that big trophy from trophy Smack. Gentlemen, Week two is
upon us. Let's get to the names. And the first
one the waiver Wire out of the week for better
or worse, We're gonna discuss him. It's Hollywood Brown. And yeah,
(02:26):
Hollywood Brown had himself a day. Xavier Worthy went bye bye.
Travis Kelce took him out. He heard that it was
Taylor Swift's favorite UH draft pick and he said, no, no,
I don't want any competition here going around. And unfortunately
Xavier Worthy is injured. But Hollywood Brown stepped up in
his absence in a big way. Ninety nine yards, sixteen targets,
(02:48):
ten receptions. So Pat I want to start with you
with this one, because if you look at the roster
percent ine on sleeper he's thirty one percent roster. He's
available in seventy percent of leagues. But Hollywood Brown also
never the picture of health necessarily, on top of which
we don't know as of now, when Xavier Worthy is
coming back the extent of his injury and Rushi Rice
is due back. So this is one of those classic
(03:10):
moments where the rubber meets the road and we have
to look at this and say, Okay, how much do
I need this player for next week, the week after
the month of September perhaps, and how much am I
willing to spend and set myself back just to get
Hollywood Brown, who's presence in this offense could be short lived?
So how do you approach Hollywood in week two?
Speaker 2 (03:28):
He is best selected by people who need short term
production because Rashi Rice we know he's going to start
with the six game suspension. Once Rice comes back, I
think Hollywood's value basically evaporates, and Xavier Worthy, depending on
the severity of his dislocated shoulder, could either be two
(03:49):
to four weeks if it's just dislocated, or if there's
a labor tear with it, he could be gone for
the season. So at minimum, it seems like you're going
to get a two to four week runway with Hollywood
Brown here. But that runway is really attractive now. A
lot of those receptions he had were just kind of
short nothing Burgers. There was just the long reception where
(04:09):
the Chargers completely lost him on defense on Mahomes scramble.
And ideally I don't think Hollywood Brown is your catch
and run guy considering that, you know, he's built like
an eighth grade boy basically, and you don't want him
taking all those shots. But it seems like he's going
to fit into that role. And the guy they were
(04:30):
throwing too deep was Taekwon Thornton. I just wonder like,
is there a chance that maybe they start using Juju
more in that role sort of the catch and run guy,
But there might be a lot of catch there.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
I don't know how much run there is going to be.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Hollywood Brown can at least, you know, get loose and
make an explosive play with his speed, So I do
think the target outlook is very bright for Hollywood Brown
in the short term. So if you need immediate help,
I think he's worth a fairly decent sized spend on Waivers, Deebro.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Talk to me about Hollywood Brown, and then also talk
to the people who have Xavier Worthy and what that
premium should look like if you're trying to get yourself
a little of insurance here in the next couple weeks,
because chances are, when you take a zero from Xavier Worthy,
it's a good chance you lost your matchup like that
just happens, unless you got kind of lucky with some
other things really went your way and didn't go your
opponent's way. So you're staring at zero to one, You're
(05:19):
staring at Worthy missing time. What does that premium, if any,
look like for you on Brown, and talk to you
about your evaluation of the player as well.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
I mean, dude, sixteen targets is sixteen targets? I understand.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Like that's the point.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
The ending stat line was greatly helped by the blown
coverage play that Patty just talked about, But I mean
still a forty a forty one percent target share, a
forty percent first read share in that game, which is
going to continue until Rice is back, because I mean, yeah,
like to Patty's point, Juju might be the more economical bid,
(05:52):
but I mean, Hollywood has the role, and so honestly,
I think you put in bids for both these guys,
but we know that you're gonna have to bid agres
to get Hollywood. And if you have a team that
whether you're staring at Xavier Worthy or maybe you have
Drake Lunnon because he's also dealing with a shoulder injury.
We don't know how how long he's gonna be out,
So if that's a week or two, or if you
have Jordan Addison and you're looking at a plug and
(06:14):
play until he is back. This all comes back to
should you a bit aggressively on Hollywood? Yes, if you
need the short term replacement. I do think the shelf
life we know is going to be short lived. It
might be one game with this type of usage, but
he's still going to command, probably while Rice is out
a twenty to twenty five percent target share. I mean,
(06:36):
come on, guys, like sixteen targets we're probably looking at,
you're probably gonna spend at least twenty percent to honestly
and in most realities, to get him.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Am I wrong?
Speaker 1 (06:48):
There?
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Probably not.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I don't think he's wrong of that.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
I'm not saying to spend it. I'm just saying that's
probably the line of dermarcation.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
But pat, I think that's the thing like if you're
oh and one, I think you spend and your own
you have worthy and maybe even rice, and you had
a bad loss, you don't like the way your wide
receiver group looks. I think that's when you pay the premium.
Other than that, I think I might let this one go.
What do you think go?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
If it's going to take twenty percent, I'm pretty much
out even if I need them.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Patty, do you.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Think it's going to take twenty percent because that's kind
of where I'm at considering the sixteen targets.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Yeah, thing, I agree with it, But I mean so.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
In our waiver Wire article, we always offer three bids,
a true value bid, a desperate need bid if you
badly need a player you need to get this guy,
and a budget minded bid where you're just kind of
price enforcing, maybe trying to get a player on the cheap.
