Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy
Football Podcast. It is me Joey p Joe Pisapia, and
today we got a mock draft special for you. Oh boy.
It's half point PPR style. One quarterback, two running backs,
two wide receivers, two flex, a tight end and some
bench players. We're gonna draft them all today. And of
course when we do that drafting, we'll be using the
draft simulator. It's available right now because today's PPR should
(00:25):
say half PPR. Mock is gonna be used with our
mock draft lobby over Fantasypros dot Com slash Draft Wizard.
So if you haven't already download draft Wizards, start running
your mock drafts. I know you're gonna say it's only May.
That's loser talk. I don't want to hear it. We
start now preparing, and of course to help us get
through everything, we've got Scott Bogman joining us again from
(00:46):
our Dynasty Podcast. We have Debro Derek Brown, the King
of Bros and a real professional to even things out here,
Jamie Eisenberg from CBS to Fantasy Football Today. Crew. Jamie,
great to see you. We're so happy you're joining us.
I know you just came from one mock draft show
to another mock draft show. It's the life you live.
It's difficult. I wanted to get your take on this.
(01:06):
I heard a very fun statistic that Chicago has produced
a pope before a four thousand yard passer in the NFL. Jamie,
do you think Caleb Williams can finally break that streak?
Speaker 2 (01:18):
It's nice that you asked the Jewish guy that question.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
That's why I asked. See. I knew you wouldn't let
me down. I love you.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
He's got a shot. He definitely had a shot, you know.
I mean you look at everything that's happened this offseason.
This should be a big year for him. Hopefully he'll
be able to watch film appropriately now and everything will
go according to plan that you know did not happen
last year. But the increased weapons, the better coaching staff,
the better offensive line should be a big year for
Caleb Williams and our new pope as well.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
There you go, look at that.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
See got obviously, how could you fail?
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Speaking of Chicago legends, George went passed away yesterday. That
was kind of sad. Yeah, Norm and also the host
of the super fans, the Bears Bogs one of the
greatches of all time if you love football, and you
know who. We had to tell Ericson about that sketch.
We had to like let him know that was really
depressing box that we had to like fill him in
and send him to the Internet to go watch it.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
I mean, he wasn't even a twinkle in the eye.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, it's not surprising though he's thirty.
Speaker 6 (02:16):
Yeah, but I mean, come on, you know, Cheers, it's
not hard to miss some of these shows.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Well Cheers, I understand, but the super fans like the Bears,
like that's.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
Such an iconic are though, Well, I mean, what was.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
I guess he probably still have this thing called the
Internet that you can go to and get all these
things done.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Didn he die on the anniversary of the final episode
of Tears as well?
Speaker 4 (02:38):
He really I didn't, really did he? That's crazy?
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Oh see, that's why we bring you in. That's that's
a guest that comes prepared for a program.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
You don't have stats like that written down, Joe.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
So I'm like, even I know everything, Okay, So Ericson
doesn't get as much of a pass. Apparently this aired
in ninety one and ninety two. I think Ericson was
at least old enough, was he?
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
He wasn't born thirty. Now come on, I'm.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Gonna say he's okay.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Never mind, maybe I'm just making the opposite.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Newmat All right, this is the point where people on
the YouTube channel go skip to three ten, so you
just see the draft start here we go. Let's draft
the way. Bogman is in the one spot today, drafting
debro is in the five.
Speaker 6 (03:21):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Jamie Eisenberg is gonna be one O nine. I'm gonna
be one twelve at the turn. So I went from
the top of the draft to the bottom here. Uh
and uh Bogwin and I switched for this week. And
once again just want to remind everybody out there, the
multi user draft software is available for you. Public mock
drafts are not available yet, but the draft simulators out there,
so you can start working all of your draft practices

on those notifications so you know when new videos are
up and when you can claim your prize. Now, Bogs,
it's a half PPR. So with the one spot, you've
got to Jamar Chase. You got Saquon, you got Bijon.
I'm curious to see mister running back. Are you starting
RB here at the one spot.
Speaker 6 (04:24):
I don't have an issue with going with Saquon Barkley here,
but no, I'm going with Jamar Chase. I have been
a little bit swayed.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
You know.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
The four hundred plus touches between the regular season and
the postseason is a lot. Most of those guys get hurt.
It's just the history of the of the spot. So
I don't mind going with I don't mind going with Saquon,
but for me, it has to be Chase here.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Deebro I saw your rankings get posted earlier the running
back group on Twitter for you and Saquon not one
or two, and I'm sure that's causing quite a ruckus
on the social media. So is it just the four
hundred touches? Is that what we're i to you here?
It's the four hundred touches.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
It also comes down to the fact that, like his
tackle breaking metrics also slipped kind of basically last year.
I mean, the offensive line did Saquan a lot of
favors in the sense I mean this guy was facing
he was getting three to four yards downfield before even
getting contacted on average. So while the Eagles are still
going to feel the top five offensive line, if Saquon
(05:26):
takes a further step back, if the Eagles decide to
throw more in the red zone with the tush push.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Just it's still a thing boys as of today. So
it's just it.
Speaker 7 (05:36):
All leads me to somebody else because we see this
as a war of attrition every single year in fantasy.
The RB one of last year doesn't usually repeat, if
not ever repeats, So pick your new flavored azure of
RB one this year.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
I did see they are changing the rules again on
the on side kick, you have to send a handwritten
letter to the opposing coach three days. With sinder Raven,
I think it's three to five business days if you're
going to do an onside kick. I think that's a
new one, all right. So we have Jamar Chase going first,
Bijon Robinson going second, to Team two, Team three taking
Saquon Barkley, justin Jefferson at the one oh four, Debro
(06:08):
you went wide receiver at one oh five? Who was it?
Speaker 5 (06:11):
Ceedee Lamb man?
Speaker 7 (06:12):
I mean, I think the addition of George Pickens really
makes a huge difference for the Dallas passing attack. Here,
we're last year looking at like basically every defense could
just say, well, if we take care of Ceedee Lamb,
we don't have anything else to worry about. So the
addition of Pickens this year keeps the defense is honest,
and Ceedee Lamb still has wide receiver one overall upside
and his range of outcomes.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
All right, range of outcomes that's one. You get three
this show. You can you get three ranges of three three?
Speaker 5 (06:36):
I mean done with that by around three.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
That's when I do the DraftKings read all right, six
for that paman Rossaint Brown goes at one o six,
then Jamier gives it one oh seven, Ash and Genty
at one o eight. A little RB run there, back
to back. Jamie Eisenberg, you were at the one oh nine.
You selected Puka Nakua. Let's discuss He's got Davante Adams
there for some extra help. So what are your expectations
for Puka here in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
I still think he's going to be the alpha in
this receiving corps, and you know it's first off, there's
gonna be opportunities for both these guys. I think you know,
you've seen Matthew Stafford, you' seen Sean McVay. I think
we kind of forget that at the start of the
Cup era was Cup and Robert Woods, and Woods was
still a very good fantasy receiver. And even last year
when Cup before the final of basically three games when
(07:21):
he disappeared, was still a very viable fantasy option. So
I think there's opportunities for both of these guys to
still be successful.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
But I think Puka is.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
Still the one if Adams is the one A and
just love the setup for him. I know he's talking
retirement already, which is just so hard to deal with
that when he's thirty, he's going to hang it up.
But he's got a few years before he gets there,
so I think for at least twenty twenty five, he'll
still be the best receiver on the Rams and still
worth taking in this spot.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
You hear that Ericson still got a few good years
left since you're thirty. Nico Collins at one ten, Malik
Neighbors at one eleven. I am at the turn. I
took Derrick Henry. He's pretty good with the touchdowns last
I checked, and he just got a contract extension too.
Let's go follow the money boys and girls. Brian Thomas
Junior was still there as well, so I'm very happy
with this start. I was tempted to take McCaffrey, but
(08:04):
I don't know. I just it's may. I'm not there yet.
