Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's mock till you drop. Let's talk to the pros.
Welcome to everybody, to Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy

(00:21):
Football Podcast. It's be Joey, b joep Zavia. That is
Dan Harris and Kyle Yates and of course it's you.
And today we're doing a half point PBR twelve team
mock draft because we love to mock. We just can't
get enough of it. We know you're heading into some
drafts on Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, probably on Labor Day
as well. This is the mock draft weekend. This is
the real draft weekend. This is where everything happens, and

(00:43):
we're here for it and we hope you are too,
whether you're listening over on our many many opportunities to
get our podcasts, and of course you could watch and
watch the draft board unfold on YouTube in real time
live and of course see our handsome faces and glorious
reactions to the snipes and the picks and the disappointments
all in between. But you gotta subscribe to the YouTube
channel while you're there and click that little notifications button

(01:05):
while you do. Kyle Yates, We've done a lot of
mocks this feels like it could be the last mock
of twenty twenty one. When you think about it, it's
a little bitter sweet almost. That's what I was going
to ask right as we started off the show. It's like,
is this actually the last mock draft that we will do?
Because this is the calm before the storm? We are
heading into draft weekend and then NFL games on Thursday

(01:27):
and next week. So I mean we get into week one,
like advice and everything like that right after this, so
last mock of the off season. That feels crazy to say.
Interesting choice of wars before the storm, Dan Harris. It's
been storming here literally figuratively in my town for a
few days now. The ballpark ten minutes from my house
was literally underwater. Enough people saw that. So yeah, storms

(01:50):
both real and literal figuratively, all that has been a
very big reality for us lately. But it is kind
of weird. We've done so many of these to think
that this is the last one. It is a little sad.
It's very bittersweet. That's not a joke. I mean, I
love the full season. I'm so excited to have real,
actual football to watch, and less than a week at

(02:11):
this point, but yeah, man, draft season is awesome, Like
this is the best part of it, right everything, and
I obviously you guys know and discord best brosle comes
last chat I have done basically about to ask what
are you gonna do? Now? What are you gonna do? Ye?
Can I tell you this is not a joke, They
asked me, can we continue to do this? I've been
I was like, all right, So every night at between

(02:32):
nine and ten, we're going to continue to walk. And
to be fair, my last draft is Wednesday night at
eight thirty, so I still need to practice. So I'm
very cool. But for all of us, this is this
is our last one for the podcast. Very sad. For me,
it is bud luck. We're going to leave on a
high note because that's what we do. We got all
the grades ready to go, too, so we'll see how
that all runs. Once again as half point PPR. We're

(02:53):
doing the regular old single quarterback as well, just in
case you're keeping score at home. And before we get
into it, I want to mind everybody because you got
all those drafts. Look, this is it. Fantasypros dot Com
slash Draft Wizard is where you can get the draft
assistant with sink. It syncs up to your draft in
your home league. It doesn't matter if you use Yahoo, ESPN, NFLCBS,
it doesn't matter. All the interfaces lock up to the

(03:17):
Draft Assistant. That way you can get all of the
great insights that go on during the draft. As Dan
and Yates have said, they don't do a draft without it.
So if it's good enough for them, it's good enough
for you too, for God's sakes, But seriously, this is
the way that you continue to dominate your leagues by
having things like the Draft Assistant. And in case you're
wondering and saying, well, how do I get it? Oh,

(03:37):
I have to upgrade my subscription of Fantasy Pros. Well
we got you covered there too, because although you can
only have it if you're an MVP or Hall of
Fame subscriber, here that is the Draft Assistant. If you
go to Fantasy Pros dot com slash offers right now,
right now, just pause the podcast. Go there to Fantasy
Pros dot com slash offers. All you gotta do make
a ten dollar deposit on one of our partners sites

(03:58):
that's Yahoo Daily, Fantasy Underdog Fan Duel DraftKings, enter a
contest claim six three months of our Hall of Fame package.
That's a sixty five dollar value for you depositing ten
box and playing more fantasy, which we all know. Don't
lie to us, don't lie to yourself you're doing anyway.
Go to fantasypros dot com slash offers, get that dollar
deposit in there. Go get into one of these contests,

(04:20):
get your six three months, get the draft assistant, and
get to winning. Right. I mean, boys, this seems like
such an easy thing, and it seems like we're laying
it out there. I just want everybody to have nice things. Dan.
The best part about the ten dollar like offer, which
is amazing, and it's six months, so that's your entire
football seas whole thing. By the way, it's not like
you're even necessarily paying ten dollars because all that is

(04:42):
is depositing it and playing in a contest on one
of these sites where you probably will be able to
win it back if you listen to us, of course,
So it's basically free if you do it right that
there's really no reason not to do it. And I
had actually a friend true story in our town who
is a fansy pro subscriber. I don't. He must not
listen to podcasts enough. But he didn't even realize it,

(05:02):
and he was like, I have a draft in ESPN.
I haven't really been paying that much attention. I was like,
have you used the draft assistant yet? And he was
like no, And I very quickly rep before his draft,
I walked him through it. He did it and ESPN
you have the crumb extension. You can draft straight from
the assistant and he got the highest he said. Everybody
was like lauding his draft and he was like, I
feel like a fraud, and it was like, don't apologize,

(05:23):
you're fining. We put all the work in so you
can look cool in front of your friends. There you go,
there's the tagline right there. All right, we are ready
to go here. We've taken our draft spots today, so
no more randomizer. Dan Harris is at two, Kyle Yates
is at six, and I am at ten, So we've
spread out a little bit. Unlike the other day. We're
not going to have a three second clock the way

(05:45):
Dan put out there, so it's gonna be a little
longer so I have more time to break down the
picks and also a little time for us to break
down our own picks, let alone the ones that go
after us. So we assume that Christian McCaffrey will go
off the board here with the first pick. That means
Dan Harris, you know you've got a decision to make.
Is it Dalvin Cook? Is it just that easy? Where
do you want to shake things up here? It's just

(06:05):
that easy. I mean it's it's easy in any format.
There are two percent of experts who would take Cook
over Christian McCaffrey. I'm hoping for that when the draft starts,
Darnedd was McCaffrey. I Am going to take Dalvin Cook.
There's not much too this guys. Here is the obvious
number two thick all. Right after that, the board unfolds
and shows itself. We have Zekiel, Elliott, Derrick, Henry, Alvin Kamara,

(06:29):
and now Yates you are on the clock. Yeah. So
one of the benefits here with the Mock Draft Wizard
is that you can input in cheat sheets with custom ranking.
So I have done that with my own ranking. So
I've got those pulled up right here. So I've got
sae Quon Barkley sitting at number six. Overall, I've got
Aaron Jones at number eight. Overall, those are the two
guys that I am considering here. I could go to
Vante Adams as well, but that's just typically not how

(06:51):
I build out my rosters. So Saquon Barkley looking like
he is going to be back for Week one at
this points, turning that direction, I'm going to take a
little bit of a leap of faith here, guys, and
I'm gonna go with sae Quon Barkley here and see
how this plays out. So at the one h six,
s Quon Barkley, I like this. I support this decision.
I have a lot of late early draft shares of

(07:11):
Saquon Barkley where everyone was so panicked about him. It's
a long season. Nick Chubb goes next as he should,
and that of course upsets me. Jonathan Taylor, Aaron Jones.
So now it is to me, oh my goodness, Austin
Eckler staring me in the face, and I don't know
what it is. I just can't do it. Something is
wrong with me, something that's built inside of me's just wrong.
So I'm gonna do something totally different for a change.

