Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is out of bounds.
As b Joey p with my best friend Scott Bogman.
It's all of you hanging out here on our twitch
twitch dot tv Slash Fantasy Pros. That's the place to be,
or you're watching on demand on our YouTube channel subscribed
to either because that's where good times happen. Scott Bogman,
I are here. The Welsh is not. The Welsh is
not having a good time. He caught the flu that's

(00:22):
been going around this holiday season. Not good. I guess
he's got.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
The Niner flu either, like the actual real flu.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yes, yes, he's got day Quill and Nikil in his stocking.
I think this year. That's what's going on. So a
speedy recovery to our good pal of the Welsh and
hopefully he'll be back later in the week. But Scott Bogman,
certainly an eventful week seventeen. You weren't the only Steeler
fan that I know that told me before the Steelers
game that the Steelers were going to lose to the
Cleveland Browns and lose they did. Were you frustrated that

(00:51):
Kenneth Gainwell was open on that last play and he
didn't even see him.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Of course, Yeah, why are we throwing? MVS has no hands,
he's handless, handless, And I also thought that might have
been PI at the end. But I agree you plained
about calls. You know, you get some, you don't get some.
And after last week, you know he can't expect to
be bailed out two weeks in a row. So, you know,
just horrible, horrific, terrible game planning from Arthur Smith. Miles

(01:19):
Garrett was probably right when he said, hey, look, they
were so concerned with me not getting a sack that
they lost the game, which you know, is absurd to
lose to Cleveland, specifically to be losing in Cleveland every
game they tied, one game in Cleveland since Ben Roethlisberger
has retired, can't win in Cleveland, which is just unbelievable

(01:40):
because he absolutely owned the state of Ohio. So sick
of this cing, of this offense. Sick Aaron Rodgers. I
am also sick with the Steelers flu so.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Well, I am sick of losing in championships. I lost
to you two weeks ago by Pukaku is a massive game,
and then I lost the flexing Championship to Derrick Henry yesterday,
and that was very frustrating because I would have won
probably had Dereck Henry now had four touchdowns. But what
an incredible performance.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
No, no is Joe gone.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Oh no, I see me, I hear me? Are you
are you gaslighting you promos?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Your Yeah? Your internet is just as good as your
championship teams. Yeah it is.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Well, I'm saying I lost to Derrick Henry this week
in the Flex League Championship. Very upset about.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
That that I didn't make it to Flex Championship, even
though I was first in my league by a million miles,
I did not make it to the championship. And thank
god Welsh has the flu because I lost to him
in our home league two. Unless Matthew Stafford has sixty
points tonight, if that happens, that could have happened.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
But what a concept. Hand the ball to Dereck Henry
in December and good things happen.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Hey, look at that.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
What a shocker here that you get all that going
on there, But you know, not the only thing going on. Obviously,
there was a lot of historical things happening yesterday to
Trey McBride. One hundred and seven receptions for a tight end,
the most ever there. I saw some fun facts too.
They're just kind of flying in there. You know. The
Jets lead receiver is this year.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Ooh, it's got to be bresall right.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
It's not. It's still Garrett Wilson, but he hasn't caught
a ball since October twelve.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Oh my god, Oh Lordie. And I tell you what
you know, if you want to get down to the
bottom of the barrel, this is you know, our point
last week that we were talking about on this show
was that we need two bye weeks. And it's pretty obvious.
Look at what Max Rosmer did even though they won,
and Chris Oladokin sixty six yards like these this is

(03:39):
what happens when you don't have enough bye weeks and
these injuries start to pile up at the premiere position
in the NFL. It's not all Mac Jones is great
and he's backing up Rock Party. A lot of it is. Well,
Gardner Minshew's hurt. We're down to Chris Olidoakin, who's never
had a start in the NFL. We're down to you know,
old Ducin whoever.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
It is just I mean, get Cannie pick it again
this week too. It's been a smith And shout out
to Larne who beat me in Flex League. He had
a very interesting draft. He went heavy RB and then
just took a bunch of like crap quarterbacks. And you
know what, that was the strategy this year because you
just had a bunch of quarterbacks to choose from. None
of them were great, but it was just you know,

(04:21):
that's the twenty twenty five hit was just you know,
so many quarterbacks coming in and out at all times.
But look, you know, looking back on the Week two,
the one thing that silver lining for me was watching
Drake May obliterate the Jets, because that's always fun for me.
I haven't seen a good ass kicking of the Jets
like that from the Patriots in a while. That magnitude,
I that's old school kind of stuff, and I loved it.

