Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, everybody. Welcome into the Fantasy pros Football podcast at
Dynasty Feed. I am Ryan Warmley, joined by Pat Fitzmorris
FITSI We're into it. It's August.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
We're here, Oh man, we are fully into it. Or
I'm in the training camp. Updates are flying and drafts
are on the schedule. I feel like I'm going to
be on the clock somewhere or another every day for
the next month approximately.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
So great time of year.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Hopefully everyone in the audience is as excited and fired
up as we are.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Some would call it the best time of year, so
we are very excited to be the busiest also, right,
there's that's the downside, but a worthy trade off, certainly
for just getting to talk about fantasy more and more.
And you know, I definitely have noticed I've kind of
been like teasing this feeling the last couple of weeks,
(00:54):
but I have noticed a very clear shift just internally,
Like obviously I was excited in missing football, but it
is like I'm like anxiously missing football. Now I'm like
I need, you know, Sunday night football, like I need
air to breathe type of missing football.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
It is.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
It is arrived.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Fits well, as we were cored this on a Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
We are about to get the debut of Hard Knocks
with the Buffalo Bells tonight on HBO.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
That's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
And we've got a full slate of preseason action this weekend,
and you know that's always a mixed bag, but we'll
see a little bit of the starters this week, so
it should be fun.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
I think one of the reasons that I'm that I
find myself this time of your missing football so much
is because I'm not that interested in August football, like
I just wanted to be September. I am not somebody
who has ever really watched Hard Knocks or cared about it.
I'm not somebody who gets that into preseason games like
I would watch the Ravens just to be like, oh cool,
it's fun to see Lamar on the field again. But
(01:54):
like beyond that, it's like, okay, I saw it drive
like I'm good. Like I just wanted to be I
wanted to be real, I wanted to count. I want
it to matter. And I don't begrudge anybody who feels
differently about football content in August. It's just like that's
the reason I missed the season so much. Is because
I don't feel like it's back yet.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
I won't feel like it's back until September.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, I get it. I get it.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Even though your Ravens are notoriously good in the preseason
enough in the funny thing is they are catching three
and a half points from the Colts. I presume that's
because the Colts are probably going to want to give
significant time to both Richardson and Daniel Jones, which is
why whereas Lamar's probably either not playing or playing one series.
(02:39):
But man like, I couldn't bet the Ravens fast enough
on the money line on that I'm getting like plus
one forty or something like that.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah, I think they I saw that Richardson is going
to be starting. That game was announced earlier. All right,
let's dive into We're gonna do what we always do
with the show, which is kind of a check in
on the updated trade value chart. This is the first
Tuesday of the month, which means that we have a
recent update a couple of days ago at this point
to our Dynasty Trade Value chart, it gets updated on
the first of every month all year long. We will
(03:07):
never skip a month of those updates, so we'll kind
of look through see, you know, like we always doing
the show, kind of who's moving where, moving up, moving down.
What we're really paying attention to this time of the
year from the Dynasty perspective, really the last months before
Dynasty and Redraft become not one and the same, but
a lot more hand holding in terms of how we're
evaluating guys like once we get into the season. So
(03:27):
it's an interesting conversation this time of year as well.
We'll hit on some news and notes that came out
earlier today as well, kind of while we're talking about
the trade value chart, guys like Jordan Addison, Kyron Williams,
some of those updates that happened earlier today, and then
we'll dive into everybody's questions the second half of the show,
get through as many as we possibly can on discord.
Does that sound good to you?
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Pat it to us? Let's roll worm, All right.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Let's do it. We always start with the quarterbacks, so
we'll do that again. Small drop for Joe Burrow. He's
still fourth, but a little bit more of a gap
between him and those top three. I think that's that's warranted, frankly,
just because those three are I think so clearly in
a tier of their own. I don't mind a wider
gap there. It's not like you fell a ton, like
I said, still fourth most valuable quarterback there. Jalen Hurts
slightly moves up. He's still in that fifth spot. He
(04:12):
was tied with Mahomes. He's now separate from Mahomes, but
obviously still very close in terms of those values. Drake
May has moved up a little bit, Caleb Williams down
a little bit. JJ McCarthy up a bit. Most of
the folks are either in the exact same place they
were or it's very minor moves. But again, some of
these are breaking ties, right Like Drake May was tied
(04:33):
at eighth with C. J. Stroud. He's now tied for
seventh with Justin Herbert. So just kind of some small
changes here and there. Do you consider any of these
moves fits either ones I've read or other ones that
were made in this chart, to be significant moves or
do you think it's a fair assessment to say these
are all pretty minor and there's not really many changes
at the position right now.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
All pretty minor.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
There was a slight dip in Joe Burrow's numerical values
and a slight increase in Jail, which closed up the
gap between those two, and now they're pretty close. I
kind of think that's how it should be. I mean,
there's some feeling that Burrow's game might age a little
better and Dynasty as a pocket passer, but obviously hurts
delivering the superior rushing value the last couple of years
(05:15):
with those double digit touchdowns every year, and then really
the only other one that stood out was a bit
of a drop for Caleb Williams, who now is has
the same value as bo Nicks and only slightly more
valuable than JJ McCarthy, and I think that sort of
matches the I don't know. While the supporting cast looks
(05:38):
great and Ben Jonson could help him a lot, the
braining camp reviews of Caleb Williams have not been glowing.
So Worm, let me ask you, would you rather have
Caleb Williams than bow Nicks in Dynasty right now?
Speaker 3 (05:52):
And how close is it for you?
Speaker 1 (05:55):
I mean, this is like the question of how much
are you wi your kind of pre draft assumptions and
evaluation versus your scene one one year in exactly. I
think the way I would answer that is I would
rather have Caleb, But I think I am wrong if
(06:15):
that makes sense, Like, I don't think it is the
correct answer to prefer Caleb. I think Bonix has done
enough and is in a good enough situation that he
should warrant. I think being valued more highly the way
I approach Dynasty and shooting for ceiling. And it's probably
unfair to you know, act like Boenix doesn't have a
ceiling because he does run and obviously is an a
Sean Payton offense. But you know, you know what I'm
(06:37):
getting at the the ceiling for Caleb is like, if
you believe what you believed prior to last year, you know,
maybe the best quarterback in football. And I just like
kind of in somebody in Dynasty wants to take those swings.
But I think Bonick should be valued more highly. Like
I actually don't think they should be tied. I do
think Bonick should be ahead and with greater value. I
(06:57):
just personally and the type to take the swing on K.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
How about you, Yeah, I think it's close. I think
the tie has sort of warranted. You know, Nick's just
it looked really good last year and he probably has
I don't know, maybe an even better situation with He
just seemed to mesh in Sean Payton's offense right away.
He's got a terrific offensive line. I know the Bears
(07:22):
have upgraded theirs too. It just seemed like it was
a real comfortable fit for Nicks last year, and he
made all those college starts, so it was a real
smooth transition to the NFL. And we have yet to
see Caleb really get settled in. So big year for Caleb.
I mean, he is at an interesting point, Like I
didn't think year two would be a crossroads here for him,
(07:44):
but here we are.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
It's a four way tie from ten to thirteen Rock,
Pretty Bow, Nixt, Jordan Love, and Caleb Williams all the
exact same values. If you said that already, sorry I
missed it. But it's really not just the two of them.
It's all four of those guys. So how would you
rank Pretty Nick's Love william.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Oh, right now, in my rankings, I have it, I've Williams, Nicks,
Pretty Love, and they are all adjacent to them. Williams
is ten, Nicks eleven, Perty twelve, Love thirteen. But I funny,
it is close.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
It's funny because my my gut reaction, and this is
like without you know, actually sitting together and really thoughtfully
putting together rankings the way you do, my gut reaction
would have been actually Love first. I am really a
believer that the Packers are going to throw a lot
more this year with Love not dealing with, you know,
hopefully with a week one injury that I think probably
affected the way they called plays throughout the season. You know,
(08:38):
they did draft a first round receiver. Your mileage mayvary
on how much value Matthew Golden, but I am actually
really buying into like, two guys that I was very
excited about last year as pocket passers were Jordan Love
and c J. Stroud. Of the two who had you know,
relatively down seasons, Love is the one that I'm in
FC's ranked, you know, close to c J. Stroud. Love
(08:58):
is the one that I'm more buying in to the
fantasy bounce back I actually have kind of I think
he's getting pretty underlooked in redraft and also in Dynasty frankly,
but I don't think it's like a wide gap, right,
Like I'm not saying he's well ahead of pretty Nix
and Caleb, but I think I would actually have Love
at the top.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
The Packers pass rate over expected in Love's first couple
of years was pretty close to just balanced, like they
passed about as much as expected, and then it crashed.
