get at it and let's talk about last night shall
(01:04):
we and what went down with all of the action
from Round one of the NFL Draft. All right, let's
talk about cam Ward, the inevitable first pick of the draft.
It's not official yet, the pick is in, but we
all know what it is, barring some sort of insanity.
He led the FCS with twenty four passing touchdowns just
four picks. He ranked fourth with twenty two hundred and
(01:24):
sixty passing yards, third with one hundred and eighty three
completions on three hundred and three attempts. And that was
in twenty and twenty one. As the continue to move
on here, he went to Washington State in twenty two
and twenty three, and then found himself in twenty twenty
four where he was the ACC Player of the Year
(01:45):
for the Miami Hurricanes. So Davey Bryant Award winner as
the nation's top QB. All of those pieces are here.
Pat that you look at cam Ward now still people
will say, well, he stacks up a little differently when
we're looking at cam Ward against some of the other
quarterback prospects we've been used to the last few years.
That being said, he's going to go number one overall.
(02:06):
We have Roger Goodell here on the podium on the
dagas and cam Ward is officially that first pick. So
let's talk about him because it was an incredible season,
he said, NCAA record with one hundred and fifty passing
touchdowns in his career. Cam Ward, what is the future
for him with Tennessee, an organization that you don't always
think about when you're looking for great quarterbacks, at least
(02:28):
not in the last few years.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Well, I think they are hoping he can be their
new Steve McNair and sort of carry the torch for
the franchise. And like his tools, Joe, he has all
the tools to be in above average NFL starter, But
I do have concerns sometimes about the decision making. And
you know, he wants to play hero ball a lot
(02:51):
of the times and make the big play, and he's
gonna have to learn to tamp down some of his
worst instincts otherwise he is going to one day be
the answer to a trivia question about who was chosen
number one in the Travis Hunter Abdul Carter draft.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
That's a good point there, Debro. Let's get your thoughts
on cam Ward, a guy you know, look at the
Elie numbers are forty three touchdowns, seven picks, and last
year in twenty twenty four, a guy that you know,
I think people look at and they say, you know,
maybe there's some growth left when it comes to cam Ward.
Maybe some things he can certainly continue to work on.
(03:30):
But it seemed like the consensus was pretty clear among
scouts that he was the best of this quarterback class.
That being said, is he the best fit to turn
around the Tennessee Titans.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
We could split that up. I mean, like, for me,
he wasn't my quarterback one of the class. I understand.
I think if you're taking this shot on absolute upside
and what cam Word could become and trying to get
into that upper echelon of elite quarterbacks and if he
hits his true ceiling, I understand it. Personally for this team,
I think shdra Sanders and Jackson Dard are better fits
(04:05):
for the type of offense that Brian Callahan runs. But
you know, they're taking a shot on upside, and I
understand it. Man, Like I've got my questions and worries
about cam Ward. The high end moments are extremely good,
but there's a lot of variability in between it's a
lot of He's very very similar in why my trepidation
about Kayleb Williams last year, Debro.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
You look at the team needs. I assume we're either
moving up for Carter or moving up for Hunter. I
think those are the only two things that make sense here.
We got a new head coach. It's an offensive minded
head coach too, write Douval himself. But it would seem
like the best talent on the boards of the defensive
side of the football. So where do you think we
might be going with this pick with three minutes left
(04:47):
on the clock.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
I think this is one hundred and fifty percent Travis Hunter.
I don't think they move it, and that they make
this move if it's not for a wide receiver or cornerback.
And I think with this move, I mean correct me
if I'm wrong, boys, I think this means Travis Hunter
will be a full time wide receiver, Like, are you
making this move up for a cornerback if you're gonna
play a full time cornerback if they.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Need corner pat I think he becomes this. I think
he gets his wish. I think he gets his slash
wish here where he gets those packages A wide receiver
and you know you're gonna sell a ton of jerseys.
He's gonna be the pick is in that I think
he gets to do both. And I think this might
be what that deal was like. Maybe Jacksonville was the
team that would allow him to live out that dream,
(05:29):
the best of any team, and that seemed like the
best fit. Could that be Pat?
Speaker 2 (05:32):
It could be Joe, But I think Dynasty enthusiasts are
probably less than thrilled about this because it seemed like
he was gonna be a wide receiver first in Cleveland
and that might not be the case with Jacksonville.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
There you go, Travis Hunter officially now a member of
the Jacksonville Jaguar. So Pat, here we go. Every single
mock we've done out the window already, and we're only
going to pick two. How's that feel? It does?
Speaker 2 (05:59):
It does feel a little rough. We did not get
the player team match there, Joe. I mean technically we
had Travis Hunter correctly penciled in for number two. We
just we didn't get the team fit right.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
But however, speaking of fits, the pink tuxedo jacket looks
pretty gorgeous. Gorgeous, bro I gotta say it's only two
people can pull off pink like that. One of them
is Travis Hunter. The other is Derek Brown. Debro No, no, no,
I think you could pull it off. You know you're
you're good with the loud colors. I think you're very
good with that. He's the only player in FBS with
(06:32):
ten plus receiving touchdowns there and some of the things
he does unbelievable. He averaged one hundred and eleven s
naps per game in twenty three to twenty four. I
mean it's absurd. I mean, you're getting a freakish athlete,
a unicorn in terms of their ability. So what does
Travis Hunner mean as he's dancing his way onto the
main stage. A beautiful moment for him, A very special
talent and a unique talent. So what does he bring
(06:53):
now from a fantasy perspective to the Jacks?
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Oh man? I mean the skill said is just it's unique, dude.
And I think considering what we're going to see out
of him, it's still a black box, like are they
going to play in full time both sides? I don't know,
but I think he is a game changing talent. I
think fitting him with BTJ is fantastic.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, certainly, certainly intriguing here. Now we're going to move
to the third pick here in the draft, Travis hun
Ra obviously now a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. We
know how special he is, we know what he's capable of,
and hopefully this works out here. Interesting just from the
sense too, that you're getting a player who you know,
(07:38):
when you hire an offensive mind a head coach, typically
you see, you know, maybe they kind of lean towards
the offensive side. That was not the case, but certainly
a special year for him as well. He'll add twenty
three catches, one touchdown as a corner on forty one targets.
