Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, and welcome into the Fantasy Pros Fantasy Football Podcast.
It's the week sixteen Start sit episode where we'll help
you get locked in for the Fantasy semi Finals. I'm
your host, Seth Wilcock, joined by two of the top
rankers in the game. And no it's not Mike Mayer. Instead,
we're gonna be settling for the stylings of the athletics.
Jake seely, Jake, how are you down there in Virginia

(00:23):
Beach as the Christmas preparation begins.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Trying to figure out the weather going from twenty degrees
to sixty degrees for the next two days. I know
people are complaining about oh, you guys sixty degrees, Like, well,
I just I want some kind of consistency. But I'm
doing good at least at a tight end position. I
like I was the only person to have Koley Parkinson
as a title one last week, which means, go, you
know what's gonna happen as the time that people are
watching those on Friday, it probably means you put up
three points on Thursday night.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yep, Terrence ferguson week that's locking in. That's what I
think about the Rams tight end situation, but excited about Parkinson.
We'll see him here on Thursday night. We're also joined
by a man who is such a veteran of both
the fancy industry and the Christmas game that he used
to actually spend entire days in the mall every December
fighting for the latest trendy gifts. He's Pat fits More's FITZI.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
How are you?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Do you miss the person Christmas chaos or have you
kind of settled into the online shopping life.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Oh, I've definitely settled into the online shopping life stuff.
I do not miss the last minute shopping at malls.
And I was absolutely a last minute mall shopper and
that was just, you know, that was a descent into hell.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
So I'm glad that those are over.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I'm with you there, man, I still have a good
bit of Christmas shopping left to do. I think Saturday
we have a full slate of NFL games, college football
playoff games on. I'm just gonna tune in there, sit
in the recliner and just have Amazon up all day.
And that's that's pretty much what's on the agenda for me.
Did your kids miss like the Tickle me Elmo fad?
Because I heard that was apparently one of the craziest

(01:51):
time to be a Christmas shopper.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, they were, they were past that.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Okay, we're definitely other trendy, trendy things we had to get,
you know, okay video games for my son and I
forget all sorts of all sorts of things for my daughter.
But yeah, I don't miss that, like the things that
you have to get this or your child's Christmas. It's
going to be a boss like that. That was pressure, man.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yeah, Jake, you look like someone who might have missed
out on like a PS five and had to do
like a back alley deal for one. Have you been
in that type of situation before?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Not even like you're too. So I was sitting here
surprised at the fact that, like, you guys wait till
the last minute, Like I'm the type of person that
was always done with Christmas shopping and like October and
oh my goodness, yeah, the pre orders where I was
able to get like a second PS three and then
sell it on eBay. Because I was about to say
I was that blank and get bleeped out for it
to just say, like it sounds like dude, but it's

(02:45):
not dude, I was that jerk won't put it out,
but I never did, like five or ten or twenty
of them. But that's okay. Like if I come off
extra ornery everybody today, my Papa's at the VET got
into chocolate.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Not my fault.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I am a very good dog dad, and that's why
I'm a little ornery and pissed off. So like if
I'm extra ornerary, people know they like give a fight.
But yeah, everything else is good. The Christmas shopping for
Nicole and everything was done weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Good, good well. Prayers up to the pup as well,
man hoping for a speed of recovery there. We know
those VET visits, especially during the holiday season, no fun
at all, but what a great time too. Yeah right.
I think I had my cat in the emergency er
back on the mortal day, so I completely understand the
stress that ads. But hopefully we can break away for
that from a for just a little bit here we

(03:28):
have a loaded show for everyone. Start sits this week
for the popular Waiver Wire ads, the flag plant players,
plus more start sit debates than Richie rich has Christmas
presents under the tree this year, Quick shadow as well
to everyone who's spreading the holiday magic with us either
on the Fansy Pros YouTube channel or the ideo feed.
We really appreciate all the sports so far this season.
Please do a quick favorite give this video a thumbs

(03:50):
up if you enjoyed this type of content. Also, make
sure you subscribe to the channel if you're new, help
us get over three hundred thousand subscribers. That's all I
want for Christmas this year, so don't be a grinch.
Help us out on that. Also, be sure there you go,
There you go, jakeson the spear already, and be sure
to check out our weekly and rest of season rankings
at fantasypros dot com slash rankings. Also, some rookie rankings

(04:12):
should be up there in the new year as well.
And gentlemen, let's start out with whether we're starting or
sitting this week's popular waiver wire ads, and it starts
with Michael Carter ECR RB twenty eight. Bam Knight is out,
Tray Benson not coming back, so will be Michael Carter
the rest of the way. In Drew Petzig's offense, he
saw eighteen total touches last week, good for thirteen point

(04:33):
four fantasy points. Can he have similar success or perhaps
even more against the Falcons this week, Jake, I.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Guess I love him because I have him at twenty six.
I will say, like, I don't care what the ranking
might be. I will say I'm not actively trying to
slam him into my lineup, if that makes sense. Okay,
I think people might need him, and I think that
this matchup's not as scary as it was for the
first half of the season. The Falcons defense has been
more vulnerable and especially against the run as of recent

(05:01):
so I think it's actually a positive matchup. But the
problem here is what we've seen before. Like, I'm not
afraid of day Mercado, but if they do get more
pass happy, maybe they fall behind, which I know everybody's like, well,
that's what we love Jacoby Brissett for. We wanted to
fall behind and throw a bunch. But maybe if they
fall behind, you start to see day Marcatto get a
few more shares of the Snap's not that Michael Carter's
not a bad pass catcher, it's just you might see

(05:22):
this split being sixty forty and start getting closer to
fifty to fifty. So that's the risk. I think he
can have another solid performance. I have him right there
on the heels of Ashton Genty and I didn't see
the schedule to see if we're talking about him, but
that's how bad things are for Genty right now. But
like I said, I think the biggest thing is, like
I'm not actively trying to say I need to get
him on my lineup, but you might need to get

(05:43):
him in my lineup or your lineup. So that's why
I have him just outside the RB two range.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Pat This Cardinals backfiel has been pretty gross all season.
Since James Connor went down and then Trey Benson goes down.
We thought it was Michael Carter initially going to be
the next man up. Turns out was Bam Knight. Now
we've kind of done a little yo yo, and we
are back to Michael Carter. How do you feel about
him in semi finals week?

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Yeah, you said it.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
The Arizona backfield has been really tough to read ever
since the Trey Benson injury, and last week Ben Night
got hurt on like the Cardinals first offensive play and
after that it was fifty three snaps for Michael Carter
and seven for Amari de Mercado. So like Jake said,
I think it's possible this is more sixty forty or

(06:27):
even fifty to fifty this week. Who knows because it
has been hard to read. But I do think Michael
Carter is going to be pretty heavily involved, and he
does have dual run catch ability, and after having a
pretty decent game against the tough Texans D last week,
now he gets a matchup against the Falcons that's probably
at worst neutral. So right now I have this might

(06:51):
be really aggressive I have. I have Michael Carter ranked
RB nineteen, but I am going to be I'm going
to be paying attention to the Cardinal Beat writers this
week to see if they, you know, pass along anything
about the possibility that there's a much heavier dose of
Amari de Mercado this week, and if there is an
I'll back down a little bit on that rank for Carter.

