Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up. Yeah, he's ready. It's the Ultimate. It's the Ultimate,
and we're bad. I was thinking that's how we should
start this episode with that. I missed you guys so much.
I really did well. I kind of missed you well.

(00:22):
He's probably saying that because I've seen him a few times.
We haven't seen these two beautiful people and audience. I
just want to start off and say I genuinely missed you.
I missed doing this. Um, I find myself doing the
show alone, Like in my shower. I'm like, I'm like
thinking of a funny anecdote for the podcast, and because
we're not doing it, I'm literally like doing it out loud,

(00:43):
telling the story because I just don't have a way
to tell the story. So you so it's like you're
practicing your your Oscar speech in the shower. What you're
practicing exactly, I'll go this would be I'm you know,
this will be a funny. Hopefully I'll remember some of
them for today, but I'll be like, oh, this be
such a funny podcast for it, but we're not doing it.
So I just start going into like telling the story

(01:04):
out loud in my shower. Nothing, yo, listen, I got
so much I want to talk about it. I know
there's so much do you want to talk about? I
know you guys have things you want I know we
all have things we want to talk about it. I
think we should start it off with saying, how great
is it to come back and talk about Scrubs again.
Let's start there. Okay, let's start there and say, I'm

(01:26):
so excited to talk about Scrubs again. But then let's pivot. Yeah,
he wants to pivot right away, and I know he
wants to pivot and for the first time. Don't worry everybody,
we're gonna get to Scrubs that we're gonna talk about
episode seven or two my hard Labor, a very good episode.
But before we talk about Scrubs for the first time,
what Donald wants to pivot to. I genuinely want to

(01:47):
talk about two because I think it's fucking incredible, Holy Cassie,
and and I think it's like one of the best
Star Wars things I've personally ever seen, one of the
best shows of the year, which is incredible. I never
thought we could say that about a Star Wars. I

(02:09):
never thought that I'd be so excited to talk about
Star Wars. As Donald, here's the crazy thing. The crazy
thing is this is like the most unconventional version of
Star Wars, right, Like, this is the Star Wars that
everybody kind of said they wanted, and when they kind
of got it was like, I don't like that shit anymore, right,
But now it's just executed so well. Tony Gilroy and

(02:31):
his brother Dan Gilroy, I think that's his name. Holy cow,
you have created adult Star Wars. This is the Star
Wars that no kid is gonna sit down and watch
because they talk too much and there's too much a story. Right,
if you're a kid, it's totally boring. I said to Donald,
what is it about? This is like incredibly done, and

(02:52):
he's like, yeah, it's adult Star Wars. And I didn't
realize because I'm not the mega fan that you guys
are that like, these are all forever have been aimed
at chill dren, even the original one obviously, and this
one is like what if we didn't aim at children?
What if we aimed at adults and had adult dialogue
and limited cute, adorable creatures. And I just think it's

(03:13):
so incredibly directed and written and every department should win
the Emmy. I mean the design, design alone, special effects
and design alone should win. And I can't think of
the last time I was watching the show and I
paused it to IMDb who the costume designer was, and
it's Michael Wilkinson, who I have to say, did Garden

(03:35):
State and I was very, very proud to hear that.
But he's obviously gone on in the years since to
become one of the top people on earth, a huge
costume designer. But the costumes are fucking incredible. How about
in this last episode the shirt he wears with the
tie um, you know what, I'm yeah, everything, the design

(03:55):
of these costumes, I mean, there's no way he doesn't
win the Emmy for costume Design. It's their incredible. Well
this is the first time. And the sets, I mean,
because they're out of the volume on this show, they're
not just using the volume and they really yeah, they're
on locations and they I mean there's obviously what they
call set extensions, you know, um, you know, they're shooting
in a contained set and then they make it look

(04:15):
infinite and huge. But it's so well done. That's scene
with the sets with him and his in his new cubicle,
I want. Don't worry. I don't give a spoilers anybody.
I'm just going to talk about vague things. But like,
I just think the design of these sets, the design
of the costumes, of cinematography, acting across the board. Um,
it's really really good. We saw the cubicles. Did you
think of Brazil? Yes, it's definitely. And also, um, there's

(04:39):
another movie, uh um, what's the there's a Coen Brothers movie,
Hudsucker Proxy that doesn't and also the Apartment the original
was the Jack Lemon movie. It also has it also
has elements of THHX. Also you know what I mean,
Like it's it's It's just it's well done. Like the
Easter eggs aren't I mean other than in that dude

(05:00):
shop and what's his name shop the Easter eggs? Or
aren't in your face like you I don't. I don't
know Rogue One at all. So I like when when
certain characters again Nose Brothers showed up in this last episode,
I assume they're in Rogue One, but I don't. I
didn't know, Like you know, I didn't know. I've never
seen the movie, which I'll now watch because I like

(05:20):
this show. Someone Yeah, it makes it makes it makes
Diego Luna's entrance into Rogue one even more like they're
following that version of his character so well. Like throughout
the movie. In Rogue one, Diego Luna's character Cassie and
and Door is coming to grips with all of the
shit that he's did in the past, and at the

(05:42):
end of it, he's like, I gotta redeem myself in
some way. I've done so much Fileshit. This might be
my one moment to really make it up to the galaxy, right,
I've done so He's like, I've done so much fileshit
in the name of trying to save the galaxy. This
is my moment, right. And so when he's introduced in
Rogue one with the guy who could barely walk and

(06:02):
you know, and the outcome that happens when the guy's like,
I can't get out of here, it makes it even
more realistic. Like before I was like, damn, that's a
cold blooded dude, But now I'm like, I get why
he's cold blooded. He's fighting on the side that you
know has very little room forms. What about what about
the I mean again no spoilers, but the way they
do that prison and like the whole idea behind that

(06:26):
prison and I mean the sets. I mean, I mean,
I can't you guys listen? I don't know if you're
If you're listening and you're not watching the show and
you like good things, watch it. You don't need to
know anything about Star Wars. It's its own entity, obviously.
If you're a Star Wars megafan like these two, you're
gonna get or three. I forgot, I forgot. If Daniel's

(06:49):
not a fan of anything anything, wow, wow. He likes
video games except for video games. Can you turn off
that focus thing that that you're doing now? It's why
you guys all have that on. It's so my background
is atrocious back, who cares? No one's gonna see this
and you're yeah, there's somehow working better than yours. Thank you. Anyway,
Daniel only loves video games. He does not love story.

(07:10):
Asked Daniel, if you love Star Wars? Asked Daniel, do
you love Star Wars? I of course love Star Wars'
love it? Like it? Okay, fine, I like it. I
don't know why you're telling Daniel what his level of
love is, because love well, I just want to say
the audience, if you're on my level where you're like, yeah,
some of it's good, but I'm not obsessed like Donald

(07:30):
and Joel. I find this to be a whole other level.
And Donald explained it to me. It's like, yeah, because
they're not tiptoeing the line of making a show that's
perfect and aimed at children. Well, and there are guys
who don't like Star Wars, which I think is a
brilliant thing to do. What do you mean by wait?
Straight up, like, I don't like Star Wars because I'm

(07:51):
not interested in Star Wars. When he talked to his
writer's dam, he's like, please don't throw me a bunch
of Easter eggs. Do you not talk about He's like,
we're not going to go treading over old stories. He's like,
that's not what this is about. We're going to stay
focused and it's going to be a political thriller, which
George has tried to do. But to your point, Donald
constantly is batting back and forth between like, well, let's
also entertain the children. But I remember in the prequels

(08:12):
he has all of these long discussions about like trade,
roots and you know, policy and stuff, and people got
really bored with it. But here it's it's biting and intriguing.
I mean, there's a scene where two people are just
walking through a party discussing, you know, a possible rebellion,
and you're on the edge of your seat. You're like,
oh my god, please don't get caught. Who knows what?
What is that sideways glancing and the acting is so

(08:34):
good Stars good dialogue is so good. The dialogue is
the best Star Wars dialogue I think, truly. Well, it's
also it's it's also I mean, all Star Wars is
shot to be like, you know, a poem, you know
what I mean, It all kind of has to rhyme
in the words of George Lucas, but this one does,
except it takes exceptional I guess, interest in that. Whereas

(08:56):
even that scene that you're just talking about, where Monmoth
was talking to her childhood friend and they're talking about,
you know, possible ways to get money for this rebellion
that she's trying to the secret rebellion that she's trying
to fund, it's done through like this uh this I
don't know what. I want to call it shantilly, but

(09:16):
it's not. But it's like the spider web of decoration
that surrounds the house, and so it's told through this
web as she's trying to you know, uh, weave a
web around this guy, you know, and and and cloak
herself within this web of deception. It's like, fucking amazing, dude.
But any direction that was still excited for Mandalorian excited

(09:41):
for the first time in this whole show. I'm the
one who still wants to stay on a Star Wars topic.
And this is the last thing I'll say that episode again,
no spoilers, but that episode where they pull off the
thing is yeah, the heist is one of the most exciting,
well directed action episodes of TV. I was on the
edge of my seat there. That's the other thing. Last thing.