He's a lockdown corner, pat, Could you give us a
sense to where he is if people try to understand
(07:59):
his corner skill for those people who might not, you know,
watch a lot of college football. Is he a true
lockdown corner in your mind? Or just an incredibly skilled athlete.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
I think he's going to be a lockdown corner pretty
quickly in his career. Like he just he's such a
phenomenal athlete and he has great ball skills. It's not
totally about just pure athleticism. I mean you will see
him occasionally play zone and sort of like bait the
quarterback into making a throw that he can break on
(08:30):
an intercept. Like he has some football smarts too, Joe,
So yeah, I mean that's the thing. Is he so
good at cornerback that his new employer is going to
be compelled to play him there a lot? Because we've
talked about this. If I think it's easier to play
him at cornerback full time and then have some offensive
(08:53):
packages for him, because it's going to be really hard
to play him at receiver full time and quarnerback part time.
If some receiver is destroying your defense and you think
he is your best cover man, are you really going
to want to limit his snaphare when some Justin Jefferson
or Jamar Chase like receiver is laying to waste your defense.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Genty is indeed the pick here now for the Las
Vegas Raiders, so the Jets don't get that multi backfield
after all. Ashton Genty Lil Mar Shaan goes to the Raiders.
I like this from fantasy perspective. De bro, I think
this is great. I think that gives them identity. I
think it gives them toughness. I think Pete Carroll's the
(09:38):
right guy there. I know he is one hundred and
twelve years old, but he's got the vigor of a
young Andrew Ericsson. And I think this is a great
situation here. We're talking about a guy who led the
NCAA with twenty six hundred rushing yards, second most in
FBS history, one hundred and eighty five and a half
rushing yards per game. That's the most since Ladanian Tomlinson
in two thousand. Incredible status. So let's talk about Ashton
(10:01):
Genty to the Raiders Debro.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Can we say that he should be in conversation to
be a first round pick and fantasy fantasy drafts this year?
Ashton Genty should absolutely be a first round pick in
fantasy drafts and ranked as a top five running back.
And I don't think either one of those things are crazy,
but people are probably going to say that they're crazy.
He's going to get all the volume he can handle.
And I think the thing that's gone under discussed the
(10:27):
entire time about Ashton Gentz is his past game upside.
This dude has CMC level upside as far as is
a pass catcher. So in this all or back.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Yeah, man, he's smaller back but still I mean he's small,
but he is built to be small, but he strong. Yes, Pat,
let's talk about him fantasy value. We know what it
is in dynasty. We understand the value of him. What
is in redraft? Though, as we start to look ahead
to twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Bad Now that we got the fit with the Raiders, Joe,
I think it's late first round. Think it's around one
ten are Chip Kelly operates his offenses at a breakneck pace.
They are going to be probably top five in the
league in offensive pace, which means more plays, more opportunities
(11:16):
for touches. I mean, this is just yeah, it's it's
wheels up for Ashton Genty as a rookie. And I
would not be shocked if Ted McMillan was the pick here.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Joe, Oh, you know I would have a problem with
that if I was a Carolina Panther fan. That defense
needs so much.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
For tech, well, I don't care, no over, you'd have
a problem with Ted.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Joe's woyam not addressing the defense first and foremost.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
That was the That's my problem. They gave up thirty
one points a game last year. And the next closest
team game up like twenty seven point eight.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah, if you're gonna, I mean, you better score thirty
eight points a game like. I mean that we're gonna
have to do here if you're gonna try to win
games in Carolina. It's not that I don't like Ted McMillan,
I do, but I just don't think you can continue
to go this route. On the defensive side. You've gotta
do something against the run here. Look at these needs
edge defensive tackle. I know any wide receiver, but they
(12:11):
also need corner in safety. Two. Dee Bro, I know
you're a fantasy guy, but from a football standpoint, you
really think they could take a wide receiver here and
not go defense first? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:21):
I do, because if you're not, how are you gonna
give Bryce Young a true chance to prove if he
is the franchise quarterback or he's not the franchise quarterback
with the skilled players as he had that he has
around him right now. I mean as starting wide receiver
mashup of Adam Feelen, Xavier ly Get and Jalen Coker. Look,
I love Coker as much as anybody else, but like
(12:43):
Leaguett was getting out targeted by a Feeling and Coker
last year. How do you answer the question of is
he your franchise quarterback or not?
Speaker 1 (12:53):
And yeah, the.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Other side of this is those five needs that we
have listed on the screen right now, three of them
being on the defensive side. Drafting one defense guy is
not going to save that defense.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
They're still going to be You're right, one guy isn't.
But I'm also talking about the guys who you know.
I'm talking about the team of the Carolina Panthers last
year that covered a lot of games. At the end
of last year, Patt, you remember this and I do too,
that they were competitive. They couldn't stop anybody. They were
already in games, and they stuck in games, and they
(13:26):
hung around in games and even you know, threw some
shade at some other teams, right took some teams to overtime.
The Carolina Panthers could not stop anybody. So to Deebro's point,
I get it, you want to give the young quarterback
an elite weapon, but you still got more picks to go.
I think it gotta do something on the defensive side first.
So it looks like Pat and I are wrong. So
the old farts are not going to get it here.
(13:49):
It looks like it's gonna be Teed McMillan here, which
it's not official yet, but so far our sources time.
So let's talk about it though, because from a fantasy perspective,
Dee Bro, this is not my favorite landing spot for
Tet McMillan. I'm sorry, it's just not really well because
I'm not a big Bryce Young guy. I think he
(14:10):
played better, but I like volume, right, Joey Well, okay,
so sell me on Tet McMillan. Eighty four receptions last year,
eight touchdowns. Let's talk about Tep McMillan. Why do you
like him in this landing spot? And then we'll get
Fitz's take.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
I mean, dude, he's gonna play inside outside, He's going
to be their unquestioned alpha wide receiver if we believe
at all that Dave Knelis can coordinate an offense, which
I mean we just talked about they were competitive last
year with everything they had and didn't have, and now
we're giving Bryce Young a true wide receiver one and
I'm sorry, I'm gonna throw some shade here, boys too.
