A comienzos de junio, el presidente Gabriel Boric anunció que respalda una propuesta para decretar un embargo de armas contra Israel. Pero su postura a favor de la causa palestina no es nueva, y ya había tomado varias medidas para tratar de presionar al Gobierno de Benjamin Netanyahu, sin dejar de condenar los ataques de Hamás.