(10:01):
They don't have to get into crazy action sequences. Everything doesn't.
Everything can still be contained in this show, you know
what I mean. It's not like at the end of
every episode there's this gigantic special effect that needs to happen.
There's not. There's episodes where nothing happens and you're like, wow,
that's that's still a great That was a great episode.
The last one, This last one, I mean, there's not

(10:23):
a ton of action, but it was incredible. Yeah. Anyway, um,
last thing before we switch to Scrubs. House of the Dragon. Okay,
let's get incredible. Another show? Shit, what is going on?
Another show? Dear another one? Another one? Dear u? K, yes,
you have great actors. K stop off A right, it's true, man,

(10:49):
I I I think that I don't know if it's polarizing, Joel,
You'll tell me if people are polarized on the show.
But I think it's incredible. Yeah, some people have issues.
I would say the main issues are the amount of
traumatic burst scenes. Some people felt difficult to watch. That
was that was all of them? What a fucking actress
she is? Well okay, well hold on, but the most

(11:12):
recent one, the most last one okay, yeah, sure, there
all horrible That first one yeah yeah, and then the
other one. You know, she didn't think with her daggers.
They put up warnings. The warnings because there's also some
domestic violence, because people who've experienced like wow, that was,
but people have experienced bad childbirth. You do not want
to stumble into that show. But but I have to

(11:34):
say that actress I don't know her name. I'm sorry.
Will you look at up talking about Darcy? No? I
believe she goes by they what is their name? Sorry,
the blonde the blonde lead Emma Darcy, Emma Darcy. Holy,
they are incredible. I'm obsessed. Well, I don't think I
don't think there's anyone out there who isn't. Yes, yeah,

(11:56):
yeah with them right now? Yeah, what I mean, like,
but just incredible acting list okay, yeah, an incredible actor, sure,
but also has this incredible aura off the camera that
is like, holy, everyone's talking about that drink thing. I
kind of missed the drinking she gave it. They about
a drink and then what happened and went viral. Oh no,

(12:17):
it's just they have This is the first time I've
ever experienced something like this where sexuality is out of
the window. When you look at this person, like it's
like you are just there's just something really captivating about you.
And it's not and and and and and part of
it is sexual, you know what I mean? And and
but there's no sexual you know, uh, connection to you know,

(12:41):
it's really interesting, like you're saying, you're saying you're attracting
to a non barinary person. I believe that's something that's Okay, Donald,
that is what I am saying they're very interesting. That
is so like, there's not a lot of people walking
this planet that are like Emma Darcy. And then to
see their friendship with Olivia Cole, who's just like one

(13:03):
of the coolest people and kind of has that we're
going for her where you like pass were like that
lady is cool with hell Like what's her story? Uh?
And their friendship is very Let's talk about Patty Constantine
Patty um and as front I mean, he's gonna win
the Emmy, he needs to, um. Matt Matt Smith. Wow,
you guys, I started watching the behind there's a whole

(13:23):
series of behind the scenes of how they made this
show and the money. I know Game of Thrown spend
a lot of money, but these they look like they're
spending even more now. Yes, and if you love behind
the scenes stuff, I really recommend it's not just like
the little snippets. First of all, there's my trainer actually,
the one who told me that after the show. They
do that a lot. Well I knew that they do it,
but I never watched them. But they really help you

(13:45):
for the album. They help you for all the things
they went about them went above your head, which I like,
but then then I discovered there's this whole series. It's
just the behind the scenes like how they made it.
And if you love production and behind the scenes stuff,
it's so cool because there's you cannot believe the amount
of craftsmen and artists that created this world, the amount
of money they expan I mean, it's just so fun.

(14:06):
I mean it's very rarely, very rare that amount of
money on a piece of art gets spent like this,
And so if you're a geek like me about that stuff,
it's fun to watch that show. Well, that's what we're
learning a lot now about some of our favorite things,
you know what I mean, some of our favorite action
packed things. These are These are two properties that had
so much action and so much sex and so much explosion, etc. Etc.

(14:31):
Involved in it before that. Now that it's trimmed down
to just storytelling, it's become something yeah, really amazing. It's
a good way to put it. Both shows, both previous incarnations,
I have so much action that that that was in
these incarnations. Action is less in the foreground and it's

(14:51):
more about fascinating characters and dialogue, you know what I mean.
This is what everybody's been waiting for with Star Wars.
I don't necessarily you know about Game of Thrones, but
this is what everybody's been waiting for. At least a
lot of people have been waiting for with Star Wars.
You know, even your kids interested in all in it? No, No,
they could care less. My kids. They like Mandalorian, they

(15:13):
love Tales of the Jedi, which just came out, which
is amazing, Which is amazing, It was amazing. I've watched
I watched all six Yeah, because I read that the
ratings are down right, Joel. Because kids don't give a
far but but that's fine. There should be a space
for an adult should be I think a lot of
people are not connecting to it because there's not a
mean Star Wars character, right, Like and Or is in
one movie, Uh, small spoiler he dies. Everybody dies in

(15:35):
Rogue one. And I think you know that by now.
It's not a small spoiler. It's not a small spoiler.
It is it's anything. Everyone. It's a non jo It's
a non spoiler, Joel. Everybody knows that, thanks Joell. I
haven't seen it. Everyone except for Zach Zac's like, how
come and Or didn't show up? And returning the Jedi though,

(15:55):
but yeah, exactly know enough about those Star Wars Universe says.
I think that, uh, it's taking people a minute to
come over to it. But hopefully now that we're starting
the spread, more people are doing their reviews. Hopefully you
guys turn a couple of people onto It's important to
me that this show, I think I want to turn
people all over the world. Hell yeah, yeah, Watch and
or Guys, it's so it's so good. And watch House

(16:17):
of the Dragon. It's so good. Other than those two shows,
what else are we watching? I'm Late to the Boys,
um and no one. I mean I had heard whispers
about The Boys, but I finally tried it and it's incredible. Hey,
that's so exciting. Then I love The Boys. Zach loves
a superhero show. Try to wrap my mind around it. Well,

(16:39):
if you make a sport, if you make a superhero
sual like The Boys, I'm down. That is not I mean,
it's so smart and it's so clever, and the acting
again is incredible, and the writing, and I just think
it's I'm sorry, I'm late to the party. It's one
of those ones that I totally missed. And you know,
you know those shows that you keep hearing about, but

(16:59):
you just never tried. You just never get around. And
then finally you give it a try, and three years
in and three three seasons in and you're like, this
is great. Wine Woods took me so amazing. That was
That was my wife with six feet one. I took
my wife. It took my wife almost twenty years to
watch six feet She finally didn't. By the way, by
the way, if you haven't watched six feet Under, that'll

(17:21):
still hold up. You can watch that too. I have
a good palette cleanser for us. Right before we start
talking about scrubs, are you ready? Yes, Hey, this is
a bob Joel. I know we're supposed to comment on it,
but I just want to say, hey, Donald, you love

(17:45):
it always end you love it? Donald, I don't. I
don't love it. Oh man, you really don't like it.
I love it. I love t Swift, I love all
I love most of her music. I can't say I
love all of it. But you don't think that's a
that's a fun girl pop bop. What is going on

(18:06):
in your background? Daniel? Oh my god, Daniels at man,
out of the shot he has he has the background backgrounds,
little pieces of a man's torso appearance. You know what's
going on over there. My Stephanie's brothers are in town

(18:30):
because we're having a party this weekend, and they're staying
in the office and so no, they're staying in that
room naked right now. Oh my goodness, Daniel, Daniel, you
might as well take the blur off because that just
made that the background. Because I was looking back, we
were all like what because audience the only thing that

(18:51):
came into focus with his soft background, it looked like
somebody was trying to pull a dead body from onto something.
A shirtless man was in the background, just trying to
pull Well, anyway, I liked that song. You know. I
love a good pop song, and I think that's what
the kids call about. I'm gonna tell you something right now.
It's no, it's no freaking wrecking ball. Okay. I'm just okay.