(14:45):
I was told Ted Rohan McMillan was too slow to
be a top ten pick, and that history was on
the side of him not being a top ten pick. Well,
it didn't happen. Hopefully it didn't happen. But I mean,
come on, guys, Like, what's the floor of targets for
him in Carolina this year? One hundred and thirty right
with a ceiling for a crap ton more and one hundred.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
And thirty targets? How many catchuple balls in there? Pat,
what do you.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Think are we just saying Bryce Young played better down
the stretch or we just we're not We're not talking
about that now.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
I think the run game helped quite a bit. Tuba
was very solid down the stretch there for.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Them, and he's still there. Off, it's the line still there.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
But Pat, let's get your take here. It's not that
I understand the volume can be there. I get it.
I still have a lot of questions about Bryce Young
at this level. I think it's he played better, but
he is he is not at that. He's not on
that level yet where I feel like I'm excited for
his weapons. I think that's the point that I'm making, Pat,
(15:44):
But what's your point.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
I do understand the urge to try to maximize Bryce
Young's chances of success by improving his weaponry. Because I
think this is and I can sort of answer Carson
Hill's question in the chat with this when he said,
which is the wide receive? Who's on the out? Xavier
Legett or Jalen Cocher. I think it's Legette. I think
this is just a capitulation that uh an acknowledgment that
(16:08):
the Lagette pick was a failure, and you know they
need a new outside receiver, and uh, you know, I
don't think Tat's going to fail. But yeah, I just
I think they should have gone defense. But I do
like Tet, and I like Tet.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
I you know, projection in my head right now, I'll
say nine hundred and eight yards and four touchdowns. That's
what he gives you.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Wow, that's some hater, Ay, Joey, I'm not being.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
A hater a I'm being I'm trying to be.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
What we're the numbers right now? What were those numbers?
Speaker 4 (16:47):
One?
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Let's I said nine to eight, four touchdowns, that's what
I gave you.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
I mean, come on, chat, y'all. Yeah, is Joey on
point here?
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Well, Alexander's that interesting thing here will Well, I'll continue
drafting and playing players against the Carolina Panthers because that's
how bad teams they pay. Yeah, because the Carolina, Like
I want who's playing the Carolina Panthers every week? Because
they've missed out on a first round defensive talent, which
means now they've got to hit defense often. And I'm
(17:14):
not gonna crush them yet. I'm gonna watch and see
what they do day two with the other picks they have.
They've got a lot of picks coming up. Still. Maybe
they find some gems, maybe they work it out, maybe
they do it with volume. Okay, I'll accept that, in
which case that I like this TET pick a little
bit more. Thumbs up thumbs down Debro thumbs up on
Teed McMillan all the time.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
I'm want to dress so much Tet McMillan this year
and fantasy I already know it, dude.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
So thumbs up from Debro, Pat fitz Morris thumbs up
or thumbs down for TET McMillan.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Thumbs down.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
That means I'm the tiebreaker. I'm going thumbs down to all.
Look at it.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Wow, I'm out the number. I'm out number.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Joaquin Phoenix. That's where it went to everybody.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
There's nothing young about all these takes.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
The birdie tell me it's Colston Loveland at ten. So wow,
one ow, so pat if this is indeed true? And
so far we are nine for nine on this. Do
you think Colston Loveland is well the prince that was
promised for this offense? Here?
Speaker 2 (18:19):
I said, asked the question earlier, Joe, are we so
sure that Tyler Warren it's the best tight end in
this draft? Colston Loveland is two years younger, has longer arms,
and like his stats don't pop out at you the
way Tyler Warren's stats from twenty twenty four to do.
But there were some mitigating circumstances. One, Michigan was extremely
(18:41):
run heavy in their national championship season. Two their quarterbacking
was a complete dumpster fire last year. But like, Loveland
has a lot of potential as a pass catching tight
end and maybe some blocking upside too. So it's interesting.
I mean, we're going to see a lot of twelve personnel,
(19:01):
I guess because they just resigned Cole Cometts to a
multi year deal, and so you've got Loveland, Cole Kamett,
DJ Moore and.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
You don't see Cole Comet. Maybe maybe they Comet go
somewhere else in the next two days. I could see
that traded. I think there would be teams lining up
for Cole Comett. To be honest with you, I think
there's a lot of teams that would make sense.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
But Joe I do like to.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Be reunited with his best friend justin fields. That wouldn't
be so bad. You know, those two had a pretty
good recorre fair. So let's talk about Coleston Loveland from
a fantasy perspective here, debro, we have seen the ceiling
of glass shatter for rookie tight ends in the last
couple of years, right, Pitt's had a huge rookie season
in terms of yardage. We've seen Sam Laporta, We've seen
(19:45):
Trey McBride, all these incredible young tight ends come in
and hit the ground running. Can Loveland be that guy
for the Chicago Bears in this system with this quarterback
and this new head coach who, by the way, uh
did a pretty good job with Sam Laporta.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
My hope is yes. My worry is if Cole Kmet
stays there, are they gonna play level in like a
sixty seventy percent snapshare like route share, I'm hoping that
that that the Bears are smart enough to do this,
and that that he plays well and then he gets
the full time role. I My question also, and I guess,
(20:21):
like I'm not trying to throw cold water on this,
is we still haven't seen Caleb Williams support any weapons,
much less multiple weapons.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Well, I guess you could Sean Allen for some of
the year.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Yeah, but I mean, like in none of those wide
receivers had good year statistically, none of.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
Them, not even But okay, so counterpoint to that, could
he have possibly gone into a worse coaching staff with
a worse offensive coordinator and a worse head coach. So
I I think Ben Jonson's a great offensive mind. I
think he was gonna take if you give any terrible
offensive line to work with, too. Pat My counter argument is,
I think the landscape is much better year over year
(20:57):
theoretically in Chicago to possibly support Loveland as being a
tight end one. Maybe somebody ranked as what ten eleven
twelve in redraft. I could see that, Yeah, Joe.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
And by the way, you talked about the recent success
of rookie tight ends and one of those was Sam
Laporta who had that success with his play caller being
Ben Johnson, who's now going to be the play caller
for Colston Loveland. So I think there is a path
for Loveland to be impactful if indeed we see Caleb
take the next step and the Bears have improved the
offensive line and they've gotten him a better offensive choreographer
(21:32):
and Ben Johnson, so we are positioned for Caleb to
take a step up if he's capable of it. Now
they are doing everything they can to make things easier
for Caleb.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
And now Warren would fall right in the lap of Indianapolis.
