Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, and welcome into the Fantasy Pros Fantasy Football Podcast.
It's the week twelve Sunday recap show, coming to you
live right here on the FPU YouTube channel, and it
was an afternoon of a few stars shining brighter than
the rest, swinging the balance of fantasy matchups as we
know it. I'm your host, Seth Wilcock, back with the

(00:21):
full cast of characters today, including a man who likely
has more degrees than all of us combined. He's an
orthopedic sports surgeon and the founder of Sports med Analytics.
He's doctor Deepak Shona Dot. Great to see you back
in the saddle today. How are you after another Sunday
that wasn't too bad on the injury front for once.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, you know, I'm doing great. Everything is bonus today
because Texan's got their win Thursdays, so I'm just riding high.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Well, I'm glad to hear it, man, and excited to
crack into that big brain of yours once again. Also
joining us as a former news producer turned fantasy football analyst.
She's a diehard Clemson Tigers fan and alumna. She's Tara Roberts. Tara,
how are you comes? Of Tigers now Bowl eligible as well.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Hell yeah, figure that. Yeah, doing good, doing good. It's
been a it's been a fun Sunday. It's been a
fun week in general.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
It has, I agree, a lot of surprising fantasy performances,
some letdowns here and there. We'll talk about it all
today on the program, and the show does look like this.
We'll break down the most notable injuries with Deepak and
the potential fantasy football fallout.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Then we'll break.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Down the top five storylines of the week and take
a trip to the panic meter as well. We'll certainly
then round out the program with a rapid fire Q
and a so send any questions you have and we'll
be sure to try to get to them. And before
we jump in, I first wanted to shout out everyone
tuning in either on the Fantasy Bros. YouTube channel or
the audio feed after the fact as well. We're so
so thankful for all the supports so far this season,

(01:49):
especially this time of the year where schedules get busy,
so we appreciate all the time you make for us
in the entire channel here. Please be sure to give
this video a thumbs up if you enjoy this type
of content. Also make sure you subscribe to the channel
if you're new. We're trying to get to three hundred
thousand subscribers by the end of the season, and we
can only do that with your help. And let's go ahead,
ladies and gentlemen. Let's jump right on the injury front.

(02:10):
First to where the Pittsburgh Steelers a couple injuries to
talk about. First wide receiver DK Metcalf in and out
of the lineup with an ankle injury. Today, Metcalf came
back in. He did finish the game, but he had
checked out of the game twice before. So Depak, what
do you think Metcalf is dealing with and is there
any chance he's unavailable next week after playing most of
this game?

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah, you know, I think there is a chance. If
I had to guess right now with limited information, I
would lean towards him being active. The fact that he
was able to come back after the initial injury suggests
that it maybe wasn't that severe, and then he was
back in and then kind of left after that again,
so we don't have a clear indication, but the mechanism
doesn't look severe on video, so hopefully we'll see him

(02:50):
return to practice at least this week.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Okay, and also his quarterback Aaron Rodgers, he was inactive
with a fractured wrist. Depok Mike Tomlin tol Us earlier
today that Rogers quote fought his tail off to try
to play this week. Does that mean he's up next
week against the Bills?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Typically it would, so he logged two limited practices. There
really isn't like a drastic change in the functional status
that happens. And they're talking more about safety, meaning like
if he were to fall on this, would it change significantly.
Unless you're going to sit him for the duration of
fracture healing, which is going to be like four to
six weeks, then you're probably going to see him come

(03:28):
back pretty soon. So I think most likely this coming
week is where you.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
See it, Tara, compared to this week where you had
the entire Pittsburgh Steelers offense. Is an upgrade getting a
little bit banged up of a Rogers back or is
it a downgrade for them?

Speaker 4 (03:42):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Uh, you know, the run game I think stays fairly
even regardless, it's kind of interesting. I honestly think the
downgrade ended up being there for the tight ends who
apparently Aaron Rodgers has just fallen in love with Mason
Rudolph ended up being a better situation for DK Metcalf,
So that was very intriguing there. So that's and something
to monitor.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah, I agree. I was very high on DK Metcalf
this week. Thought he could find the end zone had
it one of my touchdown calls. Didn't get to his
receiving yards prop just because I think he was out
so much of this game. But I don't hate Mason
Rudolph either way. I think things are looking up for
the Steelers in general. Not looking up though, for Cincinnati
Bengals wide receiver T Higgins. He suffered a concussion deepak.