(19:14):
But you haven't put it on once in your car
and gone head. No, hey, no, you know, you know, okay,
speaking of songs that speaking of songs that everybody's playing,
I did play that God Did from DJ Khaled over
and over and over again. Jay Z's verse in God,
Oh my goodness. And oh not only that, not only that,
but Little Wayne's verse in that as well. Holy cow.

(19:37):
But you know I'm gonna hip hop head, So yeah
you are. Wait, you haven't listened to God did Daniel? No,
I'm not keeping up with DJ Khaled, DJ Khaled? Another one.
You're trying to get into a day shoon what you're
trying to do. Don't worry. The sounds effects machine is on. Everybody,

(19:57):
fuck your sound effects machine. Yeah, but it's on. It's ready. Yeah. Well,
I just want to say seven stories about show we
made about a bunch of doctor nurses said stories. So

(20:19):
gada around here? Are yadoo around here? All right? Everyone?
We promise, we promise, we promise. We're here to talk
about the television shows Scrubs. We are on a season
seven seven h who Sorry, we were gone so long.
Everybody Donald was working and we have to congratulate Donald

(20:42):
because his pilot got picked up. I did a big out. Okay,
this is big. I'm sorry, this is big. Listen. I've
been on big shows before. We're people like Zach Braff
and creat us like Bill Lawrence and stuff like that.
But somehow I did it again. Holy shit, I did
it again, Freaking Michael Malley, John Kryer, and Abigail Spencer.

(21:03):
Also Tom Warner, Holy cal from Carson Warner. You guys
know what that is. Remember all the shows you used
to watch when you were a kid, all of the
shows at the end of us to have Carson Warner
on it. Well, I'm now working with Tom Warner, owner
of the Boston Red Sox, and I play freaking the
owner of the Boston the Boston Celtics, who is an
actual character, who was actually real person named Wick. So

(21:26):
it's gonna be on NBC. It's gonna be NBC back
on NBC Primetime. Everybody, Donald Phayz on the Legend. It's
not me, I'm with, I'm with I'm with some of
the best too. Holy cow Zach listen, listen, bro, yeah, bro, Yeah,
I'm available for a cameo. Thank you. You're gonna have
to do. You and dou Let Hill on my first

(21:47):
two calls, I'm telling you I'm there. I'm already in costume.
Can I wear this? You can wear that? Yes? Anyway,
It's amazing, Donald prime Time, We can't wait. And I
made a movie. I think it's really funny with Vanessa
Hudgins and an amazing French Canadian actress named Evelyn Bruchu
and it's called The French Girl. And uh, we had

(22:08):
a blast and I laughed my butt off. Dude, this
was a great It was a great hiatus. I know
everybody is a little upset that we were gone. I've
read it in my comments that people have missed the podcast.
I get it. I missed the podcast too, But I'm
gonna say something really quick. It's really awesome too. First
of all, Daniel and Joel were very busy with their
New Girl podcast. Yeah, I'm sure. I went well having

(22:31):
Zoe by the way at lunch, and I forgot to
bring you guys up. I saw Zoe d No, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I haven't seen her a while. So we
were catching up on other things. But I forgot to
mention our mutual Daniel and Joel team. But the hiatus
was great. I'm really happy to be back with you
guys again. This is gonna be I mean, we got

(22:53):
we got two three more seasons, were running out of seasons,
so we have to save her, save save the flavor.
But also not only that, I like, I'm still really
interested in the idea of having callers call in and
pitch what our next what the podcast should be, what
the podcast should be one, and what our next show

(23:15):
should be. Just suggestion. I love that idea. If you
guys could email us at uh scrubs iHeart at gmail
dot com with a voicemail just telling us what you
would like to see in the future seasons, then we
can you know, discuss and contrast with multiple people's thoughts.
Y'all here else feeling it? Wow? Could we even play

(23:38):
those on the heel? That would be interesting? Love all right,
so send us a voice recording. UM, now are we
asking for We're asking for pitches? Well, Donald, you said
two different things. One is what do you want the
podcast to become after season nine? Right? And you know
there was a season nine of the show. I had
no idea and then then and then the other thing

(23:58):
is what do you want the Knew Donald and Zach
TV show to be? Right? Or movie? Whatever it is?
I think TV show would be fun, A limited series
would be fun. It would be nice. It would be
nice to do a Star Wars with you. Oh, hold on, listen,
I'm hear me out, hear me out, dear listen, Bro listen,

(24:24):
I'm trying to put this on the white board. First
of all, the white board works, but I'm trying to
put this on the white board. White I want to
make I want to put this on the white board.
We play. Okay, So back in the day when dark
Horse used to have Star Wars comics, they had these
two imperial characters that were kind of like not a
part of Cannon, but like little what are the cartoon

(24:47):
strips at the end of every comic called Tag and Bank,
right tagging Bank were two imperials who were like fucking
fuck ups in the Imperial Army but had their own
adventure and stuff like that. Sometimes sometimes they died in
the comic book, sometimes they lived and stuff like that,
Like they go up. It would take place in uh in,

(25:08):
in the Star Wars world. What if you and me
were Tag and Bink. I'm in But you know what,
I just like that, you said. Do you remember how
I don't watch South Park, but there's a character that
dies every episode? Kenny, all right? So what if? Um? Like?
The one of the conceits of the show was that
we each episode, we die, and we die some hard.
No one's ever done that, like other than like I

(25:30):
don't know. Yeah, that was Eon Flux. MTV had that
show where the character at every episode, at the end
of every episode dies. Oh, I'm just saying that'd be
a funny show if like the audience, the conceit is that,
like they're gonna do their best, but we all know
they're gonna die. Hey, don't steal that. If you're listening,

(25:50):
we're gonna use that. Okay, But well, what I'm trying
to I'm trying to remind every one of the sound effects.
You honor me, Well, just play play the one that
you want to play about the ass play play I'm
sorry here it comes. Do you want the long version
of the short version? Let's do the long version? Okay, everybody,
whether it'd be taking a poop, whether it be a finger,

(26:11):
whether it be a tongue, whether you know, everybody likes
a little ass play, it's the true. All right. Well
that's a good segue into a show about babies. This
is seven or two my hard labor. The theme is

(26:34):
clearly babies and having babies and dealing with babies and
raising babies. It's directed by the one and only the
our pilot director are the man who set the tone
for the whole show, Adam Bernstein And um, and we
open with you know, if you recall JD, isn't this
weird conundrum where Kim is back. She's been caught lying

(26:57):
that she wasn't pregnant when she in fact is and
they're living together and she's already back into full I
love you mode and j D is not there yet
and not ready to say it back. He well, he
senses it's coming from her, and so he's trying to
dodge it because he doesn't want to tell her that
he doesn't have the same feelings that she does. Right,

(27:17):
And he's trying. He's in a weird place because he
doesn't he's trying to get there. I mean, she really
did something that was so horrible, lied about having a miscarriage,
right and and uh, and now she's fully pregnant and
she's kind of rushing him to get back to I
Love you, and he's he's torn. He's trying to be
a good dad to be, he's trying to be a
good partner, but in terms of getting to I Love you,

(27:39):
he's he's battling whether he's there yet and she's not.
Come on, both yeah, and She's like, let's get there now,
and yeah, and Elliot is. Elliot's running around the hospital
being dissed by Keith. That's yes, her. Keith is so
upset still that understandably, Yeah that she you know, uh,

(28:01):
not only did she force him to engage his to
be to promise to was it to betroth? He promised
to he promised to be her husband someday, and then
in the process of doing so, she realized she doesn't
love him at all. Yeah, but Elliott says that a lot. Well,

(28:23):
she didn't do it last She j did it to her,
So that's true. That's true. This is but I mean, honey,
we can all agree with what she did to Keith
is so fucked up. It's the exact same thing JD
did to her. Really, I mean, I feel like that
episode was at the end of last season. She where
she was like on again, off again, on again, off again.
It was like torture and in front of the Hole's

(28:44):
hospital was watching from the windows. Yeah, poor guy. Yeah,
But anyway, Keith Is just says she's disgusting. I mean,
it's a pretty pretty talk about a pretty uh tricky
thing to do. Try and work with the woman who
just broke off your marriage, uh, engagement. That's why you
don't take people at work? Well, Keith is finding out
the hard way. Why why that's not a good idea.

(29:07):
Elliott has a flashback, which is rare. All right, then
we don't do that two munch with Elliott and um,
it's that she won't say terminal to any patient. She
a voice saying the word terminal. Right, so somebody has
an inoperable brain tumor and she informs the patients loved one,
and the patients loved one asked, well, is it terminal?

