Speaker 1 (00:00):
M Hey everyone, it is between prec and you are listening.
(00:37):
I up here with you on the iHeart Reading Network
or where reading the podcast as always at move on
like your face you look like you need to caffeine.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
I'm dragging right now. It's been a long, long weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Yeah, you had a lot of softball activity. I did.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
It's been this has been a long weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
But I.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
Love it, love every minute of it. So three games,
three wins.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Nice, congrats. Well today is Sunday. While we're recording, my
Eagles pull down another wind. We are four and o
super excited. But they have me sweating every week to
the point where when they post their their victory picture,
they put on the caption says exhale because they know
(01:29):
they're giving the fans a heart attack. But yeah, we
won and really good game. So happy wearing my one
of my many Eagles shirts fly was Fly Always and forever.
I'd bleed green. So that was my Sunday. Had a
nice glass of wine, had a little bit of pizza
(01:51):
gone in the gym, which was nice. So I'm feeling
all right, very nice. Yeah. Big Brother ends tonight, so
I have to watch the finale. See who wins. I'm
going with Morgan. I don't know if anybody else is
listening that watches Big Brother, but I think Morgan's gonna
take it all. And it was a good season. I
(02:15):
don't know. Now I'm watching I have so many things.
I'm watching the Challenge, I'm watching the Amazing Race, I'm
watching Survivor. I love my reality shows.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, that's a hefty lineup there.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
I got a lot. Yeah, my DVR is pretty packed, so.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
It's pretty good that you can make time to watch
seventy seven hours of wrestling.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
So I watch my shows from DVR when I can.
But I did make it a point to sit down
and watch aew all out. I watched from the beginning
to the end. Now, I didn't watch the pre show,
so I don't know anything about the pre show, but
(02:58):
I thought it would be fun if we discussed it. Now,
you did not watch, but you said you've seen a
lot of clips and read about it and whatnot.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
I've seen enough.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
I watched everything, and I will go on record and
say that this pay per view was so much better
than the WWE pay per view that they just had
Russell Palosa.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Okay, I mean, I from what I saw it definitely
had more elements of I guess fan interest, because.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Well, Russell Pulu has only had five matches. This one
had four hundred and seventy six matches over a span
of twelve thousand hours, so there was more variety on
the ae W pay per view. I thought, as far
as just you know, okay, the one thing that I
(04:01):
will say between the two companies that I noticed a
lot more by watching all out they work so much
stiffer in AAW than they do in WWE. There were
so many matches that I was like, oh my god,
that guy is so stiff, Oh my god, that girl
(04:24):
is stiff, Like you can tell that they were working
really snug, whereas I feel in in WWE they tend
to I hate to use the term take care because
I know a lot of the guys in the back
will say lay it in, hit me hard, blah blah blah.
