Speaker 1 (00:00):
M hey everyone, it is the seeing the training cran

(00:35):
scene and you are listening to eyes up here.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
With cran scene. We NEI are failing network or where
the podcast. There's always some goings by my Kohu's chad.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Oh I got on you got them birds.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Birds one another one today?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Filming this on a Sunday. Every time I watched the Eagles,
especially this season, I have had ojeda because it's never
like we're gonna win by a million points. It's always
down to the wire, you know what I mean. Yeah,
they're always making me sit on the edge of my
seat while we pulled it off. So we're five and
two and it's a good game. It's a really really

(01:14):
good game. So I'm very happy right now. I feel good.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Nice. That's a good feeling for the football fan. The
team wins sets the pace for their next couple of days.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I liked it. Yeah, so I'm in a good mood.
How about you. Did you have a good weekend?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Oh it's been a crazy weekend. Let's see two four.
I've had six softball games in three days, so really,
really really really tired of a softball field just about now.
I actually felt the most dirty today of any day

(01:54):
I've ever played, because there was just wind blowing dirt
at us and it was just incredible how much I
was like it was where we were fighting and getting
the dirt in your mouth. It was nasty. But yeah,
six games in the last three days, and man it
is it has been a journey, to say the least.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
But I'm sure and the weather's been beautiful, so at
least you have a good weather to play in. But
when do you stop, Like, how much longer do you.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
So we got about i'd say a week or so
of the regular season and then one or so extended
weeks into November, so you know, getting down the home stretch.
Fall ball is interesting because you know, again, like I said,
it's beautiful weather right now, but it can be cold
and it could be miserable. Luckily no rain, knock on wood.
But yeah, about I'd say about two weeks left and

(02:47):
then look, do have winter workouts, We do have some
like winter tournaments indoors, so it's not done yet. But
like the every day, three four times a week that
is coming to a close in the next two.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Weeks, gotcha, gotcha? Well, you need a much needed break
because every time I talked to you, You're like, oh,
I'm going here. Oh I'm doing this, I'm doing that.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
So I have been all over the northern part of
Virginia in the last three days. I mean like three
different counties, you know, like all different So if it's yes,
six different teams, I mean, it's just crazy. It keeps
on going. But hey, we're trying to get that next
generation ready.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
To you know, they say Virginia is for lovers, but
I say Virginia is for softball.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yeah, no, got gab. We got great programs there.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
You go. All right, Well, you know I was able
to and I know you did as well. I was
able to watch Tenn's Bound for Glory. I was away
on vacation with my family, but as soon as I
got back, I watched it. It took me two days.
It was a long one.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
It's like four hours. This took a while.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Well it's a bit, it's the big one, you know
what I mean. Yeah, but let me let me just
start by saying how great that building was.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
I loved the way it looked, just the way uh
you know, the seating was arranged. I love the entrance way.
I think they are improving every every pay per view.
It just keeps getting better and better. I don't know
if that's a w w E thing. I don't know

(04:30):
if it's an anthem thing, but all I know is
I like it, and they are just looking more and
more professional every time I watch them.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yeah, I agree, And I said this going back to
the whatever first show, we started really digging into them.
You see the influence, and it's it's gaining heavy, heavy
momentum each show we watch. This one I thought was
for the positive because you reflect it in the audience. Yeah,
a crowd in a high building, and it just it

(05:01):
had a great feel to it. So there's yeah from
a from that point of view, I mean, right out
of the gate, it was solid.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah. And and you know, i'll give my overall grade
at the end, but man, did I like this show.
I really really enjoyed it, you know. And we'll go
over the matches, but I can't stay. There was like
one match that I thought was the complete shits, and
I usually think there is one on every card. I

(05:30):
didn't think anything was bad on here. Yeah, you know,
every everything was good. I didn't watch the pre show.
I'm notauris for not watching the countdown show, but I
think it was just the not the Outs World Tag
Team Championship match. And then they had the Mickey James

(05:53):
and the Beautiful People be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
So I didn't watch that part I started.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Which I'm sorry interrupt. If you wanted to really see
what the building looked like, just wait till they panned
the crowd and you'll see exactly what seat thirteen C
looks like because for whatever reason, the director called for
crowd shots when there was nobody in the building. Yet
they showed you everything in the kitchen sink, they showed
you where the peanut guy was going to be setting

(06:20):
up during the show. That that was one not so
strong point of the night in my opinion, on the
grand scheme of things.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, did you watch it or did you just like
see pictures and stuff?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
I saw the Oh, I watched parts of the Hall
of Fame inductions, so I did not watch the match
on the pre show, but I watched the Hall of
Fame induction of the Beautiful People, and I did not
get a chance to watch the Mickey James Hall of
Fame induction yet. But yeah, the crowd shots and the
beautiful people induction. I was just like, well, maybe we
should have gone a little tighter. Okay, on who was
in the building versus the whole spectrum of the audience.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I agree it. You never want to see empty seats
in an arena, you know what I mean that some
of the shots on there. Uh and and again granted
it was before the pay per view actually started, but
the wide shots were hard to look at, you know,
but uh, let's see, Yeah it says it says right here.

