Speaker 1 (00:00):
H h h.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Hey everyone, it is between of Extreme fran scene and
you are listening to Eyes up here with Dan scene
in the iHeart Rating Network or wherever we get your podcasts.
As always, I am enjoyed by my co host daddad.
I forgot what you looked like. I haven't seen in
about a month. Crazy well. I also forgot we changed
(00:57):
our theme music. So with this game ward, I was
waiting let me.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
I've been sitting in the corner listening to it, being like,
when is.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
She coming back?
Speaker 2 (01:06):
I've been going alone.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Well come back, well come back.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
You know, it's good to be back.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
It's good to be home.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
It's good to be sitting in the share recording with you.
We've put a bunch of stuff in the can. Any
fans of mine know that this time every year is Disney.
You go there. This trip. This trip was a doozy.
We went for seventeen days and we were very excited
(01:38):
about it. We waited all year, planned everything out. I've
talked about it on the show. I've told you privately.
We had all our reservations. I mean, we were watching
our videos, getting hype, YouTube rides, watching everything you know,
watching food reviews, the day comes, we get there, couldn't
(01:58):
wait get to the park. It's so great. We're feeling
feeling good. First four days it was like a dream.
Everything was going well. And then the flu. The flu.
The flu hit my son like a tun of bricks
(02:19):
and we went to where did we go?
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Wait? Hold on the flu?
Speaker 2 (02:27):
That is the same. What moment of the week the
freaking flu hit us in Disney. We were at a restaurant.
I can't remember which one might have been. It might
have been Holly No, I'm sorry. We might have been
an Animal Kingdom, and I think we were at Rainforest Cafe.
(02:48):
My son was sitting there very mushy like towards the
end of the day, towards dinner, and he's going, I
don't feel well. I don't feel well. And we're like, uh,
are you tired, buddy? You know it's it's you know,
towards the end of the day, we're walking a lot
and he's just like, no, I just don't feel well.
And I go and I touch his face and he's
(03:11):
on fire. It was just like a light switch. And
I was like, he's got a fever. I know he's
got a fever. A mother knows. I know these things.
So he's kind of like sitting there, he's picking at
his food. He's very just blog day. So I'm like, okay,
we're gonna finish up. Let's get the hell out of here.
(03:32):
So we go back to the hotel and thankfully where
we were staying there was a Walgreens in walking distance,
and so my husband's like, I'm gonna go get a thermometer.
I'm gonna go get some Nike wall. He comes back.
I think we paid more for the stuff for the
flu than we did for our hotel room. He came
(03:53):
back with a ton of like meds and just anything
you can think of for a cold and flu, and
the thermometer. So I take his temperature and it's like
one hundred and four and I'm like, oh no, this
is terrible. Right, So I get him in the bed.
(04:13):
It's like seven o'clock. He's just now he's coughing, coughing,
very miserable, and then he goes. I feel like i'd
have to throw up. So I'm like, oh my god,
So I run with him. I'm like, can you get
to the bathroom. So we're both running. He makes it
to the bathroom, throws up a couple times in the toilet,
he goes, I'm good, I'm good. I'm like all right, cool,
(04:35):
gets back in the bed and lays down, And when
the morning came, his fever did decrease. So i was
just like, okay, because we were going to take a
right to Meta Express. But his fever was going down
and by midday it was about one hundred. So I'm
just like, okay, Well, if we keep them the fluids,
(04:55):
we keep them hydrated, we give them this cold medicine,
maybe it'll pass. So we had to change our part day,
so we kept switching to rest day, park day, rest day.
Then it got to the point where my daughter got
it and she wasn't feeling well. She gets in bed
with me, throws up all over the bed. She's got
(05:17):
a temperature of one hundred and four. So now I'm like, okay,
we have to go to med Express. So we finally
we take everybody to met Express. My husband catches it right,
this is mid vacation, right in the snackdoub in the middle.
I'm fine. So I'm walking around, I'm like, hey, this
is this is not gonna touch me. I'm the only
(05:37):
one that's gonna be invincible. This is gonna be great.
Before my daughter got sick, we were able to go
to Hollywood Studios. We met C. W. Anderson and his
lovely wife Britney, and we had a great day together there. Yeah,
we put up some pictures on socials, had a lot
of fun. That's when my daughter got sick that night.