Our desperate need bid for mar Keith Brown is sixteen dollars,
and I think that's a pretty good limit, Like I
wouldn't want to go over that for my Yes, say same.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
Which means we're probably not going to get a lot
of exposure to him, Like I'd rather take the cheaper
options of like if Theelan's sitting out.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
There or Juju for like zero agreed, fair enough, All right,
let's move on to the running backs here and let's
talk about those guys. And I'm going to bring up
somebody that again. I can feel the YouTube comments. This
guy's rostered in all my leagues already. I get it,
bro I get it. Stop relaxed. Okay, there's other leagues
where he's not, and I could prove it with something
called roster percentage. Okay, so just chill. Dylan Samson fifty
(08:13):
two percent rostered for the Cleveland Browns in sleeper leagues. Now,
you have to understand, a sleeper has a lot of
dynasty formats too in it, so a lot of people
are playing dynasty there, so those percentages are always typically
a little higher. But on sleeper he's just forty six
percent rostered. And I feel like the Quinn Shawn Judkins
signing might have also had a lot of people in
this first week maybe dropping Samson looking for other things
(08:33):
on the waiver wire on even the weekend, and then
probably immediately regretting it afterwards because Samson looked very sharp
in that game, and he is a player of note
and a prospect of note. So debro let's talk about Samson.
Let's say you're at a ten team league, because I
think that's also something that you're seeing the roster percentage
a little bit under where it should be based upon
you know, Yahoo has more ten team leagues and say
(08:54):
sleeper might So talk to me about that situation here
with Dylan Samson and what you think this backfield is
gonna look like because we still don't have guarantees quin
Shawn Judkins, remember, still has to meet with the NFL
and probably's gonna get some sort of disciplinary action. You
might not see him to week eight or god knows
when potentially too. Let's not pretend like all is just
well there with this backfield, Judkins, So talk to me
(09:14):
about Samson for a minute.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
I mean, dude, it was very encouraging to see his usage.
I mean, to out carry Jerome forward in the first
game of the season. I didn't see that coming. I
thought he was gonna play on passing downs. I didn't
see the early down share with him lead the team
in carries. I mean, dude, he got twenty total opportunities.
He had ninety three total yards. And I'm not telling
everybody that, Okay, the eight targets, the almost eighteen percent
(09:39):
target chair, that's not gonna probably replicate week over week
over week. But still we know he's the passing down
back in this offense. That is was emphatically true. And
if he's gonna also have the early down stuff, Yes,
to your point, Joe, Like, I'm not sold. When do
we see quin Shawn Judkins, Like this is also a
player like cool, he signed this contract, He's still dealing
(10:00):
with disciplinary stuff. The investigation is still going on. He
missed all of training camp, all of training season. So
that's what I keep trying to tell people like bro,
that takes a long time. Well, dude, The other part
about it, too, is like, and this is what I
keep kind of like going back to if Cleveland tries
to ramp him up too fast for a player that
missed all Like, he has not been involved in anything
(10:21):
since mini camp. And I'm not saying he's like sitting
on the couch like crushing funions and stuff. But still
there's a difference between being in gym shape and football shape,
and we see how many of these guys ramp up
too quickly and then pop like a hammy or something
like that because the ramp up is too quick. So
like with Samson, he's the leader of the backfield, dude,
like he could be the leader of the backfield for
(10:42):
most of this season. And even if he's not the
leader of the backfield, we know he will have a
standalone role on this team and in this offense. So
as a viable flex play, especially in PPR leagues, like sure,
Dylan Sampson, do your best, dude, Johnson, Dude, you could
be an RB two, RB three on a weekly basis.
Strong flex play like I think twelve to fifteen percent
(11:04):
is probably warranted. And yes, if he's out there in
Yahoo leagues like you're in ten teamers or eight teamers
and stuff, pick him up, drop your kicker, drop your defense.
Go ahead, get the added RB depth because if nothing else,
there's a lot of teams that are hurting, like all
my Kenneth Walker teams right now?
Speaker 1 (11:19):
What am I doing with those players? Oh we'll get
to that. Oh not true. I'm sure the live stream
will have a long conversation about that. On Tuesday, Pat
you're in jim shape and football shape. Talk to me
about Dylan Samson if you would for a second here,
and what he means is Cleveland backfield and to ten
team leaguers too, who are out there and he might
be on the waiver wire, how aggressive they should be
on him.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yeah, I'm I'm maybe a little less bullish on Dylan
Sampson than debro Is.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Okay, you know, I.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Maybe Quinchin Judkins is going to get like a three
game suspension, although I don't know how the NFL would
suspend him when there were no charges filed in this case.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
We'll see about that.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
I mean, that's lee stuff I probably shouldn't be speculating
on since I do not have a lat of degree.
But here's the thing that worries me a little bit.
