Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boom. All right, let's do it. Have some fun coming
down in the three two and one, waiting for it
to go. I don't know why it's not going. This
is the longest it's ever taken. A good start, good start,
let's go. All right, here we go, coming down in

(00:21):
three two one. Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This
is the Fantasy Football Podcast. It is me Joey P
joe P Zapia, and today we're gonna give you what
you want, which is sleepers. Everybody always talks about the sleepers,
the people that no one else is in on, and
we all know that was something that before the Internet
was a lot easier to do. But in this modern

(00:42):
day age, we have two modern day men are gonna
help us find some sleepers that people might not be
talking about as much as they should. And that's a
good thing for all of you watching and listening out there.
Don't forget to subscribe to Fantasy Pros YouTube channel right here.
Drop your comments below two because we're giving away something amazing.
In fact, we're giving away this time around to somebody

(01:03):
who comments and is a subscriber, a twenty twenty four
Trophy Smack Draft kit, that's right. Trophy Smack one of
the places you can go to get all your belts
and your rings and all your fun trophies and things
of that nature. They're giving away a twenty twenty four
Superstar draft kit, all the names, the big board for
your home league drafts to have fun in draft in person,
which I wish we could do more of. Andrew Erickson,

(01:25):
I'm gonna see you in a couple of weeks to
do a draft that's gonna be a big draft board.
They're probably from Trophy Smack. You can't win this though.
It's only for our subscribers here on the channel, so again,
drop your comments below with some of your sleepers. But ericson,
I know you're excited. In just a few weeks Rainforest Cafe,
I'm taking you there. They were going to Manhattan, and
then you're leaving before SummerSlam, which I don't understand. Deebro

(01:46):
is gonna watch Summer Slam hang out with the kids.
You need to change your train ticket. I don't like
this at all. It's a bad plan.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I gotta get home to my wife because I'm gonna
be gone. I am I gone every single weekend in
August I'm gone. I'm doing something else. I'm at the
Expo in New York, Bachelor party, all the fun stuff,
so I have to carve out some time to see finishes.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Well, now that you're an old man, we decided to
get younger here on the show because Terrell Furman's joining us,
thank goodness, bringing the age level down from these old
boomers in their thirties like ericson Terrell, you know, and
from Vsen and a lot of other spots where he's
doing shows all over the place. Uh, you do a
lot of betting content, a lot of NBA, a lot
of w NBA, a lot of NFL. Two Terrell and

(02:27):
welcome to the show, my friend. It's great to have you.
Of course you can follow him over on the X
machine at really Reil Underscore. Just like Andrew Erickson, you
have an underscore under your Twitter handle. I guess that's
what the cool kids do. But h, Terrell, you got
two you got two underscores?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Yeah you got it here. You ain't see it. You
ain't need see two of them met theres.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
So to raise your underscore game, that's what you're gonna
have to do. I think that's really important.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
That is that the hip thing to do with all
the kids. Yep, they're doing to under.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Especially when the first guy, the first guy has one
and doesn't sweet and so he's just sitting there holding
that name, not doing anything. Yeah, one hundred percent is
definitely what the cool kids do. But ericson leave it
before SummerSlam. That what Roman's coming back calling it now
Roman is back. One is in the air for anything else,

(03:16):
you gotta stay.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
You're saying these names like, I know what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
I guess all right, Tonal and I we're gonna have
to have to talk more offline about that. But Taryll,
do you believe that sleepers do still exist in this
information asia we live in where we talk about so
many of these players over and over again. I understand
there's value in ADP, but truly do believe that there
are some sleepers out there still for people that really
nobody's on.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yes, one hundred percent, because you have the average joes.
That's my whole list. I just named them all the
average joes because there are a bunch of very average
players that hey, there's a couple of young guys that
might turn into really good players, but the average players
of those guys that are probably gonna be in the
thirties forties range that you're never really gonna notice that
they did a big impact for you that one week

(04:00):
that you start him, or that time that an injury
happens and they take over, they step up for you.
So a lot of the average Joe's don't get talked
about enough. And hey, you can't be top heavy with
your lineup all the time, like you're gonna need a
bunch of those other guys to help balance the team out.
So if I can get a wide receiver thirty drafted
as wide receiver sixty, absolutely I'll take them.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Here you go. I like, I'll try not to take
an offense to the average Joe terminology thrown out there.
We'll just all right, let's start with the guy that
Ericson and Torell actually agree on and he plays for
the Green Bay Packers. Sorell, you're our guest, So take
us through Dontavian Wicks, because this is the name that's
come up recently into mock drafts. Here with Ericson and
Debrow myself, which again, if you missed that, we just

(04:43):
had Lakwan Jones from NFL Network on. We did a
mock with him just a couple of days ago. Go
watch on the YouTube channel. But carell talk to me
about Dantavian Wicks because I know you and Erickson are
turning keys on this guy.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Yeah, I mean D'artavian Wicks is. Honestly, he's been one
of the more explosive players that we haven't gotten to
see a lot out of in that Packers' offense. But
now the fact that you're looking at what they dealt
with last year, and let's just say the same thing happens.
Let's say this Packers team goes through the same motions
of Christian Watson. We have no idea if you're gonna play,

(05:14):
We have no We truly have no idea. Night and
night out, he looked like he was gonna play all week,
and end of the week he didn't play, and then
there was weeks that he'd come out of nowhere to plays,
go for a couple of snaps and then end up
not playing anymore. Then you have the same thing with
Romeo Dopps, who hasn't has been as as worse with
the injury bug, but it happens, and he hasn't been
able to stay on Jaydon Reed been really really good.