(07:23):
The whole thing began at six o'clock and then Bounce
for Glory begins at seven. So with that, I'm sure
people were just walking in at this point. Not everybody
had their seat for that, but regardless, we had a
bunch of matches in the car. What was the first match?
Read off?

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yeah, let's start. Let me get and pull everything up here. Okay,
on sick, We've got The first match on the card
was Steve Macklin and Frankie Kazeria.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Okay. I sat next to Steve Macklin at Russell Khan
in Newark, the first time I ever met him. Nice guy,
good luck to him. Really nice Deanna? Uh, how do
you say her name? Brazo. Yeah, she's cute. I like
her a lot. That's her husband. I love Frankie.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Frankie is uh, you know, a vet in this business.
He's been around forever and let me just say, Frankie
can still go. I was so impressed with this match.
This was such a great, great match, Steve going over

(08:45):
and the title changed hands, which I thought was great.
I didn't know how much of Frankie Cazarian we were
going to see in this show, because it was a
lot it. Frankie has so much heat and he is
such a great worker. I just enjoyed this match a lot.

(09:10):
I really did. I thought it was great.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Yeah, I agree. The one thing that was great was
the callbacks to how AJ Styles gave the tribute to
Frankie Kazarian in his match against John Cena. Well, Frankie
Gazarian gave the tribute back to AJ Styles in this match.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
So one of my favorite parts of this match was
Steve's mom was in the audience and Frankie and her
were doing the jawjacking and I was hoping that she
would smack him, but again she just gives him the
double finger. And at the end, when Steve wins, he
puts the belt on his mob and they both give
the finger to the cads. Like, yes, it was cute.

(09:50):
It was really really cute. So I enjoyed it immensely.
It was really fun. Yeah, I would give that match
a solid B plus, solid B plus. Yeah, I thought
it was great. Next match it was Ga Miller versus. Now.

(10:11):
If you're not out of the TNA bubble and if
you're not familiar with like indies and stuff, many people
might not have known that Gia is a Strean's professional wrestler.
You know, you only see her in her interviewing role
in TNA. If you follow her on socials, you'll know,
because she's still very active on the indies. But this

(10:32):
was fun to watch because her character came out in
this dark uh kind of like I don't want to
say gothic, but kind of like just dark. It was
just a very yeah maybe so she looked fantastic. I

(10:56):
think she she looked like a million bucks. You know,
Tessa always looks good. Obviously, she came out with Victoria
Crawford like she always does, and I thought this match
was pretty entertaining. I think Gia could do a lot
more and I think maybe they were playing it down

(11:20):
a little bit because she's supposed to be an interviewer. Yes,
but in the prelude they talked about like Tessa talked
about her training under some job or guy, so it's
known now that she does have a wrestling background. I
just I wish they could have did a little more

(11:41):
in the match, But for what it was worth, I
think it extends the storyline, and I thought it was
pretty good.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Yeah, No, this was one of my favorites of the show.
I actually really enjoyed this, Okay. And it was George
South that she was trained by.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
No, she I believe Tessa was dreamed by George and
then she didn't she have to go to somebody else.
Wasn't that the whole catch? Oh?

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Is that what it was? Okay? Maybe then I got
it confused.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I might be wrong, but that's okay.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
But sova with Gea. So that was my criticism when
we originally saw this angle start, was that they were
treating it like she had been murdered and that she
couldn't take a bump and that she couldn't take a punch.
But she stayed competitive and it was a good match.
And yeah, she is a wrestler, So I didn't understand
why they were making it like it was this dastardly,

(12:34):
horrible attack on this interviewer when you know, and at
this point in the game, we know who's a wrestler
and who's not. So I hated that in the beginning
part of this angle, but I love the way it
was executed on the show. I think it was. It
was done very well. So this was one of the
matches I actually enjoyed the most.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Okay, so excuse me. Tessa was trained by George South.
The job or was supposed to be a guy named
Mike jack Oh action Mike Jackson. So yeah, so that
that's what it was. Don't come for me, people, I
corrected myself.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Yes, she corrected herself.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
And actually you were the one that was wrong.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Not me, you true, Yeah, it was me. Sorry, I
got who was training? Who is George South? George South
was quick, quick on the quick on the trigger.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
That was the promo. Now, whatever happens in real life happens.
But yeah, I liked it. Again. I hope, I hope
that's not the end of it. I hope this kind
of continues, and I hope Gia, like I just want
to see more from her because in my mind, is
Gia going to be a knockout now? And maybe Gabby