Because I was like, don't worry, C Dub, We're good,
(05:58):
We're not sick. Daughter was sick. I didn't even know it,
but yeah, everybody got the flu. So like we missed
part days. There were days when like my husband took
my daughter because I stayed home with my son because
he was sick, so I stayed in the room. They
(06:19):
had a daddy daughter day. Then it was reversed, like
my daughter was really sick, my son was feeling better,
so I was okay. I took him, which I've never
been to a park without my husband leading the way
because he's in charge of everything. He's got, you know,
the app. He does everything on this I don't know shit,
(06:39):
I don't know. And I followed him. He does everything,
so now I was in charge, and uh, you know,
I took my son by myself, and then I took
my daughter by myself, and I was just like, wow,
I could do this.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
So I felt very Which did you go by yourself?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
I went to Epcot by myself and I went to
Hollywood Studios by myself.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Okay, so those are the two that you know, you
navigate around enough times you know you might be able
to get to point A to point B, but you
know you might not know the way times is.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Uh, well, I have it on my phone. I have
the app. Okay, I I you know, I have everything,
so you know that was okay. It was just like
he gave me a gift card, like five hundred dollars
gift card and he's like, okay, just pay with this
and navigate everything on your app. And we had we
(07:32):
have a DAS system because my son is ADHD and
so I was able to program all the rides into
what we need. I figured out how to do it
on my own. I was like, look at me, yes,
you know I was navigating around. I had trouble, like
I was scared finding the uber because my husband was
(07:53):
ordering the Uber and he's like, you're looking for a
black SUV. I'm like, where is it? So that was
kind of new for me. But I did it because
there were you know, you can't have everybody in sick.
If one person isn't sick, it's it's a shame to
let them waste the day you're on vacation, you know
(08:14):
what I mean. But overall we missed a ton of days.
We missed a ton of days, so we were able
to take those days and put them on to next
year's vacation, which is the only silver lining. But other
than that, I mean talk about just hacking, throwing up,
being sick, going to the doctor, taking meds. Like I
(08:37):
could have did that here, I didn't want to do
that in Florida at Disney World, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
You know you needed like the med Express Platinum card.
I know you were there so often.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
I know. And then we found out that there was
they because we were less than five miles it's free,
they shuttle. We didn't know that, so we paid for
an uber to get there.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Express. Yeah, they've got a met Express shuttle.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah they had something. Yeah that if you're less than
five miles, I think it's a it's a free trip
or something. And we didn't know. We just caught the
uber to take us. But now we know, so so
we also know that when there's a first sign of
any flu, we're all going to met Express and we're
all taking that Tama flu thing because it's a preventive
(09:30):
mechanism too, and we all should have did that, but
we didn't know. So overall the trips sucked. Like the
beginning was cool and then it just went downhill. So
I mean, what are you gonna do?
Speaker 3 (09:42):
You made my little my flu that I had right
after Christmas looked like the stiffles.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
I have been. It's been We've been home for three
and a half weeks now or something like that. I
don't even know how long I've been home.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
A little bit shorter that I got home on.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
February US seven? No, was it that I got them
in seventh?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Get the heck out of here.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
You twenty fourth? Holy really almost three weeks.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
I'm thinking you got back like a week and a
half ago in my timeline.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Holy crap, been a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
I've just been sick this whole time, and I'm still
under the weather.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Now, man, I know, yeah, but god damn, it just
feels like it's just been like meshed together. We had
this like meticulous podcasting like plan just like perfectly sculpted.
You know, you had this beautiful trip with your family,
just perfectly sculpted, and all it takes is a little
flu to just kind of break the foundation of both
(10:45):
and just throw the curveball.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
It was the worst vacation I think I've ever been on,
only for this simple fact that you're at Disney World
and your poor kids. Like I didn't even feel bad
so much for like me as much as I did
for my children, because they were like, Mom, do we
get to go tomorrow? And I was like no. They
(11:08):
were like okay. It's like, oh man, Like I'm so sorry.
You know, like all the plans we've been planning for
a year just went down the dream. It's so frustrating. Yeah,
it pissed me off. So I mean, you know, we
did the best we could, and at least we did
get to go to all the parks because technically we
(11:30):
did get to visit all four parks. We just didn't
get to go or ten days that we were supposed
to do parks.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
So you know, but what are you going to do
when you heard that the Eagles were going to have
their parade in Disney World, like eight seconds after you
left the park.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
How did you feel about that?
