Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, and welcome into Fantasy Pros live on Twitch.
It is Wednesday, August twentieth, and we've got another Fantasy
football Q and A coming your way right here on
twitch dot tv slash Fantasy Pros. That's where you can
follow us for all the live interactive content Monday through Friday.
I'm your host, Seth Wilcock, and riding shotgun with me

(00:21):
is a man who I'm sure is gritting ear to
ear as his kids return to school and he reclaims
his homestead ahead of the football season. Derek Brown, debro,
how are you as you send the kids back away
for eight hours of state provided childcare?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Bro? It's the one thing I'll say and everybody that
has like school age kids out there that knows or
especially like high schoolers and stuff. The one great thing
is I know that the grocery bills get a little
bit less during the school year because it's like, all right,
gotta worry about breakfast, Dan, you gotta worry about luncheon.
It's got to feed him dinner, man. So it's like
as opposed to the summer where I'm like, dude, y'all

(00:58):
ever stop freaking eat, Like just wait yesterday how did
you polish off two boxes and twinkies, a box of
fruit roll ups and a damn box of ding twelve hours?
How did that happen? How? So? Yes, it's very nice seth.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Well, I'm glad you have your piece of quiet and
your counter cabinets back to your disposal for you. Over
the next couple weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
We were hiding freaking snacks in the office. We don't
eat all of them. It's tough man, savages.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Go ahead, everyone, drop your questions below. We'll be sure
to get to them and after the program, make sure
you're checking out the Fantasy Pros YouTube channel and the
podcast feed for some very fun full length episodes and
some short form content, and be sure to check out
yesterday's Fantasy Fest as well. Debro, you were live there
with Worm with ericson, Joe, Piece of Pia and the
Fits and the whole gang and a lot of awesome

(01:50):
guests from around the industry. Seems like it was a
great time. Anything you learned or came to terms with
during the fest.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Dude, it was a fantastic, fantastic show to fantastic program.
And I know we said this pre show, and I
want to say this and highlight this adamantly right now.
Shout out to everybody in our production apartment, everybody behind
the scenes, everybody on the mics and everything. The graphics
were freaking amazing, The show flowed amazing, like everybody just

(02:19):
did a wonderful job. So everybody behind the scenes that
doesn't sit in front of a camera, doesn't sit in
front of a mic every day, like absolutely crushed it.
And our team needs to know that get the light
that they deserve and the flowers they deserve. It was
absolutely amazing with that's Cali Jackson, Seth john Everybody just

(02:39):
absolutely crushed it. So whether you want the analysis of
the advice or you just go and tune in and
just watch all the spectacular glory of just the presentation
of that show. It was stellar from start to finish.
And another person, I want to shout out real fast,
I was not just shack me this. I was not

(03:01):
familiar with your game, sir. One of our spots yesterday
was done with Dan Johnson from DraftKings. Sure, I immediately
freaking followed him right after the show. He was awesome.
I never interacted talk ball with him before. All of
his research points, everything was absolutely spot on and wonderful man.

(03:23):
So if you're not following Dan out there right now,
go go hit up my ex check out my followers,
my most reasons and stuff like that. Give that man
a follow because he knows ball.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
When you said hit up your ax, some thingking like
ex girlfriend for a second, but then it kind of
came back to me that time finding that. Yeah. But no, dude,
it was a really really good program. I tuned in
for a large portion of it, So hats off to you,
hats off to the production team, all the great guests
we had on and shout to listeners as well. Matunda
also saying, incredible Fantasy Fest this year. Been watching for

(03:55):
years and it was incredible. Who are your biggest risers
over the last week with all the camp news so Debro,
we also have Nick checking in asking who the biggest
riser in the rankings was? Is it Bill? Isn't JCM
also Bill CM? I guess BCM as we're calling him
these days.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Dude, I've seeing for anybody that likes old SNL, the
Bill Crosskey Merrit has been out there too, Like anybody
needs to just go just go google old Snl' it's fantastic.
But dude, Yeah, Jacms, Jacory Krossky merit has been a
big riser for me. I mean right now, I was
updating notes and rankings on Fantasypros dot Com this morning. Again,

(04:35):
right now, we are in news season, so have to
keep your head on a swivel. Right now, I am
doing projecting with this, but with all the news that
we're currently dealing with, and I want people to follow
that if they're doing drafts right now, this weekend, tonight, tomorrow, everything.
I have moved up Jacory crosskey Merit up to RB
thirty two, So I am projecting with that ranking that

(04:56):
Brian Robertson Junior is either traded or cut or not
on this team. I think there's projection, but as we
get more news, I'm going to sit here and move
the rankings and stuff, and I want people to be
in tune. So I think he deserves to be drafted somewhere.
And if you're using real time ADP on Fantasypros dot Com,
that is another fantastic resource, whether you're doulding the news
and everything else, like you have the app, the all

(05:18):
in one app this year downloaded. All of these things
are meant to keep up with all of these things
quickly that can change these rankings. Like right now I'm
talking about before all of this news, Jacory Krossky Merritt
was a player that was ranked somewhere in the RB
sixties or seventies or the art on the depth chart. Now,
with the news that we're getting, if Brian Robertson Junior

(05:38):
is not on this team, if he has cut or traded,
JCM deserves Bill deserves to be drafted in that RB
three territory. So if you have drafts coming up, not
only should you be doing MOCKX on the draft simulator,
not only should you be keeping up with news on
fantasypros dot com with the app, you also need to
use real time ADP. So you're under standing how these

(06:01):
things are shifting. Because the ADP, if you're drafting on
Yahoo or ESPN, Sleep or whatever, it's not gonna catch
up right enough. It's not going to correct. So you're
saying to yourself, Okay, well, I mean, how early is
too early? Should I be drafting in here? Is this
a reach RB three territory? The other guy, I will
shout out here and I updated ranks this morning, and