(13:44):
takes over Gia's place because they had Gabby doing some
interviewing as well.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Yeah, well she was introduced though as backstage interviewer. G
she was, so that tells me she's still backstage interviewer.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
But if this you continue, she's going to come out
again and rustle, So quite possibly we might see more
of her as ankout.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Possibly, and I would like because I loved Jaya.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
She's a doll baby. So yeah, I enjoyed that match.
I thought it was really really fun and I want
to see where where it goes. Of course, So anyway,
Tessa defeats Jaya. Of course, I I kind of knew
that was going to happen.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
This next match my most hated one on the show.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Now, this is one of my most favorites.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
I can't stand Gauntlet. Hate it for reasons.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
First of all, Okay, so it's money in.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
The bank, right with a royal rumble style like aspect
to it.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Kind of sort of yeah, they're they're they had to
make it different in a way, right, Well, tell me
what you hated about it.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
I don't like so, I don't like the the the mix.
I don't like the mix. I don't like the mix.
I don't like the competitors.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
And it's you don't like any of the competitors.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
I don't like some of them. No, I don't like
some of them in here. I don't feel like some
I think some being in here lowers their value.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Here we go again, and that.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
They should not be in here with some of these
other Jabbroni guys on the roster.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Okay, so Nick ne if Nick neath doesn't have a
place on the card because he's not in a big
angle right now or whatever.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Why why how do you not find anything for him?

Speaker 2 (15:43):
What was the finish of this match? I understand that
you don't understand that. You don't understand that because you're
saying he has no place in here. They put him
over this matter to get it.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
But how did before this, I know he's been in
a tag team with his brother.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
Brother they're doing the angle.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
How in God's name was there just nothing ever for
this guy as a singles.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
There's nothing right now for somebody who has named value?
Do you just leave them off the card completely?

Speaker 3 (16:14):
You would probably would you would.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Rather see somebody just sit in the back and do
absolutely nothing than be in a match, like a gimmick
match like this.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Well, somebody sat in the back wall. A YouTuber got
their spots. So somebody did sit in the back last
night that show.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Who was it?

Speaker 3 (16:31):
I don't know. I'm sure somebody in the TNA.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
Ros You're being ridiculous. Answer my question.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Somebody in the TNA roster probably didn't get booked for by.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
There's no proof that that happened. Number one, number two,
answer my question. Sure, Nick Nammath is my pencil. Yes,
he doesn't have a spot. Right, there's this match going on.
Would you rather him sit in the back or would
you rather him do this and get put over and
then advance of course storyline with Frank.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Yes, of course, because if he's in the match, he
has to win it.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Well he did, so what is your gripe?

Speaker 3 (17:07):
My gripe is just that he's in the match and
had nothing.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
So if he's not in the match, he's not on
the court.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
I get that. I get it.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
You don't get it.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
I do.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
You're dogging all over the place, You're you're poop pooing
as you say, do do poo poo taking a big
dump on this match, And I enjoyed this match. I
thought it was fun. I do feel the girls had
an unfair advantage in this particular situation, unless you're like

(17:39):
a Jordan Grace or a China or somebody who's built bigger,
you know what I mean. Yeah, like I do I
feel that. But I was happy that every girl that
entered got the spotlight and they shined, which was great.
You have to admit that.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Oh, absolutely, yeah, No, I just don't love the mix
of it. I just they should have their own gauntlet,
they should have their own things. Yeah, they got enough,
they should just have their own.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
And then it would have been four and a half hours,
and then they would have complained more.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
That I advocate. I mean, look, their tag titles match
still couldn't get on the main show in a row,
so I advocate for them to have their own match
on the show, doing the same exact thing. But again,
I just find it's so weird that guys like they
can't find something for Matt Cardona, Like they can't find

(18:33):
anything for him.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Is he even signed with the company.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
I don't know. I don't know that, but it's just
these guys that have these big names and these I
just when they get put into these matches, these plunder matches,
it's I just think it just it sucks. And then
you get the ten million comedy spots and I know
there's a place for that on this card, but it

(18:59):
just there's two many of them. Two and again the
YouTuber and then Santino. So where where do we have
to be in the comedy spot? Was it with the
YouTuber guy or was it with the Santino thing.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Santino announced at the end announcing two winners got one
of the loudest booze of the evening. The fans did
not like this finish, so they're like you, they were,
they were unimpress.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Those are two guys I would hey, I would have
picked the same two guys as the as the winners
if I could.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Okay, well, I thought it was entertaining. I'm not going
to say it was the best thing on the card,
but I enjoyed myself watching it. I'm not going to
do doo on it or poo poo or whatever, because
I found it to be entertaining and I want to
be entertained and I want to see a lot of
my faves in that match rather than not see them

(19:58):
at all. So I liked it.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
This is just a quick sidebar and this is nothing
about TNA. Have you seen the AI wrestling clips on
TikTok or Instagram? They get shared to Twitter too, Like
have you seen these at all? Where it's like Abraham
Lincoln fighting like Martin Luther King. Oh my god, Okay,

(20:27):
that's kind of like, you know what these Gauntlet matches feel,
just like the randomness of them just there. So, yeah,
you haven't seen any of those?