I need to see a little bit more. I don't
trust the forty nine ers, but luckily I do trust
Jamie Eisenberg, and he took McCaffrey. So in between Brian
Thomas goes, then Jonathan Taylor at two O two two three,
Devon eight chan, and then Jamie you took McCaffrey, So
let's talk about it. Last year, we got bamboozled, we
got hoodwinked, we got fooled about what was going on
(08:26):
with Christian McCaffrey. So I know it's a huge risk reward,
and at least right now, it looks like you're willing
to take that risk.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I am, you know.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
I think you look at what the setup is for him.
Obviously there's concerns. We saw it last year how bad
things can go, but you also know what the upside
can be and doesn't take long to go back and
look at twenty twenty three. So if he is healthy,
he could be the best player in fantasy, not just
the best running back. So when we get to the
back end of round one, the beginning part of round two,
I think it's worth the risk. You know, obviously you
have to try and cover yourself. So I'll be probably
(08:57):
aggressive in this draft, and any draft I take McCaffrey
of taking Isac Grint. And if you don't take McCaffrey,
it's worth your time to spend a pick on Grendo.
But you probably just you know, move it up a
round or two, depending on how much you want to
secure this backfield. We know what Kyle Shanahan produces, and
we saw it with Grenda last year.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
We saw Jordan Mason last year.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
You know, it's just the tried and truth system that
when you get a good running back in it, that
running back is successful. When you get a great running
back like McCaffrey, you get elite production. And so as
of now, everything is pointing in the right direction and
I think at that spot it's worth the risk.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Rock Powers at two oh five, two o six, A J. Brown,
Bucky Irving and then Debro going back to back wide
receivers to start his team Drake London at two o eight,
So lamb in London. That's a pretty good beginning there. Debro.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
Yeah, man, I'm feeling good about it. I love that
London fell to this spot.
Speaker 7 (09:41):
And whether it's PPR or half PPR, I think that
we see an even higher ceiling for Drake London in
this year with Michael Pennix. I mean you saw just
the small snippet we got that the A dot increase,
the arts per route, running crease, receiving yards per game,
everything was pointing up. They are firmly up for Drake London,
even in a set like this where we're going half PPR,
(10:02):
so we're kind of chasing touchdowns. We're talking about a
wide receiver that I'm able to get right here. That
was third in the NFL in red zone targets. So
nine touchdowns last year could be in the double digits
in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Trey McBride the second tight end going off the board
at two oho nine, than Josh Jacobs at two ten,
Lad McConkie at two eleven, and Scott Bogman. Back to
back picks, you went wide receiver and running back JSN,
Jackson Smith and Jigba and Brice Hall at three oh one.
Let's talk about it.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
Yeah, I was upset the way the board fell.
Speaker 6 (10:27):
I was kind of hoping that one of London McBride
or Jacobs would fall to me, maybe even Lad, and
they were the four picks in front of me. JSN
is still a decent pick, obviously going to be the
number one in Seattle now, decent amount of receptions. Should
just we should really see his breakout this year. And
then I just wanted to steady Eddie at running back,
So give me Breece Hall here. I didn't have one yet.
(10:50):
I still think he's one of the better running backs
in the league. I know the guys behind him are good,
he's better, so I still think they're going to have
to rely on him a lot, and he has a
good running mate in the backfield.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
Now in justin fields.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
We've also heard some you know, grumblings and grumblings about
a little bit more committee usage. I don't know, Box.
I understand you want to keep Breeshall healthy and you
want to get some other guys active, but it still
feels to me like Breese Hall is gonna get the
lion's share of the carries here in terms of talent.
Do you agree with that?
Speaker 6 (11:18):
Yeah, I mean, I think in NFL coaches we get
this coach speak all the time about how we're gonna
use more committees and we're gonna, you know, vary our
carries and stuff like that, and just so rarely happens
when you're in a close game. Most games in the
NFL are close. It's hard to take your best player
off the field, and he is the best player on
offense for them outside of maybe Garret Wilson.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Rushie Rice goes next to three zero two, then Tyreek
kill three, Zho three Team four, Celex T Higgins, and
then Debro you broke down and took a running back
Chase Brown.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (11:50):
I mean, look, I'm not going to say that I'm
over the moon for Chase Brown. The CMC light usage
that he got last year is definitely still possible for
twenty twenty five. I'm a little more concerned about it
that maybe that doesn't continue. But even if we're talking
about Chase Brown, he's the sixty to seventy percent snap
back and he's the clear leader, still is a workhorse.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
It's still good value here going on forward here after
Chase Brown, Garrett Wilson goes, then Kyron Williams, James Cooked
to Team eight, and Jamie Eisenberg. You went wide receiver.
One of my favorite values from last year, Terry McLaurin,
who had a great season another year, another thousand yards
receiving for him in thirteen touchdowns. So that feels like
a pretty good value there at three zero nine.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Love the setup for him once again. You know, obviously
Deebo Samuel coming in is a little bit of a
concern if you're worried about maybe some targets going to
other players based on what we saw last year bringing
back Zach Ertz, I know, a guy that Deebo's very
fond of myself. Included Ben Sennett getting a little bit
you know, kept at Bay. But I still think there's
so much upside for McLaurin as Jane Daniels just gets better,
(12:52):
you know. So what we saw in year one was fantastic.
Year two should be amazing, and the setup for him,
I think just continues to be fantastic. So very excited
to get Terry mclauran as a as a second wide receiver.
You know, I would take him as a first wide receiver,
depending how your build goes, but take him as a
wide receiver too, is still a really good spot.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Had Genty made it to you or Gibbs, would you
have taken them over Pooka in the first round.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, especially in half PPR.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Full PPR it's a little tougher, you know, but half
PPR I think getting one of those top five running
backs in the you mentioned. You know, we did a
draft prior to this. I had the eighth pick. I
took eight chan of eight just to see how that
would play itself out. And so you know, you get
these these wide receivers for the back end the round
one Pooka Neighbors Thomas, you know that that whole group.
I think they're they're special. But also you know, getting
one of those you know, top tier running back esecially
(13:37):
one the top five guys like Gentier Gibbs to me
is easy.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
All right. Would you still have taken McCaffrey then too,
or would you have pivoted to wide receiver? Just build wise?
Speaker 3 (13:44):
If I had gone running back in round one, it
would probably depend on dependent on who the receivers were there,
but I would have no problem in this format going
running back.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Running back.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Don't love it, but again, if it you know, just
playing it. Playing it back and you start with McLaurin
as as the as the first wide receiver on this
roster puts a little bit more of an emphasis on,
you know, building out that we're receiving corps. But in
the two receiver league, I think it's easier to go
runningack running back as opposed to three receiver league.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
All right, After TMC goes Josh Allen a three ten
that Michael Evans at three to eleven, I took Lamar
because he was still floating around there and can't say
no to Lamar Jackson, my number one quarterback on the board.
DeVante Adams my number two wide receiver too. Locking him
up was back and forth between him and Mixing, But
we always talk about it on the show. Here. It's
a wide receiver race, and if you don't have the horses,
(14:30):
you're gonna just fall behind eventually. George Kiddle at four
oh two as we begin the fourth round, Ken Walker
the third of four h three. Joe Mixon at four
oh four. Back to you, Jamie. So there's always a
few people in leagues that it's very funny when we
draft together the same board. Jamie Eisenberg and I. Every
draft we're in together live in person, we have the
same board. You me Adam Bronis is like a finite
(14:50):
group of people. I love this. This is what I did
last year. I took Derek Henry and Lamar Jackson to
control all the scoring basically in that Ravens offense. And
Mixon was that guy that was well contemplating him. Of course,
who took him? You did it four oh four. So
let's talk about Mixing as your number two running back
behind McCaffrey.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I mean, look, he was great last year.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
You know, I I think you look at they had
that little bit of a lull in the middle of
the season. You know, he's playing through some injuries, but
they really didn't do much. I know Moody's got an
opportunity to, you know, maybe take some touches away, you know,
Damian Pierce, Ogumawala, you know, these aren't really guys. I
think that threatened Joe Mixon's workload. You know, similar to
the Bristall conversation. You know, he should still be the
league guy, even if they're going to give some more
(15:29):
touches to you know, the second and third option there.