(06:24):
I even threw this out here and people are telling
me I'm still too low on him with all the
stuff that kid that hit the timeline yesterday with with
Jalen McMillan possibly being out till after week, asked a
dude and the Chris Godwin News, I moved up in
Mecca Buka a ton like right now, he's my wide
receiver thirty two, and some of them say that that's

(06:44):
still too low. I think that's comfortable, and I want
to I don't want to be too reactionary with that,
but I think somewhere in that like high end to
mid wide receiver three range is exactly where he should be. Now, chat,
y'all can tell me if I'm wrong with that, if
I'm too too low or too high on him, please
let us know. But Seth, what do you think about that?
With Bill and jcm or excuse me, Bill Anighouka, where

(07:08):
are you at with them?

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yes, So, those of you who did not catch the news,
Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Junior did not play
in Monday's preseason game. This, according to Adam Schefter, is
signaling the end of his tenure in the nation's capital.
So for me, I was already, I felt like really
high on JCM. I was taking him last round with
a lot of dart throws, have a ton of best
ball exposure, have a lot of people already sending me

(07:30):
some garbage dynasty trade requests for him. Get out of
here with that. I ain't taken your Jack Besh for
JCM right now, even though I like Jack Besh, I
ain't doing that. But to me, Debro, I came to
a decision yesterday last night on the IBT podcast, I
was doing a mock draft and I had to face
a decision. Do I take Javonte Williams over JCM. I did,

(07:51):
But I think that's the line for me. I think
I'm right in there with you are currently RB thirty one.
I moved him above Joe Mixon. I moved on above
Jordan Mason and Travis E. T. That's kind of the
line for me. What about you? Are you? Is he
above ETN? Is he above Mason? For you?

Speaker 2 (08:08):
I think right now, if we're living in the world
of for me at least, it's that that same type
of tier of like you're talking about Javonte Williams, Tank bigsby,
Jordan Mason, JK Dobbins, Tyrone Tracy Jalen Warren. I think
that's the realm where I think Bill Jacory krossky merit
should be drafted somewhere in that range where we're talking

(08:29):
about whether it's volume, roll touchdowns, probably in that in
that range of where we're talking about in the best
case of circumstances, they can be low end RB two's,
or they're probably better viewed as like standalone flex plays
or RB three's.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Right now, Okay, And just to kind of follow up
there with the Amcca Buka take as well, Tampa Bay
Buccaneers wide receiver Jalen Millon. He was placed on IR
injury reserve with a neck injury. He will miss at
least the first four game. So to me, I've been
rising on Abuca. He was my wide receiver two in
the process. If we go back to the NFL Draft show,

(09:07):
and I tried to really temper my expectations and redraft
debro just because it was a loaded wide receiver group
before this news, I had him at wide receiver thirty eight, and.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Now they're dropping like flies. Dude.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
I think, Yeah, it's a tough scene out there with McMillan.
We don't think Chris god will be ready to go
as well. Right now, I have him up at wide
receiver thirty five. Now, however, you could start making the case,
should I take him over Travis Hunter? Should I take
him over Jerry Judy, Marvin Harrison Junior? Those are the three.
I don't know whether I move him above. Is he

(09:38):
above those guys in your rankings?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
He he's not above Travis Hunter, but I think right
now the realm he's living in for me and my
ranks differ from consensus, Like I'm not as high on
Marvin Harrison Junior as most or DJ Moore, but right
now I think he's in the I think him and
z A Flowers are basically like the Gift. It's I

(10:01):
think that's where I'm at. Where Zay Flowers has been
wide receiver thirty one, Wide receiver thirty two and Fantasy
points per game of the last two years. What's the
difference in him and a Mecca Buca And honestly, dude, like,
I mean, if if Buka is gonna operate, is the
two in the Bucks passing offense for most of, maybe
the entirety of the year, why shouldn't he be ranked

(10:24):
above Zay Flowers because we know Tampa Bay is gonna
throw the ball more than Baltimore.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
It's a great point. It is certainly a great point.
I think the only thing that could hold a Mecca
Abuka back is we do have the changeover an offensive
corneer down there in Tampa Bay. Baker Mayfield was that
one outlier quarterback last year with just an insane touchdown rate,
so I'm not expecting, you know, forty plus touchdowns. But
at the same time, Mecca has always been the guy

(10:50):
who is gonna get on the field because he's a
great run blocker, he's a great teammate. He can do
everything from route people up underneath to taking a deep shot.
He can do a little bit of every thing. So
I'm right there with you, man. I wanted to ask
you about Rashid Rice as well, with the news coming
out that initially the NFL was looking for a ten
game suspension the PA pushback, so there's no settlement on

(11:12):
when that will be. Where are you dropping Rice in
your rankings because right now I have them all the
way down at wide receiver thirty nine, and I'm not
sure where to go from here.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
To be honest, dude, I didn't move them at all.
He's wide receiver twenty five and I don't think See,
here's the thing with Rice if his representation doesn't feel
like they had a case, yeah, to push back and
push back hard against the bs of the NFL is
trying to do because there's no previously established statute for

(11:43):
ten games, Like there's nothing there for that. Like that
just feels like we're gonna make an example out of
this guy. And that's kind of where it comes down
to me with the NFL. Like everybody can cite, oh
it should be five or six games, it should be four, dude.
The NFL does whatever the heck the NFL wants to do,
and this is one of those things. Were like they
pushed ten games his the NFLPA and his representation said, nah, man,