(07:33):
That's right. It's the last mock draft. Let's have some fun.
How about Travis Kelsey. Let's go, let's start something different.
We did all of these running backs in a row,
and guess what, I just got the big flex muscle
from the draft Wizard. Experts say that that was the
best pick on the board. So I went and did that,
going to see what happens. Typically, this is not what
I do. I go running back heavy. But you know what,

(07:54):
it's perfectly fine. It's fine. DeVante Adams, Stefan Digs go next,
which I love because Austin Eckler then at the turn
Tyreek Hill next, so all the running backs are back
to me. So I'm feeling really good right now about
this scenario. And the running back that I almost took
anyway is still there. I have the best of both worlds.
Give me naj Harris and get out of my way.

(08:15):
I just feel really good about that three down back,
that workhorse back in Pittsburgh. Joe Mixon goes next, then
Patrick Mahomes at two oh five, Calvin Ridley two oh six.
Back to you, Yates. So one of the things that
Dan and I have talked about all offseason is at
that like ten eleven, twelve, spy the guys that flip right,
Najy Harris is in there, Antonio Gibson is in that conversation,
and Joe Mixon. And depending on the day that you

(08:35):
ask us, it's either Antonio Gibson is higher or Joe
Mixon is higher. And I've been constantly just flip flopping
these guys. So at the two oh three, right after
Joe took Naji Harris, I was like, all right, I'm
gonna have maybe Joe Mixon fall to me. Joe Mixon
goes at the two oh four, Antonio Gibson is still
here on the board. So to start my draft with
going Saquon Barkley and then Antonio Gibson, these guys scream

(08:57):
upside at the running back position. In Tonio Gibson here
to start off my team with two running backs. Love
this strategy. Love the way that this plays out. Getting
Antonio Gibson at the two h seven. I feel like
that's a great value. It's a phenomenal value, Yates. And
the fact that typically what I would do is take
Nausea Harris and then Gibson. But trying something different, I
want to try this Kelsey thing. See where it goes.
I'll probably be miserable after the fact, and that I

(09:18):
can join Dan and the Loser's Lounge because he's always
miserable too. DeAndre Hopkins, next, Clyde Edwards, Layer, Justin Jefferson,
Dan Harris, you've started with Dalvin Cook. Where are you
going for your second pick? Before I make my pick,
I want to ask Gates. You said you're using a
cheat sheet with your own rankings, right? Is that it? Which,
by the way, everybody can do. You can create now
a cheat sheet with just one expert rankings as long

(09:39):
as it's one of the Fantasy Bros experts Yates, what
about it if you've changed your rankings since that you
made that cheat sheet? I have the expert sync turn
on Dan do. What does that do again? Oh? That
automatically updates the cheat sheet. It is my favorite thing
because I also have a cheat sheet with my rankings,
and before we sort of I even knew about that,
I would always make sure I updated my rankings an

(09:59):
update of my cheat when you have the experts sink,
whenever we update our rankings, it updates too. You guys,
you must know where I'm going get this number two pick? Right?
Please tell me right? This is the correct answer. It
is Darren Waller. I have mentioned it before, Yates. When
you were up at the six pick, there were two
guys from me ahead on my board of Darren Waller.
It was Antonio Gibson who you selected, and it was

(10:21):
DeAndre Hopkins, which Team five selected. After that, I just
kind of hope that he was going to slip, and
he did. Again. This is what is almost always going
to happen here. I think when you get close to
turn at the one or two pick, Waller is going
to be available because ADP and expert consensus ranking have
him right at that turn. So if you're there, I
have zero problems with taking him next highest on my board. Again,
I could go running back here, and I'm a little

(10:45):
torn on it. This is interesting. I might I might
talk this out right now as we think about you
can you can think about it and I'll recap the
next two how's that I'll filbuster for you. DK Metcalf
goes to close out the second round, then Chris Carson,
so Carson McCaffrey Metcalf on one team. Now it's back
to Dan Harris for the second pick in the third round.
All right, again, when you open up at the turn

(11:07):
at the very least with McCaffrey, we always talk about
the fact that you can go tight end and then
wide receiver, and I like that. Even though I'm not
technically at the exact turn, I'm still going to go
that route. Dalvin Cook, Darren Waller, And for my next pick,
I'm going to take a j Brown, one of my
favorite personal players anyway. But also it's a very clear
wide receiver one. I like this. You gott on RB

(11:28):
one tight end one wide receiver one. You're well above
in terms of relative position value to start your team.
It's a good thing. Team three then takes Terry mclurin
right after Josh Allen goes three oh four Allen Robinson
three h five. Yates, you are on the clock after
your two giant running back picks back to back. Yeah.
So one of the reasons why I love going running
back in the first two rounds is the available wide receivers.

(11:51):
Here in the middle of the third round, I'm looking
at guys like Keenan Allen, Ceedee Lamb, Robert Woods, who
are respectively twelve, eleven, and thirteen in my rankings. So
I'm gonna go with the highest guy in my rankings
here at the wide receiver position. I'm going upside in
this draft, guys, Antonio Gibson, A little bit of a
swing for the fences, Sequon Barkley. The upside is there,
Ceedee Lamb. Here, let's go. There is a top five

(12:12):
receiver when we look back at this season. So I
am just swinging for the fences here. I'm going, Ceedee Lamb.
Can I can I ask something? Did you consider at all?
Because he didn't mention him at all? Kittle there? Uh?
Where Yates? Yeah? At me? I'm sorry, yes, yeah, sorry, pick,
I'm sorry, my bad, I said, Joe. Sorry? Can I interrupt? Um?

(12:32):
Can you did you consider Kittle whatsoever? There is this?
Not where you're going with that tight end? That's typical?
I mean you, that's fine value for Kittle. I have
no issue with taking him there. That's just not personally
how I like to build my teams. So and again,
we've talked about it with the guys that I prefer
at the tight end position later on. So, uh, you know,
I'll take the stud wide receiver, a top twelve wide
receiver in my rankings there versus George Kittle at that

(12:53):
point I will say this is fun. Joe has Kelsey,
I have Darren Waller, Yates is gonna have Annie Smith,
and about three well, I'm already regretting this because I
was hoping Ceede Lamb would make it back to me.
He did not, So I'm gonna gonna play it safe here.
I'm gonna again. I'm at a point now worth running backs.
And you saw it in that draft I did the

(13:13):
other day. We talked about that. Just not a fan
of how things are right now, what they look like.
So I'm gonna go ahead and take the last guy
that feels safe about, and that's David Montgomery. I feel
safe with him. The wide receivers I have all very close,
so it doesn't make a difference who makes it back
to me. Keenan Allen goes after that, Josh Jacobs, Mike Evans,
Gus Edwards. Guess what. The guy that I was hoping
maybe might make it back to me still around anyway soon,

(13:36):
Robert Woods. So there you go. Not Darryl Anderson. But
but this is the thing that's it's like, you know
you have fade through and then you're in the full PPR.
I think that you can start to look at who
can step up and be an RB two as opposed
to who are the guys who were ranked as RB two's.
I just think it's better investment right now. After Montgomery,
that drop off is significant for me. So I mean literally,