Bank Or Brown's running backs yesterday had twenty one carries
for it looks like forty yards twenty one for forty
under two yards per carry against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 3 (12:22):
So I don't know what sort.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Of role we can count on for Sampson in this
running game. I don't know how effective that running game
is going to be. I know the Browns aren't going
to score a lot of points. The one thing that
is encouraging is that he got eight targets, caught all.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Of them, and had sixty four yards.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Like I thought Jerome Ford might be the passing down back, No, Sir,
Dylan Sampson was clearly the passing down back. Ford had
one target, one catch for negative three yards. So that
does give Sampson a little bit of a safer floor
and some standalone value perhaps, although I mean even even
(13:00):
without Judkins back, I think it's real marginal flex value
for Samson. So I'm not putting down a big bid here,
A honest one, but not a big one.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Okay, let's move on to the next player. So also
kind of in that same vein as Samson, a guy
that probably is rostered in a lot of your leagues,
but if he's floating out there. Trey Bentzon fifty four
percent rostered on sleeper leagues and in Yahoo just thirty
nine percent, and after yesterday, Pat deebro, I think we
should all be rostering Trey Benson if he's STI floating
(13:31):
out there. Is that a hard degree for everybody? We
don't have to talk too much about this one. I
think that's pretty obvious. Okay, So again we're just trying
to help everybody here, the people in the shower leagues
and the people in the deep leagues too. Don't worry.
There's gonna be some five percenters here coming up in
just a second. You're gonna love it. Okay for all
of your nerds out there. Let's get to so Samson
Benson off the docket. Let's talk about Kyle Manongai. We're
not gonna see the Bears till tonight we're recording this,
(13:53):
but fourteen percent rostered and then kind of gained well
five percent roster. Now, these are two guys lower down
on the trough that are still floating around there. If
you need some running back depth Gainwell, we did see yesterday.
So pat look the Caleb Johnson situation where we get
talk in a second, because I think he's gonna be
one of the most dropped guys. I'm gonna buy low
everywhere where he still is a rostered I'm gonna pick
(14:14):
him up where everybody drops him. I'm not gonna believe
in Kenneth Gainwell, but after yesterday's game, I don't believe
enough in Jalen Warren necessarily to say that I'm done
with Caleb Johnson, but I think a lot of people
will be reactionary to that. Talk to me about what
you just sawt of keV Gainwell. Do you think he's
more viable in fantasy leagues? Do you think this is
just one of those week one wonders?
Speaker 2 (14:34):
He has been number two all along in the preseason
for Pittsburgh, and you wonder when Arthur Smith might flip
the switch and turn to Caleb Johnson. Who gives them something?
I think that neither Jalen Warren nor Kenneth gain will
do in that backfield a little bit of a power edge.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
But Gainwell has been a pretty effective back for the.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Eagles in a very limited role, and now he's getting
more than a limited role. I just do you really
want to who try to predict Arthur Smith's running back
usage from week to week?
Speaker 3 (15:05):
That's that's the issue.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
I have the same idiotic Arthur Smith that was playing
Dion Lewis in a handcuff situation Derek hen with a
time share back in Tennessee with Derek Henry. Derek Henry,
what are we doing here? Arthur Smith?
Speaker 3 (15:19):
So, I mean that's a thing.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
So maybe Kenneth Gainwell's role persists for a while and
he has more value than we anticipate. Maybe, but I'm
I'm not really I'm not really eager to ever want
to make the decision to put Kenneth Gainwell in my lineup.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Joe is what it comes down to.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
And if you don't want to start a player, you
probably should not spend valuable FAB money on him.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
De Bro, talk to me about your thoughts on Gainwell,
and then any love for kyleman On guy, like trying
to get ahead of things maybe tonight and you know,
just kind of stash him for you know, cheap if
you've got roster space, if you're available to do that.
And because Roshawn Johnson hasn't been healthy all camp, but
no on guys has some injuries too. But we've always
seen that, you know, Ben Johnson likes to use multiple rbs,
so Deander Swift can't be the only probably being used
(16:00):
in that backfield tonight.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Yeah, you need to be getting ahead of a wa
Kamana guy like I think he is gonna be the
RB two, if not already the RB two. Like what
press clipping have we seen about Roshawn Johnson? The entirety
of the preseason in training camp, they literally have not
talked about him at all nothing. So I think looking
at it from also fading DeAndre Swift, like I was
(16:22):
out on him in the offseason, and so you need
to be adding him absolutely. But the other part about
this is, yes, to the game well stuff, I'm not
adding him off waivers. Like I understand he got ten opportunities.
I understand he played fifty three percent of the snaps.
I don't think any of this persists like in the
long term. And I'm not saying that like Arthur Smith
isn't going to Arthur Smith hard. I mean, we saw
(16:43):
John U getting his same usage. We saw Pat Frarmth
shoved into basically nothingness yesterday, So Arthur Smith is going
to Arthur Smith. But the other thing we also saw
is the Pittsburgh Steelers had no run game to speak
of yesterday against the Jets. So Gainwell is not gonna
change that. Like, I just look at this as, yes,
(17:03):
pick up Caleb Johnson every single place that you possibly can.
People are gonna drop him. To your point, Joe, and
I'm not gonna waste a dollar of fab on can
of game well, I'm just.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Not I know, we don't like to drop running backs,
especially this early in the year, but was there another name?