Last year they were ultra run heavy. I think it
was because the sprain MCL that caused him to miss
two games lingered for a little bit, and they brought
him back pretty early after only two miss games, and
(09:36):
then mid season he tweaked his groin and I don't
think he was really fully healthy entire season, So you're right,
maybe he could throw more this year.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
By now, most of you have probably heard of Reality
Sports Online, the powerful fantasy sports platform where owners get
to build and manage their fantasy team like an NFL
general manager. But the question is, have you tried it?
It's time to go see what all the buzz in
the dynasty community is about. Free agency, multi year contracts
or rookie draft, multi team trades, franchise tags, contract extensions,
first round rookie options, automated contract and salary cap functionality,
(10:08):
and much much more. I think it's as complicated. It's
not the best thing about Reality Sports Online fantasy front
office is that it doesn't take any more time than
a standard league, It just requires more strategy. Think you're
among the fantasy elite, Well, this is the platform to
test your metal. Still not sure? You can test out
your general manager skills for free in a mock free
agency auction. If you like what you see, use promo
code Fantasy Pros to receive a ten percent discount on
(10:29):
your team or league today. That's promo code Fantasy Pros
to receive a ten percent discount on your team or
league today. Fantasy just got real at Reality sportsonline dot com.
All right, Fitz, let's go to the next position, which
we'll be running back and again not like a ton
of huge changes. The biggest is quin Shawn Judkins. Obviously
that's related to some off field stuff. He drops down
(10:52):
to RB twenty. It was a numerical value of about
eleven kind of points of value loss, so he was
up just in that like outside the top ten range,
actually based on numerical value. Like I said, now down
to twenty, so pretty sizable drop considering where in the
rankings he was. Where did you have him? Did does
twenty feel right to you? With the off field kind
(11:14):
of question marks.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Now it does, like I I think he's eventually going
to sign and come in. I mean, like, depending on
the extent of his legal problems, like this could either
be too much of a drop or not en off
of a drop. Right now, I've got him at QB
or RB nineteen in Dynasty, so I think RB twenty
(11:37):
feels about right. But I you know, I do feel
bad for the Dynasty managers who took him in rookie
drafts back in April or May, and you know, not
to not to see.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
This coming obviously, Like I wasn't fading him for this
type of reason, which has happened and it's unfortunate to see.
But I was fading Jackkins honestly, just because I liked
so many of the other running backs better, and like
I was in a lot of rookie drafts where okay,
somebody took Judkins, I'll happily take Caleb Johnson or R. J.
Harvey or whoever next, right like those guys, I felt like,
(12:09):
you know, it didn't feel to me like he was
a separator. And I like Dylan Samson so much that
you know, I wasn't I wasn't putting everything on. Oh,
Judkins is going to be the obvious bell cow here.
Again that was for on field reasons, not what we've
seen play out off field. It's interesting to note that
I mentioned he's RB twenty. There's a pretty sizable gap
between the top nineteen and the rest. You know, we
(12:30):
have these numerical values assigned and RB you know, seventeen, eighteen,
nineteen are fifty fifty forty nine. Those are the numerical values.
Conch Shaw Jenkins is next down at forty three, So
there's there's actually like kind of a real gap there
between those times. And you know eighteen and nineteen are
Christian McCaffrey and Derek Henry, who are obviously only really
helpful in win now scenarios. So there aren't that many
(12:52):
running backs that are very highly valued, at least by
way of this chart. It really is. Unless you're getting
one of the veterans as like kind of a push
to win this year, you know, you're looking at like
seventeen ish assets if you want to call him that.
That is like really what you're working with here. So
it's an interesting position. I mean, that's kind of always
a case right where it's you want to be strong there,
(13:14):
but it's you know, short shelf life, injury risk, all
that stuff. Does anybody else stand out to you? I
do want to ask about Kien Williams actually before before
I throw it to you for other names. He doesn't
move in this chart because it was done a couple
of days before. I don't know if he would have
moved regardless, but he signs a reasonably sized extension with
the Rams. Somebody who you know, I feel like every
(13:38):
year we talk about whatever third round rookie, you know,
Blake Korra or jar Quiz Hunter like can bring something
different to this offense. You know, he has been a
really volume heavy running back, but not the most efficient
or explosive. But the Rams are investing in him financially,
and they're committing to, you know, years of him making
(13:58):
you know, I think it's eleven million dollars a year,
which I believe is seventh high amongst running backs.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
I saw.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I didn't double check that, but that's not nothing, and
it's in a Sean McVay offense. And we've seen him
get usage before. So with this information, would you have
ranked him higher than RB fourteen. Well, we're really really
a tie for RB eleven. He's the same numerical value
as Jacobs, Walker, Brown, and Kyrin are all in that
eleven or fourteen range tie. But would you have ranked
him at the top of that group?
Speaker 2 (14:23):
You know, his ranking has not changed for me worm
just because I always thought he was going to be
the lead guy this year. But I mean, I do
think his dynasty managers get to rest a little easier because,
as you mentioned, he hasn't been a super explosive or
super efficient running back. But running backs in Sean McVay
(14:46):
offenses are pretty valuable if they are getting the heavy workload.
So now we don't have to loose sleep about the role,
especially since the Rams have been adding backs in the
draft with Blake Korum last year, Jarquez Hunter this year.
Like he is the lead guy, and those guys, you know,
if you were speculating on one of them becoming a
(15:07):
potential Kyron Williams replacement might have to wait a while.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Would you move down Jarkis Hunter or you know RB
forty nine and blaken RB fifty three specifically, where would
you rank them with this information?
Speaker 2 (15:22):
See that's the thing, Maybe a bit though, because like
it was always which one would it be if it
was going to be either of them, and like, there
was never any guarantee that one of them would of
a side Kyron Williams. So those guys were always pretty
speculative assets, and I think they kind of remain. So
it's just that now sort of a major injury, like,
(15:46):
it's hard to see them getting significant playing time in
the next couple of years.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Jaden Blue actually dropped a bit in value in this chart.
There have been some reports lately that he's doing kind
of pretty well in training camp and even getting some
first team reps here and there. Would I mean, not
that you'd dropped him, you know, crazy far or anything,
but is any regret in dropping him? If things are
maybe turning around, would you want to maybe bump him back?
I mean, he's RB fifty five. He was in the
(16:13):
like RB forty forty nine range. It's not like it's
a crazy fall, But do you think he belongs inside
the top fifty?
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Now that he's getting a little bit more run in
those I don't know, there were those troubling reports about
his work ethic. I'm not sure what to make of it.
And he's going to be a real hard guy to
get a read on, Like in hindsight, maybe he should
have stayed about the same. And just for the record,
it's not just me arbitrarily moving guys around the board.
(16:42):
This is fueled by the combined rankings of myself, Derek Brown,
and Andrew Erickson. So but yeah, like, I don't know,
I feel like the news about training camp started with
sort of troubling reports on him, and lately the reports
have been much more encouraging. So probably should have just
stayed where we had him.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Wide receiver is similar to running back and that there
aren't a ton of major movers here. Courland Sutton is
somebody who did go up a bit. He obviously had
signed his own extension here. Is that what drove the
rise in his value? He goes from he's wide receiver
forty Now the numerical value goes from thirty two to
thirty seven, So thirty two would have been doubted about
(17:27):
wide receiver forty seven. So about a seven spot jump
here for him five in terms of numerical value. Was
that driven by the extension in Denver?
Speaker 2 (17:36):
Yeah, partly the extension, and I think partly he was
just ranked a little bit too low. I don't know,
he's just a guy who doesn't seem too quicken the
pulses of fantasy of dynasty people very much. But we're
looking at a guy who is the clear number one
receiver on what should be a pretty good offense.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Where do you have him ranked personally?
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Let's see so on the chart he is number forty
wide receiver forty, and in my dynasty rankings he is
wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
I've got him in forty three.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
I expected you to have this memorized fits.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Yes, that's yeah, maybe a little lower than I should
have him, but.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah, I want to ask at the top of the
receiver position fits tomorrow. Chase is ninety four trade value
and Jefferson is a ninety. I'm surprised the gap is
even that wide between the two just by reputation. It
feels like their neck and next. I do think Chase
being one is the correct way to do it. So
if it was like ninety four versus ninety three, like,
(18:41):
that's no problem to me that there is a gap
four spots and numerical value that actually went up. It
was just two prior to this last update it Chase
was a ninety two and Jefferson was a ninety three.
