Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at Advocates Law dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Byron is on the phone today for a first date
follow up and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Sonny.
So in a few minutes we'll call her and see
if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe
get him a second date. But first, Byron, how long
has it been since he talked to Sonny?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Hey, yeah, it's been about five or six days. I
think going on a week.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Okay, are you nervous?

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Well, I'm a little.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Nervous because just because I want it to work obviously,
and it's unideal to not get a text back.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
But I think he'll work out.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Well, okay, Okay, I like the positive attitude. Yeah, I
like it.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Yeah, I don't know so well, I can't. I can
go into it, or we could call her. I mean,
what do you want to do?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
What's well, let's go into it when you tell us
about the date.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Okay, Well, we went ice skating. It was amazing.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yes, we went to the Uhtown indoor skating rink inside
of a massive rec center.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
It was it was awesome. There was like couple skating
teens doing.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
The spins like a couple kids with their hockey skates
on learning how to do like the cheesy pop.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Music, the whole thing. Like it was a great environment.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
And I know, I don't know how to ice skate
at all, so I suggested it because I thought it'd
be fun, like we both go make a fool of
ourselves and like that it would be cute, you know
what I mean, we'd bond over the lack of ability there.
I didn't know that she knew how to ice skate.
So we show up and we get on the ice,

(01:38):
and all of a sudden, she is like this ice
skating extraordinair. She's like doing skating backwards, like she's doing
the crossovers. Like it was it was actually kind of hot,
Like it was so very it was very nice. And
then like every time I would wobble or something or
like kind of fall, she would like smile and kind

(01:59):
of make fun of me a little bit, but like
it made me feel cute.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
So it was going really well.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
She was wearing, what, that's amazing every time you fell.
I think that's so funny. I love it.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
I I mean, if there was love at first sight,
it might be this.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
I don't know. She was.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
She was dressed gorgeously, like big hoop earrings, natural curls,
her skin immaculate, like she just walked out of a commercial.
This girl, This is the part that confuses me, Like
an older woman. Once I was wobbling on the wall
and she was. She was with men, and an older
lady skated by. She just yelled out like you can't

(02:37):
teach confidence or something like that, and then Sony started laughing.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
I guess because I don't know she thought I was.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
And then at that point she like skated off for
a couple of apps and kind of like, you know,
I was trying to make my way back to the
bench to sit down, and I think, like it was
fun in games, but maybe I think the older woman
kind of clue her in to that, like the fact
that I was a loser or something.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
And to be a loser.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
And that's all you can think of is maybe the
old lady told you and she took it to heart
your date, Sonny.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, maybe, because I don't now, I'm stuck here thinking
that you know, she takes I'm an athletic and like
I'm a loser, and yeah, I mean that's the only
thing I can think of, because it was going well
until that lady, and then now you know, you're right,

(03:34):
I know, so I don't. I thought the chemistry was
real and then that happened. But you know, I just
now I'm looking for an opportunity to tell her like, hey,
I'm not unathletic week and not manly enough.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
You know, I can hag.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Who plays on comeback and then call her and see
if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe
get you second date, even if we have to convince
her that your.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Man though.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
I am, I started, god, I am.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
I can tell her we'll get your first day follow
up next.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Right in the middle of your first day follow up,
if you're just joining us, Byron is on the phone
and Byron is getting ghosted to buy a woman named Sonny.
So we're about to call her and see if she'll
tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him
a second date. But first, Byron, why don't you break
down your date again for us real quick?

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Yeah, So I met this beautiful woman named Sonny. We
went ice skating. It was such a cute time. I
found it'd be fun because we'd learned how to skate together.
Long story short, she's an expert skater and I'm not.
And on the date, I think old lady kind of
blocked me a little bit. And here we are, so
she made fun of me. Then Sonny started making fun

(04:47):
of me.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I want to so terrible this old lady said, an
innocent skater.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
We'll see if the old lady ruined your game or not.
Are you ready for us to call her?

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Yes? Please?

Speaker 1 (04:59):
That's the all right? Here we go.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Hello, Hi, man, speak to Sonny. Please, Hey, Sonny, how
are you? This is a radio show. It's called The
Jewbell Show.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Hi, Sonny. I'm Nina. I am Victorian and I'm Freezing,
the producer, and my name is Jewbell.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
How are you okay? I'm okay.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Not much? Have you ever listened to the show before?

