Speaker 1 (00:03):

It's myself Scott Bogmin app Bogmin Sports with Pat Fitzmorris
at fits Underscore ff answering questions directly from the listeners.
We have them come up on the Discord stage with us,
(00:25):
ask us their question or put it in the chat
and we answer them. Here. We are here every single
Tuesday at five pm Eastern answering questions for around an
hour ish. So if you guys would like to come
in and listen, you know, drop your questions. We get
to as many as we possibly can fits. How you
(00:46):
feel in training? Camps are opening in full swing, We've
got some injury stuff coming in. We've got position battles happening.
What's your overall feeling right now and tomorrow two days
from now as we're recording this Hall of Fame game?
So football on a Thursday this week?
Speaker 2 (01:04):
How cool is that? We get the Chicago Bears. I
don't even know who they play, to be honest, the
Texan Bogs. Oh it's Bears Texans.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Interesting? Yeah, that'll be fun.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Good, I think I am starting to activate my BS
detector on some of these training camp reports and it's fun, Like,
you know, guy makes spectacular one handed catch, never mind
that he hasn't done anything in four years that he
makes a great catch, and now is you know, gonna
be like a target for fantasy And just the one
(01:35):
piece of news I always fade out of training camp
is like rookie running back is running behind some bomb
veteran like Jared Patterson ahead of Kamani Videll and Chargers
training camp.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Like that was a report.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Okay, great, but like if Jared Patterson was going to
be a thing, I think he would have gotten traction
by now, like after being in this is what is
fourth NFL training camp and hasn't ever earned any significant
playing time, So like it's the veteran deference thing.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Like every coach.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
You don't think Bateman is gonna be one of the
best wide receivers in the league this year?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
I know, Jim Hart or yeah, John John Harbaugh said that,
didn't he Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:18):
He one of the best. Yeah, like one of the
best in the league.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Come on, yeah, I mean like and I'm kind of
a Bateman truther, but man, that is just over the top.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, it's the Uh, that's why we have the coach
speak index, right, uh, and that that's why they have
a job and uh, you know, to kind of suss
out all of this stuff. So yeah, look, there's there's
a lot of there's a lot of nonsense going on
right now. There's also a lot of guys that are
in the best shape that you see how great of
(02:48):
shape AG Dillon is in fits. He's so good, right,
that means we can ignore Marshaan Lloyd, right, because AJ
Dillon came to Camp Fit. Correct, No, exactly, man.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah, the aj Dillon thing, I mean, come on, yeah,
I know the guy's got his big quads anyway, but
he does look gotten bigger.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Really.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, be a model. There's plenty of model jobs out there,
and they're not nearly as physically taxing. So I'm probably
just see now I'm doing the over correction because I
was so high on AJ Dillon last year. But let's
get into it. Let's start answering some questions from the audience.
We're going to start with Dusty. Seems like Dusty was
in here before anybody else, raising his hands. So Dusty
(03:33):
van City, come on up and hit us with your question,
my friend, what do you got for us?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Hey, guys, I actually sniped the first spot position because
clear you actually was first, and I threw my hand up,
but I immediately saw his go up after he went, oh,
no hands. I just like tried to there, but like
he'll get there, He'll get there first. You know, I'm
(04:01):
practicing my mock draft stuff, right. But before I get
into the question, I did want to say. I remember
last week I think you said something about your your
hip hurt and and uh and you were talking about
maybe getting a new chair. Honestly, sleep with a pillow
between your legs. Because I work in trades, I got
(04:22):
a tool belt on hurts all the time.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
So I started sleeping with a pillow between my legs.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Saved me thousands of dollars going to the chiropractor to
get that from my side joint.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Look at this. So I'm here to answer advice, and
I'm getting advice. I love it. Thank you, Dusty.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
I sound like a clickbait thing, though, doesn't it. They're
just like chiropractors.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Hate him with this one him because of his one trick.
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 6 (04:48):
Yeah, tune in to find out.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
So anyways, the question was, I have this Dynasty team,
and I keep picking away at it and keeping mulling
it over, and now we're coming to the point where
points are about to get scored. But I'm a little
concerned because I only have two qbs. Now they're both great,
but my third is freaking Desmond Ritter like oof.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
So yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
So I'm at the point where I think like it's
still a rebuild though, where it's gonna be like not
win this year when next year. And I'm at the
point where it's this could be a team that either
goes it's boombust goes off and I make it to
the Fantasy playoffs like well deep into like per second
(05:39):
third area, or everyone is just like blurning the ropes.
People get injured and.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
I trash my draft position.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Now obviously wouldn't be doing that on purpose, but because
it is Dynasty fourteen team superflex, it's probably not worth
it to try and trade for a QB three better
off just like hoping someone pops off this year and
get a draft pick for next year. Or is it
like no, if you're trending up, maybe move some pieces
(06:11):
and get that third If you think you can do
a surprise push for this year.
Speaker 8 (06:15):
I'm wondering what you guys think.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
What do you think about that scenario? Fits? Is this
something because my first thought is, let's wait till we
get like a month into the season, and then you're
gonna see some teams falling off, some teams rising, and
if you're one of the rising teams, maybe then you
hit up one of the teams that's falling down the
standings a little bit. Or is this something that you
would rather solve before you know the season gets going,
(06:41):
because the player a lot of times costs less in
the offseason.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
No, I think I'm inclined to agree with you Boggs,
and especially Dusty if your team's kind of in purgatory
where you're in between contending and sort of retooling for
twenty twenty five. Yeah, you mentioned it's a fourteen teamer too,
So I would expect in a fourteen teamer once the
(07:06):
buys start hitting and the injuries start to mount, probably
not everyone in your league is always going to be
playing a quarterback in.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
That super flex spot.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
That's just how it is in fourteen teamers positional scarcity.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
So you've got your two right now.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
I think probably a lot of teams are, you know,
fretting about that third quarterback. So I think you're okay
to just sort of roll with it now and not
trade valuable pieces from this team that you like, at
least for the future, if not for this year, just
to have that peace of mind with a third quarterback
(07:46):
in a league where not a lot of people are
going to have peace of mind because they're fourteen teams.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Okay, anything else, nuy.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
No, I think that's pretty much it. And then also
was just going to check in to make sure Fitz
did his homework and go stuff for his micaus. It
sounded much more clear lately. And uh, I'll break it up.
So much good good stuff. And I heard you talking
about your new mic setup too, so excited to excited
to have stable connections for you.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
That's right. We got Grandpa Fits all set here as.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
The new mixer hopefully is doing the trick.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Sounds good. Today we are going over to row Brow.