(04:42):
And I gotta say, like, you know, the Giants are fighting.
Unfortunately they shouldn't have been like they're going, you know,
they're trying to win. The Jets look like they just
had no plan. They like, I don't think Aaron Glenn's
gonna get past this one year. I think that you
look at even the Giants, they're fighting. You look at
the Tennessee Titans fighting.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Blame Glenn for the roster that they have.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I blame Aaron Glenn for the effort I think that
you're getting and the game plan that you're getting. And
I understand the roster is no good. I get that,
but the Titans roster is not great. You know, you
look around the league. There's a lot of rosters right
now that aren't great or we really have destroyed them too.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I don't I don't know that I disagree that Aaron
Glenn hasn't coached twell this year, but I do overall
disagree with bringing in a guy with a horrific roster
that you know is going to be bad and then saying, well,
you're fired because we didn't have a good record, right Like,
I think, if you're gonna hire someone for a position

(05:36):
and a team that's rebuilding like this, you got to
give him three seasons. That's my kind of like, give
him three and if you want to say, hey, look
this didn't work even one and a half. If they're
having the same effort with a lot of changes next
year and they start out oh to eight or one
in six or whatever, it just looks just as miserable

(05:56):
as it did this year, and you spend a lot
of money and made improvement, then yeah, get rid of them.
But you just cannot expect anybody. Yeah, I don't care
if you're Vince Lombardi. You're not winning with this roster.
It's awful. It is so I I I think you
might be right, but I just disagree with that complete impatience.
If you hired the guy, you got to give him

(06:18):
the legs to kind of see it through for at
least a couple of seasons.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Unless you don't think the person is capable of being
a head coach, in which case you know that that's
true or a difficult thing. I think you get sometimes
where we take a chance on a guy who's a coordinator,
and sometimes it just like this guy is not head coach.
But Josh, let me say, this coordinator not a good
head coach.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Very true, Arthur Smith, same thing. You know, Like, I
just argue he's not good at either, but you can
I would argue I would make that argument now as well.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
But uh.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
So the person that hires Aaron Glenn, then if you
only give him a year and you go, yeah, we
were wrong about this. Who's hiring this guy? That person
needs to go to so clean house completely at that point. So,
oh yeah, I just I'm obviously discussed it today.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Yes, you're a happy look at least the Welsh isn't
here too rant and rave about that's the forty nine
ers performance and all the rock party dancing that went.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
On last night.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
There's a lot of rock party dancing on. How I
feel about it. I'm looking forward to the Seattle.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
They're the number one seed in the NFC.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, but we all knew they had a soft schedule
and we all knew that, and we're gonna have a
lot of factor fictions coming up. So I want everybody
who's in the chat, if you have a Factor fiction,
drop him. We're gona do him at the end of
the show. But one of the factor fictions seth are
a resident producer and Bears fan Factor fiction. The Bears
should be in the conversation for best team in the NFC.
I don't know. I don't think they are in that conversation.
To me, I don't. I mean, I think all three

(07:41):
teams in the NFC West are better than the Bears.
If you ask me, if you really hold my feet.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Who's the best team in the NFC?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Then I still say it's the Rams.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
It's the Rams.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
I still think it's the Rams when healthy. I think
if everybody's healthy and right for the Rams and DeVante
Adams is on that field along with them, I think
they have the best head coach. They have the most
deasoned veteran quarterback, quarterback that's won a Super Bowl. I
always feel like Kyle Shanahan will always be Kyle Shanahan
and get too cute in the wrong moments. Seattle is
very impressive, but I think they're a little untested. You know,

(08:10):
for all the Eagles nonsense, the Eagles are a team
that still finds ways to win games. Maybe it's luck.
I don't know. I mean, we could look around and
have that discussion. But I want to give credit to
the Bears. And Caleb has played much better here in
this last stretch in December, so I want to give
him some credit because I've been tough on him. But
do you think the Bears are the best team of

(08:31):
the NFC.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
No, but I don't. I think you might be right.
It could be the Rams, but I don't think it's
by a wide margin. At all. I think they're all
in the same bucket. I think you put the Seahawks, Rams, Eagles,
and Niners in the same bucket. I think those are
the teams playing for your NFC title. In the AFC,
I mean, I think it's you know, the Patriots, Broncos.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
I think Patriots. I don't fear the Buffalo bill. I
think the Patriots. Look Drake Mayis, and I know it's
easy to do what he did against the Jets, but
when you have more touchdown passes than incompletions of a game,
that that is just like it was like a clinic
of quarterback play, and he didn't have a lot of
the other weapons he's usually having to. So I mean,
right now, I don't know if anybody's playing as good.