(04:23):
In the past, we had pretty much viewed concussions as
at least a one game absence.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Lately, though, to quarterbacks like c J.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Stroud and Jackson Dart, it's been at least two games
missed now. So obviously no T Higgins on Thursday for
the Bengals Thanksgiving game against the Ravens.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
But is there a chance he also misses the Week
fourteen till against the Bills.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
There definitely is a chance, and you can't necessarily predict
severity of concussion just based on the severity of the hit,
but it looked pretty bad. With that being said, he
doesn't have a severe concussion history, so that works in
his favor. And most players would still miss one game
come back the following, so that would still be where
we would lean right now. But these do vary, as
we've seen as you mentioned with Stroud.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Okay and Tara.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
If Andrea Josavas is up for Thursday, he was also
banged up in and out of this game, but looks, okay,
are you rolling him back out after going four for
sixty one on seven targets, leading Cincinnati and receiving this week?

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I am yeah, And that was good on a game
where you know, Joe Flacco looked a little bit off
tilt there as well, so he's probably I would say
that Yorbsevas is probably one of, if not the most
reliable wide receiver threes in terms of a guy that
we know if one of those guys go down, they
trust him, volume will go to him, and he steps
up as a suitable wide receiver too. So yeah, if

(05:40):
he's out and line him right up there next to
Jamar Chase coming back roll with him as a as
a flex options DPAK.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
What do you expect from Joe Burrow if he's active
in this Thursday night football game? Do you like it
more than what we've seen from Joe Flacco or is
it maybe gonna take a couple games for Burrow to
get back to his usual self.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
He You would expect m to come back at a
pretty strong level here, so usually wouldn't need that much
of a ramp up. The concern would be agility in pocket,
mobility and protecting himself. So to me, I'm not sure
it makes a ton of sense to rushing back. But
with that being said, I would expect him to come
back at a high level when he does.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Okay, Well, glad to hear that.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Also an injury that we had first thing this morning,
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
He was inactive with a knee injury. Depawk.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
They tried to get him out there in pregame warm ups,
they did shut him down. What does that mean for
his availability also playing on Thanksgiving?

Speaker 4 (06:33):
It's going to be against Detroit.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
He's come out and said he's going to play, and
I don't think you're going to see a whole lot
of limitation here. Now. He had what they are calling
a knee contusion, and that is relatively good because they
recover quickly. So with all that in mind, I would
expect him to be out there. Would basically plug and
play him, assuming no reaggravation until then.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Okay, fantastic Tara Amana Wilson. He was a star to
day thirty touchd one hundred and twenty five toll yards,
two touchdowns, twenty six point five fantasy points. Is he
usable all this week if Josh Jacobs is up for Thanksgiving?

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Uh? No, because unfortunately, you know, unlike a Tyler Algier situation,
he does not get the touchdowns unfortunately when Josh Jacobs
is in there, so he gets carries limited and low
fantasy upside. But at the very least here we know
this is an elite handcuff here in terms of high
that you really want on your bench head and in
rest of season.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
I'm with you there, he certainly needs to be rostered
the rest of the way. Whether or not you roster
Jacobs doesn't really matter. Also, an injury on the offensive line,
a really brutal one here often to tackle Will Campbell
for the New England Patriots. He suffered a knee injury
the fourth overall pick, and this entire Patriots offensive line
has been awesome this season.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
What was this injury for Campbell?

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Depok The internet was anticipating this could be a worst
case scenario for the talented rookie.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah, this Unfortunately, there's a lot of risk here that
it might be an ACO. I would the least, we're
probably looking at an mcl sprain, which would be kind
of best case scenario usually average about two to three
weeks out. However, the knee does take a pretty forceful
hit and kind of twist a little bit, so the
comments from Diggs afterwards also implied that it is on

(08:17):
the worst side. So we have a little bit of
kind of waiting to do for the MRI result to confirm.
But some suspicion here that this one might be a
season ender.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Tara.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Could this injury impact Drake May and its entire Patriots
offense a lot like it maybe did with Joe Alt
when he went down for the Chargers? Do you think
you're taking a whole significant downgrade for this Newland Patriots offense?

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Sadly, yeah, I do not think it will be as
significant as it was for sure, Well, it might be
maybe not as significant as it was for Justin Herbert,
just because they had had multiple injuries that they were
dealing with, But this is big. Unfortunately, it does potentially
make things a little bit difficult in terms of mace
comfort in the pocket there and then blocking as well. Well.
So yeah, just a little downtick here unfortunately, and then

(09:03):
that'll affect the receivers.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
Also, Deepak in the late window, we had Alvin Kamara.
He was rolled out with a knee injury. Would do
you have any speculation on what this could be for Kamara?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
It's a little hard to tell from video. He did
take a twisting type of injury there. The fact that
he went to the tent and then put his helmet
on kind of looked like he was going to come back,
even though he didn't perhaps suggest a little bit of optimism.
But that is somewhat speculative. So really going to have
to watch and wait on this one.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Okay, Tara, if he's out, is it the rookie out
of Kansas we want Devin Neil or is it.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Maybe taste of hill time.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
We saw him get a ton of run in this one,
also throwing a lot near the goal line.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
And we need Taysom Hill to disappear. That was unnecessary
and unneeded. Devin Neil is the one that we want
to turn to there, and I don't have a lot
of faith in the because the run game has just
ineffective no matter who it's been. But I will say
they have a really good rest of season schedule for
the run in general, and we did see a solid
amount of check Devin Neil and he was very successful