But just looking at this offense, I know the offensive
line is changing. It might be changing for the better.
You know, you lose a Laramy Tunsles. Not ideal, but
I think, you know, just trying to get a little
bit more talent across the board.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
I am expecting C. J. Stroud to be a little
bit better.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
I think the receiving corps based on where they're coming
from with losing Digs and obviously the Tank Dell injury,
you know, just replace them with you know Higgins and
Christian Kirk and Noel you know they're they're going to
have hopefully some more talent just from a depth standpoint,
but you know mix is still gonna be the catalyst here,
and still excited about him in this range. You know,
I don't want to reach for Joe Mixon, but you
know when you get to that Ken Walker Mixing, you
(16:04):
know Kamara, you know, right before the rookies I think
starts to come into play round four ish, you know,
especially in this format.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
To me, that's a good spot form.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Jayden Daniels at four oh five and Jalen Hurts a
four h six Alvin Kamara at four oh seven. De Bro,
you're up for your next pick, so I'm going to
pause the draft real quick. R J. Harvey is your
selection here. So you passed on Cuba Montgomery and a
few other of the rookie guys like Omri and Hampton,
quinch On Junkins instead you went with rookie r J.
Harvey is just a matter of for you. He is
(16:34):
by far the guy's going to lead this backfield because
he has to basically at this draft capital at four
oh eight he is.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
And I could have played the ADP game and try
to get him in the fifth round, sure, but at
this spot, man like, I feel like he's got a
similar workload floor as Cuba Hubbard and that he's going
to be there to do it all everything back. I'm
not worried about Audri chest May. I'm not worried about
Ulia McLoughlin. Those two players couldn't even carve out consistent
roles next to the ghost of Javonte Williams last year.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
So what are we talking about here?
Speaker 5 (17:02):
So, I mean, I look at RJ.
Speaker 7 (17:04):
Harvey that the floor is somewhere around top fifteen, top
eighteen running back, and the ceiling is He's an RB one.
So I'm willing to press the button here in the
fourth round, which could look aggressive, And I did get
the reach alert by the draft wizardman Like, it doesn't matter,
man Like, upside wins championships.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Gat you guys, get you guys were saying all the
time here. So after Harvey goes, Martyn Hampton goes well
before Naji Harris. So again, look at those rankings, look
at the expert consensus and what's going on there, Because
it's a long game. What happens in September is not
always how Fantasy championships are decided. Chris Godwin of four
to ten, chew a Hubbard to four to eleven, and
then Bogman two picks for you, a wide receiver and
(17:43):
a running back, DJ Moore of Bears, and then James Connor.
Connor coming off another really solid year. I feel like
we keep waiting every single year to say, oh, this
is the year where the wheels came off for James Connor,
and we're still waiting.
Speaker 6 (17:55):
He's the terminator, right, so, of course not. I mean,
he won't go down.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
He was so good.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
I mean, they drafted trede Bence and everyone assumed last
season it was to replace James Connor. You know, guy
that's had a lengthy injury history in his career. Looks
like he's on the back end. You know, the peak
age for running backs is twenty six is way beyond that.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
So but he just won't stop.
Speaker 6 (18:19):
He won't stop performing, and he was absolutely awesome last season.
They gave him an extension to keep him in Arizona.
He's going to continue to be the lead back there.
So I thought that was a decent pick in this juncture.
You know, I wanted to take the upside on Omar
in Hampton, but he went a couple of picks before me.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
And then DJ Moore.
Speaker 6 (18:36):
Look, I know there's a lot of traffic and a
lot of targets now in Chicago, but I think DJ
Morris is going to continue to be the leader here.
One hundred and thirty seven targets last season, just shy
of one hundred catches, and everything is going to open
up for everybody on the offense because there's so much
talent here, which could make DJ Moore even better. So
I know there's a lot of traffic there, he's still
(18:58):
the number one in the best wide out.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Speaking of number ones there, possibly Marvin Harrison goes next. Debro.
I sent you the the jacked up video. I don't
know what kind of good vitamins he's been taking this offseason,
but I got.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
David Boston vibes.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
When I saw that, I was like, you were hyped
up show, and I was like, I don't know, man,
he looks.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
Like a tight end.
Speaker 6 (19:20):
I don't know if he has chicken legs that David
Boston had them.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
That's fair. Yeah, well that's what ravishing Rick Rudy used
to say too. He's like, everyone sees just my upper body.
Why am I working legs? That was ravishing Rick Rud's
thing back in the day. Jamie, what do you think
of the beefed up Marvin Harrison Junior who just went
in this draft.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
I don't love it when you see players add you know,
too much muscle. And you know, we had this conversation
on our show. You know, is it weight or is
it muscle? You know, I mean he's obviously putting on
weight when he's adding muscle. So uh, the fact that
he struggled so much with contested catches last year.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Hopefully this will help him.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Hopefully they'll make some more you know, tackles and have
some better plays you know, after contact.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
But he didn't look as fast as he did. You know,
what was it?
Speaker 3 (20:01):
Maserati Marv was his nickname. And he didn't look like
a Maserati.
Speaker 7 (20:05):
Looked like more like mini van Marv any one.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
I hope they just do some different things with him
to put the ball in his hands as opposed to
just you know, his a dot being what it was,
and you know, giving him some shorter routes and some
just opportunities for him to use that muscle and and
make plays. I do think he's a little overblown in
terms of his production from his rookie season and it
being a failure. It's not every year that you're gonna
come out in a class with guys like Malik Neighbors
(20:30):
and Brian Thomas and Lad McConkie and some of these
guys that outperformed him. He had the same rookie numbers
as his dad, and his dad went on to be
a Hall of Famer. You know, different situation, clearly, in
different quarterback, all those things. But I don't want to
give up on Marvin Harrison. I don't want to call
him a bust. I still think there's so much upside
for him. So the fact that we were taking him
in round two last year and now we're getting him
in round four, I think is probably more suited to
(20:51):
where he should have gone. Hopefully he is able to
live up to those expectations. They did nothing to, you know,
take targets away from him. You know, Trey McBride and
Harrison just still get plenty of opportunities, plenty of chances,
and hopefully Kyler Murray can find a way to get
both these guys involved and played a very high level.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
And when he said we took him last year, he
meant me because I took him everywhere right around that
turn at twelve oh so many shares last year was
so frustrating to watch. Hopefully it's better this year, but yeah,
we had the same problem with Fitzmorris last year. He
came in all jacked up and I told him your
analysis a little slower this year, and I said, get
lean this offseason before you come here and pick up
(21:27):
that podcast microphone again. I don't want to see it.
Let's get to some more picks here after. We have
Marvin Harrison at five oh two. We had David Montgomery
five oh three, Judkins at five oh four, DeVonta Smith
at five five to you, d Bro, let's talk about
that selection here. Eight hundred and thirty three yards, eight touchdowns,
steady Eddie, your number three wide receiver. That's a pretty
(21:47):
good look right there.
Speaker 5 (21:49):
It is, man.
Speaker 7 (21:49):
I mean looking at the format two with US drafting
with only two wide receivers, having two flexes, just going
bpa here, and I know what I'm getting out of
Deavonta Smith, and that's gonna be a top twenty four
wide receiver every single year.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Next up Joe Burrow at five oh six and Travis
Hunter at five oh' seven, Zay Flowers at five oh way.
Then Jamie, you took Courtland Sutton who last year had
a very solid season. A lot of people discounted a
ton of Broncos. Now we got R. J. Harvey going
to Deeboro a couple of rounds ago, we have Courtland
Sutton going to U. Eight touchdowns, one thousand, eighty one yards,
eighty one receptions. Is there room for more for something
(22:21):
this year? Or is that you're just gonna be happy
with getting back to where we saw in twenty twenty
four stats.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
I'd be very happy with getting back to what we
saw from a year ago. And look again, similar to
Terry McLaurin, you know, it's banking on a rookie quarterback
getting better in year two. Jayden and Daniels to McLaurin,
same thing with bo Nicks to Sutton. And while there
are some other mouths defeeding this offense and the addition
of Evan Ingram is certainly solid. You look at what
Sutton has done in two years with Sean Payton, it's
eighteen touchdowns and you know, I don't want to chase touchdowns.