(13:58):
right as soon as you get to Jacobs, I'm already
he's starting to panic a little bit. And Montgomery might
not be special, but at least I believe in the workload.
I believe where he is, how he's going to be used.
After I take Robert Woods, Chris Godwin, goes Tyler Lockett,
goes DeAndre Swift, goes Yates, you are now on the clock.
Tarik Cohen landing on the pup certainly helps give a
little bit of a boost there to David Montgomery. I
know that we're gonna have Damian Williams involved as a receiver,

(14:20):
but he's not going to be as involved as Tree
Cohen would be. So yeah, I think David Montgomery at
that point perfectly fine value. So here at the four
oh seven, I am looking at a running back. He's
right here at the top of my board. That is
Darrell Henderson. I'm going to take him here to just
load up on the running back position. Again. I've talked
about him as having insane upside this year and still
someone that I am. I'm a big believer in, and

(14:41):
you're seeing guys like you know, DeAndre Swift go above him,
Gus Edwards, and Josh Jacobs. Particularly Josh Jacobs's schedule is
brutal this year, like to start the year, absolutely insane.
I'm not taking him this year. So Darrell Henderson I
think has the upside here. Week one, he gets Chicago,
so it's a tough run defense. He's probably not gonna
pop off the way that a lot of people think

(15:02):
that he could, but I think that season long, he's
a really, really smart investment to be at m RB three.

Now back to the draft. Amari Cooper goes next. Deante Johnson,
one of Harris's favorites is no longer available. He goes
at four to nine for ten Kyler Murray, Dan Harris,
You're on the clock for four eleven. The first thing

(16:50):
I want to say is that this what I really
am enjoying in fact that this is our last mock
draft podcast and video, is that this is atypical. Like
Patrick Mahomes went in the second and again, the reason
why I like the simulators again is because it's basically
the you know, artificial intelligence. It is all based on
various experts ranking, so you have no idea. Josh Allen

(17:10):
went early, you know in the third. I personally, for
both of you guys, if I were at either one
of your picks, I personally would have taken Keenan Allen.
I'm just putting that out there. But he went after that,
which is totally fine. If it had been full PPR,
I would have done the same, but I still want
the touchdown equity. I do have Keenan Allen ahead of
Ceedee Lamb still in my ranking, so that's what I
would have done. So for right now, I'm sitting here
and I'm at a little bit of a crossroads. Thankfully,

(17:32):
Team one it's artificial intelligence, so hopefully they can't hear me.
There's one running back, which I kind of like. Team
one has two running backs. I'm gonna bank on him
not taking him. I'm gonna take Julio Jones, a guy
that we haven't talked about very much, and he is
the next highest receiver on my board tight wide receiver stack. Now, look,
you can't go wrong. I've done it. I did it
in the Flex Lee because Julio lasted to the seventh

(17:54):
round or something absurd, and I was like, well, do
I price enforce with talent and worry about the do
I worry about the bye weeks? No, I'm gonna go
in price and force with talent, and Julio does with
the talent. If he makes it back to you in
a place he shouldn't make it back to you. Take
the talent, worry about it later, and yeah, there's gonna
be some days where both of them eat. It's gonna
be okay. Don't worry. That's like saying, oh, man, I
don't want calf Ridley and Julio Jones because they aren't

(18:16):
good together. Of Course they could be good together at
the same time, because I saw it happened. It can happen.
Evans and God were good together over the same season,
So I'm not worried about that. I think that's the
right thing to do. Dan Cooper Clubs and Adam Feeling
go next. So you were right, no running backs. You
roll the dice and it worked out for you. And
I am tempted here because against the three wide receiver league,
I am tempted to take DJ Moore, which was basically

(18:37):
a coin flip for me, and he is technically the
next highest person on my board. But I'm looking at
my cheat sheet and I'm looking at my tears, and
for me, there's a drop off. You guys probably know
where I'm going right now. It's Mike Davis. He's a
guy who I feel very comfortable getting, especially it's basically
one of the last RB two is on the board.
I really didn't feel that comfortable with any other running
back left. I gambled team one went wide receiver wide receiver,

(18:59):
so I feel very happy about the way that played out.
JJ Zachoreson had the greatest tweet ever about the whole
Wayne Goldman signing, which is, if you have Mike Davis,
you think pretty good about yourself. That you have Mike Davis,
you believe in it. And if you don't have Mike Davis,
then you think pretty highly. Right now, Wayne Gallman and
I thought that was very zen, and I think that
he actually nailed it. So look, Wayne Gallman is a

(19:20):
decent running back. He had some moments for the Giants
last year. But I'm not gonna go crazy with Wayne
Goldman just because you know, he just signed right before
here after he got cut. I feel like a guy
who gets I mean, we were we have been trying
to talk ourselves into whoever is backing up Mike Davis
right for the entire obviously, Cadre Allison, look at this,
this is gonna be great. No, the fact that they
signed a guy who just cut, you know, by the

(19:42):
forty nine ers, I just it doesn't worry me personally
at all. I just have zero concerns right now, especially
as we've talked about Yates early in this season with
Mike Davis and Kyle Pitts goes right after at five
oh three. So there's your fifth round, Kyle Pitts Tee
Higgins five oh four, DJ Moore five O five two.
Very good values there, Kyle, you are on the clock
for five oh six. I'm gonna go with my well,

(20:03):
I mean I wanted Dj Moore, I want one pick
before me, but I'm gonna go with my next highest
ranked wide receiver here that is Odell Beckham Junior. I've
got Chase Claypole right behind him here. Odell is not
a player that we've talked a ton about. But Brett Coleman,
who I actually just had on the Dynasty podcast on
his YouTube channel, he did an excellent breakdown of what
happened last year with Odell Beckham Junior in Cleveland, and

(20:25):
it was a fantastic breakdown and it gives me a
ton of confidence in drafting Odell this year for who
he can beat. Now, we have the injury concerns right
that's always going to be hanging over Obj's head. But
as my wide receiver two that I got here in
the fifth round. And we've talked about it all offseason,
the value at wide receiver that I can kind of
stack later on again going for the upside here with Obj,
I'm not that worried about him and his fit here

(20:47):
in Cleveland. I think that he's in for a big
year all right, after Odell goes. Brandon, I yu Jamar Chase,
Robbie Anderson. Anderson was a guy I was looking at. Now.
This is tough because this is that next rung of
wide receivers. Because I have Kelsey, I think I'm gonna
do something a little different here because he is such
a big separator at that tight end position. I'm gonna
look for another separator instead at a different position, and

(21:08):
it's quarterback. And Lamar Jackson is the last of those
big time quarterbacks on the board that's not dealing with
an injury at least like Dak Is. And I love
Dak Prescott too, So I kind of rolling the dice
here seeing how it goes. But I'm gonna go ahead
and take Lamar Jackson here, the only quarterback that we've
ever had to rush for back to back thousand yard seasons. Yeah,
I like that feels good, especially in half PPR. Again,
if I was in full I'd probably go with the

(21:29):
wide receiver and wait on quarterback after that. T J.
Hoggison Javante Williams go, I'm going to continue to fade
wide receiver here a little bit because I gotta tell you,
like these guys is very tough for me. I feel
like everybody left as a wide receiver three. So if
I'm reaching for a wide receiver three, why am I
even bothering? This is very difficult. The one guy's Jerry
Judy could potentially take him here. Looking at some of

(21:52):
the other options here, I'm gonna go ahead and take
the running back that I keep talking up, and I'm
gonna go ahead and reach for Tray Sermon after Javonta
Williams goes, because I don't think it's going to make
it back to me in terms of the depth there
wide receiver. I'll figure it out later. There's some names
we all know that I like a little later. So
I've only got one wide out, but I've also got
Travis Kelsey, so I'm going to play it this way.
Chase Edmunds, Brandon Cooks, Jerry Judy goes in this round.