So I you know, I'm not gonna say that AAW
(04:45):
doesn't give a shit about you know, their workers, and
everybody goes and is for themselves and just you know,
shoots on everybody. That's not what I mean. It just
looked to me like they worked so much stiffer than
wwe did. Everything was just tight. It got to the
(05:10):
point and we'll talk about it where I even thought
a couple matches went way too far and I was like,
oh my god, and listen, guys, I know I come
from ECW, and you know, back in the day we
were supposedly the blood and Guts company. And I don't
(05:31):
know if it's because I've matured and I'm older and
I'm wiser, but there were a lot of things that
were done. I feel like maybe for shock value that
really didn't need to be done, but it made my
jaw hit the floor and I was like, WTF, what
is happening with this company? So with that said, we
(05:54):
can go over the results. So the first match, besides
the Tailgate brawl, like I said, I didn't watch that,
so I started off with cage and Cope or.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Cope before we even before you say that, yes, you know,
the Tailgate stuff brawl whatever. I mean, they've you know,
they've they're very much, very like they're tied into their
pre shows.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
They love the pre show, pre show, pre show.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I couldn't think of anything more unnecessary than the amount
of people they put on these shows. But Samoa Joe
is now lost on something like their pre show.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
Yeah, he was the opening match.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Yeah, And it's like, man, it's like, you know, you've
got so many people, and I know samo Joe's at
a point in his career where maybe it's he doesn't
care where he's at on a card, but you're You've
got so much stuff going on on your show that
even Samoa Joe doesn't make your quote unquote main show.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
And I just go back to something and again.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
This is maybe just stupid at this point, we haven't
even started talking yet, but these guys that leave WWE
because they're so upset about their spot and why they
don't love WNWW didn't push me, WW, didn't do this
and that. But then I see a guy like Samojo's
on the pre show opening match on like a nine
hour show, It's like, I'm like, what is that? But
(07:21):
maybe I'm just not clued in as to how the
aw structure is, so that's just me looking at the
results and seeing something.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Odd like that.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Yeah, I mean, at least he was the opening match,
because you want to start off with a hot match
for a hot crowd, right, the crowd's waiting, they want
to see who's coming out, and Smojo is a big name. Yeah,
so you know, I give them that that they opened
the show with him, but not being on the main card.
(07:54):
I'm with you on that one. I totally get it.
The house was huge, yeah, I mean this, this looked
just as good as, if not better than, a WWE
pay per view. They were right, Yeah, beautiful arena, lots
of people were there. I was very impressed with the turnout,
(08:14):
which I always am with aew Again, it's like when
they talk about their TV compared to their pay per views.
People turn up for the pay per views, but for
the TV t things, it's like where is everybody? You know?
So I don't know if they're using smaller buildings at
this point. Some of the clips I saw from TV
looked better, so maybe they're not in those bigger buildings anymore.
(08:37):
I mean, they just completed a residency at the arena
right in that building I think holds what twelve hundred
people or something like that. So that's what you call downgraening.
But who cares. If it's small and they're hot, that's
good TV.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
Yeah, no, I agree with that, But this tail, I
mean it's Tailgate Brawl, Simojo and Powerhouse Hobbs defeat The
Workhorseman Tailgate Brawl. Daniel Garcia defeats Katsiori Shabata, who's a
legendary name. AW Tailgate Brawl, Hollo Graham and Paragron, Roderck
Strong and Kyle O'Reilly defeat the Frat House and then
(09:21):
AW Tailgate Brawl, Tailgate Tornado Match. Will Nightingale, Queen Amanata,
Harley Cameron and interim ROH World TV Champion Mina Shirakawa
defeat Julia Hart, Sky Blue, Meghan Bain and Penelo Penelope Ford.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
This is even before the show starts.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, and I would have liked to see that last
match with the girls, just because I like to see
how the girls are working. But I didn't get to
watch that, So maybe I can go back and find
that somewhere. But again, I started right at the beginning
with Cajun Cope against f t R. You know, for
(10:04):
the betterment. Uh, they're kind of turning Christian Babyface, but
he's still being, in their words, an asshole.
Speaker 6 (10:13):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
The word asshole was on the h the Jumbo Trot
on screen or whatever you want to call it, which
I popped for it was pretty funny. I thought the
match was good. I I got a pop, it gotta
pop out of me. When they brought out Adam's wife,
(10:34):
I don't know if did they call her Beth Phoenix.
I think they did.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
The Beth okay.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
I don't know if she's under any deal, if this
was a one night thing, or if they're going to
bring her back, but she she came out at the
end and they gave her like a pile driver and
left her laying as Adam was handcuffed. She the ring
poster wherever he was. I think it's setting up something
(11:07):
for the future, so I think we're gonna see her
again in the mix. But it was nice to see
her because we haven't seen her in a really, really
long time, and I did not expect her to run out.
So overall, I enjoyed, you know, I enjoyed the match
for what it was. This fur there's a storyline obviously,
(11:29):
and then the next match Eddie Kingston and Big Bill.