(22:49):
That's never something I like to build my fantasy roster round.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
But that's a.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Pretty tried and true number there for a guy that
you know is not exactly what I would consider a
big play threat, but a guy that can still hit
a home run every now and then. And I do
think you look at this receiving corps and there's a
lot to like about where Courtland Sutton's role is also
chasing dollars, you know, contract situation for him. So again
talking about a third receiver, a guy that you're looking
at in round five that still has top twenty upside,
(23:13):
To me, it was an easy.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Pick, all right. Next up here after Courtland Sutton, DK
metcalf Aaron Jones, and I took Xavier Worthy as my
third wide receiver in the half PPR like that big playability. Hopefully,
even though Rice is back, we could see Worthy continue
to grow in that offense. And then Tony Pollard a
kind of an underrated, under heralded season I think from
him last year over one thousand yards rushing, still caught
(23:35):
forty one balls, and I think a big leap forward.
Even though cam Ward is a rookie, he's far better,
I think statistically speaking, or going to be that what
they received at that quarterback position last year. So we'll
take some bumps and bruises along the way like every
other rookie. But I think cam Ward is a serious
guy with some serious talent. On DeAndre Swift at six
h two James and Williams at six' oh Three jamie
(23:55):
the other, guy of COURSE i was contemplating there Was Sam,
laporta so of course you took him at six. Four,
Now laporta a disappointing. Year you look at the first
season of the, draft capital, right he was a free
player ten, touchdowns eight hundred and eighty nine. Yards last
year that mark went down to seven. Touchdowns in the
yardage dropped more than one hundred down to seven to twenty.
(24:15):
Six so what does it need to rebound? Here is
it just a matter of health or is it a
matter of you, know maybe we don't know What laporta
is When Ben johnson's not.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
AROUND i guess we'll find.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Out you, Know for, me it was really what he
looked like in the second half by comparison to the first,
half because that's when the touchdown started to look more
like what we saw the year. Before his role seemed
to see appear like what it looked like the year,
before AND i just think you're talking about a guy
that's still going to be in a very highly productive
offense even With Ben johnson. Gone so there are a
lot of miles defeat obviously both running, backs you, Know
(24:47):
Saint brown and what is you, know being pegged as
a potential breakout season For Jamison, williams Which i'm not
sure is going to necessarily happen better than what we
saw from a year. Ago BUT i just think the
opportunity for him in this. Spot he he sort of
like the bridge tight end for. Me you, know you
look at those first three, GUYS i think they deserve
to be the first three, guys and then it's really who's, four, five, six,
seven you, know all the way. Down the role that he,
(25:08):
has and again the way that he finished the second
half of the season looking the way that he did
in the first, HALF i just like the opportunity for
him this.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Year it's officially the best time of year for hoops,

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Resources let's get back to the draft and see where
we are currently on that. Board After Sam, Laporta Isaiah
pacheco goes at six oh, Five Jordan, Addison George, pickens
And Debro yeah took Him Caleb. Johnson i'm Sure Scott
bogman was not too happy with this. ELECTION i think
it's great. THOUGH i love The. Caleb. Yeah, Yeah, LOOK.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
I knew he wasn't gonna make it back to.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Me that's part of. IT i almost took him Over Tony.
POLLARD i went back and. Forth now in your, rankings
do you have him Over? POWARD i.
Speaker 7 (27:13):
DON'T i let me, see it's really, close LIKE i Have,
okay so, NO i don't have.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
THEM i don't have him Over.
Speaker 7 (27:21):
Pollard but with the news today coming out About pollard
maybe sharing more of the backfield this year With Taja,
SPEARS i am probably gonna Drop pollard some in my.
Rankings SO i Think caleb is gonna make it Over
poward in my.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Ranks, WELL i love the bill that you're doing. Too
you have the big two wide, receivers and people, say,
well on HALF, ppr you want to get some more
of those running backs and control some touchdowns a little bit.
More but then you build out the running back room
With Chase, BROWN. R. J harvey And Caleb. Johnson so
you're taking advantage of the rookie class which is really
good at the running back position this.
Speaker 7 (27:48):
Year, YEAH i mean we're in this range OF rb.
THRE'S i, mean look at the guys Like Trevion. Henderson,
okay this is part of if this is FULL, ppr
MAYBE i Go travion Over caleb here and Then Brian
Robinson junior goes after In Tyrone. Tracy we're kind of
getting in very scary territory with running backs very. Quickly
and looking At Caleb, johnson, mean, dude But naji here
(28:09):
has got two hundred and ninety nine touches in this
offense last, year what's the floor For Caleb johnson two
thirty to forty two. Fifty we think he and pretty
much know he's probably gonna be the goal. Lineback that's
not going to go To Jalen. Warren so with however
you want to slice this, up he's probably AN rb.
Two he's gonna be the goal. Linebacker we're in HALF,
ppr we're going after. Touchdowns Caleb johnson just makes a
(28:30):
ton of.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Sense, yeah it certainly. Does all, right let's continue on.
Here After Caleb, Johnson chris o'lave at six or, Nine
Trevon henderson at six,' Ten Then, Baker mayfield bogman your consolation.
Prize Here No, caleb johnson but you Did Get brian
robinson at seven oh one and BEFORE That tj howkinson at.
Six twelve so talk to ME about TJ with jj
and how many initials and how many touchdowns those two
(28:52):
are going to create.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
This, year well it's still a pass, heavy offense right
and obviously there's a lot of targets, in There justin
jefferson one of, The Best jordan addison with a big breakout.
Last YEAR but i just see WHAT T j hawkinson
did on the. Back end, you know he had that
one hundred yard Game against chicago in, the playoffs he
had sixty four yards in. A score he's still a
huge part of, this offense and the titands were getting
(29:14):
a little thin, to me so was kind Of Hoping
sam laporta was gonna. Fall back Was Hoping caleb Johnson
Or trevion henderson we're gonna. Fall back i'm done picking on, The,
end joe so you Know we're i'm gonna be in
the middle on the next DRAFT because i feel like
two drafts in a, Row here i've gotten hosed a couple.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
Of Times But.
Speaker 6 (29:33):
BRIAN robinson i think is a decent pick in this
area because they didn't add anything to compete. With him
maybe you were disappointed with his year, last Year But
austin eckler is still. The backup they Only Drafted Jacorey
krossky merit in the. Seventh round he is still gonna
be the. LEAD back i think all the things that
(29:53):
deebro just Said About caleb johnson Applied To brian robinson junior.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
As well he's just he has a high.
Speaker 6 (29:59):
Floor four so, you know with the board the way
it was those are my TWO picks i made here.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
All Right After, Brian Robinson, calvin ridley And Then patrick
mahomes at seven, Oh Three tyrone tracy at seven, O
Four Debro. Evan ingram you Love the broncos, this year,
and look it's hard not To Like evan. Ingram HERE
the a dot is not exactly prolific For, bo Nicks
And evan ingram could be a huge beneficiary. OF that
i feel like he is going to be that guy
this year that. Gets. Hyped now a couple of years
(30:27):
ago you tried To Hype, darren waller You, and ERICKSON
and i yelled at both. OF you i yelled at you.
All summer i'm not gonna yell at you. THIS year
i Think The evan ingram hype is CORRECT and i am.
All in tell the kids Watching Why evan ingram is
a good selection at tight end.
Speaker 7 (30:42):
This. Year dude he honestly Could lead denver in targets
and if, that happens nobody should. Be surprised playing the
joker role in, This offense like we know where the
ball is going through. The air it's Gonna Be courtland
sutton or it's Gonna Be evan ingram and if we're
going to talk about just talent at their respective points of,
THEIR career i would bet on the Talent Of evan
Ingram Over. Courtland sutton so, we discussed like where he's
(31:03):
at CURRENTLY. AN ecr i got the reach alert in
this draft, For, THAT like i THINK his adp, is,
Wrong Man like i've got him as a top five.