What's going on? My friend? How you doing what he
got for us today? Row you there? You can't hear him,
can you? Fits? I don't see the box movie?
Speaker 3 (08:37):
No, he tried to unmute, but it might be something else.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
All right, yeah again down, well, yeah, we'll get you
back if you can figure out what the audio issue is.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Devastated, what's going on? Devastated? How are you are?
Speaker 3 (08:51):
There?
Speaker 9 (08:52):
We go?
Speaker 1 (08:52):
What's going on? Devastated? You there?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (08:57):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 1 (08:57):
We got you now? What's going on? My friend?
Speaker 10 (09:00):
Hey, how's it going?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Guys doing great?
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Doing well?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
It looks like you have an IDP team. You just
dropped in the chat here. I'm looking at your roster
right now.
Speaker 8 (09:11):
I did, and you guys helped me out a couple
of weeks ago. But I feel like I felt like
I should elaborate a little because I didn't show you
guys my roster last time we chatted them, and so
I just had a couple of questions. The first was
what if you were me, what you you would do
with the one point six and then the two point
(09:34):
oh four, five and six? I have those picks too,
And then I dropped my CD LAMB trade and was
just curious what you guys.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
Thought about that trade.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Let's see, so you you flipped CD or you got CD.
I got CD, so you got CD. In a second,
you gave up metcalf debo, A first in twenty five,
a first this year in twenty five dollars in fab budget.
That is expensive for CD, but I do think, I mean,
(10:06):
that's probably the type of cost you're gonna see. Maybe
I would have taken a first round or out of here.
What do you think about this deal, FITZI, I.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Don't hate it. I think it's yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I mean, I've always sort of wrestled with what to
make of Deebo's dynasty value. I feel like it could
crumble pretty quickly, or I could be wrong because it
seems like he's often underestimated and then Deebo just turns
out to be a stud kind of year after year,
just in sort of different ways. Yeah, I don't think
(10:45):
it's a bad deal. I think you paid a pretty
hefty price. I wouldn't argue with anyone said you who
said you paid maybe a little too much. But man,
I mean, now you've got a CD LAMB and Jamar
Chase Corps at wide receiver and Jalen Waddle. That's that's
pretty electric. So I cannot argue with you going out
(11:06):
and getting that.
Speaker 8 (11:09):
Okay, great, Yeah, I think I did pay a little bit,
but I know it was gonna take a little bit
more to get him, sure, and then.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
For a reason I can't, like I can't maximize his
team to see it. So, uh, why don't you tell
us what do you think the options are going to
be for these picks? Devastated?
Speaker 8 (11:29):
Yeah, so I have the one point zero six, and
it's possible, according to your guys' draft analyzer that A
Doons falls to me, but I'm pretty sure Bowers will
if the Dons A doesn't. And my tight ends are
(11:51):
Jack Johnson, yeah, Conkland, Like what's the guy for the Rams?
Like the number one for the Rams?
Speaker 9 (11:59):
Right?
Speaker 8 (12:00):
And now I don't remember his name that log.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Theoretically it's Colby Parkinson, but I've also heard reports from
like Jordan rod Rieg, the beat writer, the Rams by
writer for the Athletic. I think she thinks it could
be Davis Allen. No, that's that's a pretty vague situation.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
And they both go away and Bigbee comes back, so
you know, and.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I know, I know Bogman and I would have no
beef with you taking brock Bauers at one oh six because.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Not he's going to be a stock.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah, he's going to be a stud. So I've so
let me ask you this, Fitz, if Rome is there
is Rome so good that he supersedes Brock Bowers, or
with this situation in particular, are you still taking Bowers.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Look in a vacuum.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
I have, oh doun say, ranked one spot ahead of Bowers.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
But considering, considering that.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Devastated is sitting on Jamar Chase and Ceedee Lamb and
Jay and Waddle and has Tyler Konklin as his starting
tight end, I would probably flip hours ahead of Odune's
a priority.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
All right, So that is easy. That one's easy. Did
you say you had an IDP question, devastated or not?
Speaker 8 (13:15):
Well, now, just you you saw my quarterback situation and
running back situation, and I was sitting on the second
like the two four, two five and two six, and
just was curious what you guys would do do there
if you would go heavy quarterback like bow Knicks, And.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Yeah, I do think yeah, if either Knicks or Pennix
fell to one of those second round picks, I think
you would be wise to jump on either guy.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
And yeah, like other than that, I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Maybe you'd always throw a few more logs on the
fire running back. I mean, I'm always so wide receiver focused,
but like top three wide receivers on this team are
just so good. I know you could use a little depth,
but I don't know, Maybe a combination like that two
O six might be the sweet spot for I don't
(14:16):
know what.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Ricky Piersoll or.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Burton boy, yeah, Burton, if you're a fan of that,
there's some worthy running backs around there. Maybe like quorum
falls around there, Marshaun Lloyd. So you know, if you
came out of this with.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Like Bowers backup quarterback.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
And then like you know, one good running back, one
good wide receiver, that'd be a pretty good haul for
you in the first two rounds here rookie draft.
Speaker 5 (14:49):
Okay, awesome.
Speaker 8 (14:50):
Not that answers my question perfectly.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Thank you, Dev, appreciate you. All right, Let's see who
we got next? B Dev? What's going on? How we
do with my friend going on?
Speaker 11 (15:04):
Boys?
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah? Join here?
Speaker 10 (15:07):
How are you legendary Bogman and the infamous Pat fitz Morris?
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Get I get infamous?
Speaker 10 (15:13):
I'm flattery sure, Yeah, good to be here, you know,
longtime fan, first time on this shindig.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Here, but appre it?
Speaker 10 (15:22):
Yeah, just I dropped my team in the chat, kind
of just looking for you know, I'm an infamous as
well in the trading sphere in my league. I'm always
always trading, but I kind of want to ship for
Shad White and kind of looking to see who I
should kind of go for. I don't really feel that
(15:44):
confident in him returning his value, but yeah, I just
wanted to hear your thoughts.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Well for sure, go ahead, Bogs.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah, I was gonna say, looking at your roster, I
don't know you're so solid a wide receiver. I I
guess behind the starting wide receivers Chase, Jefferson and Brown
as Cooks and Born. So I'm guessing that's what you're
gonna be looking for. Your tight ends are good Ingram
and Likely and Dulkitch, Dulcitch, Prescott, Cousin, Stafford Nix. You
(16:17):
could get a little younger there, obviously, if you are
looking to trade with shot White with this build, I
think you're going after. What do you think fits? Is
it you pair with shot White and a quarterback and
try to upgrade and get a little younger at that spot?