(09:18):
I will say this Texan scare me and the Jaguar
scare me. Those are two teams that I think are
kind of feeling that underdog spirit a little bit, like
nobody sees his coming. They're very intriguing to me. Who
do you think is the best team in the AFC
right now?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
If he had to bet, If I had to pick
right now, it's the Pats.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
It is, Okay, I know that's hard for you to
say too. That's kinda I.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Hate it, especially in front of you a worse. I
despise it. So but I would have to say that
right now, they've been playing great. I mean, you talked
about a soft schedule. I think I think the Patriots
have the easiest schedule in the NFL this year, don't they?
Because they played what what did they finished last year?
Were they last?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
They were last in division? Yeah, but there are many.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
So you play last play schedule the horrible division. I mean, yeah,
the Dolphins twice, the Jets twice is pathetic. You know,
It's same thing with Pittsburgh, Gainst, Cleveland, Sincy. But uh,
that's pathetic. And I think, you know, I it was
something like how many how many above five hundred teams

(10:21):
have the pat speed.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Not a lot, but you know they can only play
who they put in front of you.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
And of course, yeah, I'm on every college.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
No, and they've won every single road game, you know.
I Mean that's the other thing too.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Raiders, Dolphins, Steelers, Panthers, Bills, Saints, Titans, Browns, Falcons, Bucks, Jets, Bengals, Giants, Bills, Ravens, Jets.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
You can argue that they're untested, and that's not a
bad argument, but my argument back is going to be,
you know, look, they beat everybody to put in front
of them. They won all these road games, which is
hard to do, especially with a young quarterback. And I
just think the culture of what they put together is
really interesting. Now we have Sunday Night Football coming up

(11:02):
with the Ravens and the Steelers coming up. Before we
get to that game, in Bogman's thoughts on that game,
because I know that's a big one, I want to
also ask this question, if whoever loses that game, is
that coach done there in their respective plays?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
I think yes, first of all, And I was talking
with one of my ITL guys who is a huge
Ravens fan, and we were like texting back and forth.
When we text back like almost the exact same time,
like this is a loser leaves town match. I feel
like between.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
It does feel as coaches.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
But I was talking with Seth before we jumped on
here Live, and I think the Steelers will trade Mike Tomlin.
I don't think you can fire Mike Tomlin when the
Cleveland job is probably going to come open, the Sincy
job is probably going to come open as well. You
don't want to open the Giants. I think a great
job the Giants. I think the Bucks could fire Todd Bowles.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Think they're in that.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
That's where he came from. He was the defensive backs
coach for the Bucks when the Steelers hired him, so
or the DC coming back from you know, the deep
beat he had started.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Didn't he start his career with the Vikings if memory
serves Tomlin.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
I believe so, Yeah, University of Cincinnati very first, but yes, ye, yeah, yeah,
I think I think that's where he knew Brian Floores
from from the Vikings. So with Tampa we have when
the Steelers hired him, but I think they trade him,
so I think the Giants, I think Tampa.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
I think there's a couple other jobs that might come
open as well where you trade him and you get
a pickback because he is under contract. So I think
that that is something that would end up happening if
they do decide to part ways with him, which the
Steelers traditionally don't do and they don't really care about
fan input on the head coach shop. Right, and Matt
Canada was first coordinator they fired in season since the sixties,

(12:51):
so firing coaches just not really in more popes, since
you know that's right, nineteen sixty twice, the Steelers head
coaches twice as many popes, I believe, and that jobs
for life while you die.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
There it is there, it is. Most of those popes
also younger than Pete Carroll I believe as well. Let's
also talk about, you know, the predisposed nature of the
inevitable nine and eight season that we thought that the
Steelers would end up being, because they are right now
very close to securing that. Here's Mike Tumlin interviewed about that.
After the game. I missed Bill Hater on SNL. God,

(13:29):
he's so good on it. That one that one catch
used to do with the puppet from Grenada. You ever
see that one an SNL person, But that that weird
like puppet, everyone's like in a room together. They're all
the different puppets and they're different personalities. Is like a
workshops I was.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Watching live, the one where he's like.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
All the California, Yeah, yeah, to take the four or
four down to Tarziana, make it, make it right by
the Del Taco, Get out of here. Devin.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
I love that you had to hear Devin. Yeah, I
h a man. Yeah, it is incredibly frustrating. And those
are the memes that I've seen more than any or
the nine and eight, the AI of you know, Mike
Tomlin giv me a speech of we got a shot
to go nine to eight guys, and then the Steelers
subreddit all saying like, hey, look, this guy just went

(14:21):
on vacation. He got to nine wins. His job is done.
It's cruising to the end of the year at this point.
So yeah, man, it is. It's incredibly frustrating, specifically when
it looked like this team was kind of picking up right.
But I think if DK is in the game, they win.
He catches that ball that MVS probably got interfered on

(14:42):
at the end. But again, you can't get bailed out
two weeks in a row, so just just gross. Let's
talk about anything else.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
But the let's help Beck about it. I'm in the
championship Week eighteen. Yes you should be crying because Week
eighteen is a horrible thing, Beck, and then nobody should
be playing Week eighteen for championships. Would you guys recommend
dart or Burrow quarterback this week? I mean, it's pretty
hard to sit Joe Burrow. I know the upside of Dart,
and I get what that is. But he is playing
the Browns. They are at home with the Giants are
getting the Cowboys. I understand that matchup is better Bogs.