So that's a good one here from Jazz Meat in
the chat too. If Warren's the guy they want, this
was just right in their lap too. So a top
ten pick on a tight end too. You don't see
that very often, young men. Russell Brown is here one
of the best minds in all of the college football space. Russell,
I want to talk to you about what's gone on
(22:07):
so far, because I'm sure there's a lot for you
to digest. A lot of things. Boys State running back
ash and gen Dy goes to the Raiders, Pete Carroll
and running backs this is a good fit for fantasy.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
It is one hundred percent. I mean, this is one
that I think protects Geno Smith in a sense, but
it also gives the Raiders an identity they need to
go in and build something on their offense. And they
were the worst rushing offense in the NFL last year,
So it makes so much sense to draft him, build
around him. And I don't want to say run him
into the ground, but use him twenty twenty five times
(22:41):
a game and use him all over the field because
he's a home run threat anywhere on the field.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Let's go to Ted McMillan, Arizona wide receiver goes to
the Panthers. We were kind of split about this. Deepbro
loves Ted McMillan, I love Teed McMillan, and Patles technically,
we all love him. I all love the landing spot.
So what side do you fall on here? Russell?
Speaker 5 (23:02):
Well, I mean reading the tea leaves. Early through the
draft process, the Carolina Panthers head coach said, we want
to put weapons around Bryce Young, and they stuck true
to that through this process and they go and get
their guy, a true number one receiver just from his
size and his abilit He's a prototypical X, and they
can move him around because he's so versatile and athletics.
(23:24):
So if they want to make Xavier loget the prototypical X,
go ahead. But you have two big body targets on
the perimeter now, which is important for Bryce Young. As
we've seen, he doesn't always throw the greatest pass in
the world. He's gonna run around and just throw one
up and throw a prayer and that's gonna be perfectly
fine because Tech McMillan can come down with it. He
plays with great body control, he high points the football.
(23:44):
He does have shorter arms, so sometimes those physical press
man corners are going to make some plays of the
catch point, which is different for guys like Drake London
and Michael Pittman. They're a little bit longer there. But
at the end of the day, Tech McMillan makes a
lot of sense at eight. He can run like the
wind blows. We've seen it. The run after catch you
ability is electric. So I think it's a great pick
at eight. A little rich, but I think it's a
(24:05):
good pick, I really do. I think it's one of
those that you're building around the quarterback and you just
you have to because you've got to go all in
on Bryce s Young. If not, they're back to square one,
you can go.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
It's just fantastic analysis, just wonderful. I don't think you're
gonna out. I don't think the Carols.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
I love that analysis, Russ and you're gonna beautiful teams.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
All right. Uh, I'm glad. I'm glad you have a friend.
Maybe you are related, maybe you actually are both Browns
after him.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
He's got good takes.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Man.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Do you think we got our second tight end here?
De bro? You think that's where we're going.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
I'm just going chalk, dude, I'm gonna say it's gonna
be Tyler Warren because he's still on the board. We've
all talked about. It is the thing that I could
have that what's that, buddy?
Speaker 1 (24:44):
It is Tyler Warren.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
Is the only thing I thought that would have kaibash
Tyler Warren going to Indy was Dallas Godter being on
the trade block and that familiarity with Shane Ssyke and
and then them going another direction because tight end was filled.
But Tyler Warren, I mean the chalk of the chalk,
I mean a little bit of sanity. All these other
picks were like mocking for weeks and months, and we're like, Oh,
(25:07):
it's gonna be this, and then the NFL is like, ah.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Now, Tyler Warren twenty twenty four, John Mackey Award winner,
school record one hundred and four receptions in twenty twenty four.
This is a dude. This is a guy who brings
some edge to him too, something I think the Colts
lacked a little bit at times last year. So Russell
not the first tight end selected, but we did get
two in the first round, which is historic for sure.
(25:34):
So Tyler Warren. The question now is what's the quarterback
play going to be and how impactful is he going
to be in a fantasy Russell.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
Yeah, I think he's gonna be very impactful, just simply
because of the way you can utilize him in the offense.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Right.
Speaker 5 (25:47):
You can play him as a wildcat at times. And
I'm not saying he's Taysom Hill, because he's certainly not
as fast as Taysom Hill. But he can play inline,
he can align in that wildcat, he can play in
the slide, he can play out wide. He's going to
obviously have a role in the run game. But you're
looking at him to catch passes, and he can do that,
I think in the short and intermediate areas of the field.
(26:07):
But he's also got some pretty good run after the
catch ability and just because of how athletic he is.
Like I think back to that Maryland game, Drew Aller
had a broken play, kind of shuffle past it to
him to the sideline, and he hurtled like one defender,
almost two defenders just without even moving.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
So I love the movement there.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
And he's going to be that safety valve that they
really didn't have. I know that's the common term for
tight ends. You want that safe guy in the middle
of the field. Well, Tyler Warren's gonna do that. He's
not gonna be able to wear number forty four. Dallas
Clark was forty four. I believe that number is retired
in Indianapolis, so it'll be interesting what he wears moving forward.
But this is such a Colts pick and I love
it for them, and it's a building block for the
(26:44):
offense that can certainly use another pass catcher.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Deebro this is a great question from Clinton the chat. Again,
drop your questions in the chat. We love the conversations
wonder if Warren will fall farther than he should in
some rookie drafts. Now, I think Clint's onto something here, deebro.