(22:14):
Of course, couple picks later, Yeates, you're not a fan
of my trace Ermon pick? No, that was I love
the trace Ermon pack. I wanted Jerry Judy, so I
got sniped on both ends. I got DJ Moore going
with the Team five and then Team seven on the way.
Bats are strong in this one. Jerry Judy freaking all right,
here we go. I'm going to the guy that that

(22:34):
I was talking about and debating between Ada Beckham Jr.
At My last pick is still here, and that's Chase Claypol.
I think that he has insane upside this year in
this offense. I think that we are going to see
a ton of two wide receiver sets and Chase Claypol
is going to be starting outside. I think Juju Smith
Schuster is the ad man out and Chase Claypole showed
out last year, and if we are believing in the
second year leap, then I've got to take him here

(22:55):
in the sixth round. So Chase Claypol to be my
wide receiver three. I'm loving this start. I think it's
an outstanding start. And I can't believe you got the
guy coming back to you all the way that you
almost took over Beckham, so that's when you know everything's
coming up. Yates in a draft Dak Prescott six ZO
eight and Miles Gaskin six O nine. Cortland Sutton next
right before Dan Harris is now up for a pick.

(23:16):
That was kind of an annoying run. I was actually
thinking I was gonna take Dak here, Joe, and look
this is you know, We've done a million of these,
so it's fun to try out different strategies, and I
am feeling more optimistic about Dak. He's obviously going to
be ready for Week one. I could see the first
game being a little rough here, especially against the Bucks,
but if he can survive that, I would be happy

(23:37):
with that. And I think he certainly obviously probably his
top three quarterback potential. But he was taken, as you mentioned,
So I was going to pivot to the actual Denver
wide receiver that I am drafting first, and that would
have been Courtland Sutton, but he was just mistaken. I
was hoping he chased Claypool Michael, so this is just
going wrong. So instead, what I'm going to do is
I have two running backs, Alvin Cook Mike Davis. Not

(23:59):
the strongest I'm going to take a pretty unexciting running
back who has moved up my boards significantly, and that
is Damien Harris. I just did a very brief preview.
I can't remember what the stat was, but it was
some ridiculous stat about the number of rushes inside the
five yard line. It was like seventeen rushes last year
for Cam Newton inside the five and all the touchdowns

(24:19):
and how all Patriots running backs combined got nothing. Those
inside the five yard line carries are going to go
to Damien Harris right now. So it's an RB three
even a half PPR league. I feel fine about that.
Stevenson is going to get more than people think. I'm
just putting that out there, but Damien Harris is gonna
get more than we have previously had projected. So I
think that's kind of the balance you have to look there. Look,

(24:39):
you know, I already had Harris because I thought that
there was gonna be a quarterback Chane sooner than later anyway,
so I was confident drafting him. So if you drafted
Damien Harris early as an RB four or even later
in some of these ten teen leagues, you did well.
Davante Smith Aaron Rodgers go next. We're turning around the
seventh round. Rodgers, the first pick of the seventh is
now back to you for seven oh two. Dan. Yeah,
and here, I'm probably gonna go with a wide receiver.

(25:02):
And it's not somebody that I feel super excited about drafting.
We just talked about it with the Steelers. But I
do think that Juju Smith Schuster has gotten a little
bit too much hate coming in. I know Yates is
pretty fanium and has made the case pretty adequately for certain,
but I'm a little more optimistic. I'm considering, Look, that's
as good as I am ever going to give you.

(25:23):
I should be very happy with that. But for me,
I still think that Juju is a wide receiver. Three.
I'm not going to talk about the other wide receiver
that I might have taken, because I think there's a
chance he makes it back to me. But it was
between Juju and another wide receiver, and I opted for Juju,
who I projected slightly higher. So more Dan Harris's favorites
where he Moser goes Logan Thomas goes already in the
seventh round, looking about out, My goodness, you have you

(25:46):
have single handedly destroyed the value of Logan Thomas Dan.
It might be it might be me that is one
of the artificial. It feels like the Dan Harris Bot
Kareem Hunt goes next. Kyle Yates, you are on the clock. Yeah.
So I've got three wide receivers, I've got three running
backs here, So now I'm looking at taking advantage of
the running back position before it drives up, before the

(26:07):
depth just completely goes away. So Melvin Gordon, we talked
about Javonta Williams. We think that Javontay Williams is absolutely
going to have a role in this offense. He's a very,
very talented running back. But I think that this is
still going to be a split here. So with Melvin
Gordon as my RB four, I've got a little bit
of risk with sae Quon Barkley, Like I will acknowledge
that right there is some upside to him, obviously, but

(26:28):
there is still some risk baked into it. So to
have a safe option, a guy that I feel like
he is going to have a role all throughout the
year that I won't necessarily need to rely on unless
something happens to sae Quon Barkley or Antonio Gibson, whatever.
But I've got that built in here in the seventh
round to take Melvin Gordon and at least still feel
comfortable with him on my roster. It's a break glass
in case of emergency situation with Melvin Gordon. I'm surprised

(26:51):
that you're going Melvin Gordon over Ronald Jones because I
know you were so high on Ronald Jones. I dring
into the seasons he still have. That's in kind of
love for him because he was still on the board too.
This is one of the situations with the Tampa Bay
backfield that I just don't want to mess with. Like,
there is absolutely going to be someone that emerges and
has fantasy value, but I don't know which one it's
gonna be. I think it's gonna be Ronald Jones. He's

(27:12):
a better runner. But Leonard Fournette is still here, Giovanni Bernard,
It's gonna come in on third downs. They've still got
Keyshaan Vaughan. Like, what's going to happen with this backfield?
I just have no idea. So Ronald Jones I needed
a safe option, right. Ronald Jones is someone that if
I want to take the upside. Then I'll go with
Ronald Jones. I'm fine taking the shot with him there.
But as far as how I've constructed my team, I
wanted the safe option there, which is Melvin Gordon. All right,

(27:34):
fair enough, will Fuller, Kenny Galladay, and then to me,
I go ahead and take Corey Davis, d J. Charco's next,
Tyler Boy, then Michael Gallop at the turn Ryan Tannehill.
And this is exactly what I was hoping for. Plethora
of wide receivers that I still really like, and I'm
gonna go ahead and take This is tough because there's
three that I really like. I don't want to even
name their names. I know they boys see them anyway,

(27:55):
So chances are I just gotta go here. But because
I've already gone a little thinnet wide receiver, taking a
little bit too much risk might be scary here. So
I'm gonna go with Antonio Brown, who to me is
a proven entity, and I'm gonna go ahead and take
him there. So I ended up with Robert Woods, Corey Davis,
Antonio Brown as my wide receivers, with Kelsey not too bad,
and I like the running back death and I ended

(28:15):
up with a top five quarterback. So I'm actually liking
this team, even though I was a a little worried there
for a split second as things were unfolding. It's getting
better as we go. Justin Herbert goes right after. I
select Antonio Brown, Deebo Samuel next, Tom Brady at eight
oh six. Tremendous value there, eight oh seven. Kyle Yates,
you are on the clock. It's a tough decision for
me here at the wide receiver position. I've got two

(28:36):
guys that are back to back in my rankings. I'm
gonna try to play the ADP game and see if
one of them come the other guy comes back to me. Here,
I'm gonna take Laviska Chanault here. I was looking at here.
I mean I had questions about his role. I had
questions about his involvement in this offense with Travis Etn
being in the in the full here. But now Etn's
out for the entire year, and I think Lavisco Chanault

(28:58):
steps right into this role here in this offense, a
very very valuable role where he's gonna be able to
soak up targets over the middle of the field. They
don't have a tight end in this offense, right, so
you need someone to be that reliable receiving option over
the middle of the field. He can create yards after
the catch. He's a monster. So Leaviska Chanal as my
wide receiver four is something that I feel really, really
comfortable with. This year, I was debating Chanalt or Antonio Brown.