(07:13):
But as of no, I mean, based on what we
saw last week, I think you have to assume that
Carter is going to get a clear majority of the work.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Okay, wow, Michael Carter top twenty running back potentially for
pat This is where we are, folks, And you know,
I put out a social media post earlier this week
that I really think this year, of all the years
of Fantasy as of at least the last decade or so,
the best team might not win, right It's going to
be the manager who's willing to make the right start
sit call, the manager who's willing to go out and

(07:44):
find a flyer off the waiver wire. And another one
of those flyers is Audric Estimate of the Saints. He's
coming in right now ECRRB thirty five. He was forty
two late last night when I was starting to put
this together. He has been moving up since we have
the out rolling for Devin Neil. And if you had
a bowling ball on your Christmas list, that's what you're
getting here from Autric Estimate. This is a guy a

(08:04):
bit of a plotter type of running back, not a
very strong pass catcher, at least what we saw from
his time there in South Bend. He's likely going to
be the start of this week though no Devin Neil.
Alvin Kamar is still likely on the shelf as well.
Beautiful matchup though, right as good as it gets here
against the New York Jets. They've a lot eleven touchdowns
two running backs over the past month alone fits the
everyone has smashed against the Jets this season, but with

(08:28):
fancy championships up for grabs, are you trusting this former Irish?

Speaker 4 (08:34):
I think you could trust him, Seth. The only issue
is that after Devin Neil left the game last week,
Estime and Evan Hall split work. Yeah, even Lee, And
it was kind of interesting that Estime had three catches
for thirty nine yards and Evan Hall had no catches
considering that Estime had twenty six catches in his college
career and Evan Hall had ninety four.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Yeah, right, Like Evan Hall was a pass.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Catching back at Northwestern when he played here in my backyard,
and es Toma was just kind of a banger. So
I'm not sure how this split is going to work out.
And maybe Taysom Hill is involved too, which is always annoying.
But es Toma was definitely the more accomplished college runner.
And Jake might have more thoughts on this since I

(09:17):
think he's a Notre Dame guy and we saw last
week that Estimate can catch passes too, that he's capable
and has that in a skill set. So, like you said,
great matchup against the Jets defense that's given up the
second most Fantasy points to running back, so I have
ESTMA ranked RB thirty four. I do think he's sort
of in that flex realm.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Okay, Jake. I will never forgive Evan Hall because I
had him on roster a couple of years ago. Before
Week one, I had to make the tough decision do
I cut Puka Nakua or do I cut Evol? And yeah,
I went the wrong way on that one, needless to say. So,
how do you think this backfield shakes out for the Saints?

Speaker 4 (09:56):
I so yes.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
The Notre Dame situation is that I really didn't I
believe in estimate. I don't believe in a lot of
Notre Dame running backs because they had a lot of
the benefit of running behind one of the best offensive
lines year after year after year in that offense, and
then of course some of the scheduled players that they
face or teams that they face. So it's never an estimate. Guy,
And everything that Fitz just said is part of the
thing I was looking at that it was split and
that is it going to be Evan hole in front

(10:19):
of estimate. But I think here's the question. Then I
just need to ask everybody else do you need to
be this desperate, like, because I think my answer is no,
I am making a statement quote unquote, I have estimate
at forty six and Evan hold fifty three. And that's
with no Devin Neel. Like My point is, don't start him,
like I just don't. I would start Sharbonne I would
start Jordan Mason, I would start I even look, Pacheco

(10:42):
got back in the lead. He didn't look very good,
but he was back in the lead against Like I
am just not chasing his backfield because yes, it's a
great matchup, as you mentioned, But what if it's Tyler Shuck.
What if Shuck turns into you know, bo Nick Jackson
Dart this week, which he already has flashed at times.
What if Taysom Hill gets another eight to ten touches
like he has in the PASTI of the backfield And
that's what I'm saying, Like I do have Sma ahead

(11:04):
of Evan Hull because I don't really necessarily believe in
Hull either, and I'm sure one of the two will
probably surprise and get fifteen touches and make us all
look dumb. But my point here is just like you're
in the playoffs. You don't need to be chasing this
if we're talking about a sixteen team league. Okay, fine, Estima,
but that's where I have. I'm an RB four, But
it's more of the fact that it's like, not so
much that it's like, oh, estimate is at forty six.

(11:26):
He means he's terrible. It just means I'd rather start
Tyler Algier in a split backfield before chasing the Saints.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Okay, fair enough. Let's go to another running back who
is probably available in most leagues right now, Jaar Jordan
for the Houston Texans ECR RB sixty six. We're not
sure the status of wood he marks, but he was
a DNP on Wednesday, but if he can't go, expect
a healthy dose of Jordan, who was elevated to the
active roster this week after spending some time on the

(11:52):
practice squad. He's been with the Texans since coming out
of Louisville as a sixth round pick in twenty twenty four.
He saw seventeen touches last week. Now gets the Raiders, Jake,
will you be starting or sitting Jordan if Woody isn't
up for this one?

Speaker 2 (12:05):
I think for me. Nick Chubb has to be out
as well, Like I would have Jordan in front of
Nick Chubb, but the veteran somebody that they continue to
go back to time and again this year, and it
took the bye week and then we saw that the
DeMeco Ryans was like, they're not rookies anymore. And I
put that on quotes because that was actually his quote
as the fact that like that we finally saw what
he marks despite flashing throughout the year. So if there

(12:28):
is no marks end, no Nick Chubb, I would pretty
much slide Jordan into where I had Devin Neil before this,
like right around RB twenty, because I think there's similar
running backs. Honestly, Like my comparison for Jordan coming out
of college was like Antonio Gibson Jerrick McKinnon type. And
that's in the fact that like I don't think he's
a true bellcal like run between the tackles, slam between
the tackles all the time. But when you're getting that

(12:50):
kind of volume, and the Texans have been markedly better
in the second half of the season, including their offensive line.
It's still not amazing, but it's much better than it
has been. He was slided like if Devin Neil was playing,
Devin Neil would be right around twenty one to twenty two.
And I think that if you just took what he
marks out and took out Nick Chubb, that that would
be around the spot that I would put him. So
he's probably playing in that scenario on a lot of

(13:13):
my teams.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Pat, I have.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Rode Juwar Jordan in some preseason DFS lines when I'm
trying to get real nasky with it. This is not
preseason DFS though, this is with Fantasy Championship bursts on
the line. Do you trust him if there is no Woody.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
If there's no Woody and no Chobb, I do trust him,
And I'm saving a little spot here in my rankings
for him. I guess it would be right now I've
got Woody in my rankings. But if I take Woody out,
I am going to have Jordan at running back twenty four,
nestled right in between Aaron Jones and Ashton gent Es.