Speaker 5 (05:32):
I have?

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Oh? Well, you might be excited to know that this
is the first date follow up. You went on a
date with somebody recently and now you're ghosting them. And
they emailed us to see if we can find out why.
Any idea who emails about you?

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Sonny?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
This is gonna happen today.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Oh, my gosh, Well, who you ghosting girl?

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Byron?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yes it is Byron. Byron emailed us tell us a
little bit about your date. He liked you a lot,
but he's confused while you're ghosting him.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Can you tell us?

Speaker 5 (06:07):
Okay, it's awkward. I really don't want I don't want
to say this on the radio. He's really sweet.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
It's awkward for you or him.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Well, I'm afraid it's going to be awkward for him.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Well, anybody who does these they know that they have
to be prepared to hear anything. So he knows. You
know that we're going to be honest with him. So okay,
I just wants to know why you're ghosting.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Well, okay, I'm just going to say it. It was
the singing.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
The singing, didn't you guys go Ice s togating?

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Yes, we did. We went and Ice skated. He was
not great.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
I help him.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
Yeah it was. I mean it was cute.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
But every time he almost fell and he was wobbling,
he would sing like whoa bricking on? I? Then you
would you like break out into a song like fool
song Whenever he got nervous, like he was living in
a musical. I mean, I understand nervous, but I absolutely

(07:10):
hate musicals exactly.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
So I was trying to help him skate forward and
then do a little He was like, I want to
skate backwards like you. So I was like, okay, do
it like this, and then he started.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Singing it like, started singing as he.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
Was wobbling, and I'm just like, how can I help
you when you're in the middle.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Of a musical.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
It was just wild and people were looking at us
and it was like, what is going on?

Speaker 7 (07:39):
Like I was thinking about like the future of us,
Like if we were out at dinners, you got to
start serenading me at the table and sing, you know,
like we're in a musical, and it's like people are
going to stop and stare.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
I'm like, he's ordering, and he's like, I would like
a mud and I'm stick seriously, like I be at
the table with that.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
All right, Well, thank you for being honest with us,
and Sonny, I'll remind you since you've heard the show before,
you might have heard one of these. But Byron is
on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
Oh it's here, Oh God, okay, hey Sony, Hi.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Uh question for you what kind of person hates musicals.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
I just don't want to experience when it gets my
will my son's ankles are about to give out.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Okay, pause, I was not giving out. I was just
adjusting to the ice, and the singing helped me adjust.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
I mean, like.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Sometimes I get a little sing song you when I
get nervous.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
But you were like warning the entire RNK that a
fall was coming. It was like a tornado siren on skates.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Okay, well her pause. And I would like to point out,
like you say that.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
As if your missus perfect missus, like I skate backwards
and just give you unsolicited coaching cues the whole time.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
Hey, I was trying to help you.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
I didn't know you were gonna turn it in a
Frozen three the Panic edition.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Okay again, hurtful.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Sorry, And you didn't have to who we're at it.
You didn't have to yell begs your knees like you
were sending me into battle.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
I get you were.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
About to take out a toddler.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Dressed as a penguin.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Oh my god. Okay.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
I apologized to that kid fourteen times, and I even
offered to buy him a hot chocolate.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Way you out a kid dressed as a penguin.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
I live. I forgot to mention that.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Yeah, and he ran away from you because you sang
in him too.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
I was trying to lighten a mood, and everybody knows
singing lightens the mood.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Everybody.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Well, Sonny, would you like to go on another date
with Byron? We'll pay for it.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
I don't know. I mean, you aren't very sweet and
you're funny.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
I don't know. All right, Well you know what, Sonny,
it's that that will convince you.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Maybe this will, Oh god, sunshine on an.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Oh my god, code out shot? Take you ice skated?

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yeah, I guess you.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yeah, bring home?

Speaker 4 (10:44):
What can make me? I'm talking about sunny?

Speaker 6 (11:00):
You think now?

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Byron? Nice job, man, I keep going sunny. What do
you think one?

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Oh my god, you're the richest baby.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Singing for another day?

Speaker 6 (11:20):