Is it depth at the wide receiver position? Because I really,
(16:37):
you know, you're probably fine trading White because you do
have good depth. You have to play musical chairs between Jones, White, Pollard, Estimate, Singletary.
Those are all pretty decent options. I just don't know
if I want to mess with it too much. What
do you think fits?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Looking at my overall kind of Steve rankings and I'm
trying to and maybe I've got Rashad White a little
bit too high here. Yeah, I mean like I think
he's maybe roughly equivalent in value to say, I don't know,
(17:17):
what do you think Bog's like day Flowers?
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Yeah, yeah, I think Zay in that range because I
have him right behind like Jordan Addison, Drake London, DeVante Smith.
You know, I'm a little lower on Jay, but some
of these rookies Worthy Coleman, McConkie, you you should get
those guys plus a pick, I would say, probably not
a high pick, but a pick for sure. I think
(17:42):
that's the range that I'm looking at for this for
the for.
Speaker 10 (17:45):
You guys a little bit more straight up than kind
of pairing, like what you said, like the quarterback and
get a little younger.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
I also don't hate that like if you wanted to
take Yeah, if you want to take Rashad White, and
you know Stafford or Cousin, it's one of those guys,
and get a little younger. If somebody is willing to
do that. In a super flex, I would absolutely be,
uh be there for it. Ten team. It's a little
less necessary and people, I think people are more likely
(18:11):
to trade a quarterback, so you're in a good spot there.
So but I would just say, hey, look, I'm looking
to deal Rashad White. These are the things I'm looking for,
Getting younger at quarterback, adding a wide receiver, whatever it
is you you want, and then see what offers you
get back and do it that way, because that way
(18:34):
you get multiple offers. Everybody knows what you're looking for. Uh,
it's pretty straight up. And you know, especially if you're
the trade guy, I think everyone's gonna expect you to
be trading, so this isn't going to be catching anybody
off guard. So I would just yeah, float, float the trade.
Tell them you looking to potentially trade White because you
(18:56):
like your running back depth, not because you dislike Rashad White.
Of course everybody knows that. Uh, but uh, you know,
and see what offers you get and go from there.
Speaker 12 (19:06):
Sure.
Speaker 11 (19:07):
Yeah, awesome.
Speaker 10 (19:08):
Well, thank you very much, guys. There's a pleasure to
be on here.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
You got it, thanks, dev Yeah, it is tough, like
we can give you a range, but we never know
what different leagues value. You know, different people value players
way different ways. You can tell by just looking at
ECR right and see the range of different picks some
(19:30):
of these players are in. So a lot of people
have way different thoughts on them. So it's tough for
us that we can give you a range or what
we would take or give. But sometimes you'll get way
better than you think for a player, and sometimes you'll
get way worse. So t schwah, what's going on? How
are we doing? It looks like you muted yourself. We
(19:52):
got you? Now, what's going on? My friend?
Speaker 5 (19:54):
Are you guys?
Speaker 13 (19:55):
So I'm doing my first Dynasty League this year and
we're having an auction draft. So I'm just trying to
figure out one It's hard to find projected you know,
salaries on anywhere, really. I can't find them on Fantasy
Pros or any other site really, So I'm struggling to
come up with, you know, how to set my budget
and try to figure out what I should be paying
(20:15):
for different guys. So I'm hoping you guys can have
you know, some suggestions on how to go about that.
I tried some to to, you know, just take projections
and feel them out that way. But you know that
that only obviously works for for one year as opposed
to the the dynasty aspects. So what are your suggestions
and if you can point me in the direction of
(20:36):
of some some dynasty values, I appreciate that as well.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
What do you what do you think in there fits well?
Speaker 2 (20:45):
First of all, T Schwak, good reminder that I need
to talk to some people on Fantasy pros about working
up some dynasty auction values for the people who might
need those. So yeah, I mean, if you've been in
any sort of fantasy ball auction before, I mean I
generally think best approach is kind of a Stars and
(21:07):
Scrubs thing, like get your pill a specially, did you
mention whether this is one QB or super Flex.
Speaker 13 (21:14):
Super Flex super Flex PPR.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Ten teams and teams? Okay, so.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
I like being first to buy. I'll say that this
is a startup auction. T Schwak, Yes, I like to
be one of the first to buy, because I mean,
it depends sometimes players get you know, blown up to
an insane level, and quarterbacks probably will, but sometimes people
are so reserved and they don't want to be that
(21:44):
guy to overspend. First thing that you can get a
quarterback for cheap, a stud running back, a great wide
receiver for cheap, especially in a super flex if you
throw out like a high end wide receiver. Let's start
with Jamar Chase right. A lot of times people will say, well,
I don't want to overpay for Chase because I still
have to buy two quarterbacks. So you get You'll get
(22:06):
a guy for a little bit of a deal, and
I guarantee you you will notice later in the draft
a guy you know, justin Jefferson goes you know, way
later because no one nominates him, and he's going to
go for way higher than what you paid for Chase.
Because the pool is going to be a little thinner,
especially the top pool is going to be a little thinner.
So that's my first thing I would say I'm with
(22:29):
fits in terms of studs and scrubs. I do like
to save a little bit of money if I can
to be the hammer at the end, and that way
you can pick up a lot of players when everybody's
dead broke, you know you're getting your player. You know
it's a double edged sword. I would say lots of
mocks Ti Schwa, do lots of auction mocks, and kind
(22:53):
of give yourself, you know, try different strategies, Try doing medium,
try doing expensive, to see what you like, so you're
not nervous when you show up and get there, and
you know how, you know how all of the whole
system works on whatever platform you're using. So I would
suggest a lot of practice before you get there.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Yeah, and I totally endorse Bogman's practical consideration about having
some money left in the tank at the end the endgame,
Like if you run the end game, that's a good
place to be when everyone's down to like a dollar
for their last roster spots, and you can go to
(23:35):
on people because there's still a lot of gems, especially
in Dynasty, like all sorts of interesting pieces at the
end of it, especially if it's a ten teamer, like
there will be some intriguing talents left at the end.