(10:02):
with them. So perhaps in PPR there's a little optimism there.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Okay, Yeah, I think Taysom Hill at least may be
worth a roster spot, especially because he's going to be
a tight end, right so you could maybe throw him
in and even if he's getting ten carries a couple
of past attempts, I might be okay with that in
my tight end position these days.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
So just something to kind of keep in mind there.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Also, Deepak, last thing before we let you out of here,
I got a lot of questions in the chat right now,
what are your thoughts on Drake London. I've been seeing
a lot of questions this and I'm sure Tara has
on all the live streams this week coming in do
I sell low on London. Should I take like an
Alec Peer or a Romeo Dobb someone like that. What
do you advise someone here to do with the talented
wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Yeah, it's hard for me to imagine you getting good
value for him right now. It looked like a PCL sprain.
And with that, the average is going to be at
least two weeks out. So okay, most players would miss
this coming week. It's a little bit hard to know
for sure, but you often can see these linger You
saw Brock Powers and Ricky Pierce all dealing with similar things.
And I don't mean to paint a scary picture there,

(11:05):
but there's a real spectrum of severity here. And I
wouldn't panic on Drake London because some of these players
do come back pretty quick.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Okay. So it's kind of a gamble, is what you're saying.
If you're trading it very much more him or away.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Okay, So kind of the a risk tolerance situation type there.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
If you got to lay money on it, is he
back in the regular season? You think for fantasy managers.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
I would if I had to guess week fourteen to
sixteen or week fourteen to fifteen would probably be the timeline.

Speaker 1 (11:29):

let's go ahead and fire up the top five storylines

(12:43):
of the week, starting with an explosive day from Jamiir Gibbs.
He goes bonkers against the Giants fifteen for two, nineteen
and two on the ground, eleven for forty five and
one through the air on twelve targets, good for fifty
five point nine PPR points, the only player this year
PPR scoring to get over that fifty mark. He out
touched Dave Montgomery twenty seven to eight. Tara, where do

(13:05):
you have him ranked rest the season? The remaining schedule
looks like this, Green Bay Dallas, at the Rams Pittsburgh,
and then at Minnesota in week seventeen.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
I mean, that's so hard not to rank him as
the overall RB one, But in difficult matchups we have
seen that his ceiling does come down a little bit, right,
So RB three is I think, I'm admit, that's still amazing.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Right.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
He's so electric, been spectacular, The receiving upside is incredible.
It's just been wonderful watching him play this year and
really hitting that ceiling.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
I think the negative game script and the fact that
the Giants got out to a surprising early lead really
helped feed into Gibbs here and why Montgomery saw so
little action. So I'm with you. I don't want to
overreact too much. I still think he's right in that
RB three to RB five range. I would still take CMC,
I'd still take j T over him, And then I
think we get to a real conversation that next year

(14:03):
it's a Chan, it is Gibbs, and it's Bjeon.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Who would you prefer out of those three? Bjon, A Channing, Gibbs.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
I think I leaned towards Gibbs just because of the ceiling.
A Chan has been so reliable and so steady, and
rest of season schedule does lean very good for Miami
in general. So I could maybe give the slight edge
to Agen, but I don't think he has that top
level from Bijon, so I think right there in terms
of taking the chance on Gibbs because of the ceiling
just puts him slightly above there. But I think he's
definitely inched over Bijon. I got a good bit there unfortunately,

(14:37):
and that's not due to Bijon, it's just team situation unfortunately.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Yeah, yep, I'm with you there. I had Bejeon to
fallow into the end zone this week on the betting card.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
Didn't come through for me. RB five overall.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Gibbs coming into the week averaging twenty point four fantasy
points per game that will certainly increase. Also a storyline
this week, Tara Lamar Jackson continues to struggle. He was
thirteen of twenty three fifty three yards passing seven rushing
attempts at least, but only eleven yards on the ground,
seven point two fantasy points and what was a golden.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Matchup against the Jets at home.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
He's going to likely finish as a low in quarterback
this week after being a QB three last week. He
is now on pace for a career low rushing season
eighty attempts, four hundred and fifteen rushing yards, two touchdowns.
Rest of season schedule, it's great, it's elite, but so
is this mashup since he Pittsburgh, since he new England
Green Bay.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
Tara, are you now at the point where you're.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Willing to take seventy five, maybe sixty cents on the
dollar for Lamar Jackson or is it still like, hey,
this is actually a by low target for me.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Still, I think he's a fine by low. I mean,
there's the problem is is there's something clearly not quite right,
and with the receiving cores lacking, just in general, we
rely on Lamar Jackson to really get that upside with
his legs. And if it's not there because the hamstring
is still maybe bothering him a little bit, that presents