Speaker 2 (20:36):
No.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
I watched one the other day. It was so it
was Helen Keller versus and Frank Oh dear god. It
was so ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Yes, that's sad. No, I don't want to see that crap.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Gaid it was ridiculous. I didn't say it was quality.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Let's go to the next match. We had a TNA
Knockouts Championship match, Indie Heartwell versus Annie Jordan. I met Kelannie,
very sweet girl, might I add? I thought this one
was good. There's something and I don't know. I think

(21:20):
Indy Hartwell's very very good worker, but there was something
that was off in this match for me. I saw
her taking a lot of stutter steps. Do you know
what I mean?

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Okay, explain.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Running the ropes but then stopping short and then stuttering
up to where she's supposed to be. I saw that
done a bunch of times by her. It wasn't as
fluent as I've seen her work before. I don't It
wasn't that it was bad. It was just like slower

(21:58):
than usual for me. And maybe I'm completely off, and
maybe I have to watch the match again, but I
just remember watching this saying to myself, Oh, she looked
like she was thinking about the spot and she stopped
and then she kept going, or you know what I mean.
Like it was it was very very strange. I don't know.
But the spots that they did were wonderful. I think

(22:21):
both girls are really really talented, and I think they
worked well. I just I don't know. There were a
couple times I just felt like it was it was
off a little bit.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
I could see what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
I don't know, and there might be people who think
I'm horrible for saying that. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
I just but see. That's what takes me out of
a lot of the matches is because I see that
a lot, because it looks like there's always some shutter
steps before a lot of the moves that either they
seem to rehearse and they're anticipating them.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Well, that's it. She like it looked like she was thinking,
and she stopped to think, and then she kept going,
I don't and I'm not shitting on her. I think
I think she's wonderful. I really do. I'm a fan
of hers. I think she's got a great look. They're
they're both beautiful girls. I just noticed there was stop
and go during this match. Yeah, it wasn't the whole match,

(23:20):
just a couple of times, but they swearved me because
I'm like, oh, there's no way they're going to keep
this title on an NXT girl. And they did. And
so Jordan defeated Harwell and she retained the title, and
I guess we're going to see more of her in TNA.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
Yeah. Well, I mean, you know, we didn't say that
it was interpromotional NXT, you know, another one of these deals.
So you know, now the NXT girl has the belt.
So yeahs as it continues, I guess you know, the war,
the war wages on.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Yeah, I mean usually they'll give it back to them
on the big pay per view and that's where they
swerved me. I was shocked when she got the pin.
So I thought it was a good match, Don't get
me wrong, I just there. There were a couple of
spots that I was just like, ugh, what's happening? You
know what I mean? But overall very entertaining. And you
had our family that they said came in from uh

(24:20):
was it Australia. Yeah, so that was nice to see.
It's always nice to see them being represented by family
and friends. So that was nice to see in the crowd.
So I thought it was it was good. I thought
the fans were kind of dead in a lot of
spots though, Yeah, and that's that's terrible because they're you know,

(24:40):
you're working so hard out there and without again I'm
going to bring back the managers, without people on the
outside trying to you know, doing something like that, or
trying to get the crowd into it, You're just it's
you and your opponent, and it's it's hard to keep
them into do it, or to bring them into it.

(25:02):
You have to do like a super big spot to
even get ooh or or. So I felt bad for
them at one point because you could hear a pin
drop right. I was just like, damn, you know, the
match is better than that. So I don't know. I
thought this match was the least crowd participation in the paper.

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Well, I mean, and it was coming off the big
plunder match, so well, they had a lot taken out
of them in that that last match, so I mean,
maybe that could be could.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Yeah. I just I felt bad for the girls because
I I know, when you you know, when you lose
a crowd, it's hard to bring them back sometimes. But
they did. They you know, doing one big spot will
will help. But it was just it was kind of
like dead during most of the match. I don't know. Anyway,
it was solid. I enjoy it and they worked hard,

(26:01):
so I liked it. This This next match is up
there for my favorite. This next match. This is what
a W should have did with the thumbtacks. This is
exactly what I said when we reviewed the thumb tacks

(26:23):
with MJF and I have to cough hold on me.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Thumbtacks, thumb tack, thum thumb tacks of doom.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
I am going I'm gonna put Alicia over. That spot
was brutal. She's such a tiny little thing, and she
can go and she's hardcore and she took it like
a champ. But when she brought out the little bag
of thumbtacks, it was just in one corner of the ring.
And that's what I said before, When you put them

(26:57):
all over the place, it doesn't mean anything. Having them
in that one corner it was. It was perfect. And
kudos to her for taking that spot because I'm sure
a lot of girls wouldn't of But it was hardcore war.
It was ordered for versus the system. And again I said,

(27:17):
I don't like the system as baby faces, but here
it worked because I mean, you have a listen, a listen,
you have Lis Lish and her husband. They're from Boston,
Eddie Edwards, he comes out in a Boston Celtics gimmick.