Let me tell you how over Eddie Kingston is. They
love him, and apparently this was one of the was
this big match that he came back. He was out
for a while.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
And He's been out for what seems like forever, but
I think all the time eighteen months or something, but.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Forever.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
They went wild for him, and I can see why.
He is like the working class man. He represents every
guy that's in the audience, you know what I mean.
He's just this street, tough, ass kicking guy, and I
think people relate to him and he just he just
(12:15):
comes off as just a normal guy. He's not built
like an Adonis, you know, not built bad, not built
like you know, he's not a Lex Luger or anything
like that. But he's just like a hardcore street fighter,
and I think that's the appeal. And of course Big
Bill's the heel. And you know, this was a fun,
(12:38):
fun little match with Eddie going over. Didn't have any
problems with it. I think the next match this was
you know, it's not like I've never seen thumbtacks before,
but they were everywhere. A lot of the times you
(13:02):
see like them pull out one bag of thumbtacks and
they put it in like a circle in the middle
of the ring. They do a couple of spots, they
had thumbtacks everywhere. It's like they just get pulling bags
of thumb tacks out, and you know, they were in
their head like the hairline, their their scalps in the back,
(13:23):
and their arms and their elbows. I had one thumbtack
go into my thumb and I managed one time and
I hit the you know, I used to hit the
hit the mat to make people clap or cheer or whatever.
And when I went down, my thumb went right into
one thumbtack and I thought I was going to die.
(13:45):
It hurt like a mother trucker. So these guys, I mean,
I just I don't know, call me lame. I just
thought there were too many thumbtacks.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
You know what.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
Hang on, this is actually the best shot give you
of the Tax. You got to see this one. This
is unbelievable this shot.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Look at this.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
They're everywhere.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I mean, it's almost covering.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
The entire logo of AW that's how many tacks there are. Yeah,
I mean an mjf's crotch is covered in blood. There's
so much blood from the tax. And like you're saying,
you hit your hand and you're like, geez, man, what
the hell you know that little prick of your finger.
(14:32):
It's gonna listen a lot of little little droplets of blood.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
Well the blood one mjf's pants is from Mark.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Right, But I'm saying those little pricks of the tack, Yeah,
pull those bad boys out.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
There's a little that trickle of blood keeps coming. That's
not like those things are no joke.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
I would have preferred, like I said, if they brought
maybe one two bags out and just put it in
a corner and did their spots that they needed to,
like all over the ring. It was just too much
for me. I don't know. And also I thought the
placement of this match was completely off.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Yes, I agree with that early.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
In the night for stuff like this. I was always
taught that you build up to the blood, you build
up the stuff like this. You don't give it to
them early because then where are you gonna go? Right?
I just thought this placement was ridiculous and this match
should have been later in the evening on the card.
But again, what do I know?
Speaker 4 (15:29):
How about the referees attire? Did the referees in ECW
get dressed drastically?
Speaker 3 (15:39):
I don't blame him because going down to count, like
I said, one thumbtack in my phone was enough for
me to pass out. This guy's gotta keep going on
his I hope you have nee pads on going on
his knees and counting. There was there was a thousand
million thumbtacks in that ring. It was way too much,
way too much for my opinion. In my opinion, mother,
(16:01):
But again, I think everybody liked it. I think they
were chanting, this is awesome. And you heard that chant
a lot throughout the evening, so I think everybody went
home pretty happy with this pay per view. I didn't
mind this match. I just thought it was a bit
a bit too much, too many thumb tacks. Would have
(16:23):
preferred a couple bags in a corner. But again that's
just me. So the next match, this disturbed me more
than the tax.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Oh my god. I mean like, this is yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
This one. I was just like, wtf. This was a
coffin match. Okay, I get it. There's two coffins, one
on each side of the ring. Totally understand. You got
to stuff your opponent in the coffin and slam it down.