I just think Caleb Johnson is gonna be the most
dropped guy. But is there any debate there, Fitzie, or
do you think it's gonna be somebody else you know
that could be in that range too, that might get
dropped this week that you should pay attention to.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
No.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
I think a lot of people are going to spike
drop Caleb Johnson after his minimal usage, but you know
that's he He headlines the don't drop list in our
Waiver Wire article this week, like they spent a third
round pick on this guy.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
I know.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
I don't know if it's just sort of the old
school make the rookie earn it thing yep, But I
think eventually he's gonna earn it and have a role
in this backfield. It's just how patient can you afford
to be? But like right now, it's early in the season.
Didn't really have any major running back injuries and we one,
So if you don't have to drop them, don't drop them.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
All right, let's talk about the wide receivers before we do.

Coming up now are wide receivers, so let's discuss them. Gentlemen.
Let's start with a guy that Jake Seally and I
were talking about last week on the Stash Short. If
you missed it, go back and check the receipts. We
(19:50):
tried to help you, and luckily the roster percentage did
move all that much. But the needle has moved on
Cedric Tillman, so thirty four percent roster. And I want
to talk about him first because because Tillman had a
game where he had fifty two yards receiving on five receptions.
He had one receiving touchdown in that game too. He
looked good. He looked like he had a good connection
with Flacco, and everybody's always questioned the Judy Flacco connection.
(20:13):
That's why I have so much investment late in Cedric Tillman.
You guys are in leagues with me, you know how
that is. I've got him everywhere. So debro, let's talk
about Cedric Tillman and what it might look like as
we get further down the road here as he evolves
in this role with Flacco in this Browns offense.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
I mean, I think he had a really solid week one.
I'm probably lower on Cedric Tillman than consensus just because dude,
they had so many dropbacks and that could continue. I'm
not saying that it can't. Because this Joe Flack team,
they're going to be losing, they're gonna throw a lot.
But the last year and this year, the tons of
passing attempts covered up some pretty mediocre like market share
(20:51):
stuff like Cedric Tillman last or yesterday. I mean, yes,
he got the eight targets, he tired for the team lead.
That was only a seventeen point seven percent target chare.
He had one point one three yards per route run.
He had the fifty two receiving yards, so it was
a solid day. I'm not saying that it's not The
touchdown definitely kind of puts it over the top. He
could continue with this, but like, it's just not a
(21:12):
guy that I am enamored with it, probably as much
as other people are, because there is Joe to your point,
there's Cedric Tillman high out there. So like I'm willing
to spend like five or ten percent, Like you know,
I think he could be like a usable flex play,
but I'm not like over the moon on him.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
Well, Pat, what do you think about this take? Jake
and I were talking about this on the Waiver Wire
short this morning before we came here to do the podcast,
which was Fannin's presence in that week one game along
with Djoku's presence kind of hurt some of those intermedia
targets where Jerry Judy tended to eat last year, and
that opens up the deep ball stuff for Cedric Tillman.
And we know deep ball Joe Flacco likes to do that.
(21:47):
So I thought that was a pretty good process statement
there by, Jake. What do you think about that in
terms of Cedric Tillman's value going into the waiver wire
this week?
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Yeah, I agree with that take.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
And you know, to Deebro's point, yes, the Falcon Or
Flacco and the Bronze through a ton of passes yesterday.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
The pass volume is always heavy with Flacco though.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
That's just how an offense rolls with Joe Flacco at quarterback.
So I think we're going to continue to see a
lot of that. The one splash of cold water I
have for the Cedric Tillman enthusiasts his upcoming schedule at
Baltimore Green Bay at Detroit Minnesota. That's a pretty tough
run of defenses there.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
I don't know, kind of watch that Baltimore Ravens defense
kinda fall apart last night, right from my eyes, just saying.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
I guess I need to is this the part where
I own up and I give a little respect to
the Packers cornerbacks as bad as I talked about them previously, Patty.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
You know what they play good?
Speaker 4 (22:44):
I mean, dude, like the Lions looked lost yesterday.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
I got to own you know what the Lions looked like,
and I said this all off season, Debro. They looked
like a team that lost two coordinators. And that's something
that every year.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
Enough really a problem.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
I tried to talk about that every time we talk
about the Lions and say, hey, look up when the
Eagles lost all these coordinators, Like it's just it's struggle bus.
It's tough to lose one offensive coordinator, let alone offensive
coordinator and your passing assistant guy and the defensive coordinator.
I think just a lot of turnover in one year
for a team, especially a team that hasn't won anything yet.
Sorry Lions fans, All right, let's talk about the Well
(23:19):
it feels like is what happens in the fall? Right, Pumpkins,
spice Lotte season comes back around Halloween, decorations come out,
and Quentin Johnston's on the waiver wire, and we talked
about him just kind of like what happens, so he is,
of course nine percent roster. Quentin Johnston had himself a day,
Let's be honest, five catches on seven targets for two touchdowns.
(23:41):
Fun you know, went back in time again, just kind
of bringing this over for the other show because it
was funny, and I went and found out more about it.