I think you could see this happening where people are
very skeptical of the quarterback situation there if Richardson makes
enough progress, Daniel Jones, whatever's left there, and regardless if
(27:11):
it's neither of those guys in dynasty leagues, he becomes
a huge value because if you get him cheap and
all of a sudden, that quarterback situation turns into something
new in the next two to three years. You have
yourself quite a talent at the tight end position, but
it might be rough in your one.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
I appreach it year every year over year over year,
if I can even talk right now. This all comes
down to talent. Man, You make bets on talent, situation,
head coaches, quarterbacks, all these things change and they change
rapidly in the NFL. So you bet on the talent
with Tyler Warren. Man, Yes, if he falls too far,
and he probably will in a lot of drafts because
(27:47):
people are gonna say the quarterback situation, I'm just I'm
not playing that game. And to add on, I think
this is a fantastic pick by the Colts too, because
you just look at their pass catchers. You have all
these routes, winners and guys that PlayStation to station. How
many guys in that offense right now are an easy
button for the quarterback that can offer yak ability, Like
(28:09):
you give them something underneath and they're breaking two in
three tackles and giving your your offense easy button yards.
They don't have that guy, but now they do. It's
Tala Warren Boggs.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
I want to get your take on the earlier selection
of Ted McMillan to the Carolina Panthers, because that's what
I've been grilling. Everybody on Deebro is very excited about it.
Fitzie and I were a little bit more luke warm.
Russell Brown was more on the Derek Brown side of things,
So I'm curious. It's again it's I like the player.
My concern is, is Bryce Youngbelely quarterback I want with
(28:43):
Ted McMillan, And I just don't know if that answer
is yes for me from a fantasy perspective. That's my take.
I think it's okay. It's not what I was hoping
for for Ted McMillan, But, Bogs, what's your take.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
I love it for Ted, and the reason I love
it for Teed is because this team has no defense
at all. How could this not be a defensive pick? True?
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Is my thing.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
They gave up the most rushing yards in a single
season in NFL history last year. The you know, j C.
Horn is like their only good defensive player that's not
Derek Brown, and Derek Brown towards ACL late. So I
knew Debro was gonna be all over this. It's the
first thing I said when they picked him. I'm like,
we are never gonna hear the end of it from Debro.
He put ted to Carolina in so many mocks and
(29:27):
it actually happened. And I think it's great because they
have to play point for point with everybody now like
that this is what you have to do. They saw
Ted as the BPA a lot of Mike Evans comps.
You know, a big, tall, rangy guy with a big
catch radius, And I think that's pretty good for Bryce.
Young doesn't have the arm to get it down the
field to him all the time, but he doesn't need
(29:49):
to go, you know, pick up the first down and
keep moving and keep that crappy defense on the sideline.
I like, you know, get first downs and drain the
clock should be the name of the game for the
Panthers with no defense. Now the wide receiver looks like
Egbuka is actually going to be the guy. I think
Egbuka eighty one receptions last year with Ohio State, over
(30:10):
a thousand yards, ten touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
Bogs has a bit of a shocker for you.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
It is surprising because I just don't think that they
need another white at I'm with fits in that regard.
McMillan was pretty good. You resigned Chris Godwin. Mike Evans
is old, but he's still a stud. So a little
surprised by this, but heg Buka is a good pick,
professional route runner, tight crisp speed is not far behind
(30:35):
the route running. He gets to a spot in a blur,
He makes fluid first steps. He will do work in traffic,
and he gives his team a cushion. He was pushed
more to the slot and they have two slot guys.
Last year, played eighty one percent of his snaps there.
He's had some ankle issues. His A dot was a
(30:56):
career low last year, and he's not breaking too many tackles,
so he's a very good player, a good wide receiver.
Don't love this for fantasy and at least not for
his rookie season.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
That that's interesting take too, But I think long term fitsie.
You know, Mike Evans is not a young man, He's
been in the league a very long time. Chris Godwin's
had multiple big injuries and coming off another one. This
is probably a very smart long term selection where if Evans,
you know, does hit a wall with age this year
and Godwin struggles to get back on the field healthy,
(31:32):
you really don't have as many wide receivers as you think,
and now you have ag Buka and Jalen McMillan. I
think this is kind of a savvy future pick here
where the Bucks are a pretty good team, you know,
they have holes like every NFL team, But at the
same time, taking Agbuka here is a very good look
to the future for Baker Mayfield and for his fantasy value.
Maybe not the best fantasy value out of the gate
(31:54):
in year one, but projectability in dynasty leagues I think
might actually be you know, kind of appealing morepealing.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
People might realize, yeah, maybe in dynasty it's not going
to crush his perceived value. But boy, this is messy
for redraft leagues and to some extent, dynasty too. And
now what I don't understand is three of your top
four receivers do their best work in the slot. I
(32:20):
think Jalen McMillan is best in the slot, Godwin obviously,
and egg Buka is a slot receiver. So it's a
kind of a curious fit here. I know, like, I
like Egbuca, and I think it's to his credit that
he has always been able to produce significantly despite not
being like the best wide receiver on his own team
(32:40):
at Ohio State. I mean, last year was freshman Fenom
Jeremiah Smith. Before that it was Marvin Harrison junior, and
by all accounts, egg Buka is a great kid. But
I man, it is just a weird fit for the Buccaneers.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
All right, very weird fit for the Buccaneers potentially. But again,
I'm looking long term. I think this is kind of
savvy here. Mike Evans can't play forever, and Chris Godwin, look,
you know, we're kind of in this territory where he's
taking a lot of physical beatings over the years. Now,
wide receiver there's a bunch of them still left. Egbuka
(33:14):
is gone, Debro. I know you have some feelings about that.
Why don't you share your egg Buka feelings about that selection?
I think I think they're just looking long term, and
I think it's smart. I honestly do. I think they're
playing chess instead of checkers with that pick. I really do.