But I would encourage you to go aggressively for a
(23:56):
top five receiver and a top ten quarterback and like, yeah,
and like Bugman said, a lot of the times people
do kind of get a little nervous coming out of
the gates, and those first three or four guys off
the board wind up being pretty good values.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
And I've seen that.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
You know, I do more baseball auction drafts than football auctions,
and I see that in baseball all the time, like
the first four guys, Like the bidding is kind of soft,
and I always kicked myself or not if I don't
get one of those first four or five guys, Like
why didn't I get into that?
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Well, everyone was kind of getting their feet wet a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
So yeah, startup dynasty auctions though always, Like I mean,
I think that's like the most challenging possible ANSC football environment,
Like that is there is always a lot to think about,
so make sure.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
You're well cainated and well rested.
Speaker 13 (24:55):
There's only two experienced dynasty managers in the in the league.
It's it's of a you know, a league that we're
we're doing for a bunch of people that have never
done it before.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
So, oh, that'll be fun. You're gonna get weird stuff.
Is gonna be weird stuff. Tisch, Well, I love I
love doing that too, but it's gonna be exciting, uh too,
because it is there. You're gonna get some weird stuff.
You're gonna get someone overbidding for a player they love,
you know, all that stuff that you would you would
get when someone overdrafts in a regular draft. It's gonna
(25:27):
be the same way in your auction as well. So yeah,
like I said, mock, be familiar with the whole system
so you don't miss anything or you don't know how
something works, and you know how to nominate a player
and you know, just make sure you do all of that.
And then I would say, mock and try three to
four different strategies. Hone in on the one you want,
(25:50):
and try not to deviate. You're gonna have to deviate
a little bit when you get in there, but try
your best not to deviate from your original plan. And
you should come out with the roster that you're fairly
impressed with. So thanks, guys, you got it. Thank you
appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Hey, I guess it looks like raw Brow is back
and he has the mic issue working.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
All right, can you hear me?
Speaker 14 (26:14):
Guys?
Speaker 1 (26:15):
We got Yeah, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Man?
Speaker 1 (26:17):
How you doing time?
Speaker 11 (26:18):
Doing well?
Speaker 9 (26:18):
Sorry about that? First, I just want to say I'm
really excited to be on here with you guys. I
was like, your guys takes, and I feel like they're
very like measured where a lot of people in the
fantasy industry really like hot takes that are crazy this
time of year.
Speaker 11 (26:31):
So I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Thank you appreciate that.
Speaker 9 (26:34):
Yeah, So I'm kind of like a logistical question and
then more of like a player question, if that's cool.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
So this is my first I'm playing Dynasty.
Speaker 9 (26:43):
I'm also the commissioner of our league. I just wanted
some advice on So everybody in our league has played
Dynasty before, and I've played with them all before, so
they're all like reliable and familiar with fantasy, but they're
all new to Dynasty.
Speaker 12 (26:56):
All.
Speaker 9 (26:57):
It's a ten team PPR Superbus type and premium, and
I was just curious on like your thoughts about like
number of starting positions, recommended bench size, and then also
like is there any rules for like I want to
make sure this thing keeps going and I create a
good environment for trading and a healthy league, So if
there's any rules or like things like that that you
(27:20):
do for your Dynasty leaks And then second question I
know what I'm picking in the league. I'm picking second,
and I know the first pick is going to be
Josh Allen because it's my wife and she already wants
Josh Allen. So I'm taking my homes. But in the
second round, I want to take a second or third.
I want to take a second quarter that I can really
(27:41):
leverage into quote strength and in the moodics I've been doing,
and basically when I know other people are doing the
quarterbacks that or Jaden Daniels, Justin Herbert, Jordan Love and
Kyler Murray, and I was just wondering what which of
those you would go with? Have the option between them?
Speaker 1 (28:01):
All right, So let's start with the first question. First, fits,
is there any specific rules or anything that you like
to add to your league to make it, you know,
just more viable for new people, or just to keep
it you know, fun and entertaining and active. What do
you think about that first question?
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Yeah, I mean, so a lot of people, a lot
of leagues have taxi squads, and I was kind of
talking to a user earlier today on discord about taxi squads,
and I kind of I don't really like them that much,
and I think some leagues use them as a way
to sort of, I don't know, as placeholders so you
can roster more people. And it makes some sense if
(28:46):
you have like twenty four man rosters for your dynasty team,
I recommend just like it's in a ten person league,
twenty eight or thirty man roster. There's no taxi squads
and only like one or two IR spots, and that
way with a ten team league, there will still be
(29:08):
occasionally interesting pieces.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
Available on waivers.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
And I don't know, I think it's just an easy
way to do it, and you know, not have to
like toggle players between activation and being on the taxi squad.
And you don't have to have the commissioner bird dogging people. Hey,
you are legally obligated to activate this guy from the
taxi squad. So that's that's one thing I would do,
(29:34):
and just you know, otherwise, keep it simple. You know,
you've you're committed to super flex, you're committed to tight
end premium. I would have a couple of flex spots
in addition to the super Flex spot.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
That's about it.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
And uh, I don't know any bogs do any of
your dynasty leagues have interesting stipulations about how raft order
is sided or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
The suckers bracket at the end end of the year
for everyone that's eliminated, the loser's bracket, the suckers bracket,
whatever you want to call it. I like to make
that the winner of that gets the first pick in
the draft. That that is a way to keep all
those owners at the bottom active and making moves.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
Right.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
It sometimes can be annoying, I understand that in terms
of pickups, but if it keeps the whole the whole
league active, I'm still for it. So I kind of
like that. If you guys don't like that, then maybe
something where, you know, you make it a lottery and
(30:40):
the team it like you give out points every time
an eliminated team throughout the season has beaten a playoff contender,
you give them extra points or something something for that,
so that the teams at the very bottom don't give
up when they start zero and six and they're not
starting their lineups, they're not trying to make trades. You know,
(31:00):
they lose complete interests. If there's still something on the line,
then I think it can keep people more active. And
you know, sometimes it can be a pain, but if
you allow people to trade picks up to three years.
I think sometimes that can keep people more active as well.
So it's a double edged sword because sometimes you get
(31:22):
people trading their picks because they have no experience and
they don't really know what they're doing, so it's hard
to monitor. Maybe you want to only do a couple
of years out. But yeah, I think those are the
things in terms of rules. Anything else for rules fits
or do you want to go to this second QB
question here?
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Yeah? I think that's it. Let's go to the QB question.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
So out of that group, is there one that stands
out to you above the rest? And why is Jordan Love?