(29:30):
And she's like, no, no, she knows she's I think
she said I wouldn't say that right, And then he
goes so she he has a chance to live, and
she goes, no, it's tricky. Now we enter a scene
where you call me Nilo Wafer. Can we talk about
a scene? Can we talk about it? Seem Batro, who

(29:51):
is one of our very funny writers who plays Josephine
with the high pitched voice. Yes, that voice is ridiculously annoying.
It I think it's seemed did that voice? And Bill
was like, okay, well, now you're on the show because
we have to character Oh you can't even listen to it.
It's so it's so good and annoying. Cox's trying to

(30:14):
get her not anything. It's super funny. Yeah, he made talks,
makes her write stuff down on a piece of paper.
But then when she says spoiler alert, when she checks,
just like Police Academy. Almost where at the end of it,
she finally says it in a normal voice, Yeah, we're
your doctors. Yeah, I think it goes. How come you
don't talk like that? And she goes because it hurts
my voice turns is obsessed with a video game? Now.

(30:39):
I looked this up on Scrubs Wiki. I guess I
have a couple of questions. Okay, how come there's not
two screens? Why is there not two screens? It's not
even two guns, It's like it's just one. Yeah, that's
a big that's a big plot hole in this realistic Okay,
now I looked it up. I guess it's supposed to
be like a like a Halo thing, but it's but
it's actually a real game called Enemy Territory Quake Wars. Daniel,

(31:00):
you probably twitched that. Oh, Daniel loves his video games.
If you look at his Instagram, guys, Daniel, what's your
Instagram again? DJ underscore Daniel, there's there's your there's your
brother in law back? No, no, why it's so funny.
He kind of looks like you, Daniel, your brother in
law looks like an UFC fighter. No, he looks like

(31:21):
he could be Daniel's real brother. All right, he's trying
to tiptoe. That's funny. Tell me he didn't sneak in
and out. Tell him, tell him, tell him he was
not smooth. We saw it, all right. So they're playing
Enemy Territory Quake Wars, which scrubs Wiki reveals wasn't even
out for Xbox when the show aired. A little trivia
for you there. Nobody cares, Trevor, Okay, But most importantly,

(31:43):
the whole conceit is that it's a two player game,
and every time they cut to the screen, we only
see one person playing with one gun. Yes, so there
you go. Maybe both players. Maybe one person does direction
the other person does. No, you wouldn't. Whomever whomever you
play with, and I think you play with three people
in this episode. You never see two two people playing

(32:08):
like somebody somebody effed up the I'm not gonna Halo Halo.
I correct me if I'm wrong. Halo. Back in the day,
you used to be able to have two screens, right, yeah,
up up four couch co up. Oh yeah four. We
used to do that. We were making Last Kiss. We
would all huddle almost seven out on. Oh yeah, did

(32:32):
you guys play Golden Eye on the game cube? That's
the first one? Yeah, man, everybody did. I didn't. It's funny.
There was a game cube there was was it Golden Eye?
It was golden I wasn't it. That's what it was.
There was a Golden Eye joke and in the movie
The French Girl, I just did and I was like, guys,
I don't know if everybody knows Golden Eye, and the
director was like, dude, everybody knows gold It was the first.

(32:54):
That one and that one and Star Fox were the
first two. I guess Duke knuke them also like we're
the first two. Duke Nukembe, Duke nukemb Yeah, I think
you said Duke Nukem. I said Duke Nukembe. All right, audience,
that's anyway. But those are like the first. It was

(33:14):
at first player games where you're running around multiple and
multiple people could play and you shoot each other. Yeah,
your first person shooters. Well, we used to do on
on Last Kissles we all do the huddle in someone's
hotel room and we would do the four screen thing, right,
but we all be in one space. It would be
just the four of us, like, you know, like against
each other in one room. You know, you had that

(33:37):
mode on Halo. Yeah, and it was just you know,
and we would just go at each other. And it
was one guy, Eric chrishn Olsen was amazing and he
would kill us all every time. It was so fun.
There's always one. I used to love playing star Fox
when star Fox came out back in a day, because
you could play you know, the split screen, but also
you could play a tank, a ship, and or a person.

(33:58):
Uh if you got if you got to a high
enough level, if you beat the game over and over again,
the co op mode would turn into more you'd have
more options. So it would start off where you're just
everybody's in a plane, But if you beat the game,
then you could get the tank, and so somebody could
play the tank while you're in a plane, and if
you got shot out of the tank, you could freaking

(34:20):
beat the per You could run on the ground and
pick up power ups and shoot people and it was
hard to find you when you were a little man
and stuff like that. Yeah, but that was Star Fox.
So people don't do that anymore, right, Like, if you're
playing with a friend in the same room, do they
still do the split screen thing? They do, but it's
better if the person has their own port. Like you
can take your Xbox or your PlayStation with you wherever

(34:45):
you go, now, so you could set up a small,
tiny monitor and play. So that's what people do. I
would rather do it that way, where I can look
at my whole Yeah, here's you're like, where are you great?
I was never good enough. I was never good enough
to be a multi asking look at anybody else's screen,
all right? So my baby pager gives off and we

(35:06):
have a three person celebratory jump hug, and I say
I'm gonna be a Oh you say I'm gonna be
a bluncle, black uncle. Yeah, now this was hilarious. Colin Hay,
I have a fantasy where Colin Hay comes out of
Kim's vagina singing come from the landown Under and you're
like that, So that's what that songs about. Beautiful accust too.

(35:34):
It's really funny. Oh my goodness. First of all the
sound of him popping out of the vagina, but then
the guitar that was it really likes no, it was
way more graphic than that. It was like a oh gosh,
like they really like they didn't say like oh he
really he really directed them to be like no, like

(35:56):
make it the sound if you pull the guitar out
of someone's vagina, or maybe maybe without the strings, without right,
But that was funny. It's good to see Colinny by
the way, that version. Um, you know, if you gotta go,
we always plug Colin. He tours NonStop, So go see

(36:17):
Colin hayat down. Wait, hold up, isn't he on tour
with Ringko Star? Isn't he on tour with Ringo Star?
They are looking it up for us, but um, go
see Colin Hay when he comes to your town. Not
only is I think he's a part of Ringo Star's
band right now he plays all those songs but acoustic
and just like this, and it's they're so amazing stripped down.
And then he also plays all the genius songs you

(36:40):
know and love that we put on scrubs and he
also tells the funniest anecdotes. It's like half stand up
because he has the funniest stories. I did laugh when
Kim say she wanted her baby to feel like a rainbow.
When it's no way, you missed the timing. So he goes.
He goes, uh, um, don't worry, it's gonna be like
passing a marshmallow. And she goes, that's sticky and weird.

(37:01):
And he goes a unicorn and she goes, that's a
giant horse with a horn on its head. And I go,
I go, passing a rainbow. She goes, oh, that sounds nice.
It would be nice to pass light through. Yeah, passing
a rainbow the most JD thing ever. Passing the baby's

(37:25):
gonna be like passing a rainbow. But now Kelso lives
in the hospital, Yes he does. We're starting to do
you know why Donald because Enid uh something with Enid.
Enid caught him hitting on her speech therapist. But wait
a second, wait, en can't. It's like she has no

(37:48):
like she's like one of those patients that doesn't move
and steps food through. No, I think she's in a wheelchair,
because he says that she rolled in so I think
she's in a wheel Yeah, but like I think she's
in a wheelchair with very little like she just has
a finger that can move type situation. Like. No, I
don't think she's she's I think she has more she
has more ability than that. I don't know, but she
definitely has a speech therapist that Kelso tried to bang.