But give us your thoughts on that pick and then
tell me what do you think the Chargers go with
this next one.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
I think the Bucks pick was a horrible pick. Like I,
you're trying to win the division right now, Why in
the heck did you resign Chris Godwin? I understand Mike
Evans is a free agent after this year, but why
did you resign Chris god Why the hell did you
pick Jim and McMillan last year? You didn't need more
reinforcements like you could have addressed wide receiver. Next year,
(33:55):
you need defensive help like corner, edge, linebacker, all of
these things you didn't have. You don't have the roster
for a luxury pick this year and looking into next year.
This is a terrible pick by the bucket. Did they glorable?
Speaker 1 (34:10):
Could they potentially trade McMillan tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
I don't think what are you gonna get for him?
Like he only flashed like the last few games of
the season whenever it was hurt.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
But flashes there fits. I thought I was high on
McMillan going into the year. He got it right when
he got his opportunity on him when he got healthy.
He came back at the end of the season and
looked pretty sharp. Had a run of touchdowns too, which
was very encouraging. Uh, do you think that this is
the I don't know. I mean a situation where maybe
(34:40):
they're not going to go in with all four of
these guys into twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
You would think. But it's funny. I mean, it's hard
to make a deal like that and get full return
on it. Joe, you know, if they give mc millan away,
no one's gonna give you a lot. You're gonna get
pennies on the dollar for him.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
You wouldn't even get what you paid for to draft it, right,
They wouldn't even get that back. Like my other thing
is who the heck is playing the slot? You got
like two or three different Slavery wide receivers here, Like, yeah,
we are you going four wide and we got double
slots here, like it makes no sense?
Speaker 1 (35:15):
Well, that would they feel very happy? I was gonna say, big,
if anybody wants to run that offense, it's Baker Mayfield
right now. That's the perfect guy for that. It seems
like a Chargers selection is up next right now, and
it's Omarion Hampton is the selection here. So Joey leike,
this is what I've been waiting for. Naji Harris step
(35:38):
aside because Omarion Hampton is here.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Now.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
If you have Nause shares in Dynasty, sorry, kids, it's
time to look elsewhere. Sure, Nause will get some work,
But Omarion Hampton, I think, is the guy that I
want long term in this one fits he Let's talk
about the redraft value. Let's talk about the Dynasty value.
Two hundred and eighty one attempts last year, sixteen hundred yards,
three hundred and seventy three receiving yards, its seventeen touchdowns
(36:03):
for Hampton.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
Yeah, and Mike Marriage just posted in the that was
the same thing. That's exactly what I was lacking money.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
But now.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Yeah, so, uh, I don't think I agree with you, Joe.
I don't think Najee Harris is going to be much
of an impediment to a Marion Hampton's value. Off the
top of my head, I don't know what do you
think to you, bro? Like mid to late third round
in Redraft? Oh yeah, how's going on? EPR? Is that
(36:33):
is that too conservative?
Speaker 3 (36:37):
I think Nausey being there will push people just enough
even like it'll make them question the first round capital
to where he's probably gonna stay in round three. I
can't see him getting steamed up to two. But maybe
I'm wrong, Maybe I'm wrong. I mean, I definitely think
like a Marian is.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Getting all the work. All right, well, let's give it
a great show. He thumbs up, thumbs down, an enthusiastic
thumbs up for me. I don't know she's here. It
could be a little messy at the start, but patience.
I think it's reward all the guys say thumbs up
to there we go. It's a giant thumbs up for
Hampton here just back now. Yeah, I think so too, Derek.
(37:15):
I think it was smart to do what they did
because definitely I don't think that Harbaugh and company were
sitting there going you know, Hampton's gonna definitely be there.
I think he fell in their lap, and I think
they decided we're just gonna go with it. And that's
the right call, Fitzy, do you think that's the right
call here, that they just said the heck with it,
let's just go.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Yeah. I mean they want to run the ball. We
know that, all right.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
I think I'm frozen a little bit here. I think
my internet you.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
Frozen with blue steel though, So I mean you irate
it or.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
That's how I roll.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
Here, if you're gonna if you're gonna freeze, you might
as well tell if he was frozen a kid. I'll
give you on our time just in case you weren't
ready for me. This is what happens. We are now
officially what four hours in for me. So this is
what happens. This is why you watch this one. Subscribe
(38:14):
to the channel, boys and girls, that's what you do.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
Here, let's talk about the Dynasty stuff here too. Steve's
got a question. Does the landing spot peak interest over
genty with the Raiders? I say no, but let's let's
talk about this. So in super flex leagues, Pat, what
would be your top four.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
Genty? Still number one with a bullet.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (38:37):
Okay, Yeah, then I'm gonna go. I have to go.
I think quarterback Ward versus Hampton is really close right now.
I think I might have to elevate. Nah, I'm gonna
stick with Hampton. Hampton going to a run CenTra. Hampton
(38:58):
is too. Ward is three, and you know, tentatively tet
at four. Unlass, I like some of the landing spots
for other running backs.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
All right, is that the same for you, Derek Brown?
Speaker 3 (39:14):
I'm pretty much in line with FITZI. I think I
would put Ted at three only because I think you
could split hairs. Like I still think Ted's gonna get
a ton of volume, and it's kind of roster dependent
at that point, like between three and four. So I mean,
I'm buying. If it's super flex, yeah, put put Ward
over over the wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
That's I'm loving the landing spot here for Hampton. I
am definitely this is a win for the Chargers.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
As draft capital. It's landing spot, It's everything. Dude.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Look, you got Nauji Harris, a veteran running back who
solid so of Hampton, you struggles or is an injury,
You're already okay, So you've covered your bases. You have
your cake, You're eating a two, and they're gonna pound
the hell out of the rock. I would like to
see them pick up a wide receiver at some point too,
because they definitely need some help.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
There tons of good ones in round two, A good.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
One still a ton so far, we've Matthew Golden still
on the board, Higgins still on the board, I mean,
Burdens still on the board. Green Bay Packers need cornerback, edge,
wide receiver, d tackle Fitzie. Let's go, let's wish cast.
What do you want the Packers to do here?
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Oh Man, Donovan Azerak? Who Mike Green? And I do
not want Matthew I'd be okay with any of the corners,
preferably Trey Amos over Maxwell Harrison, but I'd be okay either.
