back to doing it in my way. But
we would always have these back and forth, just like
I had parcels, you know. Par Sales would tell me, Hey, Tyler,

(01:22:35):
you're gonna be the first first rounder in the NFL
history to get cut. And then my dummy, young guys
don't do what I did. I said, well, hell, do
what you gotta do. You already gave me a million six.

Speaker 2 (01:22:49):
I can tell you this, I followed your path man too.
I was just being myself when exactly right.

Speaker 8 (01:22:54):
And I could tell Coach Ballichick at first it's like, ah,
you know, he's got a lot of personality.

Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
He's doing a lot of that, he's doing a lot
of this.

Speaker 8 (01:23:01):
But I can tell you this, if you go out
and you perform on the football field, and Coach Belichick
really loves that personality. He doesn't like when you're loud
and you're proud and you're making a lot of noise.
But if that's truly you, and you're bringing it to
the table and you're bringing it to the team and
you're balling out on the football field. Then he's like, Okay,
it's working, let's amp it up a little bit. And
it's kind of went with you, kind of went with myself.

(01:23:22):
It kind of went with Julian big v with you too.
If you're balling. Coach Blichick loves you and you can
do your thing and be yourself, no doubt about that.

Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
He knew how to push them buttons, though, he did,
you do how to push it out?

Speaker 1 (01:23:32):
How do you push your button?

Speaker 5 (01:23:33):
So he would Bill he used to push the defensive buttons.

Speaker 13 (01:23:36):
Remember he used to come in and like one of
my favorite teammates to this day, Rodney Harrison.

Speaker 5 (01:23:41):
You know you got everybody love Rodney Harrison.

Speaker 13 (01:23:44):
He's supposed to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
So I want to put that out there too, so
y'all make it loud. Probably Rodney Har's supposed to be
the Pro Football of Fame.

Speaker 5 (01:23:50):
But what he used to do, Rodney playing for San Diego.
He's coming in. We not even playing fucking San Diego.

Speaker 13 (01:23:58):
He want to show Rodney Harrison film, that's how you're
supposed to play.

Speaker 1 (01:24:01):
And he's out on the team.

Speaker 5 (01:24:02):
He's out there on the team and we ain't playing it.
So Bill's basically comparing us to Rodney Harrison. So imagine
when Rodney got here and like, I said, that is
my brother.

Speaker 4 (01:24:11):
I love him.

Speaker 5 (01:24:12):
Man, I'm like, that's my boy, But I ain't like
that mother. I couldn't stand his ass.

Speaker 13 (01:24:20):
Because of what Bill Belichick. He thought so highly of
him that he's going to show us. But guess what,
when you watch that film and you watch that boy play,
it's like, man, he made you elevate your game to
stuff that that man did on the field. He couldn't
You couldn't do nothing but respect him. But at the
same time, Bill knew what that was gonna do to
us is piss us off. And we're like that Rodney Harrison,

(01:24:40):
we don't know da. A couple of years later, he's
on our team and he made our team better.

Speaker 12 (01:24:45):
And Rodney had a mindset of a defensive like a
defensive linement.

Speaker 5 (01:24:50):
He was just me. He loved contact, he loves that, and.

Speaker 12 (01:24:54):
He would talk and he would he would come down
as a safety. He would come down and be Ronald
Line of Scrimmas making plays. So it's how he carry himself.
For me as a defensive line is seeing my safety
come down here getting off the power with me.

Speaker 5 (01:25:09):
I'm like, I can rock with this guy. You know.
I fell in love with him, and he can and
he can cover just as well as he can tackle.

Speaker 13 (01:25:16):
So if you're going down in the Fox over, you
won't Rodney Harrison, which you all, Rodney? And another thing
of supporting stat that people teen to forget about. You know,
everybody like the the great ray Lewis thirty sacks, thirty picks.
He's the only player in NFL history to have that. Yeah,

(01:25:36):
he's one of two players. The only other player that
ever did that accomplish that feat to this day is
Rodney Harrison, and Rodney did it.

Speaker 4 (01:25:44):
Hall of Fame. He should be all right, man, I
got to pick a bone with you.

Speaker 2 (01:25:50):
Man.

Speaker 8 (01:25:51):
Oh you remember when you gave me my Welcome to
the NFL moment?

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
Head?

Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
What can you experience? Why don't you can you explain?

Speaker 4 (01:26:00):
I've heard about it.

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
I talked about it many times.

Speaker 8 (01:26:02):
Whatever podcast interviews you get, they're like, what's to welcome
to the NFL moment that that you receive drive? And
I'm like, oh man, this one will always stick with
me from my whole entire life. So I was a
rookie I was a young buck and I wanted to
prove myself. I'm blocking a lot. That was kind of
my specialty as a rookie, and they wanted to see
how tough I was.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
So they called a wamblock. A wham can you.