Excuse me. Jefferson was a ninety one and Chase was
a ninety three, So yeah, it was a two two
numerical value gap. Now it's four that going up. I mean,
I know, rookie quarterback, you know, essentially a rookie quarterback
(19:05):
in Minnesota. Jefferson had the hamstring thing early in training camp. Again,
I think Chase should be first, But it does feel
like they should be more neck and neck, doesn't it.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
I think they should be neck and neck if they
had identical quarterbacks or nearly identical quarterbacks. But considering the
one has maybe the best peer passer in the league
as his quarterback and the other has a guy who's
not taken an NFL regular season snap, I think four
points is a reasonable difference between the two.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
So then let me ask you why why are Ceedee
Lamb and Malik Neighbors tied? Because they're three and four.
They're down in eighty two and eighty two. If quarterback
is a differentiator between Chase and Jefferson, do we think
that Neighbors is a better receiver than Lamb to the
point that the difference in quarterback means they should be
tied Because ceedee. Lamb has chemistry with Dak Prescott. Dak
(19:53):
Prescott is a very good passer. It's not like he's older,
but he's not like, you know, in his forties, whereas
Malik Neighbors is going to be getting passes from you know,
a very washed Russell Wilson like hopefully Jameis Winston would
be great. But I'm surprised if that's the reasoning behind
Chase and Jefferson separated that Lamb and Neighbors are equal.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Yeah, I mean Neighbors is younger and led the league
in targets last year, right, So I mean that's or
did he lead the league in targets?
Speaker 3 (20:20):
I forget, but I know he had more than Yeah,
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
I do understand the quarterback difference, but there's also an
age difference, and you know, Neighbors just got peppered with
targets right out of the gates.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
So I think you still feel good about him.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Plus, the Giants at least have options quarterback now if
Russ might may or may not be cooked yet Winston,
I mean, you always are going to feel good about
any receiver who is playing with Jamis Winston at any
given time. You're just not feeling great about the interception possibilities.
And they did trade up to get Jackson Dart and
(20:58):
I don't know whether he's going to be good or not,
but at least there they're trying at the quarterback position.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
I think if I had to plant my flag on
one player inside the top ten being too low. And
this isn't a question I prepped you for, so you
can take a second to think about, I'll give you
my answer first. But if I had to pick one,
I think Nico Collins should be higher than wide receiver nine.
He is entering his what fourth year, I think, right Pardith,
what I think is a very very good young, you know,
(21:24):
passing quarterback. I do think the offensive line stuff will
get better, even if it's not going to be elite
in you know, coming off of last season right away.
And I just think he's a stud like a lot
of the guys who do who kind of like really
focus on receivers like as a specialty, like Matt Harmon's
of the world, like basically are saying this guy is
(21:45):
like maybe the third receiver behind Chase and Jefferson, like
as a receiver just sitting aside fantasy and football. He's
really really good. I really trust the quarterback. Like, if
I'm looking here, I'm not saying this is correct, but
I personally like, I I might rather have him than
Drake London, Pukunakua Amanras Saint Brown, Like, I just it
would not stun me. If Nico Collins was wide receiver
(22:07):
three this season and giving wide receiver one or a
run for their money. I think wide receiver nine's too
low for him.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
I've got him ahead of Amen Raw and so I
kind of agree. I mean, I Rick London like really
broke out once the uh Falcons offense was sort of
freed from the constraints of what it had been with
Kirk Cousins as the quarterback and not really taking shots downfield.
And we saw Zach Robinson hues London in the slot
more last year. So like, I'm really bullish on London,
(22:37):
but I think we could be bullish on Nico too. Really,
the only knock on him is that he's missed a
handful of games each of the last two years.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
Yeah, I was going to say, like because he was
breaking out to last season, it was just you know,
prior to the injury, but he was you know certainly
had an extremely strong start to the year in twenty
twenty four first five weeks hundred and seventeen yards, hundred
thirty five yards, eighty six yards, hundred fifty one yards,
seven twenty eight yards and three touchdowns in that span
those first five weeks. So like he was looking the
(23:06):
part of, you know, an elite, elite, elite fantasy wide receiver.
So yeah, I just wanted to shout him out because
hes still there is anybody if you, if I limited
you to inside the top ten, that you would say, like,
this is actually a guy that I think is too low.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
No, I mean, I think they're all pretty spot on,
and it's hard to think. It is really hard to
differentiate between Brian Thomas Junior, Puka Nikua, Amena Saint Brown,
Drake London, Nico Collins. Take any dynasty managers, put them
together and try to get a consensus on how to
sort out those five.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
I think you might get five different answers.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yeah, I think I'd have Nico like fifth or sixth
behind like Chase Jefferson, Lamb and Neighbors I think are
on assailable inside the top four from a fantasy perspective,
But like I would start making the case for Nico
as early as five, even though I think i'd maybe
rank him about six. The other kind of piece, the
other kind of piece of news from today fits is
a player that we've talked about before that you like,
(24:00):
and that's Jordan Addison. I might have skipped past him.
I don't. Oh here is okay I Wide receiver twenty six.
His numerical value is forty nine. It's just behind a
four way tie at fifty of a Zay Flowers, Jalen Wattle,
TK Metcalf, Savior Worthy or just ahead of him right
behind him are George Pickens, Jamison Williams. So he's just
not He's not inside the top twenty four. He now,
(24:22):
of course, is going to be suspended the first three
games of the season. We're talking dynasty. It's the long
term perspective, so I wouldn't expect him to move too
much as a result of that, but you know, it
is something that is has happened that he is dealing with.
He of course is the number two target in an
offense with this question mark of a quarterback and JJ McCarthy,
who a lot of people do like, but it has
(24:44):
not been proven yet. And I remember talking last year
specifically when we were talking about Romadoonsa, about how rare
it is for a rookie quarterback to support multiple high
level fantasy options, because you know, we're talking about Kayla
Williams and DJ Moore and Row mcdoonsa. So if you
kind of viewed JJ McCarthy through the prism of a
(25:07):
rookie quarterback because he has not played before, even though
it is technically his second year in the NFL, you
know that when they're both in the field, Justin Jefferson
is going to get the lion's share of targets. So
are you worried about Addison for this season in fantasy
and maybe worried about it even in dynasty because it's
not like Justin Jefferson is older. If JJ McCarthy is
(25:28):
not this prolific passer that we want him to be, I.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
Mean, I do have some concerns about this year.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Certainly, he's not going to be ranked in the mid
twenties in redraft this year because he's going to miss
time with the suspension and because he is the number
two target on a team with a breaking in a
new quarterback. So yeah, I totally get the point on this,
and we have dropped him two value points from last month,
(25:56):
maybe partly because of that three game suspension, although that
is less of a big deal for a player like
Addison who is just embarking on his NFL career as
opposed to you know, the four or five point value
hit that Joe Mixon took because he's an older running
back dealing with a foot injury and you know, has
(26:17):
maybe a good year or two left, and now he
might miss some of that, you know, some of the
little time he has left. So I think Addison is
more of a long range play than a twenty twenty
five play.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
In a nutshell, let's.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Wrap up this section with the tight ends. A little
bit more movement here, Not nothing crazy or drastic, but TJ.
Hockinson moves up a bit in his value, Tucker Craft
moves up a bit in his value. Those guys are
still in the same order, but kind of shortening the
gap between those two and increasing the gap between Tucker
(26:56):
Craft a tight end eight and anybody behind him. You know,
the tight end nine is of a joku. That gap
increased between Craft and a Joku. Was there anything in
particular that led to Craft, let's say specifically, kind of
moving up in value.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Just seems that the buzz has been strong with him
in training camp, and he is a player who had
great after the catch metrics last year. I mean, there
might be a little bit of George Kittle in Tucker
Craft and in an ambiguous wide receiver situation such as
(27:33):
the one Green Bay has like there is room for
Tucker Craft to grow his target share in this offense.
And the fact that he's still young and showed such
promise last year, I mean, I think the arrows sort
of pointed up for him.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
A little further down the list, Isaiah likely does go
up in value. Obviously did this come out before This
did come out before the foot injury, right, so that
clearly not deterring you or Deep Ericsson collectively from moving
him inside the top twelve. Tight ends.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Yeah, another guy who's more of a play for the
future then for this year. And we've talked about how
Mark Andrews and Isaiah likely are both coming to the
end of their contracts, and it seems to be that
maybe the Ravens are a little more likely to re
sign likely than Mark Andrews.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Let me backtrack up higher on the list for a moment.