(13:49):
Jordan is going to be ahead of Ashton genty oh
man against the Texans. As gross as that seems, but.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Yeah, so.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
He's going to get a huge volume of work in
a really plus matchup in a game where the Texans
are favored by more than two touchdowns, and I would
expect our a a goom mil walle to get a
little bit of work on passing downs. But yeah, it's
probably going to be close to twenty touches for Jordan
and that's her.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
You know what's funny. I was looking at like, I
guess I missed a sheet obviously with everything going on
this morning, and I was going to throw out like
would you have him versus this player versus this? And
I'm looking through the sheet and basically Seth has every
running back that was probably coming to mind here. So
we're going to talk about all of them at some point.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Hey, that's that's why they pay me, right, That's that's
the job. And to appreciate you there and Jake a lot.
Like your graphic t collections, some things are never going
out of style, and that includes Darren Waller, right, the rapper,
turned back tight end. He's turned back the clock. He
scored twenty five point six Fantasy points last week in
Pittsburgh on seven reception sixty six yards. Two tuddies as well,

(14:53):
and now he gets the gold matchup right the Cincinnati Bangals.
I mean I can remember back in like twenty nineteen.
I think it was the Cardinals, like they we're such
a smash spot for tight ends. Yes, Cincinnati is I
think even a better matchup right And the only issue
though now for Darren Waller is we have rookie quarterback
quin Viewers out of Texas, our guy Scott Bogsman's favorite quarterback.

(15:13):
He's under center. So that said fits. What's your confidence
level on Darren Waller in lineups?

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Not super high because I just can't trust Quinn yours
to get Waller a touchdown catch. And that's where Darren
Waller has derived so much of his fantasy value. He
has been touchdown dependant six touchdowns in seven games. That's great,
But Waller's just not a high volume pass catcher. He's
averaging two point nine catches and thirty four point seven

(15:40):
receiving yards a game. So and I know the Bengals
are terrible against tight ends, but I've said this on
a couple of other shows, like does that really count
with Darren Waller? Is he a tight end? Because the
Dolphins sort of views him as more of a wide receiver. So,
I mean, is Great Dulsage the guy who benefits this.

(16:00):
I don't know, but I'm I'm sort of breaking ties
against Darren Waller this week because of the Quinn viewers factor.
So I'm below you see r on Waller.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Okay, Jake, I don't know if you've seen a lot
of viewers, but my brother, for whatever reason, he's a
Texas Longhorn fan despite living like forty five minutes from
state college. But so I've seen a lot of this guy,
and I kind of know what we're expecting here at
the NFL level might be a little differently. How do
you think he impacts Waller this week? And what will
waller bean lineups?

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Yeah, I mean you gonna learn. I've been doing some
stuff with fits in the all seasons for years and
Bogwin too, Like, so I am heavily into the rookies.
I do my top seventy to eighty just for the
skill sets. So I'm saying that they'll be like, ha ha,
look at me. I'm saying like I know him, and
I'm about to present something to you. Since you said
you watched a lot of them, I'm curious if you
agree my comp for him was lesser armstrength, Sam Darnold.

(16:50):
That's what I thought of Quinn yours is that without.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
So yeah, yeah, I think that's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
And my point with that is, it's not like Tua
has been great, Like everybody's like, what are you doing
jal wn watall, what are we doing with Devin h Chanin.
I'm like, knock him down one or two, maybe three spots.
It's not like two has been bawling out and Quinn yours.
Speaking of your preseason DFS lineups, Quinn, yourers flashed a
little bit in the preseason, and I'm not ready to
say he's going to take over and be the future

(17:15):
and be so much better. He might just be Tua.
But that's kind of my arguments, like if he is
just Tua who have been playing terribly, he can still
support the offense with Fits. I am actually above consensus,
not by much, but I'm slightly above consensus with Waller,
but that's because I had Waller already in front of
Travis Kelcey and Goddar and Fannin and with the change,
just because while I think Ers can support the offense,

(17:38):
there's no guarantee he's going to use Waller as much
like Youwers just might see Wattle ten times out of fifteen,
while you know he might just look to the other
pieces like Malik Washington and Westbrook, and you just don't
know where yours is going to feel comfortable turning. And
that's why I bumped down Waller about two or three
spots at tight end. He's still top ten tight end
for me, though, just because I'm willing to chase the

(18:00):
touchdown ceiling. I am just in front of like Harold
Fannin and kind of in a toss up with good Her. Okay, well,
I just I don't know that we could trust got
her in and out every single week. And sure, fourteen
targets is amazing, but fourteen targets is like still only
sixty yards in that offense.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
Yeah, And just to piggyback on something, Jake said that
that's a really interesting the comp with sort of a
weaker armed Sam Darnold. You know, part of the issue
with Donald is if you can pressure him, he turns
into a lesser quarterback. And I think that's kind of
what we saw with Quinn yours in college. And you
know they're going against the Bengals, who, although the Bengals
have been a pretty more difficult matchup for quarterbacks and

(18:39):
receivers than you might imagine. It's not really because of
their pass rush, right, And if Quinn Ewers has kept clean,
I mean he had some great games at Texas where
he was in a clean pocket for most of the
game and pick defenses apart. So maybe if the Bengals
pass rush can't get home, then I don't think anyone
really wants to start Quinn yours your Fantasy semi final,

(19:01):
but at least that would make Waddle and Waller more viable.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Well, at least Quinn youwrers might care. Right, Tua was
very happy dabbing up and chatting with Jalen Ramsey after
this loss. I think that might have honestly got him
a seat on the Pine. Today's show is brought to

Speaker 1 (20:39):
All right, guys, let's go ahead to your flag plant
players starting with you, fits, where are you heading in
this do or die week?

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Jacoby Brisset in his nine games as a starter for
the Cardinals, Jacoby Brissett is averaging forty two point eight
pass attempts, twenty eight point four completions, and three hundred
point nine passing yards a game and two touchdown passes
a game. And Brissett has had at least forty pass
attempts in all but two of those nine starts.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
He is QB four.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
In Fantasy points per game since becoming the Cardinals starter,
and QB twelve last week against the Texans. And that
defense is just nasty. And now he gets the Falcons
neutral matchup at worse and I figure the Cardinals are
probably going to be pass heavy again because they have
so many injuries at running back. I just it's a
prime spot for Jacoby Brissett and who would have thought

(21:31):
he would look like a guy you could ride confidently
into the Fantasy playoffs.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Where do you have a reason? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Qbaight qb eight? Oh why do you hate him? Are
you higher?

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Jake fift five?

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Wow? Nice? Why not?

Speaker 2 (21:48):
I mean I trust him more than Dak and Golf
and Stafford, and like I just why not?

Speaker 4 (21:53):
At this point I got to hand my flag over
to Jake. I still love it.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Scarios where he had in ran you were like Mario
jumping onto the flag and Luigi just came from behind
Jim jump opia to claim it there?

Speaker 4 (22:06):
How clear to get.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
It?

Speaker 1 (22:09):
Feels like every year we do get these quarterbacks right
that kind of just pop off late season, you can
run them to a Fantasy football championship. I remember a
couple years ago Baker Mayfield was that guy. Now seems
to be Jacoby Brissett. Jake with your flag plant player?

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Where are you going?

Speaker 1 (22:23):
And it's wonder you have to convince me into because
I was all in on this player. Last week. I
took the receiving yards prop, I laddered it up. I
thought the smash game was coming. It didn't wise it
here in week sixteen.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Because you saw it. It was starting to finally happen.
It's justin Jefferson, And I'll give you the list of
times that a wide receiver has failed to score a
touchdown against the Giants Eagles way back before this turn
of the season and Week one Deebo Samuel rushing touchdown
but no receiving touchdowns, all the way back when Week won.
The Giant secondary is vulnerable. The Giant secondary gives up touchdowns.