Speaker 2 (11:53):
So we knew if we won the Super Bowl we
were going to miss them by like two days or
because we left Friday and then you know, the super
Bowl was Sunday. No, we missed them by three day. Sorry,
the parade was Monday. We knew that when we booked
the trip. But it's fine because when when they do
the parades at the parks, you can't move. Magic Kingdom
(12:16):
is packed, so the rides would have been like hours
wait times, and uh, you know, navigating the park would
have been impossible. I would have liked to see Jalen
on a float. I'm not gonna lie, but it's you
when when if we are down there during that we
always go to Epcot that day. We never go to
Magic Kingdom because it's just too congested.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah, I mean, I hear that song, you know all
the time, Breeze watching Disney Channel and they play it
like every other break when you and.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Chapon a star and where are you going next? Oh?
Going to Disney World? Yeah yeah, and there's fret scene
she's waving outside.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
I would have had my my Eagles jersey on for sure.
I mean, the game was so good, I was so happy,
because we were we were the underdogs, and you know,
everybody was like, OK, Kansas City's gonna kick your ass,
blah blah blah. I was like, I don't I don't know,
you know, but it was a really good game. I
(13:13):
enjoyed it immensely, and uh, you know, I'm proud to
bleed green.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Good job, first time possibly in history. Philadelphia was the babyface.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Oh my god. So but I loved it because they
they booed the chief says. They came out, they booed
Taylor Swift when they showed her on the job and
she said something like, what's going on, Like they're doing well, Yeah,
they're going you.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
It was great, Taylor Swift said. She said to her friends, she.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Said, I loved it. It was great. It was a
great game play. I loved Uh Cooper Cooper the gene
when he he intercepted it and ran in in for
a touchdown. It was his twenty second birthday. He's a
rookie right out of school, his first major league team,
(14:10):
his first year in and he's in the Super Bowl
and he runs it back for a touchdown on his birthday.
I was going on it was great. It was great.
Such a good time.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
I watched this many minutes of the Super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Well you're not a football guy.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
I just didn't care.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
I mean everybody watches it, but I just didn't care.
I waited for the next day when pictures and catchers reported.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
So, see, baseball is worring to me, like, it's okay,
Like I like the Phillies. I'll sit there and I'll
watch if it's on. I won't make it a point
to go and watch the Phillies game. I'll check scores
just to see if they win. I do like going
to the ballpark in person, having done it very often,
(14:53):
but I think it's fun to go to a baseball game.
But the way you love baseball, I love football.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
I respect it.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Yeah, so football is absolutely respect it.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Yeah, it's fun. It's back.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Watched two little spring training games for a little while.
Can't sit and watch people, you know, for that long.
Spring training games are tedious, But nonetheless, baseball's back and
we're ready to go.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Good for you. Well, I'm ready to talk about some
wrestling and some news. So I was looking at the
trending because we met. I know we missed a ton
of stuff, but we had such good interviews and if
you haven't listened to them, please go back and do so,
because we had a lot of good people come on
(15:38):
the show recently. But there's one story I wanted to
start with because I had seen a little blurb about
this before and then I was just like, I didn't
see anything, and then I saw something today about it,
and that's Ryan Nemus. Ryan's in the news because I
believe it was February fourteenth, the final lawsuit against c MM, Punk,
(16:03):
Tony Khan, and ae W and I found this to
be odd, but then when I started reading about it,
he claims to be have been humiliated in front of
his colleagues when him and Punk were both in aew.
(16:23):
He's alleging that there was assault, and he also blames
Punk for putting him on the bench. YEP, because I
guess Punk had some power with Tony Khan, so I
guess Punk was allegedly burying him to management and that's
why he wasn't used at the time. So yeah, the
(16:47):
lawsuit was filed February fourteenth in California. It's for assault,
breach of contract, breach of implied covenant of good faith,
and fair dealing. What does that means?
Speaker 1 (17:01):
And fair dealing, Yeah, good faith and fair dealing.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
And intentional interference with prospective advantage, which I don't even
know what that means.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
That's a lot of fancy schmancy terminology. Man, the last
couple of shows, we've been dealing with a lot of lingo.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Yeah, it's a it's I mean, I would rather you
just tell me Layman's terms, please, because I I don't
even know what.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Okay, fair dealing refers to engaging in competitive business practices
that are considered reasonable and lawful, while intentional interference with
prospective advantage is a legal claim where someone deliberately disrupts
a potential business relationship or economic opportunity that another party
(17:48):
has with a third party.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
So, in Layman's terms, he's kind of cop locking his
uh push.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
I would say that would be the terminology.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Sure, I'm just you.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Know, I'm just breaking it down for everybody who's like
me and doesn't know all this jargon, so to speak. Okay,
So you know, how do you think this is gonna
play out? I mean, do you think he has a case?