I hopefully I'm not calling out an error in this
thing in front of everybody. But is this a typo
or is it true that Tyler Warren is the same
value as Colston Loveland in a regular format, but he
is lower than Colston Loveland in tight end premium? They're
(28:45):
both a forty six in trade value numerically in a
regular league, whereas Warren is a fifty in tight end
premium and Colson Loveland is a fifty five. Interestingly, if
you go one spot lower George Kittle, who's tight end
six on the list, you know he's three spots lower
than Tyler Warren in regular, but he is one spot
(29:06):
higher in tight end premium. Similar with TJ. Hockinson, who's
higher than Warren in premium but lower in regular. Is
that on purpose or should that tight end premium value
be the same as love lit at fifty five?
Speaker 2 (29:17):
I think it should be the same. I think that
is a mistake. Like I know, in some cases there's
a little bit of a difference, like Kittle is closer
to like his tight end premium value bump is not
as much as it is for other tight ends because
he is not a high volume pass catcher, and the
high volume guys get the bigger bump, the brock Bauers
(29:38):
and Tray mcbrides of the world. But Warren and Loveland
I think should be the same. And I think that
is a typo.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
It feels and by the way, TJ Ho, I wonder
if what it is is Hockinson and Warrens tight end
premium values are switched, because if they were switched, then
they would be kind of aligned in the same order
on both columns. So we'll go ahead make sure you
get that updated for everybody who's using the chart in
the tight end premium league. I do think, like I
am really coming around in the idea that Colson Lovelin
(30:09):
might just be really good. I mean, I have always
liked him. This isn't like me I was fading him
and now I'm not. But I kind of think he
should be ahead of Warren, and they're currently you know,
we think without the typo, should be tied, you know,
just behind the top three at the position. I kind
of think Loveland should be tight end four in Dynasty.
You know, it seems like he's running ahead of Cole
Kmet obviously Cole Comte has had, you know, a little
(30:30):
bit of banged up training camp as well. Again, we
know what Ben Johnson has done historically with you know,
he's been willing to use rock. He tight ends there's
a reason Sam la Porta is aside as he is,
like I and just with the quarterback question mark in
in Indye, I am not saying to knock Warren down
a ton, but if you ask me to pick between
the two, I'm not really hesitating. I'm taking Colson Loveland
(30:50):
because I think he's going to be better in year
one and I don't see any reason why he can't
be better long term as well.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Oh, I think Warren's going to be better in year one.
I guess we're just going to disagree on that.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
I think.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
I mean, there's just so much less target competition for
I mean, Dj Moore has averaged eleven hundred yards over
the last six years. Luther Burden is like having a
really good camp ever since he recovered from the hamstring injury.
And like we know, Ben Johnson likes defeat a slot
receivers and Romo Dunes was a top ten draft pick
last year. Like I just I'm not seeing where Colston
(31:23):
lovelin gets more than like seventy seventy five targets this year.
I could be wrong about that, Whereas Warren, I think
it's going to be like a focal point of the
Colts offense right away.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
Yeah, I mean it's a fair concern. I think. I
just I trust the offense a lot more with Caleb
Williams and Ben Johnson than I do. And I like
Shane Steichen, So I'm not saying the Colts offense is
going to be a disaster, but just the quarterback position
I just think is too difficult to trust to the
point that I do like Loveland better this year. And
(32:01):
and I think that even that there's a lot of
receiving options in Chicago, but I do think love Them
will be the clear number one tight end option, and
I think that's going to have a real significant role
for Ben Johnson and for Kayleb Williams. So and I
think it's it's meaningful that like Ben Johnson came in
the first pick he ever makes in this organization and
it's a top ten pick. Is Colson Lovelin That that
(32:23):
matters to me in terms of the usage I expect
out of him. So I always tell people when Fits,
and I disagree you should side with Fits, but I
am not coming off my stance. I do wish maybe
we could make a bet about that, who has a
better year one here or something we could talk about
that maybe on the on the mats.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Well, it's interesting.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
I'm here in Chicago, and if you're willing to talk
about how much you trust Caleb Williams, you are making
a leap of faith that a lot of people here
in Chicago have not been willing to make.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
I've seen some of the highlights. I am aware I'm
trusting him more than I'm trusting you know, below fifty
percent accuracy Anthony Richardson, I'll put it. I kind of
do they will end up being the starter for Indy, Like,
I don't think it's going to be Daniel Jones, at
least for most of the season. I could be wrong
about that. I just don't want to deal with that headache,
(33:12):
right Like I don't want to play those guessing games
in Indy. Whereas I believe in the talent of Caleb
and I'm gonna trust that he and Ben Jonson figure
it out. But there is it's very justifiable to be
concerned there. I'll admit, I will go ahead and wrap
up the tight ends there. I do want to let

(33:54):
let's get to our listener questions. I need to pull
back up discord, which I don't currently have in front
of me, so apologies for that for everybody. Oh, we
got a ton going on in the chat. Let's start
working through some of the chat and then we'll start
bringing some folks up on the on the stages as well.
I'm scrolling back up to the start here. All right,
(34:16):
first question here from Bunting. He's asking our thoughts on
his roster. He's nervous about being a contender this year
with his death at quarterback and running back. I'll just
read through quickly. Some of these names, you can do
the same thing in the chat as well. He's got
Patrick Mahomes, Kyler, Murray Kirk Cousins. It is a super
flex league. It is PPR. He's got Christian McCaffrey, Chase Brown,
and then some aging veterans or young guys like Kyle
(34:39):
Manung Guy, DJ Giddens, Grendo. He's got Austin Eckler, Romadre Stevenson,
wide receiver, Ceedee Lamb, DJ moore, Za Flowers, Jalen Wattle,
Travis Hunter, Kean Coleman, Matthew Golden to Mecha Buca. So
obviously a lot of receiving talent there. And then at
tight end TJ. Hockinson, John now Smith and Pat Fryarmuth
so and there's he has no first round pick in
twenty twenty six, but he two seconds. So if it's
(35:01):
when you when you hear this, it is a three
ride receiver starting lineup. Does that sound like a good
contending roster to you in a super flex PPR league
or would you be nervous a bit.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Of a purgatory team. I mean, it looks pretty solid,
probably not one of the two most loaded teams in
Bunting's league. So I think it's maybe one of those
teams where you don't want to commit to either going
for it or waving the white flag going into the season.
Maybe give it a month to see how things go
(35:33):
and kind of take it from there. With this team,
I mean, it's like a really solid team.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
You know, my.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
Guests would be this looks like a seven and six
type team right now, so you.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Gotta get a little better. I agree that I don't
think it's going to be top two in his league,
but I think this this looks like a playoff team
to me, assuming health. Really, like running back is a
position where like those top two guys need to stay
healthy and be good. Yeah, the receivers, like I love
that you have Hunter Golden and Agbuka and Kean Coleman,
(36:06):
and yet those guys are all outside your top four
receivers Like that, there's significant upside there. I think even
as early as zeer one, that could pan out and
make you your receiver room look like the deepest in
the league. And so if Mahomes comes out and the
Chiefs offense is explosive again and McCaffrey and Brown say healthy,
now those are ifs. But if that happens, I do
(36:28):
think this is a playoff team, but you're also on
injury away from it not working. I actually wouldn't hate saying, listen,
the receivers are all pretty young, Mahomes and Kyler, we
think of a few more years to go, why don't
I just kind of lean into not a rebuild, but say,
let me really position myself for just one more year
from now and get a haul for Christian McCaffrey from
(36:51):
a team that's in win now mode. Because I think
you can do that if a team is in win
now mode and needs a running back and then kind
of say, all right, these are going to be the pieces,
whether the young guys now or draft picks. That set
me up to really like hammer the running back position
going into next season and be kind of loaded. I
wouldn't hate that personally.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
And Bonting is wall position to go either way, because
if he wants to step on the gas and like
try to go for it now at Buka and Travis
Hunter are great. Those are the guys you would bait
the hook with.
Speaker 1 (37:23):
He's also got two first round picks in twenty twenty seven,
which we really liked that class. So that's good stuff there.
All right, let's go to it needs more cow bell here,
need to make roster cuts by August tenth to keep eleven.
Who would you cut from below? Jalen Warren, Nick Chubb,
Taj Spears, Ricky Piersoll. He needs to keep two of those,
(37:43):
and then he lists his other nine keepers. So just
to read through those quickly, it's stroud to JJ McCarthy,
Chase Brown, Garrett Wilson, Puku Nakua, Jerry Judy, Roma Dunza,
and Samuel Porta. So a very strong group of keepers.