Speaker 2 (31:54):
It is love for me. I know we're slightly different stances. First,
let's see. I know that raw Brow mentioned Love, Annuals, Kyler, Murray,
and Justin Herbert. I believe we're the four and I
have them pretty much in that order, Love, Annuals, Kyler, Herbert,
(32:14):
and I actually have Trevor Lawrence ranked ahead of Justin Herbert.
Maybe he would be an option at two nine for him.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
Yeah, it's difficult. Like I love Jayden Daniels and there's
a lot of upside, but I do think he's conditional,
which means if you take him that early, whether he
falls to you in the second or third or whatever
it is, I think you need to take a backup
pretty quick. So if you're okay with that. In a
ten man, I'm more likely to take the guy with
(32:43):
the crazy upside, so that would be the guy that
I'd be looking at in a smaller league. But I
know that if I do that, I'm going to take
a third quarterback, probably before most other people do, which
can be difficult if you're on the end. So if
you're looking for more safety, Jordan Love is fine as
a safety play there. So but I'm with you in
(33:07):
a super flex. Two of my first three picks in
a dynasty if it's a startup, are quarterbacks ten out
of ten times every time, So I just want to
make sure because they're hard to trade for. You don't know,
like this year, we have no idea who the quarterbacks
in the draft are going to be. Last year was
a different story. This year we have no idea, So
(33:28):
I just don't want to be in the dark. I
don't want to wait. I want to get two in
my first three picks. So I'm with you in terms
of how that strategy goes RALB Browse. So appreciate the questions, man,
and thanks for fixing it and coming back on and
getting your question in for sure. Yeah, thanks guys, you
got it.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
You bet.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
By now, most of you have probably heard of Reality
Sports Online, the powerful fantasy sports platform our owners get
to build and manage their fantasy team like an NFL
general manager. But the question is have you tried it?
It's time to go see what all the buzz in
the dynac community is about. Free agency, multi contracts, a
rookie draft, multi team trades, franchise tags, contract extensions, first
round rookie options, automated contract at salary cap, functionality, and
(34:08):
much much more. Think it sounds complicated, it's not. The
best thing about Reality Sports online Fantasy front office is
that it doesn't take any more time than a standard league.
It just requires more strategy. Think you're among the fantasy elite, Well,
this is a platform to test your metal. Still not sure?
You can test your general manager skills for free frube
(34:29):
in a mock free agency auction. If you like what
you see, use a promo code Fantasy Pros to receive
a ten percent discount on your team. Or league today.
That's promo code Fantasy pros to receive a ten percent

real at Reality sportsonline dot com. Let's see who we got,
jab Jab. What's going on? My friend? How you doing?
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Jab?
Speaker 7 (34:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:54):
I guess we lost job? Uh Shane Pop?
Speaker 3 (34:58):
You want to try again? Okay, I'm again? Sure?
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yeah, Jack and.
Speaker 6 (35:03):
Telling out the self wind driving and picking up your
five year old. Make sure hits the accept button and
not to decline.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
But geez jab holding up the lunch line. What's going on, man?
How you doing?
Speaker 12 (35:14):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Not much?
Speaker 6 (35:15):
I was actually calling more of a praise because I
wanted to think fifty for this, Uh he should be tracking,
but I was. Last week I had talked to you
Box about trying to get Ceedee Lamb and what to
give for him and what to offer, and wound up
getting a trade and fifty really came to save my bacon.
So I'm letting everybody know who's listening. Listen to these guys.
They know what they're talking about. The trade was, I said,
(35:39):
a DK metcalf Away lad, and like thirteenth for Ceedee
lamp as the guy said he wanted a little something extra,
but he didn't want a draft pick. Fifty said, offer
him JK. Dobbins, a being by a bloom.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
He accepted right off the fat man. That's like the
trade in Madden where you're like, will you just take this,
and then the computer does and you're like, great, all right,
done easy.
Speaker 11 (36:04):
Oh yeah, I was shocked.
Speaker 6 (36:05):
So I'm just curious. Also with the Sea Lamb thing,
what do you have anything about a contract or a holdout?
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Ooh, that's that's a good question and it's tough to answer.
I'll say this for the most part, and it has
screwed me right Le'Veon Bell got me. But for the
most part, I don't care about contract holdouts because most
of the time it's the premium players in the NFL
that don't need a lot of ramp up time, and
(36:33):
usually the teams will hold out as long as they
can and they'll get these guys signed before the season starts.
We see Jamar Chase doing it, we see Ceedee Lamb
doing it a lot more. Hold ds. I think TJ.
Watt made that popular a couple of seasons ago with
the Steelers doing the hold in and then you know
they get to the Buffalo game and he's playing. So
(36:54):
to me, I don't have a lot of issues drafting
players with holdouts or trading for them or anything like that. Fits.
What do you think about holdouts?
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Pretty much the same stance you have on it, bogs
kind of ignore them. The only ones I can remember
lingering into the season where Le'Veon Bell and Emmett Smith
and the Leon Bell. The Le'Veon Bell thing was just
the rare one that trashed not only a season, but
basically a guy's entire career.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
No like that was.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
That was sort of the exception to the rule that
probably you're better off just ignoring holdouts and not sweating it.
Speaker 11 (37:33):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (37:34):
And then final, I mean, you guys say both say
it's a Steel on the trade.
Speaker 11 (37:38):
I'm just curious.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
Oh yeah, I mean I like that deal for you.
I thought it was a good one.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
Yeah, I mean, Lamb is such a he's an amazing player,
Like you're you're never going to be upset about having
acquired him, I think.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Yep, I agree, of course, Jab and I agree. And
that's a Texas fan talking about Oklahoma, So you know,
oh my, I have no bias in there. So all right,
let's see who do we have up next? It's Sewn.
I'm not sure if you guys are here, Shane, are
you around?
Speaker 14 (38:12):
Are you there?
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (38:13):
We got you. How are you doing excellent? How are
you guys doing doing great? My friend? What do you
got for good?
Speaker 11 (38:19):
Thanks for thanks for doing this. I look at you
guys do this all the time. It's such a good thing.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
So thank you, appreciate you.
Speaker 11 (38:29):
Quick question. So I'm in a ten team Dynasty League
half point PPR one QB and my team has been
kind of rough over the last couple years, but I've
kind of built it back up again. So uh, like
my wide receivers are pretty strong. I have the number
one pick this year WI They'll take Marvin Harrison, and
(38:51):
then I have Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Drake, will Drake, London,
T Higgins, and Deontay Johnson. That's kind of my core.
And then QBS I have Anthony Richardson and the Holmes.
And then for tight end I have Pits and.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
Uh and Stan Laporta.