(29:21):
I went with the proven quarterback. That's all again. It
was like, you know, it's not that I don't love
Trevor Lawrence. I do, but literally, just looking at a
team's construct, it is so easy to get excited about
Lewiska Chenalt and you should be an I am too,
But this is where roster construction matters for everybody's watching
this and why you make the picks that you make,
even when players are really close in terms of your
personal rankings. Antonio Brown at the end of the day,

(29:43):
has Tom Brady throwing in the football. I know he's
got crowd of wide receivers, but then again, so Chanal,
there's options there as well. In Jacksonville. To me, Ty
always goes with the quarterback, and right now I'm still
gonna put Tom Brady ahead. Obviously for the Trevor Lawrence.
Michael Thomas goes next, Curtis Samuel, After that, Ronald Jones
finally off the board at eight ten. Dan Harris, you're
on the clock for eight to eleven. I will say

(30:04):
that I strongly approve of all three of your picks.
Basically that just went. Corey Davis was the guy Joe
that I was debating with. I have right next to
Judu Smith Schuster that was next wide receiver on my board.
Certainly was hoping either Antonio Brown or Leavisca Chenalt. So
it's good that you played, you know, not worrying about
the ADP games. I'm gonna go with guys not technically
the highest on my board, but I want to have

(30:26):
this guy on my team. We talked about it yesterday.
Slight slight reach fine, and to be it is not
a reach out. Well, I do think that there is
something that again I considered, and I probably could have
gotten away with it. But we've done so many mock
drafts and there have been times where have been like,
logically speaking, this person should take this, and they don't.

(30:47):
The team number one already had four wide receivers, so
there was a pretty good chance he wasn't going to
take another one at these next two picks. I figured
he would go running back running back. He did go
running back running back, so I could have probably waited.
I assume he wouldn't have altered this strategy of Wattle
is there, but I do like getting that. So now
I'm looking and look. I have a couple of wide
receivers that I'm eyeing right now. But I'm also realizing

(31:09):
I'm probably a little higher on some of these wide
receivers than probably adp my guests, as some of them
will make it back to me. I have the three
running backs, it's not the strongest group after Dalvin Cook,
Mike Davis, and Damian Harris. So I am looking at
a couple of guys. The next highest guy on my
board is Michael Carter, and I think that that is
who I'm going to take. And really part of the
reason is, again Yates, this is a philosophy that you

(31:32):
have mentioned which I like, which is we know pretty
much that Mike Davis, as long as he's healthy, is
going to provide value early in the year. So when
you're going with the backups, it's okay to take guys
who probably won't provide a ton of value early in
the year. By the end of the year, I do
expect Michael Carter to separate himself from the Jets three
headed running attack and have value then. So Carter's going
to be my r before here, and I feel pretty

(31:53):
comfortable with it, especially considering that I have Mike Davis,
Wattle Inch and all were the two guys that were
looking at So I don't think it's a reach at all.
I think that's a really good value. And you're looking
at round eight. Look at the kind of wide receivers
that are around in that area. That is just tremendous value.
The running backs Dan was mentioning by the way that
went were Leonard Fournett and Zach Moss. So absolutely take
Jalen Waddle. You nailed it. Michael Carter is probably a

(32:14):
better investment than the other two backs anyway. Potentially Jarvis
Landry and Mike Williams James Connor go next after Dan's pick. Kyle,
you were on the clock for nine oh six. I
have Matthew Stafford at one spot above Jalen Hurts, So
that is where I'm going here. I love Matthew Stafford
here in the ninth round. That is the spot where
I'm looking to take one of these last two quarterbacks before,
and we've talked about it. Once you get outside the

(32:35):
top twelve, you got a little bit of mystery here.
But Joe Burrow at thirteen, like, can he get back
to operating at one percent right out of the gate.
He's got a great matchup in Week one, but I
just don't know if he's going to be a guy
that I want to go into the season relying on.
And then you got Trevor Lawrence and guys like TWA
and Baker Mayfield, Matt Ryan, Like, I really don't want
any of those guys as my QB one to start
the year. So Matthew Stafford here in the ninth round

(32:58):
is someone that I feel very very comfortab getting my
hands on as the last, like last great option in
the top twelve. Let's take a quick break from the

tell you, I'm stunned here. Mikole Hardman, Michael Pittman, go
back to back after you. Pittman first, then Hardman, Marquez Callaway.
I was gonna take right there. He went right before me.
I am not happy. Team nine and I are gonna
have words after this draft is over. So right now,
the wide receivers I'm not happy about. So I'm gonna
go ahead and I'm gonna take another running back because

(34:43):
I've been doing this the whole time. I keep taking
shares at Jamal Williams because I feel like he's already
got a role in the offense that could only potentially
grow over time. I want a little bit more depth
there at the running back position because you can never
have enough. So he's my r before. It's exactly the
kind of guy I wanted. Oh boy, I'm glad I
did that when I did, because after that, we got
four straight running backs going in a row. AJ Dillon,

(35:03):
David Johnson, Kenyan Drake, and Devin Singletary. Back to me, well,
I'm glad I didn't go and take a wide receiver
because now I'm just gonna ahead and take one. I'm
gonna take Marvin Jones. I think he's safe. I do
like the quarterback Trevor Lawrence. No, no knocking Trevor Lawrence.
So if it's not Chanalt, maybe I get some Marvin
Jones games in. There is my wide receiver four. I
can live with it. I'd rather have Callaway, but again,

(35:23):
it was not meant to be Sony Michelle Naheim Hines.
And what's clearly shaping up from nine to ten right
now with the turn, it's a time to get the
running back depth, at least it would appear so. So
Kyle Yates, are you're gonna follow suit or you're gonna
buck the trend here? I've got the safe option with
Melvin Gordon as my RB four. I'm gonna go with
the upside here, and I'm gonna keep I'm gonna keep
this guy on the bottom of my bench. And if

(35:44):
ever something happens to Ezekiel Elliott, I have a potential league.
Yer Tony Pollard here running back for the Dallas Cowboys,
here at the ten oh seven to be my RB five,
to pair with Saquon Barkley and Sonio Gibson, Darryl Henderson,
Melvin Gordon, and Tony Pollard. This is a philosophy of
just team construction, right. I've got some upside there with
my top three running backs that I grabbed in the

(36:05):
first few rounds. Then I've got Melvin Gordon, who I've
talked about. It's just kind of this safe option. I
know what I'm gonna get. I can plug him into
my lineup if I need him, and then Tony Pollard
is that league winner here, So especially now from rounds
ten on, the running back position really is just kind
of gross. So I just want to be able to
grab that last RB five on my roster, and then
from here on out I can take tight end and

(36:25):
wide receivers and stack up these guys. You know it's
fascinating too. I was somebody who didn't take a lot
of Tony Pollard earlier in the year, and then I realized, well,
if I'm hating on Zeke as much as I am
and so worried about him, then why am I not
taking more Tony Pollard. He already had a hundred carries
last year. He probably get one hundred and fifty easily
this year. Even if Zeke was healthy, But what if
he's not. Like you said, it's a league winner. I
think in round ten, Look it was between Williams and Pollard.