(05:35):
They kind of gone to this youth movement in Green Bay.
I did a lot of green Bay Radio last year
and a love Wix and you look at him when
what he's been able to do on the field. He's
fourth and is supposed to catch rate with forty two
point six percent. He was one of the best rookie
wide receivers in terms of yards per average, which is
fourteen point nine to fifth out of all rookies, Like

(05:58):
at least targeted twenty times per route, run, yards per catch,
like every single metric. He was really really good. That's
going to take another step forward with more trust and
more more trust. In shortan love So yeah, I think
Wicks is a really really good target that they're gonna
make a whole bunch of plays for him. Even last
year they had plays designed for him when he came

(06:18):
on the field. So I love dot Tavian Wicks. I
think he's somebody that's going under the radar because he's
the fourth wide receiver in Green Bay, but he could
very well be the second Ericson.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
I think what stuck out the most for me there
is the notion of we don't know about Christian Watson.
I know we're all being cautiously optimistic that he's got
the hamstring differential problem on lockdown now and we're not
going to have any issues, but there's no guarantees of that.
So is that the same reasoning for you too, where
you're looking at Wiss maybe an upside play and a
true sleeper in the sense that you know, we're all

(06:49):
talking about Watson, we're talking about Jayden Reed's last year.
A lot of people are comfortable with Romeo Dobbs just
kind of you know, being in that mix, but really
Wix might be a guy who could surprise us.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
I think so for me, I also look at why
can't he usurp Romeo Dobbs potentially when you look at
just the yardage that they put up in the last
eight weeks of the regular season. No, Dobbs obviously blew
up in the playoffs with a couple of big games,
but Wis had more yards overall in the last eight
regular season games than Romeo Dobbs. So, even if Watson
is healthy, well, is Romeo Dobbs really locked and loaded

(07:21):
to that third receiver role on the outside. Wicks again
was super efficient last year, great ing yards per route
run top thirty among all receivers. Looking at his first
down per route run, it was the same as Devanta Adams,
who the head coach has compared him to. Dantavian Wicks
has compared to It been compared to Devonte Adams, who
obviously very familiar with the Green Bay Packers. So I

(07:41):
think for me, yes, week one comes along, are you
going to be starting Don Tavian Wicks. Probably not, But
we see teams get hit by injuries all the time,
and the minute that one of these Packers receivers either
has a step back in production the hamstring injuries happen again,
Wix is going to be in that starting lineup. And
based on what we saw from him on the field
last year, well, I think you feel pretty confident he's

(08:02):
going to produce sooner rather than later if he gets
those opportunities. So he's going late enough where yes, you're
drafting him, he's on your bench, but it's pretty easy
to touch off the story. Okay, now I can start
this guy because I see the path to opportunity. It's
an offensive we want pieces of. So that's kind of
why I like Don Tavian Wicks.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Let's move on to another player here, and it's a
player that actually Andrews just talking about on a show
last week. Terrell, he made your list. He's a running
back for the Los Angeles Chargers and he was formerly
with the Baltimore Ravens. And it's ironic because just a
few hours ago I was reading for another Beat reporter saying,
Gus Edwards, this is his backfield, all that stuff. But JK. Dobbins,

(08:40):
you still have some love for him as a sleeper.
Tell us why?

Speaker 3 (08:42):
All right? So Greg Roman has finessed again and he's
found his way into another NFL job. And as much
as I have a distaste for Greg Roman because of
what he put Lamar Jackson through and the Baltimore Ravens
through and all of that, I will sit here and
say Greg Roman is a one chick pony that hasn't
changed in about a good part of ten plus years.
We can go back all the way to twenty eleven

(09:03):
with San Francisco. Look at the rush play percentage San
Francisco twenty eleven, third, twenty twelve third, second, seventh. Then
he goes to ball to Buffalo. He goes to Buffalo
first in rush play percentage second in rush play percentage
goes all the way to Baltimore first, first, eleventh, and
then third. He doesn't change. He wants to run the ball.

(09:25):
Jim Harball wants him to run the ball. They want
to start on the ground. And so now you have JK.
Dobbins and Gus Edwards. Oh wait, woo woo, same thing
that you had in Baltimore. But wait, JK Dobbins was
the number one guy then, I mean, I get it.
The only thing, the only issue that I had with JK.
Dobbins's health, that's the only thing that screwed him out
of where he was being drafted in a years past

(09:46):
and now is that he couldn't stay healthy and you
were taking the risk on health. He's going as the
RB for fifty five like, there's no risk in that.
This is a pure flyer. And if JK. Dobbins is healthy,
let's talk about what he was able to do in
twenty twenty, his rookie year. From week eight on when
he won the starting job. He was the RB eleven
that season and he missed the game. So he missed

(10:06):
the game and still finished at RB eleven from week
eight on and during that same span inside the five
yard line, he was seven for sixteen with six touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
So it's a no brainer for you, right, Terrell, because
it's nobody got Gus Edwards and the consensus ADP at
forty one, and that Dobbins at consensus is RB fifty two.
That's one sixty one overall compared to one twenty five overall.
And basically the only thing you're saying is is just
a health issue in your opinion?