TIGHT end i think he's got top three upside. This
year so reach, or not he's a solid pick.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
RIGHT here, I AGREE and i think tight end is
very difficult this. Year too, there's, yes yeah you're taking
shots on Guys like laporta to, bounce Back like. JAMIE
did i just took a. Tight end we'll get to
that in. A Second khalil shakir, Seven Six, Jalen Waddle.
CAM skataboo i was hoping he would make it. To
me he. Did Not, jerry judy look, At you Jamie
Reuniting courtland Sutton And. Jerry judy what a feel good
(31:38):
story that is on your roster last Year, with cleveland
certainly a strong second Half For jerry judy twelve, hundred
yards just, four touchdowns but with a crowded. Quarterback room
with seven thousand guys, in it how's that going To
Affect jerry. Judy season my.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Hope is That It's joe flacco for as many starts,
as POSSIBLE because i think that's his best bet to.
Have success as we saw last Year Once amark cooper
was traded and, Most Importantly jamis winston taking Over For,
deshaun watson we saw the best Of What jerry judy had,
to offer and there was a stretch there where he
was a top five. Fantasy Receiver so i'm not EXPECTING
that i would, love IT but i think there's the
room for him to get a ton. OF opportunities, i
(32:16):
mean you look at this. RECEIVING corps i Do Like
cedric tillman with a late. ROUND pick i think the
joke was going to be solid because he was Solid
with flacco in that twenty twenty, three season and it's
hard To say flaco's going to. Repeat that but in
five Starts With, kevin stefanski he threw for five of.
Six starts he was over three hundred yards passing in all.
Those games so there's a lot to, like about even
at forty, years old what he can do for his.
Receiving corps maybe not so much for his team or,
(32:37):
for himself but he certainly can give these guys opportunities to.
MAKE plays i think they're going to be in a
lot of. Competitive games so just the value here for
him as my FOURTH receiver i think was just too
hard to.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Pass up ted McMillan goes next at seven, to Ten
Then cooper cup at seven. TO eleven I Took, mark
andrews so Once again i've taken All. The ravens there.
YOU go I know i am Not a, ravens fan,
but look the value is. The Value so i'll take a.
Week off what's The, Buye okay i'll take. It off,
it's fine bye, week seven see, you. Later everybody just
All my ravens here on. This team, but again that's
pretty much where all the touchdowns, are going and it's
(33:08):
not a bad thing to invest in good. OFFENSIVE ecosystems
i then Took Boring naji harris BECAUSE although I like
Omari and hampton far more in terms, Of talent i'm
old enough to know that old fart Coaches Like jim
harbaugh are going to go with veteran guys because that's what.
They DO so i think he is going to be
a very frustrating thing for everybody Who has hampton or
(33:29):
took him three rounds Earlier Than, naji harris at least
for the first six to eight weeks of. The season,
Nase's boring, naji's capable and they brought him in for,
a REASON and i just feel like they'll churn and
burn him and then next year you will Have The.
Hampton Show but i'm playing redraft, right now so it
might not be a, sexy PICK but i think he's gonna,
get enough especially in THE. Half ppr, I'm like i'm
(33:50):
at peace with. That Selection bo nick's at eight, O
Two roman dunes a eight, Oh, three jamie you took
the other half Of The pittsburgh steeler Backfield And jalen
warren at eight. Oh four let's discuss him in this
backfield that no Longer Has naugy harris and it Does Have.
CALEB johnson i feel like every year everyone keeps Waiting
For jalen warren to have. The breakout but we're three
years in and we still have not gotten it.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
CORRECT and i don't think we're gonna get it Because
Of caleb, johnson's presence but you go back to what
he was in twenty, twenty three you know before he
was battling some injuries at the start of the season,
last YEAR and i still think he's going to have
a role in the. Passing game he's one of the
better pass protectors in. The league you Look At, caleb
johnson he's probably going to be a first and second.
Down guy so touchdown opportunities are not going to be There,
for warren but passing down opportunities should definitely be there.
(34:33):
For him and so depending on what the quarterback situation,
looks like we're expecting it To Be, aaron rodgers this
Could Be, mason rudolph it could be ugly across. The
board but this Is Still, arthur smith who once upon
a time had one of the best rookie running backs
and decided he wasn't going to use him fully to
what his. Capabilities were and hopefully that's not the Case For.
Caleb JOHNSON but i think at, this point, you Know
when i'm looking for mostly a flex, YOU know I
(34:55):
hope i don't have to Rely On jalen warren as
a top two, running BACK but i do have two
older running Backs and Ay And, joe mixon And so
i'm still looking for GUYS that. I have i like,
the upside, you KNOW so i know what his, flora
is And should johnson get hurt and, miss time, YOU
know i don't know where you. Guys were, you know
we were kind of just waiting OUT The nfl draft
to see what was going. To Happen jalen warren's breakout
(35:16):
might have been there had they not decided To draft
johnson and maybe done What the cowboys. Are doing, you
know it's kind of piece and his. Backfield TOGETHER so
i still think there's a lot to like. About him
there's just not as much to love as where he
was part OF the. Nfl draft But should johnson struggle
Or Get, arthur smith then we could Still See jayalen
warren having some, you know pretty.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
Productive weeks it was so.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Kind of you to think That the cowboys have a
plan in. Their Backfield Adorable jalen warren eight, o Four
then brandon A ucn, Ato Five chakobe myers eight, OH
six a good value there in the, Eighth Round davonte
williams eight, o seven and then De bro look everything's
coming up mealhouse For You justin fields at eight. Oh
eight that's. Your guy you didn't get him, last, time
right and this time. YOU did i.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
Didn't get him.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
Last time florio's not a, trap Maybe so i'm here.
FOR man i mean this it comes. DOWN to, i
mean it's just it's another year for great late round. Quarterback,
SELECTIONS man, I Mean, Justin fields sumi starts all. The
games he's going to BE a, qb one just. Locking
in it's just a question of where in the top
twelve he's.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Gonna be. All right continuing On, After, Fields, Kyler murray,
Dado Nine, Juwan Jennings. Deebo samuel look, at this we
live in a World Where juwan jennings would Ahead Of.
Deebo SAMUEL if i told you that was going to
be the case three, years ago you'd elaborated out of.
Speaker 7 (36:25):
The show look at the THREE pack, i know And,
then ricky those forty, Nine Ers.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Scott bogman not to be denied at, eight Twelve, Selecting,
Ricky Piersoll, Matthew Golden, so bogs let's Talk about Pearsall.
And golden we got a second year wide receiver and
a rookie. Wide receiver what sort of contributions can they
bring in twenty.
Speaker 6 (36:43):
Twenty, FIVE yeah I mean i think, you saw, You
Know ricky pearson really perform at the end of the year.
Last season he obviously had that big, you know six
or was it eight catches on hundred and forty one
yards in a score at, the end six for sixty
nine and a touchdown the last game Against. The cardinals and,
you Know With, deebo gone he's leaving round one HUNDRED
targets i think was like eighty two obviously miss the.
(37:05):
Whole time he had some carries in there, As well
so a lot of touches are just missing from this
Offense With, DEBO gone I Think ricky piersall drops right
in and gets a bunch. Of them and when you
look At the packers wide receiver, room here it's. Just
Weird romeo dobbs had two concussions and a pouting fest.
Last year who knows what's going to happen, with, Him
(37:27):
right So In shaden reid the last, NINE games i
believe six, of them he was below sixty percent in the. Snap,
Percentage Obviously christian watson gone for. The year wis is
still there kind of in. The background this is their
first first round wide receiver since two thousand. And Two
javon walker was the. LAST one i think They're Bringing
matthew golden here to bring them some speed and you're
(37:49):
gonna get the ball in his hands any way you
can and let. Him produce so it's still run, heavy
offense which pushes these wide receivers down. The board that
plus the musical chairs, that played they play. With THEM
but i think by Bringing, in golden they're saying we
want an alpha and this is going to be.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
Our guy, All right let's see who the next guy
is for a. Team, Two Ironically jayden reid goes Next After.
Matthew golden look at. That tank bigsby goes AT nine,
Ozho three travis Atm Then stefan Diggs, to debro let's
talk about the Reclamation Of stefan diggs coming off that.