We've seen this before.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
I used to love when the Undertaker had these matches.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
It was against Darby Allen. John Moxley is victorious. Oh
my God, Yes there was Okay, there was a spot,
and I forgive me because I saw the pay per
view a week ago, so I'm trying to remember off
(17:15):
the top of my head. But there was a one
spot where there I don't know what kind of weapon
they were holding it. Was it a fork, was it
a knife, was it a screwdriver? I don't remember what
it was, but they used it and I was like,
he's gonna poke him like once and then throw it. No,
(17:38):
he poked him to where there was a huge hole
in his head and the blood just started and I'm
looking at the screen. My husband's just shaking his head.
I was like, Wow, this was some abby shit, you
know what I mean, Like this, but he was like
boom boom, blood and I was just like, oh my god,
(17:59):
Like how many times is he gonna like he's just
going for blood at this point? You know what I mean,
Darby Allen, I don't know how he walks because that
guy was thrown around like a rag doll and the
bumps that he took were frigging crazy. I don't know
(18:20):
how he walks. And then they did a segment afterwards
in the back where well, and you know what, they
used again. They used a frigging plastic bag, which I
can't stand. They they did it again. Instead of removing
it off his head, mocks ripped it open when no
(18:42):
one was he could have just taken it off his
head and then he ripped it open, but you know
they do. He took and see bumps, He took some
crazy bump into the coffin, and the coffin dent it
like I mean, you could just hear the thud and
it just I don't know how the guy walks. I
(19:03):
really don't. And and when he's older, he's gonna be crippled.
In my opinion, he was being bounced around like a basketball.
I mean, you you gotta watch this. I mind that part.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
And it's like, but it's everything in the kitchen sink.
They stab each other, they try to suffocate each other,
and now we're ltting each other on fire, and then
they're just like going back to the desk, like what.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
What are we gonna do? Like, oh my gosh, it was.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
I don't know. I mean Darby Allen's small in stature
compared you know, he's a skinnier guy. He's built more
like you know, one of the looches. Maybe the bumps
he took. I I was just on the edge of
my chair, like, oh my god, this guy, how is
this guy gonna get up from this? And he just
(19:51):
kept getting up and getting up and getting up and
getting the shit knocked down him and getting up and
getting the ship knock down. He's good. But I'm telling
I think he's on the young end. When he's older,
I don't know how what kind of life he's going
to have, because good Lord, and it's not the first
time I've seen him take bumps like this, Like he's crazy.
(20:15):
He's shoot crazy with his work ethics.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
And the other thing too.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
The other thing too is Pock is now back and
he's won for a long.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Time, and he got his hair cut and he looks.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
He looks a thousand times better I think with that hairstyle.
But yeah, Pak is back, and he's had visa issues
and hasn't been able to come back to the United
States and get another person for the roster.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Yeah, no, I didn't mind seeing him back. He got
a big pop, you know, and I do like his hair.
I will put that over, but I just I don't know.
It was kind of like it disturbed me. And again,
maybe it's just my age or maybe I don't. I
just I thought it was too much. But the crowd
(21:01):
loved it, and I'm sure you know the AEW tried
and truce loved it, and and that that's another thing
that makes ae W different from WWE. You know, if
there is blood, they're gigging underneath the ring or underneath
(21:21):
the announced table or something. They're not physically showing as
far as I see. And you can correct me if
I'm wrong, but this is just like murder.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
It's trying to get to murder. No, that's exactly what
it is. And it's just crazy because I don't get
why it's just accepted at this point as this is
the counter program means a WWE like, Okay, we said
we're gonna be different, and we're gonna be This is
how we're gonna be different. We're going to literally try
to kill our opponent's value. And that's you know, makes
(21:58):
ECW look tame to a degree, and we look back
on it, Okay, yeah, it was twenty five years ago.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
It's some capacity, right, some of the stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:08):
So if it's thirty years ago and you go, well,
you know what, oh, it's tame at this point. No,
it's like, well we knew the line between where to go,
we're not to go and you guys had new Jack
for yeah, love of god.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
Yeah, I mean it kept my interest. I'm not gonna
lie because I wasn't about to turn it off. I
was like, Okay, I need to see who goes over.