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Yeah, it's a health issue. I think that if Dobbins
is the healthy back, Roman has shown that, Hey, this
is the guy I want to go with. He plays really,
really good inside the five touchdowns. That's really what makes
Dobbins and Edwards two different things is can Dobbins go
out there and score a bunch of touchdowns? And I
think he's going to have that opportunity.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
I know, ericson you already gave your two cents on Dobbins,
So let's make some change with another guy that you
have on your list here. This time it's a wide
receiver in Buffalo, but it might not be the one
people are thinking of.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Who is it? Yeah, I'm going with the boring veteran
Curtis Samuel. So again, Curtis Samuel has not ever been
a player that we looked at, Oh, this guy's gonna
break fantasy football. But when you're looking at, hey, where
can I find a cheap wide receiver one on an
offense attached to Josh Allen, Well, hello, Curtis Samuel, who's
being reunited with Joe Brady. Where when they played together

(11:22):
in Carolina, That's when Curtis Eimuel had his best season
of his NFL career because he was operating as a
strict slot receiver. So Curtis Simil has kind of finagled
a little bit. He's flirted with outside usage, inside usage,
but he's always been best deplayed from the slot. I mean,
look at last year, Khalil Shakir was the Bill's slot receiver,
super efficient from the slot. So if Curtis Smil's taking

(11:43):
on that role as a starting slot receiver in the
Bills offense, well, he's gonna beat his ADP as wide
receiver fifty five. I think that's an interesting thought experiment
to go down the ADPs and just say, hmm, if
I had to put my life on the line of
this guy beating his ADP, that's all they gotta do
they beat their ADP. They don't have to smash and
don't have to be top ten. Curtis Samuel Wide receiver
fifty five. When you look at his entire NFL career,

(12:05):
he's beat that every single year he's played more than
five games. I'm pretty sure he's going to be a
solid return on your investment. So that's why like Curtis
Samuel's a sleeper, especially early on during the year where
maybe Kean Coleman doesn't fire right away as a second
round pick. You know, Dalton King Kate, he's gonna get his.
But who's that number one receiver, Probably the guy that's
familiar with the offense from past seasons, like Curtis Samuel.

(12:28):
So for those reasons, I think Curtis Samuel is an
interesting sleeper, and we've seen this every single year with him.
He's always like a popular waiver wire pickup because he
has these stretches of weeks where oh my god, Curtis
Samuel leads his team in target share, what do you know?
Then he gets hurt and then you move on. But
there are always stretches of games where he's very productive.
I think, at least from the get go that could
be Curtis Samuel here in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Well, is that the key Erickson that you think this
year it's different because it's the uncertainty and the rest
of that Bill's offense as opposed to, oh, maybe he
is on the waiver wire every year for a reason.
You know, he is that guy that has these spurts
and then kind of falls back to the I mean,
he's done it many times in his career. So is
the difference just that, well, he's got Josh Allen now
and just a more open path, or do you think

(13:08):
this is something that maybe more sustainable potentially than it's
ever been for Samuel because of the fact that, well
it's unproven key On Coleman and it's Khalil Shakir and
the guys who you know really haven't shown you that
they can handle the kind of worklad you're gonna need
in the Buffalo offense.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Well, I think that the Josh Allen factor matters a lot.
I don't know if Curtis Samiels really played with a
quarterback of his type of caliber where that you can
really get him to that next level where maybe he
can get over that wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Up with that end off Cam Newton, I believe, if
memory serves right, I think he was around that time.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
It hasn't been great. Let's just say that. I think
Teddy Bridgeboters was his quarterback, and he's overthrown and he's
part of a lot of bad experiments with bad quarterbacks.
But I do think that if the Bills are looking
for answers at wide receiver, that Curtis Samuel, especially from
the slot in the familiar has with Joe Brady. I
think that matters a lot, especially early on. So don't
be surprised if Week one comes around we're doing these

(13:59):
waiver wire Who's at the top of the list. Curtis Samuel.
Oh wait, he's already on your bench because you drafted him.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
M ok at that trying to get ahead a right.
Curtis Samuel started in twenty seventeen, and I'm looking Cam
Newton's twenty seventeen year was, let's see, thirty three hundred
yards not too shabby there still, you know, still in
the eleven and five that year they were still respectable
twenty two touchdowns. So that was before the bottom fell

(14:26):
out a few years later and Boyle Boy did it
ever fall out the bottom of that, So I guess so.
But to your point, yeah, Josh Allen, certainly better. All right, Trell,
Let's go back to you for another pick here. This
one is a running back on the depth chart that
is not the number one guy, but a guy that
does see a lot of work and the guy in
front of him is coming off over four hundred touches
combined between the regular season and preseason.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Yeah, and I love Elijah Mitchell because when Elijah Mitchell
steps up and Elijah Mitchell gets into the starting lineup,
he's been a very very good running back. And during
this range is like, is likely when I like to
get all my handcuffs. I like to get any insurance
that I can or anybody that I say, hey, there's
a possibility that this guy takes over this backfield from injury,

(15:08):
and then they're really really good. And you look at
Elijah Mitchell in games where he had double digit carries
in his career and he's been a top thirty back
in nine out of twelve, averaging fifteen point eight Fantasy points.
He's been very very successful. He knows this system, he's
been around, and I'm not necessarily concerned about Jordan Mason
or anybody else behind him, kind of usurping that role
for him, because again, over the past three years, he's

(15:31):
constantly showed, hey, I can come up for you big. Here, Hey,
I can come up for you big. There. The amount
of times this man has been a top fifteen running
back over the portion of his career, it's been eight already,
and he hasn't had that much of a workload. So
I'm all over Elijah Mitchell. It's clearly just purely a
handcuff to Christian McCaffrey, who's had injury issues in the past.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
I really like this because we just had a big
conversation about the four hundred and seventeen touches of Christian McCaffrey,
and still a lot of people just don't want to
hear it. They don't want to hear it. And yet
we have right in front of us the proof year
after year after year when someone crosses that threshold or
anything close to it. I mean even just last year,
I have the Josh Jacobs experiment there just right in
front of you where it tends to take its toll.