(15:11):
Which way would you go?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
I'm probably going Burrow here. Like you said, it's hard
to sit him. He looks really good right now. It
is against Cleveland. He'll probably get sacked and Miles Garrett's
gonna break the record anyway. But you know that's it's
really really hard to sit Burrow right now. And I
think you know, the slightest thing happens to Jackson Dart

(15:33):
and he gets benched in Jamis is in the game,
so or Russell whoever.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
And look the Week eighteen championship. I just don't. It's
not like it's news either. We always talk about this,
you know, for years and years. It's like, why would
you want to put all that effort in this summer
of studying. Then you do your drafts, then you do
all the waiver wires and the trades, the lineups, all
the stuff you have to deal with the whole season,
only to let it end up becoming a time where

(15:58):
you're gonna not even know if your best player are
playing necessarily because he's sitting who and who's taking the
rest of the year off, And that's very frustrating. I mean,
any league you're in, goes go check before you started,
like to make sure the championship is not week eighteen,
because it is brutal. And to that point too, I
don't like the playoffs starting a week fourteen when there's
bye weeks. I also think that's a big load of nonsense.

(16:18):
I don't like that at all. So you gotta figure
out a more clever playoff structure if you're gonna have
bigger leagues. And I understand that's part of that thing.
If you expand the league, you want to have more
weeks of play. I get all that, But the way
the NFL structured right now, you cannot be playing championships
in a week eighteen. It's a terrible idea.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
It's just it's awful. Yeah, yeah, look, I know some
people you probably didn't set up your league that way.
That's just whoever the commissioner was did it. But you
gotta let them know, like, we cannot be playing these
in week eighteen. James loves my terrible decision.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
My cool Italia hoodie. Don't. I don't even know where
I got this. I gotta be honest with you. If
I knew, I would tell you.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
I got it from a guy I know, a guy
I know.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
A guy brought over is gonna be nice. All right,
let's talk a little bit about some of our takeaways
from last week. My takeaway is the Bucks after fire
Todd Bowles. I've had it with the Buccaneers. They can't
win a game. I understand they're playing hurt. I get it,
like Baker Mayfield is not one hundred percent. I've had
it with the Panthers. I've had I want I want

(17:18):
to write in you know how you have to write
in votes. I want to write and vote the Saints
for the playoffs for that division because I don't think
either of those teams will serve it. But if Tyler
Shuck continues to throw three, I.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Don't want to rankings.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
I would want to go to points scored? Can I
go to some other tiebreaker?

Speaker 2 (17:33):
You think it's a barrel worms right now? Go to rankings?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Man.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
But let's think about what's happening in college football right now.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
But think about this for a second, if New Orleans
has started Shuck out of the gate, maybe they might
be in this thing. I think Kellen Moore's dot a
phenomenal job with the Saints. With Tyler Shuck, who I
know a lot of us, he was like on the
butt of jokes. He's not anymore. He looks like the
quarterback of the future. Olave is a top ten Fantasy
wide receiver. Taysom Hill at the game of his life
two weeks ago and then last his past sun I

(18:00):
did zero, which has got to be so frustrating. And
I picked him up in the league and I took me.
I kept I Bogs. I had him in and out
of that lineup maybe ten times, and then eventually was
like Taysom Hill. I was like, I can't start Taysom Hill.
I'm gonna start Bretton Strange instead. It didn't end up
mattering anyway, but my god, like the Saints have figured
it out. And I hate these NFC South teams. The

(18:20):
rest of them they can go screw. I don't want
either the Panthers or the Buccaneers in the playoffs. I
think it's gonna be the Panthers at the end of
the day. Bogs What are your thoughts on that whole situation?

Speaker 2 (18:29):
Oh, man, I I won't bet against the Bucks, right like,
I think it's still.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
If you have, you've been winning money every week.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
That's true. But but I guess what I should say is,
I'm not betting on the Panthers. It's probably a little
bit more accurate.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
But well, it is Baker Mayfield at home.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
It does favorite like whoever wins this game is getting
drummed in the first round, right like that is happening.
Both these teams are backing in. Neither one of them
is playing their best football or at their peak. And
we thought, okay, hey, look the Bucks look good and
they've been beat up all year, let's see them get healthy. Well,
everybody butt Baker, I feel like is healthy now and

(19:08):
he's the engine, and if he is working at less
than one hundred percent, the whole offense is going to implode.
And that is what has been happening. So I think maybe,
you know, if maybe he gets one hundred percent healthy
before the playoffs, they can make a nice run. Defense
has been playing awful as well. So I just don't
really buy into either one of these teams. I think