Knee injury we Just heard josh McDaniels actually right before,
THE show I saw clipper and saying he's a he's a.
(38:27):
Unique individual what a wonderful way to put That About.
Stefon diggs THAT'S how i, Describe. YOU debro i just
want you, to.
Speaker 9 (38:33):
Know.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Dude i'm telling you.
Speaker 7 (38:36):
Right Now If stefan digs is going to go this late,
IN drafts i know it's not a, sexy pick but it's.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
Going to be a very.
Speaker 7 (38:40):
Productive one i'm going to Be Drafting stefan diggs everywhere.
THIS year i mean we're, talking about before he was lost,
to injury the wide receiver Nineteen in fantasy points per
game and A half. Ppr setting now he's getting air
Dropped In new ENGLAND and i think he's gonna be
their starting slot, wide receiver probably gonna play fifty sixty
percent out of, the slot and considering what he showed,
last year if he's one, hundred percent he's the number
(39:02):
one Option For. Drake may nobody else is catching passes.
Over HIM he's, i mean it's, a, value dude my
wide receiver four now as a wide.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Receiver four i'm okay, with.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
You, DE bro i was Thinking. About, Diggs, yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Look we'll see. What happens it's all about health and
how quick he can get back on. The Field ramondre
stevenson at nine, Oh Six, xax Sharboney then, Jalen. McMillan
jamie You Took jordan mason at nine. Oh nine THAT'S
a cag pick Here Because aaron jones ahead of him
and another, year Older and mason certainly proved as though
he belongs after filling in last Year for. Christian McCaffrey
so expectations for him With The minnesota vikings.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
This season he got a thirty Year Old, aaron jones
who his coach said now twice when asked, about him
once prior to free agency when he was not part of,
the team and then. Once after you Know The jordan
mason addition that he Felt That aaron jones had too
much work. Last year and so whether we're going To
see mason in more of just a short, yard's role
which O'Connell has talked, about already Or, if jones who
(40:00):
had three separate injuries, last year missus any time remembers
last Year In, green bay he had a hamstring injury
and a. KNEE injury I think mason's gonna have an
opportunity behind a revamped, offensive line but just playing with
one of the best offensive systems that. We have he
was with that last year, as well and we saw
the production early in. The season he tailed off a
little bit and then was Replaced, by GRENDO but i
still think just getting pieces of good offenses when you're
(40:21):
talking about second, running backs that's obviously A place i like.
To LIVE and I, think mason if he gets a
chance to be the Starter for minnesota at any point in,
the season is going to have that top.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Twenty upside so at this point in, the draft it
was worth.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
The Risk, After Mason taji Spears, rushat white AND then
I Took darnold Moody And. CEDRIC tilman i just want
public service. Announcement here had this been Playing for blood
and Not, IN may i would Have taken, grendo here
Just Despite jamie eisenberg in this draft he was in.
MY queue i thought about IT and, i, said, no
no it's not Quite A. MEMORIAL day i don't want
to get. Crazy here we're all. Still friends this Is,
(40:53):
in august when we're all drafted together in a couple months.
From Now So cedric tillman another guy last year who
certainly had. SOME flashes i liked him coming out of
college as a, prospect TOO and i think last year
you saw the window of what he. COULD be i
also would, also hope As Like jamie Eisenburgy the joe
flaggo plays as long as possible in. This Offense But
darnol mooney another solid season. FROM him I think pennix
(41:17):
can get the job, done there and he's definitely proved
that he is fantasy worthy there as a wide receiver
four or five kind, of guy A mechag buka at,
teno Two Then jonah smith at. Teno three, Of course
jamie then backed Up With isaac grendo as he said
that He Would josh downs at, Tentho Five travis kelcey
at ten, Oh six David, and joku And Then beshall
Tutin To Derek. Brown Debro the jacksonville backfield right now
(41:40):
is a. Little crowded tuton probably the most explosive of.
THE three i don't think anyone wants to argue that
it's just a matter of how soon can he become.
FANTASY relevant i think that's the bigger question.
Speaker 7 (41:52):
WE'LL see, i mean right now in camp or at least,
in practices he's fumbling. The ball so maybe this hot
start gets delayed a little bit on. THIS team, i
mean look at where we're at in.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
The.
Speaker 7 (42:02):
Draft guys we're in the, Handcuffed tier we're in the
wide receiver four slash maybe their three tier in this
spot of. THE draft i want the upside of a
guy that doesn't need an injury to take over. A
backfield and if that's, The case tooton's a smash, pick
here and AS my, rb four he could send him
a bench until he takes over.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
That job that's.
Speaker 7 (42:22):
Totally Fine like I've got i'm covered at running back
to this point WITH my, rb four it's just, upside swing,
All right.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Swinging for the Upside, With Tutin, Ray Davis, Tucker Craft,
Dalton Kinkaid, Scott Bogman, rico Dowdell And. Michael pittman, YOU
know i had downs on the board for a WHILE
and i passed on HIM because i just have zero
confidence right now In the colts offensive ecosystem and what it.
Looks like is it going To, Be richardson is it
going To be God Forbid? Daniel JONES and i just
don't know what that looks like for any of the.
(42:48):
Wide receivers so how do you feel About? Taking pittman
and then we can Get into dowdell, as well who's
now Joined the.
Speaker 6 (42:54):
Carolina, BACKFIELD yeah i Was between Pittman And keon coleman at,
this pick and. YOU right i mean they have three
guys that can run and not throw the ball on
the roster right because They drafted Riley and leonard kind
of the same type of archetype of a quarterback that.
They have but the system is very friendly for whoever wins.
That job So if richardson should, Win it pittman is
(43:14):
still such a. Good target he just has HAD garbage
qb play in his time With. THE colts i think
he's a very very good. Wide receiver obviously LAST year
I was i pushed my chips in and that.
Speaker 4 (43:26):
Tower FELL but i Really.
Speaker 6 (43:29):
Like pittman it's just he is an if if some
butts were candies, and nuts we'd all Have Him. Merry
christmas and that whole offense is An If RICO dawdle
i think was Underutilized. IN dallas I think, cuba got,
you know all he can handle this year With the
shane under three. HUNDRED touches i don't know that That's
what carolina wants to Do. WITH cuba, i think, you
know obviously They Drafted jonathan brooks with the intention of
(43:51):
him Probably. Surpassing cuba the injury that he came off
of and then the second injuries probably hampered his. Entire
career so and they went out And Got, rico dada
a guy that has built a Lot like cuba and
has that same type. OF upside i, feel Like as,
cuba does if he should get more, TOUCHES here i
don't expect.
Speaker 4 (44:10):
Him to it's kind Of Hoping ray davis was. Gonna
fall that.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
Didn't HAPPEN but I Think rico daddle in this system
with this, offensive proving could be decent if he.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
Gets touches dobbins then shahied Key, On Coleman christian kirk
Finally To derek brown eleven. OH five i know you're
making your next, Pick, here Debro but kirk brought. In
here it's Funny because i'm on the other end of.
The spectrum you're making Investment. On kirk i'm making investment
In another houston wide receiver later in. This draft So
why kirk at eleven oh five for you and Not Say,
(44:40):
jayden HIGGINS who i ended.
Speaker 7 (44:41):
UP taking i was actually JUST playing adp GAME like i,
was Like, okay higgins and then my entire queue just
got wiped out with all the rookies that just went
off the board some really really, awesome picks AND so
i was just going to make the Bed on kirk
if he does maintain like because when he was healthy, last,
year guys he would. Extremely productive i'm just making the
(45:01):
bet that if he could.
Speaker 5 (45:03):
STAY healthy, I.
Speaker 7 (45:04):
Mean i'm old enough to remember guys when we were
investing In this houston, passing attack and we were paying
up for all three of those guys. Last year now
the only guy that you got to pay up For Is.
Nico collins so Whether, it's kirk Whether, it's higgins Whether It's,
jalen knowell at the last part of your drafts taking
shots on this passing attack to, Bounce back we're not
paying for anybody in this passing attack Outside Of.