Adding two more to that list again, picking from Jalen Warren,
Nick Chubb, Ty J Spears and Ricky Pearsaw has to.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Keep, Pearsall has to cut Chob. I think it's between
Warren and Spears Worm, and I find that to be
a tough call. I'm probably going with the guy who
has two functioning acls and Jalen Warren. I guess what
about you?
Speaker 1 (38:23):
I want one hundred percent agree on Chubb is an
easy cut and Pearsall is an easy keep. The yeah
that I do agree that the questions between the other two.
I feel like Spears is maybe a bit of a
higher ceiling and Warren maybe a higher fight or I don't.
I don't know that Warren is going to be the
He's going to the opportunity to get a heavy workload
in Pittsburgh just because of Caleb Johnson, but I think
(38:44):
he will have a role that is meaningful. It's worth
noting that cow Bell doesn't have any running back sat
of keeping besides Chase Brown, so whoever this is is
like kind of the number two barring whoever else he
can add on draft day, I would probably lean Warren,
but to me, it'd be very valid to pick Spears
as well if that's the direction he wanted to go.
(39:06):
But definitely don't keep Chubb and definitely keep pearceall.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
I A mean, it is a good debate between those
two running backs.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
Question from Herbs and Cheese, what are we doing with Sampson?
Just got him at the three oh four in a
rookie draft and feels like his value might only go
down from here. Trade him for Sharbonay as the Kenneth
Walker owner. I don't agree that his value is only
going to go down from here. I really liked Samson.
He was like my arb. I think I want to
say it was like a Marbi seven going prior to
(39:36):
the draft, and it's obviously was disappointing when he gets
paired with another rookie who went much higher than him
on draft Day. But if Dudkins is facing any kind
of fallout from the legal issues, there's real runway here
for Sampson in a run heavy offense. And I like
the player. That's not to say you can't trade him.
And I think Sharbonay is a really interesting target given
(39:56):
that you're the walker manager. But I wouldn't automatically assume
that his value is going to go down. I think
it could go up.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Yeah, it's possible. I mean I.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Really liked what he just like watching him and what
he'd like. Good contact balance for a smaller back, fast,
really impressive lateral agility, flashy moves like surprisingly affected between
the tackles for a smaller guy, fight for extra yardage,
(40:28):
kind of a patient runner. Although it's always kind of
hard to project players and maybe especially running backs from
that Josh Hypel offense because they like to spread the
field and it lets the running backs run against a
lot of lighter boxes. So I think some people were
excited about Jalen Wright last year, and you know, he
(40:49):
didn't hasn't looked really very good to this point. But
I do like Samson too. I don't know, like it
is possible that he does play a prominent role in
this Judkins thing, like opens the door for him. It's
possible Judkins comes back and Sampson still plays a prominent role.
So at the same time, though, I like sharbon A too,
(41:11):
and if you could do that, I might be willing
to pull the trigger on creating Sampson.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
For sharbon A, I would be willing to move Sampson.
I just don't think it's like, oh, sell, hi, grat
your opportunity.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Agreed.
Speaker 1 (41:24):

answered and be on the show at fantasypros dot Com
slash chat. All right, fits, we've got somebody here from
b Dev's. He's with you on London. He's trying to overpay,
but doesn't want to be too stupid to get him.
This is a super flex TPR ten team league. He's
learning what he should give up for him if he
believes in that much. Should he be willing to tear
(42:07):
down from Justin Jefferson to get him, or maybe maybe
while simultaneously tearing up from somebody like Kyler to Nick's
players that the other team has of interest. In addition
to London, Nix Pennix and Gino, Tyreek Sutton and Downs,
players that Beadev's had and have include Kyler, Derrek, Henry Jamar,
Chase and Justin Jefferson and A. J. Brown and Terry McLaurin,
(42:32):
Dak Prescott, you know, Tony Pollard, David Montgomery. So not
a lot of death at running back, but obviously elite receivers.
Speaker 2 (42:39):
Yeah, I mean, it's just gonna be hard to go
out and get him when you've got Chase and Jefferson
and unless you want to give up Chase Jefferson scale
down to Drake London from there and get the other
manager to throw in something extra.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
Otherwise it's gonna be hard because I don't know.
Speaker 2 (42:54):
I mean, like Kyler Kyler Murray is Kyler Murray plus
jew Maybe he gets tough Drake London, but then you're
perilously thin at court. Well then you don't even really
have a second quarterback. So I don't think you're in
a position to give up either of your quarterbacks. You know,
I don't think you want to give up Chaser Jefferson,
(43:16):
and I don't think putting together some poo poo platter
of older veterans is gonna you know, do you think
Tony Pollard isn't going to get it done?
Speaker 1 (43:26):
What do you think about AJ Brown as giving him up?
Speaker 4 (43:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (43:30):
But I mean I think because of the age difference,
you'd probably have to give up AJ Brown plus juice.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Yeah, but maybe not too much. I mean a J.
Brown Still he's not like crazy old and he's still
really good.
Speaker 3 (43:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
I mean, I if I were the other manager, I
would probably like man, I would I think I'd want
pretty significant juice honestly to go from London. Who I
feel great about do AJ Brown? Who's you know, squarely
in his prime moving towards past prime.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
Okay, a question here from fly Eagles Sly speaking of
aj Brown ten team full PPR one quarterback Dynasty League.
Would you buy any of these players for a twenty
twenty eight first round pick if you are a contender.
Note he owns this guy's twenty twenty six first and
second round picks and his twenty twenty seven first. He's
asking because he'd love to do some damage to his
(44:23):
team early to try and land love with the one
oh one next year. Arguably got the worst roster in
the league. This guy his next best player is not shown.
Our Matthew Golden, Kayla Williams, cam Ward, a bunch. Everyone
else is old as dirt. So the team here that
you know he's got listed is you know you can
(44:44):
see it in the chat here fits Lamar Connor Pollard,
Tyreek Cup Diggs, John Warren, Brian Robinson, Travis Kelsey. Would
you give up a twenty twenty eight first to get
any of those guys knowing that you're going to get
this guy's first round pick next year?
Speaker 3 (45:03):
Man, So.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
We are looking at I mean, some of these guys
are obviously not attainable for a twenty eight twenty at first, Like,
you're not, I don't even think Derrick Henry is gettable?
Speaker 3 (45:19):
Oh wait? Or am I looking at.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
Derrick Henry is his team? The guys he's looking to
get with the twenty twenty eight are Lamar Connor Pollard, Tyreek,
Cup Digs, John hu Jalen Warren, Brian Robinson or Travis
Kelcey or I guess maybe Matthew Golden Man.
Speaker 3 (45:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
I mean, he's got Derrick Henry, Bucky Irving, Kenneth Walker.
I don't know if I'm giving up a twenty twenty
eight first for EPP, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (45:51):
Like I think, I think to me, the guy that
it would make the most sense to do it for
is is actually Tyreek Kill. And I'm not saying that
I necessarily want to, but that's the one that's justifiable
to me, justifiable to me as I want to win now.
And if you, if you are a believer, which I
kind of have not really been this summer, but if
(46:12):
you are a believer that Tyreek has another elite year
left in him, to me, that's saying, okay, it's a
pick three years from now. I'm trying to get a
guy swing for the fences this year, who, if he's good,
is also gonna help. It's gonna help to take this
guy away from this roster to improve me having his
pick next year. That's the one to me. If I'm
giving up a first and it's strictly a I am
(46:33):
a believer in Tyreek for another season. I'm not saying
that I am that believer, but I think that's that's
where the mindset comes in.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
I get it all right.
Speaker 1 (46:42):
Question here from Roger Rush two quarterback PPR league, which
player would you keep Bijon in the first, Jaden in
the fourth, Molik Neighbors in the fifth, or Brian Thomas
Junior in the sixteenth? Obviously like bija Well, actually, I
was gonna say obviously Bejeon is the best player here
in a two QB league. Maybe best player actually is Jayden,
but Brian Thomas Junior in the sixteenth is so much
(47:04):
later those other guys. It's a lot of good options.
What do you think fits? Oh Man are Neighbors in
the fifth seems really good too. I mean they're all
pretty appealing. I think I think it's not Bijon in
the first, just because even though he is my number
one pick in drafts this year, or Himore Chasey's inside
the top two, I just think the other guys are too.
(47:24):
Are two good at values?