(12:07):
I'm gonna get I'm shooting you the bird. You're not
getting that. That's not what's happening here. So right now
I'm beund and projecting. I think cutting that in half
and he gets five games, I think it's totally fine.
And if that's the if that's where he lands, though
we already kind of knew he was going to probably
land in that four to six range. So depending on
where that happens, or if that's the case, why are

(12:30):
we moving him in rankings down at all? Because isn't
all of that just kind of a nothing burger? And
basically we already kind of knew, like if that's where
it lands, then he lands kind of in the spot
where we already thought he was going to land and
being a wide receiver three. To me, it was it was,
it was. It was a lot of news that I

(12:52):
think didn't move me at all because it was like,
we already knew he was gonna miss a bunch of games.
You were already a count for that and how you
were building your teams, And then it really just comes
down to when he's back, what do you think he's
gonna be. I think he's going to be a wide
receiver two, with wide receiver one upside when he's back, Well,

(13:14):
then you are already accounting for that how you were
building your teams and how you were drafting. So what's
the difference.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
You might be right, maybe I am overreacting to the news.
I just like can't fathom stomaching a player who could
miss half the season on my team. I just don't
want to like, burning up that roster spot is more
just damning than anything to me, right, Like, I just
hate doing that's why.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
But you're not drafting him to be your wide receiver
two on squads, right, seth your draft to be a
flex or your wide receiver three. And when he's back,
he outproduces. So this is just zoom out of Well
then I'm just trying to float the boat until he
gets back right right, And if that's the case, then
what's the difference here? You know? Then then it comes
down to what are you projecting as far as games missed.

(13:58):
If you're on the high side of like it's eight
to ten, then I understand your ranking. If you're in
the it's probably a four to six bucket like where
I'm at in somewhere, probably as a wide receiver three
makes more sense.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Well keep it, keep your head on a swivel for
that one. Guys, we're gonna see you win this.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Just get this announced, like why they like but again
that delay in this announcements. If this was more of
an open and shut case like Jordan Addison, right, yeah,
you know Jordan Abison, like his representation was like, bro,
this is the best we're getting shut up, deal with it,
get it over with, Let's get this out the way,
announce it, put this in your rear view. If, for

(14:33):
she Rice's representation didn't feel like they had a case
and they couldn't push for this, then tell me why
wouldn't they just be like, look, get this over again with,
let's get this exactly. There's no pushback. We can't do
anything about this. Yes, it sucks, but you got to
deal with it. Let's get it done and in the
rear view. If that was the case, why wouldn't this
already be in the news, known, out there and done

(14:56):
with the fact that it's not I feel Bill is
the signal that a lot of people are missing. The
fact that this is still being fought under the surface
by his reps leads me to believe it's either going
to come in lower or it's going to be in
that five to six range.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Interesting. Yeah, I mean, it's one of those things that
you got to risk it for the biscuit here, right,
We got to put on our big, big boy and
big fans.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
May.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yep, we saw it the same thing a couple of
years ago with the holdout and the injury for Jonathan Taylor.
If you took him in the seventh, eighth round and
twenty twenty three, you're very happy. But then there's the
other side of the coin too, where sometimes this doesn't
work out in your favor as a fantasy manager. But
we shall see how this plays out here. I wanted
to get to a couple more questions and comments here,
would you take Bill over Eckler? Derek, Yeah, I don't

(15:42):
think it's really that close for me.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
And Eckler doesn't have we know his role, what his
role was going to be as the pass catcher in
this backfield. He doesn't have upside to be a workhorse,
whereas like if Eckler goes down, if they don't like
if Bill is playing really good and Eckler goes down,
could we see like a Brian Robinson plus role. Could
this be he's a workhorse and they seed a little

(16:07):
bit more of the volume, maybe some pass game work
that doesn't go to maybe McNichols, and he goes to Bill.
That's where it's like, Eckler's fine in best ball streets,
like you want to make the case for him versus
like Justice Hill or other pass catching backs. Fine, but
there's no ceiling with Austin Eckler versus like Bill, Yeah,

(16:28):
there's a ceiling outcome there.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
Yeah. And let's not forget the reason I think Jakori
Krotsky Marrit went so under the radar during the process
is didn't get to play at Arizona last year, was
fighting the NCAA on some legal issues with his transfer.
Threwed him.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Yeah, so in Cuba screwed him over, Like, let's just
call it.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, hey, dude, I'm not I'm like.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
I have no allegiances or worries about the NC double A,
Like they screwed this kid over. He had a fourth
round grade for me in the draft. He should have
gone somewhere in the fourth or fifth round, at least
even a deep running back class. Like we talked about it, man,
Like I and I'm not alone with that. I know
Mike Rinner and other people out there were high on
him as prospect. I really like the kid. But what

(17:10):
the what the NC double A did to him and
really hurting his NFL draft stock was honestly a travesty.
They should be ashamed of that.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Hey, that's uh NCAA football though, right, that's what they do.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Yeah, they're out there, but yeah, but yeah, let's let's
push back about about all these collegiate kids making money
and protecting themselves versus the NC double A that doesn't
care about them. Yeah, let's go. Let's side with big
big NC double A here. You'll never hear that out
of me.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah. It took Reggie Bush's heisman away for all those
years too, man, just yeah, it's absurd duous. Before we
keep it moving, I did want to let everyone know
that the team here at Fancy Pros will be taking
your questions all week right here on twitch dot tv
slash Fancy Pros Ericson and Tom Strock and they talk
Bestball Mondays at four Eastern time. Tuesdays at seven pm