(16:09):
And I know Christian McCaffrey special, I get that but
in deeper leagues. Mitchell I think is a really intriguing
Handcoff and a guy that's been used to the goal
line quite a bit over his career too. That's also
something to keep in mind, Erics, and let's go back
to you for another player here, potentially before we do
find another sleeper on your list, though I don't want
to remind everybody again. NFL season is right around the corner,

(16:29):

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Crown another sleeper that you want to target Leyton Drafts.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
For me, it's Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown. I
am on the Chase Brown side of things, not the
biggest Zach Moss fans, so therefore I'm on Chase Brown,
second year running back. In the dynasty research I've done
this Dynasty article, I must have Dynasty targets. One of
the biggest edges I found was targeting second year running
backs that don't fire in year one. Those guys see

(18:21):
major value or major boost to their value into their
second year because they're young, and people want young players
that are good at the running back position. So I
think Chase Brown has at least an opportunity now they've
moved on from Joe Mixon to carve out a bigger
role in this offense. They brought in Zach Moss, but
it's a low contract, so I really think it's a
battle between two players that's going to figure out who

(18:41):
the RB one in this backfield is. And for me,
I always want to lean on the younger guy that
has juice, and that's what Chase Brown showed last year,
even when Joe Mixon was healthy playing they still found
ways to get Chase Brown on the field, despite the
fact he was dealing with the hamstring injury to open
the year. He was missing a lot of games. But
once he was healthy, the Bengals offensive coaching staff saw
what he could do, saw his speed, and was like,

(19:03):
we need to figure out how to get this guy
on the field. And he did. He delivered hit one
of the fastest in NFL Next Gen stats, one of
the fastest ball carriers on a fifty four yard touchdown reception.
So for me, that's what I want. I want the
guy that's expulsive, that's going to potentially be the pass
catching back in this offense. Because if I'm betting on
who's going to score the touchdowns in the offense, I
think it's going to be Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow.
That's where I think all the touchdowns are going. So

(19:24):
I get the idea. The case for Zack Moss is, well,
I think he can be their goal line back. Well,
sometimes they just decide, well let's just give it to
Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase. So I'm not necessarily overly
concerned about, well, he's not the goal line back. Well,
I'm not so sure. That's how the Bengals see their
offense really operating. I want the guy that has the speed,
the expulsiveness and pass catching chops. And that's really what's

(19:45):
been all this offseason, the talk with Joe Burrow with
head coach Zach Taylor. They've seen the progression with Chase
Brown in the passing game, so I think he can
take a big step in year two. And he's cheaper
than Zach Moss. So again, when you attack these ambiguous backfields,
I think just sometimes taking the cheaper guy is the
best value.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Terrell, do you see it the same way? I know
Zach Moss kind of came out of nowhere last year
after doing next to nothing in Buffalo for a few
years and really surprised people. Was that just a product though,
of the Colts offense and Shane Stichen being as clever
as he is, or are we just not giving Zach
Moss enough credit? You think Brown is the guy or
you think it's Zach Moss at the ADP.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
I really don't think it's Moss. I think Moss was
just in a good sittion of situation of hey, we
were already planning this for Jonathan Taylor, let's just insert
you in and see how this goes. And he played
it really, really well, and he had a great year
and parlayed himself on a Cincinnati I actually don't mind
Chase Brown as well. But I think both of these
two are just kind of be like battle buddies, where
they're going to eat into both of their own production

(20:41):
and you're kind of gonna be waiting on. Hey, hopefully
there's an injury to Moss or there's an injury to
one or the other, and then the value on one skyrockets.
But I don't think that Zach Moss has any value
where he's going as long as Chase Brown is there.
At the end of the day, Brown has more chance
to sert this role than Moss, and I don't think
that Moss has the chance to really take it as

(21:03):
a full time roll over Brown. At the very least,
at the worst case scenario for Moss, this is gonna
be fifty to fifty, And you know, I think that's fine,
Like fifty to fifty for Brown is very very fine,
but he could potentially win even more than that if
he takes over the job, because I just don't think
Moss is as sufficient.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah, it's a good point there. Twelve. The next guy
in your list here as we're talking about potential late
round sleepers, is somebody that I love to take late
in PPR leagues, and it's Jacoby Myers. I know everyone's
excited about black Powers. I am too. DeVante Adams, you know,
we're in the ten year club now, and that's when guys,
you know, it's funny. Nobody wanted to notice that last

(21:39):
year with Stefon Diggs, we kind of saw what happened
at the tail end of Stephan Diggs. I am not
wishing that voodoo on DeVante Adams, but I think a
late hedge there potentially with Jacoby Myers, just from a
PPR standpoint, that's a guy to get you twelve points.
And you seem to agree as well.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I mean, there's no Josh Jacobs this year. You insert
Brock Bauers and he's now being drafted as the wide
receiver fifty seven and he finished his wide receiver twenty four.
That doesn't the math doesn't make sense to me. And
then you bring in Gardner Minshew, where if he does
take over this job, I think he's going to have
a better output than eight and O'Connell. I think he's
gonna be better. Garden Minshew, as we talked about it earlier,