(15:58):
an issue too for us in general. But because of
that perception in the way that people are panicking, I
do think it's a very interesting bilo with what you
were saying. With the rest of season schedule being so advantageous,
I mean, we would have loved to see him step
up against the Jets when we were talking about two
matchups with Cincinnati. I mean, it's just it's hard to
it's hard to pass up that.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Yeah, I'm right there with you. It's so tough because
the schedule's great. I talked a lot about it last
week on the Trade episode with Andrew Erickson. I'm still
at the point though, like if someone's willing to give
me a good RB two and there's like a Joe
Burrow or someone like that sending out there on waivers
that you could run the rest of the season, maybe
even streaming it by if you're in a shallower league,
I'm okay with doing that. Like, I just I don't

(16:41):
know if that hamstring is right, man, And like I
just don't think at the same time that he can
step into the past like he could. He missed a
couple of deep shots in this one that just felt
like what are you doing? You know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Like Lamar usually.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
Has that, so a little disappointing there for me, Like
rest of season? Is he still top five quarterback for
you think? Or do you think you're done with saying that?

Speaker 3 (17:01):
I still say top five because at the end of
the day, he's not the only one out there selling us.
You know, we had the Drake Ja where we thought
he was going off and that was underwhelming. Josh Allen
underwhelming us as well. So honestly, I mean, which you know,
maybe to your point means that it is a good
sell opportunity because if we can make something and maybe
stream and get better upside with you know, streaming options,

(17:25):
that's that's a viable way. But I a lot of
guys are underwhelming and giving us inconsistent performance this year,
so I give him a slight pass on that.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Okay, Yeah, he was still the ecr QB two.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
So the community as a whole, the rankers are still
high on Lamar Jackson. We just need to see it
comfort to fruition and this is really the last time
to get out from under him, right. Most fantasy trade
deadlines will happen before Thanksgiving. I know some if you
customize it won't. But for the most part, trade windows
are closing.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
And let's go ahead and get.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
To the next storyline as well, where it's all about
dropping donuts and terror.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
What's your favorite donut shop? Is it Dunkin? Do you
have a different local chain? What's your favorite donuts?

Speaker 3 (18:04):
I'm from Houston, so people will be mad at me this,
but it is. It's Krispy Kremes for me, originally from
South Carolina, It's always Krispy Kremes. Okay, Yes, Okay, sign
only on that one.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Okay, Well, I'm glad. I'm glad to hear that.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Have you ever had duck donuts? That's like a very
like foody type of donuts around here. They're expensive, but
they're kind of like, I don't know, they're a treat,
is what my fiance tells me.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
So no, I've never heard of that. Interesting.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Yeah, look it up. They're fancy. They're fancy.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
But speaking of dropping donuts, we had a bunch of
wide receivers drop some donuts in week number twelve here,
and I want to know from you can they be
trusted moving forward? First one with James and Williams posted
a donut on three targets and a great matchup. Second
donut this season though, third game under three fancy points
as well. Jordan Addison dropped a donut on just one target.

(18:51):
JJ McCarthy just eighty seven passing yards, two interceptions, twelve
I'm nineteen passing, averaging five points in the games where
JJ mc carthy has played where he hasn't scored a touchdown,
and then Rashid Shaheed point five fantasy points on two targets,
no catches, one rush for five yards aftering just two
point nine fantasy points in three games with the Seattle

(19:12):
Seahawks of Tara. Which of these widers years, if any
of them, can you trust moving forward?

Speaker 3 (19:17):
I trust Jamison here. We got Sam Laporta out. This
was a painful one because I thought we were continuing
the little touchdown streak here. But you know the difference
between him and the other guys on the list is
that we've seen him get hot in recent games. He's
been thriving in terms of both touchdowns and he's had
some volume as wells here, so I can this was
a matchup where he should have gone off. But I

(19:38):
guess it's kind of difficult when you have Gibbs just
showing out to such an extreme level there. So I'll
give a pass on this one. The other ones, though,
the other ones are a major issue. Or Jordan Addison,
JJ McCarthy. Unfortunately, I want JJ to work, but it's
not working right now. And then Rashid Shaheed beat them
with it. Unfortunately, it's it's not him he should have

(20:00):
in New Orleans. Seattle is not a place where the
wide receiver three. It's JSN That's it.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
I'm totally with you.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
I think It's one of those situations in Seattle where
the pie isn't that big to begin with because they
run so much and JSN has taken so much of that,
like the only pass catcher for Seattle outside.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Of Jackson Smith Nijig.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
But I'm willing to roll out is if I'm desperate
for a tight end, I have to go a j Barner. Right,
That's really the only situation I want to be involved in.
Rashisha Heet, He's waiver wire fodder at this point. You
can joined Cooper Cup, Tory Horton, everyone else out there,
and man like you got to keep holding on to
Jordan Adison, but he becomes really tough to play, right.
And I've been the person who's gone on the record