(17:56):
Eastern time. Well, that's Bogman and the Welsh. They're playing
Madden twin Live.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Talk to Bogan the other day about that. He was
not super confident because he was gonna run out the
Steelers for the first game. Like, dude, you don't have
to play with Yeah, you don't have to play with
the exactly I told him that.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
So now you did good teams to sit here and
using Madden.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Bogman, Come on, sometimes I like using the worst too.
Sometimes I like you in like Cleveland or you know
someone that's kind of like poo poo, and then then
when you beat someone with him, you feel good. But
also on that schedule myself and Debro, we're here at
Wednesdays at two Eastern time. We're always taking your questions
and then also some more Q and A is coming
a right Thursdays and Fridays at five pm Eastern time,
taking you into your weekend. I'm here with Terrell tomorrow

(18:39):
five pm Eastern time, so looking forward to that. Please
give us a follow and ask questions live right here
on Twitch and we'll be sure to get to them.
And wanted to shadow our guy Schrader who just follows.
What's up Schrader? Is that you're named after Kenny Schrader.
Curious Kenny Schrader, Any Kenny s Trader fans out there, Derek,
you probably don't even know who that is. It's an
older NASCAR driver, but good guy.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I've heard the name. Yeah, I was actually going to
go to Cody Trader.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Oh Codrader. Yeah, Missouri, let's go a little.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Bit more recent. You're making me feel like the young
man in the building and you're the old here.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
So what happened to Cody Trader? Is he did he
go to the UFL? Is he UFL? No?

Speaker 2 (19:15):
No, no, no, no, he is on Uh it's not the Rams?
Good lord? Where's he at now? Okay, well let me
know because I saw him in preseason action the other day.
Where is Cody Schrader? Where in the world is Cody Trader?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Right now? He's gone the Rams.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
It's Rams. He's still with the Rams.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Okay, Oh wow, that's a crowd. That's a pretty crowd backfield.
They got him. They probably Zach Evans still. I'm Adgines
on that roster somewhere floating around too, So.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
I think Zach Evans is heading for the CFL.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Okay, all right, well yeah shout Zach, Yeah, Debbie. Managers
will appreciate that. That that deep cut there, Uh sure, sure, next,
thanks guys, you're making me tolerate building some flat pack furniture. Dude.
There's nothing more I honestly think I hate than like
building furniture. It is the absolute worst. I think in

(20:10):
the future, when I get a new couch or something like,
I'm just gonna pay for them to do it. I
don't think I have the time for it anymore.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Oh really, come on, don't do that.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Don't you don't ever in your adult life, now that
you are a full fledged adult, you have kids, you
have a full time job, you're making content. You're telling
me you always put your furniture together. Yes, I do,
I do, I usually do.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
But I hold on, I'm not gonna tell you it's
a fun experience. Anybody that is ever look and I'll
go dad vibe here. Any dad out there that has
ever put together a freaking crib you know? You know
that's like kind of like six pack or bottle of
wine material.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Still.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
It's it's it's a worthwhile time, you know. So No,
I'm now the one I will I will talk out
of both sides of my mouth here. The one thing
I will never put together. And it kind of feels
counterintuitive because I'm like, out of all the things that
like if it's put together wrong as far as bodily
harm and bad things going sideways, the one lazy thing

(21:16):
I have never put together and will never put together.
It kind of scares me. Mentioning this now is a grill,
which I'm like, propane explosion. Is that probably like I
should be putting that together. But dude, that's the one
thing I will say. Yeah, I have never put together
a grill. I have always bought, Like I'm the guy
that walks up.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
To Low's and you'll buy the floor model, so so
that way you gotta sit downside. Yeah, what's the.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Story with that? Then we sell on it's what's up?
I mean, fifty dollars off, it's been sitting on the
rain a little bit. What you did?

Speaker 1 (21:49):
I completely agree. I try not to buy the ones
sitting outside though, because up here in PA they're gonna
get rusty as heck. But I always do go for
the floor model as well. That's usually my play, Callie.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Not everybody has built the entire home they live in. Okay,
you're kind of one of one there, homie, although I
know that it's kind of the fad on Instagram right now.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Yeah, uh, let us know CALLI in the back end,
let us know he built his whole home, also built
custom gas stove in his uh in his shout.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
Out to Cali, he's, uh, he's definitely got the home
on wheels. Man starlink the full nine, like, uh, yeah,
definitely know that the man can build some things. Not
my jam, but shout out to Cali. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
I just had to replace my hot water tank for
the first time last week, so that was a little
bit of a learning experience. But we're growing. We're learning.
Just like in fancy analysis, you get better with time.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Adulting is hard and sometimes adulting sucks.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Dude, it is absolutely daily two time saying fantasy Fest
was great and I was able to stumble into Twitch
because of it. Let's go thanks for all the contents.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Speaking of which, dude, everybody. We got done with fantasy
Fest and I was I was doing dishes in the
kitchen yesterday and my phone rings and I'm like, I
look down those like, why is Welsh calling me? I
was like, isn't he like online have like Twitch right now?
At doing the after party for fantasy Fest. Dude, his
total phone a friend, him and Welsh, I mean him

(23:12):
and Bogman were still drafting and He's like, hey, so
I'm granting my team. So anybody that can go still
watch the playback of the after party. It was definitely
a fun time. Welsh's like, dude, I'm so glad you
even answered. I was like, I'm not a savager. Horrible
person you call me, I'm answering Welsh, of course. But
it was a good time, wonderful, like just a hilarious moment.