(19:29):
the Bucks are the better team, so I'll pick them.
But whoever wins is getting smoked like the Steelers in
the first round.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
All right, m Bogs, give me your takeaway from week seventeen.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
My takeaways are still time to go nine to eight.
So obviously just a disgusting like because I thought, okay, hey,
look maybe the Steelers are peaking. We just beat Detroit, right,
this is this is a great run that's been happening here. Which,
by the way, you didn't highlight my baker on three
to one also got him. I did get all of these.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Oh so we got updated I did not really.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
No big deal, but and add two extra points for
me since I got all three the first person.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Oh my god, so it doesn't but tell seven moment dated,
it's got nineteen points for Bogs now, oh god, horrible.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
The moment for me was Chase Young just ripping the
ball out of Kim Ward's hands. That was crazy, just
took the ball away from him and then carried it
like a loaf of bread into the end zone. I
was like, man, if anybody gets behind him, that ball
is gonna come out. And nobody caught up to him. So, uh,
great moment there for the Saints. But yeah, man, my

(20:43):
takeaway is still time to go nine and eight for Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Yeah, certainly. My favorite moment actually was the misst we're blocked.
I guess you would say extra point from that Buffalo
game because you could feel the air go out of
the balloon a little bit. And then even when they
scored that touchdown at the end, I was like, I
just I'm just not buying it. I'm just not buying
the buffle of are goning this football game. I don't
know what it was the whole time, only somehow the
Eagles are going to find a way to win this

(21:08):
football game, even though maybe they shouldn't and they might not.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
It was thirteen twelve. Is that Scoregami?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Uh? Yeah, thirteen twelve, That's what it was at the
end of the day.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Yeah, I just don't know that I've ever I ever
remember a thirteen twelve game.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
It's hard to do.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
I'm sure it's happened, it's hard to do.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
So, I mean, I know you remember a thirteen to
six game because that also happened on Sunday. Miles Garrett
hasn't quite gotten his sack yet too, which I'm kind
of perturbed about. Here, like, what are we.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Doing they play Cincy?

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Oh, well that's definitely coming. But I thought we'd have
it by now.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
I mean I think we've I mean the reason you didn't,
that's why the Steelers lost because you're so concerned with
stupid Miles Garrett getting his sack against Aaron Rodgers has
not hurt his ego.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Well, that was actually my factor fiction. So factor fiction.
That is true. That well, Miles Garrett said after the
press conference, or yeah, say.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
It's one hundred absolutely, It's not the only reason they lost.
The reason they lost is no DK, terrible offensive game plan,
one hundred percent awful, you know, and one broken play
really the herald fan in touchdown which he got hurt on,
and then their whole offense imploded after that play. That
was the entire game, was that busted play where Kyle

(22:20):
Dugger had no idea where the ball was and Fannon
caught it and rolled it in the end zone and
then ended up leaving. So that ended up being the
whole game because the Steelers can move the damn ball.
So terrible offensive game plan No DK obviously was a
killer for this offense. They've been trying to get that
second wide receiver all year just has not worked. So

(22:41):
uh just I'm disgusted with this team right now.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Messer Grimm's got a factor fiction here. Factor fiction. Every
AFC North coach gets fired, I'm gonna say.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
I think the winner of the game on Sunday doesn't.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
But everybody else, like you could have three out of four,
you know.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
I'll say this. Tomlin also is not getting fired. They're
either parting mutually, right or he gets traded.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Some heavy air quotes there. I like this one from
Money Station factor fiction. Texans will go further in the
playoffs than the Jags. What do you think That defense
is good?

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Man?

Speaker 1 (23:14):
That defense is real good? He say, Fact, the Texans
go first.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
I'm gonna say fiction. They just don't have enough offense
right now.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
I'm gonna say fact because they've been to the playoffs
a couple times now, like this is not new to them.
This will be three years in a row. So where
the Jags are like, well, you know, they're the Jags,
Like this is all new and fresh and all of
a sudden, I think there's a different level that you're
gonna have to kind of bring yourself up to as
a team and maybe they're capable of it, but I
know the Texans are and I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
It was new and fresh for Washington last year and
they went to the NFC title game.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
That's smoked by Philadelphia eventually.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
But I mean, Houston plays the Patriots and they have
a bad game, they get smoked.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Oh, Houston could absolutely be the Patriots. It's no doubt.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
I know they can. But I'm saying like that offense
just does not inspire any confidence in They had those
two big plays against the Chargers and after that they
got stopped, so you know they're relying on big plays
right now. I thought, hey, look CJ. Stroud looks pretty good.
Second half was miserable. So just the the offense for
Houston is a massive question right now.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Here's another one. In factor fiction, we see Max Crosby
or Miles Garrett get traded.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Miles Garrett is absolutely not getting traded. Max Crosby is
going to be such a cry baby that he will
absolutely get traded.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
And for trying to tank to get the quarterback like
they're right, the Giants, I think screwed up here, But
I understand why the Giants feel like they already have
their franchise quarterbacks, so they're gonna have a high pick
in the draft. They don't care. They're trying to win
football games. That's fine.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I I agree with you that they should be tanking.
It's a smart thing to do. But I also like,
if you are, if you are a coach, can you
look Max Crosby in the eye when he's saying I
want to play, I'm healthy, and say no, you can't play.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
That's the problem. He's gonna be gone and you will
give them more draft and you know what, it's probably
for the best. You knows, he is not a spring
chicken anymore. Right, I think it's probably now's the time
to remake this whole organization. Here. You have Gent, you
have Bowers, you have a couple interesting pieces. I do
think it's time to look ahead to the future here,
and I don't think the future should be Pete Carrol either.