(22:57):
We saw how bad it was for the Commanders, and
then they also need to pass much and they still
got the one late to Terry McLaurin. But also I
go back to it is like what we saw it,
we saw it happening. Is JJ McCarthy's now put two
good games together. Arguably still last last week was his
best game, and then this past week was pretty good too,
and it was starting to connect with Jefferson that you
could argue that he should have caught the one. I
still don't think it was a great placement obviously though

(23:19):
whatever it might be in that situation, not too much
fault McCarthy on that, But there was a touchdown possibility.
There was another big play possibility. It's starting to build,
like what a surprise that a rookie needed sometime, like
the ones that were like he's the best rookie ever,
and then the other side of it, where like he's trash,
Like wow, there's a middle ground cool, like it can
be bold, it could be like he needs time to develop.
And I was still not a namor with McCarthy, but

(23:41):
I saw the report starting to build with Jefferson. He
wants it to happen, the team wants it to happen.
Jefferson wants it to happen. And going against the Giants,
I'm finally gonna have justin Jefferson pushing for the first
time I think in about five weeks, pushing the top
twenty wide receivers, which Mount signed like that's not a
flag plant, but for me, that's the highest I've had,
Like I've had him down almost at the thirty like

(24:02):
a round wide receiver twenty five, twenty seven to twenty eight,
because it hasn't been there and now is finally the
time to jump on board.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Yeah, it's a lot of ifs and ones and candies
and nuts. I think they're Jake, But.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
But I was trying to convince you. I think did
I get you kind of there.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
I've been the person on the record saying give JJ
McCarthy time. I think Justin Jefferson is someone you have
to start in your fantasy football playoffs and that the
breakout game, thirty point type of banger is coming. But fits,
I just don't know if we see it. I thought
it was last week. Like I get, it's a great
matchup here, but it's also a great match against Dallas,
and it just didn't come to fruition.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
I know, and he should have that touchdown. It went
right through there you go last week. And I mean,
Jake knows how I know. Jake is a reformed Giants fan,
former ex Jian Armer fan, but like I know, Jake
still has his finger on the pulse and he knows
how bad that that pass defense is pen And I
agree it's a really nice matchup, and I do have

(24:59):
a little bit of trepidation with just It just doesn't
seem like Jefferson is right himself. Maybe and maybe it's
just a product of frustration with the way sure things
have gone all season with the quarterback position. But I've
still got him quarterback twenty one and the questions I'm
getting start sitting questions involving Jefferson are comparing him to

(25:19):
guys like Jaden Reed and Khalil Shakier. I'm starting him
over those guys.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Okay, whide receiver twenty one where talking about mcarthy too,
because you say quarterback. I just want to clarify.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
Oh sorry, I'll wide receiver twenty one.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
For jeff Okay, yeah, I was just I was curious,
if you're pulling McCarthy into the conversation, would you go
Terry against the Eagles or would you go Jefferson against
the Giants.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
I've got Terry rank like two spots higher.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
I think we might do.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
We have that debate coming up later. Should we bottle that?
Let's stick a cork in that for a now?

Speaker 2 (25:44):
No, yeah, oh there's another one, yes, Terry McLaurin versus
somebody else later there you go.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Okay, but for me, that would be McLaurin by a
very slim margin over what.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
About apparently apparently every time, like Steth, I will make
sure like that we don't have a dog sickness in
the future. And I read through your entire sheet, because
every player that comes to mind is sheet. I think
I would actually, like I initially when I did my
rankings had McLaurin in front of Jefferson. But it's so
close that if my projections, which I do on Thursdays,
if it spits it out the opposite direction, I'll flip it.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
Yeah, it is close for sure.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
So Jake, you're telling me I should bet that Justin
Jefferson over receiving yards prop again, because I usually that's
how it goes. I get burned by it.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (26:24):
I'll go back to him. I know last week, I
think I bet at fifty one and a half. I'm
not sure what it opened up at this week, but.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
If you can get it under sixty, I would take over.
That's like I would.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
I want to chase the touchdown. Like if it wasn't
for the fact that was untight end this week, Justin
Jefferson would have been my touchdown call too.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Plus one thirty five right now for a touchdown receipt,
they're still one and a half.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Yeah, the yards I'm with fits on the yards that's
that's not even that great in the touch that's still
just acknowledging he's Justin Jefferson, Like, stop right.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
And no worries Jake on the sheet. I was actually
a little late getting to it. I fell asleep in
the recliner late last night. I still had a zin
in the upper Deckye like that, That's where I was.
That's kind of I think where we are as a
testament to the season. Just continue to kind of grind
and get through this slog that is the fancy football playoffs.
A gentleman, though, let's go ahead and let's move forward

(27:14):
with our start sit debates. I want to start at
the running back position. Aaron Jones of the Minnesota Vikings
Ashton Genty of the Raiders. Frankly, I can't believe we
are having this conversation. I was so high on Ashton
Genty and he feels broken right now, right after totally
just eighty yards in the last two games without Chip
Kelly the offensive corner. It seems like that actually might

(27:35):
have helped him having Chip out there. And it's also
unknown whether it's gonna be Gino Smith or Kenny Pickett
under center for the Raiders when they traveled to Houston.
He's ECR RB twenty six, Aaron Jones. Meanwhile, he slots
in at RB twenty two. He's delivered four straight single
digit performances. But he does have a really strong matchup
against your New York Giants, Jake. So where are you
going between Jones and Genty?

Speaker 2 (27:56):
So this is how they get me. It's because I'm
not the Giants and I haven't been the Giants since
the second year of Daniel Jones. Is that everybody everything
like I have. JJ McCarthy is one of my favorite.
If you lost my home quarterbacks, I have Aaron Jones
in front of Genty and going against that Giants run defense,
which is also miserable. I love Justin Jefferson. So this
is what happened. They're gonna win twenty eight to three,
also ruin their draft pick at the same time, and

(28:17):
this is because this is what happened to the Giants do.
But no, this really comes down to, Yes, I know
Jones has been more consistent than valuable in fantasy, but
their run defense for the Giants, especially getting into space,
has just been abysmal. Is basically as soon as you
could get past that offense, or get past the offensive
line slash defensive line and get into space. It's really
about their secondary too. I mean they've just picked up

(28:38):
a practice squad linebacker because of how thin they are
in that area of the team. So I have Jones there,
like I would consider moving genty up a spot or two.
I have them at twenty five right now. If it
is Gino Smith over Kenny Pickett, which, by the way,
one of the ten worst yards per attempt performances in
the last twenty year twenty five years since the turn
of the century, it was one of the ten worst
yards per attempt? Is so bull down there with names

(29:01):
that Tavaris Jackson, people you don't want to be named with.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
So I would feel better on that list.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
No, surprisingly, actually, real quick, well we need to move
on from this. But do you want to guess the
worst performance in the last twenty five years? Just I'm
purely yards per attempt it.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I'll give you an idea.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Here's a big hint. He has a brother who played
quarterback and he's a Hall of Famer.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Is it is it Derek Carr? Oh wait wait wait
wait wait no? Yeah, is it Eli Manning?