(36:46):
If Williams was off the board, I would have taken
Pollard where I was at instead. You're right league winner
potential here in round ten. Yeah, you have to have
an injury for it to happen. But you got a
running back sixth year in the league. Remember when Levon
Bell used to be good and Todd Gurley used to
be good. Sometimes the drop off is precipitous. Elijah Moore
goes next, Gabriel Davis. Look at that. Look at the
rising star, Gabriel Davis. I'm so mad about this too.

(37:09):
Philip Lindsay goes next. So Dan Harris ten eleven. I
will say first of all that I thought you both
again nailed your picks. I'm not just being nice, Joe.
I was debating Michael Carter versus Jamal Williams. I think
Williams is a fantastic value there. He is going to
contribute more than people think. Marvin Jones is somebody who's
just incredibly steady. Absolutely, and then Yates, this is what

(37:30):
you do with your running back position. When you're drafting late,
you go for the absolute upside. So great picks by you, guys.
I went with Jalen Hurts. Now this is something where
again Yates you talked about there were two guys left,
you know, Jalen Hurts for me and Matthew Stafford. Before
we hit the what I call the Joe Burrow line,
everybody had a starting quarterback, including Team one with Aaron Rodgers.
He probably wasn't going to take Jalen Hurts, but I

(37:52):
just I've seen the backup quarterback randomly taken too many
times and I didn't want to risk it. So I
took Jalen Hurts. Very happy. He's my ninth rank quarterbacks,
so I'm happy to get him as the QB twelve. Here.
The running back situation is not fantastic right now, so
I am going to take a guy who I'd actually
like to hear your thoughts on. Guys. He's a guy
who's higher than me. I'll probably get a little bit

(38:15):
of a reach alert as I take him, but I'm
going to select Jacoby Myers. I did not. I did
not get the reach alert. I'm fine. So Jacoby Myers
is a guy who Yates. We were talking about it yesterday,
was like our big let's go through all of our
projections and our rankings. And I updated it last night,
thankfully might cheat sheet automatically updated, of course with my

(38:35):
own rankings. And Myers was by far the next guy
on my board, and frankly I could have taken him
the last turn I had because I have him that high,
so very happy here to get him as my wide receiver.
Five he was in my queue, so I can tell
you that I was ready to pull the trigger on
that if you made it back to me. I lost
Gabriel Davis already Jacoby Myers off the board. Yeah, it's
I'm also a little unsettled because Dan's being so nice

(38:56):
to us, so either he's really you're having very good drafts.
I'm also exhausted, so I think you're just really tired.
It's Friday, he's had a long week. So after her,
Brian Edwards goes Mike Kasiki. Then Dan took Myers eleven
oh to Tyroll Williams eleven oh three. Romandre Stevenson, who
I've been seeing fly up draftwards too lately, look in
half and even standard leagues. Romandre Stevens is gonna have

(39:19):
touchdown equity. He might have, you know, eight carries in
a game, but if one of them is a touchdown,
well that's going to be useful. Tyler Higbee next, So
that makes he ates upset. So I can only assume
there's only one pivot yet for him, where it is
basically Johnny Smith. Now this is ridiculous. So in the
past round, I had Darnell Mooney qued up, I had
Gabriel Davis qued up. I had Brian Edwards qued up,

(39:40):
and then Jacoby Myers. So this is just this is
my nightmare. So I will I'm not getting sniped again.
I'm not doing this. I'll take Johnny Smith here at
the in the eleventh round to fill up the ten
end spot of my roster. Look, man, and this and
this is why you use the Draft Wizard, because it's
not just like some random ADP generator thing like this
is tough. We're all struggling. You see us getting mad

(40:01):
when the pots snipe us and stuff, and you see
guys going and I wouldn't say reached for, but you
see guys going that this is gonna happen your real draft.
You're gonna have people who are gonna go ahead and
love a player and take him around early, and it's
gonna frustrate you because you think you get a value.
Henry Ruggs goes after Johnny Smith, Robert Tonyan Chuba Hubbard
another guy starting to fly up draft boards. Very interesting
after he has a pretty good offseason. So, oh my goodness.

(40:24):
Looking at the wide receiving corps here, trying to figure
out where I can build a little bit of depth.
There's two guys that I like. I'm gonna take the
safe one first and have a little fun with the
next one. But there's one safe one too, And yeah,
he's not gonna be mind blowing, but I think Russell
Gage is still gonna be good enough. So I'm looking
for just a wide receiver that I can plug in
there on matchups if I have injuries. Latavius Murray, Gio,

(40:44):
Bernard Markey's Brown, Davante Parker go next. This is perfect.
This is exactly what I wanted because now I'm gonna
take Rondel more after. So I took the safe wide receiver.
I took the upside wide receiver. That was the plan.
Also had my eye on Jalen Rager, who's looked a
little bit better this year. So I'm wondering if the
sec get year is indeed the charm for him. He's
a guy that I wanted nothing to do with at
the beginning of the year, starting to change my tune.

(41:06):
And that's what everybody has to do. No matter how
much your research, you have to be willing sometimes to
make adjustments in your brain. James White, Rashad Penny, JD. McKissick.
So the little pass catching running back run yates back
to you at twelve or seven. You're going to see
this in the smarter leagues that you guys are doing,
where we see Trey Lance go higher and higher. So
here in the twelfth round, I want to take him here.

(41:27):
I think I can wait a little bit as far
as like the consensus ADP and ECR and stuff like that.
I think I can wait and get him around later.
But I want to illustrate where he is actually going
to go in some of these smarter leagues here this
weekend for you guys. So Trey Lance here just stack
with Matthew Stafford. I've seen a lot of people that
have tagged us in their draft results and stuff like
that they've done this exact thing, which has been awesome

(41:48):
to see, where they've taken one of these lower tier
guys at the QB one position and then they've doubled
back and they've got Trey Lance on their bench. This
Trey Lance League winner this year. Once he becomes a
starting u which I think is going to be sooner
than later. So Trey Lance twelve or seven, I'll take him.
Here is m QUB two, and you're seeing two strategies
here unfold. Where I take a quarterback in the top five,

(42:10):
and that's a guy like Lamar Jackson I think is
a weekly game changer, and then Yates going the other way,
taking the safe quarterback lower down on the chart, but
also taking the upside of a rookie. Those are two
very good strategies this year. Don't discount either of them
and employ them. Basically, However, the draft board unfolds itself
to you because all you can do is be prepared
and flexible. You can have a plan, but then just