(20:39):
saying like, look, we got to give JJ time. He
missed all last season, didn't even get practice reps because
he was banged up, been hurt a lot of this season.
It is not looked good though it has not looked good,
and it is hard to put.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Like really faith.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
I mean, you're rolling justin Jefferson out because you have
to at this point, but you don't feel great about it.
So and I think your analysis on on James and Williams.
It was spot on because he is the one person
I'm still trusting him. I think for a lot of
people who are starting to get in that like wide
receiver two mix, I think he's still a wide receiver
three right, because all the wide receiver threes, as Jake
Seely tells us every single week, are gonna be volatile.

(21:12):
They're gonna go off for twenty points, but they're also
gonna get you a donut once in a while. And
with Dan Campbell calling the plays now, Jamo has been
so much more solid, involved a lot more so I'm
with you. I'm still rolling Jmo out as a wide
receiver three. I think Addison now kind of flirting with
that wide receiver four territory, if you would. I think
there's a lot of guys we are now considering over him,

(21:34):
and bra.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
Sheid she'd see you, so yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Disappointing there, but we also did have one wide receiver
that absolutely popped off today.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
The fourth story lineup of the week won Dale Robinson.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
He opens a final cell high window nine for one
fifty six, one touchdown, fourteen targets, thirty point six fantasy points.
A lot of this coming in the first quarter with
everyone's favorite quarterback, Jameis Winston, was eighth in the NFL
and targets coming in, so he's been seeing a ton
of all you with Malik Neighbors down just wide receiver
thirty four points per game. Though, Tara to use this

(22:04):
to sell high window that is opening at the last
moment here, or is this maybe a thing a sign
of things to come? Remaining scheduled in New England, bye week, Washington, Minnesota,
at Las Vegas to round it out.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
The bye week does present a little issue there, but
overall I'm so in on Wandale Robinson right now. Really Okay, Yeah,
I feel super good about him. He's thriving as the
wide receiver one there in terms of being very reliable
with volume and targets. The targets have been incredibly consistent
for him, and we can excuse a couple of the situations,

(22:38):
but you know, prior week with Jamis Winston, wind was
an issue. So overall feel good about him. Having a
solid floor there, you could sell high, but I don't
know if what you would get out of him ultimately
is really going to be worth it.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Yeah, I'm right there with you.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
I think terror just because now they're starting to use
Wandale a little differently. Before he was always this guy
he could go out and get you fifteen twenty targets
and he might only turn it into forty five yards. Right.
We've seen that a time or two. It's always, you know,
in the gambling streets, a big issue. Do you take
the receptions with him? Do you take the receiving yards?
And usually you learn lean receptions in this spot in particular,

(23:14):
Now we're seeing him get open down the field. Does
Jackson d help him or hurt him? Do you think
coming back? Because Jamis has been really fun. We saw
him catch a touchdown past, it's been you know, Jameis
Winston prime as always. But I do worry that maybe
Dart lowers the ceiling just a little bit.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
While I still like the kid though he does.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Yeah, he lowers the ceiling, and that's no offense to
Jackson Dart. Look, he doesn't have to throw, you know,
from a fantasy perspective, we don't need him to throw
a volume. And it's not as if he's out there
struggling in terms, it's not a justin fields type of thing.
He just doesn't have aggressive pass volume. Most of the
time there, and that does limit the ceiling ultimately there
for Wandell Robinson, Yeah, I wish we had gotten I
wish we didn't have that weather game and we got
one more of this beautiful outing between Wandale and Jameis Winston.

(23:57):
The world just needs more of this. This is just bliss. Yeah,
but it does lower the ceiling unfortunately there With Jackson Dart.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
I completely agree with you.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
It's so much fun watching Winston back out there, and
Nelson in the chat saying, I agree with Tara, Wandale
could be a league winner.

Speaker 4 (24:12):
Bye week is definitely a minus.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
So that's the thing, and I think if you have
a manager who isn't afraid of the bye week and
will maybe really by high I'm absolutely okay with selling Wandale,
But at the same time, like I think that bye
week's gonna be tough to sell him for what value
he's bringing to your lineup every week.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
So good to see that.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Also, good to see everyone's opinions on the donuts here
Krispy Kreme not bad at all, Nelson's saying coming from
a Northeastern who's surrounded by Duncan Shipley's again, in a
lot of what is a Shipley's Donuts.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
I've never heard of that.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
You we have it here in Houston and we have
literally like one Krispy Kremes and then it's the rest
of Shipley. Shipley's is awesome. It is, but like Krispy
Kreme is, like there's nothing better than a hot Krispy Kremes,
like just fresh fresh from the oven.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
I'm glad to hear that.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
I'll have to check out Shipley's though, with everyone's comments
in the chain next time we make it down South.
Final storyline of the week, we have a new crop
of waiver receivers appearing and really excited about a couple
of these players, starting with Chimry DK five for forty
four and one on seven targets plus another punt return
touchdown for the kid that's the second this season. Also,