(23:32):
So everybody needs to go check the playback of that too.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Yeah, I'm excited to see that for sure. Bandit in
the chat asking us how far are you dropping Devon
ah Chan in your rankings with him possibly missing up
to three weeks to start the season. So I usually
when it comes to medical observation in fantasy football, I
usually do lean on one of our experts that contributes
to Fancy Pros, doctor Deepak Jonah. He's saying that he

(23:56):
does think a Chan will be ready for week one,
but there is potential for a setback. So with that
being said, I did drop eight Chan. Finally, I think
you were probably already there. I dropped him below Christian
McCaffrey having fifteen overall. Are you a little bit higher
yet on e Chan?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
No, I think I'm actually might be a little bit
lower than you are. Oh interesting, I've got him and
some of this could be a little bit of an overcorrection.
But like with the calf injury, like I dropped him behind,
he's my RB nine. Now, Oh where I had him
at like RB six, okay, but I dropped him behind
Bucky Irving, Derrick Henry, and Josh Jacobs. I am worried

(24:34):
a little bit about the calf injury, but dude, this
also like and I feel like for people to get
context there. This also for me, it's it's the snowball
rolling downhill. It's not like this injury news to me
just adds on to my overall totality of worry for

(24:54):
the Miami Dolphins. Like I'm just worried about that team
in general. I'm worried Mike McDaniel was gone by week seven.
I'm worried Tyreek goes full a B. I'm worried this
team is just an absolute, total and horrible mess by
the middle of the season. And I'm worried this offensive
line could be legitimately terrible. So it's like this news

(25:17):
was also like just kind of like leaning on a
house of cards for me to where.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
It's like.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
I understand this in it This in itself isn't that
big of a deal, but it's like when you add
this on top of this, this, this, this, this, and this,
it's like it's it's the sum of all the parts for.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Me, So no, I totally understand drafting Miami Dolphins this
season feels like when you walk into a college bar
bathroom and someone's like, hey, man, come over the stall,
and you know see what I'm getting into in here.
It's like, Okay, that could either be a good time.
That could be a not so good time.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
So this took a really weird and unexpected term that
I'm here for.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
You're telling me I never walked into a college bar bathroom.
People are just offering you things in there. Never I'll plead, okay,
I never have accepted those things. I will say that
I'll leave down. Okay, I'll just say, but that's how
I feel like that. And also, and I think Mike
McDaniel's the type of guy I might have some of
that stuff on him too. So uh so this could

(26:19):
either blow up or it could be a great coach
that says where it's a good day because we're one
day closer to death, like.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Okay, Kyle Shanahan vibes like might not even wake up tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Yeah yeah right.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Nick in the chat saying which player are you most
interested in seeing in Week one? What about you? Derek?
For me, I can't stop drafting Travon Henderson. Dude, I
think we could be into a Jamior Gibbs rookie season.
I've been moving up my ranks. I loved what we
saw in the preseason from so far as well. Like
I've RB seventeen right now, I'm not afraid to break
him above Jonathan Taylor and move him up one spot either.

(26:57):
So like that's where I am right now. On Hendo, he's.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Probably you have Hindo above JT.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
No, I said, right behind him. I'm not afraid to
move above it. Okay, I'm I'm I'm in, man, I
am in.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
I mean, geez man, I should be asking if you're
a PA, if you've converted from a Steelers to a
Patriots fan now white.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
I feel like I am at this point. I have
so much Drake May exposure it's absolutely unreal. So yeah,
what about you, though, Derek, who's the one player you're like?
Week one? I cannot wait to watch Blank?

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Come on, take you guess. I'm gonna give you three
guesses to what's the number one player you think? I'm
gonna say, Oh, with, what's the guy that I've been
talking about all freaking off season? He's going to catch
a crap ton of passes in his offense. Drake London,
I can't rank him, well, well, go to running back position.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
Oh running back mile high? Okay r J. Harvey. Yeah
that was obvious. That was obvious.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
It's gonna be Harvey. I want to see Harvey just
go out there and cough and nail all the people
that hated on him and ranked him too low this season. Hey,
so it's Harvey, Like, yeah, give me that. Harvey like
thirteen to fifteen carries like five catches out of the
backfield a tuddy and he's like an RB one a
week one were off of the races. Here for it,

(28:13):
Here for it.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
I'm here for that. I'm also here for Van Rod,
who's cheering one hundred bits to us saying he loves
DEIY projects. Look, Van Rod, I.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Like, you know your favorite one of the the and
the chat here, Van Rod. I'm somewhat of a do
I Y myself personally.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
Yeah, let us know. My favorite thing about you do
you d I Y is my fiance is really good
at him and my office is in the basement here
and when I walk upstairs, like the other day, she
had like the whole back hall decorated for the first time. Like,
oh man, that's awesome. So sometimes I like that. I
like just showing up and they're already done. But I
do like assisting in him too, So Van Rod.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
I love doing furniture so back. Not that everybody needs
this whole spiel, but like, way back in the day,
I used to restore furniture for side cash and stuff,
so like I know how to use a lathe all
that kind of stuff. Like if I had the tools,
I could build you like a really nice table actually
from scratch. Oh wow. Really like I like appearing a lot.
Yeah dude, okay, I like somewhere around you. I don't

(29:13):
have it on the handy, but I'll have to pull
it up on one of these shows. I actually have
a custom baseball bat that I made myself, like wooden
baseball bat, Like, yeah, it's nice.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Really really appreciate appreciate that, Van Rod, Thank you so
much for hanging out.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
I'm not bringing up I'm not even gonna state like
woodworking like and all the jokes that proceed with that.
Not even gonna go there, but kind of went there
on accident.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Uh before we keep it moving with some more questions here.
I did want to remind everyone that this week we're
hooking up one of you with a twenty twenty five
draft board kit courtesy of our friends over at Trophy Smack.
This nearly five y three football draft board comes with
five hundred plus player labels, including rookies, smack talk, stickers,

(29:54):
and a marker tenter. Just leave a comment on any
of our Twitch streams this week and you'll automn actually
be entered. Subscribers get a one point five percent boost
odds boost at winning the giveaway as I thank you.
The winner will be announced on Tuesday show next week.
So very excited about that. Thank you. Trophy Smack always