(42:32):
like the bots, happen and then they punch you in
the mouth. Let's see if these picks punched Dan Harris
in the mouth, Alexander Madison, TeV and Coleman Kenneth Gainwell.
Gainwell is an interesting pick here too, nice value in
round twelve, Dan Harris, you are up next. This very
much punched me in the mouth, and Trey Lance would
not have made it back to you, Yates. So you
did the absolute correct thing. I was going to take

(42:53):
him because I think having that kind of upside quarterback,
I want him everywhere. But Rager is not without not Ragor.
I'm sorry, Jalen hurt Sorry Joe, you just said Ragorum.
Jay Hurts is not without risks. As high as I
am on him right now, the options here are bad.
I really wanted Alexander Madison. I am instead going to
take Tyson Williams, who again, I think that there is

(43:15):
going to be another running back in there that's going
to factor. And it's funny Team One took Darryl Williams.
Everybody is doing this correctly, by the way, right, This
is what you do with your late round picks. Necessarily
that you want to get these running backs that are
either high high end insurance policies or you know, at
least somebody that you feel like it's going to contribute
and adds on. You know, even if it's a little

(43:37):
bit lesser of that of that ability. Now for right now,
the options are pretty barren. There's a guy that I
like that you probably both know who I am assuming
is going to make it back to me given where
I have him on my board. So I'm going to
do something a little bizarre here. You know, I didn't
get Trey Lance. I could take Justin Fields here, but
I'm actually going to go with Joe Burrow. And the

(43:58):
reason is, like, I don't want Joe Burrow to be
my starting quarterback, okay, but if he is somebody who
he looks physically, okay, it's mostly a mental thing. If
he is somebody who takes four weeks or something to
find his sea legs and get going, the upside is
there with Burrow, for sure, especially given his wide receiving corps.
He could be a stud. I just don't want to

(44:19):
be relying on as my primary guy. So for me,
when I have a guy like Hurts, who I like
a lot and I target, but who clearly comes with
some uncertainty, I'm gonna take the backup here. Again. I
would have taken Lance, but to take Burrow this late,
I really feel pretty decent about that pairing that guy
with Jalen Hurts. All right, I've written down on a
post it note what I think yates next pick is

(44:39):
going to be. Are you written down here? I'm not
going to reveal it. Yeah, this is on the YouTube channel.
You can see any So I'm gonna go ahead, and
I think I do. We'll see what happens there. So
after you took Tyson Williams, which I absolutely love that
pick there Williams, Noah Fant, Joe Burrow, Nelson agil Or,
Terrorist Marshall, Malcolm Brown, Kyle Yates. Let's see if you
dis point me or not. I'm looking at the wide

(45:01):
receiver position here, and once you get into this range,
you're looking at guys who may or may not have
a role as a starter in their offense. So I mean,
I'm looking at a guy who I know is going
to be a starter out of the slot. I'm gonna
go Jamison Crowder here. This might be a little bit
of a reach, but as my wide receiver five, he's
one of these guys that I know what I'm gonna get.
I think that we could see him phase out of

(45:23):
the offense as it goes on, and we see Elijah
More step in. So I think Jamison Crowder though I
know the role that he's gonna have, and that's kind
of what I want here to start the season. So
Jamison Crowder not a pick that I'm like super super
crazy about, but as my wide receiver. Five and funny,
can I guess who was on your post? And not sure?
Let's see if you can. I could be wrong. I
was gonna guess I'm on Roth Saint Brown. No, it
is if you see it, Tony James Yates, I've already

(45:48):
got I've already got five running backs. Yeah, but still
as your boy, you gotta take your boy, all right. Well,
you know what, I'll go ahead and take your boy
because I could always have some more running backs, so
I would go ahead. I thought for sure that he
was going to be there. And the last round, well,
yea friend, I'm on Ross Saint Brown. Excuse me, after Crowder,
you got Matt Ryan, Selvan, Okhmed, I'm on Ross and Brown.

(46:09):
I took Tony Jones, Junior Uh, carlos Hi, Trevor Lawrence,
Damian Williams twa goes. And you know what, I'm going
to take another quarterback for fun too, because I don't
like what left here on the board. So I'm gonna
take Justin Fields. That's right, Let's go with some upside,
have some fun. Let's see what happens there. Let's see
if Andy Dalton can make it out alive of week
one with that offensive line and Aaron Donald breathing down

(46:30):
his throat. Taysom Hill goes next, Gronk goes after, Cole
Beasley goes, and then Yates is up next at fourteen
oh seven. This is my last pick of the draft. Um,
so I've got a fine bench spot here. Tony Jones
Junior was going to be the guy that I would
consider here at this spot. I thought he wouldn't make
it back to me he did not. I gonna take

(46:50):
another shot on a running back here who was just
signed to his team. Uh, this is going to like
just tak my grade because he's not even in like
ranked highly in ECR or whatever. But I don't care.
I really like this strategy here, and I wanted to
talk about it and see and get your guys opinion too.
Wayne Golman, I'm going to take him here at the
fourteen oh seven because with Mike Davis we talked about.

(47:11):
That's what I've talked about all off season that I
think he's going to come out of the gates on fire,
because I mean, where else is the ball gonna go
Quadrea Allison? Dan. I went back and looked at my projections.
I had Quadrey Allison projected for two point nine yards
per carry, Like it was not going to be good
for this running back stepping into a large role, But
that was what I had to do because you can't
give Mike Davis three hundred carries on this season. It's
not gonna last. So I think their plan here is

(47:34):
to keep Mike Davis a little bit fresh. Now. I'm
still fine taking Mike Davis where he's going in drafts,
Totally fine with that. But I think that Wayne Gallman
is going to be involved in this offense here and
it's Cordarrell Patterson is the only other running back on
this roster. It is Mike Davis and Wayne Golman. You're
not going to find a potential starting running back in
this range of years draft here outside of like Wayne Golman.

(47:57):
It's just not there. So I think that if you
are drafting this weekend and you have at least a
little bit deeper of a draft, if you're draft in
sixteen rounds or whatever. I still think that you can
draft Wayne Golman in the sixteenth round, but I wanted
to take him here as my last pick to be
able to illustrate and get your guys's thoughts on taking
the shot on Golman. Well, I don't know if you
can wait that long because I think people really talked
about goallman now. So if you're if you're in a

(48:18):
league with a defense and a kicker and stuff like that,
and you want to take them ahead and then Gallman
in the last round, I don't think necessarily you can
get away with that from what I've been seeing, Dan,
what do you think about that? Because you are the
Mike Davis owner, I believe in this draft. I am
how shade at you? Yeah, I don't understand realistically, Like
I've seen the talk about Wayne Gallman as well, and

(48:39):
certainly he's the primary backup at this point that you
have to take him. But I don't understand Wayne Gallman, surprisingly,
even though I didn't think he would, was relatively successful
last year filling in with the Giants, but he was
just cut. I don't understand where it's like, Okay, we
don't have any backup, let's just sign this, you know,
veteran backup, so we can have that on a team

(48:59):
that's going nowhere. Why anybody cares about him? I think
it's just gonna be Mike Davis. So I think it's
totally fine to take us your last round pick. You
guys should know where I'm going with this. My wide
receiver philosophy is they don't all have to be home runs,
is basically how I say it. So my last pick
is my guy Emmanuel Sanders, who I will take very happily,
as like my wide receiver one thousand. Staying on brand.