I need to see who wins. But it was a lot.
It was a lot, you know, I don't know, but
I mean they both worked really really hard. Not taking
anything away from them. The crowd ate it up. They
(22:42):
loved it, but me, not being used to what they do,
I was just like, huh, what is happening? You know?
So call me an old funny dudy if you will,
but it was h it was crazy. That was That
was a crazy match right there. The next one, I
(23:03):
believe was the women's World champion. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Uh another multi person.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Well it was a match.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Let it tell you every match is multi people in it.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
It was. There were four contenders and this was a
good match. These girls work their asses off. This was good.
This kept my interest. Don't you like Tony Storm?
Speaker 2 (23:26):
I do.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
I think the Yeah, it's a great character, but it's
just every everything is a multi person.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
You know, you do your, you do.
Speaker 4 (23:35):
You, then I do me, then I step out, and
then you come in, and then I'm here, and then
you're there, and then I'll be dead for twenty minutes
and then come back into fall Sea and it's it's like,
it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
This worked. This one worked, and your new champion is
Chris Statlander, who got a huge pop when she got
the belt. So I enjoyed this one. It was the
first time I saw, uh thecla is that how you
say her name?
Speaker 2 (24:06):
I think so, Yes, that got knew.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
I think she's new to aw She looked like she
was stiff as shit. Everything she did looks stiff to me.
And I could be one hundred percent wrong, but she
looked like she was killing people. She looked like I
owed you money up to get the money. But I
love this match. I thought this was This was one
(24:31):
of the better ones of the evening. Jamie Hayter love
her hair. Hadn't seen her in a while. She looked great.
I don't know. Uh, Tony Storm's makeup was very different. Yes,
this one, it was kind of it kind of reminded
me of a mine.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
I think that this was supposed to be a little different.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
I think even the.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
Gear was supposed used to be a lot very.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
Reminiscent of the spot from a few weeks ago where
she was getting stapled, So I think that they were
kind of playing off of.
Speaker 5 (25:09):
That, right, it could be wrong.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
It was red gear, yeah, white shear and then but
her makeup looked like it reminds me of like a
mime like once I do this.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
You know, yeah, yeah, I'm very familiar with the mime culture.
But there was a Tony Storm's quote for all Out
was trim your bushes, bitches, because we're all we're.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
About to go all out.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
She's great, so like, yeah, it's a great character.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
But then they had her doing that weird like dumbfounded
smile at the end after the celebration was going on.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
It's like, is she crazy? Is she stupid?
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Like is she just making us all like dumb? Like,
I don't I don't get it. I don't understand where
they go with her. Sometimes she becomes obsessed with everybody
that she challenges for challenges her, you know what I mean.
It's a weird take on the character.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
I thought the girls did great in this match. It
was very, very entertaining. I liked it a lot, and
you know, it was up there for me. So getting
into the next match, We've talked about ladder matches a
lot and how we thought maybe I think it was
(26:28):
the TNA one that missed the mark for us. This
one was done right. This match was a four way
ladder match, and you're gonna say to yourself, okay, four way,
there's so many people. This one did not look cluttered
at all.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Four times four.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
They did this correctly. For me as a fan watching,
it wasn't so many people learning that you could and
keep track of what was going on. Uh. I thought
the timing, the in and outs were perfect. Some of
the spots were just so good. It was at the
(27:16):
end with the bucks and Jack Perry making the return
and then he's now a babyface and Lucasaurus coming back,
which got a huge pop, and they put on their
the old music for Jack Perry, jungle Boy, and and
it got such a great reaction. I like Jack Perry
(27:37):
better as a heel, and that's that's just me. But
the fans were eating the stuff up, and I don't know,
I'm a big fan of speedball. Mike Bailey. I liked
him in TNA and now he's you know, he's been
in a w for a little bit and he's so good.