Speaker 8 (01:26:30):
Is on the tight end and Vince Wolfork's the defensive
tackle and I'm whamming the defensive tackle. They're gonna let
the defensive tackle free and no defense whoa like, who's
gonna block me?

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
I'm free. I'm gonna go right to the quarterback.

Speaker 8 (01:26:44):
But the wam block is a tight end comes from
this side and just blind sides the defensive tackle.

Speaker 2 (01:26:50):
And they called this play for me.

Speaker 8 (01:26:52):
In practice my rookie season, and I'm blind signing Vince
Warfork and I'm like, I gotta show my toughness. I
got to show my respect, you know, to the veterans.
I got to get the respect from the veterans. I
gotta show him what I'm all about. I'm not backing
down in this situation. I'm having a great camp so far.
I'm blocking all the defensive ends, all that good stuff.
But they wanted to see if I had the balls

(01:27:14):
to block Vince Wolford so I motioned him going at Vince.

Speaker 4 (01:27:19):
His eyes are up.

Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
I'm like, I got him. I got him.

Speaker 8 (01:27:21):
All of a sudden, Vince looks at me. He has
a big grin on his face, puts his shoulder down.

Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
I gave it all I had. Boom, he lit me up.

Speaker 8 (01:27:31):
I went flying backwards six yards. I will remember that
hit for rest of my life. And I remember coach
Brian ference. It was the welcome to moment NFL for me,
and I knew no one else was ever gonna hit
me that higher ever again. And Brian Farrence in the
meeting room after we reviewed the play, goes, yeah, you
never blocking Vince.

Speaker 12 (01:27:48):
Wolf, I ain't never doing that. And the crazy thing
about it, and I don't know if you notice, and
not a grunt. So I'm in my stands here and
Bill is back. Then he said, Vince, wow, wow. Bill
told me to play. So I'm like, mind you my job,

(01:28:10):
you know my job. The sinners hit the guarden guard
and I got to play and then and I'm like no,
So soon he hiked the ball, I went straight to Gronk.

Speaker 2 (01:28:21):
I swear you had a friend, like, honestly, I tell
you this.

Speaker 5 (01:28:26):
And that was the moment.

Speaker 4 (01:28:28):
I knew we had a great player, because.

Speaker 12 (01:28:33):
I knew right then and there how tough he was,
because he walked back to the hole, and everybody know Gronk.

Speaker 5 (01:28:39):
This was his walk.

Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
Him.

Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
That was Gronk.

Speaker 12 (01:28:48):
So I'm I'm sitting in the hallway and I'm looking
to see if I see him do anything of quincident.

Speaker 1 (01:28:54):
And he never did.

Speaker 12 (01:28:55):
He just got back in the huddle and ain't breaking.
I knew then we had a great player on our hands, and.

Speaker 2 (01:29:03):
Thank you great he proved it.

Speaker 20 (01:29:06):
We'll be right back after this quick break.

Speaker 3 (01:29:09):
All right, Jules, Hey, is it time to determine what
kind of dudes these guys are?

Speaker 8 (01:29:13):
Yes, it is back to our patented dude questions and
our patented questions.

Speaker 7 (01:29:17):
Guys.

Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
We're gonna give you guys a quick hitting questions. We're
gonna take our notes, and then uh, we're gonna determine
what kind of dudes you guys are.

Speaker 2 (01:29:25):
Is all right, all right, all right, all right, I'll
start it off. Jewels.

Speaker 8 (01:29:28):
You guys can both answer at the same time or Vince,
you can go first time, you can go second.

Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
But what's the most you ever benched?

Speaker 1 (01:29:35):
Most you bench pressed?

Speaker 2 (01:29:37):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:29:38):
Bench pressed?

Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
Wait, like, where did the six hundred two pounds come from?

Speaker 5 (01:29:45):
So that's what they told me six oh two?

Speaker 2 (01:29:47):
Like, why not six oh five? I have no, I
have no six. Where was that at Universe in Miami?

Speaker 5 (01:29:54):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
Yes, six?

Speaker 1 (01:29:56):
He is on the board.

Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
Yeah, since I've never seen a stronger guy in my life.
You used to just walk in the weight room, literally.

Speaker 8 (01:30:02):
No warm ups, put up three eighty five on the bench,
do it three times.

Speaker 2 (01:30:07):
And Tyler strength coach, I'm done.

Speaker 5 (01:30:09):
I'm done.

Speaker 1 (01:30:09):
I'm done. I'm done.

Speaker 2 (01:30:10):
I left it enough done.

Speaker 5 (01:30:12):
You wrapped that out.

Speaker 4 (01:30:13):
Yeah, three eighty five and I'm like.

Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
He just walked in in my in my and just
at four.