(22:19):
you're one of the best jos, But Gardner Minshew is
an average Joe, and an average Joe with an average
Joe wide receiver, they very much well can give you
average wide receiver numbers, which is in that wide receiver
twenty five to thirty range, which is where I think
that Jacobe Meyer falls. So this is a really good
situation where I think he can get a good amount
of targets. We'll see if Bowers is in the passing

(22:41):
game rotation. I think that this is going to be
a run first offense and they're going to try to
find ways to nickel and dime first downs. And that's
really what Jacobe Myers and DEVANCEE. Adams did for him.
They dominate the targets a year ago. I think they'll
still dominate them now.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Rckton back to you for another wide receiver. This is
one that you have talked about in the past, but
in case you missed it, let's bring back Josh Palmer
again because you think that he can potentially really outperform
that ADP. Now I think he's an average Jill. I
don't know what Terrell thinks of Josh Palmer, but let's
get your take once again in case people didn't hear
it the first time.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Well, his name's not Joe Palmer, it's Josh Palmer. You're
gonna remember the name Josh Palmer when he breaks out
all over the place in year four because there's no
stopping this man. Because this man was on the cusp
of a full fledged breakout last year, averaging or on
pace for nearly twelve hundred receiving yards last year before
his injury. His seventeen game pace seventy catches, one and

(23:36):
niney eight yards, four touchdowns on over one hundred and
ten targets. That was his pace last year before he
had his injuries. He's always stepped up when Mike Williams
or Keenan Allen has missed time over the past three seasons,
Josh Palmer's been the guy. Was it Quentin Johnston last year? No,
he was running all the routes and it didn't even matter.
Josh Palmer had just as many yards and played as
like eight fewer games than Gwinn Johnston did.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Well, that wasn't a big lift, just saying.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Saying, he show it up and Quentin Johnson is still
trying to figure out how to run roundes. So for me,
I'm looking at this depth chart and yes, the draft
of Lad McConkie, that's like the big hurdle that he's
got to get over. The guy named Ladd Josh Palmer's biggest.
I don't think the guy.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Named that guy named Lad can play ball. And I
still think it's a Lad McConkie thing. Now, I don't
hate the jam on the field.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
I mean he missed a lot of games, missed a
lot of games in Georgia.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
He did. But when Brock Bauers missed games, who is
the guy that stepped up and had huge games with Georgia.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Josh Palmer stepped up when Mike Williams and King Alam's game.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
He did. But the difference is Josh Palmer was buried
on the NFL. Well, I'm just saying, but Josh Palmer
has been a guy who's been, you know, on the
depth chart where he's been for a reason. I think Now,
I do think opportunity is a good thing, and certainly
it presents itself this year. It is a different staff.
Maybe that's a good thing. Maybe it's not a good thing.
I don't know. I agree he's cheap enough to draft

(24:51):
and find out and Herbert's a good enough quarterback to
invest in in that scenario. So I, like Lad McConkie,
I'm learning to It's like I I was never a
big berry fan, like like strawberries and things like that.
Recently I've started to eat strawberries and now it's like, Okay,
I feel like Josh Palmer is like my strawberry. I'm like, okay,
you know what, Maybe it's not so bad. Maybe I'm

(25:14):
learning to like it. Maybe I have to put a
little Natella on it or something else to really make
me like it. But I'm getting there. I'm getting there
every time you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
All I'm saying is in twenty twenty two, Nico Collins
yards perrout run was one point nine. That was Josh
Palmer's yards perout run last year one point nine. And
then what happened. He got the opportunity to be the
number one receiver in his offense. Obviously got c dis
straw which benefited. But Josh Palmer is justin Herbert, like
he has three quarterback and now he has the opportunities.
So look, he has the most chemistry with Justin Herbert. Yes,

(25:42):
we've all loved the rookies, but I mean, well we've
got they.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
He has the most reps with Justin Herbert. We don't
know if he's got a better chemistry that would Lad McConkey.
We don't know that yet.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
In all fair, I mean they've I've seen them play
in the NFL together, so I think I feel like
that's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
So we're all out on Quinton just oh, I just
want to make sure that that's that's clear. We're all
on Quenton Johnson. He just doesn't exist in this offense.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Well, I don't even I don't even see him on
I don't see him on the death chart. I just
go right, all right, Cornelis Johnson. Oh, that's the next guy,
you know, J's son.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
Quent Johnson's gonna have three catches. One was gonna be
for like a sixty yard touchdown, right and everyone's gonna
run to the waivehire to pick him up in week one.
That's that's that's the nature of the beast. That's what's
gonna happen. You watch it and then it won't be disappointed
after that. All right, let's try and not disappoint with
another name here on the list. Now, I love the
Atlanta Falcons. I think it's basically just that that trio
there of Bijon, Drake London and of course, uh, Kyle Pitts, Terrelle.