Speaker 5 (45:23):
Nico Collins so i'm gonna take the shots.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
On Them, Trey Benson, Marshawn Lloyd, luther burden And then
eisenberg of Course takes besh right out from, under ME
as i knew. HE would i got one of the
TWO guys i. WANTED there i had three rookie wide
receivers to, pick from and You Took, jack besh who
looks like he is going to acclimate. Very well right
away In this raiders, Pass, ATTACK.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Jamie, i agree, you know and again you look for.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
TARGET opportunities i don't think he's gonna come in as
the one or, the two assuming that something Happens With
brock Bowers Or. Jacobe myers but it's such an incomplete
receiving core. Right now and love, the talent, you know,
so opportunity. Talent location, You Know gino SMITH will i
think be serviceable enough to be able to support multiple
options in this. Passing game We Know tip kelly's going,
to be, you know creative, Play caller so at this
(46:06):
point in, the draft he's my.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Wide.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
Receiver five similar To what deebo is saying About the.
Tuton pick, you know a guy that could just sit
on your bench and see, what happens, you know very
similar for me in terms of where we're best is Right.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
NOW jerome Fourd Then tyler. AL'S year I Took, trey
HARRIS who i think is immediately going To Surpass qwenten
JOHNSON and i am ready. For it i'm here. For
it AND then I Took jayden higgins because he's the
first guy ever to get a fully guaranteed contract in the,
second ROUND and i mentioned. It earlier i'm going to say,
it again follow, the money boys, and girls because when
you follow, the money he typically leads you to targets and.
(46:38):
Fantasy Productivity And jayden higgins was drafted for, a REASON
and i think that it's going to be sooner than
later that he is going to really establish himself as
that number two guy in. This Offense and i'm Not Buying.
CHRISTIAN kirk i think he was the veteran brought in
in case there's injuries or to help the kids along
a little bit in case things. ARE slow i Don't
think higgins is going to be slow on. THE up i.
(47:00):
Just don't julia McLoughlin at twelve, Oh Two austin eckler twelve,
Oh Three caleb williams at twelve. Oh four so look.
At you look at what you, Did There. Jamie eisenberg
you went and You Took. Caleb williams you put your
money where your mouth was at the top of the
show Here. For, caleb now in, this scenario would you
want to back up and take a second quarterback or
you Just takeing caleb and seeing how the first couple of.
Speaker 3 (47:21):
Weeks Ago so i'm on the clock right now in,
round THIRTEEN and i have a quarterback. Queued up it
did not work OUT as i was planning because a
couple of VETERANS that i would like to pair a
young quarterback with have gone off the Board In dak
Prescott And. Jared Goff so i'm going to take another
young quarterback with upside and just kind of, hope that,
you know one of the. Two hits but in the
(47:42):
Case Of, caleb, williams again like we, talked about, you
know there's so many things to like about. The situation
so if he could play more, under control Avoid, the
sacs play a little bit more, On schedule he'll use,
his LEGS which i think is a little underrated part of.
His game he won't be one of the better, running
Quarterbacks but i'll. Run enough there's just so, much upside,
You know so at, this point, you know when you
wait on, a quarterback you're, looking to, you know sort
of hit a. Home run and in, ROUND twelve i
think he could be a top ten caliber guy just
(48:02):
based on everything that's.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
Happening AROUND can i guess who that? Quarterback is Is It?
Drake may Is It? Drake? May, oh Yes It's.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Drake, may yeah see.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
THAT'S right i mean ja like the, Same board like
there's no reason for we should just sit, and like
why don't WE do nfbc together? THIS year i, Gotta
understand like why don't we just we'll make a couple,
of investments you, And me we'll have. Some fun it'll
be a. Good time, same board same. Board Always jalen
wright goes next at twelve, Oh Six, Jayden Blue The,
Coleston Lovelin, Dylan Samson, Nick chubb so deebro You Took.
(48:31):
Dylan Samson nick chubb, Goes Next, Adam Feelin, Blake Korham
jared Goff And. Brock Purty, so scott, you know waited
as long as. You could you got. Two quarterbacks You
took Goff. And purdy seems like you're just gonna play matchups. From.
Speaker 6 (48:44):
THERE yeah I think jamie would agree with me that
only geniuses wait until the last two rounds to take
quarterbacks to get on the. Roster here but he, you
Know obviously jamie Spoke About jared goff and Our Boy joe,
pisaps says What About?
Speaker 4 (48:59):
Jared goff what is your thing? About golf, Indoor cat
he's AN.
Speaker 6 (49:02):
Indoor cac have you looked at the, Playoff schedule joe
from week twelve, to sixteen he is indoors every single
week to twelve, to seventeen, excuse me he is indoors every.
Speaker 4 (49:16):
Single week so the playoff schedule.
Speaker 6 (49:18):
Is, Great Obviously ben johnson's leaving is a concern in,
the offense but back him up With rock party who
just got. The bag i'm PRETTY sure i can get
a good quarterback in there every single week.
Speaker 1 (49:30):
Moving forward, all right let's go through that last round
here and here. We go we are done and draft
analysis a minus, for me not, Too SHABBY so i
guess it didn't MIND that I Took lamar jackson so
early IN half ppr, ESPECIALLY man i just want those.
RUSHING guards i WANT those i want the guy who
(49:50):
controls all the scoring in his offense on a good offense.
Every week so we'll look at the analysis and look
at these last couple of picks. For Everybody drake May.
Went deeber who was your? Last?
Speaker 7 (49:59):
Selection there MY last i was just adding to the.
QUARTERBACK room i Went justin herbert just in case fields,
start slow or just giving myself.
Speaker 1 (50:07):
Certainty, there okay my. Last, selection actually, funny enough was
Also A, Chicago bear kyle manong GUY who i believe
is going to be The Actual david montgomery in. This
offense The more i've, watched HIM and i watched him
a fair Amount because i'm A local jersey guy here
seen Him, AT rutgers, I mean i Just He's david montgomery, To,
(50:27):
me like this is just pretty cut. And DRY and
I Know DeAndre swift is Not Exactly ben jonson's, favorite guy,
But whatever he'll deal with whatever he. HAS to I Like.
Roshan johnson this is Nothing, against ROSHAN but i just
feel like the, new regime you pay attention to the
guys that they select because those are the guys that
are gonna get touchdowns and IN, HALF ppr I think
manonguy in the last eight weeks of the season is
(50:49):
really going to be an asset in terms of goal line.
Touchdown stuff so let's get to the rest of, the standings,
shall we and see who won. The draft it. WASN'T
me i was, number TWO but i had the, handy
CAP but i also had the host and do reads
and all the other We Go scott bogman or number
One List jamie eisenberg, Number three debro. NUMBER four i
(51:11):
don't think this has.
Speaker 4 (51:12):
Ever happened i've never seen more.
Speaker 1 (51:13):
OF us i have never seen. This before uh one,
through four all of. Us, here uh so good. On Us, Scott,
bobwin congratulations you're the, big winner It said, Hot Take
derek brown likes my draft more than any. Other expert
i'm sending you the hard, hands Mind Says.
Speaker 4 (51:30):
Scotts, here.
Speaker 1 (51:34):
Well it says right Now That joe rico hates, My
Draft so i'll have words with him Later on slack
and see what's going. On there uh when we start
to look at some of the, expert analysis which is
great because after you do, your drafts you can go
ahead and you can see, what IF which i love
THAT if I Drafted, dj moore IT said i would
have gone up thirty three points higher and that would
have been enough to Go Past. Scott Bogman so i'll
(51:58):
be losing sleep over that. All. Night probably it tells
ME that i have the worst bye week Ever because
i've Got, three ravens and. THAT'S okay i don't care about.
BIE weeks i think that's. TOTALLY overrated i did get
a reach Alert On. CEDRIC tillman i don't care get.
Your guys that's what we. Always Say, so jamie let's
take a look at your roster and any expert opinions that.
You see anybody love or hate your draft here you
(52:20):
want to, shout.
Speaker 2 (52:20):
OUT so i look at expert opinions on things you.