Speaker 1 (18:22):
I think this is a settle.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
I think this is gonna go away quickly. Now, first,
let me just take this off the screen. I'll take
this picture of me off the screen. Sorry, it was
a joke.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
I didn't even see what the picture was because I
was looking at the article.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Sorry I said that. Yeah, no, there's a picture of
me off the screen.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Where who are you?
Speaker 1 (18:42):
I'm the one on the left.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Sure, okay, AnyWho.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
So I think this is a settle to me.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
I think this is one that AW will put away
very quickly. I cannot see Punk even getting involved in
this one, you know, and his his team putting it
away quickly.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
If you're subpoena, you have to go.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
If he's did we get to that point in it?
Speaker 2 (19:06):
I don't know. I mean he's named in the lawsuit.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Well, I just see this one going away.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Hmm interesting Okay.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah, I mean because how long has Punk been gone now.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
From AW two and a half years, So we're digging
up a can of worms that's been buried for a while.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
So, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
I mean, this is just this is an old one.
You know, it's gonna have to do a lot of
digging if we're gonna start to look for the answers
to the questions we need.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
I wonder if, like, are Punk and Tony even on
good terms because now you get to know you have
to team up now and go to court, and because
now you're on the same page, right and you have
to kind of work together against mister Nemoth.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Yeah, and it doesn't seem like that could possibly be
the case.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Wo, dating back.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
To the departure and all the kind of mudslinging there
was in the press. So you know, your guess is
as good as mine, but I just think, you know,
it looks really bad. I mean, it's you know, if
it's the case that all these things were done against
(20:21):
one person hasn't been done against anybody else, that'll be
the question asked if it makes it to a trial,
be is this the only person that these things were
done too? So this isn't something that we've heard traditionally
in the you know, media, like happening with AW. So
this is making it to a lawsuit now, So let's say.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Crazy crazy crazy, Okay, But you know, hey.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Look AW is getting a lot of flak right now.
So this is a huge story. So let's see if.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
It starts to be the tumble down the mountain again.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
What else are they getting flack for?
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Well, you know, they had the Australia business from a
few weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Did you see that.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
While you were the round and out about the ring
and you know, well, it's just it was that in
the switch of the pay per view to the TV
taping in Australia and it was you know, look again,
this is just petty criticism by fans that might not
know everything that goes out of the business. But you know,
(21:26):
it just it's it's a lot of perception. People put
them on tap to be the second largest or second
highest grossing wrestling company of all time, so I can promotion.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
I mean right now, it's uh, I don't know. I
just again, I feel like if you hate a w
and you love WWE, you're going to just jump on
the bandwagon talk about wine or vice versa. And I
said it before, just like wrestling, just just like the
sport of wrestling. Why do you have to pick a side?
(21:58):
I still see people arguing line and it just blows
my mind, just like what you like? Who cares?
Speaker 1 (22:05):
You know?
Speaker 3 (22:05):
And while you were I think while you were gone,
the TNA relationship took another step like up. And since
you've been gone, I mean, you know, all these different
crossovers in NXT and TNA have gone back and forth,
and as we're recording this today on a Monday, tomorrow,
on a Tuesday, the Hardys are going to be on NXT.
(22:27):
And if you recall six months ago, we had talked
about that and we said, oh my gosh, it's just
going to lead.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
To something like the Hardy's being on NXT.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
And now I think it was you who said I
don't want to see the Hardies on NXT.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
I'm just saying we talked about it as a conversation
and I said, no, it's not good.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
For the ex but it's good for business, and you
said it's really not. And look what happened.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
It's going very well received and it's been done extremely well.
And it's one of those things where I think everything
that WWE has kind of pushed buttons with has been
pushed very well.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Now I'm not talking about decision making.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
I'm just saying business wise, they're pushing the right buttons,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
Like this TNA thing has been done perfectly.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah, because TNA didn't they just do full Sale live
or is that coming up? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:27):
No, I think that was last week.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
I was like, yeah, so and that's where an XT runs,
so they're using their building and they're live and it's
just it's good for everyone. It's good, you know, these crossovers.