(27:59):
You know who I'm talking about. Do you like him?
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I mean, he's all right.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
You know, I've.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Done my cup of tea with that kind of work.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
But I mean, yeah, you know, it's killing me.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
I just don't like that.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
It's just never been my kind of wrestler. I don't know,
but that's every wrestler.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Now he's good, but he's great. I mean, nothing's to
watch for me.
Speaker 3 (28:22):
I really really like him. But yeah, it was I
don't know if you if you like ladder matches, this
one was a good one. I enjoyed this one a lot.
And then the next segment was the one we just
talked about with Darby Allen and John Moxley. And then
the last match was one of the best matches in
(28:42):
the card. Hanging in out Him Page defeated Kyle Fletcher
and this is the first time I've seen Kyle Fletcher
work so freaking good. The two of them together, I
don't know if they have a history, but it looked
like they have been working together for tour years. It
was phenomenal, such a good closing match. So overall, I
(29:09):
enjoyed this pay per view. I thought it was great.
Just a couple things kind of got me like ooh,
and I explained what they were. Just I thought it
was a little too much, and I thought the placement
of some of the matches were wrong. But otherwise this
roster can go.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
Absolutely lots lots.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Of talent in that aw locker room. So just my opinion.
But I thought it was really good and I will
sit down and I will watch more from them.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
Yeah, what's crazy, too, is that doesn't include a lot
of the RH roster that we did see, Like there's
that much more in terms of the people they have,
Yeah employed that you know what is too many?
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Too many?
Speaker 4 (29:57):
But look at this, I want to say you this.
This is taken from a fan of Ringside.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Just look at some of.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
This raw video of some of the spots from the show.
Some of them the raw video exposes maybe things not
hitting so well.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
The other showing the impact of how just stiff some
of the stuff they did on this show was.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Yes, yeah, this is a video taken at ringside.
Speaker 7 (30:24):
Oh okay, this is the match that I didn't see yeah, nice.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
Look at that.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Look at that. I'm telling you, I says, ready, that
is so dangerous right there.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
They were so good, They were so good. Yeah, they
were so good. And I'm telling that Kyle Fletcher, he's
good man.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Now, let me ask you this hitting on that part
of the table like that is not the part of
the table you want to hit right there?
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Am I right?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
The dead middle?
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Like, no, he's not on the middle, he's on the end.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Well, he's in the middle of the table though.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
That you think he's still breaking the middle of the table.
It looks like Fletcher is not even going to make
it through the table.
Speaker 5 (31:24):
The way he's going to fall through looks like Hangman is,
but not.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
Hangman's breaking it with his knees, but Fletcher looks like
he's just gonna get dumped.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Well, I don't know if they gimmick their tables like
WWE have done. Underneath these tables, there's a metal bar
that goes directly across the table, and a lot of
the times in WWE, they would remove that metal bar
right to make it easier to break, and then you know,
(31:54):
you don't see it sticking out. I don't know if
AW removes that bar. So if that bar is still there,
you have to be careful not to get like in
the middle of that because that you're not going to
break the table, you know what I mean, Like pull it,
push it through, push play and see how the table breaks.
(32:20):
So he got it on the end, but still in
the middle of the table, towards the end of the
side of the table. Now I couldn't tell if there
was a bar in between it or not. Looks like
there is maybe.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
Just a frame.
Speaker 5 (32:40):
Okay, yeah, it's hard to tell.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
It's hard. Yeah, but I mean I don't know. That
was a dangerous spot for sure, because what if they
missed the table and his head just rammed into the
into the floor, even though there's a mat of some
kind on there, you could still break your neck, right,
you know. But these two were they were so good together.