(26:39):
You think somebody else could be useful in this offense.
Let's talk about Darnel Mooney and why he might be
a late round sleeper.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Well, I mean, let's talk about and I hope Kyle
Pitts works out for fantasy managers this year, because every
year it's this is the Kyle Pitts here, This is it.
No matter how many times that we get out of
the Kyle Pits game, there's always this thing that pulls
this in. And this year Kirk Cousins and they said,
oh he's gonna beke Kyle Pitts good. All right, in

(27:06):
the situation that this happens again and Kyle Pitts isn't
good again, Well, Darnell Mooney in twenty twenty one had
a thousand yard season or eighty one receptions, and then
Luke Getzi came into Chicago and absolutely broke him. Didn't
even want to use them. I mean, he went and
turned Chicago into a run first team. This team was
first and second in rush play percentage. They were absolutely

(27:29):
running the ball. He made Deontae Foreman an actual valuable
running back in for Chicago, like an actual viable fantasy
running back. And so now Darnell Mooney is coming and
he gets a new situation that's going to be more
pass heavy, and you're going to have a four thousand
yard quarterback in Kirk Cousins who threw for four thousand

(27:49):
yards and seven to the last eight seasons, who has a
sixty plus percent completion percentage. I think that this is
a very very good opportunity for him where he can
go and finally flourish back closer to that twenty twenty
one one timeframe that we saw where he was a
thousand yard receiver. And it's enough yards to go around
with Kirk Cousins. So maybe his production diminishes a little

(28:09):
bit if Kyle Pitts is actually Kyle Pitts, but if
he's not, if he doesn't Kirk Cousins doesn't just funnel
its targets to Drake London and Kyle Pitts, well, next
Beck's person is Darnell Mooney and right now he's wide
receiver sixty eight. I think that this is a.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Good certainly a good value to throw the darna. I
agree one hundred percent on that one. And the biggest
thing is Kirk Cousins. That's not a little thing, man,
That's a big difference between Kyle Pitts. Erickson will tell
you I was the freaking undertaker here last year about
Kyle Pitts. Every time him and Derek Brown would talk
about Kyle Pitts, all I kept saying was, have you
noticed who's playing quarterback?

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Who?

Speaker 1 (28:45):
What are you guys doing? I've done a one eighty.
I am now leading the charge and it's hard. Nobody
wants to come with me, Terrell. Everybody is annoyed at
me because I'm saying, look, this is the year for
Kyle Pitts. Like, yeah, we've heard that before. I understand that,
but he's ever had Kirk Cousins before. It's a big difference, man.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
Yeah, And I mean now I think that it's Hey,
it could very well be, and I actually do think
this is going to have a good year. But if
we're wrong, and if this is the same story and
they finally give up on them. I mean, we have
a Darnell Mooney who's learned to play more positions around
the field. He can be the deep wall threat for
him and he can do that, or he can kind

(29:22):
of play closer to the line. And so I think
that this is now Darnell Mooney's position where he can say, hey,
let me research my career. They just sat there and
didn't throw me the ball and then brought in DJ
Mooreton really didn't throw me the ball. Now I gotta
opportunity to catch the ball and play here in this
offense with Kirk Cousins, who's going to chuck it? He's
a chucker. And hey, there's a lot of non primetime

(29:45):
games for the Atlanta Fotains. That's all I have and say,
there are a lot of non primetime games. Barnell Mooney,
come on, come on, Do I need you to be
wide receiver ted? No, just fall into wide receiver thirty.
Be a good guy for me in best Ball.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
And it smells like someone that's gonna You're gonna put
your laugh on the line for Darna Moone to beat
his ADP. That's what it sounds like to me.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Oh yeah, Oh yeah, that's he is not finishing lower
than wide receiver sixty eight. Yeah, there's no.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Next year on the show, he's he'd be like Donal Mooney,
wide receiver sixty five. I told you guys, he delivered.

Speaker 5 (30:20):
Great.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Hey, technically he's a win. It's still a win man,
technically still a win three spots that year. All right,
we talked a lot about some running backs and some
wide receivers here, but give me a tight end ericson
next on your list that you think could be a
late round steal.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Yeah, mostly following the elite tight end strategy this year,
but sometimes those players get drafted, so you don't get
the opportunity to draft an elite guy. So for me,
when I'm in the double digit rounds looking outside the
top one hundred, the player that sticks out to me
the most that I think could make the leap into
that top tier conversation is Pat Freronmouth because the biggest
thing with him, he's already done it before. We've already

(30:57):
seen him be a top thirteen tight end not just once,
but twice at the NFL level, one time including his
rookie year. Or we're talking about oh how Sam Laporte.
It was so great as a rookie. All these rookies. Well,
Pat Friyremouth also broke out as a rookie. But last
year the guy had no shot because the Steelers' offense
was a mess. He was dealing with injuries, and yet
Pat Farronmouth still showed a very high weekly ceiling. Pat

(31:20):
Friarmouth nine catches one hundred and twenty yards and a
touchdown with Kenny Picket at his quarterback on eleven targets
coming back from injuries. So if Pat Farremouth can put
up that type of weekly ceiling going outside the top
one hundred, George Piketts as the number one receiver on
the Steelers. Okay, I've heard zero buzz about any other
receiver on that team during every offseason report. I've read

(31:42):
a guy it could be wrong, could be Roman Wilson.
But Pat Friremuth is in a contract year. He's already
stabbed himself as a above average tight end at the
NFL level and he was just hurt last year. So again,
you can say what you want about Arthur Smith and
how he used Kyle Pitts, but he targets the tight
end like we looked. Last year, the Lanta Falcons ranked
third in tarts overall to the tight end position. So Friarmuth,