(25:18):
he has scored sixteen plus PPR points in three of
his last five games. And John Metchi out of nowhere
from the top rope, six for sixty five and one
on seven targets, eighteen point five PPR points for the
former Houston Texan. We also had him scoring thirteen point
five PPR points last week. Isaiah Hodgins, one of Jake
Sealey's favorite waiver wire targets of the week two for

(25:39):
forty two and one on six tars twelve point two
fantasy points back to back games now with de Le
digit fantasy points six targets as well in both those
adding since joining the Giants. He does have a bye
week with Wan del in week fourteen. So, Tara, do
you agree that all three of these wide receivers deserve
a spot on your roster?

Speaker 4 (25:57):
And how would you rank them? If so?

Speaker 3 (25:58):
They do? And when I saw you included this, I
was so happy because these are some of these are
my boys. DK is like my guy, love him. I
think he should and can be the wide receiver one
moving forward rest of season for cam Ward and Ward,
to his credit, is looking a lot like we're seeing
that improvement. We're not seeing from JJ because he obviously
didn't get that time. We're seeing that improvement from cam

(26:19):
Ward here. So I feel really good about it rest
of season and I like the upcoming schedule too, Matchie,
good upcoming schedule as well. Again, a Dan Mitchell has
Unfortunately it's another bad outing that has made it very
clear it's just him. Unfortunately, it's just him, Matchie, was
a good prospect and you know, health held him back.
He's bad, Like this is his time to shine. I'm

(26:41):
so in and I'm so happy for him. And then
Isaiah Hodgens, I do I fear he has stolen Slayton's
little gig there unfortunately, which makes sense. He you know,
obviously has great rapport with Mike Koka. He was in
the Giants organization for the vast majority of his career there,
so yeah, it does make sense.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Yeah, I think I would definitely order them d case
probably the priority, but I think him and Mechi are
probably pretty interchangeable. And then Hodgens is probably like if
I need a streamer this week, but he's not a player,
I necessarily tend to roster the rest of the way
Deeky right now, roster at eleven point nine percent of
league's Metchi zero point five, Hodgens zero point five. That's

(27:18):
ESPN roster ship, so very very out there. And I
loved your take on ad Mitchell. It feels like a breakup,
like it's not me, it's you.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
You know, it is not me.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
I know everyone likes to say switch that the other
way around, but it is certainly Ady Mitchell.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Before we get forward to the panic meter.

Speaker 1 (27:36):

Speaker 4 (29:18):
And let's go ahead and fire up the panic meter.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Let us know down below in the comments who you're
panicking about and we'll rate them on a scale from
one to ten about how much we're panicking on them.
One means, hey, we're not really panicking that much, and
ten means it's full blown panic mode. So Tara, let's
go ahead and jump right into the panic meter. And
I got a couple start up here already, starting with
Cede Lamb.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
A lot of people disappointing with the drops GP.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
George Pickens has been dynamite, one of the best values
in drafts this season.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
It's kind of starting to take away from Ceedee Lamb.
So what is your panic meter on the former Oklahoma Sooner.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
It's like it's like a five. I am panicked that obviously,
I mean, Pickens is Pickens. That's not ending his dominant
He's so dominant, just insane there, And unfortunately it does
take away from CD Lamb's upside there. But at the
end of the day, he is far better than a
lot of lowen guys that you're putting out there, So
we're rolling with him regardless there.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yeah, I agree, Like, do I think we're ever going
to get the Cee Lamb that we paid top five
draft capital?

Speaker 4 (30:22):
Probably not?

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Like that doesn't seem like it's in the cards this year,
but still like, it's hard to panic for me too
much on a guy that has delivered over double digit
PPR points in every game that he's remained healthy this season. Right,
he's still coming into this week was averaging fifteen points
per game. I don't know if he ever gets back
to the twenty point per game.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
Clip that he was at a season ago. In the
year before that.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
I think this is kind of the reality, but he's
still low in wide receiver ones. I put it like
a three I think, but we all need to face
reality though. Like you said, Tara, that George Pickens has
kind of stolen the show, and it kind of reminds
me if we go back to like twenty seventeen, or
maybe I think it was twenty nineteen. I can't remember
the exact year, but do you remember the year Juju
Smith Schuster broke out next to ab and then Juju
was never really that good again?

Speaker 4 (31:05):
It kind of feels like a situation like that.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
While Pickens is a much better player than I think
Juju ever was, there is something to be said about
being the two opposite of an elite alpha that's going
to draw double coverage, right.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
Yeah, I agree on that one.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
The next one here is from Carlos. He's saying, can
we trust brock Bowers moving forward?