Like we talked about it too, and it's it was
funny because like we talked about Jordan Grace, and now
Jordan Grace signed with WWE, so now she's she is
(23:51):
a WWE superstar. She is no longer a TNA representative,
but they're working together. So technically, Jordan might have to
wrestle some of the girls that she was on the
roster with because if they keep going back and forth
because they're taking raw and snackdown talent, they're putting them
on TNA and everybody's going back and forth. They're taking
(24:14):
the belt to the other promotion, and I mean, never
know where you're going to see somebody end up, which
I kind of did that. I think that's cool.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
You know, acknowledging them big time.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
I mean acknowledging TNA's history for sure, big time. You know,
even on TNA show, you know they're talking about aj
Styles like crazy, and you know AJ Styles is being
referred to as TNA World Champion, So is that going
to happen at some point. You know, these guys that
are released from WWE do they go to TNA? Is
that now like just a crossover back to w It's
(24:48):
this is such a weird relationship.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
It's kind of like it's working.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
And I mean the list, wasn't it the last TNA
pay per view? They drew almost like five thousand?
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yeah they did that. Was it bout for glory? I
don't know whatever it was. They did really well.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Yeah. I saw pictures of the building. It was packed
and it looked great. So their numbers are going up.
I'm telling you this is this is good for business.
This is a good thing. And I don't know. I
told you the Hardys would be fun to see you
on NXT.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
No, it's so, it's so funny. It's look, I was wrong.
I'm not an expert, you know.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
I'm just somebody who sees it and tries to make
a comment.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
On it in the somebody and on it. Listen, this
is twenty twenty five. Okay, this is the new me.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
I'm I'll if I wasn't wearing it, I'd eat it.
I'd eat my hat.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
There is a there's a phrase from my beloved Big
Brother show Expected Unexpected you could use that in the
world of professional wrestling. You never know what's going to happen,
and I love that aspect.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
So did you get a chance to see the Royal Rumble?
Speaker 3 (26:04):
That's weeks and weeks ago, But I did.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
I saw, I saw. Did I watch the whole thing?
I watched the women I watched.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Didn't love it?
Speaker 2 (26:20):
You didn't love it?
Speaker 1 (26:21):
The women's match I did not.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Love, Okay, I thought it was entertaining. Yeah, I did
watch it because I remember there were some returns like
Nikki Bella was there?
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Ye?
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Who else was there?
Speaker 4 (26:36):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Trich Stratus, Yes, Tris was there. I enjoyed it. Yeah,
Jordan Grace, Yeah, I did enjoy it, but I can't
remember if we watched the whole entire thing. I watched
the men too, because I had read there were there
was some controversy with Drew McIntyre with the spot with
(26:58):
Ellen U and everybody. It's yeah, they blew it off afterwards.
So I did watch the the two main rumbles. I
do like the Royal Rumble more than WrestleMania too. I
enjoy it a lot better. I just I like the
campdown and I like seeing who's going to come through
the curtain next. So that aspect I think makes it
(27:22):
fun to be a spectator.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Right, Yeah, I gotta be honest with you.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
I mean it was a legit shocker, you know, Jay
Uso won, and I should have sent you the video.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
I was watching it with both girls.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
And they were getting into it, you know, they were
I couldn't believe it. So I was playing it up
with them to get it, you know, get get their
reaction up, and they wanted seeing it to win, and
they they I started filming them.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
To get their reaction. They were shocked when he got eliminated.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
I mean, I couldn't believe that they went with Uso,
but that it was a very well done finish.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Just people shit on it like crazy.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
I loved that that it was Jay and not John
Cena because you know so many times, not that he's
been shoved down our throats, but it's like so like, yeah,
Sina's going to get it. This is his farewell to
where they're going to give it to him. No, they
didn't give it to him, you know what I mean.
And I just thought it was fun. It was entertaining,
(28:24):
and I think it threw some people off, and I
like that because I hate when wrestling is so predictable.
I agree, it gets very tiresome. And so when I
saw those those guys you know in the ring, I
was just like, please, don't give it to Sina. Don't
put him over. You know, he doesn't need it. He
(28:44):
doesn't need it, that's the thing. And I like the finish.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
I liked it.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
I thought it was overall what I did see I liked. So, yeah,
we watched it when we were sick in the hotel room.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
How about the guy I show, I show speed, the
guy who does the back.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Oh yeah, there, I just saw him. He had a
neck brace on two crutches. I don't know he was.