Speaker 2 (29:32):
It's the other Peyton Manning one point eight yards per
attempt in that final season in twenty fifteen. In one
of those games, Cooper rush two point zero. Chris Winki
two point two, Brandon Allen two point threo, Like that's
how bad these are the other names, and yet Peyton
Manning in that worst season, that last season. But anyway,
Aaron Jones, you have a few spots, But I would
move genty up a few.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
I would.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
I would almost have it as a coin flip with
genty if Gino was back at quarterback.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
Okay, Pat Jones or genty for you, Yeah, I've got
Jones ranked higher entirely matchup based. I would rather have
a timeshare back against a bad run defense than a
workhorse in an offense that just generated seventy five yards
of offense in a single game against the Eagles last
week and now goes against in even better defense in
the Houston Texans.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Okay, fair enough, Let's get to another running back debate
where I've got a bone to pick with this one.
Tony Pollard of the Tennessee Titans versus Kenneth Gainwell. Pollard,
he has looked really spry over the past two weeks.
I don't know what has happened. He's total two hundred
and sixty five rushing yards three total touchdowns in that span.
He has slotted in right now as the RB twenty
seven in ECR. He's going up against the Patrick Mahomes

(30:38):
list Chiefs in Nashville, and then Kenneth Gainwell. This guy's
been the RB six over the past five weeks, and
it's like nobody in the world cares he is still
somehow listed at RB thirty. He's really like the number
one option in the Steelers passing game. That's what we're
looking at right now they're traveling to Detroit. I think
game script plays into that fact that Kenneth Gainwell could
have six to seven receptions. Again, Pat do you have

(31:00):
and he read here on Pollard and Gainwell and why
the overall rankers just seen down on the Steelers RB two.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Yeah, I mean the only thing I know Gainwell has
been catching a lot of passes lately. Sethan, Maybe he
does that against the Lions, but he has had three
or fewer catches in half his games this year, so
and if he doesn't have more than three catches against
the Lions, he's probably not going to have a very
good fantasy day because the Lions are so tough against

(31:26):
the run, and Gainwall has had fewer than ten carries
in eleven of his fourteen games, so there's not a
steady floor of rushing game usage, and if he doesn't
have a big day as a pass catcher, then he's
probably gonna brick for you. And so I actually have
Pollard ranked two spots higher. I don't know why it's working,

(31:47):
but the Titans running game is suddenly working. Pollard has
had two straight hundred yard rushing games, three touchdown runs
in those two games, and he's averaging six point eight
yards per carry over the last two weeks. And it's
not like he has a terrible run game matchup this week.
So I'm Andrew Erickson mentioned on a show yesterday he

(32:09):
thinks there are some incentives in Pollard's contract that maybe
have him all fired up. I'm gonna check on what
those incentives are. But for whatever reason, Tony Pollard is
suddenly coming to life in the last couple of weeks here,
and I'm kind of buying it.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
This is like your friend who he like, you know,
flunks the semester totally in like finals are coming up
and he's like, I gotta get one hundred percent on
this final to get my to get my grade in past.
That's what Tony Pollard's doing, right.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Collard's doing it somehow.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
He's like, you know, stop, you know, quit quit drinking
and crazy.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
He's out there. He's being a model student for the
last week or so of the season, Jake, where are
you at here? On Tony P versus Kenny G.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
So the bonus is, surprisingly enough, two hundred and fifty
thousand if he gets eleven hundred rushing yards. He's at
eight four seven with three games to go. I don't know.
I mean, that's like, what does he need two fifty
two fifty three to get there?

Speaker 3 (33:09):
He might.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
And then here's the more interesting one, another two hundred
thousand if he scores seven rushing touchdowns. He already has five.
So maybe, like you said, maybe like he's just like,
oh crap, I've got to pass this class and manly
get my crap together. On top of it, Tajay Spears
hasn't been impressive. I get the game will thing. You
just brought it up. A lot of it's been the
pass catching. I don't know if this was also because

(33:30):
I'm like if part of me wants to dig my
heels in after last week where Fitz and I both
agreed going against the Lions, and then of course score
touchdowns all day long on the run game against the Lions,
because that's what we bring up. But it's still the Lions,
and I still feel that a split backfield what's turned
into Now we're going back to Bell cow Tony Pollard
and Bell cow Tony Poller has never been super inspiring,

(33:51):
but he's been a fringe RB two is always what
I said is he's still a low end RB two
is why I didn't want Pollard, but I was still
as a low NRB two have him just in front
of game well, so I actually agree with Fits on
this one as well.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
I wonder if Tony made like a promise to his wife,
like get her something really nice for Christmas.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Or like they have a trip to the ball that almost.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Yeah, exactly, guys. Before we keep it moving, just a

a platform I've actually used for a couple of years now.
Always love getting invested over there in the playoffs. So
very happy that they came on board for us the
rest of the way here, let's get to the wide
receiver debate, starting with Ladd McConkey of the Chargers, a
Mecca Book of Tampa Bay Lad. He's failed to reach
double digit Fantasy points in three of his last four games,
but does get what should be a great match against

(35:59):
the Dallas Cowboys. Puts him at ECR RB or wide
receiver twenty three excuse me, and then a Mecca Buca
he cut off to maybe the hottest start of the season.
He's now wide receiver forty seven since Week six on
a points per game basis. Mike Evans back, Chris Godwin back,
both getting fully healthy for this till against the Caroline Panthers,
leaving Abuca at ECR Wide Receiver thirty fits. Where do

(36:22):
you stand here on Ladd McConkie versus a Mecca.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
Yeah, it's Lad, and the matchup is sort of a
big reason why Because Ladd has had eighty four receiving
yards over his last four games, and uh, you know,
twenty one yards a game, two point five catches a
game over the last month, and it's a big part
of it is because the Chargers offensive line is having
such a hard time protecting Justin Herbert. So Ladd is

(36:45):
wide receiver seventy in PPR Fantasy scoring over his last
four games. But Evans is back. Mike Evans back for
the Buccaneers, and last week was just the second time
since Week five that a Mecca ATBUKA has had double
ditch PPR points and he just barely got there with
ten point four. And the Panthers have been a slightly
tougher than average matchup against wide receivers. I think they've

(37:08):
allowed something like the tenth fewest PPR points. So I'm
going lad here and hoping he can cash in on
a pretty good matchup.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Okay, what about you, Jake, Yeah, this one's close, but
I'm actually going the other way. And I'm not going
to say that Fits is crazy at all by this one,
but I'm just looking at Justin Herbert and that even
before this injury, he has one one single game since
Week six that he's thrown over thirty times, and that
was the only other game that he even completed twenty passes.
Everything else was fewer than twenty completions, and the last

(37:39):
three games since the buye with the injury factored in
averaging one hundred and sixty seven passing yards per game
one hundred and sixty seven. And I'm not saying the
matchup's great. I have them super close. So they'll make
that clear. Is I still have him inside the twenties.
But simpto similar to what I was bringing up about
Jefferson is what we saw for mcgbuka just watching that
game is Baker was back to kind of Baker with

(38:00):
everybody being back, Evans included, and Evans was like one
hundred percent. But it was kind of the speculation that
Fits and I talked about last week, and like a
lot of people had been speculating out is that since
losing Mike Evans, Ubuka wasn't Abuka. Abuka was struggling to
be the number one outside and that's when Godwin came
back didn't help him so much because he was still
struggling with what What he was struggling with is being

(38:22):
kind of like and Kwan Bolden when he was asked
to be the one instead of having somebody of his
equitable talent across from him, and you saw that he
went from being a really nice wide receiver too, that
being Bolden and Abuka to these wide receiver ones that
can put up numbers with the ones across from them.
So I'm basing a lot off that one game. But
I like how Baker looked, I like how Evans look
and I have my faith restored in Ubuka, who's another

(38:43):
one similar to Jefferson that I wasn't even ranking inside
the top thirty for a couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
There.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
It's super close, but I'm going to give a Buka
the edge despite the matchup that I agree with fits on.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Okay, we have another wide receiver debate to settle. Michael
Pittman Junior of the Colts against DJ Moore of the
Chicago Bears. Uncle Phil. He almost got it done against
the Seahawks last week, but Michael Pittman Junior really did
not deliver in that performance, just five point six fantasy points.
He does have a better matchup in Week sixteen against
the forty nine ers currently ECR wide receiver twenty six.