(32:03):
I think it's going to at least be at worse
the number two target on his team. And when you
look at how Titan's produced, they're usually the number one
or number two target on their offense. So I think
Pat Firemouth has a clear pathway to be the number
two guy in terms of total targets. And he's already
shown that he can produce at a top or a
tight end one level. So I think Friarmuth, if you're
scrambling at for tight end production late in your draft,

(32:24):
that's the guy I'm circling on every draft board.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Now, Torell, you circled Roman Wilson on your list today,
So let's make that transition. If it's not Friarmouth, is
it Roman Wilson, or maybe it's both of.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Them, and I think it can be both. And if
Roman Wilson is the third getting target, you know, leader
in this club, then I'm perfectly fine with that. Because
Roman Wilson, hey, he goes and he Inherits a team
that is led by Mike Tomlin, white receiver guy and
they go out here and they get these third round

(32:55):
wide receivers, late round wide receivers that perform really really
well for them. And Roman Wilson coming over from Michigan,
where people give a lot of credit to guys like
JJ McCartney saying, oh, it was a run first team,
they played in a big ten and they but they
don't give that same credit to Roman Wilson, who's the
wide receiver on that team. And yet somehow in that class,
he still had the second highest red zones targets yet

(33:18):
second highest first down percentage, Like this is an opportunity
where I think he fits since this offense where yes,
Pickens can still be your big play guy, but you
can nickel and dime down the field with Brian and
Wilson and still give valuable, valuable PPR production. So one
hundred percent, I think that Pickens, while everybody wants him
to be that number one guy that the ball is

(33:38):
always going to, and I think he's going to command
his targets year, but it's gonna be a lot deeper passes,
a lot more inconsistent passes where Roman Wilson and Friar move.
I think that they're going to get going around the middle.
They're gonna be more steady, and they're gonna get a
lot of caps and then have the opportunity to perform
after the catch.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Great stuff there on the Pittsburgh Sailors. We'll see if
Wilson can make this team a better team offense. Maybe
it's maybe Russell Wilson, Maybe it's Justin Fields. My money's
on the Fields sur unlimited.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
I think I think Russ's best thing is sitting a
year behind Justin Fields. That's gonna be the best thing
for his career. He's going to come back the next
year after sitting the year behind Justin Fields and just
be an amazing quarterback. Wow. I learned so much from
Justin Fields. I just can't wait to go give this
production to another place.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
He's boxing now, you see this is gonna make him tougher.
You see the boxing videos, so I mean, right, that's
got to do it now, It's right.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Maybe Meek Mill used to box two that didn't go well.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
On that note, Eric, soon, let's go back to you
for another one of your favorite guys, back to the
running back position. There is a guy in New Orleans
that you think could be a steal.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Yeah, shockingly, it's another second year running back that didn't
really fire as a rookie, Kendre Miller. Look, I think
that Kendre Miller can take over this backfield. I'm not
afraid of Alvin Kamara. He's being shown that he's depreciating
as terms of it as a rusher. Look what he
did last year in term of broken tackle rate, in
terms of rushing yards above expectation, like near bottom of

(35:04):
the league for Alvin Kamara. So he's holding out for
a new contract, like he's not show enough to practices
because he wants to get paid more money. And I
just don't see that happening. I'm not sure why the Saints,
who notorious, are always trying to push things down the
road when it comes to the salary cap. All we
got to fork over a bunch of money to Alvin
Kamara when they have a young, spry running back that
they really liked a lot as rookie but was dealing
with injuries. And even in the small sample size we

(35:25):
saw of Kendre Miller last year, week eighteen, thirteen carries
for seventy three yards, one touchdown, and three red zone carries,
and he did that on a thirty six percent snapshare.
So Alvin Kamara is twenty nine, Jamal Williams is twenty nine.
These are not the running backs of the future for
the Saints. So I think that in a new offense
with Klinton Kubiak coming in, that might install some new wrinkles.
And I think Kendre Miller could be the face of

(35:46):
their new run games. So I like Kendre Miller low.
He's explosive. Again, like I said, he's the young he's
he's the youngest running back that's not a rookie in
the NFL at twenty two years old. So again, last
year right off as a red shirt year for him
because he was hurt basically the entire season. I think
we're gonna see a lot more from men year two.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
All right, I want to stick with you, Erickson, because
the next guy on your list is also a second
year running back. So I like when you have a
little bit of a theme going on here. So who's
the other guy on your list? The last name you
have that could be a draft day steal and might
still be a sleeper even though there's a couple of
the running backs in this backfield and it's a little
messy right now.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
It's Roshan Johnson for me because when I think back
to after the Bears draft of Roshan Johnson, they could
not stop talking about this guy. They showed the type
of love that Sean McVay talked about with Karen Williams.
And that's where I'm trying to find potential players. Okay,
who could be this year' Karen Williams Wall I look
at Roshan, It's like, Okay, you have DeAndre Swift there.
He was signed a big contract. What if you seen

(36:39):
from DeAndre Swift over the last two seasons, He's been
on two different teams. He keeps going from team to
team to team. Ask Deontay Forman how it's like to
go from team to team to team. It's not fun.
It's not fun to do that because even if you produce,
why is a team moving on from you? Especially a
team like the Eagles. And we look at how Swift
was as a his rushing efficiency it wasn't great and
he was in one of the best situations you could
ask for. So I look at Rochean and I look