Speaker 4 (31:24):
Terror?

Speaker 1 (31:24):
This is a really tough one too, because brock Bowers,
we've seen the explosive games once this season. Aside from that,
it's been, you know, living in that eight to fifteen
point range. What do you think that you saw have
in today? And how do you feel about moving forward?

Speaker 3 (31:39):
You know, in a tough matchup here where we knew
that Miles Garrett Garrett was just gonna use an abooze
poor Gino Smith there. This was about as good as
we could get there. I would have liked to see
better production, but really and truly, this was just a
tough situation. I'm okay with it. You know. We wish
that we could get those wonderful, ridiculous three touchdown games

(32:00):
multiple times here. The only issue that we have is
that the rest of season's schedule is so disgusting it's bad.
And I do think that this Raiders' offensive line is
going to continue to struggle here. So we are at
a mild panic here. He's definitely not our top tight
end here, might not be our tight end two, might
not be on tighten three here he might be coming
down a little bit.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
I'm with you.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
I think it's like hard to fade him completely. I
think he's still very much in that top five mix.
But he's another guy that I think you have to have.
If you're still valuing him as the tight end one,
your panic meter needs to be up. If not, I
think we can keep it low. But I do agree
it's tough to trust. And we talked a little bit
about the Vikings earlier. A lot of questions about justin Jefferson,

(32:43):
the Minnesota Vikings pass catchers coming in.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
Where are they at the on the panic meter for you?
Because while they.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Haven't been great the rest of the season's schedule, it's
pretty stinking nice Seattle, Washington, at Dallas at the Giants
and Detroit to close out. So any hope that things
turn around for j Jedis Company Or are you at
a ten at this point?

Speaker 3 (33:02):
I'm at an eight. I won't put it quiet at
a ten, but it's in a bad place right here.
I just we're not seeing the progression. Unfortunately from McCarthy.
He can, you know, maybe can get it over the
over the off season, but I don't know if this
is something that we're going to be seeing develop in
season here. You know, Jefferson still does have some level
of a decent floor there for us. Unfortunately, it is

(33:24):
nowhere near the value with which we were drafting him.
And then Addison unfortunately is boom bust, and unfortunately the
bust is just a bad area there for him.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Yeah, and I talked about earlier this week when we
were discussing Jefferson as media buy low.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
Is that, like, the opportunity is there.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Right before this week he was six in targets, he
was six and target share, fifth in air yards, seventh
in air yards share, fifth in deep targets, eighth and
first read targets. So the opportunity is there, it's just
the efficiency has not been right. Ninety second in quarterback
rating per target before this week, also down into seventy
fourth and fancy points per target at one point five

(34:01):
to four.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
So JJ McCarthy has to get this.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
Efficiency up, and at this point I am worried that
maybe this is a little bit of a lost season.
I think you'll still see volume next week at Seattle
if they're trailing in that one. Washington and Dallas makes
me happy. I just think there's a chance, Like, what
do you have Jefferson is probably like rest of season,
like a high end wide receiver two. Still in that
low end wide receiver one mix. Is that kind of
where we have him, but we don't feel great about it.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
It's mid tier unfortunately. Yeah, because unfortunately, like on a
week to week basis, you know, wide receiver fifteen ish
is a rate very much so a reality. So it
feels weird to push him back that far. But unfortunately
that's that's about where I feel comfortable with him.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Okay, another panic meter here from Nelson DeAndre Swift. I
believe he was out snapped by Minong Guy in this game,
definitely out touched by him.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Swift has been super solid.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Pretty much all season long, Tarra really giving you a
very very nice floor almost every single week. NFL out
this week one point nine PPR points form eight for
fifteen on the ground, just one for fourteen.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Through the air as well.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
This was a Pittsburgh defense that has been a bit
hit or miss, and they're definitely hit through the passing game,
but definitely a little miss on the ground, particularly with
DeAndre Swift especially getting vultured by Manogai Yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
This is an interesting one here. I didn't look at
the snap, so I don't know if it was out
snapped and out touched. But man, I think we're seeing
a flip in the red zone. And Manungai has been
very effective. It's been quite a while since we've seen
a touchdown from DeAndre Swift, and technically speaking, Chicago told
us that it might be a bit of a hot

(35:40):
hand situation, and you know, DeAndre Swift gets the first
crack at it. So if he starts off great, that's
fantastic and he can keep his workload. But unfortunately he
started off rough and then Kalmanungai thrives. So I'm not shocked,
and it tells us that there will be inconsistency there.
I think there will be games where he still is,
you know, a viable you know RB two, you know,