Speaker 1 (52:24):
Click on expert opinions.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
Likes It brad evans, Likes It Hi andrew scott, Thumbs
Up pat fitzmurice. Likes it it's some of the Negatives Are,
Matthew Hill jacob hubman And the Wolf Of.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Rhoda street there.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
You go let's Look at jamie's. Roster here he's. Our
guest it's funny It Took drake may and put It
Above kayleb williams as your. Starting quarterback we must be
In The Joe piezapia wrenking system here on. THIS one
i can only assume that's what's. Going on, Christian McCaffery,
joe Mixon, Then pooka, Terry McLaurin sam Laport Of, Courtland Sutton.
Jerry judy this is a very, Good, Roster Jamie, Jalen Warren,
(52:59):
Jordan Mason, Caleb, Williams Grendo, Jack besh so you certainly
have some depthit, running back which you've gotten a. Hold
of there you have two number one wide receivers which you.
Gotta love and basically this is a roster that hinges on,
one thing the Health of cruciaan McCaffrey And, puka NAKUA
which i think is interesting because those are two guys
where health always seems to be. A question so is
(53:20):
that something a pairing in particular you feel comfortable going
into war with.
Speaker 3 (53:24):
THIS year i think it all, depends on, you know
how good you feel about the depth of. Your team
and SO as, i SAID when i, picked McCaffrey like,
for me it was a priority to Go, get grendo,
you know will he still be the number two? Guy
there and as we saw, last year, you know he
battled some injuries. As WELL but i think the forty
nine ers, you know told us they did do their usual,
you know drafting and running back in the middle of
the rounds to add to. Their backfield but they feel
(53:45):
comfortable with McCaffrey. RIGHT now i think they feel Comfortable
with grendo and you saw what he was able. To achieve,
you Know when mason and McCaffrey were, Not THERE so
i like having that backfield sort of, locked up, YOU
know i would say it's probably eighty five to ninety percent.
Speaker 6 (53:57):
LOCKED up i was asked about his McCaffrey's back up,
this MORNING and i think It's. Still grindo they Did
Draft jordan, james obviously as, You, mentioned jamie but They
Traded jordan mason in the middle of, the, Offseason right
so that tells me they're really secure On what.
Speaker 4 (54:13):
Corendo, brings yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:14):
And probably secure in what McCaffrey is dealing with. Right now,
you know he did not, have surgery so he's not
coming off of a, lengthy rehab, you know so as
long as he could, stay UPRIGHT and, i think, you
know basically with, any player especially, OLDER players i look
at it as how many GAMES will i get out?
Of him AND if i can get eight plus games out,
Of McCaffrey i'm probably going to be dominant in those,
eight games And then i'll try and figure out.
Speaker 2 (54:36):
The rest as a matter of when those eight games.
Speaker 3 (54:37):
Will, probably happen, you know you don't want them to
be obviously key points in your in, your season but,
you know you got to sort of understand that he's
probably going to miss, some time and how will you
manage your roster when he's.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
Not there in the Case.
Speaker 3 (54:47):
Of Pouk, AND thekua, i mean, YOU know i kind
of went with a wide receiver, heavy build, you know
taking the four GUYS that i took with seven four
of my first. Seven, PICKS again i like the group as,
a whole, you know and the way that this, setup is,
you know when you got to, PLAY two i can
hopefully get production Out Of jordan Mason Or jalen warren
as a flex not have to rely on all. These
guys So if pooka does go down, to throwing, you
(55:07):
know McLaurin and sutton as the two Receivers or. Judy
hopefully there's there's a lot of questions with, this roster
but there's also a lot. Of upside so that's kind of,
you know. THE build i think you have to understand
what you're taking and when you're. Taking risks, you know
with a guy like mccaffre and a Guy Like, poop
nakula you hope that the the overall build is still
strong enough to get you through maybe some of those
weeks and they're.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Not, there well let's Look At derek Brown's Build justin
fields a Quarterback which i'm a big, Fan Of, CHASE. BROWN. R,
J Harvey, Cd Lamb, Drake London, Evan Ingram, DeVonta Smith.
Caleb johnson loved that pick there as the Other Flex,
Justin herbert so you Backed up fields with a Very Safe,
Justin Herbert stefon diggs, Upside, There tooton Kirk. And samson,
(55:47):
so again, you know when you go in that, rookie
pile sometimes you get dinged a, little bit but not too,
Bad today and really this is a matter of do
the rookie running, backs perform and if, they do debro
this is a heck of. A.
Speaker 5 (55:58):
ROSTER yeah i like.
Speaker 7 (56:00):
This team man, TAKEN upside i mean the volume certainty
out of my top TWO backs i feel really, good
about and then taking upside, SWINGS later i kind of
layered in some undervalued Veterans with Diggs. And KIRK so
i think it's a good mix of like, youth upside
a lot of volume in this lineup from top. TO
bottom i disagree with so the pick ANALYSIS that i
(56:21):
would have had sixty one more points and subsequently been
in first PLACE if i would have.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
Taken a disagreed, DRAFT wizard i mean.
Speaker 7 (56:31):
VERMONDRE if i would Have Gone romandre Stevenson And jared
Golf Over justin Fields And.
Speaker 5 (56:35):
DYLAN samson, I okay i think they.
Speaker 1 (56:39):
Don't know what to Do With dylan samson, right NOW
and i can. UNDERSTAND why i Think the bots are
still figuring, that out so was.
Speaker 7 (56:46):
The team to, be honest that, assumption too Is that
remandre is going to hold the backfield and he's going
to be in my, starting lineup which if he's not
even be gracing my, starting lineup that.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
Doesn't Matter See i'm i'm Not touching Remandre with. Trevion
there i'm just saying it. The same let's look At
the joey p, Roster Here, Lamar Jackson, Derek Henry, Tony Pollard,
brian Thomas And. DeVante adams who. THAT'S sexy i, Like That,
Mark Andrews, xavier Worthy, naj Harris Than, TREY harris i
got All, The Harrises, Darnault Mooney cedric Tillman And kyle
Manonguy And. Jaden higgins it's got a little bit of
(57:18):
a dynasty twinge, to It Which, scott bogman imagine you.
Would appreciate but in A, Half ppr i'm very happy with,
this roster especially, YOU know i don't like to go
for the big, quarterback necessarily but when it just drops
in your lap like that in the third round.
Speaker 4 (57:32):
At, the, end, YEAH two i think when you're on the,
end right.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
Because you miss on all the, Runs, right so and
that's the thing you always end. Up going, all right
how does it? Hurt me it hurt me at the running,
Back position, it's clear it's. Right there my counter, argument
too THAT is i drafted a quarterback and a running
back because he's gonna have a thousand, Yards rushing so
it's better than a lot of Guys that i'm gonna
draft right. Around there that's my whole point of why
it's Okay for lamar but not great. To do Like
(57:57):
The patrick mahomes early. Quarterback scenario let's look at your,
Roster Here King, Scott Bogman, Jared Goff, Breis hall James,
Connorje Mark, Chase jackson Smith and JIG. WITH. T J
Hawkinson dj moore as. The flex then You Got, Brian Robinson,
ricky Piercell, Purty Rico dwbdell Pittman And. Matthew golden that
was good enough for. Number One, so boggs, any holes?
(58:19):
Any love what do you have here for? This roster
as you're looking at the? Finished, PRODUCT yeah i think.
Speaker 4 (58:24):
You know during the draft is kind of the theme
sitting at.
Speaker 6 (58:26):
THE end i missed out on a couple GUYS that,
i WANT but i still was able to put together
a very solid, roster here obviously built on the strength
of my. Wide receivers four hundred targets between these guys.
For Sure WITH chase Jsn And. Dj moore, You Know
brice Hall And james Connor And brian robinson are all
going to lead their teams and touches by a pretty.
WIDE stretch i WOULD think i got a top five
(58:47):
tight end in my estimation HERE. In, tj HAWKINS and
i like. THIS team i waited on, the QUARTERBACKS but
i got two decent ones and one with the one
of the best playoff schedules for himself being an indoor
Cat and Jared GoF so i like the way this team.
Speaker 4 (59:02):
Is built it's pretty.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
