On Christmas Eve of two thousand two, twenty seven year
old Lacey Peterson went missing in Modesto, California. On October twelfth,
one year old Matthew Sheppard was abducted in Laramie, Wyoming.
On July four, forty six year old Marsha P. Johnson
spoke with her friends for the very last time in

Greenwich Village, New York. So what do all of these
victims have in common? Each was a bright light extinguished
way too soon by some horrible evil. I'm RuSHA Peccarero
and I'm Evette Gentile. You may know us from our
hit podcast Root of Evil. That show is about our

journey of coming to terms with our crazy family history
and our connection to the Black Doll Your murder and
George Hodel was the prime suspect in the Black Dalia case.
He was also our great grandfather and Russia and I
have dealt with this fact are in tire lives and
we did that with the help of our mother, Fauna Hoddel.

and that to overcome evil you have to face it
head on, and that's what we're doing in our new podcast,
Facing evil. Each week, we're digging into real stories of crime, murder,
and more to expose the evil in the world. And
we're learning about the people taken from us too soon