(33:05):
I enjoyed. That was one of the ones I enjoyed
the most. It's really really good.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
Yeah, I mean I saw this stuff, you know, the
night it was happening being shared, and you know, and
I when I started digging into it, it's just like
you said, it's just very stiff, and I like that.
I like it, you know, I mean it's old school,
but I just don't want these guys to be crippled
and God forbid, you know, and their careers prematurely because
(33:34):
of something silly.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
I mean, that's it's a possibility for anyone to do
that in wrestling, because even if you're protecting yourself, accidents
happen all the time. We've seen that in the past,
and you know, there's been deaths from it and people
crippled and whatnot and hurt. And I just feel like
(33:59):
I understand that guys want to be over, you know,
and they want to do as much as they can
while they're on top. I get it because when I worked,
I had the same kind of mentality. Now, not comparing
myself to what the guys do, but in my mind
frame was I'm just gonna take as many crazy bumps
(34:21):
as I can and you know, people are going to
remember me for it, which is the truth. But now
I'm fifty three and sometimes getting out of bed is
a challenge, you know what I mean. And I didn't
even do half of the stuff that the guys did,
(34:41):
and I don't know how most of them are walking around,
you know. Yeah, so yes, they are putting their bodies
on the line for our enjoyment. But when twenty years
go by, are they going to be able to have
a fulfilling life, to be able to move? Are they
going to be able to get on the floor and
(35:02):
play with their green kids? You know what I mean?
Like they're good now. We always said we're rock stars,
We're blah blah blah blah, nothing's going to bother us,
blah blah blah blah blah. And then you know, when
your career starts to come to an end, it's like,
oh my god, I can't even enjoy my life because
I can't move. I don't wish that for anyone, you know. So,
(35:24):
I mean, if they keep up the way they are
doing now, it's going to be rough when they're older.
Nobody wants to hear that. I didn't want to hear that.
You know, you hear it from somebody. Shut up, you
don't know what you're talking about. But I've lived it.
I've been there, and I as much as I hate
(35:46):
to admit it, those people were right, you know.
Speaker 5 (35:51):
So.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
I don't know, not knocking the company. I think aw
is awesome. I think they're doing damn good work. I
just there's just a couple of things I think are
a little too much. But and if you're going to
do it, put it towards the end of the freaking card.
(36:12):
Don't give it to me in the beginning, in the
first hour or so. Make me wait for it, make
me want to say, when does match I want to
see blood? Don't give it to me match number three?
Whatever the hell? It was good call, That's what I'm saying.
But I would give that pay per view an a.
(36:32):
I liked it. It beat Russell Paloosa.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
I like that, it was funny.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Did you see the posts about ESPN giving Wreussell Palosa
and Raw like D's and F's.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Yeah, they hated it.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Oh boy, that's not good.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
What a partnership up good?
Speaker 2 (36:56):
That's not good for business.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Oh yeah, Well, you know, I didn't think Russell Polus
was awful, but I didn't think it was their best presentation.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
No, not by any stretchy.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
No, it was. It was enjoyable to watch. It was fun.
But again, I just and I know the aw show
is a bigger pay per view, like it's one of
their bigger pay per views. I get that too. I
guess comparing them isn't fair. But just as a fan watching,
I enjoyed the aa W pay per view more than
(37:31):
I did ah ww a. So that's just my two cents.
So that's that nice. Okay, Yeah, it was fun. And uh,
I don't know if there are any pay per views
coming up that I need to watch.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Let's see, We're.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
Watch. Yeah, I gotta watch TNA. I want to see
in a couple of weeks, Bubba and Devon go at
it with the Hearty's.
Speaker 4 (37:58):
We gotta Oh, I'm all in for that one.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
That one. No, I'm all in for that.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
That contract signing they did on TNA Television was phenomenal,
So yeah, I'm all in for that.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Awesome. Okay, Well, what do you have to plug? You
have anything going on?
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Yeah? I do.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