I just I do not want Matthew Golden. Uh, it's Golden, Noci.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
I'm sorry that the best wide receiver in the draft.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
I love matthewybody, I I'm I feel your pain on
this one. I'm I am sorry.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
I love Matthew Golden. I think this is great.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
Yeah, but do you think you have no other wide receivers?
Speaker 1 (40:52):
You think you know how many wide receivers you got
right now in Green Bay. Zero that's how many you got.
It's never on the field. Thing's a disaster. That's your
guy right there.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Two years ago. Two years ago, he was the number
three receiver for the University of Houston.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
Yeah, living in the past, Pat, that's in the past.
And what was he doing in the College Championship catch
and touchdowns and looking unbelievable in that game?
Speaker 3 (41:18):
What are you to do the whole beginning of the
season when Isaiah Bahn was healthy.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
I look, man, I'm not going to hang all of
that on Matthew Golden when.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
Yeah, Quinn yours is terrible. So yeah, I don't disagree
with you.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
That don't do that. I mean, Matthew Golden, all right,
let's chat about it. Fifty eight receptions, nine hundred and
eighty seven yards, nine touchdowns last year. Everybody knows Matthew
Golden's my guy. This is my ideal spot. No, because
there are some other guys in this mix, but you
know what, none of those guys you can count on.
Matthew Golden has speed, Matthew Golden has a nose for
the end zone. De bro I'm gonna give this a
(41:55):
thumbs up. What are you going to give it? Swampwampoo? Dude.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
I just this is the Packers saying we like fast players.
I mean that that's all I can say, double counting speed.
I just can't see Matthew Golden being a high volume
wide and a true number one wide receiver. Like to me, like,
give yourself the out and the upside for a guy,
because they still don't have anybody that could beat Man
(42:23):
coverage right now, Like I know, like if this was
I'm I know, I don't like this.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
Pict looked like you like he went to the h
went to the Golden Corral and they were all out
of his favorite side dish or something. He looks miserable
right now. He's he is. He went to the ice
cream parlor and he went there and they were like, Nope,
we don't have that flavor anymore.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Brian Goode comes to is just a mediocre general manager.
It was a bad he.
Speaker 3 (42:51):
Kind of sucks yep.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
Is at the end of Christian Watson, boys, this a
good question.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
I mean, can we say we I don't even know
if we even seen the beginning of Christian Watson because it.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
Was a short story.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
You know, it's just it sucks. I don't think he
plays most of the season, if at all.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
It just it sucks, all right, So, Fitzy, I'm sorry
you didn't get what you wanted here. But in the
immortal words of Mike Jagger, you can't always get what
you want. Sometimes you get what you need.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
Fitzy, we didn't. We didn't get that in the first round.
Speaker 1 (43:20):
Joe, No, no, but don't fret. There's still plenty of
picks to be made. I love how the chat is
emotionally supporting Fits too.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
He needs a hug.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
I wish I could drive up and see Fitzy right now. Yeah,
but that man needs a hug.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
You know what's you know? I also did not think
we'd have upset Fits and happy Bogman. Bogman's happy right now,
and fitz is unhappy. I did not think he would
be here approaching.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
Somebody's team did something smart and the other person's team
did something really stupid.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
So, you know, tough times here, and the worst thing
is now we have to move on to them in
a sort of vikings. So like that, I don't know
what's work like. Fitzi's upset. He doesn't like this pick,
although I will say the fit for Matthew Golden, that's
a good looking jacket right there. That's straight out of Casino,
you know, with with Robert de Niro and those guys.
(44:13):
This is this is a jacket fits. He got the
big giant g and finally somebody with a tie. Now
it's a bow tie, but nonetheless a tie. I respect that.
It's a good look. Here, oh, here we go. The
Giants are on the clock at twenty five. The Giants
in thirty four and ninety nine and a twenty twenty
six third round pick for Jackson Dart. That's what it is, Wow,
(44:35):
d bro Man. The stock has fallen Andrew Erickson so
far still right. So if you know the Cleveland Browns
want to take your door, they can take him, and
they can have him. He'll be there for them tomorrow
because they've got two picks there in the first four.
So Jackson Dart four thousand passing yards, he's got thirty
(44:59):
two touchdowns last year, six picks. Let's give us your
take on Jackson.
Speaker 3 (45:05):
I mean, I mean, I'm I'm in for it, man,
I'm like, look, I know with the Giants getting their
quarterback here, I mean the clock starts now based off
of when do we see darts starting? I mean, we
know what you're gonna get or what you're not gonna
get out of Russ, So probably sometime around mid season.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
And I mean, Joe didn't.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
We kind of then that kind of lay this out
like a bunch of teams the back into the first
round that teams could be trading up for. So that's
one trade. Do we see another one?
Speaker 2 (45:33):
It's possible.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
I don't. I don't think you see it now. I
think Cleveland or the Giants, We're gonna blink. Cleveland had
two picks and Cleveland had the pick in front of
the Giants, so it was the Giants turned to flinch
to make a move.
Speaker 3 (45:47):
SAT found out. Now now they're.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Wilson, Winston, Dart, and DeVito. So I can only assume
Devido's getting cut fitsy.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Right, you would think so.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
But does Winston want to be the third string quarterback?
Like that's probably not what he signed up for, Not
that it matters, but just saying it out.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
Loud, I mean, they mean, I'm sure they gave him
the out like that we might draft a quarterback. I mean,
it's not like everybody's in high demand for Jamis Winston
services these days.
Speaker 2 (46:13):
Yeah, and I mean they might make this a pure
red shirt year for Dark two. I don't think he's
anywhere close to being nflready.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
That's fair before we I know, we disagree on that. Sea.
Let's run through some Jackson Dark first team All SEC,
set school career records with ten thousand, six hundred and
seventeen passing yards, twelve thousand yards of total offense, led
the FBC ten point eight yards per attempt, had forty
seven hundred and seventy four total yards of offense last year,
(46:43):
ranked third in FBS with four thousand, two hundred and
seventy nine passing yards, started all fifteen games and playing
in the Gator Ball. He's the MVP or touchdowns four
hundred and four yards. That was a big game for him.