(37:02):
at how he was able to get onto the field
last year pass pro like he was one of the
running backs that saw the most pass Pro reps, only
behind Tajay Spears and touch Spears was a Day two
pick as a Day three pick to get on the
field and pass protection sets. That shows that the team
trusts you. So for me, I think Roshan can carve
out a role on third downs. I look at him
at two hundred nineteen pounds as a potential goal line

(37:24):
back because that's the other thing was swift. Teams don't
like giving him the ball in the red zone. The
last two teams he's played for, his teammates have scored
all the rushing touchdowns. Two years ago it was Jamal Williams.
The year before that it was Jalen Hurts. Is this
year of the Roshan Johnson leaving the NFL in touchdowns?
I don't know, but I think that I think it's
worth taking a stab on bas of where Roshan goes

(37:44):
in NFL drafts or in Fantasy football drafts. Excuse me,
so I like Roshan a lot. He's definitely one of
my of the second year running backs. Think that he
might be my favorite, especially when you're considering the cost.
And I don't think that Khalil Herbert when it's all
said and done, I don't think he's going to be
on the Bears like he's in the last year of
his contray. He was not drafted by the current regime.
There's a lot of teams Dallas that could use another
running back. So if Herbert ends up going to Dallas,

(38:07):
the Raiders, somewhere else, well, I think Rochean is gonna
eventually just usurp the under ship because I think they're
gonna find that he's a better fit for what actually
scores fantasy points in their offense. For Swift, I'm seeing
a guy that might get a lot of work in
between the twenties where you're not getting any fantasy value
with that. But Rochean, I'm looking at this guy has
the pathway to high value touches, targets, receptions, red zone carries.

(38:30):
That's hey score fantasy points. So that's why I love Rochean.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Well, look, he's the best talent I think in that backfield.
In my opinion, we didn't see it really come to
fruition last year. Sometimes it takes a little longer. Sometimes
health can be an issue. Different guys transition to different
speeds of the NFL. But Kendra Miller rosh On Johnson
definitely two later round running backs, second year guys that
you should definitely keep an eye on, especially if you're
in those deeper leagues. You gotta be stacking those rbs

(38:54):
because you know injuries are gonna come. All right, let's
talk about a rookie here who Calvin Ridley has in Jacksonville.
Brian Thomas Junior comes in. Terrell, tell me why he's
somebody people need to be paying attention due.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Oh my gosh, I mean, let's start with the quarterback.
Because the quarterback got paid, and he got paid and
he put himself on Joe Burrow level of payment and
now they got it. They gotta go out there and
they gotta trust him. And what does te Law do
that's really really well. He throws the beat deep ball
really really well. Man. He's one of the best deep
ball quarterbacks. Since entering the league in twenty twenty one.

(39:29):
He's top five and deep ball touchdowns with twenty four touchdowns.
He's top five and deep ball first downs with seventy
nine first downs. And guess who had the highest yards
per route run on passes twenty plus yards downfield? In
the entire rookie class, Brian Thompson Junior, one hundred percent.
So I'm gonna go out here and I'm just gonna
say it. I don't think Gave Davis is that good.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
I didn't think that it was that good of a move.
I think he just needed a new location and he's
probably just gonna sit there and be a filler body
and on. It's gonna work out for Brian Thompson in
the Brian Thomas in the first early part of the
season because they're all gonna gravitate that coverage to Gave
Davis because they're afraid of him beating them over the top. Well,
Thomas has the ability a lot of those are go routes.

(40:15):
I understand he has to work on the route running,
but I think what works for him works for t Laud.
I think the chemistry is gonna grow there over the
offseason and they're gonna be really, really good as the
year goes on. Where you're gonna sit here and if
you have them in Best Ball, you're gonna love him.
You're gonna love him in Best Ball and Redraft. You
may have ups and downs and you may have a
bad week here, then he explodes for a week or
two there. But in bestball, you'll love him. I think

(40:37):
that in redraft he still has a lot, a lot
of upside and that could be the number one wide
receiver this year, but I truly believe in the next
two to three seasons that he kind of forces himself
into this number one wide receive a role. And it's
just because the chemistry that I think he's gonna have
with Trevor Lawrence, being that he loves to go down
deep the for the football and Trevor Lawrence loves to
throw the football that deep. Hey, he's sixty three two

(41:00):
point seven sixty three point seven percent completion percentage for
Trevor Lawrence on deep ball throws. That's going to be
really really good for Brian Thomas junior.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
So I love definitely a passball guy for sure. Certainly
somebody too that as the season goes on he could
continue to really be productive. So be patience is something
I think we have to practice again with the rookies
every year. Erickson says, no.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
No, let's just jump into trout. What do you think
about this about the Brian Tom I have Brian Thomas
ticket eighteen to one to lead all rookie wide receivers
in receiving yards.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
About what that's madness?

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Eighteen to one, eighteen to wait now, come on, so
let's let's break it down. Let's talk about it really quick.
Arviy Henderson Junior. Okay, I get it. He's over there
in Arizona. You have milak neighbors. I'm a New York
Giants fan. I'm not worried about milite daghbors. We could
throw that out there. Rome in Chicago, rookie quarterback. There's
a path, and the path is he just catches a

(41:55):
bunch of deep balls from Chevor Lawrence all year long.
It is consistent, and then he just racks up the
yards like it's so is so open that if it's
not one of the top guys and you said you

Speaker 3 (42:31):