(39:15):
Dj Moore meanwhile, He's delivered two wide receiver one finishes
in the past month, but also has had some real
stinkers in there, right wide receiver sixty eight, Wide receiver
ninety nine. Those multi score games reward is boosting DJ
Moore as well. Romo Duonday Luther burn the Third both
missed practice on Wednesday ahead this rematch against your Green
Bay Packers fit. So where do you stand on More

(39:37):
and Michael Pittman?

Speaker 4 (39:39):
Yeah, I have more ranked one spot higher, and that
gap is going to widen Ifluthor Burden can't go for
the Bears, because I've still got Burden in my rankings. Yeah, Pittman,
three catches for twenty six yards last week. I just
don't really want to invest in the Colts passing game.
And I know it's been up and down for DJ Moore,
but you figure he would have to get half a

(39:59):
dozen targets at minimum this week if Burden and Odonsay
don't play.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Okay, what about you, Jake?

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Yeah, it's fun. I actually have a six spot gap
with Burden in the ranks, but Noah Doingsay, so it'll
even widen more for More. Of course, this wonderful that
not everybody got to update their ranks last week. I'm
not saying for Fantasy Present, saying because of the Bears
is like, oh, by the way, twelve fifty six from
Doday's not playing and we're all in a full scramble

(40:26):
fest over here. Thanks a lot, but you saw. The
fact is what we know is that once you get
down to two options, and it might be one, as
Fitch just brought up, it might be DJ Moore and
Zakias with Colston Lovelin, and that situation happens. We are
talking Coulston Lovelan. So I'll save that one for later.
But DJ Moore is already pushing. He's inside my top thirty.
He's pushing my top twenty five, like so much so

(40:48):
that the fact that there is no burden DJ Moore
would be in front of Buka. I think that the
gap needs to be bigger because even the Tyler Warren
part where the process was right, he was the most
targeted player by Philip Rivers, but six catches for three
in nineteen yards. I mean, we all we saw it.
We saw what's left the Philip Rivers and it's not much.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Yeah, I am with you there, it was. It was
just cool to see him out there though, right, Like
it really was like the story of the weekend.

Speaker 2 (41:14):
It was cool, but it's a warning not to never
do this again.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
Hey, if big Ben wants to come back in the
future and play for the Steelers, I'm here for listen.
I'll I'll take it for the nostalgia.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Like I've already gotten Rivers looked thick thick.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
Ben actually's thinned down a little bit from what I've
had out on the streets. Yeah, yeah, he's been, uh,
he's been, you know, cutting back. The IPA's going back
with some old domestic piers is what I hear. So
looking forward to hopefully that also, are you looking in
for my Canton reservations for the Pro Football Hall of
Fame inauguration with big Ben? Really really hope he gets

for the rapid fire debates. We have Omarion Hampton coming
in first ECR twenty four at Dallas against Rico Dalla,

(42:35):
who's really kind of falling off a cliff a little bit.
ECR RB twenty three against Tampa Bay, Jake Hampton, Dowdell.
Who do you got?

Speaker 2 (42:42):
I have Dowdle one spot in front of Hampton as
of today. But if we have the situation where Queen
and Williams is out, Hampton will leapfrog Dowdle. And that's
really what it comes down to, because the Cowboys matchup
is not favorable since they made those trade deadline moves,
and it's not quite as bad as Tampa Bay, but
it's right and it's enough that I will flip them
if Williams is out.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
Pat what about you?

Speaker 3 (43:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (43:04):
I like Hampton a little more He's had twenty eight
carries and three catches in his first two games back,
and yes he is sharing work with Kamani Videll, but
Hampton has gotten a touch on sixty six percent of
his offensive snaps in his first two games back.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
And they just have to run the ball.

Speaker 4 (43:19):
They have to because the Chargers offensive line can't protect
Herbert's and that should be easier against Dallas if Quinn
Williams is out. As Jake mentioned, so Rico has been
sharing more work with Chewba Hubbard. Rico's averaged three point
two yards per carry over his last five games, and
you know, other than the Rams, he really hasn't faced
the top run defense over that stretch, so it's not

(43:40):
like all matchup based that he's been this much less efficient.
So in this week he's going against the Buccaneers, who
one thing, they usually do pretty well on defense under
Todd Bowles and they're not doing much well these days,
but they are usually pretty tough against the run.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
Okay, let's go to wide receiver. Terry McLaurin East, your
wide receiver, I think twenty one right now against Philly,
and then Jalen Wattle e cr wide receiver thirteen against
Cincinnati Pat How do you sort between McLaurin and Waddle.

Speaker 4 (44:10):
You know it's not an easy matchup for McLaurin, but
I'm going to go with him over Waddle. Who. Not
only am I worried about Quinn Ewers, I'm worried about
Wattle's matchup with DJ Turner, like who has very quietly
been the bengals best defender this year and it's shot
down some pretty good wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Okay, what about you, Jake slightly in the other way,
and I think that, Yeah, look, I think both being
top twenty twenty two at worse, you probably want them
both in your lineup. I think my bigger thing is that,
not that I disagree with at all with Fitts say
that I thought about the Turner thing, and that kind
of gave me more.

Speaker 4 (44:44):
I'll put it.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
It gave me more pause than the youwer situation. I
think Youwers can do fine. I go back to the
whole too of thing and if you want yours and
he's lesser arms Sam Darnold, as we talked about when
we brought this up, well, where do you go with
Wattle over the middle of the field and take advantage
of throwing them open, which hopefully that I you know
yours can do as you've seen the flashes of I'm
talking about in college obviously because we haven't seen in
the NFL much. But I give I give Waddle the

(45:06):
slight edge just because the clear one going against the
Eagles for the clear one of the McLaurin, I just
did the Eagles. Maybe I'm overrating the Eagles matchup, but
they just they just worry me this time of year with.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
Some flex some flex debates for you guys, Brian Thomas
junior ECR wide receiver twenty eight at Denver and then
DeAndre Swift e CR RB seventeen against the Packers. Fits
you have some investment in this game, how do you
sort out Swift and BTJ?

Speaker 4 (45:35):
Swift by a wide margin for me in this one
seth just because the Bears have been fantastic at running
the ball over the last two months. I think they're
you can make a case that their offensive line has
been like the best run blocking offensive line in the
league for most of this season. It's probably either them
or the Rams, and I just they're gonna be run heavy.