Speaker 11 (39:13):
So I have a pretty pretty good team, but running
back is rough, so I have Zamir White and James
Cook are my two starters. UH and then after that
it's like uh JK dobbin Zach Charbona. It's just not great.
So anyway, somebody offered me, I've been trying to trade
(39:34):
running backs from depth because I've got a lot of depth,
but nobody. Everybody wants too much, just their dumb offers
that are coming.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
And one guy.
Speaker 11 (39:45):
Unreasonable. Sure, one guy made off I thought might be interesting.
Speaker 5 (39:49):
I wanted to get your take on it.
Speaker 11 (39:51):
So he offered me, uh Pat Fryer Mooth and the
one oh five in the draft, the rookie draft this
year for Laporta. So that would give me Pits and
Friar Mooth as my two tight ends, and then with
a one oh five I would look at maybe taking
Jonathan Brooks. What do you guys think of something like that?
(40:14):
Do you think it's too little for Laporta? Do you
think that's with having Pitts and Friar Mouth to head
my bets? Is that a decent value? Or should I
hold on to what I have, let it play out
and then try to add running back depth maybe later
in the season as it played out a bit.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
I'll let you go first on that one, FITZI would
I give up Laporta or the friar Mouth Brooks nomination. Honestly, Shane,
I don't think I would in a one QB league.
I feel like that one oh five spot if there's
a drop off after the first four with the big
(40:54):
three receivers and brock Bowers, and then I don't love
the options as much at number five. I think there's
kind of a ledge there in rookie value, and man
Laporte is just a guy who could become the standard
bearer at that position for a long time. Like I
understand your plus, I don't know that Brooks immediately addresses
(41:17):
your running back need. In the future. Maybe, but man,
things are so volatile at the running back position. You know,
you could be holding a better hand than it appears
a couple months from now, or you could be you know,
like some people holding a good hand at running back
can see it crumble pretty quickly. So I would not
(41:41):
personally make that deal. I also would rather ride out.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
I also think this is too much. What I would
do is I think you're okay with White and Cook,
especially at the start of the season, so maybe let
a couple of those teams fall out of the race
and the first position that in Dynasty are willing to
give up on his running backs. So I think I
might wait until some teams with good running backs just
(42:07):
for whatever reason, the rest of their team isn't getting
it together, So I would I would wait till like
a month into the season and then try to make
a deal for running back because I think the cost
is going to be more reasonable, and I think you're
going to probably come away with a deal that you
couldn't get done at this point right now. So that's
what I would do to try to get an Okay, the.
Speaker 11 (42:30):
Other option that he had kind of put out was
because so utterly doesn't draft tight ends early, like I
got a bored of pretty Actually last year I created
it up with get him because nobody was taking them,
and so Bauers could very well fault me at one
oh five. In fact, he likely will fault me at
(42:51):
one oh five.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
So if I knew that, then I'm making the deal. Honestly,
would you think.
Speaker 11 (42:58):
Or would you try to get like he has like
nas hair as.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
Yeah, I'd try to. I'd try to swap out Friar
move for something else.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
At the same deal. Yeah, Like especially you would do
nag in the one five. Ye, that I would do
if you think you're getting Bowers, Yes, because my first
thought was, I don't you know, there could be somebody
that like that falls to the one oh five that
surprises me, but probably not in the one QB league.
(43:27):
So uh yeah, I think I I think I would.
I'd much rather do that deal to the one to
get nausey because then you address your position and you
think you're getting Bowers, who you know could end up
being better than Laporta anyway, you know coming out he
definitely is better than Laporta. So Laporta ended up in
a really good system and it was the number one
(43:48):
tight end last season. But I wouldn't be shocking to
see Bowers have a huge step this year as well,
So that I would do.
Speaker 11 (43:55):
Okay, okay, And I'm a little nervous about Laporta dropping
back a little it because he had so much touchdown
like he had some touchdowns here.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
Yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 11 (44:05):
Gibbs, any more of those. If Montgomery still gets a
bunch and a.
Speaker 1 (44:09):
Lot of mouths defeat in Detroit, I think that's a
fair word. Yeah, but what if he takes a step
up because that was his rookie season you know what
I mean, Like, it can go the other way, so
I would. I would say, you're in a pretty good
spot with Laporta. Don't trade him for anything, but if
you if I can turn Laporta into Nasey and Bowers,
(44:29):
I'm doing it. So thanks, Shane. I appreciate you, my friend,
appreciate it. Thanks, you got it. I know I said
your name wrong last time, man, so I'm gonna let
you say it this time. What is It's Blockey? Right,
That's I didn't remember.
Speaker 4 (44:48):
So it's Blake, Blake, Blake, Sure, what Blockey?
Speaker 1 (44:57):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (44:58):
I originally had my real name on there. I was myself.
I changed. So I have a general question for you guys.
Speaker 7 (45:07):
What is your thoughts and opinions around like intentionally tanking
dynasty teams to like, you know, get better draft picks
next year if your team isn't good. I asked because
one of the leagues I joined, I took on like
an orphaned orphan team, and I was told that the
draft positioning next year is based off of just your
points in your starting lineup. I can bench Derek Henry
(45:29):
and play Patrick Taylor if I want to. I can
play a practice squad running back, I'm allowed to. So
if I know I have a terrible team, what are
your thoughts about, you know, just in general, going all right,
I'm just not gonna try this year because I'm the
bottom four team out of sixteen, and I'm just gonna
sure I get the number one pick next year.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
I don't know. The fortune changes in the NFL so
fast for a lot of players that I'm just generally
against it. I'm also, you know, a commissioner in a
lot of leagues, and I don't want to deal with
the complaining and the whining of people saying, well, this
guy's not even trying, so whoever gets a free win
because blah blah blah. I hate it. So for me,
(46:07):
I just I don't respect it. I don't like it,
so I try not to do it. I always try,
even if my team sucks, I try to win. So
I don't know, I don't really like it. But if
there are no rules against it, that's what I say
to the people. I'm like, well, you know, we don't.
We never instituted any rules against it, so this guy
(46:28):
can do whatever he wants with this team. So I
don't know. I'm generally against it, but it's again because
I don't want to listen to a bunch of other
people complain to me, Well, what do you think fits
in terms of like purposely tanking your team to get
a high pick next year.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
I think you have to weigh and balance what's good
for your team with being a good citizen in the league.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
So maybe the best way to.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
Do it would be to be completely above board. Talk
to your commissioner and say, look, you know the rules
are this. I feel like it would be best for
my team if I actually kind of didn't start my
best players, took a really low score at the best
possible draft pick for next year. But like, I don't
(47:15):
want people threatening to quit the league over this, you know,
I just like basically say, here's my dilemma. You know,
do you do you think there are any loopholes that
should be closed or do you have do I have
your blessing to do what I think is right for
my team by sort of tanking you know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (47:37):
Like, I would just be above board so you are
not public enemy one your league.