(38:12):
So the janitor agrees to play the video game with you. Yes,
the tour with Ringo Star. So let's read this real quick.
So Colin Hayes touring solo in the UK right now.
Yeh was touring earlier this year with Ringo Star. But
that's where has come to an end. Okay, go see
him everybody in the UK or wherever he is when
he comes to your town. He tours pretty regularly and

(38:32):
you will not be disappointed. I drink good coffee. Oh
every money go on comes from a place that all away.
And when I'm done, I feel like talking without you.
He there's less to see. You know what movie soundtrack

(38:55):
that's from Donald? It's one of your movies. Come on, buddy,
last Kiss. Oh, I know it's right. It's the one
with you and Sutton Foster. No, what's the one with
what's the one with you and the girl from the
real world? I mean that's last kiss you know, Padme,

(39:16):
the one with me and Padme. Oh yeah, I knew
that would land. It's from Garden State. Yeah, wait, that's
what that's what you know one? You know the soundtrack,
the one is that what? The one with San Holmes
in it? Too late? The late Surrian home Rest in Peace? Okay,

(39:38):
a scene boxer we talked about. She's hilarious. Um, there's
only one gun in the video game. Now, so Kim
starts going to labor and now this this this um
sort of stereotype of women getting belligerent when they're giving birth.
Donald you would know firsthand does this really happen? Um, well,
it didn't happen with Casey because Kim really fulfills the

(40:00):
stereotype and started getting what did she? But hold on, now,
what did she expect? What? You know? This is where
this is where it's like, all right, I get it,
he doesn't love you, and that's kind of hurting your feelings.
But you also lied about being pregnant. She's lied about
freaking not you know what I mean? And and and
he's said, you know what, I'm gonna quote unquote do

(40:22):
the right thing and stick by you. That doesn't mean
this brother got a freaking in a less than in
less than a year, be like, I love you less
than a year, dude. It's we're talking like the time
of like a month maybe right, Like, how is that?
What do you expect? What do you you expect him hormones? Though, Yeah,
that's what you. I knew you always gonna say that
because I think that the idea is that she's crazily

(40:45):
you know, in that crazy state of where where again
I've never been through it, but where women can sometimes
be like I fucking hate job. You know, she's like
there and and she just can't send her her words
and so she's like, say I love you or it's
over and he's like what, But it then is over
because he doesn't say it, Yeah, because he doesn't want
to lie. He's like, he's like I need to you know,

(41:05):
I'm still figuring out my stuff. He's trying to. But
I don't think that's what she wants though. Look at
the end of the day, maybe she finally feels like
what I did was wrong, but releasing j D now
or you know, ending the relationship now isn't necessarily gonna
solve the problem. Uh uh, you know that's not gonna
it's not gonna fix anything. If anything, it's gonna make

(41:27):
it even more difficult. You know. I would say, let's
see what happens when the baby's born you're around the baby,
because what happens when she decides I'm out, I'm gonna
go live in another city? Right? Well, I don't think
she has a leg to stand on with this argument,
but that doesn't mean that she's not going there. Um,
she definitely has a leg to stand on. It's her baby. Well,

(41:49):
he can't stand on the baby. Know, I'm saying she
doesn't never, she can't stay on the baby. That's not good.
That's no I'm saying. She her argument of like say
I love you now or it's over is makes no
sense and it's fair. That's what I'm saying. Yes, that's
what I'm saying. Okay. Well, Cox's storyline is he's running
all over around the hospital. His child needs a shot,

(42:10):
and he doesn't want to give the child, his own
child a shot, because it doesn't want the child to
associate him with pain. Jordan is fast asleep and couldn't care.
But also the pediatrician is doctor no shot. He feels
the same way doctor Cox does. He's like, if I
have to give this kid a shot now, every time
they come see me, they're going to be afraid. Not.
I wonder if that's a real thing. If there's pediatricians

(42:32):
who always make the nurses give the shot, I wonder
if that's a thing. Let us new listeners. Yes, if doctors,
doctors who nurses who aren't yelling at your device, let
us know. You know what, my kids pediatrician never administered shots.
It was really Yeah, you'd think it, he would think
because of how loyal we were to the truth and

(42:53):
everyone saying that this is the most accurate show that
they wouldn't pull that out of their butt. But who knows. Hey,
By the way, this is the first first although mask
covered appearance of Shirley formally Laverne. Again, um, we don't
go there yet. All JD says is like she looks
oddly familiar or something like that. The hair is different,

(43:15):
that's all. The hair is different. And she says. All
she says is who did he? Uh? Who did he
say that too? I think I remember that correctly. Someone
says like that he doesn't love me or something. Who
do you say that too, she says, And then and
then someone says the mother of his baby and she says, no,
he didn't, or every heere what the baby delivering doctor

(43:38):
is obstetrician? I never had one. I don't know it
could be anyway. So that's the first appearance of Shirley Um.
As as you've faithful listeners know, um. Bill Um killed
off Laverne because he was thinking that the show is

(43:58):
probably gonna come to an end and we needed a
dramatic uh he does season six would be the last season. Yeah,
And we got three and then we got and then
we got another season. And he felt really bad because
he's a very compassionate man, that he put Alma out
of work. So he said to her, don't worry if
if we happen to come back, I'll make it that

(44:19):
you come back as your twin sister, Shirley Laverne. And
surely that's hilarious. And I remember Aloma being like, well,
I'm gonna do it, like just to be different, like
with a Southern accent or something, and Bill and she
did it for like like one scene, and Bill was like, yeah, no, no, no, no,
don't do that. She surely has the same accent as Laverne.

(44:40):
It's rare that I laugh at my my own performances.
That's not true. But go ahead. But when Church says, oh, yeah,
well I'm finishing this game, and you give her a look,
the look that he gives and the look that he
gives Carla, I've given that look before. Let's say, Donald,

(45:03):
I know I'm dead, I'm going out with the Bad.
I'm going now, I'm going That's like, you know what
that look is. It's like the guy who's like Kimba,
what is it when he screams and goes into the
game the video game guy? Right, right right, I'm going in.

(45:25):
But even though I know I'm gonna die, I'm going in.
That shit made me laugh so hard. And that's the way.
You're wearing a very nice Optimist Prime eighty four T
shirt the whole episode. Well, then meets the guy. Don't
you want that shirt? You rock that shirt in real life?
Have you seen that Optimist Prime that actually transforms toy
robots in disguise, Well, you've seen that. It's so cool.

(45:48):
I wants face the Bad to destroy the Donald. Do
you want that to be your Christmas present. It's a
trans listen please, no, no, no, I don't want it.
I give it to Rocco or he's no, no, no no,
none of my kids want that either. I guess it's

(46:09):
very cool. The deer has How about this deer has Bro?
The trans the automatically transforming optimist Prime is really cool. Yes,
you know what else is really cool? Gifting it to
two podcasts. Blacks Black series vehicles are cool too. So
like if you could come out with a Black series

(46:30):
X Wing has Bro or a Black series Millennium Falcon
or a Black series Razor Crest. I get the vintage
collection as a smaller size, and it's easier to do.
But a Black series freaking Starship sounds one more thing.

(46:51):
So what sideshow collectibles. I see what you're doing, yo,
side show, I see what you're doing. You're coming out
with one six scale vehicles. Holy cow. I got the Blurg,
I got the freaking all right, shut up, wait, let
me finish. I got the Blurg, I got the swoop Bike,
I got the Speeder Bike. I can't wait for the

(47:12):
Naboos Starfighter. Okay, that's what I'm talking about, all right, listen,
We're gonna take a break and we come back. Dear
dear mesico me. We'll be right back and we're bad. Wait,
I gotta give you some of this real quick. I

(47:39):
know you missed that funky. I want to give all
the audience all their greatest hits. By the way, this
is not an ad, but can I tell you that
the Hundai Ionic five one motor trend SEV of the Year.
So do you think it was us or do you
think it was Jason Bateman. I think it was. It
was a team effort. I also think the engineers who

(48:01):
built the car probably something, but maybe maybe maybe. I
do feel proud though, that the the thing that we
endorse is one SEV the year. I feel like I
was on the team. I feel like I feel like
I feel what it feels like when your sports team wins.
Donald Well, we can honestly say, we can honestly say
in this situation, we did it. We did we did it.