(45:56):
I think with some of the injury problems they're having
at wide recis and they've been run heavy anyway over
the last month or so. So I think it's rather
than you know, go with BTJ, who's been streaky this
year and has this tough matchup against the Broncos. I'm
gonna ride with Swift.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
What about you, Jake.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
Yeah, So last week, Fist knows this. I brought up
the fact that Swift is one of the best at
not getting stuffed and not to worry about the Browns matchup,
and we were locked in on that one. And I'm
going right back with Swift again. It's not the better
matchup than it was last week, and it's even better without,
you know, the injury of Michael Parsons. But I love
Brian Thomas and I had him pushing my top twenty

(46:33):
last week as in he looks one hundred percent. That
was another conversation we had last week. But he's facing
the Broncos and you just have to take that with
a little bit of like, hey, you know what, that
matters enough that even if like I'm with Fits, it's
actually a bigger gap than it might sound like I'm saying.
It's by about I'd say about twenty players purely at
flex alone, so almost wow. Yeah, I'm on swift and

(46:54):
you know, if it was last week, a big tighter,
but this week with the Broncos factored in, I want
to get Thomas on my lineup, but I I could
see you having better options.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Okay at the flex position as well as Jay Flowers
e CR Wide Receiver nineteen against the Patriots or Quinn
Shawn Judkins e CR RB eighteen against a Buffalo Jake.
Do you have a lean between these two AFC North players.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
Yeah, recuse myself from ever wanting to rank Zay Flowers
like I just I don't have like Zay Flowers is
just always going to be wrong. And that's kind of
the joke that I made a few weeks ago because
that's obviously Worm's boy. Well not really, it's from his team.
He complains about as much as anybody, and we've talked
about he doesn't score touchdowns, doesn't score touchdowns. What do
he did that one week scored a touchdown? Because that's
what exactly happens. Zay Flowers. Ranking him as wide receiver

(47:38):
twenty is always wrong. That's it's either ten spots too
low or it's twenty spots too high. But I'm going
with Judkins in this one. Just it's by a slide
of you know, the Buffalo run defense still hasn't been good.
And the good thing about Judkins and Sanders taking over,
you've seen a little bit more of the pass catching
opportunities out of the backfield. Is just what we like
to say. You still want worry. We've seen him pulled
off the field at times, but if they can keep

(48:00):
close somehow in this game, Judkins slightly, which just means
a Flowers is going to have one hundred and ten
yards in a touchdown. So just just mark it down
right now, just bet the over.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Okay, Pat, do you want Lamar Jackson's wide receiver one
or the RB one in the Cleveland backfield along the
shores of Lake Erie.

Speaker 4 (48:17):
Well, since Jake just ensured the Flowers is going to
go for one hundred yards, I got to take Flowers.
And you know, I mean, for all the grumbling that
Ryan Wormley and other people have done about say Flowers
because he hasn't scored touchdowns, the dude is averaging five
point one catches in sixty eight and a half receiving
yards a game. YEA and yeah, he's had more than
sixty receiving yards in ten of his fourteen games, so

(48:39):
the floor has actually been pretty sturdy with him. And meanwhile,
Judkins over his last nine games, he's averaging three point
one yards per carry. And right now, basically all of
the Browns offensive linemen are dealing with injuries and they're
either going to play hurt or not play this week.
So Judkins has scored two touchdowns in his last seven games,
and they both came in the same game, so you're

(49:01):
not really getting touchdown value out of him either. I'll
take Flowers here, all right?

Speaker 2 (49:05):
How about how fine? I'll go Flowers too, just to
screw it all up.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
Okay, all right, all right, Jake's on board, so get
off the ship. Let's go to Breecee Hall e CR
RB twenty one at the Saints or Jacobe Myers has
been really nice since coming over to Jacksonville e CR
Wide Receiver twenty two at Denver, though, Pitt Pat, how
do you split the difference here? Hall Myers?

Speaker 3 (49:27):
Oh man?

Speaker 4 (49:29):
Even though Myers is maybe going to be affected less
by this tough matchup against the Broncos because he's he's
a slot guy. And probably isn't going to see a
lot of Patrick's ertin junior. Not that he's the only
good covering guy the Broncos have, but I'm just I'm
gonna I think this is close to a toss up,
and I am going to invoke the Bob Harris law
of flex decisions and go with the running back over

(49:51):
the wide receiver and go with Breece Hall.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
All right, shout out Bob Harris. What about you, Jake?

Speaker 3 (49:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Actually, I thought FI was gonna go the same way
with argument they just made for Judkins, because if you
look at Breis Hole's last four games two point eight,
three point six, three point one, one point nine yards
per carry, that offense has been miserable. That being said,
I was my answer if you went to me first,
was basically begun. It's contingent on Tyrod Taylor. I want
to actually go Jacoby Myers if it's Brady Cook, and

(50:19):
if not, I would flip to Breis Hall easily, easily.
If it's Tyrod Taylor. It's just how bad this offense
has looked with Brady Cook, and Brady Cook's running on
his own. It's just he's also throwing interceptions and not
making this offense move very well. So even though it's
against the Saints, I'll give the slight edge to Jacoby
unless Tyrod's at quarterback.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
Okay, And how about Courtland Sun e cr wide receiver
eighteen against Jacksonville or Tyrone Tracy e CR. I believe
he's coming in RB twenty six right now against the
Minnesota Vikings. Jake any lean between your New York Giants
running back or.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
New York Giants, how long I do? Like so this
is I see, this is say how I missed? That
was me on Tyrone Trace last week? I just I
was legit worried that every single week it has been
like split split, split split and not knowing which way
the lean's gonna go in the game right before they're
by it was eleven eleven touch wise before Tracy left
the game. And then you come back after the buy
and like, hey, you know, maybe that's gonna be more

(51:16):
of what we saw. And they heavily leaned on Tyrone Tracy.
The one area they still don't. It happened like one
game is they went to Singletary again inside the ten
yard line and inside the five. So that's always a threat.
But I mean we have that threat with other running backs.
We've had that threat with DeAndre Swift for a while now,
with Kyle Manong guys. So I'm gonna go with Tyrone Tracy.
I have him in front of Judkins, I have him
in front of Hull, I have him in front of

(51:38):
Aaron Jones, So like you can go down the list.
I know the Vikings matchup is problems. Floriesa's defense was basically,
don't play them, don't play against him, don't playgainst him.
And then that we had that dit where it's like, oh,
what happened to the defense? Everybody's figured it out and
he's adjusted back, and now all of a sudden, it's
like they're coming for everybody. We just saw what happened
with the Cowboys. So I know that's worrisome, but I'm
still gonna give Tracy the slight edge here.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
Yeah, I agree about that defense. I'm on the Giants
or the Minnesota Vikings against the Giants at two and
a half points this week, Pat, how do you see
this one shaking out between Sutton and Tracy.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
I'm with Jake and having Tracy over Sutton, and I
am with Jake and having Whift on Tracy last week
because of the way things had gone in that backfield,
and Tracy played seventy six point five percent of the
offensive snaps last week against the Commanders. Maybe it's not
like that again, maybe it's it's more of a fifty
to fifty with Devin Singletary. But I think we can

(52:30):
lean into the matchup. Not because the Vikings have a
terrible run defense, but they are the biggest run funnel
in the league. They've faced the most rushing attempts by
opposing running backs twenty six point six running back carries
a game against the Vikings, who, by the way, have
not given up a touchdown pass since November ninth, So

(52:51):
the Vikings have been ridiculously hard to throw on.