Speaker 7 (47:42):
Yeah, I mean I wouldn't do it week one, But
I specifically asked the commissioner about this because I saw
a couple of people at High I draft picking this
pastor's rookie draft. They had pretty good teams, and well
it's because they're benching a monro In Mahomes after week
ten because they.
Speaker 5 (47:55):
Didn't think they could do anything. So it kind of
came down to.
Speaker 7 (47:59):
I don't think do it week one, but if I
start off two and seven, which I expect to earn
a team I have like bentioning Derrick Henry and Davante
Adams because right now I'm getting offers for third round picks.
I'm not gonna I'll let.
Speaker 5 (48:11):
Henry die on my bench before I trade him first.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
Yeah. Look, if you're getting bad offers, if they're all
horrible offers and you can't improve your team even with
these old guys, then you know you're not playing fair.
I'm not playing fair. So I understand that. But like
I said, I just like that just sounds si, you
know what I mean, Like, I don't want to be
(48:34):
in a league where that happens. I want everybody to
to you know, put out the put their best foot forward,
and try to win every week. That's what makes it fun.
So and first def and fantasy to me is fun.
So I would rather. You know, I get it. And
you know, especially if there's an entry fee when you're
taking an orphan, you're you're you're doing, you're doing the
(48:55):
whole league of service, which a lot of times, if
a team is that bad, I'll just be like, look,
you know, as the commissioner, I've done this before, I'll
just pay your first year's fee. Right after that, you'll
you'll work on it. But to get a better owner
in and a better manager, I will, you know, I'll
sometimes just reach into my own pocket to pay the fee.
So but you know, try to trade. I feel like
(49:20):
there's gonna be someone desperate, especially if DeVante Adams and
Derrick Henry are good. Once you get in season, I
feel like sometimes you can hold these managers over a
barrel more if you're going to trade and you can
get more. So at least try to do that before
you go to the benching spot. But yeah, I mean, look,
if they're not playing fair, I think it's okay for
(49:40):
you to not play fair.
Speaker 5 (49:41):
So all right, appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (49:44):
You got it, Blake, Thanks man. Let's see we got Nick.
What is going on? What is going on? Nick? How
you doing?
Speaker 5 (49:52):
I'm doing well, guys, how are you great?
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Good?
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Nick?
Speaker 14 (49:57):
So I have a couple questions, is like super quick
more socas with the timing of one of my drafts.
I have my like actual dynasty draft coming up for
the our rookie draft, and the ninth pick in each
of the four rounds of it.
Speaker 5 (50:16):
It's like a really tiny bench.
Speaker 14 (50:18):
It's only like a fourteen keeper dynasty ish thing. So
the two things I'm trying to decide between or like
keeping Friar Mooth as my I guess third tight end,
which is not anything that's a huge advantage, but like
I feel like.
Speaker 5 (50:36):
Maybe he could have a good year coming up, or Brochean.
Speaker 14 (50:42):
My tight ends or Laporta and McBride, So I would
mostly be keeping Firemoth as somebody in case I trade
one of those guys or he blows.
Speaker 5 (50:50):
Up and I trade him. I definitely have more holes
at running.
Speaker 14 (50:53):
Back, So I guess that really two quick ones are
just like which one of those guys I should be keeping?
Speaker 5 (50:58):
And then on that just any tips for the for
the draft.
Speaker 14 (51:02):
Then I have one slightly longer ish question about a
keeper league I'm in, But I don't think that the
one I just said should be too too.
Speaker 1 (51:09):
Long, all right, So the first one, it's it's friar
Mouth all the way. And I'm not even a big
fan of Friarmuth this season because I hate Arthur Smith.
But I'm a Steelers fan and I just don't think
Roshan Roshan is not enough. I there's a there's a
path to Pat Friarmuth being you know, the number two
receiver for the Steelers this season, because Calvin Austin hasn't
(51:34):
been good, you know, Roman Wilson hasn't had a good camp,
and Pickens is a cry baby. So like I mean,
there's even a path for Friarmouth to be the number
one receiver on the Steelers this this year. So I'm
not I'm not dumping friar Mouth for Roshan. And I'm
a Texas guy and I love Rochean. But they paid
DeAndre Swift, they have Khalil Herbert. There's just too much
(51:55):
competition there for him. Are you with me on that one?
Fits totally?
Speaker 3 (52:00):
No need to elaborate.
Speaker 1 (52:01):
And what about the other one in terms of just
tips for a dynasty league like.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
That, Oh, I'm sorry you might have to repeat the
setup on that one.
Speaker 14 (52:12):
Nick or or sorry, Yeah, no, Worries basically have the
ninth pick in each of the four rounds of our
rookie draft, So just any tips you have. My team
is like pretty strong at the starting wide receivers and
then it kind of dips from there, and then running
back I have bijon and then some like low end
(52:33):
RB two's and it kind of drops from there. So
I don't know if it's like best player available is
the best way to go, or like targeting certain positions.
I typically have done best player available in the past,
but just curious what your thoughts are.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
And I'm sorry, did you say one QB or super flex?
Speaker 5 (52:48):
Sorry? Yes, I did not say that, so thanks for
the clarification.
Speaker 14 (52:52):
Yeah, one QB and I have dak as my quarterback,
so I feel like I'm kind of okay.
Speaker 3 (52:57):
There, gotcha.
Speaker 2 (52:59):
While Bogs, I mean, what do you think that's so
we know the top three wide receivers, Rock Bowers probably gone,
and then after that it's what worthy.
Speaker 11 (53:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
Coleman, Brian Thomas, mclaucky.
Speaker 2 (53:16):
Brian Thomas, James Brooks, Jonathan Brooks.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
Trey Benson. Yeah, so I think because it'd be tough
for us to predict what happens before pick nine. But
I would say I'd say BPA, but make sure I
come out with two rbs. So if you know, if
the guy at nine is Brooks or Benson falls to me, great,
don't think it happens in a one QB. But whatever,
(53:41):
you know, if I get a running back there at nine, great, Uh.