He's arguing with Mark Henry. Is there gonna be some
kind of Is there gonna be some kind of feud
with him and Mark Henry.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
That I don't know, But he could take the ship
out of his spear, Holy ship.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
Let me tell you, Mark Henry just has to go
that knill follow.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Yeah he was.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
He's entertaining, though, I'll tell you that he's very entertaining.
I didn't know who he was had the look of
and uh, his tweets are pretty funny.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
So kids knew who he was two kids that don't
watch they knew exactly who he was.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
The kids. The children, and the children knew who he was.
So I have no idea what's happening. Sometimes I have
to google things.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
That's right, that's right. Anyway, moving on, how about how
about this? This is one that when I saw the
I thought about you because I was dying to get
your take on this.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Yeah, okay, this is the big news of today. Okay,
kid's a little small. You can't really see it. Ria
Ripley shouldn't have to say this. Do not ever send
fan mail to my house that is by mail or
self delivered. That is one hundred percent not Okay. What
(30:22):
are your thoughts on this tweet by Riha Ripley.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
Yeah, Ria, honey, I've been there, and I'm not the
only one. There are a bunch of wrestling personalities who
have received fan mail delivered to their homes. And I
remember the first time this happened to me. I don't
(30:47):
know where I was living, but I got a letter
sent and I was just like, oh, hell no. And
then I had asked around and here there are people
online who sell our addresses for profit to fans. So
(31:07):
whoever these people are, they get the addresses and you
have to pay I don't even know what it is.
And then you get an email with the address in it,
which is the biggest Like, let me put it this
(31:27):
way before I curse, because I don't want to curse.
If you are a personality, a wrestling personality, an actor
or a musician, whatever, and you have a family and
you're protective of that family, right, and then you start
to get fan mail sent to your house or like
(31:49):
she said, and this happened to me as well, you
start to get people who come to your house and
knock on your door. That is a violation of privacy. Okay,
we're protective of our families. You don't know the type
(32:09):
of person. And I'm not saying every fan is out
for blood. I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is
if you put yourself in the wrestlers or the musician
or the actors shoes, would you like it if a
stranger came to your house and rang your doorbell and
(32:31):
asked for you by name? Do you not find that
like just the violation of your privacy, like exactly, especially
if you have kids, Like it's that is a line
you do not cross you want to meet one of us,
or meet a talent, go to a show stand in line,
(32:54):
do it the right way. Never show up at somebody's
house or pay or get an address and send them
shit through the mail. You just don't do that. It's wrong.
Don't stalk them at the airport, don't be creepy, don't
(33:15):
do it the right way. We love and respect our fans,
and the ones that do it in a nice way
and a respectful way, love you to death like it's great.
The ones that do it the way you're not supposed to,
(33:39):
that's scary. And that also falls into what Oscar's going through. Yeah,
so she's been talking about an individual I guess who's
in love with her and who is convinced that she
loves him back, and he's pretty much stalking her. And
she went to the authority, and I guess she found
(34:01):
out who it was and reported them. Now. I don't
know if anything, like if she got a restraining order
like it didn't say that, but I mean that that's
just that's mental. That's like something's wrong with this individual. Right,
(34:22):
But for the people who have common sense and who
know better, what would possess you to think it's okay
to go to somebody's house or to even mail them
stuff to their private residence. It's not okay. It's wrong.
You're invading their personal space. You know, that's just a
(34:44):
big no. Note in my.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Book, what do you do with the with the mail?
Do you rts? Some keep it? Do you throw it out? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Some people throw it away. Some people might return to sender.
I don't know anyone who has ever responded and send
something back.
Speaker 3 (35:09):
I don't think that's that's why people do it those
because it is out there. I mean, I know for
a fact in the baseball world, you know, dealing with
my sports guys, my baseball guys, they do it. Guys
make a little racket out of it. They'll make a
racket out of it. You know, they'll ten bucks, twenty bucks.
Some guys will direct it to a po box, you know,
so it's not to the house. But other people will
(35:31):
accept it and for a fee, you know, sign it.