Speaker 12 (01:30:18):
Hundred three my last my last two years of playing.
I would I could rep full five eight times and
three fifteen I mean three sixty five, like fifteen or
something like that.

Speaker 5 (01:30:32):
I have video for now.

Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
I understand why I want to flying backwards eight yards?

Speaker 4 (01:30:36):
Yeah, what about you?

Speaker 12 (01:30:37):
Ty I was I think it was three sixty five,
three sixty five, that's week.

Speaker 4 (01:30:43):
I would have made up a number for it.

Speaker 5 (01:30:46):
But what I what I do at the combine though,
I still had.

Speaker 1 (01:30:49):
To recommend how many twenty two twenty two?

Speaker 5 (01:30:52):
That's five. That's good for dB. It's really good. Twenty five.

Speaker 1 (01:30:56):
All right, I got the next question.

Speaker 2 (01:30:58):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (01:31:00):
All right, if you were a car, what kind of
car would you be? Big V will start with you.

Speaker 12 (01:31:04):
Man, I'm a Lincoln, old school baby, old school Lincoln, Lincoln,
old school.

Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
Lincoln, Lincoln. Think those things are long, yeah, big old boat. Durable,
But they're durable, durable.

Speaker 5 (01:31:18):
Heaven you you ain't gonna believe this, man. But I'm
a pick up guy. Man, I'm gonna pick up Trump,
I'm gonna Chevy gmc man. I drive a pickup guys. Yeah,
a little Tacoma. No, hell no, ain't no, damn. I
got the big dog.

Speaker 21 (01:31:33):
Six point two.

Speaker 1 (01:31:34):
Yeah, six point two, okay six?

Speaker 11 (01:31:40):
All right, Big V and Tide. What does it mean
to be a patriot? To be a patriot?

Speaker 2 (01:31:44):
And are you guys patriots for life?

Speaker 13 (01:31:46):
Look, I'm a I'm a patriot for life. I want
to say something now maybe y'all.

Speaker 4 (01:31:50):
Well, hey, now.

Speaker 5 (01:31:54):
It is it is a business. But what it means
to be a patriot is that we built something here,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 13 (01:31:59):
So coming there and starting at the old Foxboro Stadium
when I got drafted, I ain't gonna lie. I No,
I came for a visit before I got drafted. I
was sitting there like, what the hell I thought? I
was getting drafted a bat d alla pup. But I'm like,
God damn, look at the stadium. Is this the pros
I'm coming from the University.

Speaker 5 (01:32:16):
Of Michigan, so, you know.

Speaker 13 (01:32:18):
But for us to be able to build what we've
built here and started off and you guys continuing on.
Of course, we had the great the goat, the greatest
of all time, Tom Brady, for twenty years.

Speaker 5 (01:32:29):
We started something.

Speaker 13 (01:32:29):
Because I always wanted to be a cowboy in the beginning,
because my uncle's Tony door set. They were with me
at my draft party and they were gonna take me
at twenty eight. They were sitting there to take me
on the plane. And at the time I was ready.
Of course, you losing money every time you slip back.
But God damn, but when the Patriots picked me, I
was so happy. But at the same time, I remember

(01:32:51):
that damn visit. They put me at the end Zone.

Speaker 5 (01:32:53):
Y'all. Y'all remember the Zone hotel on Route one. Y'all
couldn't put me up in the.

Speaker 13 (01:33:00):
Marriott something Red Ruth something. But you know again, it
means a lot because we started this shit. It's like
I said in the Hall of Fame. You know we
started this.

Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
Show in a nutshell. It's because you built something. That's
what it means.

Speaker 5 (01:33:13):
Yeah, I mean, and I still live here to this day.
You know what I mean. I ain't going nowhere. I'm
New England all day.

Speaker 1 (01:33:19):
Built something.

Speaker 14 (01:33:22):
Big, b.

Speaker 1 (01:33:24):
What does it mean to be a Patriot to you?

Speaker 5 (01:33:26):
I mean I can't summon up enough.

Speaker 12 (01:33:28):
I mean the legacy that we left and we built
not only as players, but with the fans and the
community behind us. Because you have to understand, I grew up.
I grew up a Buffalo Bills fan, So I knew
how crappy, Oh trust me, I knew how crappy the

(01:33:50):
Patriots was.

Speaker 5 (01:33:52):
I knew.

Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
We all know that, but thanks Vince.

Speaker 2 (01:33:55):
Right, So, but the Bells were pretty think about it.

Speaker 5 (01:33:58):
Oh they sucked.

Speaker 12 (01:34:01):
To be able to go two decades and do something
in two decades that probably won't be done again. Fact
that tells you right there where New England papers stand.

Speaker 5 (01:34:13):
Okay, hands down.

Speaker 1 (01:34:16):
I love that.

Speaker 14 (01:34:17):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:34:20):