So look, I like Dark. I think a complete red
shirt year would be great for him. I think that's
exactly what you do. And you had some quarterback capital here,
(47:04):
you cut the veto, you move on. He's not a
you know, not an NFL quarterback. You learn that already.
So I don't hate this. If that's your guy, and
all it costs you a little bit more to move
up to get your guy because you're worried Cleveland likes him.
So be it. Let's talk about winners and losers. Let's
really get into it. I know we kind of touched
on a little bit. I said the Giants were winners,
(47:25):
best player of the draft, and you got a quarterback.
Will Campbell's a winner. Pick Ashon Genti's a winner. Pick
Ted mcgillan's a winter pick. I'm in for that one too, Debro.
Let's talk about some of your big winners right now
and how they stack up from a fantasy's standpoint. Give
us your big winners of Night one of the NFL Draft.
Speaker 3 (47:44):
Like specific players we're going with teams cer.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
Civic players on the landing spot, and also specific teams
as well.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
I would say for everybody in fantasy, I think we're
gonna get Travis Hunter as a full time wide receiver
going to Jacksonville. Maybe I'm wrong with that, but I
think trading up, I don't think you make that aggressive
of a move if you plan to play the kid
full time corner. So I think this is for all
of us, especially maybe some IDP people out there. Big
(48:13):
win for Travis Hunter and I mean, just kind of
looking at the board here. I still really like the
landing spy for Tyler Warren. Like I understand the quarterback stuff,
but Michael Pittman, they can get out of his contract
after this year, Alec Pierce, Josh Doll, like the quarterback
(48:34):
situation gets figured out if they move on from Pittman
after this season, and stuff like. It's not hard to
see that Tyler Warren is still a big winner here.
And I think I'll just take the low hanging fruit
if I'm gonna keep going with this. But Amario on
Hampton going to a team that wants to run the
freaking ball first round Capital Nasey, I'm sorry, but bye bye,
You're you're back.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
Hampton and gend landed, I think almost exactly perfect. We
want them to land. I mean Denver kind of missed out.
They whiffed there a little bit on Hampton. So the
second choice being the Chargers, I think is great. I
also think some winners here too. Look, Drake May and
Jane Daniels got some extra help on the offensive line.
That's a big win for sure. FITZI when you start
(49:17):
to look at the board now that it is going
through here and we up part the last pick. Give
me your winners and losers here, both a fantasy version
for the players, but also some of the teams and
what they came away with a night one.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
Yeah, fantasy winners and losers. Omrion Hampton winner, Nijee Harris
loser clearly like it's just going to a team with
such a smash mouth. Ethos was great for Hampton, big
win for Genty. I love the landing spot and going
with the to you know, Grandpa Pete's gonna run the
(49:50):
ball of course, and Chip Kelly has that fast paced offense.
So like those were only the really the only two
landing spots I loved for any of the fantasy guys tonight.
You know losers. I don't know about these landing spots
for the tight ends Warren and Loveland not not as
more spical.
Speaker 3 (50:08):
About the love one when I'm with you there Fitcy
like I.
Speaker 2 (50:10):
Just yeah, and uh Egbuka not crazy about that landing
spot either. So guys, what do we think about Like
the Jaguars Browns trade, like that was the big deal
of the night.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
I think it's good for the Jaguars. I mean, you
get Travis Hunter is a very special talent, but I
can't judge it yet after night one because I don't
know what Cleveland's gonna do, you know, coming up next,
so if they end up, I did not love what
they did with that first pick. I mean, there was
so much board left. I didn't think that was what
you wanted to do. There was Mason Graham. I think
(50:44):
he's not a good player, but I think you had
different needs you wanted to address. But they've got two
more picks coming up in the beginning a round two,
so let's see what it looks like. But it's not
great to begin with. I also think the Dallas Cowboys
could have traded back if they were just gonna take Booker.
I think they probably could have gotten him somewhere else
and trade it back and gotten some more draft capital.
(51:05):
That that's where it looks for me. Other losers too. Look,
I know you're gonna say your packers too, FITZI like, that's,
you know, probably another one that you're gonna bring up,
because there were other needs that you wanted to see addressed.
And frankly, they just went wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
Yes, and that might not that not that we were
super excited about any of the other Green Bay receivers.
But that just further sort of chops up the pie
from a team that ran at the third heaviest rate
last year. Too so and one more low key winner.
And I kind of said it before, but I'll reiter
rate all the Jets skill position guys, adding Membu to
(51:44):
what now I think is a top five offensive line.
Speaker 1 (51:48):
Yeah, Jets are gonna be interesting this year. I like
Aaron Glenn as a coach. Lots of good things, all right.
So those are our winners and losers right now. Night
one in the NFL Draft twenty twenty five. Finally, biggest
surprise of the knight for you, Derek Brown, who did
not get selected here in round one? Who is it
Shudor again?
Speaker 3 (52:06):
Yeah, it's sure, And I see Ericson in the chat
here Anderson hits again. Yeah he's right, man. I mean,
I mean, dude, but we got what how many quarterbacks
in the first round?
Speaker 1 (52:17):
Three? Am I wrong?
Speaker 3 (52:19):
But that one?
Speaker 1 (52:20):
No? Two? Jack's at dark Oh just too just too Yeah.
So that's why I mean, hit, dude.
Speaker 3 (52:25):
I mean, I'm surried. I'm very surprised Youdor did not
go in round one. I like, I get where all
the smoke has been I'm still really surprised that it
actually happened, FITZI.
Speaker 1 (52:39):
Who's the biggest surprise non draft of Night one for you?
Speaker 3 (52:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (52:45):
Mike Green. I mean he he had seventeen sacks for
Marshall last year and just was incredible at the Senior
ball And you know, just the premium the NFL places
on pass rushers, I mean, like the off field stuff
must be pretty bad for him then to not get
picked in Roun one.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
Well, already's off boards a lot of teams boards just
because the all field's tough.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