So I wanted to bring this year. I don't know
if you remember twenty twelve, September fifth, it was Kevin
Ogletree of the Dallas Cowboys having two touchdowns and everybody
running to the waiver wire to pick him up.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
I haven't heard.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
And after we had this discussion and Jake made that comment,
I came back around. I was looking at it and
one of the headlines, I kid you not. Tony Romo
threw for three touchdowns too to newfound favorite receiver Kevin Ogletree.
I don't think he ended up being the favorite receiver.
Just putting that out there. So look, we've been near
guys before with the Quentin Johnson stuff. Now you can
(24:23):
look at this two ways. He is realized that they
are ready to replace him. They bring in Keenan Allen,
they drafted Trey Hawers. He realizes he's on borrowed time
and he is stepping up his game and figuring things
out finally. Or this is just your classic one off
big game from Quentin Johnson. It just so happens in
week one where everybody hyperventilates, freaks out and overspends on it.
(24:47):
So Pat fitz Morris, which circumstance is it?
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Can I go halfway in between? Joe?
Speaker 4 (24:55):
You can?
Speaker 1 (24:56):
You can? I'll hear it. I don't have my judge
his wig, but I do have my gavel, so I'll
allow it to fantasy courts.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
Did you retire the judges wig? Was it times a sion?
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Well, I mean, you know, you want to make sure
you put the thing to rest, put it away for
a little while.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
So he played a healthy number of snaps, ran a
healthy number of routes. We like the target counts now over.
Since the beginning of the twenty twenty four season, Quinton
Johnston has scored ten touchdowns in his last sixteen games.
He is big and fast. We know he is really
dangerous with the ball in his hands. It's just you
(25:33):
know that the getting anyone knew his hands part that
can sometimes get a little bit of an issue. Not
the most reliable guy. But he looked pretty clean catching
the ball against the Chiefs. The only thing I worry
about is that, you know, Justin Herbert had thirty four
pass attempts in that game and the cheap the Chargers
had sixteen running back rushing attempts, which is not exactly
(25:55):
the Greg Roman m O type of game, and I
just I wonder how much that was matchup based. And
the Chiefs always have this really impregnable run defense, and
Roman just saying, Okay, we're not going to beat our
heads against that wall. We're gonna throw the ball on
this team, and that maybe makes the final target and
catch count for Quentin Johnston look better than it might
(26:17):
be in the weeks to come.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
You know, I was very public about this two offseason,
which is looking at Justin Herbert and saying like, I
think everybody forgot how good he was. And last year
was a new offense, and last year he didn't have
austin that quarter help have the stats a little bit,
And now is the second year in an offense, and
I think there's every reason to believe that I think
he could buck the trend that everybody thinks were It's
as well it's Greg Roman and we're never gonna throw
the ball and all that stuff. I think you're gonna
(26:41):
see a lot more of these kind of scenarios with
Herbert personally. So I understand that, you know, to make
a replacements reference here, he has a bit of a
was it the was it name Clifford Franklin, right, who
couldn't catch a football?
Speaker 5 (26:53):
Right?
Speaker 1 (26:53):
And he was like, you know so because Franklin to
catch a footballcau clif Franklin knows Orlando Jones, great performance
in the replace love that performance, but that's Quentin Johnson, right,
the wide receiver can't catch the football. You can get open,
you can do all these things. But he called the
football and he caught two touchdowns and everyone's going to
run to the waiverbwire to pick him up. So deepro,
what's the best course of action here when it comes
to QJ?
Speaker 4 (27:13):
Dude, I'm I'm I feel like I'm going to cut
a one eighty here. I was out on QJ the
entire offseason, and it's not the one game that's getting me.
It's it's what he did in the one game that
I thought was impressive and adding to what he did
last year, I mean I ignored, and I think a lot
of us did. I mean, come on, we all saw
the like everything throughout training camp was Qj's doing this,
(27:35):
Qj's catching that, he's having awesome practice after a awesome practice,
and I was like, oh, it's Quinn Johnson, It's it's
hardball whatever, man, Like, dude, what he did in week
one was impressive. Like, I know he got a twenty
percent target chair but two point one yards per route run,
a twenty four percent first re chair.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
And the thing for me.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Like when you look at even like you pop up
in the hood, you look at the deeper numbers. He
had a thirty point six percent route win rate in
week one. I think this is more real than fiction
here now. I I and dude, I was surprised. Like again,
the thing about it with with to your point with
Greg Rohman, what what really got me about this offense?
(28:17):
I saw like a wide range of outcomes in the offseason,
Like I was tweeting about this like in the offseason,
and I'm like, this offense either goes back to being
everything that we've always thought with Greg Roman, or maybe
they do go pass heavy. Because I was like, if
you look back even to last year, everybody's like, Oh,
it's because the running back injuries and and that's why
they passed more and stuff. Can we also talk about it,
(28:38):
like Justin Herbert is the best pure passer that Greg
Roman's ever run an offense for Colin kaepern and Tyrod Taylor,
Lamar Jackson early.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Quote like early Lamar. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
Like if we were to ever even just like in
a bubble, say Greg Rohman has an eight or nine
game sample where he was they were pass heavy, everybody
would say, you're full of it, You're it's crazy. And
now we saw it again week one. Like guys, like
in neutral scripts in Week one the Chargers threw at
a sixty five percent clip. Well, even when they were leading,
(29:10):
they threw the ball seventy four percent of the time.