Speaker 2 (35:34):
And they're not paying a fee.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Correct right now? Correct, Yes, you're right.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
But in the same vein there are same as you're
saying that send it back. Say, I don't accept anything
at my house, never send anything to the house.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
That is across the line moment period. So right there
with you, you're.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
Saying they're they're asking for a fee.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Say some people do it, they say, if some if
you send the item right and uh, you accept it.
You open it up, you put a little note in,
say I'll sign this for ten dollars.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
You send it back.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Then they send back, They'll send it twice twice. Well,
that's ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Takes a lot of work.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Ten dollars for your private residence.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
It's a lot of work. Look, it's not for everybody.
But I'm just saying there's there's a way people do it.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Or you open up a PO box.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
And a PO box and you get a website and
you say, heyrect send me. I used that back in
the day. We used to all do that. We had
po boxes and people would send money orders and we
would send out photos. But we had websites.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Yeah, they could pick a picture off the.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Website that I get. But to just send it blatantly
to somebody's address. And for these assholes, excuse my French,
who have these sites, who are selling personal information, addresses,
phone numbers, get out of here. All of these guys
should be taken down, Go get a real job. Are
(37:06):
you kidding me with this? That infuriates me?
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Yeah, and the one I mean, look the stuff online,
the addresses for sale, that's disgusting. The people who have
the balls to then go to the house, that's where
the real faculties have to really be played with. Jim
Cornette did a whole segment on his podcast about a
guy who came to his house and said he drove
(37:31):
from Virginia to get his autocraft at the house, and
he went off on him, you know, in Cornett fashion.
But can you imagine the balls of somebody to say
I came from Virginia, You're obligated to sign my shit now.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
It's like, I'll call the police.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
When I lived in Delaware, I think I said this
story before I used to live in Delaware. I had
four teenage boys come to my door and I was
home alone. It's when I lived with my parents. I
was home alone. I answered the door and they're standing
there staring at me, and the one kid goes as
free scene here and I was just like, no, she
(38:15):
doesn't live here. And the kid because I told you
this wasn't her house, and they left four big teenagers. Now,
maybe they weren't to maybe they were twenty. I don't know.
They were younger than I was, but I was in
ECW at the time. I was scared shitless. I was like,
oh my god, they could have all four of them,
could have just came into the house and god knows
(38:37):
what could have happened because they didn't recognize me because
I had no makeup on and a bun on the
top of my head, Like, that's not even her. And
I was like, what do you want me to come
in a gown.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
And open the door and say hello boys?
Speaker 2 (38:52):
Yeah, but that's that's scary. That is scary stuff. You
don't do stuff like that. I'm sorry. I find that
extremely just it's too much. It's an invasion of our
privacy and it's crossing the line. So do it the
(39:14):
right way. Go to a show, go to a convention.
Wait after the show, if you have to try to
get them, you know, that's okay. But this is showing
up at their residents and paying for personal efforty, No,
it's wrong.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
So then we got your trifecta, like you said, the house,
the hotel, and the airport.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Okay, rank them.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
The house is the worst. The house is the that
is the worst. I would say the airport because you're
trying to get from point A to point B. You're exhausted,
and then some guy comes with forty pictures and shoves
them in your face, like are obligated to sign? No,
(40:02):
we're not obligated to sign anything. Well, so you can
turn around and sell them on eBay, because you know
that's what happens when they come with those stacks. I mean,
some guys they think a wagon is full of card.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
They're prep them, they're ready.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
It's it's it's wrong. It's just everybody's trying to make
a buck off of somebody else. That's what it is.
And it's it's too much. It's really too much. At
the hotel, I mean, as long as you're not following
them on the elevator, like I know, people hang out
in the lobby if you have a if you want
(40:41):
to picture a quick signature, whatever, but don't be following
them to their rooms. I told you in Japan, a
father knocked on my door with his kids and I
was just like, hello.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Yes, please, would you like some of the room service
we ordered earlier?
Speaker 1 (41:02):
While you're here I've just.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Gotten out of the shower. I was like, sure, you
have to leave. This is uncalled for. It's too much.
It's just it's too much. So I don't know, and
it's unsafe, especially for the women, you know what I mean, Like,
it's it's very unsafe because some of these men. Just
(41:24):
I get that you get in love with these girls
because you see them and they're beautiful, and oh my god,
you're enamored with them. I understand that, but you have
to understand too that that's a fantasy. Yeah, and you
can't cross that line. You can. You can be in
love with them all you want, but they nine times, yeah,
(41:46):
don't they have a boyfriend or a husband, and you
don't have a shot in hell. So you know, it's
just it's a there's a fine line. It's scary.