(48:25):
I sent that I sent when they when the when
the Ionic five one Motor trunk card the year. I
sent it to these guys and I was like, guys,
we did it, Like we Hey, guys, our initial drawings
and all our engineering, we did it. Elliott knows JD well,
Elliott knows JDS so well. That was such a great
little seed plant right there, because now we know where

(48:47):
this is going. If you're smart, when Elliott comes in
and says, oh, you're having a baby and she knows
that you love the jumping up and down hug. Even
no Turk said it was corny. That's a little that's
a little. That's a little seed playing a little Easter egg.
For those who are really paying attention to this show

(49:07):
at that point, If you're a Scrubs fan and you
were watching this show and that happened and you didn't think,
oh shits something about to happen with these two, you
really aren't paying attention. But how we do. Yeah, it
is a sweet moment that Elliott like gets j D
and all his dorkiness. You know what I'm saying. Yeah,
she loves it, she loves it. She does love him. Everybody, No, wait,

(49:31):
I want to talk. Don't start singing Christmas yet? Too soon?
It's not too soon, not too soon for the Mariah
carry song. When do we have to hear that? Maria?
As soon as soon as an efforts, as soon as
Halloween is over. As soon as Halloween is over, the
day after she unlocks the vault, she spends that thing
after Halloween, Thanksgiving, after Halloween, because that's when the money

(49:51):
starts coming in again. She's like, let me open, let
me open the boat. She makes a year off that song.
Come on, buddy, got a she got a Scrooge mcdun
She got a Scrooge McDuck vote that she opens every
year and swims in the money that she makes from
just that song alone. Dude, By the way, I told

(50:13):
Donald he was surprised here. I love Christmas music. I
like when it's the season, Like I listened to Elvis Christmas,
um Ella, Elephants, geld and Louis Christmas for Christmas? When
that Peanuts Christmas? When when when Mariah Carry's song comes,
I don't put that one on. Oh you gotta listen.
It's such a great. No, I don't put on pop

(50:38):
hold on now, I'm boy. I think Crosby Mariah Carries
All I Want for Christmas is going to go down
in history as a classic. We should make a Christmas movie.
Oh like to be on Hallmark or not? Like a
Hallmark one. No offense the Hallmark ones. But I'm saying
we should make like our our sense of humor, but

(50:58):
like a Christmas holiday. Okay, So which McCall that made that?
Uh yeah, him and Anthony Mackie, but ours, ours would
be different. And also I think there's was about Hanaka specifically, right, Well,
Anthony Mackie wasn't was Anthony Anthony he was not Jewish.
But yeah, I think the film did center around Hanaka. Well,

(51:20):
ours wouldn't necessarily be Honeka centric. Just I don't mind
it being holik concentric. Honick eccentric sounds fun, okay, But
I'm just saying we could just make a holiday movie,
all right. If you hate the idea, you didn't, didn't didn't,
didn't Adam sand don't make one call eight Crazy Nights
or something like. It is a lot of cursing in
that one. Yeah, yeah, I want to talk about how, um,

(51:43):
you're playing the video game and Kelso says, hit him
with the lamb and in the game, and he goes,
I was talking to your wife. Hit him with the lamb,
hit him with the lamp. He's hammered. So Kelso lives
in the hospital now. So he's just sitting in the
break him getting hammered with a plumbox mug. Well, will

(52:04):
you guys play the video game? Right? Well, Carla reveals
that she's been playing the video game for a long time.
She discovered it when at home with Izzy. Right, I
wish my wife would discover video games. Well, ke, I
thought this was a very thing taken from your life,
because Carlo steps in for the janitor and she reveals
she's been playing all the time when she's up late

(52:24):
with Izzy, and you say, You've never been more sexy
than me in my life. At one point, when me
and Casey were dating, I bought her a game Boy.
Remember when game Boy had like the three D version
of it two? Right, And so she would play She
would play Lego, any of the Lego games. So I
bought her Lego Star Wars. She finished it, and I

(52:46):
was like, oh, this is cute. So I bought her
all the Lego Star Wars. She finished them. She finished
all the Lego Harry Potters. Right. Yeah, she loved the
Lego Harry Potter because you had to do the thing
with the wand and stuff like that. She loved that one.
But I just remember thinking, holy shit, look I got
me a little gamer, and I was, and I was.
I was hoping that would turn into her and her

(53:07):
underwear playing video games in front of me right eventually,
but it never did. After a game boy, she was like,
this is dumb. Isn't like a thing on Twitch? Like
like girls who play but they play like in their lingerie. Daniel, Yes,
and they're not allowed to be naked. But to Beta,

(53:28):
do you play in your underwear ever? Daniel all the time? Wait, Daniel,
what's the funny rule? Like there was like a controversy
like they can't be in a bathing suit unless they're
in a hot tub or something. So they sit up,
so they sit in the hot tub and they play
in their game in the hot tub, or or they
just sit in the hot tub and talk to people.
But okay, but you could be naked in the hot tub,

(53:49):
but you could be No, you can't be naked. You
can't be naked. Women were trying to correct me if
I'm wrong. They were trying to just play in a
bikini and then they meet a rule saying you can't
be in a bathing suit unless they're in water. It's
you know, it was some very like it's like a
hodgepodge of different like rules they were trying to establish
at the same time, because like you know, it was
some you know, trying to policing what women were wearing.

(54:11):
And then they were like, well this is too revealing
or it's way to cycling, and some people were is
it only is this a rule that only applies to women?
Like a dude can be in his swimsuit and not
have to and not feel the ridicule of the twitch
community because they're in there because they're a boy. I
am not one hundred percent sure, but sure a guy
can play in shorts. I mean you can play in shorts,

(54:34):
for sure, but like, yeah, you know, can you play
you in your shorts topless? Is my question? A boy
a man? Yeah, I have seen that. I don't know
if that those people are still like anything. I have
another question. So you're saying that a woman can play
in lingerie though she just can't play in what's like
a brown underwear. I think it's I think they fall
into the same category. Wow, someone's job is to police that.

(54:55):
I know, it's all right, it's yeah, it's unfortunate. I
I would pay money to watch Daniel in a thong
play video games. I'm not gonna rinkay money. You can
just go a second. Daniel, are you telling me that
this is your twitch? I'm throwing ass all the time.
I can see where that would be attractive though, A

(55:16):
beautiful woman um playing video games in lingerie. I mean
it's you know, I can see where people would like
that if you like the video game. I could see
where anybody in lingerie playing video games is alluring. I
can see I could. I cannot Daniel an offense, Dan,
I don't want to see Daniel lingery. Dude, there's listen
out without calling HR, without calling HR, without calling HR. Daniel, Yes,

(55:39):
I really do believe that you can make some money
if you were. I don't think that's Dan's five. Daniel's
vibe is being funny and making quirky comments about the
game he's playing. Zach nailed it, thank you. How do
you make quirky comments about like why don't you tune in?
I've tuned in? No you haven't. I definitely have, absolutely

(55:59):
has he We talked about it on an episode. Yeah,
he came out sushi. Yeah, muck banging, muck bang. Yeah
he was doing a muck bang. We not even can
you muck You can't muck banging your lingerie either on YouTube?
You're in a hot tub? Can you just be on YouTube?
Can you muck bang naked on YouTube? Joel? Yeah, no, No,

(56:21):
you can't be nudity. There's no but Twitter you can
be nude. Yeah, they have porn on Twitter, Yeah they do.
And Elon Musk is about to take over, so who
knows what's going to happen over Yeah, listen, I'm sorry man,
that listen. Yeah, I'm not gonna say I don't know
anything about anything when it comes to when it comes
to the ship like that, but I have a feeling

(56:43):
that it's about to get really dangerous in a Twitter
verse show, like really really fucking dangerous. I've been off
of that for a while. Um, although I do, I
do occasionally like retweet something or check it, but every
time I come off, I feel like I have to
need a shower. Yeah it's um, it's hey, what was
the thing you wanted to? Um? Donald? Donald? The stream?
Oh the steam? Dude? That shit looks fired. Dude, do

(57:10):
you have one? Don't? I don't, But imagine it's like
a big switch that you can play computer games on,
like you can play again. You could play you could
play real games, you play independent games, or you play
you could play Grand Theft. You can play all of
those games. Steam Steam is basically like the iTunes of
video games and all sorts four PC for PC for PC.

(57:30):
But they made this device called the Steam the Steam
Deck that is like a big Nintendo switch that plays
all of the games on Steam. How much is it?
Like like six hundred dollars. There's like a bunch of
different tiers. Here's the thing. It's hard to come by.
It's hard to buy now too though. That's the other thing,
because I get I don't know. I didn't. I hadn't

(57:52):
heard of it until like a couple of days ago.
But I guess once people found out about it, that
shit became like a black like it's on stock x
That's how that's how dope it is, like you can
literally take your pieces news. Yeah, it's came out with
them last year. It's just that the demand for it
was way higher than the production, so like Steam was like,
oh shit, we have to make a lot more and

(58:13):
now they're like easier to come by it. But it's
like it's these different PC games, not like Xbox or well,
xboxes Xbox is somewhat PC. Like that's oh, so all
of the games that are in the Xbox are likely
also available on PC. Sure something, definitely a lot of them.
But moreover, it's that so many games that were only
for PC are now available in a handheld form. I see,

(58:35):
I see. So you don't what about independent Like if
you're a small independent um, you can also like put
your game out on Steam. Put your game out on Steam. Yeah,
you could say, you could. You know, most have you
played like weird independent small batch games? So many that's
a world I don't know anything about. So many five
dollars video games that are just like really really silly

(58:56):
and fun or just stupid. You know, it would be dope.
Remember the game x An x Wing Alliance Verse Tie Fighter.
They need to they need to. I know, there's I
know that there are still patches out there where you
can play it and stuff like that, but it's not
necessarily connected to a specific server, so you have to
find a server and all of that stuff. They need stuff.
That's what I don't understand. When a platform, if you've