(36:01):
low end RB two to mid tier, but at the
end of the day, the tops, the upside is capped
now unfortunately there for him.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Yeah, I think also with the emergence of Luthor Burden,
the third the talented rookie on Missouri, it also takes
that role a little bit down for Swift, and I
wouldn't panic too much just because, like there is the
fact that you said hot hand approach snap counts by
the way thirty five from Anagai twenty nine. For Swift
the Steelers, how you attack them is with the tight
end in the middle of field and with slot wide receivers,
and that's pretty much what the Bears did. They got

(36:30):
a little bit lucky on the outside a few times
with DJ Moore just running wide open.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
So I think better days are ahead. But I do
agree with you.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
I think the ceiling for Swift is out of there
and he's really just you know, kind of a floor
play at RB two right now the rest of the way.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
So yeah, I definitely feel you on that one.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Let's go ahead and let's get to the questions, Tarah.

Speaker 4 (37:33):

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Dot com slash chat and go ahead, folks, drop your
Sunday or rest of season specific questions below and we'll
be sure to try to get to as many as
we can as we round out the show. And let's
start with one from B five ten zero. Are you
dropping Kenneth Gainwell for Alie Gordon? The second Tarot's a
really nice game for gain Well. I don't think I'm

(37:58):
trying to get uninvested at this point.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
I can't. Yeah, I again, you know, Ollie Warden's a
great handcuff, but Gainwell has legitimate split value in that
backfield with Warren.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
Yeah, I agree, he's getting honestly a pretty decent workload
and especially through the passing game, and he's even getting
some red zone work, which you like to see. So
I'm there with you, Dreadius asking in the chat as well,
do we think Tyrod is going to continue being the
starter for the Jets?

Speaker 4 (38:26):
Tara? Do you ever read on this?

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Because it's always tough to see what Woody Johnson's going
to do, But based on his comments earlier this season
about justin fields and how the Jets have seemed to
play somewhat more consistent, at least with Taylor under center,
I do think it's Tyron rust of the way.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
What do you think I do? It's tough to trust
the Jets in general to make choices there and consistency
in their decisions, But I mean, we saw more than
enough here that Trod is the far more competent quarterback there.
They do have to roll with that rest the season
just to give the team some kind of hope there.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Would you trade Drake London for Bucky Irving one problem
for another? Based on Deepak's reports, I don't know if
I would, Terror just because I feel like if Bucky
does come back and we are seeing that he could
be up as soon as week number thirteen. I don't
know if he ever takes the full workload back, right,
we haven't seen what Sunday Night Football will bring us
yet and how the workload tonight shakes out with Tucker

(39:22):
and White. I just think it's kind of a three
headed committee the rest of the way, and I don't
really want to invest it in that.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
I'll take my chances with Drake London. What about you?

Speaker 3 (39:30):
I agree, especially with the comments that they made Jack's
made about easing you know, Bucky and God went back in,
So I mean, we'll have a good barometer of seeing
how they ease. God went back in, and that'll give
us a little, you know, thing to note there. But
I do feel like we're gonna see continued contributions from
Sean Tucker there, and if you know, if what Deepak
was saying, just hold in tight there on Drake London

(39:52):
and if he comes back for the Fantasy playoffs there,
that would be my preference.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
How do you feel about Roma Dunze from Nelson rest
of the season. And I'm a bit concerned, honestly, Like,
not only do we have Luther Burden who is starting
to get more and more targets, But for whatever reason,
it felt like the chemistry that him and Caleb Williams
had earlier in the season when he had four straight
games of fifteen plus Fantasy points has not been there
over the last stretch. Right since their bye week, they've
had seven total games and he has only hit diulggit

(40:21):
PPR points, only been over nine PPR points twice terror
So I do worry a little bit the schedule Philly,
Green Bay, Cleveland, Green Bay, sandfrayan like week seventeen Sandfry
and I love him there, but he got four weeks
of kind of trepidacious water to get there.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
Yeah, I agree on that when it's frustrating because the targets,
but there are nine targets. It's just you know, when
you catch only three of them, it does look like
it might be a bit disjointed. I don't know if
that's on Rome or if that's on Caleb, but at
this point we have a ton of evidence that that
that might just be, you know, what their chemistry is
right now and the rest of season. We do know

(40:58):
that the ball has been spread around quite significantly there,
So I am concerned about it. He's moving down and
Rakings unfortunately.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
Yeah, I think I'm right there with you, Tarah. I
think I'm right there with you. I'm a little concerned,
and I think at this point you kind of have
to keep him like I don't really think you can
get fair value out on the trade market if you
even have a trade market still open. So I'm with
you there, Tarah. Thank you so much for all the
great insight tonight, anything else you have coming this week
that we should be keeping an eye out for.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
We got the five Moves Make video and like you
were saying, we're closing in on the trade deadline, so
this is it. So it's a pretty critical one there
for us.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
Absolutely shout to Nelson in the chat saying props to
Seth for host and most of this season.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