(25:16):
I think that was a terrible movement. It happened. But
Fernando Mendoza conversations with Pete Carroll I'm here for because
I can't imagine how much positivity and oh shucks and
g whiz like you could possibly get into one conversation
between those two human beings. I would like that one
factor fiction. Pooka is number one draft pick and Cook
follows a second pick. I think that's fiction. I love

(25:37):
James Cook. I got all the Cook, all the Travis Atn,
all the misfit running backs that nobody wanted. I drafted.
Boggs knows this, and I was very vocal about it
going into the air. But Pooka being number one is
tricky because I'm gonna say fiction on that one. Also
because I don't think effort comes back JSN, JSN. I
think Chase depending on Carlson's back.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Yeah, where does Jefferson go.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
It depends on the QB situation, what they do if
they keep McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
If it's McCarthy, let's let's just call it McCarthy.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
He's going to be down end of the first I
was gonna say ten, eleven to twelve.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
I think I think he's gonna be a deal.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
I agree. I agree, Yeah, has on Sin's second round
there maybe. I mean he could an attend team league,
he could float there. It's very possible. And and you know,
factor fiction. The days of taking early QB are over.
I'm gonna say fiction on this because this was a
bad year for the health of some of those quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
But you're gonna get the over correction this year for
sure though.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Yeah. Absolutely, And I think what's interesting in the super
flex leagues, look, this year the strategy of punting and
taking quarterbacks in bulk was the way to go. But
that nobody could have foretold that. But I don't think
they're over completely. But I think the thing you're always
looking for is this year was Dak Prescott and Drake
may right, those were the two guys we were very

(26:57):
vocal about, like, hey, there's guys later that you could take.
There gonna be good. It's funny we're talking about Matthew Staffords,
MVP Matthew Stafford. People didn't want to touch him in
any draft, super Flex or other because people would't think
it was gonna play. His back was so bad all
these things.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Was falling knife.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, I mean age, what a huge difference. Another factor
of fiction from James here, Luther Burdens sur passes room
with Dunsay in the pecking order. Well, Luther Burden's hurt
too right now, So.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Well, he looked good last night. Though I'll say I'll
say fiction, but I think that I think that's gonna
be a mix, right. I think it's not gonna be like, hey,
this is Jefferson. You know, I don't think either one
of them is him, but I do think they're both
really good, so I think it is gonna flip between

(27:41):
both of them.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Sorry factor fiction. New England knocked out in the first
round of the playoffs. I'm gonna say fiction, you know why,
because they're gonna have a first round by ha ha ha.
Denver loses to the Chargers. New England gets the bye.
I don't think so. I mean, it would have surprised
me if a team like Houston knocked him out now,
but I'm gonna say no, there's something about that coach
and a quarterback that the poise of Drake May is

(28:03):
very special. He is unrattled by anything, he is unfazed
by anything. He seems so confident, so far beyond his years.
And I know it's like a stroke fest here, but like,
if the Drake May was playing for the Jaguars, I'd
say this. If Drake May was playing for the Titans,
I'd say this, Drake May is what you want your
kids who are learning to play quarterback to play quarterback
like that's that's and I can't imagine how good.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
I mean, I think you're going a little far with it,
but uh yeah, he's great. He is really good. And
I also don't think they get knocked out of the
first round. Is it possible. Absolutely, Like you said, there
are definitely scenarios where you could see it, and I
kind of hope for it, but uh, you know, I
don't think we will see it.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Axel might have the best factor fiction of the year
if I win enough fantasy championships, so Brina Carpenter will
come looking for me. Factor fiction fact. I mean, nothing
excites a woman more than a guy who's got multiple
fantasy football championships. I think we all know that, right, right,
I mean that should be on your Tinder profile, right,
it's your point. Here's another one too, factor fiction. Whatever's
a consensus number one pick should be avoided next year.