(27:37):
You know, every everything's Boston to them. So this they
were baby faces to the umpteenth extreme. I still like
them as heels. I don't know. I even told Dreamer
when I saw them, I was like, turning back as
heels please. I like the system.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
They all had the Celtics gear, they all had the I.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
Know, but Eddie was the first one to come out. Yeah,
so you know, and he's hometown Boston, you know what
I mean. And they were in Boston and that's why
they all had the gear on. But that him and
List are from Boston, so.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
It was they were in Plymouth, you know. Is that
the outskirts of bostonkirts.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Yes, there you go. But yeah, this was so entertaining
to me. Lots of great spots back and forth and
the system went over on order for so I thought
it was fun. I liked it again the way they
they did the uh it was kind of again like

(28:36):
Royal rumble. Every I don't know how what what the
timeframe was. There's Alicia. Look at it. Look at her back.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
You remember you talked about your poke.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
I talked about one in my calm and I wanted
to die this poor eighty seven of them in her back.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Look at that. Look at that. That's at least twenty
right here.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
That's a great spot. Yeah. Now, in ECW, they never
asked me to do that, but if they did, I
would have did it, and I probably would have regretted
it after I hit the mat.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
But like you said, if you look at the corner
picture there as they are.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
In this one right in the corner, right here.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
Yeah, so that guy with the broom afterwards could just
go sweet sweep.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
That's it. Yep, kudos to her. It was great. The
girls did great. I thought everybody did great in this match.
I love this match. It kept me on my toes.
I I really really enjoyed it, you know, so I
thought it was good.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
But okay, all right, So back to the thumb tacks though. Okay,
so you know, look AW obviously, look they've got the vets,
They've got the people who've used thumb tacks many, many,
many many times in the past. So let's go on
the TNA side. Alicia's a vet dreamer has used the
thumb tacks many many times. Is he going to be

(30:00):
the guy who tells him stick to one side of
the ring versus maybe somebody at AW telling them, Hell though,
just override it and throw them all over the place. Well, here,
I want to see blood.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Here's the difference. Though the AW match only had two competitors,
this one, there were people all over the place.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
True, that's a good point.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
So you don't want everybody having to bump and thumb text.
Plus this was towards the latter part of the match.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
So but your agent would be the one who would
tell you where to put.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
It right, Well, I mean he could, but the wrestlers
have a lot of saying what goes as well. So
I mean the agent could X nay something and say no,
we don't want that done there, or you can't use
that or blah blah blah, and then you either listen
to your agent or you go over the agent's head
and you go and ask, uh, let's say, a Tony Kahan,

(30:54):
or who's the guy Carlos what's.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
His heart Carlos Silva Silva or.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
A few minutes triple h or somebody, you know what
I mean. So yeah, there there's a different scenario though
between these two matches. But I will still stick to
my guns and say it's more effective just in the
corner because you can also tease it. You can't. You
can also like you know, move to that spot and
tease something because it's just in one section, and then

(31:27):
you can work all around the rest of the ring,
right And then when you finally hit it, you get
that huge pop because everybody's waiting for you to hit
the thumb tacks. But when they're all over the place,
every bump you take, you're gonna get a phone tack
in you. I'd rather just wait for the huge spot
and keep teasing teas and teas and the build it up.

(31:47):
I don't know, call me dumb, but that's the way
I will huh.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
I will not call you dumb. I will call the
booking of this next match dumb.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Well what did you what did you think about this one?
Did you like? Oh?

Speaker 3 (31:59):
I thought, yeah, this was fine what it was? This
was perfectly fine. Yeah that's what it was. Okay, Yeah,
it was a hardcore war.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
It was.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
It was all everybody got to bring one weapon. I
thought it was great. It's a good time.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Yeah, I thought this was this is this was what
it was. Everybody got their stuff.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
In the next match TNAX Division Championship Match, Davon Evans
versus Leon Slater. Both of these guys twenty one years old.
They look like they're seven to four, especially the the one,
uh Javon Evans. He looks like he's just eight feet tall.