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Well, it's between BTJ and Jane Daniels. I mean, you
can make the case that Danels is the third most
valuable player in a two QB league and to get
him in the fourth but a twelve round gap, I know,
But like BTJ is going. You know, BTJ is probably
going late second round in a two QB league.
Speaker 3 (47:50):
Mid to late second. Man, I'm I'm pretty torn.
Speaker 1 (47:55):
I think I would pick Brian Thomas Junior, I think,
but I wouldn't arguet if you wanted to pick Jaden.
Speaker 5 (48:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
I'm really on the fence with this one.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
Like I could sign off on the BTJ thing, but man,
is it close?
Speaker 1 (48:09):
Yeah? All right, we'll circle back to some more of
these chat questions. I do want to pull some folks
up on the stages as well here, so we'll do
a few of those and we'll get back to more
of those questions in the chat. Let's pull up CFC fan.
Oh wait, somebody, Oh did you pull up be devs
here fits?
Speaker 3 (48:26):
No?
Speaker 1 (48:27):
Oh, Okay, I don't know how you got up here,
A b dev's what's going on?
Speaker 6 (48:30):
Sorry? Can you hear me?
Speaker 1 (48:32):
Yeah, yeah we can.
Speaker 6 (48:33):
Sorry.
Speaker 7 (48:33):
I was just trying to raise my hand. I guess
I cut in line.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
No, you're all good.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
If I will get to everybody, What do you got
for it?
Speaker 5 (48:40):
Thank you?
Speaker 7 (48:40):
I appreciate your input on the last question about London.
Just got one more question. I got offered a different league,
but I have pickings, and they're offering me Tyreek and Mooney,
who I know has the recent injury. I am a contender,
but I just feel like Tyreek's a little I feel
(49:03):
like they're a little closer to ECR than er in
rankings than the ECR leads on to believe.
Speaker 6 (49:08):
And I kind of wanted to hear your thoughts on that.
Speaker 7 (49:10):
The trade analyzer says I'm winning, but I don't know
if I really believe in in Tyreek having another top
tier season.
Speaker 6 (49:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:19):
I think this one really comes down to what you
believe Tyreek is going to do this year. If you
think that last year was just kind of injury driven
and that he's going to be back to his usual
self and this offense is going to look a lot
more cohesive, then I could totally see the case as
a contender for doing this. That hasn't really been my
opinion this summer, so I tend to lean towards not
valuing Tyreek as highly fit. Some curious what you think?
Speaker 3 (49:42):
Yeah, Devs, could you mute yourself?
Speaker 8 (49:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (49:45):
Sorry about that, That's okay.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
Yeah, I mean it all depends if what is the
probability that we get a twelve hundred yard nine touchdown
season from Tyreek?
Speaker 3 (49:58):
Hell, because if you're playing for the here and now,
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
I mean I think maybe that makes it worthwhile and
you get Mooney as depth, But right now Bonie has
a shoulder injury. I just don't know how much I'm
willing to bet on the bounce back from Tyreek. Man,
I would probably keep shopping on that one be death
(50:23):
and just like I get it, and Pickens is a
good bait for a team trying to trade you some
win now assets. But I'm just not totally confident that
last year was a total floke with Tyreek.
Speaker 7 (50:37):
Yeah, I kind of feel that. And I'm honestly pretty
high on Dickens too. I think he's gonna have a
great year. So yeah, I guess I'll keep shopping. Thanks
a lot, you.
Speaker 1 (50:46):
Bet, Thank you. All right, let's go to CFC Finn. Now,
what's up, guys, how's it going?
Speaker 3 (50:54):
Hey, we're good.
Speaker 8 (50:55):
Are you doing well? So I just dropped my team
in the chat, but you guys are familiar with it
at this point for the most part. Really just looking
for running backs right now, and one guy owns the
top two running backs for the Vikings, Cardinals and Giants.
So just curious what you think fair value would be
to buy one of those backfields. He asked for my first,
(51:17):
but as a rebuilder, that could be early, so I'd.
Speaker 6 (51:20):
Rather not sell that one if I can.
Speaker 8 (51:21):
So do you think like sending a late first and
something small might be overpaying or potentially getting justin fields
involved because he's light at QB. But yeah, just curious
what you think those backfields are worth.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
It's what do you think maybe getting fields involved if
you're a rebuilder. I don't think i'd want to give up,
you know, like I don't want to give up a
first for James Connor, Aaron Jones, even Jordan Mason who's
not no who's got a few years on him and
doesn't really catch passes. I don't believe in Trey Benson.
(51:58):
The iron Tracy Scataboo thing is kind of murky right now,
so and I'd want to be really.
Speaker 3 (52:06):
Cautious, like.
Speaker 2 (52:08):
Justin fields would be a it would be a good
place to start the thing is then, I mean maybe
he would owe you some juice rather than vice versa.
Is I does the other team win now DFC or
are they rebuilding?
Speaker 8 (52:23):
Yeah, he's he's a contender, but like he has ten
startable running backs, like he's got Caleb Johnson, R J. Harvey,
Jalen Warren. He's got both running backs from those three
backfields that I listed so like, and he's also loaded
at receiver too, so he's got options.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
But yeah, I would definitely be willing to move fields
because I mean, you obviously have Herbert may As you're
one and two, and Gino is a perfectly fine I
think QB three this year. So like, I would have
no problem kind of dangling the upside of fields to
help get somebody, truthfully.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Yeah, for who would you go for? Connor?
Speaker 8 (53:03):
Ideally by both in the backfield, so it would be
like Connor plus Benson.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
For oh, I see, I don't.
Speaker 8 (53:11):
Know fields plus or if there is a plus or
like what that would be?
Speaker 2 (53:16):
Yeah, that makes sense to get one lock up one
of the backfields, and I'd probably do it with the
Probably my order of preference would probably be Vikings backfield, Cardinals,
and then Giants, even though the Giants guys are younger.
Speaker 3 (53:30):
I just well, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
I mean, I guess you are sort of not planning
on contending this year, so actually maybe that would flip
it for me, like getting those two Giants guys since
they both are young and interesting.
Speaker 8 (53:42):
Sweet. Yeah, that's that's kind of how I viewed it too,
Like the like Vikings would be my priority if I
was a little bit more competitive right now. But yeah, Giants,
I like Scattabooz, so see if there's something there.
Speaker 2 (53:57):
Yeah, I think trading out of your rather than giving
up pick, so I would maybe want to deal off
some of that quarterback Depp.
Speaker 8 (54:03):
Okay, cool, awesome, Thanks guys.
Speaker 1 (54:05):
Awesome, Thanks for the question asker. Let's get a big
ray here.
Speaker 5 (54:11):
Hey can you guys hear me?
Speaker 1 (54:12):
Okay, we can, Thanks wropping On.
Speaker 5 (54:15):
Thank you appreciated. I dropped my team at a chat.
So it's a twelve team half point PPR one QB League,
no Taxi squad. So yeah, it's kind of a two
part question. First question is I have won last year
so and I was a pretty decent gap, so I
(54:36):
think I'm still pretty good continued this year. I'll go
to gaps closing when is kind of that point where
you kind of look at your team and start thinking, Okay,
I need to look at trying to rebuild or at
least we start the shelves to try to shorten the rebuild.
And then I'll ask the second question after that one.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
Yeah, I mean in looking at your team personally, like
this team is like strong enough that I would just say,
like I wouldn't even think about that, honestly, I would
just say, like, let you know, Flags fly forever, try
and go back to back and you know, be able
to point to that for as long as the league exists,
and you know have that in your you know, kind
of on your resume. You have Lamar, you have Derrick
Henry of Christian McCaffrey, like you know that it's guys
(55:20):
who are older, but I could still be really really
good this year, like particularly at running back, and you know,
same with DeVante Adams at receiver. So when I look
at this team, I say, like I would just try
and win again and and worry about the future when
it gets it's it's not that hard to turn things
around quickly in a dynasty league if you're smart. It
doesn't mean it's like a one year rebuild. But I
think if you make kind of shrewd moves, you can
(55:42):
do it relatively quickly. I wouldn't worry about like, oh,
I went so far in on this year that now
I'm in, you know, this five year drought of making
the playoffs. Like I would just say, trying to kind
of go all in for now and worry about the
future in the future fits What do you think looking
at this team.
Speaker 2 (55:59):
Yeah, I mean would take something big ray, Like I
don't know, CMC goes down with the season ending injury,
and Matthew Stafford's back thing lingers into the season and
he's having a poor season, drags down Devonte's numbers. Saw
all of a sudden, you're you know, you've got one
good running back, your wide.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
Receiver fire power takes a hit. Oh I forgot you
have Kamara too.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
But you know, like if the injuries start to add
up and maybe you say, Okay, look, I've got hours
in mcconkee, and that's and Lamar and that's my future
and I'm going to.