Speaker 3 (41:57):
So these were Oscar's tweets, and I'll be honest with you,
the tweets were concerning, but you know, the way the
fans interpret them, it's like they almost come off not
understanding how serious the tweets are, you.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
Like I was reading some of the responses and it's like,
I don't think they were taking seriously.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
How serious. Ther tweets were.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
The first one she had was, I've been feeling in
danger recently. I've already consulted the police. At this rate,
even if fans approached me at the airport or in
the city, I will feel the possibility that someone might
something might happen, and it will scare me, making me
unable to respond.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Ooh, that's deep.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
And then it was wwetko or taking action to protect me.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Then this is the last one that really like you
know again, the replies were the first one is one
point nine, next one was nine hundred and twenty three.
This one was seven forty one. I absolutely reject any
romantic or personal approaches toward me. There is absolutely no
possibility for others to interfere in my private life.
Speaker 1 (43:08):
Yeah, that's pretty heavy.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
I mean. And then you'll get the fans who say
you're lucky somebody likes you. You know what, do you
think your shit doesn't sting? Blah blah blah. No, it's
not that it's too much. You're crossing a line, right,
and as a female, you know, it's it's scary, like
(43:32):
like ringa before when she's at an airport and she
gets you know, forty guys are surrounding her. You don't
know these people. They might have like the utmost respect
for her and great intentions, but as as a female
by yourself trying to navigate through an airport, you know,
(43:53):
find your ride or find an uber or whatever you
need to do, you have these strangers following you. It's
not a good feeling. It's very scary, you know what
I mean. And people come at me because I won't
do these shows by myself anymore. I don't feel safe
(44:13):
going to these cities or these states where I have
to get on an airplane by myself, land and meet
a complete stranger and go to a hotel checking out.
I just don't feel comfortable. Twenty years ago, that's all
we did. I was good. I told you I was
going all over the place because this was the way
(44:36):
we worked, you know. And then the promoters back then,
they would just contact you and whatnot, and you would
try to like, you know, get the okay from the
other guys. Yeah I worked for this guy, he's okay
or whatever. But nowadays there's so many different people out
there saying I'm running this at my store, I come
(44:59):
to this bar, do this do that as a female,
like getting on a plane, You're taking a chance. And
I don't do that anymore if I don't know you personally,
or I don't have one of the boys with me.
I'm staying home where I'm safe. And thank god, I'm
in the position that I don't have to take every
(45:22):
booking that's thrown at me because my husband has a
good job. You know what I'm saying. I'm blessed in
that aspect. I know a lot of people depend on
this for a living, but you have to think about
your your safety. And these days, man, there's so there's
some people out there who are just like out there.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Yeah, that's putting it mildly, for.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
Sure, I'll tell you it's it's frightening.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
And this is the you know again, the second or
third time we've covered Ria Ripley in the same situation.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
So back off for your Ripley gay. Let her do thing.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
She's super over. I get it. People love her, love
her from afar. Let her live her life, let her
entertain you. You're not going to marry her, you're not
going to have an affair with her. Leave her alone,
That's right.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
Do I need to bring back my picture from earlier
from sports Kya that they used unauthorized.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
I think I have sure ed it in my brain.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Okay, just making sure it's all good. Yeah, got it.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
But just be respectful. We love fans. Without fans, we
wouldn't be working. You know, we love you guys, but
you need to know when, uh to stop and you know,
don't cross the line. And that's that absolutely. Yeah. So anyway,
(46:49):
now that I'm all hyped up, we're going to be
coming back at you, uh, you know, with new episodes
every Tuesday, sometimes Thursdays, if you know, if we have
a two parter. But I'm excited to be back and
we have a lot of stuff brilling, so it's it's
(47:10):
gonna be a good uh. Yes, stir in the pot.
Speaker 1 (47:13):
It's Chad chad Ster, Chad Ster.
Speaker 2 (47:16):

can grow it until April.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
Oh, and then they're getting rid of it allegedly.
Speaker 3 (48:08):
I have suspicions that it's already been purchased because if
you know TikTok, you know that there's been some subtle
changes since the changing of the guard from the Jeha
or the Chinese to the whatever savior.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
There was in January. So yep, at least here till April.