(30:15):
come in clutch with the draft boards. We had a
bunch of those out at our draft party in Canton,
and people always love the stickers because people just absolutely
love trash talking one another. Derek.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
I love how you went throughout the everything that was included.
You're like and a marker. Yes, shut your own sharpie.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Through the markers. But if you don't have the marker,
I know, I know.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
I just thought it was funny on all the things
that need you were like and a marker, like a
Sharpie's selling it, baby, let's go out it is but
shout at the Van Rod a death setups and centerpieces.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Oh love it.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Yeah, she's rocking, man, love it.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Van Rod, absolute unit out there. We appreciate you so much.
Let's keep it moving here. Some more questions from Van Rod. Actually,
she drafted Kyler Murray, but think about dropping him for
Drake May? Yeay or nay? Do it? I do have
draft May above? Would you maybe see if she can
get something for Kyler though, if it's a if it's

(31:10):
a twelve team league or.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
If it's a one QB, nobody's giving you anything for
Kyler bro I mean unless okay, well, I'll say this,
So if if she's already drafted and this is one
of those teams where or leagues where say you're rostering
a kicker in a defense right now, drop one of
those and if you could pull off like and then
go ahead and pick up Drake May so drop a

(31:32):
defense or a kicker for Drake May and then yeah, sure,
like if you can pull off a trade where you
can say, I don't know, give Kyler Murray and like,
look over the teams in the league. Who has the
worst quarterback walking out of the draft, like basically like ECR,
who is the lowest. Okay, I'm gonna go after that

(31:53):
team because that team maybe thinks that they don't have
enough quarterback right and they only drafted say like one
quarterback at the end of it. You know, if that's
the case, then yeah, sure, Like maybe you go off
for Kyler and a running back or wide receiver and
you upgraded that position. Sure, I have no problems with
doing that. But if you can't do that, yes, I

(32:13):
would be totally fine with dropping Kyler for Drake May.
And yes, I do not want any small plug here.
I'm doing a YouTube short for US today and Kyler
Murray is in my latest article of my top five
quarterbacks to avoid, So.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
I'm with you there. One of my biggest feats last
season in my really really competitive home league. These guys
are super sharp. But right before the breakout was able
to trade Kyler Murray straight up for lad McConkie and
I had no receivers at all, So that felt great
that that was a good one. Like, yeah, so I
will not I don't think I'll ever draft Kyler Murray again.
I just also don't like his personality, so it's not

(32:48):
fun to root for him either.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
The problem with Kyler is it comes down to like
when would you feel comfortable? And this is again teasing
this video like the thing that I'm highlighting the most
of this and everybody out there like I understand he
finished as the QB twelve and Fantasy points per game
like that on the service, it's like, well, we're all
too low on Kyler. If you had Kyler in a

(33:11):
managed league last year, you knew the pain because if
you look at what he did on a more granular
weekly basis, this dude had five top five finishes where
he averaged twenty six Fantasy points per game, which all
sounds amazing, like, oh, that's awesome winning your week. The
problem is side, in the same season, the other side

(33:35):
of the coin, he had nine games where he was
the QB fifteen or lower. So it's like those five
games if you started him, were great. The other nine times,
which again that's fourteen games out of the season, he
finished as a low end to mid QB two and

(33:55):
you were saying you were just reconsidering everything about your life.
You're like, why did I do this to myself? Why
did I draft Kyler Murray and why did I believe
it in this week? So no, you can miss me
with Kyler Murray. Y don't want nothing to do with
him in fantasy.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
No, I completely agree, and in that trade I traded
him away because Drake May was the other option that
was floating out there, and Drake May has just a
more solid floor. I was tired of the highs and
lows of Kyler Murray. I just can't do it. So, Vanessa,
thank you so much for the comment. Thank you so
much for the bits as well. We appreciate you. Matunda.
Does Daniel Jones starting now raise the Colts position players?

(34:33):
De bro? This is very interesting conversation. So we did
get news yesterday that it is official Daniel Jones was
named the Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback. Question Marks about Anthony
Richards in his future with the team are certainly out there.
Chris Ballard, the general manager, I think his future also
with the team very much up in the air. But
this said, are you rising on whether it's Michael Pittman, Junior,

(34:56):
Joshua Downs or my main man out in your hashtag?
We are?

Speaker 2 (35:02):
No, I'm not, because have we got not all seen
Daniel Jones pull his best Blake Bortles on a weekly basis,
every single freaking game, and if he does that, we're
gonna see Anthony Richardson at some point this season. It's
just gonna happen. And I just this Colts offense, man,

(35:24):
I just don't want really a whole lot to do
with it this year. It's a lot of different parts
of pieces. It's a lot of like spreading out target shares,
like you could give me maybe the dip on Josh downs,
but outside of that, it's like, I just I don't
see the upside case where a lot of these guys
just absolutely smash their ADPs. And I don't think Daniel

(35:48):
Jones is a good quarterback. If he sucks or he
starts off bad, we're gonna see Anthony Richardson. And then
it's like, are you really happy you drafted anybody in
that offense? If we see Anthony Richardson or the other
part about this, dude, is like this team again going
to like if Daniel Jones is bad and they bring
in a very like did we see Shane Stikeing and

(36:10):
Chris Ballard even make it to this season? Like if
this if this team if Daniel Jones doesn't start off
decent and this team, say this team starts off oh
and four, oh and five, and I'm gonna pull up
their schedule here in a second. But if they start
off bad, does the head coach get fired? Does the
team like go into the dumpster? Like Miami situation? Okay,
let's let's let's talk this out, and I'm gonna, I'm gonna,

(36:32):
I'm gonna I'm gonna give you layups here, and you
tell me how the Colts start the season? Seth all right?
Week one Miami win or loss.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
Probably loss at miamis and yeah, yeah, Denver.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Week two lost, oh and two lost? Yeah, Tennessee Week.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Three on the road or at home?