Speaker 3 (52:54):
Lately.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
Brian Flores has been totally in his bag, dialing up
some nasty stuff for quarterbacks. I think the Giants are
probably going to try to run to protect their asset
with Jackson Dart and keep him from getting killed.

Speaker 2 (53:06):
Well and get killed.

Speaker 4 (53:08):
He might do that anyway, because that seems to be
his inclination. And it's just Courtland Sutton. I know he's
been hot. He started fast this season, like three or
four games in he was going great guns then he
really cooled off for a while. Now he's getting hot again.
But I just kind of want to be even keel
with how I regard him, and right now I think
Tracy is slightly more appealing to me.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
Okay, Yeah, it feels like the Vikings right now, like
they're really getting out in front of teams fast and
then just playing great defense and pinning back their ears.
And you know, that's kind of been the struggle right
for the Giants. Right They've been behind early, I think
down ten zero going to the second quarter last two weeks,
So definitely want to see that improved potentially. But for

(53:50):
game script wise, Tyrone Tracy, I think he's fine either
way because he can get those dump offfs. Let's go
to quarterback here, Brock Purty ECR quarterback four at Indianapolis
Jared Goff R QB nine against Pittsburgh Pat. A lot
of people had mahomes that they need a potential replacement.
Do you like Purdy or Jared Goff in that situation?

Speaker 4 (54:09):
Right now, I've got Purty rank QB five and Golf
QB six. It's clossened off that if so, Shervarius Ward
is going to be out for the Colts. They're number
two cornerback. He's on IR. But Sace Gardner I think
is considered questionable. If Sauce comes back and plays against
the forty nine ers, I would flip golf ahead of

(54:30):
Brock Purty. But it's that close for me, pretty close
to being a coin flip.

Speaker 2 (54:36):
Seely, I'm actually going golf. I got a lot of
questions about this. Why am I so down on party
And it really just comes down to, like, I just
don't think the forty nine ers need Purty, especially in
this game. And if you look over his last couple
hasn't been throwing a ton. It's three touchdowns, one touchdown,
one touchdown, three touchdowns. Of course he can get the
three and it's not a worrisome so much matchup. But
I mean, I go back to golf and since the

(54:57):
buy fifteen was kind of a but then right after that,
what was that thing? Oh yeah, Dan Campbell took over
five seventeen, nine to nine, fourteen to five. He has
two non top ten performances. They're back to throwing even
while they're up. It's a matchup. We're not worried about
what you do against Pittsburgh. You throw the ball at
home at even better, So I have him super close.
Like I'm not saying that fits is crazy, and like

(55:19):
even if he holds with his ranking in front of Perty,
I'm not like, oh my god, you're stupid. It's just
I have a lot of faith in golf right now
and just what they're doing more so that they're going
to have him passed no matter what, whereas party just
might fall into I don't need to do anything more
than throw a one touchdown.

Speaker 4 (55:34):
That's a good point, all.

Speaker 1 (55:35):
Right, Let's get to tight ends. Dalton Schultz ECR tight
end nine against the Las Vegas Raider or Colston Loveland
ECR tight end fourteen against Green Bay. Jake, you're not biased,
I know when it comes to Bears Packers. So who
do you have at tight end?

Speaker 2 (55:48):
I'm not, but I am biased in the situation that
I mentioned earlier, as I already don't have Adunza in,
and that's Loveland at ten and Schultz at eleveland at
leveland eleven, and then if they're there is no burden
on top of that. Heck, I might consider Loveland over
like a Goddart type. I don't know how much further
I can get on this, but it really just comes
down to the fact that Love is in the opportunity

(56:09):
that we saw earlier this year where he had those
about two game stretches, Like there's very few people involved.
Loveland stock up comets a little bit banged up, sounds
like he should be okay though, But it really just
comes down to the avoid at wide receiver and going
against Green Bay in a game that I feel like
they really want to go out there and win. Obviously,
Schultz has just been consistent. I would say consistency is
Schultz game. So if you're worried about Loveland leaving your hanging, yep,

(56:31):
I would go Schultz, But I have lovel in one
spot in front of them.

Speaker 1 (56:34):
Yeah, Fitz, this is certainly a floor versus ceiling conversation.
How do you dice it up?

Speaker 4 (56:39):
Similar to Jake, it's kind of dependent on the status
of Luther Burden. As of now, it's Schultz for me,
and Schultz is very quietly now up to seventy catches
on the season. Yeah, and he's had eight or more
targets in all about two of his last seven games,
so he's actually been a pretty big part of the
Texans passing attack. But if Luther Burton has ruled out

(57:01):
for the Bears and he didn't practice on Wednesday because
of this ankle injury, then I might end up having
Loveland ranked right next to Schultz, either like one spot
high or one spot lower.

Speaker 1 (57:10):

right in here. Fitz, who is your running back TD
call of the week?

Speaker 4 (57:49):
Yeah, Bucky Irving. And I know Bucky gets pulled at
the goal line, which is frustrating, so he's just gonna
have to score from you know, outside the ten yard
line this week, and he's gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
Okay, I'm taking all of may day All. I can
never say this guy's name, all of meed all a Meediate.
There we go is the Keys wide receiver at Chicago Bears.
I literally watched a three minutes to tour this morning.
Had to say this guy's name. Still can't get it,
but I love the odds right plus thirty sixties the Keys.
He's played over seventy nine to the Snaps and back

(58:18):
to back weeks no roam in those weeks. We also
saw one red zone target in both those games. Now,
Luther Burden banged up. As we were talking about earlier,
the Lions of A lowed the second most touchdowns two
opposing wider's hears over the past month with slot receivers,
including Zakias himself in Week fourteen finding Peter and back
back games. Give me a little long shot on Ola

(58:39):
made z A Kiyas. Hopefully I got that one right
that time. Jake, where are you going at the tight
end position?

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Yeah, that's like Okubo num. Let's just say like that's
the like. But when I looked at his name, I
could never say like I knew it, But then you
look at his name and your brain just breaks because
it looks nothing like that. Uh, speaking of tight ends yet,
and that's where we're at. I gotta get off the schneid,
by the way, I think I was. I started like
seven to eight on the year, and I think I've
got one since I've been on a little bit of

(59:04):
a yeah, downturn here, which might be why I'm going
somewhere where people might be thinking of is Travis Kelcey
at tight end? Because mostly like Gardner Minshew's not terrible.
It's like I don't want to play blank. I don't
want to play blank. I don't want to play all
these guys. For the Chiefs, it was like they're not
turning to Max Brosmer, They're turning to Gardner Minshew, Martniner.
Minshew's gonna be aggressive, he's gonna throw. If you look

(59:25):
at the Titans, I had this pulled up. So the
last three games touchdown to Strange, touchdown to Fano and
in Djoko touchdown to Kittle. Those are bigger names, obviously,
but those are bigger names similar in the facet of
Travis kelce who also might be playing without Rashi Rice.
I think the only concern here for Travis Kelcey might
just be if the Chiefs completely check out and pull
them off the field, because I feel like this could

(59:45):
be one of those vintage Kelsey seven eight receptions, one
hundred yards and a touchdown just because they're hurting so
bad for options right now?

Speaker 3 (59:53):
Yeah, I like it, man.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
I'm on the Gardner Minshew over passing yards this week.
I actually have Travis Kelcey already bet at the any
time touch number as well, so I like where your
head's at. Jake. A quick reminder as we get out