(32:41):
He's like tall, he's so big. Let me tell you
and before you shop on this, because I know you're
on it, No I'm not.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
I'm not going to sho on it.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
Okay. I thought the athleticism in this match was by
far the best thing on the card. I loved it.
I liked the prior one more just because maybe because
I knew people that were in it, and I like
the story that was being told this one. For me,

(33:11):
I don't know how much of a build up this had.
I know it was like the Teams tea.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
It was just it was building off, right, That's what
I just said.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
That NXT showdown they had on October seventh, blah blah blah.
I understand all that, but I never saw these two work.
And and I gushed over Leon Slater the last time
we covered the pay per view. I think he is
going to be a rising star. Well guess what. Both
of them are exquisite. They had me sitting on my

(33:49):
chair like what what just happened? What was that? What
was that mean? Every single time they did something, I
was just blown away. So freaking good, so good together.
It's like it's like they're a car kind of like
a carbon copy of each other because they work very similar.

(34:12):
So being in two separate promotions, I guess is a
good thing, you know, because they're not competing, They're they're
not always competing against each other. It's kind of hard
when you're trying to develop a character and there's somebody
else that kind of looks like you and does the
same stuff as you, you know what I mean. So

(34:33):
I'm glad they're in separate promotions, but my guy, both
of them are going to be huge stars. The only
thing that would stop them is maybe developing an attitude
or or pissing off the wrong person because they have
this to a t at such a young age. And
I know in the in the prelude they said that

(34:57):
the one Leon they and he's been wrestling since age nine,
which I was just like nine. Wow, you know, so
if you add that up, that's quite a few years
under his belt. But he's still so twenty one years old.
He's got thirty forty years ahead of him if he
wants it. And the same It just goes for both

(35:20):
of them. They are super duper talented. So good. I
thought this was just so freaking good.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
Yeah, now that was awesome, very exciting. Javan Evans six
foot one, six foot.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
One, He looks like he's seven feet tall.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
One hundred and ninety five pounds.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Wow, well he appears larger than life for some reason.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Oh, I agree, No, he definitely. He looked so.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Much totterer than six to one. My husband's six three
and a half, and I would have thought he towered
my husband.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Maybe it's just because he's so thin.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
He's slender, very slender. He's a slender, very slender. But
they were doing spots, isn't it. Didn't they do a
spot where he did a cutter in the air on
to the ring apron?

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Yeah, I don't amazing. Those are scary, terrifying.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
But my god, that was amazing looking.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Yeah, so good. What I don't like about this is
somebody like, why book this match? If you're going to
book to a draw and then have that lame of
the dark state. I have to say, I said, this
is one of the worst factions that ever has been
put together. They are just they are they they They're

(36:39):
just not good. And I feel bad for these two
guys that they got booked against each other and had
to have that finish because they they found their way
out of somebody having to lose, right, And if you
were going to put them in a in a I know,
bound for Glorio's t and A's big show, but to me,
too quick to put them together. Should have waited a

(37:02):
little bit longer until they seasoned themselves a little bit more,
their character, a little bit more, their their their, their reputation.
Then to put them together, I think the whole dark
State thing kind of soured what was a great match.
I just felt that you put these two guys together,
meaning somebody should have had to have lost, and then
you kind of booked yourself with the draw, kind of

(37:22):
like scapegoat booking. I didn't love that, so I would
have not put this match on this show.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Well, they but all of that aside. They worked so well.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Oh absolutely, yeah, they really did.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
And to me, it wasn't like like a spot fest.
It didn't come off like like that usual spot fest
where everybody has to do spot spot spot. It was
more smooth to me, the way they played with each other,
the way he went up and tapped and like laughed
and you know what I mean. It wasn't just like
get your shit in done, get your shit in done. No,

(37:57):
it was gluing and it just I can't explain it
the way I want to explain it. That's in my brain.
I'm getting. It just was more fluid. It wasn't a
spot monkey fest. To me, But there were some spots
and man were they good. So I loved it, and

(38:19):
I'm looking forward to seeing more from both of them
in the future because I'm telling you, the only thing
that's going to mess them up is if they get
an attitude. They are super talented, so good. So that
was fun. That was a lot of fun to watch.
This next one.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
I can I stop you for one second. There's an
article that was from a couple of days ago that
said WWE had a significant say in the booking direction
for the Javon Evans versus Leon Slater match.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
They don't want them to lose.

Speaker 3 (38:52):
So what does that tell you about what I lose?

Speaker 2 (38:56):
They didn't want him to lose. TNA didn't want to
put another belt on an m XT superstar, So what
do you do? You have to do a draw or
a count out or whatever you're gonna do, you know
what I mean? Like, you can't you can't switch the belt,
not another one?