And I'm not saying that the leading part doesn't change,
because I do believe that Hampton's gonna get his run,
especially when they're salting games away. I think that was
more game script or game matchup specific, but the neutral
script stuff. This might be a pass first offense this year,
and all the Greg Roman stuff could get flipped on
(29:31):
its head yet again from what we saw last year
to this year. So QJ man like, I'm actually coming
in here saying we need to be more aggressive on this,
like if he stays healthy, even if there's like an
injury to Keenan Allen, because I mean, look, he's getting older.
I don't want him to get hurt. But look, aging
wide receivers don't have less soft issue stuff as they age,
So I hope he does stay healthy. But Quentin Johnston,
(29:53):
I'm more on the aggressive side, Like twelve fifteen percent.
I think this is more real than fake. All right,
he is just a ten percent roster right now too.
So QJ is available.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
And if you're hurting a wide receiver, you know, then
this is a spot you might want to consider. I
could bust out, you know, Fiftzy and I have seen
this show before. But Debro makes a lot of good
points of why it might be better. And sometimes when
your job is threatened, it does change your perspective and
your work ethic and what you're willing to put in
terms of time to get better at your job. A
couple guys to under twenty five percent roster to talk
(30:23):
about Romeo Dobbs, Calvin Austen of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and
I'm gonna talk about him again. Elk Aomanor twenty five
percent rostered as well right now. Now, Aomtor didn't do
a lot in terms of, you know, return on investment
on some of the targets, but he saw a lot
of targets Debro and to me, Aomanor is the most
intriguing one because I think he is right now the
(30:44):
number two guy. And you knew it was going to
be a slog and a tough situation there for cam
Ward going into Denver in week one was going to
be a disaster for him. I think things can only
get better for him going forward. He might be a
guy who can sneak him the wiver wire for like
a one or two bucks and I think could be
a very productive player or the rest of the season.
What do you think?
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Yeah, I agree, man. I think you take this batchel
of receivers and you put out like one to two
dollars bids. Whoever you get, you get, and you know
if you don't get any of them, you don't lose
any sleep. I do think that Elick is probably near
the top. I put him in Romeo Dobbs at the
top of like you know this little bucket of receivers
like I'm not again, I don't want to invest in
the Calvin Austin stuff Like, Look, it was encouraging to
(31:23):
see him play eighty percent of the snaps, but I
don't think that he I think this is gonna be
DK Metcalf and then everybody else is a weekly Who
the heck? Or you feeling comfortable about Romeo Dobbs Like
he was awesome, it was good led the team in
sixty eight receiving yards. But if we're gonna get the
version of the Packers for most of the year where
they only throw twenty two freaking times and it gets
spread across five different receivers and then you got five
(31:46):
guys running at least ten to fifteen routes, is that
really gonna do anything for anybody? So I agree with
Elex's probably the top of this as far as just
raw target volume moving forward. But this is the you know,
shotgun of pro coach to waiver wire, like put in
like two to three dollars worth of bad bids and
whoever you get, you get and if you miss out
on him, don't lose sleep.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Uh for you? Patty Dobbs Austin, a Oman, or any
of those guys intriguing to you.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
I'm intrigued by Austin, who almost looks like he could
have a Randall cob type role for Aaron.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Rodgers, Like. I think maybe there could be a little
more usage there than.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
You know.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
I don't know if it's just gonna be DK Metcalf
and the ensemble cast.
Speaker 3 (32:28):
Oh, I think Austin could become the two.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Oh sorry, I was just gonna say, you can miss
me on Dobbs with that committee usage at wide receiver,
and some of us on this show not named Derek
Brown thought Aomnor was a better prospect than Trey Harris.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
Ah, it's a perfect segue land with Tennessee Sir always.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Where Patty was on Aomnter. I drafted him in my
Dynasty leagues. I think it was good. I got him
really late in the fifth round in those leagues too.
He was just floating around there. He just a receiver
man receiver, a guy that I thought could grow and
and it seemed like a good situation to come in
with a rookie QB because sometimes when those guys come
in together, right like we saw Stroud and tanked del right.
Sometimes the guy's like yeah, Like they come in together,
(33:09):
they were mini camp together, they're hanging out together, they
build rapport together because they're the newbies, right, They're you know,
they kind of bond. It's you know, these are those
things that you know aren't in between the lines that matter,
and they've mattered to a lot of guys. Now, speaking
of Trey Harris, because of Quentin Johnson, because of Keenan
Allen's performance, it feels like he's a guy that's on
that drop wire. Would you agree with that? And should
(33:29):
people be dropping Trey Harris pat.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
He's Quentin Johnston's backup, So yes, Okay, I like him
for Dynasty, but for Redraft it's no value.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Okay, de Bro another guy, I'm saying he could get dropped.
I'm not saying he's going to but week one was
not very encouraging. Big name Cooper Cup. You think people
are gonna start dropping him potentially after week one? Just
be like nope, I'm sour. I'm done already after that,
I mean after last two years, and then after week one,
patience is running thin. Three targets, two receptions for fifty
(34:00):
ten yards. Your thoughts, I.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Mean it depends on who you're dropping him for. And
I'm not gonna say that to drop him for QJ
right now, I would That's exactly what I was gonna say.