(59:17):
got to kill a platform, don't kill the server, dude.
Let the servers still stay up man, like cost money
to run those servers if there's only five people on them. Like,
it's like that's why they remaster games and rerelease them.
So they kind of like, you know, you can make
money by selling it again, but then also repopulate some
of those servers and stuff like that. They need to repopulate.
They need to repopulate the x Wing Verse tie Fighter server,

(59:40):
or at least just put the game out so it
can play, so you can play the single player mode
of it. What do youcause, guys think of the leak
of that of the new Grand Theft looks awesome? Oh man,
oh I can't wait. I feel so bad for those developers,
but yeah, I'm excited that it's coming out. Well, I mean,
I understand no one wants a leak, but to me
is someone who doesn't play the game was like, that

(01:00:00):
looks like it's going to be incredible. Yeah. Yeah, I
think I think that is the exact response that anybody
should have to it. It's like, oh, great, the game's
getting made and it's look it looks great. But some
people are like, well, if you look at that pixel
over there, it looks like that's from that so lame
it was leaked. That's so lame. It was leaked under development,
Like that's people. That's why people are That's why when
they you know, you see those pictures of the cars

(01:00:21):
that are coming out covered in all those weird tarps
exactly because they're trying to test drive it without anyone
going like, why don't they do that to the bumper?
It's like, come on, man, No one's look and being
like I don't like the fact that it's black and white.
It's like that's what literally they all look like. I
I all I know is I want that steam Deck
more than anything right now, Like I want that so bad.

(01:00:42):
I can't I could taste it. I looked I looked
as hard to come by I have. I have so
many other questions. If anyone here from steam Deck could
help Donald, yeah one dear steams willing. Oh look all
of them, he says, they're available. No, you have you
have to you have to become U. You have to

(01:01:03):
become a member first for stage it's free, right, but
then after you become a member, I don't know. Are
they ready to ship already? Yeah, delivery in one to
two weeks. I'm looking at the website turn turns shut
the fuck up. Hey, most expensive one is six forty nine. Yeah,
and then she just want his three ninety nine. I
want to get this. I want to. I want to,

(01:01:23):
I want I want to. Doesn't look like your wife's
gonna see you for a couple of weeks. Now, my
wife isn't. My wife don't see me anyway. My wife
don't see me because you're doing animation because I'm always
in my animation room. Zact right, and I'm always working. Baby,
your wife is so cool. She really you really did
find the perfect wife. I'm gonna tall you something right now.

(01:01:44):
As long as I ye, as long as I let
it leave her ass alone, we're good. It's funny because
Casey watched Casey and I watched the same shows. So
there'll be times when, like, I know Donald's not watching
the show, and she's like you watching the new the
new season of the Vow or something like that that
like should should talking remember at the cult? And like
she's like, she's like, my girlfriend, we're like both up
at late talking about the Vow. Could we know Donald's

(01:02:05):
probably Donald's definitely not watching it or stinking, But Gaizy
and I like the same shows. And I'm like, I
know Donal's gonna watch this, but are you watching X
y Z. You gotta watch this. I'll be I'll be
sitting down, I'll be, you know, working my puppets, trying
to stage him and stuff like that in the in
the dining room while she's watching that ship and the

(01:02:28):
freaking her phone will be like, ban, yeah, it's me.
I'm like, who the fuck are you talking to? It's like,
can you believe that someone so just said? This is
that freaking doodle bugging about fucking vow the Vow or
watching the Vow television show? Oh tom Er, I have

(01:02:49):
made it through, dammer. I had to pause. It's so upsetting. Yeah,
that guy is such a good actor. Though he is
a good actor. I can't watch it though it really
I have to. I had to stop. I'm gonna finish it,
but it's so upsetting I had to. I had to
take a break. Nissi Nash, Wow, she's the neighbor. All right,

(01:03:18):
all right, well let's finish up here. Donald Um. Really
the theme is every parent needs to take a little
time off. Well we were that's one of them. As parents.
Casey and I I don't know if we are anymore.
I'm sure we still have some of these qualities. But
we were helicopter parents. We hovered over our child so much,

(01:03:39):
and we were trying to protect our children so much,
you know what I mean. Um, But eventually you got
to back off, man, because you don't want that. You
don't want that kid that, trust me, you don't want
the kid that's been helicoptered over, that's been hovered over
their whole life and protected like that. You want kids
to make mistakes. You want them to, you know, you

(01:04:01):
want them to believe it or not. You want them
to get hurt, You want them to you want them
to injure themselves. You want them to go through all
of this. You might not want it to be severe,
and you might not want it to be you know,
something that's that that that that takes something away from them,
But you want them to experience all of these things,
you know. And if you're over them trying to protect
them always, you're not You're not doing a good service.

(01:04:24):
You're not doing you're doing a disservice to your child.
Yeah and so, but also but also you guys, you know,
I think you know you're you're a good you're a
good ying yang for each other, with with taking turns,
with giving each other a space to do your own thing,
Like she lets you go do your animation thing. You know,
you let her have her her time. Well, it's more

(01:04:46):
of her giving me my space to me giving her
her space. Like we are all on top of my wife.
I'm not gonna lie to you, from Wilder to Rocco,
to me, to my to to her, to the kids
that aren't even hers, you know what I mean, We're
all on time of her. We all give her stress,
we all give our stress and she and she handles
it and she deals with it with grace and Zach,

(01:05:10):
I love you. Yeah, it's amazing. But I think that's
what all of these people are going through. All of
these characters are going through on scrubs. They're going through
that moment of of you know, where can I deliver this?
I don't want this stress anymore? Who can I put
this stress on too? And who's willing to take it
from me for this moment? Because I need a break,

(01:05:32):
like Carlin needs a break. It's clear Turk is being
selfish and he takes multiple breaks. Cox is like I
need a break from I don't want to be a
bad guy, even all the way down to the freaking
she sleeps to the whole episode, you know what I mean,
Like it's it's it's very shot a week this week. Yeah,

(01:05:54):
they were like the line bed and sleep and we're
gonna shoot you from a couple different angles. She was like,
can I really fall asleep in satin and sat um?
I laughed out loud. When Kelso is talking to his
son Harrison, yes, and he says, why can't you still
be with Gary? I always liked him? And he says,

(01:06:15):
what do you mean he stole your feelings? But that's
my lads, that's one of the last things I have.
Harrison cannot find a good Harrison was sleeping or the
guy that Harrison was dating not sleeping? You can he
must him? Yeah, he probably drugged him. And yeah, Harrison

(01:06:36):
woke up in a cold bathtub. Harrison really cannot find
true love? Right, Okay, So at the end of the episode.
At the end of the episode, Sam has arrived, and
I found it so surreal that the baby's name was Sam.
You know what I mean, I never put it. I

(01:06:57):
never put it together because Sam Lloyd was alive when
we finished all of this, of course, you know what
I mean. Get where you're going with this that when
you watch it now and Sam is now a part
of this show, it means you know now that Sam
is gone and we miss him tremendously, but just it's
it's it's and I know Bill didn't do it on purpose,

(01:07:20):
but it's just such a great reminder, great person, you
know what I mean. And so when that happened, I
got a little emotional. I'm getting a little emotional right now, actually,
but I got a little emotional, like just thinking about
Holy cow. You know, Sam Lloyd's not with us anymore,
but Jad's son's name is Sam, so in a lot
of ways, Sam is still here. That's very sweet. I

(01:07:42):
did not think of that, but I like that a lot.
One of the last funny lines that I thought was
when Elizabeth Banks says, I hate your hair and they impossible.
Nobody was that ever a conversation when we were making
the show, Like people were the fans. I know, the
fans hated that. I said, That's what I'm talking about.
Like a lot of fans hated that. Like that was

(01:08:02):
Remember we had the whole show about complaints and one
of the complaints in real like Bill took all of
the complaints that we got. We were talking about that
right there that I always I don't think. I don't
think people. I didn't know that anyone carried. I was like,
you're what you talking about Willis? I thought it was funny.
Everybody needs to talk about Willis. There were a lot
of people that did not like it. I don't agree

(01:08:24):
with those people. And the show runs with the Jose
Gonzalez song Heartbeats, which is such a beautiful song. Um,
it's so moving, huh that and montage to that song.
Do you remember that other song by Don Johnson called
Heartbeats hotbeat, I'm looking for a hot remember that Don

(01:08:44):
Johnson had had a career look as a singer. As
a singer, look it up now, No, I get it
right now for you. I had sorry. I was on
t Swift midnights. Let me go to Heartbeats by Don Johnson.
I'm just saying, I don't think it's going to be
at the top of the spot. You want somebody that
I don't know, But you're taking chests at me looking

(01:09:06):
like it's like, damn, it's seven seven, that's not that's fire. Diet, diet, diet, diet,
diet diet. Yeah, I never knew that Don Johnson had
a music career. Eighties rocks, very hardy. I don't care

(01:09:34):
what you can give it away. Yeah, Don Johnson, your
money don't mean much to me. That's all we got.
But that's Don john Yeah. I should have picked the
chorus out, but then I'm looking for Okay, don't hurt
the babies that are lunching. All right, everyone, that's the show.

