Speaker 1 (00:01):
Week fourteen is upon us, which means there is only
one more week until the Fantasy Football Playoffs. Every edge
matters now more than ever, so today we are going
to help you get an edge on the waiver wire.
My name is Lucas Wentzel, here with Fantasy Pros, bringing
you my top five waiver wire stashes ahead of Week
fourteen and next week's waiver run as well. Before we
(00:22):
dip on into that list to players, though, We've got
a special deal going on for you all right now.

hundred percent free from one month, now available both on
iOS and Android. Starting off our list this week is
San Francisco forty nine ers running back Brian Robinson, who
is rostered in thirty one percent of leagues. I know
this breaks my thirty percent threshold by one percent, but
Brian Robinson is as premium of a handcuff stash as
they come. I won't waste my time or my breath
(01:06):
for that matter, telling you how insanely good Christian McCaffrey is,
because it's obvious he dominates this backfield. He only has
one game with a snapshare less than seventy five percent
this year, But Brian Robinson has been getting filtered in
a little bit more. As of late, he has seven
plus carries in five of his last seven games, and
it's currently writing a four game streak of seven plus carries.
(01:29):
B rob is also averaging four point nine yards per
carry compared to Christian McCaffrey's four yards per carry during
that span. Now, I don't want to put a ton
of weight into that, but my point here is that
Brian Robinson is clearly next man up if anything were
to happen to Christian McCaffrey down stretch. The forty nine
ers may not have traded much to acquire b rob right,
they only gave up a sixth round pick in the
(01:50):
NFL Draft this year, but they did so with the
exact intention that we're using to stash Brian Robinson, for
let's have someone competent to roll out if anything happens
to our superstar running back. This obviously won't be a
one for one replacement on the field or in your
fantasy football lineups for that matter. But if McCaffrey misses
time in the Fantasy football playoffs, Brian Robinson immediately enters
(02:12):
the high end running back two conversation. So even if
you're not a Christian McCaffrey manager, I like making sure
Brian Robinson is on at least fifty percent of rosters,
and honestly, it really should be more. The second player
on our list this week is Chicago Bears wide receiver
Luther Burden, who is rostered in nineteen percent of leagues.
When you roll back these stash videos and audios at
(02:33):
the end of the season, Luther Burden is probably going
to be my most frequently talked about player in these episodes.
We've been waiting on the big Luther Burden game since
his role started expanding in Week ten. We're now on
four straight games with at least a forty four percent
snap share, and we're now went back to back games
where he's played at least fifty one percent of the snaps.
The encouraging thing that Nathan Yankee at PFF points out
(02:55):
is that Luther Burden's deployment on Black Friday is that
the Bears you tolize eleven personnel more than usual against
the Eagles, which led to Burden playing a season high
in total snaps. His snapshot was actually at about sixty
percent until the fourth quarter, when the Bears trotted out
a much higher rate of twelve personnel because they wanted
to make sure the game was solidified and in Salt
(03:16):
Away the lead. Does that rate of eleven personnel usage
continue against Green Bay twice and Cleveland in the coming weeks.
That's to be determined. But what's clear is the upside
that Luther Burden possesses. He's outpaced DJ more in target
share over the last four weeks. He's running two point
three to two yards per route this year, which is
eleventh of all wide receivers with at least seventy five
(03:39):
routes run per Fantasy Points data, and he's earning a
target on a very respectable twenty four percent of his routes.
The point that I've been reiterating all season long is
finally coming to fruition here, right Ben Johnson can only
keep his early second round draft pick off the field
for so long. All it's going to take is one
singular bounce in Luther Burden's favor, and we're looking at
(04:00):
the number one waiver wire pickup an extremely viable lineup
option as well. So let's keep working ahead and stash
Luther Burden before either of those things happen. Up Next,
we have Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis, who is
rostered in nine percent of leagues. The box score for
Ray Davis this year has been pretty dang desolate. He
has just as many games with zero carries as he
(04:23):
does with two plus carries. But as you can guess,
I'm not interested in Ray Davis for the standalone value here.
I'm interested in Ray Davis because, like Brian Robinson, he,
in my opinion, is a premier handcuff option that needs
to be rostered. The backup role to James Cook isn't
necessarily as cut and dry for the Bills as it
is with the forty nine ers. You've also got Ty
(04:44):
Johnson here in the picture, who's playing anywhere from twenty
to forty percent of snaps week in and week out.