(49:21):
It's amazing how much you like a player who is
free all the time. I mean, maybe that's why you
like it. You just like free stuff. That could be it.
The grades are in here. I of course got a
C plus because the draft Wizard never cares for me.
Seventy seven out of one hundred, Dan Harris, how is
your grade? I got a B plus in theators Gonna
Yate Draft eighty nine out of one hundred. That was

(49:43):
the name of the draft. Yeah, I try. I try
to do nice things. You guys, you don't care I
am projected to finish fourth, two points out of third,
So I mean that's fine, but again not terrible, not
a terrible draft. You're projected at nine eighty one, that
is fourth place. I am ejected an eighth place, very

(50:04):
disconcerting at eight ninety four when I'm ahead of Kyle Yates.
How did this happen? Eight eighty four, ten points higher? Yates?
What great did you get? I got a seventy five
out one hundred, and I knew that was going to
happen because I'd reached on Trey Lance quote unquote, and
I took Wayne Golman in the last round, who again
is like not even on consensus boards yet, so and
he's still listed as a free agent. So I think

(50:25):
because this literally just happened, I knew that was gonna happen.
But I love this team. I mean, Matthew Stafford can
kind of run through the team, and Joe sure go
for it. So Matthew Stafford at quarterback, and then I've
got at running back sae Quon Barkley and Tonio Gibson,
Daryl Henderson, Melvin Gordon, Tony Pollard, and then Wayne Gallman
at the end at wide receiver, I've got Seedee Lamb,
Chase Claypool, Odell Beckham, Junior Lavisco Channault, and Jamison Crowder.

(50:49):
And then at tight end, I've got Johnny Smith, and
of course I've got Trey Lance and Matthew Stafford at quarterback.
Excuse me. So this team is just upside through and through,
and this is absolutely a team that I would walk
into my normal league with. Like I'm taking the shot
on Trey Lance. I'm getting him onto my roster early.
Wayne Gallman is a guy that I wanted to talk
about and get him onto my roster. Maybe I can
wait a round or two, but I think that he's

(51:10):
got upsided if something were to happen to Mike Davis,
and I think that he's going to be involved in
the offense, which you're not gonna find for a running
back in the fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth round of your draft.
So taking a little bit of reaches here, but wanted
to let our listeners know, like, this is exactly what
I would do in my normal draft, all right, And
you know what I mean. I like the team. That's
a team that would definitely be competitive. I don't care

(51:32):
what kind of grade you got But I would agree.
The Draft insights are fascinating. By the way, the hot
take it came up with ver mine under the Draft
Insights is Joe P's a pie of Fantasy Pros likes
your draft more than any other expert. And that is
enough for me. Yeah, that's all I need. As everybody
can see on the YouTube channel if you're looking our
hot take, Dan Harris and Fantasy Pros like your draft

(51:53):
more than everybody else brand here. That's what we do.
But but, but that's just because Dan Harris gave it
an a plus with ninety eight. You know who gave
me an a plus with the ninety seven. A young
man by the name of Joe pa actually liked my draft.
This is the first time I've ever seen that. Thank you, Joe.
I agree, I did have a good draft. I appreciate it.
You got it. You got a ninety seven from me.

(52:14):
I only gave myself a ninety one on the AC
I got an A plus. I got an a minus
for myself. I like you more than me. That can't
be true. It's true. That simply can't be true. Yates,
did I hate your draft? And I give you the
thumbs up with the thumbs down. Hot take, Kylie. It's
a Fantasy pros likes your draft more than anyone else,
so at least you're staying consistent. Guy. But I actually
do like that because everyone's the while I'll draft the

(52:36):
team that It's like Dan Harris really did not love
this draft, and I'm like, it's fair. You know, I
screwed that one up there. Yeah, I gave my grade
and ninety six out of one hundred. Uh and then
Joe Pisa Pa gave me an eighty eight out of
one hundred. I don't know, Joe, I don't know. That's
where I don't know where Dan's I obviously wasn't that
you could pick experts y eight it's on the top

(52:57):
right and pick experts and pick I don't care about
your opinion that I don't want a little mean, but
I appreciate all that good favors done. But like that's
why I love you can then really pick it apart
and I got it, and Yates just said this is
exactly what he wants to do. I specifically told you
before I started, this is not what I wanted to do.
I'm gonna go and take Kelsey and see if I

(53:17):
can make this work, because there's a lot of people
that want to do that, and I want to show
them a path to making that work. And I think
I did. I think I showed them a path where
you got two pretty good you know, if you take
Kelsey first. I ended up with two running backs with
Naja Harris and David Montgomery and Trey Sermon as my
third running back. So I made sure to solidify a
guy that I think has upside to grow as the
season goes on. Because Montgomery is safe and boring to

(53:38):
a certain extamp, I have Lamar Jackson out there. So
I made sure that if I couldn't get the wide
receivers I wanted, I wanted to get an advantage of
quarterback and I got that. But the wide receivers I
think will be fine Robert Woods, Corey Davis, and Tonio Brown.
Then Marvin Jones Junior, Russell Gage, Rondo Moore. I've got
Tony Jones junior, Justin Fields on the bench along with
Jamal Williams. Again, this is a team that I would
absolutely fight with. But one again, if I am down

(54:00):
there at the bottom ten, eleven, twelve, I typically want
to start with two running backs just the way Yates did.
Because I just think you'll like your team's better. Dan Harris,
let's run through your squad if you may. Yeah, this
was not the best draft that I've ever had, but
you know by far, I there were some missues, but
it's a decent team that I will take. Jalen Hurts
is my quarterback, Dalvin Cook, Mike Davis, my running backs.
Wide receivers are A J. Brown, Julio Jones introduced MS

(54:23):
sister with Waller as my tight end. My flex right
now is Damien Harris, and my bench is Michael Carter,
Jalen Waddle, Jacobi Myers, Tyson Williams, Emmanuel Sanders, and Joe Burrow.
So it's not a terrible team. And again, when you
draft from an earlier spot, it's difficult to screw it
up too bad. I made some missteps, for sure, but
overall this is a perfectly fine team and I'm willing

(54:46):
to take it into battle. But also a very challenging draft.
I mean, guys, we sit here all the time, we
talk about it like you can run all the mocks
and all the simulators and some other places. It's not
the same as the draft Wizard it's just not the challenge,
isn't there. And I think with this is it allows
you to go into your actual draft with a lot
more confidence because you know you're ready for when those
difficult moments happen. And Yates, we know that inevitably does,

(55:08):
but at the same time, the people are more prepared
for them seem to come out better anyway, And I
feel like that's what we're doing here. This wizard really
does kind of prepare you for that. And most of
the teams people are showing us after the draft are
stunningly good lately, Like all those screenshots you're sending us
on Twitter, they are phenomenal. I keep wondering, is anyone
else trying also in some of these leagues, right, Yates? Yeah,
I mean it's so much fun this time of year

(55:30):
to see like people have been listening right, Like it's
it's been a rough month for us, right and you know,
we've just been cranking out content, doing our best with
tags in the hospital. But to be able to see
like people are still listening to us, people are taking
our advice. What we're saying actually is mattering and making
a difference. Like it's good to see that. So please
keep the posts of the screenshots coming of your teams.

(55:52):
Let us know how your draft did. We love hearing
that stuff. An old teacher used to say, the proof
of the pudding is in the tasting. And you know what, man,
will you go in there and you work, and you

look at that great I just got when I put
it back into the projections and there you go. I mean,
the work pays off. And again, if you are going

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