Speaker 2 (36:51):
They are? They are at or at Tennessee. They're on
the road.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Must say loss. Honestly, I like Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Win three, Rams week.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Four lost, don't care it is.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
Zho and four so uh Raiders. Week five, I'll go
in and say, that's a long Where.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Is that is that?

Speaker 2 (37:06):
In Las Vegas? It's it's actually no, it's at home
for an.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Indy, oh man in Indy. Fine, let's get them, Okay, yeah,
I'll get one.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
So what one one and four? One and four Arizona
week six an Indy, Yeah, in aras you know in Indy.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Oh man, maybe I'll give Indy the win. Give the
Indy Okay to two and.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Four Los Angeles Chargers weeks.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
I don't care what it is.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Give me the Chargers two and five, two and five.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
So if they start off two and five, do you
see Anthony Richardson, how do you see Shane Stikeen and
Chris Bauer fired before we get to week eight?

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Why? I think one hundred percent? Because one, let's not
forget that this entire Ersay family just went through the
tragedy of losing the former owner, Jim or say So,
the children of the Ersay family don't have the attachment
to Chris Ballard Sheen Stiking Company that everyone else does.
That is why I'm so low on Jonathan Taylor in
this entire Colts offense. Like, really, the only person I'm

(38:08):
taking shots on because I just believe in the talent
more than the situation is Tyler Warren. So I'm with
you there, I'm with you. I think it's a great
question for Matunda, but I don't want anything to do
Josh Dowens gets hurt I think he's just a really
good slot wide receiver. Michael Pittman Junior. I think he
has to be in the right offense to really succeed.
So I'm good on the Colts players.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
Man, Michael Pittman is a is a tear like from
an archetype fit with Daniel Jones. He's a terrible fit
with Daniel Jones. Like Daniel Jones is not throwing into
any tight windows or contested situations. Yeah, he's not appen
and if he's doing it, it's probably a pick.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
Yeah. If if I am drafting one of those receivers,
I guess it is Josh Downs more clearly now because
we've seen what Josh Down or Wandale Robinson did with
in the past of someone like Daniel Jones. So yeah,
great question though, mcktunda. We appreciate you, uh bam vam
Branson in the chat saying damn boys with the news
of the Viking shopping for a veteran wide receiver. When

(39:07):
Adam Feeling gets dealt to them, Dewey hashtag coke heads
finally rejoice that he will extend to the levels foretold
by debro also always pay for grill assembly put one
together to myself once Johnny once.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Yeah, bam bams baby, bam bam knows like it's you're
putting a lot of faith in whoever's assembling that, but
still not the thing that I assemble. Although maybe it
doesn't make a lot of common sense, but yes, dude,
like I tweeted this out, it makes so much sense. Man,
Like the Minnesota Vikings have a need. He's not gonna
cost them much Carolina Like people are gonna say, oh,

(39:45):
like as I had Carolina fans and my mentions when
I tweeted this out today, Carolina fans are like, why
would they do that? And hert Bryce s Young, bro, Like,
what's Adam feeling getting you this year? Like, you know
you're not going to the playoffs, You're not winning ten
twelve games. Veteran is blocking. You know he's not gonna
be on this roster for next year. They are still
in evaluation mode. And I know that's Bryce Young, but

(40:07):
it's also you need to see if xavierly Get and
Jalen Cocher can be answers for you this season. At
long term, you know that Adam Thielen is not there.
If you can get a sixth round freaking pick for
Adam Delen. You ship him off to Minnesota. Let the
man go back finish his career where it started. Let
him go to the playoffs. Maybe he gets a deep
playoff run. If JJ is the messiah and the guy

(40:30):
that I think he's gonna be, and it's just a wonderful,
happy ending to a wonderful career for Adam Delen. So
in all parts or pieces, it makes total sense that
Adam Thlen would go back to Minnesota. I think that
should happen. We'll see if it does. But yes, and
Jalen Coker, we trust baby.

Speaker 1 (40:47):
What about a Marty Cooper? Could he get signed here?
You think?

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Do you think of I think it's I think he's
dust dude. I think the reason he has n't been
signed up this point is back nine of his career.
Maybe if we've had more injuries that like in season wise,
he latches on somewhere. But I feel like this is
kind of like the the high end version of kind
of like we just saw with DJHR, like where he
comes in as a cameo and then the team is like, WHOA.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
No, I fat thumbed of Mary Cooper in the Scott
Fish pool this year. So I'm just hoping that baby
I wasn't going. Yeah, I's trying to go for Calvin
Austin and am Maar Cooper was right above him. I
also have to make a confession on I feel it's
a safe space with you, Derek and with Fancy pro Stanley.
So we're talking about grills, right. So the other night,

(41:35):
I think it's like Sunday night, I'm grilling right and
you know, shut down the grill, go in, eat dinner.
The next night, I come out to fire up the
grill and the grill is still on.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
And since this is a confessional, I'm gonna go ahead
and light a candle.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Yes, thank you, thank you. So I come out Monday,
twenty four hours later, the grill is on. I say,
I say to my fiance, did you start the grill
for me? That's really nice of you? Said no, And
I said, oh, I must have just done it earlier
to earlier, like like ten minutes ago, and forgot I
did it. No, I had that thing on for twenty
four hours. I kicked a whole camp profane man, it was.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
Gone bro okay. So on this tangent and this is
the same space. So I will go ahead and admit this.
Right after I bought my first rill, I was trying
to figure out how to light it and do all
those kind of things. So I turned the gas on
and I was like, so is this a lighter? Is
an electric star? And like my add kicked in and
I was kind of like, Okay, I don't know what