If not, like if your two best players in your
first two rounds or BP and they're both wide receivers, great,
But my next two players someday I'm taking two shots
at running back. So I want if running back is
your one week spot on this team, I want two
shots by the time I leave the d So that
(54:01):
would be my overall advice. But for the most part,
I want BPA because you know, it's just it's the
smart thing to do in a dynasty. It's just get
the best players. So thank you, you got it.
Speaker 14 (54:14):
And then my other my other quick question. So I
mentioned this a few weeks back. I have a much
more clarity on it now. I'm in a keeper league
that is structured kind of funny, where like, you keep
one player, then you start drafting in the second round,
you keep two, you start drafting in the third et cetera.
Speaker 5 (54:33):
And people typically keep between like two to four players.
Speaker 14 (54:37):
I have guys on my team like Gibbs, h McBride, Saquon,
and some good quarterbacks.
Speaker 5 (54:46):
But I'm contemplating a theory that.
Speaker 14 (54:49):
I would just want to run past you guys of
only keeping Gibbs.
Speaker 10 (54:54):
Uh.
Speaker 14 (54:55):
And it looks like everybody is going to keep at
least one player. So so because I have like an
early pick, and all the people ahead of me who'd
go in the second round are gonna be holding their
players aside from one that's little questionable, which is why
I bring this up. I'd have the chance to do
like Gibbs and Marvin Harrison to start off the draft,
(55:16):
and because it's a keeper and you can keep them forever,
they'd kind of be like staples on the team. Whereas
I look at a guy like Parkley and like he's
probably really good for the next year or two maybe,
but like maybe, you know, and while McBride's great, I
don't know if like he'd be worth keeping as like
a second or third round pick, if you will.
Speaker 5 (55:38):
So, what are your thoughts on that?
Speaker 14 (55:40):
If let's say hypothetically, somebody does take Marvin Harrison Junior
and my theory doesn't work. I could still probably take
Neighbors as like my wide receiver one and hold them
for the whole career. I just feel like if I
hold too many players or keep them rather, I'm not
gonna have a chance to get those, like really top
young guys to build like a great core from. And
(56:01):
it seems like a lot of the teams that are
winning in this league have kind of done that, where
like they've gotten aj Brown or Justin Jefferson as a
rookie doing something like that, and they hold them forever.
And I don't know, that's just sort of the situation
I'm in. I don't know if that all made sense.
Speaker 1 (56:16):
No, I have a league exactly like that, and I
have Tyreek Hill as the last round pick, and I've
had him for a decade, so you know, or however
long he's been in the league. So I understand this
question completely. I would I would say you got to
keep Gibbs because Gibbs is a borderline first round pick anyway, Yeah,
(56:36):
you don't want to fall behind everybody else, so I
do that, But that second pick, I'm fine with not
keeping anybody else and going after Neighbors or Harrison what
do you think on that one fits totally agree.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
I would do the same thing. That seems like a
totally logical move to me.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
Now, I did have the opposite problem in a league
one time, where people like everybody would keep five or six,
you know, so it would be like, even if they're
not worth it. This was a basketball league, but even
if they're not worth it, I had to keep five
so that I just didn't have, you know, bad players
on my roster even when my team was bad. And
so but if most if the if you're noticing the
(57:14):
winners keep doing this follow the trend, I would say,
thank you.
Speaker 5 (57:20):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (57:21):
He you guys, you got it.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
Appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (57:23):
Man.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
I think I think it only got time for one
more here, FITZI. So we'll get Will and then I
gotta go do other shows. Unfortunately, uh, Will, what do
you got for us? My friend? You're coming up there?
We go, looks like you're back on Maybe not all right, Will.
(57:44):
I'm gonna go to Tress Trace Trusty. It looks like
you're muted.
Speaker 5 (57:49):
Okay, I go Technology.
Speaker 12 (57:51):
Apparently we got it.
Speaker 1 (57:53):
We got it. What's going on?
Speaker 12 (57:56):
Good after? So I have a quick question to run
by you. I'm I've been on the hunt for C. J.
Stroud for a while now, and the and the guy
in my Dynasty league has had him. He needs a
running back and I have a few. So I sent
a couple offers to him to different options. I sent
him kind of like a Garrett Wilson Na Naja Harris
(58:17):
package and then a Garrett Wilson the Checko package for
a Stroud Tank Dell Stack. So I just want to
see what your opinion on that.
Speaker 1 (58:28):
Is, what do you think of those offers? Fitzi and Wilson?
That was the second one.
Speaker 12 (58:38):
So I have I have the Wilson and Nause, and
I'm offering to try to get Stroud and Tank.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
Okay, I would definitely and it is super flex right,
so yeah, no.
Speaker 5 (58:52):
It's one one, one QB league.
Speaker 1 (58:55):
Okay, not training Garrett Wilson.
Speaker 3 (58:56):
Then yeah, even I I would not.
Speaker 2 (59:01):
I wouldn't even do it with Nause and I like
Nause less than Pa Checko. How many times you think
it's worth it in one QB?
Speaker 3 (59:07):
Yeah? How many teams?
Speaker 5 (59:09):
Twelve team? Twelve team? Yeah, I just I.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
Don't I don't think there's yeah, quarterbacks in twelve teams,
dynasty leagues with twelve teams or fewer one QB leagues,
quarterback is just so readily available that I do not
think it's worth giving up that sort of firepower a
wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
Yeah, it's time in one QB. Like, I get that
you like it that you like c J. Strout, but
there are, like there's a lot of rookies that could
be really good in this class, Like there are other
players that fall in love with So I just don't
think that. I'm I can't trade Garrett Wilson for the
main part to be coming back at QB just because
QB has a lot of depth. So who are your
(59:54):
current qbs?
Speaker 5 (59:56):
I have Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
Oh you're doing fine, man. If you want to get Stroud,
trade Jalen Hurts in something for him, don't trade Garrett Wilson. Yeah,
so uh I agree. Yeah, try to flip Hurts and
if he doesn't like Hurts, then ask him what quarterback
he does, Like, maybe you can get that guy for Hurts,
you know what I mean. So that's how I would
work that deal for you, as I would try to
(01:00:18):
trade Hurts to get whatever it is he needs to
then get CJ. Stroup. So that's how I would work
at Trace.
Speaker 5 (01:00:25):
So cool, perfect, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
I appreciate Joe, you got it, Appreciate you, and appreciate
everybody else coming on today. So that is going to
wrap it up for today's show. Fitsie, how you feeling
after this show? Are you ready for more camp? Nonsense?
Are you ready for more best shape of their life?
Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