Speaker 3 (56:30):
Build off those three guys.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
But right now, this is absolutely a team where like,
stick it out with this group, take one last charge,
and then reassess at the end of the season when
all these guys and some of whom are pretty old,
are a little bit older, and then maybe you know,
maybe this is your last, your last grab at the
brass ring.
Speaker 3 (56:53):
Man.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
I do like this team. It's old, but yeah, you
could go back to back, and going back to back.
Speaker 3 (56:59):
Is what it's all about.
Speaker 5 (57:00):
Man.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
If you can do that, well worth hanging in there
for one more shot at.
Speaker 5 (57:04):
It, and then the second question will be based on
that staying in the contending mode. There's a team in
the league that is just overloaded at receiver but really
doesn't have any running backs. Like his only starting running
back is Brice Hall, and then he's got Ray Davis
potentially depending on what happens with Cob and then that's it.
(57:27):
It's starting running backs for him, but it's receivers that
he has. He's going to start three.
Speaker 3 (57:33):
Nico T.
Speaker 5 (57:34):
Higgins Tech McMillan, Chris o'lave, Jayden Reed, Calvin Ridley and JSN.
So I'm thinking about trying to grab to one of them,
but do I'll go ahead and consider the sacrifice in
the first next year to try and grab one of
those and episode which.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
One trade I kind of like for you as just
sort of a framework, is maybe offering him Tyrone Tracy
for Calvin Ridley, Like Ridley's Dynasty value isn't isn't that
high just because he's an older guy, Like We've got
We've got Tracy's value at twenty seven on our chart
(58:14):
and Ridley at thirty, So I think it's in the
ballpark right away. Maybe try to float that one to
him for clearly a win now guy who to a
rebuilding team. Ridley, isn't that valuable? And Tyrone Tracy, especially
with this news that Scataboo might be out for a
while now and Tracy looks like the number one that's
I know. That was the report today from the Beat
(58:38):
writer who covers the Giants for ESPN, Jordan Renon. So
he made it sound like Tyrone Tracy is the guy
going into this year. Maybe that makes it an appealing deal.
For the other guy and it gives you another really
good wide out for this year.
Speaker 5 (58:54):
Okay, cool? And you don't think I should try to
pay up and maybe grab one of those premium guys
you think it's going to be too much.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
I think if you art with your first as a
contender to get like a JSN, and then I would
I don't think that would do it, since your first
is likely to be late, but if it would get
it done, I would certainly be willing to do that,
or like pair your first with Tracy to get like
one of the real high end guys. If that would
move the needle, I would do that. I just I
(59:21):
don't know if you disagree. I wouldn't expect it to work.
Speaker 2 (59:24):
Yeah, I mean, I just like if eventually, and maybe
it is this year, Like if the scenario I was
talking about where maybe Big rays a couple of guys
go down and he's like, Okay, it's not going to
be this year, and now I'm looking to rebuild right
in the face. It would be tough knowing you've just
traded away one of those first you know what I mean,
I wouldn't trying to keep that in your back pocket.
Speaker 5 (59:47):
That makes sense. And I did try to get Calvin
Ridley from him last year, so I know he's definitely
well in the part with them.
Speaker 2 (59:53):
So like the idea, Yeah, I like I try that
Tracy for Ridley offer. Like, I feel like that one's
pretty fair and that might get you, you know, the
extra boost a wide out you need.
Speaker 5 (01:00:06):
All right, cool, Thank you, Thanks.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Ran, Thanks man. All right, we want to get through
the last two guys with their hands raised, so I'm
gonna have to limit it to one question here if
you had multiple, sorry about that, but we want to
make sure we can get to everybody. Spring up, g dog.
Speaker 6 (01:00:21):
Hello, can you guys hear me?
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Yes, we can. How's it going.
Speaker 6 (01:00:24):
I'm doing great? Thank you. I had a hard time
with the Michael last week, so I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Glad's work at this time. What do you got for us?
Speaker 6 (01:00:30):
All right? So I've sent my team. I just dropped
my team in the chat and the trade that went through,
it's pretty much breaking my league. I've got a couple
of people threatening to leave the league saying it's completely unfair,
so on and so forth. I will say, for context,
the person I made it, I'm the person I traded with.
I traded with him last year maybe week three. He
(01:00:51):
gave me his first and a second next year for
DJ Moore. He had a terrible record and I ended
up getting ashing gent So I think they're so a
little pissed about that. But I made the trade to
get Jordan Love, Rico and Abuca gave up Bigsby flowers
and a first And I just wondered your thoughtsome on
the trade. Is it some outlandish, you know, unbalanced trade,
(01:01:13):
just kind of your thoughts overall?
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
Is this is this?
Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
Yeah? I was gonna the same thing. Is this super
flex or not.
Speaker 6 (01:01:19):
Not super flex? Just one QB?
Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Okay, I don't I don't see why anybody would be
upset about this in my opinion, So just to recap
the trade for those who are listening to the show,
it's Jordan Love, Rico, Dawdell, and Mecha Buca for Tank
Bigsby's flowers and at twenty twenty six first, I like, Fitz,
do you disagree? I can't imagine why anybody would be
(01:01:43):
wanted to quit the league over something like this.
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Yeah, I mean in a one QB in a ten
team dynasty league, like one QB with ten teams that
just crushes.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
The value of quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Like if you don't Lamar, Josh l Jade Daniels, Jalen Hurts,
Joe Burrow, the top guys still have value, but it
crushes the value of all other quarterbacks besides the upper
tier guys. So Jordan Love is like worth less than
Tank Bigsby in a league like this, you know, So yeah,
(01:02:17):
Like I I don't.
Speaker 6 (01:02:21):
I mean I think that they're I don't know, there
was some just an issue to saying I was assembling
a super team wire teams helping me. I think that
they also severely don't. They don't like Zay Flowers and
thinking Buka is a much better prospect. So I don't know,
the whole thing's just yea three.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
I am personally fading Zay a bit, but Likegbuka is
the third guy, and I mean he might not be
that with Godwin's injury and everything, but like people are
wondering what he's even gonna do this year. I think
he's gonna have a good year. I really like the move,
but it's not like his value is so high that
this is collusion or a super team or anything. You're
also giving up our first rounder. Also tank. Bigsby might
(01:02:56):
be RB one for the Jags here at least, you know,
not including the passing work. So and Doubtell is like
kind of a nothing burger. Yeah, in all likelihood. So
I'm like a QB A in a one Q like
a non elite quarterback who I do like love. I
like the trade for you, honestly, but I can't imagine
looking at this as some kind of collusion, like like,
(01:03:16):
I hardly even look at this as unbalanced, let alone
like quit the league worthy. That is shocking to me.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
Truthfully, I like it Guka more than Flowers for Dynasty.
I do think a twenty twenty six first plus Bigsby
outweighs Jordan Love plus Rico Dowdell like j That was.
Speaker 6 (01:03:35):
That was one of my thoughts, my thought process, And
I think one of the other trades I sent it
in last week or two weeks ago was me giving
up Puka and Judkins for Lamar and a second and
I didn't really feel comfortable doing that. I figured this
helps me out. I'm in a better position at quarterback
without having to sacrifice a quality starter.
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Yeah, and even like even with our Dynasty trade value
chart and what Jordan Love's value is on that in
one QB we see it's thirty nine. I feel like
in a ten teamer you have to knock off like
seven or eight points and less from that value because
it's just if if you are not a top tier guy.
I mean, the supply so outpaces the demand for quarterbacks
(01:04:14):
in a one QB ten team dynasty that only the
top guys have value and pretty much everyone else is
just the value is flat.
Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
So and Zay Flowers is a good player. I mean,
he was a pro bowler last year. I know the
offense doesn't throw as much, but like he had a
thousand receiving yards and it's he's going into his third year.
There's there's still upside of day, even if I am
personally a little down on him and you're giving up
a first Like yeah, I again I am. I'm like
baffled at it. I hardly even think this is like lopsided.
(01:04:45):
Like again, let alone, I think I think a trade
needs to be really egregious for it to be like
I need to veto this or I'm gonna quit the
league over this, Like it's got to be really bad
to me. This isn't even unbalanced, let alone that so
like I would you know, I can't tell you how
to talk to your league mates, but I I am
(01:05:06):
very very shocked by that.