I was actually like in my head, I was like,
all right, I'm gonna pose that when he brings it up,
But no, exactly I would be dropping in for QJ.
Like you see a game where Sam Darnold goes out
and he throws for such like one a buck fifty
(34:23):
and Cooper Cup gets three targets. That's it's concerning, man Like,
any way that you play this, it doesn't really come
out really well for for Cooper Cup. Yes, I would
drop Cup for QJ. And that might be I don't
know a hot take. I don't know a guy's like.
Speaker 1 (34:40):
Oh it's hot takey, it's hot takey. I can feel
the YouTube comments. Now, Fitzy, how about you? Do you
think it's hot takey? You'd rather have rest of season? QJ?
Cooper cups people.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
I put him on our do not drop list.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
I wish I could say I was like really firmly
committed to not dropping him.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
I'm not sure I am.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
I guess the one thing it has me holding on
is that he actually played more snaps than Jackson, Smith
and Jake, but yesterday like they want him to be
the starting receiver. I don't know if it was just
circumstances or whatever, but like, I'm going to give it
maybe one more.
Speaker 4 (35:12):
Game fits and QJ or Cup tell me.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
Oh, QJ, QJ okay say, I'm not that.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
I don't. I don't think it's crazy either, while you're
also talking about the offensive ecosystem being very different.
Speaker 4 (35:25):
Sammy, Darnold, Herbert or Donald.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
I mean, this is good.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
This is easy for me, so that to me, it's
a no brainer. And I think people will be sitting
there going much especially the good fantasy player will be
sitting there much more measured the way Pat fitz Morris
is discussing it, which is all right, it's one week.
Let's not go crazy. But Qj's out there. And if
you're in regular waivers and you have a spot where
you can change them out for Quentin Johnson, I mean
(35:49):
a man or. I don't know if you're ready to
do that quite yet, but I would be. But I
always like to get ahead of the curve on these
kind of things. Let's take a quick break in the

to the action. We're gonna try to help you with
some streamers. Now we're going to look at quarterback, tight end, defense,
(36:51):
and kicker. So already yes, not by weeks already, but
maybe there's some guys that you don't feel great about
running out there for a week two and maybe we
can help you with some of the Let's talk about
your favorite streaming QB for week two. Pat fitz Morris,
let's start with you.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
It's a rough week for streaming quarterbacks because some of
the guys people are itching to pick up, like Daniel Jones.
He goes against the Denver Broncos. Joe Flacco, who you're
going to get passing volume with. He goes against the
Baltimore Ravens, so.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
I know you can.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Get this guy for a dollar after he laid an egg.
I'm going to go with Bryce Young. He goes at Arizona.
I don't think it helped Bryce Young that they had
like a ninety minute weather delay. Doesn't that game so,
but he did provide forty rushing yards, and I think
he's going to have better passing days than he had
in week one.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
I like that buy back in and I like the
fact you brought up that delay was very long, very
difficult to come back from. Debro, give me a QB
you feel good about streaming in week two.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
Gina smith Man, The LAS Vegas Raiders are apparently going
to be pass heavy this year. Yesterday in neutral scripts,
they threw it a sixty eight percent clip boys. Gino
looked good. Three hundred and sixty two passing yards ten
point six yards per attempt. Ah, you know the Chargers
are gonna push the Raiders here. They're gonna have to
throw the ball, and they look very willing to do so.
(38:10):
So Gino Smith fire them up.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
Dee bro Let's talk about a tight end to stream
this week, and I know the name on your list
is one that I think is really intriguing, actually, because
if you consider the bad quarterback play in New Orleans, right,
or the limited quarterback play, let's put it kindly, and
the health of the wide receivers in that room, I
think Juwan Johnson's an interesting pickup, not just to stream,
(38:33):
but maybe even a stash. If you just don't love
how you ended up at tight end.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
This year, oh absolutely, Or if you're dealing with a
George Kittle injury or a Brock Bower's injury, like great, yeah,
all of these other injuries, man like, tight end kind
of quietly got decimated in Week one.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Well, it seems like Bower says, no big deal. I'm good.
But the Kittle one, I'm expecting Tim to miss month
like that.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Yeah, that's possible. And the Bowers thing, we're still kind
of waiting on confirmation. Seems like mcl so like one
to two weeks. But Juwan Johnson, I don't anybody here
would have been expecting myself included a twenty three percent
target chare like for him to come out there, and
he was behind targets behind only Chrys a lave And
then we we know they're gonna play the forty nine ers,
so like, say what you will about all the forty
(39:12):
nine ers injuries speaking of them, but they're going to
put up points. The Saints are gonna be trailing, and
Spencer Rattler's gonna be throwing a ton in this game.
So Juwan Johnson, yeah, pick him up, stream him this week,
especially if you're dealing with injuries a tight end.
Speaker 1 (39:25):
Yeah, there's no more Taysom Hill to worry about right
because of his injury. So you Juwan Johnson is flashed
some moments over the years, but the usage was the problem.