But should anything happen to the running back that trails
only Jonathan Taylor by fifty four rushing yards right now,
my guess is that Ray Davis gets the majority of
the nineteen carries, James Cook is averaging per game, and
ty Johnson remains This change of pays pass catching compliment
(05:06):
to Ray Davis. I know the twenty forty four and
twenty twenty five seasons are completely different, but we did
get a four taste of what lead back Ray Davis
looks like when James Cook misses time last season. In
Week six against the New York Jets, when James Cook
sat out due to a toe injury, Ray Davis logged
twenty carries for ninety seven yards. He got all three
(05:26):
of his targets for fifty five yards as well, finishing
with eighteen point two PPR Fantasy points, which was good
for the running back thirteen on the week. The Tyler Aljiers,
the Blake Krums shoot, even the Emmanuel Wilsons. They're all
rostered in over forty percent of leagues. Why wait until
your star running back playing human bumper cars out on
the football field potentially gets hurt during the most important
(05:49):
stretch of the fantasy football season. Get your insurance policy
stashed now, or be a menace and stash your league
mad's handcuffs to elevate your championship odds even further. On
our list this week is Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaj
Peter Red, who was also rostered in nine percent of leagues.
P Urid made his return on Thanksgiving after dealing with
(06:09):
the high ankle spring he sustained against Chicago Bears in
Week nine, and the Bengals really didn't hesitate getting him
involved once again. I'll be in a very positive game script.
He was given sixteen touches but only racked up fifty
four yards, so not an efficient day, especially on a
per touch basis, but the Bengals seem to put him
right back into the primary backup role and third down
roll right next to Chase Brown. My guess is that
(06:32):
we aren't going to see fifteen plus, let alone ten
plus touches for Samaj p Uri moving forward. But because
Peri missed time, we might actually have a sneak peek
as to what it would look like if Chase Brown
were to miss time during the Fantasy Football playoffs. Chase
Brown logged ninety six, eighty two and eighty nine percent
of snaps in the three games p rind dealt with
(06:54):
this high ankle Sprain garnering nearly twenty five touches per game. Now,
don't hear when I'm not I don't believe the Bengals
just hand samajp Ryan the keys to this backfield. You
would definitely get TODJ. Brooks more involved as well, But
that's a lot of touches to be redistributed, and Samaj
p Ryan would be first in line to in my opinion,
(07:14):
probably receive half of those. So again, another player I'm
not necessarily interested in for standalone value, but rather I
want the potential handcuff value for the team that has
the easiest running back schedule rest of season, that also
just had their elite franchise quarterback return to action last week.
Coming in next is Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant,
(07:35):
who was rostered in six percent of leagues. One week,
it's Courtland Sutton, the next is Troy Franklin. But now
we're getting more Pat Bryan to this Broncos wide receiver room.
Is this fascinating puzzle. But the most noteworthy thing about
this Broncos wide receiver group after Sunday Night Football last
week was that Pat Brian actually surpassed Troy Franklin in snaps, routes,
(07:58):
and targets. Brian said seventy percent snapscher was his highest
of the season, and he's now drawn six plus targets
in back to back games, sandwiching the Broncos bye week
in there. The bye week is often when we see
teams make adjustments to personnel rotation so rookies can get
more involved, such as the case for Pat Bryant. Nathan
Yanke at PFF points out that Pat Bryant played much
(08:19):
more in eleven personnel sets than Troy Franklin did this week,
who rotated more frequently with Marvin Mims against the Commanders.
I'm hesitant to say that this is the new norm
for the deployment of the Denver Broncos wide receivers, because
we all know Sean Payton can change his mind at
the drop of a hat. But based on what we
saw last week, I'm inclined to keep Pat Bryant stashed
(08:42):
at the end of my bench on a Broncos offense
that's been sixth in pass rate over expectation this last month.
When you're also looking at a juicy matchup against the
Las Vegas Raiders this week, I won't be surprised at
all if Pat Bryant is one of the top Weaver
ads come Tuesday. So this is your chance right here
to beat your league mates to that punch. The last
stash I want to talk about this week is the
(09:02):
New Orleans Saints defense in special teams that's rostered in
only eleven percent of leagues. Now, I want to talk
about a defense because every edge matters in the Fantasy
Football playoffs, and that includes stashing defenses with juicy upcoming schedules.
I'll make this one quick because I don't want to
deep dive the defense too much. But after Tampa Bay
in Week fourteen, the New Orleans Saints get an incredible rollout.
(09:24):
They get the Carolina Panthers in Week fifteen, who I know,
they just knocked off the Los Angeles Rams. Bryce Young
has been chucking the ball around the yard. I get it.
But in Week sixteen they get the New York Jets
led by Tarrod Taylor, and then in week seventeen they
get the Tennessee Titans led by camp Ward. I know
this defense in and of itself isn't very good, but
neither are the offenses they've got lined up for the
(09:45):
Fantasy Football playoffs. The Saints are going to be one
of the more popular stream defenses come playoff time, so
that's why it's best if you stash them now so
your league mates can be disappointed later when they're looking
for them. And there you have it. Those are my
top five with the bonus waiver wires staff is ahead
of Week fourteen. Go sprint your waiver wire right now.
Make sure none of these guys are available in your league. Again,
(10:07):
they're all rostered in less than thirty two percent of leagues,
because Brian Robinson is rostered in thirty one percent of leagues.
But before we sign off here though, remember we've got
a special deal going on for you all right now.