(29:08):
It's been a bust since Le'Veon pail held and that
is interesting too. You know, we always go back and
look at the number ones, and I think we was
since nineteen eighty four. I think for the eighty four
I think was the John Lway draft. Am I remembering
that correctly? Right? Or is it eighty two account of
I was one. Right, since then or since the modern
day NFL draft, I think there's something weird, Like there's

(29:30):
only been six NFL Hall of Famers selected number one overall,
you know, like that is really it's wild. I'm going
to go through that list. But do you think this
year's number one is a lock?

Speaker 2 (29:44):
I mean I think that we think number the number
one player is a consensus every year almost so when
it's not, I feel like it's more confusing. I do
think that this year could be one of those years
because I think a lot of people are just gonna
go ahead and put CMC at number one, right, which
is not a bad strategy. And by the way, what

(30:05):
are they giving out in Germany. Let's all go get it.
This dude is stayed healthy all year. Let's all go
whatever that is, let's sign up for it and go
let's go get it.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
But uh so, here you go. I got it here.
Nineteen eighty three John Elway, I was closed eighty four,
eighty two is in the middle. Eighty three John Elway
gets selected. Buy the Baltimore Colt. It's okay. Hall of Famer.
Irving Friar was the next year. Not Bruce Smith hall
of famer obviously, but.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
This is fantasy. This is fantasy number one overall.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
No, no, no, no, no, I'm talking about yeah, but
you know, no, I'm talking about like just NFL Draft
number one thoughty we talking.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
About I understand. But the question is, oh no, because
they were.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
No, they were if it was fantasy and I mistook that,
I apologize, but I would say that.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah, he's saying it's been a buckle Bell held out
because Leveon Bell was the number one pick back.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Right, Levan Bell was number one pick of the draft.
That's my bad. You know. Since then it's been spotty
because there were couple year when Toyo Brown was there.
But it's funny. Just but if fantasy managers feel bad
about getting it wrong, imagine how NFL executives feel about
getting it wrong.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Oh yeah, because.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Bo Jackson obviously he never played for the Buccaneers, but
not a Hall of famer, Vinnie Testa, Verdi, Andre Bruce,
then Troy Yikman, Okay, hall of famer there, Jeff George Russell, Mariland,
Steve Edmond, Drew bled So, Dan Wilkinson, Kajohna Carter, Kashawn
Keyshawn Johnson, excuse me, Orlando Pace Hall of Famer, Peyton
Manning Hall of Famer. Then you get this stretch here
from ninety nine Ready, Tim Couch, Courtney Brown, Michael Vick,

(31:24):
David Carr, Carson Palmer, Eli Manning probably will be in
the Hall of Fame. I think I think he will be,
Alex Smith, Mario Williams, JaMarcus Russell, Jake Long, Matthew Stafford
probably will be in the Hall of Fame, Sam Bradford,
Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Eric Fisher, David On Clowney, Jamis Winston,
Miles Jared Goff, Miles Garrett, probably will be in the
Hall of Fame, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence,

(31:46):
and then you got Walker, Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, and
Cam Warred so very early in those But I mean,
think about it. Every year you get the entire crop
of NFL prospects, how often you can't hit a Hall
of Famer. It's nuts, It's.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Yeah. I mean, making the Hall of Fame is tough.
You know what you want is you want? I think
a lot of the times with the number one overall
pick too teams are taking upside over floor, which you
probably should. If your team is bad enough to be
picking number one overall, you probably should be taking upside

(32:21):
over floor because you want your team to improve as
much as it possibly can. Uh, but you know some
of those picks were for floor and you still didn't
get it with offensive linemen and stuff like that. So
it's just it's a tough job. It's honestly, I think
most picks are close to fifty to fifty, and the
deeper you get in the draft, the harder it is.
So and number one.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Next year is definitely up for conversation. I mean, you
could be CMC again when you can end up going
to the top of it.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
That's risky pool JSN CMC we were going through before.
You know, there's a I think it's going to be
a you know, a bunch of different guys that people
are looking at number one overall. I don't know that
there will be a clear cut consensus unless.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Johnson Taylor for the first eight weeks of the season.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Right, that's true. But who's gonna be quarterback for the
Colts next year? Because uh, we're not making it. Was
not Daniel Jones with this Achilles. Is it gonna be
Philip Rivers again? Are you gonna go to a rich Is?
Has he improved enough for you to trust him?

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (33:20):
Probably mister outside higher right now.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Talk about that. I heard a lot of buzz in
the last couple of weeks, people thinking that Malik Willis
is gonna be somebody in the offseason. Teams are gonna
go outter.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
He should be. He's looked great and he's a free agent. Yeah,
he's gonna There's gonna be a lot of Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
There's gonna be a lot of guys, uh that you're
gonna see Retroy quarterback City, Yours, Kirk Cousin, somewhere else.
You're a lot of everybody's gonna be out and about
this year. I got one more factor fiction free box
factor fiction setle Seahawks are the best team in the NFC.
Are they the most complete team?