Because Taysom Hill we started to get into those red
zone areas. He became the gimmick guy. So usually tight
ends end up gaining value and to get to the
red zone. He was one of the few that lost
it because once you got down there, it was all
the gimmick plays and Taysom Hills stuff and all these
(39:45):
other packages they put out there. Pat. Who's a streaming
tight end for you in a week two?
Speaker 3 (39:49):
Oh, I'm gonna need one.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
I have so much Brock Powers, George Kittle and at
least one share of Evan Ingram So this week my, yeah,
ingram My Ti. Yeah, it's gonna be Renton Strange, who
had four catches for a team high fifty nine yards
for the Jaguars in Week one, and in week two
gets a matchup against the Bengals, who gave up one
hundred and eleven catches like I think eleven hundred yards
(40:13):
and ten touchdowns to the tight ends last year. And
we're pretty much smacked around by the Harold Fan and
David Nijokucambo in week one.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
All right, So in week two fits he's gonna teame
some Strange and then he's gonna give me a defense
that we want to talk about in week two. Who
do you want to stream on d Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Let's go with Seattle, and they are gonna be at
least a two week play for me because they get
a matchup against the Steelers. I know Aaron Rodgers did
a pretty good game, but he took four sacks in
that game and looked completely immobile.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
He took one pre Ron two. That quite a wait.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
Yeah, and I think Mike McDonald is a great defense
in Seattle, Like the personnel is really good. And oh,
by the way, in Week three, Seattle gets a home
date against the New Orleans Saints.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
There you go, all right, streaming d ME two debro,
you're up forty nine ers.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
I know that they are not an amazing defense, but
they played the freaking Saints, man, and to Patty's point,
like you could get multiple week utility out of them.
Like afterwards, they have a divisional game with Arizona, which
we always know divisional games are probably gonna be low scoring,
so a little bit in the mud. And then they
get Jacksonville, who did not look great in week one,
so you can get multi week utility out of San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
All right, give me a kicker debro for this week
to stream.
Speaker 4 (41:26):
I mean, start all your Ravens, including their Kicker Tower Loop,
come on down.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Yeah, go here you go doing the loop? All right, Fitzy,
how about you who's a kicker?
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Yeah, if you can't get Loop, go for the old
man Matt Prater three for three with the Bills and
his debut for them, and you know, like Baltimore, the
Bills were flying up and down the field last night.
Speaker 3 (41:43):
They're going to put a points this year.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
Crazy game last night, just crazy, same, super fun. It
was weird because the day was bookended by like one
of the oddest fun games that you never saw coming,
where the total was like by the time of kickoff
thirty six and a half and you have the Jets
and Steelers somehow found a way to amuse me beyond
belief even though I lost money on the under. And
then that night book ended by a game that was
(42:05):
just crazy where you get, you know, seventy five points. Unbelievable.
It's super fun there. All right, let's get to more
of the waiver wire ads before we do, just a

over at my playbook again, download the Fantasy pros app today.
All right, let's talk about waiver wire ads for those
people still do it the old fashioned way, not with fabs,
So let's rank them. Debro give me your top five
ads for week two.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
O'll go number one, just helping people in the short term.
Hollywood Brown. Two is QJ. Three is Dylan Samson four,
a name we have not mentioned to this point, but
he's out there in a ton of leagues. Adam Thielen
has good matchups. Again, if you're hurting a wide receiver
against Atlanta and Cincinnati after he plays the Bears and
the number five, go with Jawan Johnson.
Speaker 1 (43:01):
All right, fits of your top five for week two?
Speaker 2 (43:04):
All right, I'm going with Hollywood Brown number one by far.
Changing on the fly a bit. Kyle Mananga is going
to be number two. I like, I definitely want to
take a flyer on this kid. He was a warrior
at Rutgers and man like, he just has a tackle
breaking component that I don't think DeAndre Swift has, So
I would not be surprised if he passed Swift at
some point. I'll go Dylan Sampson at number three if
(43:27):
you're desperate, you know, there is that standalone value maybe
because of his passing game usage. Quentin Johnston at four.
Number five, Harold Fannin, whose usage was really eye opening
in week one, And look, I am obviously very intrigued
by a tight end who led FBS last year in
receptions with one hundred and seventeen and yardage with oney five.
Speaker 3 (43:49):
Hundred and fifty five.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
And like the fact that the Browns were dedicated to
using him pretty extensively in week one, Like Harold Fannin,
I want to I want to get in on the
ground floor of this.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
I agree. And it's always tough with those kids from
the smallest schools too, because, like you know, they get
judged fairly. They're like, well, he was really good, but
what was a competition like? And then they get to
the NFL and then they perform and you go, oh,
I guess he is just really talented. So, as Debro
alluded to, earlier, lots of tight end injuries fan and
absolutely a guy think worth adding and could have some
long term returns as well. And I'm so happy to
(44:24):
hear you speaking so nicely about my Jersey boy KLMN
on guy too, because I remember in July doing all
those drafts and last pick. I'm taking Ano guy all
over the place, and I hope it's true because again
he was pretty much by last pick everywhere. So fingers crossed.
We'll watch tonight and I'm sure we'll come back on
Tuesday and talk about that and all the other waiver