(42:29):
do I do next? Do I go get a lighter?
Like I don't right, And then like so like five
to ten, I pull out the instruction manual and I
was like, well, I don't know, well, I don't know.
I don't know. And so five or ten minutes later,
it's gone by. The gas has been seeping out and
this is one of the ones with the wood and
so like it was trapped under there. I find the

(42:50):
electric start and I was like, oh, well, there that's
the answer. Didn't realize it had been going for like
ten to fifteen minutes under there. I pressed the electric
star and he goes boom, Like the hood goes and
like falls back down. Flames shoot out from the side
and you can hear everything. My wife is in the kitchen.
She comes out, She's like, what did you do? Like

(43:13):
like trying to like proof of life. Am I still alive?
And I was like, it's fine, I'm still alive. The
Gorilla's lit. I'm not dead, but I am an idiot.
I am an idiot.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
It's okay. Oh man, we could have lost Deepro before
it even got started, before the the takes even came
lost me.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Yeah, I know, man, it's I mean, just keep it
a real here. I was like, and it's one of
those moments where you look back in life and you
were like, oh, good lord, I was so dumb.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Yes, so dumb, so dumb I was.

Speaker 2 (43:45):
It's like I was too old to be that dumb.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
Like, oh my gosh, I love it. It is safe space.
You guys can let us go down in the chap below.
Any of your confessionals want to.

Speaker 2 (44:00):
Do you see, that's where the heroin. I love it.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
I love it all right, we're we're gonna do. Just
give me one one word for a couple of these
as we round out there. Derek Up, would you trade
a chance for Chase Brown? Straight up? I wouldn't. I
want to done? You would do that?

Speaker 2 (44:20):
I'm done?

Speaker 1 (44:20):
I would do it?

Speaker 2 (44:21):
Okay, Yeah, where I'm at with that team?

Speaker 1 (44:23):
What are your thoughts on Dalvin Cook. I think Collins
means h James Cook. Do you think the Holden will
hurt him?

Speaker 2 (44:31):
No? Not now.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
I think he has enough time to get up. I
think he's you know he and also I did as
well and like the Holden too. Man, he he was
practicing here and there is like he would practice a
couple of days out a couple of days. So Terry McLaurin,
that's a different question. I'm worried there, but that's a
different program here. How many games will Flaco play? Uh?
I am staying clear of him? Is Nick Nick saying?

(44:55):
What do you think, Derek? How long do you think
Flacco gets a leash? Because it could be gun slinging
Flacco for a weeks at least, right, yeah, ws there
by WinCE their bye week. I think that's probably their bye.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
Week is week nine. He's not making at the Bible,
don't think new So their schedule is Cincinnati, Baltimore, Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota, Pittsburgh.
They're starting off h to five, so I think you're
gonna see somebody making starts and then but then we
have Pittsburgh in week six. I think you're gonna see
a different quarterback starting by week seven places because they

(45:26):
get Miami in week seven, so that's more of a
layup start, like you have time to kind of like
so their bye week is week nine, they have Miami
and New England. Those are not like incredibly terrible matchups,
and then you go into the bye week to kind
of really kind of firm up who's gonna be the quarterback.
So I think Flacco is out of the starting job
by week seven. By week seven, I think somebody else

(45:48):
is starting.

Speaker 1 (45:48):
Okay, we got Optimus asking taking a BUCA in the fifth,
sixth round. Crazy. I right now have him as a
back end six round pick in my overall player ranking,
So I don't think it's crazy, and I think that's
probably where you're gonna have to take him if you're
in a league with some sharp managers. Debro Uh yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
I mean, I'm I'm right with you. I've got him
at sixty eight, okay, and I could push that up
to and I'm updating this live because I just updated
the Abukah rank before updating this live right now. Yeah,
I'm moving him all the way up to sixty five.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
So I'm with you. I'm with you. I think round
five round six is the conversation, Let's.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
Go baby, does a Mecca become the second highest Bucks
wide receiver and value with the Macmillan News hundred percent.
He was already already there for math, so yeah, clear path, yep,
one hundred percent. Agreed with you there. Also wanted to
shout out Vanessa again for gifting us one subscriber. We
really appreciate that sub Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (46:47):
Ben Rock coming in man, that's love it, love it,
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
And justin first time chatter hanging out with us as well,
asking keep her question, I need help. Poka Nakua in
the seventh, Lad McConkey in the ninth, Jane Daniels in
the eleventh. I kept Puka last year, so it could
only keep him one more year, only keep one justin
My question to you is, obviously I imagine this.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
Is the wise of the league.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
Yeah, and one quarterback. I'm thinking too right here, if
you got Jayden in the eleventh last year, you had
to be one quarterback.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
So for me, I guess you mean, what do you
This is a close Daniels, You're keep im keeping keeping, Daniels,
I'm keeping. Well, here's the thing you can only keep
Poka for one more year. Yeah, and he's still a
third getting rid of him after this year and the
Stafford news and stuff like that, that could blow up.
Like if you got Jayden for this year and next year,

(47:36):
you know you're gonna have a top five quarterback. Plus
it's the best value out of the right right, it's
Jane Daniels for me.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Yeah. Yeah, if this is a ten or twelve team,
I'd be comfortable with Jane Daniels as well, even though
like I like keeping the positional players.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Well, you know you already got quarterback take so you
blowed up and everything else. Don't draft a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (47:56):

into shadow everyone who's tuning in. Uh, we love chatting

and bathroom stalls.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Don't do that. Yes, yes, one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