Speaker 3 (39:14):
Come on, now, that's funny.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
What are you gonna do? That's okay? This next match
was something that you and I were looking forward to seeing,
and it made me sad. It made me really sad
watching this. It was the Heartys versus the Dudley Boys
or Team three D one more table. It was titled Man,

(39:38):
I don't know if it's because I know these guys
and I know the Dudley's very very well. They are
both close friends of mine. I love them dearly. But
this made me emotional, it really did. And the spot
that got me. And you don't see a lot of

(40:00):
empathy in wrestling because it's usually heal and babyface. This
this was a babyface versus babyface match. You don't really
see a lot of empathy. But when Devon was put
through the table and he was out early, and then

(40:21):
Bubba's going and Bubba's going and Bubba's going and Bubba
goes through that table that was slaanted. He's getting up
and he's getting he's taking shit and he's getting up
and he's taking forever to get up. He looks broken

(40:42):
and you look at his face and look, I know
you're selling. Maybe he wasn't selling so much. Maybe it
did hurt a little bit, you know, but joking aside,
The hardies are holding the chairs and maybe they were
planning the crescendo or something. I don't know, but when
they look at this man, and they drop the chairs

(41:03):
and Bubba looks at them and just does a little
nod like it's time. Oh. That made me so upset.
It was like he just gave up. And I know
it's wrestling, and I know it's scripted, but Bubba has

(41:25):
always been as bad ass mother Trucker, doesn't take any
shit from anyone. And his last thing that I see
is him being surrounded by the hearties and telling them
it's time. Yeah, and that that hurt the heart a
little bit, maybe sad, you know, yeah, I don't know. Man,

(41:50):
they had a hell of a run, don't get me wrong,
and we all age and our bodies give out, and
you know it's time to hang up the boots, I
get it. I just seeing him like he it was
such a vulnerable version of Bubba that you normally do
not see when he's performing. He's always been this rough

(42:15):
and you know, rough and ready dude who will beat
anybody's ass, and he just looked broken down and it
just made me really upset. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Yeah, it was epic, it was. It was very cool.
And then at the end, handing over the boots.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Boots, yeah, like passing them on and you know what's funny.
I had dinner one night, Bubba and I had dinner
together and Matt was walking by, and Matt Hardy and
he said, oh, can I take a seat, And we're like,
oh yeah, and so he ended up eating dinner with us.

(42:54):
And I don't know why, but for some reason, Matt
always appeared way younger to me. And we were discussing
something and I said to him, oh, please, were he
a forty? And he looked at me and he goes,
oh my god. He goes, I love you so much.
And I go what And he goes, I'm gonna be
fifty what wait a minute? And I said, I'm fifty

(43:18):
three or whatever. I was at the fifty two at
the time. I said, why did I think you were
always so much younger than me? He goes, I don't know,
but I love it. It's just like, you know, so
it's like you're looking You're looking at Bubba and Devon,
who are you know, mid fifties or whatever. But the
Hardy boys are not that far behind age wise. No,

(43:39):
you know, it's not like they're passing the torch to
the youngins. R Hardy's been around for a really long
time too. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
I mean, look, they took off in ninety nine. I mean,
and they had been around you know, the WWE since
ninety five ninety four, right, so yeah, and Jeff was
twenty getting beat up in matches.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
I mean, I just don't know. I don't know why.
I always thought that Matt and well, if Matt was younger,
I thought Jeff was way younger. But I guess not.
So I don't know. This this ending was bittersweet for me.
I in one way I liked it, but in another way,
I would have liked Bubba the going out fighting and

(44:20):
then been maybe uh more endearing towards the end when
he lost. After he lost, I don't know, seeing him
not put up a fight was just weird.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
I get what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
I guess, yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't like a Bubba
thing to do. Bubba always was a fighter in the ring.
So I don't know. It just got me as a fan.
It got me, and again maybe because it's personal because
I know them so well, but I was just like, oh,
I just feel sad now.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
And with Divon too, I mean I never thought Divon
would step in the ring ever again, Yeah, you know,
and watching the What I loved was in this build
up when they did the promo. I think I don't
know if it was last week's Impact or two weeks
ago when the Dudleys were dressed all in black, sorry
Team three D, when they were dressed all in black

(45:14):
and you know they were doing their final you know,
jaw jacking for the match to build up. Man, I
was like, they're such badasses and like, I completely forgot
Devon was just retired and told us on the show
here like all the hell he had been through. And
I'm like, man, thinking like going to that match, I'm like,
how's Devon even gonna get through all this?

Speaker 2 (45:37):
That was the hook. It's like, what are these guys
gonna do? Obviously, you work towards your strengths and you
hide your weaknesses, right, so you go over what you
can and can't do. But I'm thinking to myself, Okay,
they're definitely doing the what's up because that's easy to
do three D. They're gonna have to do that, But like,

(45:58):
what else are they going to bump all around the arena?
Is this going to be a street fight? Like what's
gonna happen? So I think the fans left happy with
that one. But for me, I don't know, I just didn't.
I didn't like the way Bubba just gave up, because

(46:19):
in reality, I don't think Bubba would give up, So
it was kind of it was kind of hard to watch.
But again, you know, you knew what was coming. You
knew they weren't going to switch the belts to the dudies.