Speaker 3 (01:05:07):
React.
Speaker 6 (01:05:08):
Don't worry. I'll be time stamping this podcast.
Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
I was gonna say, this is here for posterity, so
direct your league mates to the hour mark of this show.
Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
And this is.
Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
Like as as fair a Diocey trade is. I think
you can get the scoring format.
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
At first, I thought he was going to tell us
it was super flex and I was gonna be like, yeah,
you you kind of fleeced him, but in one QB
ten team, No way, man, this is very fair.
Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
Your your league mats are just mad that they weren't
you able to make the trade themselves, because this is
this is a very fair deal.
Speaker 9 (01:05:40):
I appreciate it, Fellows, Thank you, thanks so much. All Right,
we've got one more hand raised here for Charlie, and
this will be the last person we pull up on
stages because as always we're going late fits. Yes, sir,
Hey guys, is this working?
Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
Yeah, thanks for hopping on, Charlie. What do you got
for us?
Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Thanks for bringing me up, sam My Dynasty team. We've
got a window the next month of August to potentially
look at rule changes. And I'm trying to figure out
what the best proposal is for changing up the way
we figure out the Dynasty rookie draft order. I hate
the way it is now, but I don't know a
good solution about, like, you know, keeping people from tanking
(01:06:24):
to get the first pick, or you have to win
the Constellation bracket. What happened last year was I made
a trade and got the worst team's pick, but then
as soon as he traded away all his picks, he
had no incentive to roster a good team for the playoffs.
(01:06:45):
So even though it probably should have been the first
overall pick, it ended up being the fourth because he
lost the Constellation bracket to win first pick. So, wondering
your thoughts on how to set up the rookie draft order.
Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
Okay, so it currently is the consolation bracket for you,
and you're wondering what to change it to. Is that correct?
Because I see in the chat you had kind of
written a little bit about that too. Do I have
that right?
Speaker 6 (01:07:08):
Yep, that's right?
Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
Okay, Fitz, what do you think about that? I don't
really participate in any leagues that have like a true bracket.
We have a little bit of that in our work
dynasty league, where it's like kind of depends on It's
not like your league, you know, your season long standings finish.
It's whatever round you get out, like kind of what
that head to head look like. But that's like not
really the same thing here, at least for the guys
who aren't in the playoffs? Do you do constellation bracket
(01:07:30):
stuff for kind of the loser's side for you?
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
I don't in any of my dynasty leagues.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
And this is going to be a pretty plain answer, Charlie,
and maybe not a satisfying one. I don't know if
you can tank proof any league, and you just kind
of show that even though your league has made a
serious and earnest effort to try to disincentivize tanking, I
don't know if you can really completely get it out
(01:07:57):
of the game. So I've all my leagues are pretty
much reverse order finish, and you know, like, I think
that's generally okay, and I just maybe I've been lucky
that I haven't been in any leagues where I haven't.
I haven't really seen anyone abuse the system too much.
And no, I mean it is dynasty and the rebuilding
(01:08:20):
teams do tend to run up the white flag and
trade a lot of top guys. And I know it
can be frustrating if you're a contending team and all
of a sudden see this team dealing a bunch of
top talent to other teams you're competing with for a title.
Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
But so taking has always been in a dynasty league
where you're gonna have to live with your decisions for
you know, forever, like this is your roster permanently. I
think there should be like it should be reverse order standings,
and you should be allowed to tank in terms of
trading away whoever you want and making your roster worse.
(01:08:55):
What I think there should be rules against in terms
of tanking are how you set your lineup. Like you
can't just say I want to win ash genty, so
I'm going to start a guy who's on IR or
you know, leave my quarterback spot empty, even though I
have a guy on the you know, on the bench
who could play or start agting a buyweek or whatever.
Like to me, there should be strict rules in place,
(01:09:17):
and I think it should be commissioner's discretion honestly, Like,
like I think you should have commissioner that you trust to,
and a lot of cases it could be really obvious, right,
like if a guy starting Dearnis Johnson over Christian McCaffrey,
it's like, okay, like there is no justifiable explanation for this,
and that to me is tanking. That should be outlawed,
and the commissioner should have the right to change those
rules and even threaten to kick a guy out of
(01:09:38):
the league if he's abusing that. But as far as
actually what he does with the roster itself, personally, I
feel like you're gonna have to live with these decisions.
If you make your roster bad, you're throwing your buy
in money away every year while it's still gonna be bad.
I think it's just an unfortunate byproduct of a dynasty league.
And the stuff that is really unfortunate is when teams
get kind of a free win later in this season
(01:10:00):
because that is when they happen to face that team.
But that also happens in real life NFL too. I
think it's kind of unavoidable. So as long as they
are starting the best roster that their team can have,
then I then I do think, like quote unquote, tanking
is okay, and it should just be reverse order standings.
I think the consolation bracket is kind of a it's
it's a more flukey way to do it, and then
the worst teams aren't getting the best players in the
(01:10:22):
rookie draft, which is really what the draft is for,
is to help the worst teams get better.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
Yep, exactly.
Speaker 4 (01:10:28):
Yeah, it seems like the oh go ahead, sorry, Yeah,
it seems like the team who tanks all year but
has good players on the roster and then starts them
for the consolation uh bracket, that's that's who's getting pashion gent.
So you you purposely tank a couple of years, put
your players on the bench, and I am, it's fishing
me off the way it's set up. So I'm trying
(01:10:49):
to think of how to.
Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
Yeah, I think I think there should never be an
incentive to not start your best roster at any point
you're in the season. I think you can build your
roster how you want, and you can make your roster
intentionally bad if you want to lose. But A I
think you should just get the if you go winless,
you should get the first pick the next year. And
B when you are actually setting the roster like you
(01:11:12):
can't be you can't be doing obvious like this is
this player is clearly worse or injured or whatever.
Speaker 6 (01:11:19):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
And some good suggestions in the chat by the way
from b Devs who suggests, you know, add to the
weekly or add to the buy in and give out
weekly payouts to the highest scoring team of the week.
And Big Ray said that one of his leagues as
the consolation bracket as winning an extra first round pick
for the winner, So a bonus one thirteen pick.
Speaker 1 (01:11:42):
That's an interesting run I haven't done. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Bunting mentions like total points including bench prevents tanking, but
is more work for the cash. Yeah interesting, Yeah, those
are some All of my leagues are just strict reverse
order of standings, same don't make the playoffs. But I
tend to try to play in leagues where there's kind
of an honor and people aren't going to egregiously tank. Again,
(01:12:05):
you can, you can make your roster bad on purpose.
I got no problem with that, but it's it's actually
how you set your lineup is is to me the problem.
There another comment here using max points for rookie draft
order playoff team with the lowest max points for gets,
the gets the one on one. So there's some options
in there for you, Charly cool.
Speaker 4 (01:12:26):
Great, thanks a lot, appreciate it, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:12:27):
Thanks man for bet all right, if it's do you
have any time we have way along? Can we can
we rapid fire any of these chat questions or do
we have to save them for the future.
Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
I think we should probably save them for the future.
I think we got most of them, to be honest,
and if anyone wants to that can hit me up
in my discord Ama channel. I'll be happy to answer
any of the spillover that we were not able to
cover here.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
Yeah, the main one that we didn't get to is
a longer question from Darth nug about a weird idea
for a Dynasty League, So maybe we can talk about that.
Speaker 3 (01:13:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
He just said, basically, give everyone a franchise and you
have the dynasty and once you get the franchise, like
you start with the players from that team and then
you can kind of trade from there. So it is
interesting for sure if you could get you know, round
up thirty two people and have people willing to take
the lesser teams.
Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
You know, something I was gonna say if the Ravens
are available and sign me up.
Speaker 3 (01:13:24):
But I don't exactly exactly. No, it's a really interesting
idea though, for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
That's cool one, well awesome. Well, if we have any
questions that we didn't get to because we went long, apologies,
and fits is in the AMA channels all the time
on discord, so please go in there, ask him questions,
ask Bogman questions, Ask Ericson and Deebro too, even they're
not on the Dynasty show. They'll happily chat with you
as well. And ask me if I'm not really in
the discord that often, but on Twitter or something too like.
We're all always available and happy to answer questions. So
(01:13:51):
sorry for what we didn't get to on the show.
We did go along for everybody. We will be back.
Fits is back all all month, along with Bogman. I'll
be back at the first Tuesday of the month and
uh yeah, we'll chat more more later, Fitz.
Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
Good talking to you, buddy, all right, good talking you Worman.
Thanks everyone, We'll see you soon, all.
Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
