Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome and everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is the FB
Live Dream. It is me, Joey p joe Pi's Apia
and with me a man who always votes and does
his civic duty. Dee Bro Derek Brown, the King of Bros.
I also voted today. Look at us, citizens of New York.
I got my sticker on right here, citizens of New
Jersey and Tri state area. Here over where I am,

(00:21):
and look we are right now. Have the trade deadline
looming here in the last hour. We talked about it
before Debro. We talked about, you know, trying to look
ahead here, and we thought this would probably be kind
of a of a whimper or a trade deadline considering
how many big names have already moved like there just
wasn't a lot of us. This is left to go
a few pieces to talk about, so we're gonna break

(00:42):
them down here for you on the show. Probably, I
guess the biggest news of the two wide receivers, I
guess we'll talk about that. But one thing does have
an impact on the betting market I want to talk
about too. But first and foremost, let's talk about Mike
Williams going to the Steelers Russell Wilson is the jump
ball king, and he gets another jump ball guy here,
at least in the red zone. Theoretically, that's how I
look at it. In standard leagues and deeper standard leagues,

(01:04):
maybe you throw a buck or two on him and
stash him, especially with the bye we's coming up because
Pittsburgh's passed their by. I'm not looking for big things
for Mike Williams, but clearly he was not a fit
in the New York Jets situation. Also, still a slow
recovery from the ACL, and that sometimes happens. Your thoughts
on that deal will get to Mingo in a second.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, we shouldn't be in surprised that Mike Williams, you know,
didn't mesh well with Aaron Rodgers. I mean, you gotta
have reps and time and recovering from an ACL hurts that. Also,
you know, certain people not reporting for a mandatory mini
camp kind of hurts that too. But with Mike Williams
looking at the rest of the season, now, look, Joey,
I mean I agree with you. We need to be
picking him up. People need to be stashing him. He's

(01:42):
already been added to the wayver war ranks for the
week as well as the waiver war articles, So people
need to check that out over at fantasypros dot com
right now. But the big thing for Mike with me
is not only he talked about the meshing with the
quarterback style and the fifty to fifty balls, but like
the schedule lines up pretty well for him. Yeah, and
we're gonna have to see a ramp up here like
all these other wide receiver trades, and we're still waiting

(02:03):
for some of these guys d Hop popping off last night.
You're waiting for them to become assimilated with the playbook
and the offense. And if Mike can do that, the
rest of season's schedule's pretty dang nice, Joey. Like week eleven,
they get Baltimore, then Cleveland and Cincinnati, Cleveland again in
Baltimore in week sixteen. Those are some good secondaries to attack,

(02:24):
So I think people need to be stashing Mike Williams.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, look makes sense to me. I like the deal.
I think it's a good one. What did they give
up to twenty twenty five fifth round minch So not much.
I mean some of these when you start to look
at some of the capital and some of these trades too.
Some of these trades some look like, you know, like
DeAndre Hopkins last night looks like a steal and all
of a sudden, I understand the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and

(02:50):
they are not very good obviously against the pass. I
understand that they've struggled there. They get up a lot
of passing yards and Patrick Mahomes, you know, coming to
life a little bit. Then, Uh, the Boys make a
peculiar move here acquiring Jonathan Mingo for a fourth rounder,
like they give up a fourth rounder. So I don't
know what this says to you about the health of
Cede Lamb. I don't know what says to you about

(03:12):
the health of this organization. Uh, good for the Carolina Panthers,
That's all I can say. But I think this is
less about Jonathan Mingo coming into Dallas and having a
fancy impact than it is about Jalen Coker and Xavier
Lagette kind of having the free rain here. Because now
Deontay Johnson's gone, Mingo's gone. I guess last week was
more of a showcase, and now it makes a lot

(03:33):
more sense.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Right, makes a lot more sense. And everybody that's already
tuned into the Waiver Wire show, I had a short,
had a moment, very upset.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah moment there.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
I was like, look, Dave Canos, we've given you a
lot of flowers for a lins.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
What dag were you doing last week? But they didn't
all make sense.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Now when you can roll out a guy as a
part time player and get a fourth round pick for him,
I get why they cut j Jimen Coker Snaps last week.
And so yes, it's it's better days are ahead for
Jalen Cocher. And the big thing that I want people
to take away from that is it's not only I
get the people say, Okay, it's a Bryce young lad
passing attack. I understand that, but if Andy dalton a

(04:14):
suit reassumes the starting role at some point, then what
are people's feelings at that point as well? Much less Joey.
The schedule lines up even better for and I'm not
telling people not to pick up exavierly get but if
both of these guys are out there, I think, look,
if you got the room, pick up both. If you're
picking all just one of them, I actually lean to Cocher.

(04:35):
And this is not just leaning on previous reasons, but yes, cheaper, cheaper,
and two, the matchups upcoming are very very good. So
just looking at their next three games versus slot wide receivers,
Jalen Cocher gets matchups with And this is also to
the point I think Adam feeling because the other thing
people are gonna say, what is Adam Deelen mix in here?

(04:56):
If he stays moving forward, I think he's gonna play
the perimeter. I think think Coker stays inside the slot.
And so you're looking the next three opponents for the
Carolina passing attack. They get the Giants, the Chiefs, and
the Bucks who've given up the eleventh, the seventh, and
the third most Fantasy points per game to opposing slot
wide receivers. So while it might not look great on
the surface, these are good matchups for Jalen Coker moving forward.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I would agree also real quick to again, we'll get
you updated here obviously if anything changes during the show.
But another thing here, Marshall Lattimore to the Commander's Commander's
defense has been playing better. This is a nice move
by them. Latimore is not the same player he was
two or three years ago. Injuries have kind of slowed
him a little bit, but still an upgrade there, and
one more thing too. The Steelers get another move here

(05:41):
for edge rusher Preston Smith from the Packers, And I
just want to talk about this from a betting standpoint.
Right now, TJ. Watt is minus one thirty in most
markets at least for Defensive Player of the Year. The
next plus guy is plus seven hundred. So it's basically TJ.
Watt staying healthy and winning this award and getting some
other help. On another side, you can put one hundred
bucks on that and makes seven or what you know,
depending on whatever the market is. It's more of an

(06:03):
investment opportunity than anything. I would take a look at that.
In most markets, it's just a matter of what's staying healthy.
I don't think anybody else touches him. So again, that's
the breakdown of what we've seen. For more, you can
go to fantasypros dot com and check out all the
breakdowns we have. Is more trades might potentially go and

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