Speaker 3 (46:34):
You know, I mean those NXT tag titles too on
the line.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
Yeah, but I don't know for what it was worth.
I'm glad I watched it, and they had a hell
of a career. I'm super proud of both of them.
I love both of them, and they both got stuff
going on and they're gonna be just fine. You know,
life goes on after wrestling, and you can stay in
the business and not have to perform anymore, so they're

(47:02):
gonna be okay. But one I'm glad they got to
have one last match on a big stage where everybody
could see them, So hats off to them, and then
let's see what we do. Oh and little Spike, it.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
Was nice, Oh yeah, just.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
For a minute in the beginning. It was cute to
have him run out and put the glasses on them.
So I was happy to see them. And then we
got our main event. We have the TNA World Championship match,
Mike Santana versus Trick Williams. I thought it was good.

(47:43):
Mike Santana is growing on me. I didn't really know
anything about this guy. Are you a fan of his?
Did you know much?

Speaker 3 (47:52):
I mean I knew you know, I knew them from
tag team, but you know as a singles. I mean, yeah,
he's great, he's good.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Yeah. I thought the which was really good. Happy to
see him win it. I think they had good back
and forth. I think they kept the fans in it.
I like the inclusion of his daughter. Uh you didn't
don't care, Okay.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Just win the damn belt. Just if he won the belt.
Just can't they do this stuff for like social media?
Why do we have Why does every person have to
do the same. It's just the same thing over, It's
the same trope over and over and over.

Speaker 2 (48:32):
Anyway, Mike Santana wins.

Speaker 3 (48:34):
I'm happy for the guy and great victory.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
We get the money in the back, I mean the
Casher Gauntlet. What's it called?

Speaker 3 (48:42):
Uh yeah, gauntlet in the bank.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
Call your shot, yes, call your shot? Uh? Nick Nevis
runs down teasing the trophy, but the Elijah returning elijahs
he hits him over the head. Poor Nick. And then
we see Frank Kazarian again, but then he took a

(49:07):
big lariat and then uh, the daughter came in a
ring and then we celebrate and Santana is your winner.
So I guess nobody cashed in and we're gonna fight
over who gets the cash in because you you need
the trophy. The funny part was, I feel like Frankie
could have exited the ring on other sides and ran

(49:28):
around and got the trophy, but he was just choosing
the one side we couldn't get the trophy. But it'll
be interesting to see what they do with that, because
it's you know, it's gonna now you got your wish.
It's gonna be Nick and Frankie in some kind of
feud over this trophy who gets the cashing in. So

(49:49):
you're gonna be seeing more of these two.

Speaker 3 (49:50):
Well good and Elijah too, because he's awesome.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
Yes, I'm not ever gotten.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
He's never gotten that spot that he should have had.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
You think though he was getting pushed a lot in
the beginning. Yeah, I mean they they were all in
on him at one point, but then he just disappeared.
I got to meet him for a really quick quickly.
He was very nice, didn't really talk too much ourselves, and.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
One of the most creative reinvention videos post w W
he ever, was Elijah very in Elias to become Elijah.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
What was the thing he did with the brother when
he would.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
Have one of the greatest things in history? A I, yes,
what was the brother's name, but they were doing not
Elijah Elias and no, no, oh my god, this is

(50:58):
killing me.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
It's okay, Well that was one of the great.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
With Kevin Owens always coming out saying that he is
you know, he was lying every week that was the great.
That was one of the greatest things they were doing
at that point.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
Yeah, so I don't know. I thought this was a great,
great main event match, and I thought it was overall
a great pay per view. I enjoyed it. It wasn't
a chore for me to sit through this because I
literally enjoyed every match that was on the card. And
I can honestly say that I'm not kissing anyone's ass
because I don't get any kick back from anybody. They're

(51:34):
not DNA, not w w A, not a w uh.
No one could care less.

Speaker 3 (51:39):
It was Ezekiel.

Speaker 2 (51:40):
No one couldn't care less to what I say. Ezekiel.
There you go. Yeah, no one uh No, one couldn't
care less what I have to say in the business.
Although my co hosts over here Chad things that everybody
listens to us and that's why things are updated.

Speaker 3 (51:57):
Because they do. Yeah, I definitely do AnyWho I do.
I think this was a strong show. I think, you know,
the WW influence is there, very very strongly. Again, you know,
I didn't shot on the commentary like I normally would
because it just don't have to repeat myself over and over.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
Over seven thousand attendance their biggest house yet, which is great.
They just keep breaking those attendance records and again everybody
worked super hard. So kudos to TNA. Hell of a show.
I hope it continues for them and we'll see what
happens next. But let us know what you think in

(52:39):