(01:09:56):
We are so excited. You have a newly invigorated uh podcast.
That's true. That are so stoked. We can do something
dope for you guys, though I don't know what it is.
Maybe we do another show where we watched the show
and we pressed play at the same time. Again, I'm
open to anything and everything. And this is so fun.
And I missed you guys, and I love you guys

(01:10:17):
and Donald. I'm so happy about your show getting picked up.
I'm happy about so many things. You know what we
didn't do today? What? And we should do it now?
At the end of the show, what, Daniel, Joel, what
have you guys been up to? Yeah? What have you
guys been up to? Joel? You always has so much
going on. I think you were at the Were you
at the world premiere of Wakonda Forever? Yeah? You saw
Wakonda last night. I want to talk about this. I

(01:10:39):
didn't go. She's not allowed to, probably because she's a journalist,
or are you allowed to? I can be very I
can be very broad about it and say that this
is a film about grief, but so much more about
how you process grief way after the event, right, And
I think that that's really special and unique. And I'm

(01:11:00):
so impressed with what Ryan Coogler has done. Um, I
heard so many things without spoiling anything, I heard that
there are just so many things that happened in this movie,
like a lot, a lot happens, and it's wonderful and
and I think especially you know, I went and saw
with my friend Danny, who's Mexican, and our friend Chyenne,
who's Nigerian, and so just to get that kind of

(01:11:23):
like representation, and you really just you feel the like
level of dedication to like accurately portraying these cultures and
it's it's so beautiful and wonderful and the like the
comedy is like over the top, but then so is
the action. But it's grounded in that heart, and I
think that's really hard. I mean, we've had a slew

(01:11:43):
of really bad superhero movies, um, and so they're so
talented that yeah, yeah, it was really good. It was
a fun night. I was about to say, I'm just
gonna say superhero movies seem to be going a different direction,
like and Supero television seems to be going a different
direction now where it's it's it's it's it's I don't

(01:12:05):
I don't want to say it's saturated, but it's very
it's a lot of it. There's a lot, a lot,
a lot of it. And so how can you be original? Now?
Is the question? With all of this. That's what makes
and Or so cool. And that's what makes House a
Dragon so cool because it was so they were, they were,
it was everywhere at one point, and now we've made
it so that we don't need all of the spectacular.
Just tell me a story, exactly, trait. You know, if

(01:12:27):
the script is good enough, you don't, you don't. I mean,
obviously we want some action in an action show, but like,
if the script is good enough and the actors are
good enough, we'll just listen. In this giant epic to
two incredible actors talking, you know, right, And so I'm
I'm hoping. I've heard great things about Wakonda Forever and

(01:12:48):
I'm really excited to see it. But I'm hoping, you know,
I'm hoping that Marvel and DC start to I mean,
she Hawk was a version of that, but that was
meant to be campy, and it was meant to be,
you know what I mean. It was, but it was
meant to be. It was meant to be that. It
was meant to be. It's meant to be a television
show based on based on it. It's meant to be

(01:13:10):
a cheesy sup Yeah, it's meant to be. I watched
all of it. I interviewed the creator, Jessica Gao on
my show comic Metapod. It's no fatigues for the show. Yeah,
don't know, Joel give us a shout outs to Joel's podcast,
Yeah kamakon Metapod with Hector Navarro's my co host. He's

(01:13:31):
brilliant and so insightful and very very funny. We've gotten
a chance to interview a lot of really cool people.
Jean Carlos Pasito was our very first guest Jessica Gao,
creator of she Hulk, was on. We had the guy
who wrote the Daredevil episode of she Hulk, which I
think was everyone's favorite episode of that series. We've got
some good stuff coming up, so you can definitely bounce
over there and check it out if you like talking

(01:13:52):
comics and nerdy stuff. We do a ton of reviews.
We watch everything. So I think our next episode is
going to be a breakdown of the Star Wars new
animated series Tales of the Jedi. Now is that Tales
of the Jedi? Is it gonna We'll get into it later.
But anyway, you said you interviewed the director of the show.
Did you tell her that it wasn't true of the

(01:14:20):
open the interview by saying this isn't my favorite. Yeah,
you know, I did bring up like I was like,
you know, I didn't understand this or you know why
this choice? You know, we're more asking. But we also
did review the show and I talked about you know
what I didn't didn't like, and I did for a
pop culture Happy Hour over on MPR, and I think
for me that show was like it had a lot

(01:14:40):
of lofty goals and it's really hard to do a
nonlinear sitcom in a series like the whole entire universe
is built on like what happens next and who's coming next,
and so a show that's like not at all interested
in that stuff, it's a challenge to blend that into
the rest of the Marvel Cinematic universe. I think a
season two, which Jessica is not sure she wants to
do at this point. She was like, I'm tired. She's like,
I've just had a baby. Basically, well, and that show

(01:15:04):
did not was I mean it was. As a Marvel fan,
I'm I'm for all of it, but there are a
lot of people out there that hated that show. You
didn't watch did you watch all the thing I watched?
I watched every Donald So Donald's so loyal he'll even
watched even watched every episode when he doesn't love it.
I love it all and I hate it all, you
know what I mean? Like, I'm I'm in it. I'm yeah,
I'm in it to when it no matter what it is,

(01:15:26):
you been Daniel, Now, okay, Duels had her turn. Daniel,
what have you been up to? Hell's life? Oh it's
all good. Um, last couple of streams, I was doing
a charity stream for an awesome organization called Gamer's Outreach,
and that one really well. Um and uh, other than that,
I've just been planning an engagement party that we're having
this weekend. That's the other big news. Amazing, that's it. Daniel, Halloween,

(01:15:52):
are you dressing up for you? Yes? A, yes, indeed
it is. You know what this is coming out after
the want to reveal we are dressing up as the
cover of a romance novel. So I'm doing I'm doing
a fabio look. Stephanie is doing the damsel in distress.
But we're also creating a book cover that we're holding

(01:16:13):
in front of us, where it's us riding off into
the sunset on a horse. And um, the title of
the book is Love Unhinged, because yeah, that's such a
that's such a great idea for a costume. Thank you.
By our two, you're gonna want to ditch that hole.
Oh yeah, we're gonna we're gonna take a couple pictures

(01:16:33):
that we're gonna put out. Good to see you. Yeah.
One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was dressing
up as a gorilla for Halloween. Man, I thought, I thought,
this is the simplest costume ever by our It was
it's cold outside and I'm sweating like a freaking banshee
inside of a freaking gorilla suit. Yeah you are you?

(01:16:55):
Are you dressing up all No? No, no, I'm just
gonna Are you gonna go to any parties? Do you
want to go to some Halloween parties with me? So
this comes out after Halloween, so I could tell you
what I dressed up as. I dressed up as myself.
I dressed up as Murray from Clueless. And my daughter,
my daughter is dressing up as Dion and my dressing

(01:17:17):
up as Share That's amazing. And we tried to get
my son to do I was like, Rocco, why don't
you dress up as me? And I'll dress up as
somebody else from the movie. And he goes, no, I
want to be Allen Iverson. So Rocco's dressing up as
Alan Iverson while we dress up as a as a
cast of Clue. That's very cute. Are you gonna take
a picture and post it so I can let her?

(01:17:38):
I'm sure, I'm sure. Yeah, I'm sure she has it
under control. But is Casey's gonna wear the yellow plaid outfit?
I think so, and I'm hoping and I'm hoping that uh,
that night, she and I get to role play where
Murray ye Share Yeah, Murray and Share decided yes can you?
Can you posture? Are you willing to post picture? I

(01:18:00):
don't think I'm allowed to postpone last case that Okay
Alaska though, zach Alaska though, because you know what she does?
Love me all right? We love you guys five six,
seven Stories about show we made about a bunch of
doctor nurses and the Canada who loved me. I said,
he's the stories never should know. So gada around you.