Speaker 2 (33:53):
They're their most complete? I'll say fact I it's it's
they're one of the four. There's four teams in the
NFC that I think can come out this year. We
went through them. You know, the Rams, the the Seahawks,
the Bears, and the Niners. I think those are the teams.
Do you want to put the Eagles in there? I

(34:14):
think the Eagles are too beat up right now.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
No, I don't. But like I look at the age
factor of the Rams as their big deficit, I look
at the forty nine Ers defense as being a huge deficit.
It's not healthy and it's not good.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Not with Sam Donald. Have you watched Sam Donald this year?
He's been great?

Speaker 1 (34:29):
No, what I'm saying the Niners I'm saying before No, No.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
I'm sorry, I better call Bob. Here is saying not
with Sam Donald.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
I be good a year Sam Donald's. They're number one
seed right now. So you can't take seants at Sam Donald. Now,
if he collapses in this game the way he collapsed
at the end of last year. Now, I thought there
was a lot of pressure I'm going into a couple
of weeks ago, and he proved me wrong.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
Yeah, I mean that Rams game looked bad and then
they came all the way back. That was a miracle.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
But but he got that monkey off his back. So
if that is, if that was like he breaking the curse,
which I don't. I don't think one game where you're
extremely lucky is breaking the curse. But maybe That's what
he needed for his confidence to not see those ghosts anymore.
So they are. They're peaking right now, I feel like
and they could be in for a big run. But

(35:18):
everything can change Saturday game, so better call.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Bob is a forty nine Ers fan, so of course
he doesn't think that the Seahawks are as good. You
gotta put your flay sometimes guys look.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Yeah, but also but I don't. I don't blame people
for questioning Sam Darnold.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
I don't either. But you know what, he answered the
Bell a couple of weeks ago. He did big win,
they won. It's a big game for him. I want
to give him some credit here, all right. I want
to get Bogg's credit too, because he was perfect this week.
I forgot Baker Rayfield went in there too. So three
for three, Scott Bogman winning. What a way to coach
you two with one week left to go. Nineteen for Bogs,
fourteen for me. Welsh is just at eight, just miserable.

(35:56):
So obviously he was quote unquote sick. I'm going with
Tyler Shuck this week against the Atlanta Falcons for my
three hundred yard passer. James Cook against the Jets to
run for one hundred yards and ceedee lamb against the
Giants for one hundred yards a receiver, Bogs, where are
you going for your three to one one this week?

Speaker 2 (36:15):
For me? You're winning picks here, Dak Prescott against the Giants.
Let's go with Derrick Henry at Pittsburgh because they're gonna
give them the ball thirty five times. And I mean
just because he loves to chew up the Carolina Panthers.
Mike Evans versus Carolina to end it. So I feel
like I got another sweep here.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
You might very well, my friend. I mean, what a concept.
Give the ball to Derrick Henry. I don't care every
other time, I don't care. You still give them the football.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Very true, especially with no Lamar Jackson in that game,
right like hand the ball to him a hundred times
and it worked. The only issue with Derrick Henry has
been fumbling.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
I know, thirty two years old now, yeah, so he's
a little older, but I don't care.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
You still give him the tenth all time in yard.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
He's a first ballot Hall of Fame because the most.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Two hundred yard games in NFL history was seven.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Now unbelievable. Unbelievable player, so we shall see obviously that is.
You know, besides the Steelers Ravens game, what games has
your what game specifically has your biggest attention in Week eighteen?

Speaker 2 (37:18):
No, minus Seahawks and Bucks Panthers. Those are the playoffs
Bux Panthers.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
I told you I hate both of them. Now I
hate them both. They've screwed me all year on the
betting side of things. I can't stand.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
I hope that game is terrible too. I hope it's
like thirteen to ten. That would be so hilarious.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
It's probably going to be, which is going to make
me even more just enraged potentially in that one. Yeah,
Seahawks forty nine Ers Saturday Night seems like a really
good one. Just looking at the rest of this league
too tricky too, you know, it's funny. Lions and Bears
is interesting to me only because the Lions on the
outside looking in, and I was right at the very forefront, right,
and for a while I thought I was wrong, but

(37:57):
I turned out to be right. I didn't think the
Lions were going to make the playoffs because they lost
to coordinators. And guess what the Lions did make the playoffs.
But man, in the middle of the season, I look
like a dummy. I look like a big old dummy,
you know, talking all that crap about the lines going in.
But I guess patients patients sometimes is very rewarded. Shout
out to Box. That's right for the first perfect three
to one one of the year. You waited dramatic fashion

(38:20):
to do it, to solidify as victory got to.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
